A tale of two brands
Sophie Mancini's Departures paper on S in NY started a flurry of comments even before the whole content was made available on blogs. That people - mostly in Mordor - jumped in to add their two booing cents on the matter, based on two or three Instagram Story screencaps only, is a testimony to Tumblr's community deep interest in S's slightest PR/sales move and the easiness with which people like *urv managed to push their own agenda, in the process, to her unsuspecting, bicep-loving crowd.
Many of these comments asked just one question, more or less kindly and more or less openly: who are you, Sam Roland Heughan? Some of them, more along my alley, took a different angle: who are you talking to, Sam Roland Heughan?
Let me count the US crowds: the Wall Street yuppie crowd? the old money, WASP Knickerbocker / Colony Club crowd? Tribeca's sophisticated, culture-ish snob crowd? the UN international crowd? the laid-back (-ish) brownstone Brooklyn crowd? the DC politico types? the Boston Brahmin crowd? the Silicon Valley Bitcoin crowd? the Florida Latino crowd? the Bible Belt crowd? the Deep South charmingly old-fashioned crowd? the yee-haw, witty and ambitious Texans? the gourmet, nature-loving Seattle crowd? I am sure I am missing some (it's been a while I haven't traveled to the States and I have to say I miss all 50 of them, plus and perhaps above all my beloved DC :), but you get the idea. And the problem, or rather its first layer.
The second question this very poorly written article prompted is: what are you talking about, Sam Roland Heughan? I mean, what destination are you trying to promote? Scotland, through your Scottish gin, which I truly believe is exceptional? The Big Apple, like a counterpart to Sting, you know - a Scotsman in New York? That's not very clear, since that superficial girl just whirled you to a couple Chinatown speakeasies, rat pitter-patter included (bye-bye, Knickerbocker crowd right there) and that's pretty much it. New Zealand, that you mention at length, Maori tattoo story re-hashed, just because the book comes out next Tuesday? Ha-wa-wee, perhaps in a belated attempt to mitigate Tunagate? California, even, because it takes you back to humble beginnings? Granted, the Frisco one, not LA: that would be a horrible faux-pas, in a NY centered paper, much like me whimsically and idiotically mentioning Istanbul (instead of Constantinople), in a conversation with my Greek friends.
My head spins. And then let's add to that a ladle of recycled talking points, yours and C's altogether, like this gem:
Tumblr media
Aspirational. Mmmhm. She said that. You said that. Multiple times, in multiple contexts that probably didn't even call for it. This is *** PR right there. I am not JAMMF. I am not Claire. But we aspire to that. Stop thinking we are these characters. No sane fan ever did: the insistence is unnecessary and has a real backfire potential. Stop thinking, period. But let it be my shipper sin, then, not to believe an iota of it and stubbornly think you people are, by now, way past the aspirational stage.
So, I took a long walk down memory lane today, while driving, trying to understand what the hell your personal brand is. Once upon a time, things were clear: you and C were a single brand. S&C - the fresh-faced, candid, witty and funny and oh, so in love new kids on the block. The spark was real and it was strong (it still is, only dampened and muted by PR-prompted shenanigans) and OL's audience was under its spell. People loved you, both of you, and some of us still do. You showed us as much as you could and for a while, it seemed to be convenient for just about everybody. That created expectations, but at the same time, you could have sold us land concessions on the Moon and we would have bought them, no questions asked.
And then, things happened. We know what: IFH, EFH, Remarkable Week-end. The spell was broken for many, who left in droves. Fans turned into bashing other fans. The S&C brand was progressively compromised and along with it, your Barbour Ambassadorship (for different reasons). Let's stop a bit at this point, in fond remembrance: that was the perfect pitch, for the perfect kind of corporate brand, for the perfect niche, for the perfect guy. A guy who had a credible, authentic story to tell, with a really strong potential to attract people outside of OL's crowd. Image and message perfectly aligned. Best case scenario.
So, with ***'s and your own PR benediction, what once was your solid gold starting point was ridiculed, trampled, shot to shambles, in a (failed) attempt to be sent to complete oblivion. You then had to think of something and try to branch out of both the blessing and curse of it.
MPC suddenly became more important than just any other charity project, of which there were a few (Cahonas Scotland comes to mind, the blood cancer one, as well). Cue in Sam the Athlete, Sam the Healthy Living Evangelist. The project was turned into a lucrative business, with a strong charity side. People bought subscriptions, people changed their eating and lifestyle habits, people lost weight - but really, I shouldn't write 'people', but 'women'. This was a women-oriented endeavor. A problem, again, on the long term.
Ha-wa-wee 1 happened, to more scandal and shrieks (that, I believe, was the reason you lost the Barbour project, another gold opportunity squandered because ten Internet bitches knew better). Then we were told another avatar was born: Sam the Entrepreneur. With a genuine, carefully curated, labor of love first alcohol product that clearly used the discarded S&C brand: The Sassenach and believe what you want, but just buy it. Mommies obliged. Antis obliged. Shippers obliged. All wallets are created equal, as I (often) use to say. And then COVID-19 came, putting a very real, very dangerous logistic strain on it.
Yet, you still had to somehow mitigate delays and losses. The Sassenach went exotic, with that limited edition tequila that probably won't be remembered by many outside OL's fandom, and that is a pity and a shame. The reason it won't be remembered is that you almost did not promote it, spare one or two Tick-Tock and Instagram clips. Does that justify the investment, the trips to Mexico, the very expensive retainers and commissions your tequila friends took for their trouble? I very much doubt it. That was, until being proved completely wrong, a flop. It brought absolutely nothing in terms of personal branding, spare perhaps a new faction in this paranoid cesspool of a fandom: the Gay Crowd, fueled by the image of a Lonely Bandana Cowboy, instead of the intended Sophisticated Traveler and Connoisseur. Yes, people are stupid, like that. Your PR and Sales team, too - and this comes from a place of deep understanding and appreciation.
We are now talking gin and boy, am I glad we do! This is perhaps an opportunity. Finally, a more democratically price-tagged, carefully tailored (again) drawing card product. But who is selling it to me? The California Boat Party Host? In that case, I won't buy it, but never mind me: maybe the fun-loving California Millennials would (we know the Smuggling Mommies would do it, anyways). The Sophisticated Traveler and Connoisseur you tried to show us again in Mancini's abysmal Departures paper and who is invited to important events, in recognition of his efforts?
You can't have the two of them, Sam, whatever those incompetents told you. You're either a 43-years old midlife crisis-stricken and shirtless clown or an Old World Industrious Thespian, with a stature and a status to match. A real Entrepreneur, not a cartoon scuba diver/beach boy Influencer. Eye Candy vs. Brain Power: after all, you are a '3x NYT best selling author', aren't you? Your pick, not mine. Stop the Sri Mataji-style Hugging and Booze tours: it's nonsense and that geriatric crowd is nowhere near what you need to make your dream come true. Do some real soul searching and stop listening to clueless 28-year old journalists, who tell you tacky rings are fun: they aren't. They make you look like an ageing Atlantic City Sinatra wannabe:
Tumblr media
Sam Roland Heughan: currently at crossroads, trying to not choose between two opposite personal brands. Tricky position and an even trickier context, with the strike still lingering on and the pressing need to find an after OL strategy.
I promised you a tale of two brands and I think you wonder, by now, what happened to C, the other half of the primary SC brand?
The answer is, I honestly believe, not much. She has no personal brand, so to speak. Until now, she is just an Enthusiastic Dilettante. Book Club - started, unfinished and with that, farewell to any fan engagement. Cinema production rights - bought and then silence. Botanical Gin - first batch released (?) with no promo, no interviews (mentioning it in a podcast does not count), no reviews. Then teasing, then crickets again: a bit late, now, for the end of year celebrations. And I have to say I miss her or the part of her I never witnessed in real time (is such a thing possible?). I miss that starry-eyed, funny and witty girl. That girl was somehow completely swallowed by an Acrid Matron, who thought it was intelligent to yell at an Internet nobody, on Christmas Day, 'I am not married to Sam!' (ok, you aren't, but you're still lying). And I honestly don't know which one is best (or worst, for that matter): try to build something and make mistakes and try again until you hopefully find your way, or say nothing, do nothing and of course, never be controversial.
Now I am really interested to see how is she going to promote her gin. But you know what, I am not holding my breath, for some reason.

