Headcanons for Mattheo Riddle

• Mattheo would have alright grades, not good nor bad, but when he really starts to enjoy a class that he actually goes to, he’ll automatically become one of the best students.

• Physical touch is absolutely his love language due to not getting it as a kid, he also does a lot of gift giving.

• Heavy smoker, often stressed because of his father always putting pressure on him.

• He doesn’t like Harry Potter, just cause the way he grew up around deatheaters, but not like mortal enemies with him or anything, just bullying when he feels like it.

• He rarely gets crushes, but when he does he will very quickly act on it.

• Slytherin Beater.

• I think that he would always try his best to please his mother. (Bellatrix) y’know?

James simply raises an eyebrow, not having expected the other Black brother to acknowledge him, much less try to talk to him.

“I hear you have a problem with Sirius.”

A problem is putting it mildly. As if Sirius didn’t betray their trust and almost got another student killed.

When James doesn’t deny it Regulus smirks. “I can help you get back at him.”

James didn’t fancy himself as someone who desired revenge but then again recent events had clearly proved his judgement couldn’t be trusted.

“Date me.”

James blinks, sure he’s misheard. Regulus continues. “Well obviously it would be fake but it would drive Sirius up the wall.”

James couldn’t deny it. It was a wickedly smart plan. Not only replacing Sirius for his younger brother, but also dating him? That was pure genius.

Yet- there was something off. Regulus wouldn’t be this helpful without ulterior motives. “And what would you get out of it?”

“Isn’t seeing my brother suffering reward enough?”

At James blank stare, Regulus continues. “Look, are you in or not?”

James stares at the determined expression, so similar yet so different from Sirius’s. He knew he wasn’t going to find out Regulus’s reasons for this if he had even an ounce of Sirius’s stubbornness.

And as much as he knew this was a train wreck waiting to happen - he wanted to do it. He wanted to make Sirius hurt, the way he’s been hurting for the past few days.

“I’m in.”
