Tell Him (George O'Malley x Reader)
Summary: You’re dating George O’Malley. You tell him about a certain liking of yours, and although he’s initially confused, he tries to understand. (This is incredibly self-indulgent and the reader is essentially just me. If anyone actually reads this, it’ll be a miracle, lmfao. Mentions of sex and tickling as a kink, but overall this fic is more fluff than smut.)
“I can’t.”
George sighed, but he had an amused expression on his face. “Whatever you’re gonna tell me, I won’t freak out. You know that, right?”
You blushed, avoiding his eyes. “It’s embarrassing. It’s not bad, but it's embarrassing.”
He took your chin, making you meet his eye. “Well, I’m not gonna pressure you. Whenever you’re ready to tell me, I’ll listen.”
You couldn’t help but smile. “Alright. Go save some lives, Dr. O’Malley.”
He kissed you quickly before heading out, and you sighed, resting your head in your hands. It was silly, really, and you were getting him worked up over nothing. If only your embarrassment, your shame didn’t run so deep, if only you had the guts to spit out a simple confession.
And it was over something so stupid.
Cuddling in bed with George last night had been nice. He was warm, and groggy after a day of interning at the hospital, but present enough to rub your back sweetly, muttering sweet words. And then his fingers had strayed near your side, soft and it had startled you and made you twitch.
“You alright?” he asked.
You had nodded. “All good.”
And then, he’d done it again. By accident, still. And you had twitched again, a puff of air resembling a soft laugh leaving your nose.
“Oh, I’m sorry, am I tickling you?” he’d asked.
You chuckled nervously. “A little.”
“Sorry,” he said again.
“It’s fine.”
And that had been it. What you hadn’t said was that it was completely fine if he tickled you, and that it would be fine to continue, because you enjoyed it.
You just couldn’t spit that out. And George deserved to know, because he would clearly do anything in his power to make you happy, and yet, you were afraid that something as simple as a little tickling would be the thing to scare him off.
His shift was long. Long enough for you to think it over. To plan out everything you would want to say, to prepare for a worst-case scenario. It wouldn’t be so bad. George was sweet. He was an angel, honestly, and the chances of him reacting poorly were slim to none. But that fear still lingered. The fear of rejection, ridicule, or just plain old misunderstanding.
But George would understand. He had to.
So after a long, long shift, George was back in your bed. Warm, sleepy, and hopefully ready to listen to your words.
“You ready to tell me what you wanted to say this morning?” he asked.
“Yes. No. Maybe?” you replied. “It’s…I really need to stress to you that it’s not a big deal. It really isn’t, but I’m embarrassed and this is really hard for me to talk about.”
He pulled you close. “I’m here to listen. What’s going on?”
“So, last night…You were rubbing my back, and you…Well, you…”
“Is this about me tickling you?” he interrupted. “Because it was an accident, and I won’t do it—”
“No, no, that’s…I wanna tell you that it’s okay. That I…I liked it. I mean, I would like it if you did it…Intentionally, next time.”
George blinked at you, mouth opening and closing. “I’m sorry…You liked it?”
There it was. The twinge of judgement in his voice. It made you deflate, cheeks turning red.
He sensed the shift in your attitude and immediately shook his head. “No, no, it’s not a bad thing. I’m just…Surprised, that’s all! Because, well, my brothers used to tickle me all the time and I always hated it. I mean, they were rough, and it hurt, and they used to make me cry…So, I mean, the idea of someone liking it is just sort of weird to me. Not weird in a bad way, God, that came out wrong…Weird as in uncommon—”
“No, it’s okay, I get it,” you said. “I’m sorry your brothers did that to you. But, it’s just…I’ve always liked it, and I can’t help it, it’s just wired into my brain for some reason, and it’s embarrassing and I’ve had partners react badly to it in the past, so if you’re weirded out, it’s fine, I just…I wanted to tell you because it makes me happy, and you make me happy.”
George smiled. “Okay. If you like it, that’s fine. I can…I can do it, more, if that makes you happy. Is it…Is it like, a sex thing or a cuddly thing?”
You gave another nervous laugh. “Both? It’s not inherently sexual, but it can be hot. We can talk about the sex part later, though. This is all too embarrassing for me.”
George laughed, too. “Don’t be embarrassed, it’s fine,” he said, kissing your temple. “We can talk about it another time.”
You assumed that was the end of the conversation, but his hands found your sides and squeezed, making you squeal.
“So, you like this?” he asked. “Or do you like it better…here?” His hands moved upwards towards your ribs, his fingers prodding into the spaces between your bones with his surgical precision. It only made you giggle harder, feet kicking.
“You’re giggling too hard to answer me, baby,” he cooed.
“Shut up,” you whined. “You’re being mean!”
“How am I being mean? I’m doing what you asked! I think that’s pretty nice of me, actually.”
You had nothing to say in response, just laughing. You were so happy. So loved.
That night, you fell asleep wrapped in George’s arms, the phantom sensation of his tickly fingers still on your abdomen.
***
“Tickling you is really fun,” George said. “I mean, it’s cute. You smile and you laugh and it’s adorable, and I know it makes you happy.”
You flushed, biting your lip. “But…?”