Dad was cheap
Like not funny ha ha cheap.. Like he was, but also wtf infuriating cheap
He would tithe to the church all he felt he should, I mean litterally every few months, they would post in a special bulletin who gave and how much total. Dick measuring to guilt others if I ever saw it. That's the only time I'd hope he had been cheap but no...
He was an LPN, almost RN but he decided not, back in the 70s was a different outlook of those peeps and roles in industry.
I saw his pay stubs after he died when cleaning out his shed.... Naturally that's where they go. I couldn't believe how little he made, so I get frugal, I get I got second hand clothes a huge percentage of time and those handed down to my brother, but he always provided.
Mom didn't work until we were out of the house. Raising two boys and I can tell stories... She SHOULD have been paid... She mentally survived though, I guess you do.
His cheapness didn't affect basic to intermediate auto repairs, my dad had everything done at a shop, I grew up craving to do it, oil/coolant /brake /transmission fluid changing, doing my own brakes, shocks, suspension, most top engine parts, diagnosing electrical and physical gremlins. I still do, not out of necessity but because I enjoy it.
Hurt when I told dad I would do his brakes, he never had me, I would just charge parts, I know where to buy them, just like oil, I can buy great quality brake parts for both axles and come in well under what a shop does mediocre for one axle in price, and they don't treat your car like it's theirs, the tactics in which one needs to remove parts at times with violence I am well versed, as well as taking the time to do it right and careful gets cut sometimes, but I respect it was his choice.
The most cheap thing he did and it pissed me off one time and I finally got him to understand was tipping. Ten dollar meal, 80 cents, 50 dollar meal a few dollars. Now I will say it's up to everyone to tip how they want, and I do agree tipping for things now in some respects are out of control, but I started out as a puppy in the service industry, and while I didn't need to earn tips, I ran the kitchen and interacted directly with those that did and my performance could fuck them from tips and so I made sure I cooked and plated like every meal made was mine.
We were up in Canada, stopped at some strip mall diner, ordered burgers, my dad thought his was not done quite enough, but otherwise everything was fine, we were trying to get to upstate NY to bury my grandmother, his mom and I get maybe he was under duress, but I was too, I was doing all the driving because I love to drive but still it's very long and need to focus too much, people are assholes when you take a nap for a bit driving for some reason, like jeez I get it🤣
I watched my dad get the bill, easiest was to pay with card, and not screw with the did different currencies.
I noticed be put a dash on the tip, just wrote the total on the bottom. Now if it's a place you get your food and no service after I get maybe adjusting.
We got multiple how are things? I had 3 Coca-Colas, he had mutiple cups of coffee, a napkin run.... So.... Was not like the server that ran his card and looked defeated as she watched him sign it deserved it.
We get out side, he's opening door, I stand at curb.
Me : dad wtf was that?
Dad :was what?
Me: why the fuck did you stiff the server
Dad: the burger wasn't that good
Me: so?
Dad: was expensive too
Me: no dad it wasn't, it's in their currency, it's same we pay
Dad: ok, well next time...
Me: next time what? Next time we go here? Have her as a server? Or eat again??
Dad: next time we eat
Me: well we are here now
Dad : we have a schedule
Me: the hell we do, so skip a rest stop if we have to, you know we are arriving over three days before she's buried, don't give me this schedule crap, we stop when we want, and don't push our trips
Dad: what do you want me to do
Me : go in there, tip her, tell her you're an ass or that you forgot, I don't care
Dad: next time
Me :did she do anything wrong with service
Dad :the burger was...
Me: no, not her sorry, go bitch to a manager or call the prime minister or something, that was the cook...
Dad : well my coffee mug had something on it
Me: ok.. Hey excuse me miss, can you flog the dishwasher or please get me another mug, somehow this one isn't clean...
Dad: ok! (opens up wallet) all I have is a 10 and hundreds, I will get change next stop....
Me: and drive back and tip her?
Dad : that's absurd
Me: (opening up my wallet) well I only have 20s, that's fine, but if you make me be the one to walk in and do it I am walking away
Dad : son you won't walk off
Me: yes, we both paid our own meals, I tipped her very well for mine, I am good walking to grandma's, not like if I don't make it she would know
Dad : you don't have the money...
Me : don't care I'll sell my body to science or give handjobs, but riding with you that can't understand the principle of the structure and your issues are mechanisms to justify not spending more than the tab, I have watched you for years, you get up from table and mom ends up digging money out of purse and laying tip at the table.
Dad : she doesn't...
Me :the fuck she don't, call her. She just laughs and says... That's your father... I'm not laughing
Dad : (walks into restaurant hands woman the 10 and she smiles)
*walking back to car*
Me: dad I know I was a dick, and I love you, but you irk me
Dad : I know, your mother got mad last week over same thing
Me: good
Dad: besides I need you to ride with me, no one wants your calloused hands giving hand jobs
*laughter *
He got better as he aged, helped I think to have kids move out of house, mom started working a bit after we moved out and food bill fell 🤣, he would ask me and mom what would be a good tip for the meal and service, for years he tried to wrap his mind around how I tipped, service not based on tab. Eat at a diner, server runs their ass off for you, 25 dollar tab, verses same effort from high end restaurant and they should get more? No... So I tip high compared to low tabs and normal for high, dad never understood how for a 12 dollar meal, I'd give 10 tip, not about the price to me.
As he aged he started to throw his money around more, but still had moments.
I remember the car accident, one I wrote about a while back, just out of Sudbury, Canada
Flipped the car, destroyed the vehicle, the car top carrier, the only time we brought our bikes to grandmas the were hanging off the back and trashed, mom had a concussion, Justin had a broken collar bone, so much lost and broken and he said... I just filled up the tank 20 miles back... Dang it should have waited.

