I may or may not write smut? I'm not sure since I haven't really done it, but I will NOT write smut for characters under the age of 21

I won't write anything that has to do with the reader being super OP or being half of like, literally everything

When it comes to Y/N being an anthropomorphic animal/human or half of that, if stuff like that is canon in the fandom, then I'll write it (like a half human half monster for Undertale, or a Cat person for TMNT) but if stuff like that just doesn't exist in that world, then I most likely won't write it

I won't write a character being a racist, rapist, homophobic, transphobic or anything like that, those things are fucked up and aren't ok and that character I may write, might be someone else's comfort character and I don't want to ruin a character for someone

I won't write a character as being an abuser, sure, I could say they where abused some way in the past if it is relevant to the fic, but I will not write a character being an abuser themselves, that's just not right

I won't write yandere characters, it just feels to toxic to me to have someone be THAT possessive of someone

If a character is canonically underage, I will not age them up, if a reader or character is being romantically shipped with the underage character, the reader/character must and will be underage as well

Partner: Noun. Definition 1. Either of a pair of people engaged together in the same activity. Definition 2. A person or group that takes part with another or others in doing something. Definition 3. Either member of a married couple or of an established unmarried couple.

Abe had had many partners over the years. He remembered the first one. He remembered screaming when his first partner died. He carried on. He had to. For his sake. The more partners Abe had over the years, the less attached he got. They all died. No matter how hard he tried to protect them. Finally, Abe said no more. No more partners. No more deaths he could’ve prevented. Of course, he failed. It all went wrong the moment he got an invitation from Mark. A poker night. A night with friends. He was asked to do background checks on everyone.

Even people that Mark had known since he was a child. “Especially them” Mark had said. Even the butler and chef. “Even them”. Even himself. “Don’t trust anyone. Not even yourself”. There was only one person that he wasn’t instructed to do a check. Y/N L/N. The brand new District Attorney. Abe didn’t question this. He trusted Mark’s judgement.

That had been his first mistake. Trusting Mark.

Abe was edge from the moment he arrived at that mansion. Until you walked in. You burst into his life like the sun after a lifetime of night. It had been a long time since he had felt warmth like this. It terrified him. ‘No. Not another one.’ So Abe did what he thought was right. He drank. A lot. And then he punched you.

Mark was dead. Mark was murdered. And that was when it all went wrong.

You had found Mark’s body. You had screamed. But it was covered by the lightning . “Did you hear that lightning? Oh my god there’s been a murder!” Abe grabbed you, terrified and distraught, and immediately started to interrogate you. If not for the Butler… you would be his number one suspect. “You’re my new partner”. He had broken the one promise he had made to himself. But he reasoned with himself that if you were his partner then you would be safe. He didn’t know why he thought that. His track record with partners was terrible. But that didn’t matter. Protect Y/N. That was all he needed to do. Solving Mark’s murder was his secondary objective.

“The body. It’s gone. It’s fucking gone.”

He had found you talking to the Mayor. An old friend of yours. Abe felt his chest tighten at seeing how relaxed you were around Damien, he wanted you to that relaxed around him, he wanted to see your gaze soften when it fell on him.

But right now, he had to push aside his personal feelings. He needed to be professional. He needed to protect his new partner. The Colonel has a history with Mark, not a good one. All the clues are pointing to him, the Colonel did-wait why did you look like you were going to cry? Had Damien had said something? Had you figured it out?

Celine. The Seer. Damien’s sister. Mark’s ex wife.

Abe didn’t trust her, but he could feel himself being twisted by her “I shouldn’t have trusted someone so God damn gorgeous” had he said that? Shit he had said that! But you didn’t say anything. You must hate him. In Celine’s eyes you were expendable. That’s why she chose you. She had no personal connection to her, and you were naïve. Beautifully naïve and wonderful. Naïve but not stupid. Abe could see the terror in your eyes, he would be standing directly outside that door. As the Seer closed the door, Abe murmured something to the Mayor, “if your sister hurts a single hair on MY partner’s head, god help you both…” Celine was yelling. Abe burst inside and took mental note of everything, Celine’s face red with rage and your gorgeous face white with fear. He got you out of there as quick as he could. What happened next was blur. Groundskeeper. Lightning. Damien. Celine. Blue. Red. Gone.