“No, no but. Well, maybe? I think…If you did it to me, I don’t know if I would hate it or not, but…I know you’ve mentioned that you like it either way…If you wanted to try, I mean, I’d be open to it.”
He was blushing, too. How fucking cute could he be?
“Really?” you asked. “I mean, if you’re open to it, I would love to try. Only if you’re sure, though. I know your brothers were pretty harsh, so I don’t wanna push.”
“No, I’m…I want you to try it. You always look like you’re having so much fun. And, it might take my mind off of the three surgeries I scrubbed in on today.”
You grinned. “It is a pretty good distraction.”
He laid back against the mattress, looking up at you with those doe eyes. You grinned, sitting up beside his body and using one hand to stroke his hair. “Where should I start, hm?”
George squirmed. “Well, when I was younger, my stomach was really bad. And, and my sides. But I’m pretty much ticklish everywhere, as you’ve discovered during other activities, which, if I had known you liked it, I wouldn’t have apologized so many times when I laughed—”
You interrupted his rambling by using one hand to lightly tickle his stomach, feeling his muscles jump beneath your fingertips, listening to the loud, squeaky laugh that burst from his lips.
“Still bad?” you asked.
“Still ticklish, but it doesn’t suck,” he giggled in response. He was clearly fighting to keep still, his hands balled into fists at his sides.
You grinned. “You’re so cute.”
“I’m not cute,” he cried. “I’m a strong, masculine—Ah!”
His laughter took on a new octave as you introduced your other hand to his belly.
“Too much?”
He shook his head. Then, after another minute, he shook it again. “Wait, no, actually, too much!”
You stopped immediately. “Are you okay?”
George wrapped his arms around his middle, protecting his middle although your onslaught had already stopped. “I’m fine, I’m fine, it’s just…still a lot.”
“No worries. I know, it can be really overwhelming sometimes.”
He smiled. “A little. But I didn’t hate it,” he said. “We can try it again, another time.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, of course. For now, cuddle me.”
And, well, how could you say no to that?

❛ 𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆 𝑶'𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏 ❜
𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜: George O'Malley x reader ♡
Requested? Yes, by @annie-bby !
𝘼/𝙣: Hey, I hope you'll like this too! :)
Tumblr media
After a few days of meeting you, he immediately asked you out. You never expected it, but it made you very happy. At first you thought it was some kind of thank you after standing up for him and getting angry at others for him always being teased. Why did they do it? It didn't make sense. Since then he has never stopped being on you, and you realized that this guy would never bear to lose you.
He was a boy with a heart of gold, it was hard not to get attached. In the morning he always brought you coffee and croissants, your favorites, and when you were having a shitty day he helped you make it a little less shitty.
The nights when you enjoyed dancing at Meredith's house drunk were the best, but especially the one when he finally decided to kiss you. It was a little weird, well you were all definitely drunk, but it happened... unexpectedly. You went to get some chips and when you came back you found him in front of you. "You're so beautiful Y/n" he gave you a little kiss leaving you standing there and went back to dancing.
Since then, things have definitely gotten more serious between you. So at first he was a little embarrassed after remembering what had happened, but knowing him you knew it would take time and the wait was worth it. You didn't think being George O'Malley's girlfriend could be so good. He treated you like a queen, there was no better thing in the world.
One evening you were waiting for him at home, you couldn't wait for him to come back, you had prepared something to eat for the first time in your life, and you had planned all night. Unfortunately when he came back he didn't look very happy. He sprawled out on the sofa and vented to the world. Well, all your plans had failed, and at one point you couldn't stand him talking anymore, so you jumped on him. "Take me upstairs and let off steam all you want with me"
He knew how to treat you very well even sexually, and in front of others he managed to hold back
Nobody tolerates when you fight. Sometimes, however, it can be fun, because you both act like two children, and you always include everyone to try to be right. Oh, this can go on for days.
You like making him angry, you seem to enjoy it, and in the end you always know how to make him happy again. His character is what you love about him, he's not stupid like others say, he simply has his own way of doing that maybe only you understand. Seeing you happy is his favorite thing. There is nothing that makes him calmer and more proud of your happiness.
Jealousy doesn't exist in your relationship. It's amazing, you know. And everyone envies you for it. He only has eyes for you and you do the same
There is no better place than to be in his arms. There is a moment of the day dedicated to this on purpose! He loves to hold you in his arms while he showers you with kisses and tells you thousands of times that he loves you. At that moment there is nothing else you two appear. Then the others arrive and ruin the whole atmosphere...

One More Chance (At Love) (Pt.1/?)
Slowburn Mark Sloan x Reader x George O'Malley
TW/CW: Mentions of medical terms and just overall Grey's anatomy gore, social anxiety/ anxiousness, Christina being passive-aggressive to the reader of you squint, Love triangle, jump cuts
Disclaimer/Summary:
‼️ SEASON 2 SPOILERS!! ‼️
AJ's a new intern at Seattle Grace Hospital and the niece of Miranda Bailey. She has an average reputation and never heard of 'McSteamy' a.k.a Mark Sloan upon moving to Seattle and working at Seattle Grace. Not understanding the hype around him nor falling for his charm, he ends up falling first and hard because he thinks she's "hard to get". He tries his best to flirt with her but to no avail, because she never picks up on any of those social cues to realize that he has been flirting with her the entire time because of her being neurodivergent (specifically AuDHD). Besides Mark, there's also someone else who has been eyeing AJ since they met.
