July 15, 2023 - Red-headed Trogon (Harpactes erythrocephalus)
These trogons are found in mountain forests in parts of South and Southeast Asia and southern China. They feed on insects, including stick-insects, grasshoppers, and flies, as well as leaves and berries. Pairs excavate nest hollows in the sides of rotten tree trunks or use holes made by woodpeckers. Both parents incubate the eggs and care for the chicks.

January 11, 2023 - Philippine Trogon (Harpactes ardens)
Found in the Philippines, these trogons live in lowland and low-elevation mountain forests. They eat insects, including grasshoppers and stick-insects, foraging alone or in pairs. Breeding from March through June, they nest in cavities in trees where females lay clutches of three eggs. Both parents probably incubate the eggs though only males have been seen doing so.
