The whole "We love Klaine" lie of Jenna and Kevin reminds me of Friends.

In the Thanksgiving episode season 8 it was revealed that Ross and Will (Brad Pitt) had a "I hate Rachel Green" club in highschool.

In my fantasy Jenna and Kevin had a "We hate Blaine/Klaine" club during Glee. Which is way more believable than the "We love Klaine" crap they told us in the last episode.

I just hope Jenna and Kevin didn't started a rumor like Ross and Will did. Although we already know Kevin isn't above that.

I will try to think of the "We hate Blaine/Klaine" club and see the funny side of it instead of getting annoyed by future recap epsiodes.

I'm a fairly new Klaine fanfic writer, to be honest. I posted my first story on A03 in September of 2022. It's called Trick or Treat. A prequel is in the works :)

I'm glad you are enjoying If I Can Make Your Heart My Home. I really am having fun writing it ( its not quite done yet - I'm on Chp 14 as we speak!). And I am thrilled to be able to work together with @datshitrandom, whose work for the fandom I greatly admire.

OK, this last part is hard. I feel that I'm so new at this so I'm not sure exactly which trope I like writing best. So far I've tried the following: I've done a soulmate fic (w/ a D/s relationship). I've written some supernatural/fantasy. I have a superhero series. I tried writing horror. I did a crossover fic with another fandom, written a totally fluffy highschool fic. I really enjoyed all of it.

Tropes/ genres I'd like to take a stab at or go back to :

I'm dying to do a historical fic (can't stop thinking about a setting the boys in feudal Japan).

I have a few more fantasy genre stories rambling about in my head. ( witches and tinkers and sword fighting and magical tattoos . . oh my)

I have my favorite rom-com movie that I want to put the boys in

I might want to try a Highschool/ Cheerio fic

Time Traveler fic . . or a Doctor Who crossover?

Another stab at some sort of supernatural piece - maybe werewolves or some other magical/mythical creature? Vampires? Sirens? Shapeshifters?

So, so many ideas . . not enough time to write everything!

This is my first Klaine advent 2022 entry and the last too for this year. I wanted to write fic(should have been a drabble but my mind doesn't shut up) for quite a while and I wrote now. This is unbetaed and mistakes are mine. The Romeo and Juliet's lines were taken directly from the script available online, suggested by the wonderful @caramelcoffeeaddict . Those lines along with the narration are intalicized. My English is not great, no apologize.

Day 15: pump

Juliet's Boudair

Blaine's black boots clanked rhythmically through the apartment's door, thanking every soul of his great escape from the skin biting cold weather outside. The warmth of their apartment spread even in this front hallway as he opened the door, much to his liking. He was home. He was back to the comfort of his home.

He hastily removed his black boots, which were now wet after a big battle between the snow filled ground the boots. His bare feet finally laid on the wooden flooring. It was icy cold but not too cold like outside. He dropped his key, carefully pulling his nag's strap from not falling and removed his gloves, finally rubbing his aching palms together.

"Honey! I'm home!" he called cheerfully with a loud voice. He was a little disappointed with the lack of response that usually greeted him.

"Kurt?"

He couldn't hear his husband.  All he heard was a myriad of vessels rustling against each other.

Blaine  knew what exactly was this. He gently pulled his shoulder bag, filled with creative gifts from his students at school. It was the last working day before the winter break and Blaine rushed home with a profound enthusiasm to show all those pretty gifts his kids showered him with.

He passed across the gorgeously decorated living room with the cherry of season vibes and entered the kitchen. There was his lovely husband, bent down and going through the vessel arranged in the  rack.

"Kurt? What are you doing?"

He didn't utter any word. Blaine went proximal to him and stood behind him.

"Kurt honey?"

Kurt turned behind, his eyes crying about something. He was a real embodiment of a pre- mature nervous breakdown and anxiety.

"Nothing. How was your day?" he asked, trying not to break in front of him. Blaine was not buying it.

He gently placed his hands on either shoulders of his husband and pulled him closer.

"Honey, you know I can read you.  My day was good. I am very concerned about yours."

Kurt was dumb struck for a minute, fixing his gaze into Blaine's eyes.  His husband  has a pair of very gorgeous, lemon drop like eyes. His heart seemed to have  pumped every single drop of blood. He could feel the heartbeat in his head.