Ps: This is mostly a self-insert but you can still read and enjoy this!! It's been a while since I've made a fic and I think it's time for a fresh start :). This takes place in mid-season 2 (specifically episode 9, a month before the Thanksgiving part of the episode starts then jumpcuts to the events of the Thanksgiving episode) to around the end of season 3. There are a lot of jump cuts in this fic and rhe reader is black

Seattle Grace Hospital. A hospital filled with opportunities and so much drama that it could be a full-course meal. That is, of course, if you're interested in having surgeries and nonstop sleepless nights on the menu. If so, then sign me up. Having the opportunity to work in the same hospital as my Aunt was a blessing and a curse. She knew that I was studying to become a surgeon, but what she didn't know was that I would be working in the same hospital as her. The other interns around me called her 'The Nazi' but I simply called her Auntie Mandy.
No one knew that she was my aunt so they had no room to treat me differently because of my association with her. I deserved to be in that surgical program just as much as they did. I worked my ass off to become a well-respected doctor, not a punching bag for bottomless insults. So, my strategy to survive the internship came in 3 easy rules. A guide that I follow every day.
1. Befriend the Nurses.
This step was relatively easy. I'm always kind to everyone I meet unless they give me a reason to be mean. Plus, I would hate to get stuck on doing rectal exams or sutures for hours on end just because I pissed a nurse off. They're human beings just like me and deserve equal respect because it took them years of med school to get to where they are.
2. Keep to myself and only speak when spoken to (a.k.a practically become invisible to almost everyone unless I'm given instructions to complete a task.)
Now, this step is a relatively difficult one to follow. I have no clue who I will encounter upon being on Auntie Mandy's service and they would make my experience at SG unpredictable. I won't let them get to know me upon surface-level things about me. It's too risky for them to find out even the smallest incriminating detail about me. I'll just have to wait for the right moment to tell anyone that Bailey is my Aunt.
And lastly, my most hated rule.
3. NEVER unmask, unless necessary.
Masking in itself is extremely difficult. If I show any sign of my neurodivergence to neurotypicals who don't understand what it's like to hide parts of yourself every day 24/7, I'm looking at weeks of being a laughing stock and judged by everyone. Even though this is a possibility, the road to being a surgeon is never easy for anyone.
So, with that being said you would say that I have 3 impossible rules to follow. I would have to try my absolute hardest to not expose myself but also to be on top of my game in this program if I want to make it in the real surgical world.
-------
My alarm rings at the ripe time of 5 am. I had to be at the hospital by 7:00 am before 7:30 am rounds started and before I could officially be assigned to my resident. I knew before today that I was going to be assigned to Auntie Mandy because of the letter in the mail a few weeks ago declaring my official internship and transfer to Seattle Grace. As well as what day I would start working. Transferring hospitals is like transferring schools, you have to start all over again in a new place. New environment. With completely new people. People who are already used to each other and probably friends with each other. Whereas I'm the new kid, the outcast. The kid that sits alone during lunch while everyone has already created their cliques.
I took a few deep breaths before getting out of bed to stop myself from becoming anxious at the thought of all the wrong outcomes that could happen. I made sure to pack comfort snacks the night before and an emergency meltdown/overstimulation bag that consisted of earplugs, a few small but effective fidget toys, compactable noise-canceling headphones, and an mp3 player that has my comfort songs on speed dial. I made my bed, as I usually do to start my morning. Following up on that, I meditated and did yoga for an hour and a half. It's a way to calm and ground myself before I tackle whatever the day brings me.
I did my morning routine and skin care before heading back to my room, to change into my outfit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By this time it was already 6:40 am. I had enough time to spare to moisturize my locs and bring a scrunchie with me so that I could put my hair up when needed at work. I made sure to grab my messenger bag and my snacks for the long shift and promptly left my apartment at 6:50 am. The drive to work was roughly 15 minutes but ended up being 20 minutes with traffic. I didn't live far away from the hospital, which was alright in my opinion. I arrived there at 7:05 am and began to park. After I parked and got out of the car, a motorcyclist drove up loud and parked 2 spots away from me.
Right in the middle of my car and the motorcycle came another car with 2 women and a guy who I'd assume knew the female motorcyclist because the group of 4 joined each other and I began walking into the building behind them. Mid-walk, another guy joins the group after what I'd assume was his morning jog. He was huffing and saying something I couldn't make out because of me keeping my distance from them so that they wouldn't assume that I was following them even though I was. I had no freaking clue on where anything in this ginormous hospital was. Sure I had a tour of the hospital but it's so easy to forget the layout when I've only been in it once.
While we waited for the elevator I quietly said, "Excuse me," as I tapped the shoulder of a brown-haired guy with cute doe eyes. He stopped talking with the blonde-haired woman and turned to face me. "I'm sorry, but could you help direct me to the surgical locker room? I'm not entirely sure where it is." As I was speaking the rest of the group turned to look at me, which was not intimidating in any way. (Yes it was.) "Yeah sure, We're actually on our way there." says the doe-eyed guy. "I'm George O'Malley by the way, that's Izzie Stevens, Alex Karev, Meredith Grey, and Christina Yang. We're all surgical interns." George introduced the names to the faces of everyone and I hoped for the best that I could remember their names.