Exploring the Legends of Rap/Hip-hop
Roots Of The Modern Rap
In the ever-evolving landscape of rap music, certain artists stand out in each decade not only because of their musical prowess but also because of their distinctive style and the contributions they have made to the genre. As we continue to explore the world of rap legends, we'll look at three influential artists from the '00s: MF DOOM, Kanye West, and 50 Cent.
MF DOOM: The Mysterious Wordsmith
A true underground icon in the world of hip-hop, Daniel Dumile was known by his stage name MF DOOM (among other aliases). MF DOOM captivated audiences with his enigmatic personality and innovative approach to rap music through his intricate wordplay, complex rhyme schemes and signature mask.
Born in London and raised on Long Island, MF DOOM first came to prominence as part of the duo KMD. He then embarked on a career as a solo artist. His album 'Operation: Doomsday, which came out in 1999, gave audiences a glimpse of his villainous superhero persona, inspired by Marvel Comics's Doctor Doom.
Over the course of his career, MF DOOM has released a number of critically acclaimed albums, including 'Mm. Food" and "Madvillainy", which saw him collaborate with producer Madlib. His distinctive flow and introspective lyrics have earned him a loyal fan base and cemented his legacy as one of the most innovative artists in the history of hip hop.
Kanye West: The Man Who Needs Therapy
Few artists have influenced rap and popular culture as profoundly as Kanye West. From his groundbreaking production work to his boundary-pushing creativity, Kanye has consistently pushed the boundaries and redefined what rap music can be.
Having begun his career producing for the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye quickly became a successful solo artist with the release of his debut album The College Dropout in 2004. Featuring soulful beats, introspective lyrics, and fearless social commentary, The College Dropout established Kanye as one of the biggest names in rap music.
Since then, Kanye has continued innovating and experimenting with his sound, with albums like 'Late Registration', 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' and 'Yeezus' receiving critical acclaim. Cementing his status as one of the most influential artists of his generation, Kanye's influence extends beyond music into fashion, design, and even politics. Because of this, he is one of the most hated artists of all time.
50 Cent: From the Streets to the Spotlight
Curtis Jackson, a.k.a. 50 Cent, became a household name in the early 2000's with his dark street stories and catchy hooks. Hailing from the rough streets of Queens, NY, 50 Cent was catapulted to stardom with his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', which became one of the top selling rap albums ever.
With hits like "In da Club", "21 Questions" and "P.I.M.P.", 50 Cent quickly became a household name with his trademark bravado and no-nonsense attitude. He drew listeners into his world, offering a glimpse into the harsh realities of street life through his raw lyricism and compelling storytelling.
In addition to music, 50 Cent has expanded his empire into a variety of business ventures, including film production, acting and entrepreneurship. His status as one of the most influential figures in hip-hop history is inarguable, and his impact on both the rap industry and popular culture as a whole is undeniable.
To sum up, MF DOOM, Kanye West, and 50 Cent are not only rap artists but also public idols that everyone from all over the world idolizes. Their innovative approaches to music, fearless creativity, and unflinching authenticity that make them special, have solidified their place in the palace of rap royalty.