"You know you can tell me anything Kurt."

Kurt pulled his husband into a comfort hug. He finally felt like a small burden was raised from his heart.

"You know that I have an audition in 2 weeks, don't you?" he whispered.

Kurt could feel Blaine nodding his head. 

"I don't think I am ready for that. I am not ready for it."

Kurt pulled suddenly and looked away.

"But why do you think?"

"I will never be ready for Romeo.*

"Kurt?"

"I can't do this, Blaine" he bursted out finally , shooting flames at his husband.

"I can't keep lying to myself,  Blaine. I auditioned for Tony in school and I didn't get it. I am going to get it now. I am not masculine enough."

Blaine's lips parted. His husband clearly needed an intervention.

"Screw this audition. I am not doing."

He tried to walk away when Blaine tugged his hand.

"Kurt, if you walk away now, the world would be missing a wonderful Romeo."

"They won't ,Blaine. There are better Romeos and Tonys in the world. I am not one."

A single drop of tear rolled on his porcelain cheek. Blaine held his closely, allowing his to wet his shoulder.

"Kurt, you don't know what they are missing. Highschool days are gone. I know I shouldn't say this because I got Tony. But if you give me a chance now, I can prove how my husband possesses a beast of masculinity enough for Romeo in him."

"How?"

Blaine wiped the tear with his thumb pad. He dragged him to the living room.

"Alright. We are going to practice your audition scene.  I'll be your Juliet and we are going to recreate the scene."

"Are you kidding or are you nuts? I am not doing this."

"I am challenging you , Kurt Hummel- Anderson. If you do this scene now, I will buy you anything you want. Even that expensive Gucci jacket."

"Really?" Kurt's eyes dilated in zeal. Blaine knew how to find his way.

"Yeah."

"Alright," he finally said. Blaine took the script paper lying on the coffee table.

"This is Act III scene V. Alright, Give me a minute. You can get ready with your props by then."

Kurt pulled his handmade feathered beret and spread a red velvet cloth on the floor by the time Blaine skimmed through the dialogues.

"I'm ready, Kurt. Shall we start?"

Kurt nodded nervously.  Blaine got down on the cloth, besides Kurt.

"Kurt, I am not Blaine now. I am Juliet. I am YOUR Juliet."

Blaine closed his eyes and pictured himself as Juliet. He got into the head space of Juliet  and laid beside Kurt.

Kurt scooted closer and laid next to him, positioning his forearm around Blaine. Blaine's eyelashes fluttered as a gesture of yes.

Romeo straightened himself from his laying  position and Juliet raised suddenly from her bed as she watched her Romeo leaving. She pulled his hand, wanting him to stay. Romeo's gaze shifted to his lovely Juliet.

"Wilt thou be gone? it is not yet near day:

It was the nightingale, and not the lark,

That pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear;

Nightly she sings on yon pomegranate-tree:

Believe me, love, it was the nightingale"

Her hand rested firmly on his chest, trying desperately to convince him. Romeo faced Juliet, his eyes filled with love and determination.

"It was the lark, the herald of the morn,

No nightingale: look, love, what envious streaks

Do lace the severing clouds in yonder east:

Night's candles are burnt out, and jocund day

Stands tiptoe on the misty mountain tops.    10

I must be gone and live, or stay and die.

Blaine was mesmerised by the way Kurt embodied Romeo. With the drop in his voice and his fast dialogue delivery, he really felt like Juliet.

"Yon light is not day-light, I know it, I:

It is some meteor that the sun exhales,

To be to thee this night a torch-bearer,

And light thee on thy way to Mantua:

Therefore stay yet; thou need'st not to be gone."

Juliet's eyes were filled with tears, threatening to fall. She wanted her love to stay even more. No light was convincing him that it wasn't daylight. Juliet tugged his vest more, her eyes determined into his gaze.

Kurt was pumping his lines seamlessly. Blaine was really about to tear up. He would be glad if he could be his Juliet for the rest of his life.

Romeo shifted to his knees, cupping the hands of his Juliet with his hands.

"Let me be ta'en, let me be put to death;

I am content, so thou wilt have it so.

I'll say yon grey is not the morning's eye,

'Tis but the pale reflex of Cynthia's brow;   

Romeo's hands rested on Juliet's waist, assuring certainty in every breath.