"Oh, I'm AJ. AJ Brown. I'm also an intern here. It's my first day." I spoke. "What! That's cool, we could show you around sometime!" Izzie said as the elevator dinged. I nodded and followed their lead and got on the elevator with them, standing near the back of it. I listened as they talked about how their mornings went. The elevator stopped at the second floor. After making a few turns into the corridors, we finally made it to the locker room.
"What's your locker number?" Meredith asked as she began to walk to her locker. "Uh, it's G - 23," I responded as I looked around at my surroundings. Everyone was already getting changed. "Oh, nice you have a locker next to me!" Izzie smiled. The digital clock on the wall read 7:15 am, there was enough time to change into my scrubs and have my pager and stethoscope ready. As I was putting my shoes on Meredith spoke to me, "So, AJ, where are you from?" She asked as she closed her locker door. "Oh, I'm from a small town in Illinois," I answered. "What's a city girl like you doing all the way here in rainy ol' Seattle? Besides to work here?" Alex chimed in, "Family, stuff." I spoke shortly, in hopes of ending the conversation.
"That's nice that you can be near family here. Also, who's service are you on?" Izzie asked. "I have Dr. Bailey," I spoke as I stood up while closing my locker. "Awesome, she has the Nazi too." Christina deadpanned as they all began to finish up. "Christina, be nice!" Meredith nudged Christina's arm and tried her best to whisper that to her but failed. "We can show you where she is today." The group leaves the locker room and I trail behind them to find my Aunt.
We head to the elevator and we make it to the third floor, where we come to a spacious waiting area and a front desk that I'd assume contained charts and other important patient information. Among the crowd of people walking around stood Auntie Mandy, writing in a chart binder at the front desk. "Good morning Dr. Bailey." They all said one by one, before George spoke, "I think we have a new intern with us that's on your service." That sparked her to look up from the chart. "New intern? What new intern?" She said almost with an attitude. They all miraculously parted like the Red Sea to reveal my presence to her.
"Well, I'll be damned! If it isn't AJ!" Bailey replied with a smile before running up to hug me, which shocked the group as if they had never seen her act sweet towards anyone. She released me from her grasp and said, "I had no idea they were assigning you to my service! How's your mom? I know everyone must miss me back there in Illinois." Bailey chirped. I hesitated and replied shortly, "Everyone's fine and they do." I laughed awkwardly. "Wait? How do you know Dr. Bailey and how does she know you?" Christina asked, answering the burning question that was floating around in everyone's head.
"She's-" Before Dr. Bailey could finish her sentence our pagers went off. Talk about being saved by the bell. Or beep in this case. I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding in as we all began to follow Bailey's orders on where to be assigned. George ended up being the one to be my guide for the day as I helped him with patients and got used to doing checkups and filling out charts for a few hours. After that, Bailey assigned George to teach me how to run labs and work on sutures in the pit, as well as prescribing actual medicine to the patients. Before I knew it, it was lunchtime.
"Hey, would you like to have lunch with me? I'm usually with everyone because we all eat together sometimes." George asked softly as we headed to the cafeteria I assumed. "Uh, sure." I agreed. I brought a simple lunch with me, a turkey sandwich, apple slices, and carrots. While George offered to buy me apple juice. As I began to sit down next to George, Christina let out a loud groan and said lowly to herself, "Why did George invite someone we barely know to lunch, it's like she's his pet or something." This time Merideth kicked Christina's leg under the table, which caused her to verbally say 'ow' in response.
Upon hearing that comment, before I could start eating I got up and excused myself by saying, "I think left my pager in my locker. I'm gonna go get it." I grabbed all of my things and left immediately, what did I expect from a bunch of strangers? I found an empty hallway with abandoned beds and I ate in silence.
George's POV
AJ grabbed her things and speed walked away. Christina scoffed and spoke, "Looks like she ran off to go find her mommy, Dr. Bailey," Everyone let out laughs at Christina's 'joke' if you even call it that. "Enough!" I yelled as I slammed my hands on the table, "She has been nothing but nice to you guys and this is how you treat her on her first day? People deserve chances and you guys never even gave her that option to one." I grabbed the rest of my lunch and stormed off in hopes of finding AJ, before hearing out what everyone was going to say to my brief speech.
AJ's POV
I was almost done eating my lunch when I heard a familiar voice say, "There you are! I've been looking all over for you!" It was George. What a relief. "You have?" I said as I finished the last of my apple slices before I threw away the remaining trash. "Look, I'm sorry that they were mean to you, they don't like new people coming into their space." George apologized before he sat somewhat next to me. "You don't have to apologize for them George, it's not your place to apologize for them." I feigned a smile to try to reassure him.