You had lost your best friend, the man that you had known for years, was gone. And Abe was powerless.

The next, and last time, he saw you was when the Colonel stormed towards him, gun pointed and eager to fire. You were standing behind the madman, desperately trying to stop the pair of them. The peacekeeper, the most innocent of all them. “Because you can’t handle the truth- BANG. PAIN. BLOOD. GUN. Somehow the Detective was able to stay awake long enough to see you trying to pull the gun away from the Colonel.

BANG. FALLING. DEATH. ANOTHER GONE.

Abe had had many partners over the years. He never forgot the last one. He remembered you screaming when you, his last partner died. He carried on. He had to. For your sake.

So, @the-real-bubblegum-bitch found my missing fic! Thank you so much!

Your mind was spinning. You still could hardly believe that you’d held a gun in your hand, let alone fired it at somebody. The gunshot still was echoing in your ears, though you weren’t sure if it was in your head or not. Your hands shook, and you barely heard what Mark was saying over the vanilla ice cream sitting in front of you.

“I still want to get to know you, so maybe we could go out again sometime?” You looked up at him, shaking yourself out of your trance. “You never know what kind of trouble we’ll get into next time,” he continued. “I mean, if you had to kill somebody this time, who knows what you’re gonna do next time. So…let’s give it a try, huh?” You said nothing, staring in his direction without really registering what you were seeing. Mark frowned slightly and cocked his head to the side. “Maybe?” he added hopefully. “I’m worth it…” But you were already getting to your feet, slowly walking away, your ice cream untouched behind you.

You don’t know how long you walked for. You had no particular direction in mind anyway, you were just…drifting down the sidewalk. You might have kept walking forever, if it wasn’t for Wilford.

You don’t know where he came from, all you knew was he was suddenly standing in front of you. The first thing that you noticed, other than the fact that he had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, was that his shoulders were shaking.

“W-wilford?” you stammered in surprise. “What-”

“How could you?” he asked, so quietly you almost didn’t hear him.

“I-what?”

“HOW COULD YOU?” he cried out, his voice booming around you. You realized then that his shoulders were shaking with sobs, and that there were tear stains on his cheeks.

Impulsively, you took a step back. You wanted to comfort him, but you weren’t sure quite what to do.

“What did I do, Wilford?” you asked carefully.

“You killed him! How could you kill him? He was only trying to help!”

Realization dawned on you, and your heart sunk into your stomach.

“He…he was going to kill me…” you stammered. “Or, or Mark, or-”

“No!” Wilford interrupted. “No, you’re wrong! He wouldn’t, he wouldn’t try to hurt you! I thought…I though you were different? I thought you understood??”

“I-I’m sorry!” you could feel tears welling in your eyes, and you tried to blink them away. “I was scared, one of them had a gun, and somehow it was in my hand, and I just…I didn’t even know who was who, and I…” The tears were falling from your eyes now. “Please, Will, I’m sorry.”

Wilford just shook his head, his own tears spilling over his eyelids.

“I trusted you,” he said, reaching up and clutching his hair. “I trusted you and now Dark…” His features twisted, from grief into some kind of sick smile. “Dark? Where are you, Dark? Come out now!”

Your eyes widened, and you couldn’t help putting a hand over your mouth in shock at the hauntingly familiarity of the scene before you.

“Dark? You can’t…you can’t leave me,” Wilford said, his voice shaking. “You promised! You promised you wouldn’t leave me…” He began wandering down the sidewalk, calling Dark’s name as he went.

“You promised me it would never hurt like this again.”

