🥀🍎 "I really liked Red, yunno?" 🍒💔

"Like.. Proper liked 'er. She was real pretty but not like... 'cheerleaders from school' pretty. The kind a'pretty that makes ya heart beat so fast, you don't know if you're fallin' for 'er or just scared outta ya mind. I remember 'er starin' daggers at Brick an' I knew for a fact she spooked him real good but Brick's too full of 'imself to admit it.

So's we're standin' by the doors, keepin' watch, right? Brick an' Clown trashin' the place fine without us so I start talkin', askin' stuff like 'where you been', 'how long you been watching the store', 'how her gran's been' - useless shit. I just... wanted to know more 'bout 'er cus I didn't really know Red. Nobody did. Just some bird who moved from god-knows-where with 'er grandma.

So she starts talkin' bout her gran an' I got curious, yunno? Cus Red never talked much but I knew she loved her gran more than anything so I was tryin' really hard to listen to what she was sayin' but the beers made me 'ead fuzzy so I don't know if I heard some stuff right but like.. I asked why she looked so sad, an' she said they were gonna have to move after this. Told me how much she loved 'er gran, how she'd do anything for her. She took care of her cus no one else would. I told her not to go, but she said it was gonna be hard to stay...

She said her grandma was gettin' too hungry."

Rehashed a short story I did from a '52 stories in 52 weeks' prompt I did ages ago. The prompt for this one was 'retelling of an old fairytale' so I did Red Riding Hood ;)

La vida surgió en el mar y con la luna posiblemente haya surgido la noción del tiempo. Su relación es antigua, con cada fase viene un tipo distinto de marea que puede traer abundancia y fecundidad. Por ello siempre se les ha asociado con la vida, siendo el océano la cuna de la misma y la luna quien la empuja a seguir adelante.

i don’t have solid designs for the next 2 stages in bitbap’s line but i do have their names- cryosap n ambronacula :)

(bitbap comes from bitty + bit + bat + apple, cryosap comes from cryosleep + winesap + sap + apple, n ambronacula comes from ambrosia + amber + hibernacula + dracula)

i’m thinkin cryosap n ambronacula will end up being grass / ice types w/ the ability to learn a bunch of poison type moves? my logic is that the line is based on little brown bats, which are one of the species of bats that’s heavily affected by this fungal disease called white nose syndrome that, in short, disrupts their hibernation. which. is a dark origin i know, but pokemon is no stranger to shit like that so. yeah. also i went in a vampire direction specifically b/c this hypothetical region of mine is based on pennsylvania which sounds like transylvania n i thought it was funny

#paq.txt #pa is probably the state i know the most about so that's why this region (that i currently have no name for) is based on it #oh i do have names for this hypothetical game tho- pokemon flourish n pokemon fester :) #also yes i realize that i'm saying the literal fruit bats are not based on actual fruit bats. i thought it was funnier like this #generally speaking my reasoning behind stuff like this can be boiled down to 'i thought it'd be funny'. i am committed to the bit

En el crepúsculo.

Es en el crepúsculo que se dió este encuentro. El crepúsculo, al igual que el amanecer es un momento especial porque las fronteras que dividen los mundos se desvanecen por un breve tiempo. Es en el crepúsculo que dos errantes se topan, dos árboles: el framboyán con sus flores que parecen llamas (Delonix regia) y la jacaranda con sus dulces flores de color púrpura (Jacaranda mimosifolia) son testigos de este acontecimiento. Lo que pase a continuación será un misterio que quedará solo entre estos dos vagabundos y sus mudos testigos que cubren el campo con sus radiantes flores.