"Sometimes they make fun of me too. And I wonder if they're my friends or if I'm convincing myself that they are," George confessed. "Well, can you be yourself when you're around them?" I questioned. George didn't answer. "If you have to think about it for a long time then maybe you should reconsider if they are your friends. Real friends don't make fun of you for being you. They appreciate your uniqueness and don't judge you." I declared. "It seems like you're a friend expert." I laughed a little at his comment. "I've had a lot of friends but never kept any of them so I know what it's like." I spoke truthfully, "Thanks for the lunch, George." I thanked him before I walked away once again.
-----
By that evening, my hands and feet were tired from walking and constantly talking to all the people. I desperately needed time to recharge my social battery because I could feel myself starting to get overstimulated. The lights were starting to get too bright and the bustling noise could make anyone go insane. I had a few minutes to myself in the on-call room so I spent it playing with my Tangle fidget toy and listening to a playlist of my favorite Michael Jackson songs in the dark while lying down on one of the beds on the bottom bunk. Needless to say, I ended up falling asleep for a good hour before I faintly heard the door open.
"AJ, wake up, Dr. Bailey needed me to find you," George said as he tapped my shoulder in an attempt to wake me. I groaned before sitting up on my elbows and glaring at him for waking me up, "I'm sorry to wake you but she needs more hands in the pit." He confessed which caused me to roll my eyes. I nodded before shoving my MP3 player and fidget toy down in my lab coat pocket. I put my shoes back on while George watched and we both headed out to the pit together.
Only a few more hours to go.
------
My first 12-hour shift was finally over. The aching in my feet was beyond compare even though I had comfortable shoes on made for walking. I went back to the locker room to change and I found myself left with a few people and George changing near me. "Are you autistic? I mean, if you are that's okay with me. I won't tell the others if you don't want to tell them so that they don't make fun of you. I'm not saying that they will but they can be mean sometimes. Well, not Izzie. Wait no, Izzie can be mean sometimes but not in-" I just stared at him until he finished rambling.
"Sorry, that was rude. I didn't mean to assume or anything. It's just that I-" George began again before I stopped him. This must have been on his mind all day. "Yes, I'm autistic and I have Adhd as well. And I would appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone because I don't want any attention on me about it. People will treat me differently." I shrugged it off to George as I grabbed my bag. "Can I ask why?" George said as he sat down on the bench. "Why what?" I replied, not looking at him. "Why don't you want to tell anyone?" I let out a huff and closed the locker before I faced him.
"This is breaking my rules," I mumbled, "Rules? What do you mean?" There was confusion in his voice but I could hear that he wanted to understand. "Ever since I was a kid, I always knew that I was different. I never had a lot of friends growing up and I never was invited to birthday parties because of how people treated me for being different. I don't normally spill my life to people I just met but I feel like I can trust you. I've been judged about my diagnosis of AuDHD. There's no point in trying to be myself when I can be what people expect me to be."
"But doesn't that get tiring? Having to mask all the time?" He asked and I nodded quickly. "It's hard to get a break and for people to not stare at me when I stim and fidget," I said disappointingly, "But what do I expect?" I shrugged it off and began to make my way to the door. "It's hard being myself in a room full of people who don't get you, but thanks anyway for trying to understand George, have a good night."
And with that, I once again walked away. It's becoming a habit now.
------
(A month later, at the start of episode 9)
------
Izzie had invited me over to help cook and decorate the house for Thanksgiving. I wore a simple outfit, a black long sleeve with denim jeans and black Converse. My favorite brand of shoes.
Tumblr media
When I arrived I was greeted by Izzie rushing to get me inside. "I need you to get George for me, he's upstairs and he's supposed to be helping me cook but he hasn't left his room yet," Izzie said frantically. "Oh, okay. Um. Where exactly is his room? I've never been here before." I said while taking off my leather jacket and Izzie hanging it up for me.
"It's up the stairs, down the hall, and to the right." I listened to her directions and I reached George's room. I gently knocked on the door and waited for a reply. "Come in!" George said from the other side. I carefully opened it and saw him fully clothed on his bed with his eyes shut. "Why are you just lying on your bed?" I spoke as I closed his door behind me. He quickly opened his eyes, not knowing it was me.
"AJ! I- when did you get here?" He hurried and sat up to look at me. "I got here just now, not too long ago. You know Izzie wants you downstairs to help right?" I sat down on the end of his bed before he plopped back down with a huff. "I know but I'm afraid to go out there." I quirked a brow, "Afraid? Why would you be afraid?" As I said that he held his hands up and began counting down from 10. A thunderous noise arose from downstairs, and just when he reached zero, 3 men barged into his and screamed, "O'Malley!!"
Startled by the sudden noise, I looked at George for an answer. "Because of that." George huffed again. "Georgie, since when did you have a girlfriend? And she's hot too." I was taken aback at the man's comment. "C'mon, you know Georgie never gets laid," George rolled his eyes before getting up, trying to hide his embarrassment from me. "Please ignore my idiotic brothers," He began to go to his closet and grab camo wear. "Where are you going? Aren't you going to help Izzie?" There was desperation in those chocolate-brown eyes of his, and just when he was about to explain himself the older man chimed in and said, "Our Georgie is gonna kill his first turkey this year, I can feel it!"