Welcome to Bear Inc.! These are the main 7 OCs of the Bear Inc. universe, known together as The Bears. (There's many other characters, but these are the main ones.) Initially, they were all created to represent specific personality traits (very original, I know) and were just In My Head, but now they’re just kinda.. regular folks. 

(More info about them under the cut)

Ted E. Baer is a chill, average dude representative of overall positive emotions. He works for the local package delivery, biking around the city to get folks their mail. Likes Video games, hamburgers, and Synthwave music.

Damien L. Reaper is a smooth and charming creature of the shadows, able to morph in and out of the darkness with ease. He’s representative of more negative emotions, like the voice in the back of your head. He works as an Afterlife Agent at Bear Inc., concerned with the manner of souls and their retrieval. (More info on that later.) Likes having control, iced tea, and Jazz music.

Barry Barnes is a big ol’ softie that’s often down on his luck. A hopeless romantic, Barry’s representative of romantic and depressive feelings. When he’s not bundled up in something comfy and feeling down, he works as a digital artist. Likes sleep, comfy clothes, and Lofi music.

Kevin T. Stamper is a chaotic being from The Beyond, having cartoonish properties and being made up of a black goo-like substance. Due to this, he’s able to shapeshift into nearly any form he wants, although some key giveaways include his black-and-white color scheme and a pair of bear ears being present. He’s representative of the more strange but fun emotions, often causing mischief and having fun. Kevin’s the keeper of The Void, a sub-dimension of The Beyond that exists outside of natural time and space and acts as a temporal dumping ground. (More info on that later as well.) Likes rubberhose cartoons, open spaces, and Electro Swing music (although The Void consumes all.)

Stephen R. Jarvis is a relatively plain and simple man, but he has a knack for being able to perform any voice or sound possible. He’s representative of one’s internal monologue and reading voice. Having such talent, there was really only two possible career options for Stephen; Voice acting, or Identity theft. Stephen chose the former. Likes peace and quiet, vocal exercises, and Classical music. (but he’s open to just about anything.)

Bruce G. Ashton has some serious anger issues, often getting agitated over the most minor inconvenience. Naturally, he’s representative of anger. Bruce takes up boxing practice or exerting himself at his job to blow off some steam, though the latter can sometimes cause his anger to worsen. If provoked enough, he goes into a blind fury, seeming less explosive but much more dangerous. He works as a freelance mechanic, often taking in broken down vehicles as a hobby. Likes physical exertion, video games (though he’s broken several controllers), and Metal and Rock music.

Akuma is another creature from The Beyond, but unlike Kevin, he is a being of pure torment and misery. He is the embodiment of guilt, impulsive decisions, and paranoia. In his main form, he is only identifiable as a silhouette, the only recognizable features from a distance being his stark white eyes and all-too-wide grin. His body is wet to the touch; almost gooey, but still solid. Similar to Kevin, Akuma is also somewhat of a shapeshifter, being able to shift into a sort of “lure” form. This form is more identifiable, it's prominent features including a significantly shorter height, (roughly 4'11") beady black eyes, and an inviting, almost eerie smile. His name is a play on the japanese words Akumu, meaning Nightmare, and Kuma, meaning Bear. Likes causing pain, being in the dark, and soothing-but-creepy music.

Partner Part 4: Remember Me

Remember. Verb (without use of object) Definition 1: to possess or exercise the faculty of memory. Definition 2: to have recollection (sometimes followed by of).

“Mark who is this?” You had no idea who this man was. He dressed like a detective from those old mystery movies. His brown eyes looked broken, like he had suffered a thousand times over and was still being tortured for something that wasn’t his fault. He looked so familiar… but you couldn’t place where you had seen him before.

There were tears welling up in the man’s eyes now. He looked like he was about to break “Partner… it’s me, come on you remember your old pal Abe…” his voice wavered. “I’m sorry… I don’t think we’ve met before” for some reason your voice choked up when you spoke those words, it felt like your heart was breaking over a man you didn’t know. “P-please Y/N this isn’t f-funny anymore… it’s n-not a j-joke…” he has crying now.

