Tea and Some Sympathy (oneshot)
Harry had woken up feeling heavy and warm. It was darker now outside from when they’d fallen asleep, and his head ached from having napped for too long. He peered down to the fan of hair on his shoulder, and traced Draco’s eyelashes gently with a finger. His peaceful expression was a far cry from how he’d look a few hours earlier, face blotted red and a now-healed bruise painted along his right eyebrow.
The arm on top of his chest stirred, and Harry shushed it back down with a few gentle pats. He eased out of Draco’s hold as gentle as he could, fluffing up the blankets around his ears despite the heating charms simmering in the room.
Sirius gave him a look when he entered the kitchen, eyeing his rumpled shirt and crooked glasses. The sounds of guitar and a lilting voice drifted softly out of a record player balanced precariously on a mountain of books on the counter. Sirius set his newspaper down and leaned back on the counter, and a steaming mug floated over to Harry to sit on the table.
“Sleep well?”
“Yeah,” Harry said, slowly adding milk and sugar to the cup of tea. “Are you—?”
“I’m not angry, if that’s what you’re asking, Harry.” And then he added “Upset, maybe. But not angry.”
Harry huffed in relief, blowing the steam off the top of his mug. “He’s gotten nicer this year, to Hermione and Ron too..” he trailed off, not quite certain how to put into words the long conversations and fleeting glances he’d had with Draco Malfoy throughout the first term of fifth year. “Something happened, that changed him, I’m not sure what though.”
"I can't say that I don't understand him, I was a right little swot before your dad beat the sense into me."
"Really?" Harry gaped, highly unfamiliar with the vision of his godfather being a swot.
"Yup, thought muggles were monstrous creatures with large teeth that would eat me if I got too close."
"That's absurd!" Harry laughed into his tea.
"And then your dad told me the truth and your mum socked me in the nose second year for asking her if muggles still ate their young." Harry laughed harder, proud of his mum and delightfully surprised at how much the situation resembled the punch Hermione gave Malfoy in third year.
"She really did that?" The soft padding of socked feet sounded behind Harry, and he turned his head to face Draco's sweater clad chest.
"Sure, sure, didn't let it go for the next five years either." Sirius wordlessly handed Draco a mug as well, who accepted it with a small nod as he sat beside Harry. "Sleep well, lad?"
"Very well, thank you." Draco muttered. Harry was proud of him, that was probably the second time in their odd friendship that he'd heard the Slytherin thank someone for something. Draco paused, brows furrowing as he stared at the record player. "Is that-- T.Rex?" He asked. Sirius barked a laugh.
"You have good taste, kid."
"How do you know muggle music?" Harry pondered. Draco shrugged wordlessly, hands still in his lap.
"I found a record under my bed in September, it was um--" He looked at Sirius cautiously, "it was this album called Eclectic Warrior."
"That's Electric Warrior, love, not eclectic." Sirius corrected. Draco elbowed Harry harshly when he snorted, an embarrassed flush dotting high on his cheeks. "A great album, though! Marvelous that you found one in good condition. I used to have a copy, of course I lost it during school and never saw it again, one of my first heartbreaks!" Harry glanced over at Draco and rolled his eyes knowingly at Sirius' dramatics. Under the table their hands linked gently.
It wouldn't take terribly long for Draco to realize what the initials R.A.B scribbled on the back of his album stood for. The album Regulus had sniped from Sirius in 1975 now shoved among the few prized possessions in Draco's hastily packed suitcase.

Ok here's some silly short questions that are really just fluff.
What is the archangels favorite colors? (Including V1/V2 and your self if you'd like to say!)
Whats said Charaters favorite types of music? And/or their favorite songs?