Heey so normally you know i would be thirsting over Hook but ive always been thirsty for Santana. So i was wondering if you can do a fic with him idc whats it about. PLEASE I WILL GIVE YOU MY LEFT PINKY TOE FOR THIS
In Da Club - Santana
Eddie Kingston's little sister is turning 30, so he flies her out to party in Miami. What he doesn't know is she has been seeing Santana casually.
P.s. Sorry it took me so long to get to this request. I hope you still like it! BTW your left pinky toe is safe... for now. 😉
Tumblr media
My brother Eddie always makes sure he is able to celebrate my birthday with me. Sometimes he comes home and parties back in Yonkers and sometimes he flies me out to meet him wherever he is working. Well, this year my birthday is on a Saturday and I'm turning 30, so Eddie decides to go all out and let me invite anyone I would like to fly with me to Miami. I invited a few of my closest friends and now we are getting ready for the night in our hotel suite.
Eddie facetimes me so I answer and blush as I see Eddie and all of his AEW friends on screen yelling Happy Birthday to me. I tell them thank you and ask my brother for the plan for tonight. "Well sis, I figured we need to go to a club and get you wasted to celebrate the end of your 20s." I agree and tell him to text me the details and we will meet them there.
My friends and I go out to dinner before hand and they are asking me all sorts of questions. "Is Eddie single? Does he have friends who are single? Does he have friends who may become single soon?" We laugh and I give them the general idea of relationship statuses. "Eddie had a girlfriend, Jon is married to Renee, Ortiz is single, and Santana is off limits." The girls look at me and smirk before Ashley pipes up "You seem to be protective of Santana... Does that mean his is off limits to us because you're going for it?"
I blush and shake my head "Not exactly... so Eddie doesn't know but whenever Santana comes back to NY, we tend to fool around a bit. But it has never been anything official." The girls gasp dramatically "So scandalous...how dare you not tell us until now." I giggle before responding "It's only once or twice a year, so it doesn't seem that important to talk about to you."
We finish dinner and they try their best to hype me up to make a move on Santana as we approach the club. I text Eddie to let him know we are here and he comes to the entrance to take us to the VIP section he rented out for us. "Damn Eddie, you went way overboard this year." He hugs me and laughs "Anything for my little sister." We get some drinks and start dancing around until I spot Santana coming our way.
Eddie greets him and reintroduces us as we awkwardly pretend we don't know each other that well. Once Eddie is far enough away, Santana places his hand on my lower back and leans down to whisper into my ear. "Mami, you looking stunning tonight. I've missed you so much." I smile and give him a quick cheek peck before responding "You're looking muy caliente Papi." He smirks and turns around to talk to Ortiz so Eddie doesn't get suspicious.
I take the chance to dance with my girls and drink the rest of my cocktail. Eddie comes over a few minutes later telling me we have to do shots and my friends and I all yell "Shots shots shots!!!" We all get shots of whatever we wanted and then we had to toast. Eddie's loud mouth opens up and I cringe expecting him to embarass me somehow "Here's to my little sis Y/N and her surviving her 20s without getting knocked up by some punk." There it is... I roll my eyes and we take our shots before going back to dancing and having fun.
Santana comes back over and whispers to me "Do you think that was directed at me?" I laugh and shake my head "I've had plenty of asshole boyfriends that he despises to this day. You have nothing to worry about." We talk for a bit before the DJ plays In Da Club by 50 cent. All of us get so hype and yell and scream about it being my birthday as the song plays.
Go, go, go, go, go, go
Go, shorty It's your birthday
We gon' party like it's your birthday
We gon' sip Bacardi like it's your birthday
And you know we don't give a fuck it's not your birthday
You can find me in the club, bottle full of bub
Look, mami, I got the X, if you into takin' drugs
I'm into havin' sex, I ain't into makin' love
So come give me a hug, if you into getting rubbed
I expected Santana to walk off during the song, but I'm pleasantly surprised when I feel his hands loosely holding my hips and him lightly grinding into me. I look behind me at him and he winks before I push my hips back into him and grind as he keeps a close eye out for Eddie. Luckily, my brother is distracted with his own girlfriend for the time being.
I can feel the alcohol kicking in and loosening me up so I let my hand wrap around Santana's neck and I pull his lips down to meet mine. It was a short kiss, but passionate enough to keep both of us focused on each other. I can feel him getting harder against my ass as I bend over and shake my ass making him quickly slap it before I stood back up and turned to face him. I wrap my arms around his neck and his hands rest on my lower back. We kiss again and our tongues start to dance on their own.
One of my friends taps me on the shoulder to let us know Eddie is coming over and I go to pull away, but Santana smiles at me. "I think it's time he found out about us Mami." I nod and kiss him again before letting our foreheads touch and dance together. "I see you've made a new friend here Y/N. Care to introduce me?" I turn around and see Eddie smiling like the Joker. I blush and stutter trying to think of things to say, but Santana pipes up instead "I promise I'll take good care of her Eddie." He laughs and pats Santana on the back "I've known about your little flings for a while now. Just don't break each other's hearts. Got it?" We look at each other and smile nodding. "Great, now I hate thinking about my little sis doing the nasty but at least if she gets knocked up it's someone I trust!" I turn around and smack him on the arm as he runs back to his girlfriend laughing.
Tumblr media
I roll my eyes at my brother before turning back to Santana who is smiling so big. "What's that smile for?" He pulls me closer "Since I seem to have your brother's approval now, how about we make things official?" My jaw drops at this idea "Are you serious right now? We only see each other once or twice a year."
He smirks "That's only because I have to stop myself from coming to see you more often as I didn't want your brother to catch on. Obviously he did, so now I can come home whenever possible and we can always fly you out as well." I sigh and think about it for a moment before nodding my head and smiling at him. "So Y/N will you be mine Mami?" I kiss him and whisper against his lips "For as long as you are mine Papi."