"Dad you know Georgie isn't gonna kill a turkey, he never does." His eldest brother spoke, "No, he's gonna chicken out like how he usually does-" "Shut up!" George says while his brothers laugh, his face turning as red as a tomato now. "I'll be back as soon as I can to help. I promise I won't miss dinner." George tells me as he puts on his beanie and I thought he couldn't look any cuter. "Well, you better tell Izzie that," I scoffed as his family began to drag him out of the room chanting 'O'Malley' over and over again until they were down the stairs and out of the door.
"I don't think they're coming back any time soon." Izzie whined, "I hope he doesn't actually kill a bird."

Headcanons for dating George O'Malley...
Tumblr media
He's always thought you were pretty, beautiful actually, but you were friends and nothing more.
Until one day Izzy lets slip that you think George is cute.
"(y/n)? (y/n) thinks I'm cute? They think I'm... Oh god, I'm gonna pass out."
Through Meredith and Izzy's incessant pestering, they keep telling George to ask you out but he's terrified, he's so freaking scared.
"What if she says no?!"
"But George what if she says yes?!"
It takes a few days of convincing but after a drink in Joe's with some liquid confidence, George asks to have a chat with you and tells you in a very George like way.
"We're friends, right? We're actually pretty good friends but Izzy told me something and I keep going over it in my head that maybe we're not just friends... Maybe we could be more. What I'm trying to say, (y/n), is that I like you. A lot. And I want to spend time with you that isn't in the hospital or at Meredith's mom's house. I want to go out like two normal people going on a date. I want to take you on a date."
To his surprise, you agree eagerly and you plan a date for the next night when the two of you should be off work.
He's sweet, god he's so sweet. He's nervous as all hell but it's endearing the way he stumbles over his words as he tries to tell you how beautiful you look as he stands at your front door.
The first date is a little awkward initially but George probably does something a little silly like spilling his water down his shirt which makes the two of you laugh until your stomach hurts and then the ice is broken.
He's always been so damn easy to talk to but in this context where it's the two of you on a date, he's so attentive, listening intently to what you're saying, asking genuinely interested questions. You've never been on a date like it where the other party is so curious about you.
He's so funny. You'd known George a long time, been friends for ages, but you never realised just how funny he was. He had a whole lot of stories about his family, about his wild brothers and his dad that had you in hysterics the whole night over dinner.
He takes you home once again nervous and bumbling and you know why. He wants to kiss you. He just doesn't know how you'll be if he asks. Will it be weird? He doesn't know.
"I had a great time tonight, (y/n)..."
"Me too, George. That's the best date I've had honestly."
"Seriously? I mean, uh, yeah, me too..."
There's an awkward pause but George takes a breath and asks, "Can I kiss you?"
You don't answer but instead clash your lips together in a passionate though short kiss.
From there on your friendship blossoms into a steady relationship.
You sneak away from your busy lives as Doctors to make out in closets where Bailey catches you and gives you the worst cases but it's worth it.
Izzy teases the two of you whenever she sees you cuddled up together on the couch when she comes home from her shift. She loves seeing the two of you happy though.
George gives the best cuddles, it's like everything else disappears when he cuddles you. He's warm and soft and his arms are home to you. If you've had a crappy day at work, he's the only one you want to make you feel better.
Forehead kisses, cheek kisses, neck kisses, knuckle kisses. George loves to kiss you, he kisses you anywhere and everywhere he can.
The sex is always so passionate and tender and he attends to you like no other. He makes sure that you're satisfied no matter how long it takes. He loves to pleasure you. He loves the taste of you, loves the smell, loves the way you react to him. That alone is enough to please him.
It's one night after you've had a bad day at work and you're curled around each other he whispers that he loves you. You're falling asleep but you hear him, "I love you too, George."
He lets you call him Georgie and he surprisingly doesn't mind it. It doesn't annoy him like his brothers when they call him it. He likes it when you call him it.
He has about a million pet names for you. Babe, baby, sweetheart, love; any sort of cutesy name George will call you it along with some silly ones too.
He introduces you to everyone as his girlfriend, even patients, because he is so damn in love with you.
Date nights curled on the couch watching scary movies.
Date mornings having breakfast and coffee before work every morning.
Helping each other study for tests, grabbing coffee for each other every so often during your shifts.
You don't get a lot of free time together but when you do, the two of you make it count.

Grey's Anatomy is the most hateful show. I've ever seen in my life. Because usually when an actor wants to leave their show, the character will get an open ending incase the actor wants to come back. In Grey's they straight up kill the character off so there's literally no chance of the actor coming back.
It's like a hateful break up. They really said "Your dead to me and I don't ever want to see your face again."
It’s not pure shock value. The show is really mad at these people for having the nerve to leave 😭😭

I have had a myriad of favorite TV characters.
From police shows to political drama to comedy.
But I have never realized how much I actually relate to two. First one is Elliot Stabler and his anger issues.
Second, and this is new to me because I've only been recently hooked on it.
George O'Malley. He's an innocent and soft little beanster of a medical intern who cares so much about his friends and he would do absolutely anything for them.
Killing him off was the worst decision just because they didn't renew his contract because he came out as gay. Imagine how cool and cute of a big brother he would've been to Tuck.