Is there any random small hobbies any of them enjoy?
the archangels' favorite colors are the ones that represent them!! gabriel's is blue, michael's is purple, raphael's is green, and uriel's is orange :] v1 loves radioactive colors, with i think its favorite being either hazard yellow or electric blue lol v2 i think is really into jewel tones, and probably would say ruby is its favorite (and my favorite color is pink/magenta!!)
they all like a wide variety of music for the most part as angels and computers both love to sing, but specifically i think of gabriel enjoying rock and classical, michael is pretty strictly choir/hymnal (though i think he could evolve into liking blues/soul), raphael likes pop and folk/traditional, and uriel vibes a lot with soundscapes, lo-fi/ambient, and jazz. since i share the headcanon that v1 is the game's "composer" it of course likes breakcore, but anything fast and heavy suits it well like industrial and noise. v2 is probably the most eclectic in its tastes, but i like the idea that it really enjoys soundtracks and the nostalgia of chillwave/dreamwave
and honestly they're all quite new to having hobbies given how they were made for nothing beyond their jobs. gabriel has starting learning to write music from v1 (angels aren't good at creating like humans are, but he's enjoying it all the same) and i KNOW it doesn't make sense in context but gabriel is canonically the patron saint of stamp collectors SO......he's got a book lol michael is probably the worst at getting hobbies being so wrapped up in his job, but he has gotten into gardening, starting with himself (soon, like gabe and v1, v2 starts assisting him in exploring some more creativity) raphael sews, knits, crochets, ALL of it!! plus i think he learns how to cook with gabriel because he's always loved trying new foods. uriel's obviously a reader and into journaling now, and i like to think he and michael take up meditating together to reduce their anxiety lol v1 enjoys collecting things like a little magpie and like i mentioned before, loves generating liminal images (largely pools) and impossible animals (forerunner to its creature creation) also. plays pikmin. is very bad at pikmin and its pikmin die a lot but that's its favorite game. finally v2 is all about curiosity, it loves learning, exploring, and building hardware (though any creating with its hands is good for it) it also really enjoys human media, like games and movies, which it introduces to gabriel and v1 (gave it pikmin), as well as mike eventually

Reading by Dragon-Light
Tumblr media
Also known as “Mundane Utility”.
When adopting his human form, The Storm Incarnate goes by the name of “Colress”.
His disguise is mostly flawless, save for two unique tells: his habit of attracting Electric-Type Pokémon in droves, and the distinctive blue markings on his skin that glow whenever he channels electricity.
Being a storm dragon, the presence of Joltik do not bother him; the electricity they drain from him is minimal, to the point where it would likely take thousands of them draining him all at once for him to even notice a dent in his energy.
His appetite for knowledge is insatiable, and he found himself striking up a friendship with Rosa, who also frequents libraries. His taste in books is eclectic to the point where he readily devours whatever tome he can get his hands on. Currently, he seems to be particularly curious about romance - and consequently baffled by the less than stellar behaviour of many “love interests”.
Rosa diligently researches myths and legends about dragons in the hopes of learning more about her mysterious saviour, who rescued her from a sudden, unusually aggressive storm that left her orphaned. Her research indicates it was likely the handiwork of a young storm dragon, so she instead researches who - or what - could have saved her that day.
Her relationship with Colress is a familial one; although they are not related by blood, she has come to see him as a replacement for the parents she has lost. Colress, in turn, regards her as a beloved daughter. They often read books late at night together, the pages illuminated by the electricity Colress expertly commands.
Aware of Colress’ true nature, and with the knowledge that her rescuer was both unbothered by the violent storm and possessed distinctive blue markings upon their skin, she can’t help but wonder. . .
Colress’ markings need a few tweaks, but I'm very proud of this!

In honor of our first group arriving into Albion this week (and October, our spooky season), we’re going to be sharing some of our favorite skeletons that we’d still love to see! Interested in joining us? We hope so!
THE YEAR IS 1923. Welcome to Albion, a small-town, magical roleplay game based in a fictional valley in rural New England. Nestled between two mountain ridges, Albion is home to a cozy, eclectic, and ultimately slightly spooky community, intentionally isolated from the outside world.