I feel like I overhyped my theory so sorry if it’s lame… Okay so my theory is basically my two cents but this is solely based of my experiences from irl relationships and analyzing celebs for fun. So I was also the anon that suggested that Joe assimilated into her life but she hasn’t to his. And I know we go back and forth with how deep they’re in this. But since she didn’t show up yesterday I wanna go back and say maybe this isn’t as serious for him and it is for her. Okay so when ppl get in rs you only start introducing them to important ppl in your like after you know it’s serious right? Unless you met through mutual friends of course, but it’s still kinda sus to me that he’s been hanging out with her circle and kind of going along what she says but hasn’t really reciprocated, even with the pap pics. It makes me think this is how he protects his peace and basically his heart, he allows himself to be involved with his gf’s life but doesn’t let her do the same for him because he doesn’t want his romance seeping into his private personal life just yet. Like the fact that he went to the Burberry event but she wasn’t at the Fargo premiere, the fact that we got a sighting with her friends but nothing with nat and Charlie. Maybe over time we’ll see a change like if she visits on set during filming but as of right now he’s keeping the two aspects of his life heavily separated. I don’t think he’s ready for that kind of seriousness that she’s putting forth. Which may also be why he didn’t reciprocate in the pap pics. I’m sure they probably had a talk afterwards and thought DM was a happy medium but also DM isn’t a public tabloid yk? So his business isn’t completely “aired” out. I feel like he might have trauma from his past rs or maybe he knows the MO and duration of chase’s previous rs and doesn’t want to get super involved when it’ll end in a few months. I also think like others have said he simply doesn’t wanna be alone. It’s daunting to go from living with someone to living by yourself and after his breakup he was working a lot so he was rarely in NY and the few weeks/days he was here he probably filled it up by hanging out with friends and family. But this is the biggest stretch he’s been home alone and he probably misses someone or as ppl dub cuffing season 🕵️‍♀️
Ohh I love this!
I think you’re definitely on to something. Because something is up. We’ve only seen them or had big sightings of them on what is seemingly her terms? Meeting her friends, the Burberry event, the pap pics and from what we can tell she wasn’t at the whiskey thing or the Fargo event. So maybe you’re right, he’s protecting himself.
but my question is, what is he protecting himself from? If he’s doing that. I would think it’s he assumes that this might not last past filming? Or he’s just very timid because of what’s happened to him in the past. He doesn’t mind going and doing stuff with her people and doing stuff with her and for her, but when it comes to him, he seems to be a little bit more reserved.
I think a lot of people thought that she would show up at the Fargo thing, and I was very 50-50 on that. I felt like maybe it was so soon that she couldn’t go, or he just felt like he was gonna be too busy and didn’t invite her. Or they just were essentially taking this little break from each other to get some shit done before they can hang out again .
either way, I think that they are cute together, I still just don’t think it’s going to last for very long

Next order of business : My Plans for infrastructure in a utopian society hotels jobs pay raise on citizens paycheck from 15 $ - 17 $ dollars minimum wage pay to 19$ dollars to 20$ dollars an hour to better provide for all costs emergencies uncovered insurance payments due to partial health care coverage and full union membership granted to employees of any company free education grants and school loans payment plans

Joe Biden and vice president Kamala Harris should include this law into all of their plan for cleaning up America I'm glad to see it go beyond New York City and other counties in New York I want to share this honor with author Michelle Alexander who I did my research from her book about mass incarceration of the black and Latino community and the political office and my friends that help put this law in place I reached out to hopefully stop the recidivism to prison and hopefully to help some of my friends and people that go back and forth to jail because they couldn't get a job due to the felonies on their record I recommend a certificate of relief of disabilities to all people returning to society if they haven't given you one go get it from your county's or borough courthouse it works wonders .
Next order of business : Tax cuts to help the everyday person keep more of their check in their pockets cut the tax rates in New York City by 4 percent I see it as New York State taxes % 8.82 to % 4 percent and business tax cuts to create more jobs Proposal For a Wage increase of $ 22 dollars an hour Including : Fire safety directors Security guards Librarians Fed Ex workers UPS workers Ready Willing and able with free vocational grants from access vr programs they should hire vocational rehabilitation counselors and job developers finding permanent housing and permanent job placement after the clients training Stock Clerks and cashier's at major stores like Gristedes , C Town , met foods , Burlington coat factory wage increase for all warehousing and factory workers jack pallet and forklift training for people with no experience and a starting salary at $ 17 - 19 $ dollars an hour and it increase with more time on the job how about the first year at that base salary of $ 17 - 19 $ dollars and on the even of that year the employee gets an raise of $ 2 dollars more on their check and other financial incentives as cash allocation from their check for newly place employee mutual fund packages besides with other benefits that said company is offering this helps to place that company on the stock market grant their employees preferred stock options from their company that they work for at that current moment and because of the huge huge employee buy in it is like the employers are investing in their employees and their stores and company .
Educational requirements for jobs posted is less than a high school diploma but the job candidate has to be in a vocational program or GED preparation course half or full time hours .
Civil service jobs and exams posted weekly .
Sales professional salary plus commission on sales and stock options for mutual funds packages as bonuses with an wage increase to $ 19 dollars to $ 21 dollars an hour .
Newly added benefits to a job description benefits an employer on jobs posted give to their employees an employer get to hold back cash or take money out of an employees check to put towards a mutual funds stock fund option to help that client make more money as a second job the municipals funds and stock and funds and stock and then you gotta get hedge funds option packaged in to help the employees money make more money for them talk about overtime whew and at the same time that local market and store owner can put his company on the stock market and give out public shares thus in the end making it a good investment a regular place of shopping in a family like environment it is like getting to know your deli clerk , butcher , bakery attendant again only this time you are making money with the people you are spending money with Think about it that in turns build better communities better stores customer relationships safer neighborhoods and the beautifying of economically depressed environments more money for your kids college tuition school supplies newer roads being built leading to and from better neighborhoods and businesses and this is a future that we all as fellow New Yorkers can build together .