It hurt seeing this stranger cry. It was a sharp pain. Like you had just been shot. He fell to his knees, sobbing at your feet “I need you partner” that’s all you heard between his sobs. Mark gently took you by the shoulders and ushered you back into the van with Chica. As he closed the door you felt tears running down your face. You felt like you had been shot.

You didn’t speak for the rest of the day. All the joy and all the excitement was gone. You felt like you had been shot. No matter what Mark said or did, no smile graved your lips. “Hey Mark, who was that man?” He was quiet. But he eventually sighed and answered “Abe Lincoln.” “But who was he, why did he know me?” “It’s a long story… one I don’t want to talk about” and that’s all he said about the matter.

That very afternoon, a sharp pain shot through your brain, and no amount of pain medicine made it go away. What was stranger was the pain seemed to be coming from your lower stomach and neck as well. You didn’t know why and when you told Mark about it, he refused to look you in the eye. He looked guilty, like he was responsible for the pain. You closed your eyes in an attempt to dull the pain. But now you heard a constant ringing, you slipped away into a strange dream. Mark was there… you noted other faces. A man with a big bushy moustache and funny glasses, a man that looked like Mark’s friend Tyler, a angry looking chef, a woman, a man with a cane and a ribbon that said “Mayor”  two funny looking news reporter who kept falling over and… Abe. The sight of the moustached man made you sad. Sad but forgiving. The woman made you feel angry. The “Mayor” filled you with such sadness, but anger at the same time. Like he had done something to you, and whilst you were angry at him… you still cared about him.

And… Abe? Was that his name? He made you feel warm and safe. Like light had exploded everywhere. Then you were falling into darkness. The Colonel, Wil, had shot you. You had been shot. You died trying to protect Abe.

He needed you.

It all came rushing back so suddenly. Who you were. Y/N L/N. District Attorney. Who those people were. Mark, The Butler, The Chef, The Jim twins, Celine… Damien… Abe.

Why did you forget them? Your best friend, your new friend, your partner? Because you needed to get out of that mirror. You had sacrificed your memories just for freedom?! No… you did it to find the Detective…

You woke up with the pain gone but more tears pouring down your face. You climbed out the van and ran. Ignoring Mark’s cries for you to stop. Eventually you came across a hauntingly familiar house. Markiplier Manor. You don’t know why you had come back here… but it felt right… like if you came back here, you would wake up with a hangover and it would all have been a nightmare… everyone would be alive and happy. Wil wouldn’t be insane, Damien wouldn’t have been destroyed, you wouldn’t have been killed and Abe wouldn’t have been broken.

You fought your way through the crazy vegetation, George must have left or died because the grounds weren’t very well kept anymore. You gently opened the door, remembering that this was where you had met Wil, The Colonel. The man who meant well but was dangerous. You were inside the manor and you noticed that the heavy atmosphere wasn’t there anymore. Of course it wasn’t. The Entity had left with Damien and Celine inside your old body. You walked past a dusty, cracked mirror, only glancing at your old prison.

You hoped you could remember where it was. You pushed a door open and found Abe’s evidence room. Everything was like you remembered. Abe had plastered sticky notes everywhere. Some with serious notes like “Don’t trust the seer”… you wished you had known that then. And then where silly notes like “if a dog committed murder would it still go to heaven?” That one made you laugh sadly. You pulled the photographs of The Colonel, Dear Old Damien, and the intrepid Detective Abe off the wall. And you fell to the floor. Clutching the pictures of your dear friends to your chest. Hoping that if you cried enough Damien would hear you and come see what was wrong, Wil would randomly appear and try to make you laugh… and Abe would awkwardly stand by the door, telling you to stop crying over the evidence, your tears would render it useless.

But that wouldn’t happen. You remembered but only Abe still cared.

You don’t know how you ended up there, but you cried yourself to sleep underneath the mirror, still clutching onto those pictures for dear life.