MEET THE EXPLORER
HIS GIFT Able to explore liminal spaces, the Explorer not only walks the trails of the valley, but can project himself into the astral plane. He appears in dreams and can see talismans of the celestial as he travels the earth. It is important, though, to know how to return. For each trip to the astral plane he takes, he must plan for how to come back. (Note: this ability will require dice rolls!) IN BRIEF From the high ridge of the mountain to the fallow orchard fields to the rich pages of a beloved book, the Explorer is a wanderer. A dreamer. True only to their whim, he walks the new-spring fields and traverse the pines in the midst of the winter chill. It is how he has always been, lost in nature, lost in his thoughts. Lost between the planes. Hedge magic is a unique skill. It requires an unshakeable core of self-understanding to leap between our world and the next. To step onto the astral plane. To see beyond the veil. The Explorer took such a journey -- first, with trepidation. Later, with ease. Time skipped once, upon a return. He fell on the side of a different hedge. The Explorer awoke in a new place, louder and stranger than the valley he called home -- and without compass, without knowing how to return, the Explorer had no other choice: he had to go farther. Farther into the world, into cities and cinemas, into forests and saltwater beaches. He tasted the rich bite of overripe strawberries, flew through the air on a mechanical wheel, fell asleep beneath the moon, the stars, electric lights. The world is wide and made for wanderers, lead only by the wind, and the pull upon his heart. It did not happen suddenly, nor all at once: it became clear, like fog lifting off of the trees. The pull changed. Where before, opportunity flooded out from him like strands of crimson thread, they wound together in a rope, pulling him forward. As his steps drove him into pine forest, as the mist shrouded his head, the Explorer looked up and knew: the valley was calling him home. MYSTERIOUS PAST After he disappeared from the valley, the Explorer was discovered by someone in his family. Who was it, and why did he not let them help him return?

Image 2 - I colored a page in a coloring book featuring koi fishes swimming around lily pads with red flowers. I used vibrant colors like orange, blue, green, red, and yellow. It turned out really eye-catching and lively. I love how the colors bring the scene to life and create a sense of movement. It's a great example of how color can convey mood and atmosphere in graphic design.
Image 3 - The poster of Gorillaz' "Demon Days" cover is a striking example of graphic design. The use of predominantly dark colors, like black, gray, and deep red, creates a moody and atmospheric tone. The contrast between the dark background and the vibrant yellow eyes of the character in the center adds intrigue and draws the viewer's attention. This design effectively utilizes color to convey the album's theme and aesthetic, demonstrating the power of color in evoking emotions and setting the tone in graphic design.
Image 4 - The Spiderman poster, predominantly red, encapsulates the iconic character's essence. The bold red color symbolizes energy, action, and strength, perfectly aligning with Spiderman's adventurous persona. The simplicity of the color scheme, with red dominating the composition, emphasizes the hero's dynamic movement as he swings through the city. This use of color effectively captures the essence of the character and creates a visually striking poster that instantly grabs attention.
Image 5 - The use of a white pompom at the top of the hat and a blue balloon adds a delightful pop of color against the backdrop, likely bringing joy to the recipient. The choice of colors, white and blue, creates a cheerful and celebratory atmosphere, perfectly suited for a birthday card. This design showcases how even a simple color scheme can evoke happiness and convey the intended message effectively in graphic design.
Image 6 - Picture six features an eclectic collection of patches, each with its own distinct color scheme. The Totoro patch stands out with bright yellow letters against a green circle, capturing attention with its playful charm. The Pikachu patch likely boasts vibrant yellow and electric blue hues, evoking the iconic Pokémon character's energy. The smiling green cactus patch likely features shades of green, conveying a sense of whimsy and warmth. The Rolling Stones patch with the famous tongue sticking out is likely dominated by bold red against a black background, exuding a rebellious and edgy vibe. Lastly, the bee patch outlined in yellow against a black background likely creates a striking contrast, making it visually arresting. Overall, this collection demonstrates the diverse use of color in graphic design, each patch adding its own unique flair to the ensemble.
Image 7 - The next picture I have is of the two Jojo books from the Diamond is Unbreakable series, Part 4, books 2 and 3. The covers are probably super vibrant and eye-catching, typical of manga graphic novels. I bet they're filled with bold colors, intricate illustrations, and cool typography. Part 4 of the series is known for its diverse characters and settings, so I'm expecting a wide range of colors and dynamic compositions. I can't wait to dive into these books and immerse myself in the thrilling world of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure!
Image 8 - The picture of the Swiffer dry sweeping cloths box likely features a clean and modern design, reflecting the product's function and target audience. The color scheme may include shades of blue and white, conveying a sense of cleanliness and freshness associated with household cleaning products. The use of simple and clear typography makes it easy for consumers to understand the product's purpose and benefits at a glance. Overall, the design of the box likely prioritizes functionality and clarity, aligning with the brand's image of efficiency and convenience in household cleaning.