Kanye West: no American icon has ever self-destructed so spectacularly
This article is more than 1 month old
Andrew Lawrence
Tumblr media
Sat 29 Oct 2022 03.00 EDT
No longer was West the dorky producer turned rapper agitating to break out of Jay-Z’s shadow. He had become something even bigger: a true star. The only person who could stop Kanye was Kanye – or Ye, as he’s preferred to be known of late.
Now his empire lies in a smoldering heap in the wake of the 45-year-old artist’s October media blitz.
West himself says he lost $2bn in a single daythis week.
First there was the smear campaign against his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, then the White Lives Matter fashion statement in Paris, then his complete transformation into an alt-right puppet. And it crescendoed with West’s fusillade of unprompted antisemitic commentary, starting with him needling the Kushner family during an hourlong Tucker Carlson sit-down in early October, that cost West his diverse portfolio.
Gap, JP Morgan and Creative Artists Agency are among a raft of partners that quickly cut ties. All the while West dug in, claiming on a podcast appearance that Adidas – whom West teamed with after leaving Nike – would never leave him regardless of how many more antisemitic assertions he made.
But a week later, Adidas went their own way too, a move the company reckons cost them $246m in potential fourth-quarter earnings. Overall, West’s Yeezy line accounted for as much as 8% of Adidas’s bottom line. No wonder it took them a week to break up with him.
We’re a long way from the days when a Kanye drop used to mean something else entirely, a deeply immersive sound collage from the vanguard of pop music’s new wave. After years of being typecast as a producer, albeit one who had a hand in Jay-Z’s seminal Blueprint album, West crossed over into emceeing in 2003 with The College Dropout – which didn’t just distinguish him from the gangsta rappers of the era, but made preppy style and nerd idolatry cool. Two years later he consolidated that break with Late Registration, a Billboard blockbuster that marked a sea change in pop music.
West may not have been gangsta in the 50 Cent mold, but he was tough in his own way. He had his own near-death moment, a 2002 car crash that shattered his jaw. During an emergency surgery, a metal plate was inserted into his chin and his jaw was wired shut – a fortunate outcome that nonetheless would disadvantage an aspiring rapper. But West used the experience, rapping about it over a sped-up Chaka Khan hit. That single, Through the Wire, became the lead single of The College Dropout and announced West as a talent who could not be deterred.
Tumblr media
And yet, astonishingly: he nearly survived every controversy until Adidas changed their number and things came to a head this month. Now, with just about all his collaborators gone, West isn’t just off Forbes’ billionaires list. He’s a toxic asset. Not even the rightwing pundit Candace Owens will have him on her show now – and West was supposed to buy the rightwing social network Parler off her chief executive husband. Loyal fans who took West’s antics as judo moves to get out of his apparel brand deals surely must feel let down after hearing West made an unsolicited visit to Skechers’ LA offices and was shooed away. “I don’t think a board of directors in a million months of Sundays would ever allow a business to touch him again,” says Matt Baker, the chief strategy officer at the brand management firm Deutsch NY.
Where West’s rise beat the odds, his downfall beggars belief. No American icon has ever self-destructed so spectacularly – not the actors (Mel Gibson, Isaiah Washington), TV creepers (Matt Lauer, Bill O’Reilly), sports heroes (Michael Vick, Joe Paterno) or even the tabloid targets (Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan). Even Roseanne Barr, who once dressed as Hitler and was finally written off her own TV reboot after a racist one-liner about former White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, didn’t have her fingers in as many pies as West – not only desperate for new partners, but a new divorce attorney, too. Camille Vasquez, the attorney who redeemed Johnny Depp, won’t touch West, either.
It’s only in recent days that West has trialed an apology on Lex Fridman’s podcast, another unoriginal version of the “if I offended” word salad. But it didn’t make things better for the students of his briefly shuttered Donda Academy, or vindicate his tarnishing of George Floyd – or stop him from spouting more offensive rhetoric. But with Ye’s billions reduced to millions and JP Morgan no longer willing to grant him loans against his net worth or otherwise engage the classic rich guy tax avoidance game, West might soon find the only entity willing to engage him is the IRS – and for them, Heartless is more than a West anthem. It’s modus operandi, too.
Kanye West had it all – wealth, power, status, autonomy. But in the end it wasn’t enough. There was no predicting it would come crashing down so dramatically. And yet there’s still no telling how much farther he could fall.