I'm an official George O' Malley and Miranda Bailey stan now. 😁🤣🤣

Chasing Love (Greys Anatomy
Chapter One | Ohana Means Family
Kaylee always says 'Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten' her favourite saying from lilo and stitch
➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰
7:30... shift starts at 8 most days but today I was running late, I forgot Kaylee was due at dance at 8:30 and I was scrubbing in with a surgery with Derek Shepherd so I had to ask Meredith to take Kaylee to dance since she wasn't in work today.
"Mom!! Have you seen my tap shoes?" Kaylee calls as she practically runs down the stairs while I was getting ready, I rolled my eyes as I had a vision of her falling, I've told her thousands of times that you don't run on stairs but she still does, well I guess that's the me in her, know something is dangerous but I do it anyway.
"Their in the my car, in your dance bag" Meredith called coming out of nowhere as I was heading to the stairs to answer my daughter, I had no idea where she was.
"Thank you auntie Mer!" Kaylee smiled standing at the bottom of the stairs, yeah Kaylee and I live in mine and Meredith's mothers house, well what used to be hers, she's in a home, she's got Alzheimer's, not that it matters, she wasn't really their for us growing up, we basically brought each other up, Mer' was always protective though seeing as she is the older twin, we both look out for one another too.
Anyway where was I? Right I was telling you about the house, Izzie Stevens and George O'Malley are our housemates and they also work with us. Kaylee is home schooled and a full time dancer, she spends her time spent at her dance studio or the hospital. Did I mention that Meredith and I are interns at Seattle Grace hospital? I don't think I did but now I have.
Now let's get back to the story...
"Thank you again for taking Kaylee to dance today! I would have taken her myself but Derek has me scrubbing in on his Craniotomy and I'm already running late " I smiled to my twin as I grabbed my jacket off a hook where it was hanging, as I spoke to my sister I also put my jacket on
"Hey, it's fine Madi' Kaylee and I are going for ice cream after dance and before we come see you at lunch. Aren't we Kails?" Meredith asked Kaylee who was still standing on the stairs.
"Yeah, I'm going to have a mint chocolate ice-cream. It's always the best after dance treat" Kaylee grinned happily, Mer and I always take Kaylee for ice cream after dance, maybe not every single time but a few times we do If one of us aren't working but I'd we both have a shift then her friends mom drops her off at the hospital.
"You better save me some then kiddo" I grinned to my daughter who laughed.
"We can get some tomorrow Mom!" Kaylee giggled before running back up the stairs. I just smiled, she was everything I always imagined her to be, happy, smart and perfect. I'm not the best mom, I didn't have the best influences but I'm doing it myself, it's hard but I've got everyone with me to help
"Be good for auntie Mer! And have fun at dance!" I called to Kaylee as she get to the top of the stairs.
"I will Mom!" She said and then disappeared off into her bedroom.
"See you later Madi" Meredith said giving me a quick hug as I grabbed my bag and left the house. I got into my black Ford, I dumped my things into the passenger seat, pulled my seat belt across myself and buckled it up before starting the engine, I pulled out of the drive way and began my journey to the hospital
➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰
Kaylee's POV
Mom had to go into work early today and Auntie Meredith didn't, today she was off work so she was taking me to dance today and we were getting ice cream after dance at lunch before we see mom. I was so excited to rehearse for my solo for the competition in a few weeks and the winter recital.
"Hi Izzie!" I smiled as I walked towards the kitchen where Auntie Meredith was.
"Auntie Mer! Is my water bottle in the car" I asked pulling on my black bomber jacket.
"I just put it in. Have you got everything?" Auntie Meredith asked me  as I zipped my jacket up while I was standing in the door way the kitchen where Izzie was baking some cakes, her cakes are amazing.
"Everything my else should be in my bag." I told my aunt who nodded and was ready to take me to dance.
"Have fun at dance Kaylee" Izzie smiled  while she was taking the cakes out of the oven.
"I will, thank you Izzie! Could you save me one of the chocolate chip cakes please" I smiled happily towards one of the aunt fighters I have.
"Sure" Izzie smiled as I quickly turned around and ran off to get in the car.
"I swear that girl has more energy than Madi' or I had at that age" I heard Auntie Meredith laugh as she said goodbye to Izzie and then made her way to me.
➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰
I was sat in the changing rooms in the middle split, it was just Rosanna, Louie and i as we had a trio to rehearse for, then I had my solo before the group dance which was before lunch, after lunch I have ballet, Tap and Acro and then we have group rehearsal and I have another solo rehearsal with our dance teacher Miss Carla, she's taught me to dance since I was 2, when I did baby ballet. Auntie Meredith was up with Rosanna and Louie's moms to watch our rehearsals.
"Can you believe that we have our first competition with the new team in just under 3 weeks and it's here in town!" Louie exclaimed as he helps me up from my middle split.
"I can't believe the new team had actually worked out. And Lee' has 3 dances, the trio, a solo and the lead in the group dance!" Rosanna exclaimed from the floor.
"I think my brain work burst from too much choreography if I had any more dances" I laughed
"What's your solo about anyway?" Louie and Rosanna both asked simultaneously.