Juliet knew she could never convince him but her heart was overwhelmed by his love for her. He could even die for her and the world would never be able to stop . That was enough.

"Nor that is not the lark, whose notes do beat

The vaulty heaven so high above our heads:

I have more care to stay than will to go:

Come, death, and welcome! Juliet wills it so.

How is't, my soul? let's talk; it is not day."

And Romeo cupped Juliet's face and placed a breathtaking kiss on her lips.

Kurt held Blaine firmly and kissed him like tomorrow didn't exist. Blaine pulled Kurt onto him and kissed him passionately. They continued till the demand for oxygen separated them. They blushed and stayed laying beside each other.

"See? I told you. My husband can pull Romeo like no one's business. If he wants me to be his Juliet for the rest of my life, I'll gladly be."

Kurt shifted, facing Blaine.

"Blaine, are you crying?"

Blaine got up and looked away from Kurt, trying to hide his tears shyly.

"It's nothing. That was just the intensity of your Romeo hitting me."

Kurt pulled Blaine's face and wiped the stray tears , chuckling softly.

"You know how this play ends, right?"

"Oh damn! I didn't think about it," Blaine came to realization.

Kurt chuckled again and connected his lips to Blaine's for a chaste kiss.

"I don't want you to be my Juliet. I love my Blaine being himself rather than Juliet."

Their chests touched with heart beats trying to synchronise.

"So, the Gucci?" asked Blaine.

Kurt cupped his face.

"That can wait, honey. This is our play time."

"Play? What play? And who wrote it?" Blaine played with him.

"Me. Stage location: bedroom or here, if you will. Play name: Our lovemaking time."

Blaine bursted out in laughter and Kurt smiled.

"You adorable dork!"

"And I am your Dork!" Kurt winked micheviously.

Blaine pulled him dearly for their lovely long night. There was no other way. "Romeo and Juliet" might have ended but not their play.

Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)

Angst/ Supernatural-Fic, Diese Fic begann ihr Leben als vollkommen andere Fic, die ich eigentlich schreiben wollte,  weil aber kurz nach der Planng Cory gestorben ist, habe die Grundidee beibehalten und den Inhalt abgewandelt. Die Handlung umspannt die gesammte Serie. Fünf Highschool-Schüler schließen einen Pakt mit einem Dämon, und auch wenn es zuerst nicht so aussieht scheinen sie dadurch alles zu bekommen, was sie immer wollten, nur ihr Glück können sie niemals finden.

Klaine ist Endgame aber nicht unbedingt positiv dargestellt. Am Anfang war das Wort. Dann kam das Bild. Dann der Ton. Und dann irgendwann kam das Bewusstsein.

Glee Rewatch 1x18, Chris Colfer is a great actor

Brittany is absolutely entranced by my rewatch.

Rachel trying to sing "The Climb" is absolutely hilarious and props to Lea Michelle for succeeding in badly singing it.

Kurt masquerading as macho is comedic but also quite interesting on Chris Colfer's part because it's a side he never displays again (or maybe in Props?) and shows he absolutely can play something else than Kurt. I feel like his singing is trying to emulate Finn, which, understandable. The good ol' "do I want to be him or to be with him".

Finn and Brittany are the only ones delighted by the performance, Brittany because she supports everyone, and Finn because...

Well, I guess we can interpret this in various ways.

"he's cute" just before "oh no he's cute" (flash-forward to five years later: Finn's brandishing a bisexual flag at Pride as Blaine and Kurt kiss him on each cheek just as Sue Sylvester announces that she married Olivia Newton-John)

"i knew he could do it" meaning "be masculine" meaning Finn needs to read a book or two about feminism

"i have no idea what's going on but Kurt's having fun and that's nice :)"

I'm very fond of my "Finn is bi but only understands it after highschool because It's A Lot" headcanon but I know I'm in the minority.

Anyway I completely forgot that Kurt and Brittany snog in this episode, so I shouldn't be surprised that later in the show we see Blaine and Brittany in bed together (with more chemistry than Klaine but that's another debate). It's just Brittany Things.

Completely forgot about Sean!

If the last episode annoyed me with its suspenseful audio cue, this one annoyed me for its excessive use of the "todododododoooo" cue (there's notably a scene at the beginning where you hear it every two second like PLEASE WE GET IT).

