The Shrine, The Temple, Starbucks… and the Snow. The last day in Kyoto introduced us to a new element: The snow. It excited us at times. But the cold usually numbed our faces. It was a very exciting day throughout, nevertheless. Started by climbing up Fushimi Inari Taisha, and up to Kiyomizu-Dera. Took a break in a uniquely furnished Starbucks coffee at Ninenzaka. And ended the day walking along Shirakawa River, crossing the Tatsumi Bridge. 🌸 Lost in Kyoto ⛩️

Kyoto is one of my absolute favorite cities in the world because there is none other like it. Kyoto is the epitome of Japanese culture and the city has been pickled to be preserved by time. Today I return to Kyoto with the same awe that I first felt back in April 2012. But this time I already feel more connected with the city. I am so excited to once again get lost in Kyoto and revisit the old and discover new things in this city!

Btw Kansai has some of the best golden hours ever. Today’s sunset in Kyoto was quite majestic. Hope to see more like them while I’m still in Kyoto!

"Inari Ōkami(稲荷大神)" I created a little representation on 3D of the ancient Fushimi Inari Taisha. I'm grandly would like to visit it in person, i hope that i will in the future. Fushimi Inari is a sanctuary dedicated to the Inari spirit(稲荷), for the Shintoism inari is the goddess of the rice, fertility and businesses. Before entering into the sanctuary you need to cross the torii(鳥居). The torii is a gate, the gateway to the sacred precinct of a Shinto shrine. Past the door, there are two foxes guarding the main hall, the name of this foxes it's Kitsune(狐), don't forget to bow before crossing. The road was built thanks to the merchants who donate his torii, the reason is to ask the Inari goddess for prosperity in their businesses.