My top 5 producers and a few words about them:
(In no particular order)
1. The Alchemist: A producer known mostly for his amazing work with samples, The Alchemist is someone who has worked with pretty much everyone. From big names such as Kendrick Lamar to smaller names such as Boldy James (and many more). His beats range from soulful jazz inspired beats to hard-hitting dark beats.
Some of my favorite beats of his include:
"Bernadines" by Boldy James
"Tapatio" by Curenn$y ft. Freddie Gibbs
"Willie Lloyd" by Freddie Gibbs
2. DJ Premier: Primo is a mostly old school producer, someone who was at his peak in the early 2000's and in the 90's. From working with NaS, Royce da 5'9, and Guru, Primo is undoubtedly one of the greatest producers the scene has ever seen.
Notable beats include:
"NY State Of Mind" by NaS
"Kick In The Door" by The Notorious B.I.G
"Mass Appeal" by Gangstarr
3. Conductor Williams: Conductor has been active for many years but has started gaining notoriety in the late 2010's and is now bigger than ever. His signature style consists of sampling old records and adding his own signature distortion on them. Some of the biggest names he's collabed with include J. Cole, Drake, and the Griselda Collective.
Songs to listen to:
"Euro Step" by Westide Gunn
"8 am in Charlotte" by Drake
"Michael Irvin" by Westide Gunn
4. Dr. Dre: Everyone knows Dre as a Rapper/Producer but if we're being honest, his most prominent skill was his producing. An amazing ear for melodies, Dre knows exactly what the artists he's collabing with need from him. His most notable collabs include Eminem, N.W.A, and Tupac.
Most memorable beats include but not limited to:
"Still D.R.E" by Dr. Dre
"In da Club" by 50 Cent
"Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige
5. Kanye West: We all know him, most of us love him, others don't. Kanye has been active since the late 90's-Early 00's. Having been one of the most decorated rappers/producers, it's difficult to ignore his cultural impact and his influence. He has produced for pretty much everyone in the game and still continues to do so, although his production has been kind of lazy these past few years, in my opinion. Notable collabs include Jay-Z, Twista, and The Game.
Most memorable beats:
"Overnight Celebrity" by Twista
"All Falls Down" by Kanye West
"N****s in Paris" by Kanye West
Honorable Mentions: Rick Rubin, Mike Dean, Havoc from Mobb Deep, Metro Boomin, Southside, Pharrell Williams.

FT: America breaks global rules as it defends the free world
@bible-news-prophecy-radio
COGwriter
Financial Times posted the following:
America breaks global rules as it defends the free world
27 May 2024
As an organising principle for western foreign policy, the “rules-based international order” has long suffered from some disastrous flaws. It is a phrase that means nothing to a normal person. As a result, it is a deeply uninspiring concept. People might go to war to defend freedom or the motherland. Nobody is going to fight and die for the RBIO. Nonetheless, senior western policymakers seem to be in love with the concept. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, is fond of appealing to the rules-based international order when he visits China. Rishi Sunak, Britain’s prime minister, has put the RBIO at the centre of UK foreign policy. His likely successor, Sir Keir Starmer, a former lawyer, will be just as committed to the idea. In opposing Russian aggression, Blinken argues that the US is standing up for a world based on rules rather than raw power. That is an attractive idea. But rules are meant to be consistent. And America’s own actions are undermining vital parts of the rules-based order. The past fortnight has brutally exposed these contradictions. The 100 per cent tariffs that the Biden administration has imposed on Chinese electric vehicles are virtually impossible to reconcile with international rules on trade. As a paper for Bruegel, a think-tank, puts it: “The tariffs . . . quash any notion that the US intends to abide by World Trade Organization rules.” America’s response to the prospect that the International Criminal Court will bring war crimes charges against Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, was also telling. Rather than supporting the court’s effort to enforce international law, Blinken told the US Congress that the administration would consider imposing sanctions on the ICC. https://www.ft.com/content/8249cd96-bda3-48c9-bf91-005df4125f9d
USA hypocrisy is more and more evident to the world as the above and what follows suggest:
America’s Hypocrisy as An Authoritarian State Being Exposed as Ukraine Founders
7 April 2024
Even though a growing number of Western elites are awakening to the reality that Ukraine is headed for defeat and will drag NATO along with it, the so-called intellectual cognoscenti of foreign policy, like the editorial board of the NY Times, continue to indulge fantasies and delusions. They conclude a Sunday editorial pleading for more money for Zelensky and the losing cause with this:
Mr. Trump and his followers may argue that the security of Ukraine, or even of Europe, is not America’s business. But the consequence of allowing a Russian victory in Ukraine is a world in which authoritarian strongmen feel free to crush dissent or seize territory with impunity. That is a threat to the security of America, and the world.
The Washington and New York establishments continue to insist that Vladimir Putin is an “authoritarian strongman.” I have one word of advice — look in the … mirror and pay attention to what is happening in the United States before you mount your moral high horse and gallop off to lecture other countries on democracy and human rights.
When I read penultimate sentence in the paragraph above I asked myself the question, “How many political prisoners are there in Russia?” I was not surprised by the answer.
“For political prisoners, the situation is often worse, because the state aims to additionally punish them, or additionally isolate them from the world, or do everything to break their spirit,” Vaypan said. His group counts 680 political prisoners in Russia.
Guess what? The United States has prosecuted (and persecuted) twice as many political prisoners than Russia.
In the three years since the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol, federal prosecutors have charged more than 1,265 defendants across nearly all 50 states and D.C. and secured sentences of incarceration for more than 460 people, according to newly released numbers from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C.
In remarks Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland described the Justice Department’s sprawling probe of the Capitol attack as “one of the largest and most complex and resource-intensive investigations in our history.”
None of these numbers capture the law fare assault on former President Trump and many of the people who served in key positions during his administration. The Biden Administration routinely chastises many other countries — most recently India — for prosecuting political opponents. Talk about lack of self-awareness and irony. https://sonar21.com/americas-hypocrisy-as-an-authoritarian-state-being-exposed-as-ukraine-founders/
Yes there is a lot of hypocrisy and double standards in the USA. Rioters torched various part of Southern California about 5 or so years ago, and most went unpunished.
As far as I have been able to tell, most of those arrested related to the January 6, 2020 protests were arrested mainly for political purposes. Note that I said MOST and not ALL.
Yes, there also seems to be a legal double-standard as the United States Department of Justice has been more blatantly political the past 8 years or so.
The censorship of moral positions as well as scientific ones related to LGBTQ and COVID issues has been reprehensible as well.
The media, along with big tech, are often displaying their hypocrisy as they push many improper agendas that “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18) through their censorship.
This will not end well.
The truth does matter and hypocrisy is destructive.
The Bible warns:
5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. (Isaiah 10:5-6, KJV)
Yes, the USA is “an hypocritical nation” and will one day be no more (see Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel). The hypocritical ‘journalism’ and ‘big tech’ censorship is hurting the USA.
Yes, so are many statements from Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Consider that the press in the USA used to claim it was the “fourth branch” of the government, stemming from its claim that the media’s responsibility to inform the populace was essential to the healthy functioning of democracy.
That simply is not happening in the USA anymore–at least not in a fully truthful or unbiased way.
Did you know that the Bible warns about those who do not want to know about the truth?
Notice:
8 Now go, write it before them on a tablet, And note it on a scroll, That it may be for time to come, Forever and ever: 9 That this is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the Lord; 10 Who say to the seers, “Do not see,”And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. 11 Get out of the way, Turn aside from the path, Cause the Holy One of Israel To cease from before us.”
12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:
“Because you despise this word, And trust in oppression and perversity, And rely on them, 13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you Like a breach ready to fall, A bulge in a high wall ,Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. 14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern.” (Isaiah 30:8-14)
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13, KJV)
Many who do not trust the Bible, but instead trust in oppression and perversity, want ‘smooth things.’ Many want to love and believe a lie–and that is further condemned in Revelation 22:15.
In the CCOG, we continue to proclaim what the Bible teaches (e.g., watch our latest uploaded video: Gender Confusion, Science, and Scripture).
The USA needs national repentance.
But while that is not likely at this stage, personal repentance is.