Nice outfit!

You know, I thought that saying that "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" was one of Finn's favorite songs in S5 came out of nowhere, but he does sing a U2 song here so. uh. congrats for vague continuity, I guess?

My Review: I have to admit that when I saw this fic was complete, I might have moved up high school week so I could go ahead and read this fic. I'm so glad that I did. It's incredible. I've read a few other things by this author, and this is just as brilliant as her other works. Let me attempt to explain my reasons why.

First, I love the trailer that this was based upon and the author made sure every moment was placed in this story. However, it was done in such a clever way that I was pleasantly surprised by what went down. She could've gone the predictable route and made this angsty as hell, and it does have its share of angst, but it keeps the charm that this author always has in her fics.

Oh, Blaine. I was so worried when I saw the trailer that Blaine would be painted in a negative light because he was closeted and popular, but I forgot who was writing this. She does an incredible job at making Blaine sympathetic and likable even though he does some things that are questionable. He's relatable, and I completely understand why he does what he does.

Kurt is just amazing here. I can completely understand his side of things and the reasons he does what he does. He's patient and sympathetic toward Blaine, but at the same time, he doesn't let people push him around.

I can't give love to Klaine here without saying that I love the way the author writes Santana. The relationship between Kurt and Santana is gold. She truly is an amazing friend to Kurt and Blaine.

Sigh, I never liked Rachel, but she was definitely worse here. However, I couldn't help but wonder what her motivation was. at the same time, I had hoped that there was something, anything, that was redeemable to her. Let's just say she definitely deserved what happens to her.

This is an amazing story that if you haven't had the opportunity to read yet, here's your chance. It's worth your time.

🫐 What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.)

OMG - A ship that I never knew existed, and never would I ever thought would have worked or that I ever would have wanted . . but once I read some stuff for it - I'm so there: Sebastian Smythe/Adam Crawford. If you haven't read any of these, give them a try because they sold me on this pairing ( esp the first series listed below):

I so want more with these boys together and one day I'm going to write something for these two. 💖💖

🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with?

I'm pretty openminded about AUs as a writer - I really love them, to be honest. I think I've written mostly in AUs . . maybe I have written only one fic thats closest to Glee canon - with the kids all in highschool . .etc.

As a reader: I was just thinking about it ( and of my bookmarks) and I love College/University AUs, Fantasy/Sci Fi AUs, D/s Aus, Historical Fiction AUs, Supernatural AUs, Musician fics, Fireman fics, Restaurant/CoffeeHouse fics, BadBoy fics (wait, are some of these more tropes than AUs? 😂😂.) I wouldn't say I hate, but I don't tend to read many distopian AUs . . but then, I don't tend to read to read those types of stories IRL either. So I probably wouldn't take a stab at writing them.

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

Haven't thought of it before . . but oh my goodness (when I saw "pretentious literary reference" )- please tell me someone has written a Klaine/Jane Eyre crossover AU or something or other.

Can't you picture it:

Blaine as the dark, brooding Mr Rochester type character - master of Dalton Hall.

Kurt being hired as Jane Eyre was to be a tutor for Blaine's ward(s) - the child (ren) of his diseased brother Cooper.

But Blaine is hiding a secret who knows what that is . . . a mad husband locked in the attic like in the novel ( Sebastian? Eli?)

Make it all gothic romance and everything - I think that would be pretty awesome, right? I'd read it!

I hated Adam and Kadam. I don’t know why! Maybe I just didn’t like the idea of Kurt replacing Blaine and vice versa (though I joke about Blam). I just wanted more happy Klaine. I think also people thinking he was wonderful because of his English accent was like, what seriously??

ha Kadam , the relationship everyone seems to either hate or love , always the extremes , even though they barely had any screentime or development enough to bring out such extreme emotions

If you ask me whether i ship kadam , the answer is no since canon gave us barely any content to base off my feelings for them . But if you ask me whether i wanted a better built midgame for kurt even if it was through adam , then yes , i'll always want kurt to experience all aspects of life and about being in relationships before coming to his own decisions which will ultimately help him in his relationship with blaine.