"Well it's called Ohana Means Family and it's about a girl who looses her mom but she finds out she has a twin who lives with her aunt, the emotions are just perfect and the Choreo is everything I would have asked for if I had a say in it" I exclaimed happily, I couldn't wait for the comp, I hope Mom and auntie Mer can come and watch or even if they can come to the recital, either is fine with me.
"Kaylee, Rosanna and Louie, come in so we can discuss your trio" Miss Carla smiled as she came into the changing rooms. Louie was the first one in as Rosanna and I followed closely behind him.
"So like we've told you when we taught you the Trio it's a contemporary piece about siblings, working through the loss of their oldest sibling and how they look out for each other, I want the three of you to use your emotions, focus on that" miss Carla explained to the three of us. Louie, Rosanna and I all got into our starting positions.
➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰
Madilyn's POV
"I've told you a million times before, I don't see you as anything in that way! Alex you are one of my good friends but I don't see anything happening between us now please let me go, Dr. Shepherd is waiting for me." I said to Alex Karev, he had been trying to get me to go on a date with him since we first met on the first day of our internship.
"Come on Madi' you always put Kaylee first, why don't you put yourself first for once. Have a night out. Let your hair down." Alex said which made me roll my eyes
"You won't get it Karev! Kaylee is my daughter, she is my priority, everything I do is for her. I work hard so I can give her the best life, so she can continue to dance. We can discuss this after I've done with surgery. But I'm giving you five minutes because I have told you so many times that I don't want to go on a date with you because your just one of my friends" I sighed before walking off, I didn't hate Alex, he just wasn't my type, friends was all I see him as. I finally made my way into OR2, I scrubbed in.
"I'm sorry I'm late Doctor Shepherd! Karev wouldn't let me leave until I agreed to go on a date with him." I grumbled.
"Want me to have a word with him? You sound like your annoyed" Derek asked.
"Nah, it's fine. I can handle it! I've handled worse! I'll just have a word with him after the surgery. He's my friend, nothing more. I'm not looking for anything serious right now anyway" I exclaimed while Derek began the surgery
➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰
I had managed to avoid Alex after the surgery and decided to talk to him now, it's lunch and it was best to get it out of the way now.
"You never came to find me after your surgery." Alex said sitting down at the table I was sat with, I was on my own until he found me.
"I did, but I was busy" I half lied, I was busy but I would have had time to give Alex five minutes.
"Before you say anything I would like to speak" I said to Alex before he even had a chance to answer me or say anything.
"Go ahead" Alex answered and I smiled.
"I know you like me, everyone has told me that. But I don't see you in that way, I see you as a friend or even a brother. You make me laugh when I'm stressing over Kaylee or a patient. You give the best hugs then too but I don't want to hurt you because you are just a really good friend of mine and I don't want to ruin that. We're best to stay friends but we can go for a drink some time, not tonight as I can't ask Izzie or George to have Kaylee and Mer' is out tonight, I'm on night shift tomorrow so let me sort things out then we can have a drink and just talk and stuff, as friends" I said to Alex who nodded.
"Okay" was all Alex said before he walked off leaving me on my own again, I was wondering where Mer and Kaylee were.
➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰
As I was heading to check on a patient my phone began ringing with Meredith's name that's when the worry hit me, was Kaylee alright, had something happened to them. All the thoughts of something bad hit me all at once making me lean against the wall as I answered my phone.
"Is Kaylee okay! Are you okay! Has something happened" I asked all at once instead of saying hello, I was worried about my twin and daughter so of course I would ask questions, right?
"We're both fine, well Kaylee isn't really fine, she threw up during rehearsal so Carla has sent her home to rest" Meredith said to me and I sighed a sigh of relief.
"I'm fine Mom!" I heard Kaylee call but I wasn't having any of it, I knew my daughter and she was like me, if she's not feeling well she hides it, she pushes herself to be the best even if that means not putting herself first when she's not well.
"Mer! Make sure Kaylee rests! I know she won't want to but please make sure she does" I asked my sister
"I will. Don't worry. I just didn't want you to worry about why we didn't meet you" Meredith said to me
"Okay, thanks Mer! I best get off." I said simpily. Meredith and I say out goodbyes and love you's before I hung up and practically ran to the patient I was meant to be checking on.. it was going to be a long afternoon knowing that my daughter isn't feeling well but I know she will be fine with Meredith, she will be fine.

George O'Malley Starter Call --- Answering for @story1ines
Tumblr media
It had been too long since George had set foot in Seattle, let alone the hospital that he did his internship and residency at. George had went to Iraq to be a surgeon, wanted to help the men and women that were risking everything for them, were willing to get a leg amputation just to go back. How could he see that dedication and not want to do his part? It had been so much harder and terrifying than he could have ever imagined, but it was also so rewarding. True, there were nights that he couldn't sleep because of everything that he had seen, but he felt good for what he was doing.
To be back at the hospital though? He hadn't kept in touch with too many people, wanted to focus on what he was doing and not people trying to talk him into coming home. He had left six months ago, and while George felt so different, everything felt... the same. With a deep breath he finally stepped inside, eyes taking in the familiar walls and chairs, seeing doctors and nurses walking past the desk and up on the walkway. It felt surreal. Even more so when he saw the blonde waiting for the elevator, causing him to freeze for a moment. "Izzie."