Orwell’s 1984 by 2024? In 1949, the late George Orwell wrote a disturbing book about a totalitarian government called “nineteen-eighty four.” Despite laws that are supposed to protect freedom of speech and religion, we are seeing governments taking steps consistent with those that George Orwell warned against. We are also seeing this in the media, academia, and in private companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. With the advent of technology, totalitarianism beyond what Orwell wrote is possible. Does the Bible teach the coming a totalitarian state similar to George Orwell’s? What about the Antichrist and 666? Will things get worse? What is the solution? Dr. Thiel answers these questions and more in this video.

DThang Continues His Relentless Drill Assault With Back-to-Back Singles
Tumblr media
Blowing up in The Bronx with his daringly authentic brand of drill music, DThang cannot be stopped. This week, the young artist released two brand new singles and music videos, "Invite Only" and "Scene Pt. 2," continuing his relentless assault on the rap game. "Invite Only" dropped first, showcasing DThang's elastic flow and flexing his exclusive lifestyle over a hybrid club-drill instrumental.

The sequel to one of DThang's most-viewed singles, "Scene Pt. 2" is a worthy follow-up, as the young artist asserts his status as one of the biggest in his city's streets. Available on DSPs on Friday May 10th, the song originally launched as a "From The Block" video on For Shooters Only last week, filmed at The Bronx's Roberto Clemente State Park. The two new singles follow the raspy-voiced South Bronx rapper's "Many Opps," which saluted fellow NYC rapper 50 Cent.

After the rapper's exoneration earlier this year, DThang has spent the early part of 2024 reminding NY rap fans that he's one of the city's finest. DThang didn't wait to leave jail before dropping new music though – he shared the invigorating freestyle "Hard Day's Night / Last Day In" just before his release. The heartfelt music video for "Last Day In" racked up over 4.2 million views in three weeks.

Upon his release, DThang was greeted by his mentor French Montana, who gifted him a fresh piece of jewelry and took him shopping for the latest fits. On Valentine's Day, DThang delivered a fresh ode to all of his smoochies, with "Smoochie Valentine," inspired by Nelly and featuring a cameo by the legendary rapper in the video, which reached the Top 20 on YouTube's Trending Chart for Music with over 1.7 million views in its first week. Most recently, DThang shared “Drill Cappers,” a ferocious missive aimed at fake drillers and clout-chasers.
DThang emerged in 2021, leading a Bronx drill wave that took his city by storm. He tore up the streets with songs like "Gz Bop," "LIKE" and "Play It Back," generating tens of millions of views on his raw and authentic music videos. Alongside peers like Kay Flock, Sha Gz, and Bando, DThang was set to define the sound of Bronx drill for years to come.

Now fully exonerated and back in the drill game for good, DThang is ready to turn heads in and out of the Five Boroughs with his hard-nosed rhymes. Keep your eyes peeled for a new project, coming soon.