But , i don't hate adam ? like he was barely there and his only job was to be supportive of kurt and hype him up and compliment him when kurt was putting himself down . there were no complex emotions involved and ended before anything could become of it . Kurt surely appreciated adam but was still using him as a rebound from blaine and couldn’t really give his full attention to adam just like the writers 

But again , i used to dislike them  and find them useless but now i’ve come to a place where i appreciate every relationships the characters have than take the fandom mindset of ‘ why did these characters meet / why are they in a relationship ‘ when every encounters the characters have , even the small ones , will only help them build the person they become by the end of the show . it really helps you be a positive person in the fandom

now , i’m not trying to put words in your mouth , but as far as i’ve seen , most people hate kadam because the shippers try to compare the supportive yet shallow nature of adam with the more complex , a person with his own individual feelings and faults , nature of blaine . they try to compare the barely present and one sided relationship of kadam with the complex relationship of klaine . And i truly understand that side of emotions from you since that is kind of my same feelings with blam . not to dredge up old feelings , but when i first started in the fandom , you could only find either brittana or blam shippers , atleast it was like that for me who was coming into the fandom only because of klaine and to fangirl about them . and the same thing of comparing the blam friendship to klaine relationship and in turn comparing kurt to sam was present , not taking into account that blam was only a friendship in the show and klaine was a relationship that was trying to live their life as adults and had adult responsibilities unlike blam who could still be there highschool selves .so this really put a bitter taste in my mouth for them which i’m trying to get over since getting into the klaine part of fandom .

so, what i’m getting at is that , most of our dislike towards characters/ships come maybe 40 % from the show itself and the rest from our experiences in the fandom . not saying your dislike for adam/kadam is invalid but i can guess it got hightened as you came into the fandom and the negative part of the shipping world .

And , adam was the only semi serious midgame kurt ever had so i’m trying to just reblog something about them because i do like kurt apart from klaine and like other aspects of his life and want to acknowledge the all rounded character of kurt , including his other relationships and since i’ve come to not hate kadam , i thought having them in my blog was not a bad thing.  

i hate adam’s accent , i’m sorry . whenever i hear what’s shakin’ bacon , i want to rip my ear out and cringe so hard . i’m sorry to people from that area , this is in no way me trying to attack your accent , but adam just makes it worse. 

so yeah , in conclusion i don’t hate adam/ kadam but do not ship them either and wish for a better built storyline for them but glee writers are just not good at giving good midgames . and i truly understand your dislike towards them . 

#mer answers #1908jmd #anti kadam #anti blam #maybe ? idk #tried not to go much into blam side of things #but since you brought them up i thought maybe going a bit into it might not be a big problem #again it all comes down to our experiences with fandom a lot of the times #one of the biggest reasons i've tried not to get into such big fandoms before glee #but i truly loved klaine a lot and they were one of the first big gay relationships i'd fallen in love with #and i thought there might be some great things to experience about them with the fandom #and then the only people i could find for a long time were brittana/blam fans who were extremely anti klaine #before coming to tumblr the only non klaine kurt/blaine relationships i'd known people shipped was blam #only in tumblr did i find kurtbastian/seblaine/hevans/kelliot shippers #and the hate really got to me since i myself was in a very vulnerable state at the time #and klaine was honetly such a huge comfort #so those anxieties come to kick in time and again when i see romantic blam posts #but i've tried to be a better person about it since i truly like blam friendship and want more for blaine than just the klaine relationship #but you just can't control your reactions towards past experiences popping up again #why am i so intense with this shipping thing god #like i want to be casual #but being in love with a relationship for such a long time ( atleast long for me since most of my obsessions wither within max 4 months ) #can make you a fierce protector #sorry for the rambling #idk if you'll even see it since i tagged it anti blam #but whatever i just wanted to say i understand your dislike towards kadam #since i most probably would've felt the same if those were the shippers i'd interacted with

Yesyesyes! I agree so hard with your additions. Klaine was this fairytale relationship in highschool and they both (yes including Kurt, I love him tho) didn’t realize how hard it would be to maintain it when they’re so far apart. Blaines an impulsive perosn and doesn’t really think about the consequences of his actions. And people tend to forget that he cheated more than once but it was with Kurt in s6 so they pretend like it never happened

if it weren’t for rib’s obsession with high school relationships we could’ve gotten healthy character development and variety in relationships.

i pretend canon doesn’t exist, kelliot is endgame
