I made myself a personal playlist with the fnaf songs I like (because wow I’ve missed out on like five years of bangers and need to catch up!!). I thought I would make myself a playlist cover with my precious Helpy bear to inspire even more joy from it!! He stole/borrowed DJ Music Man’s headphones. :3

ur secret santa accidentally got a bit too secret this week as i finished up my finals but now i am free!! throw all ur fav fitzsimmons @ hogwarts headcanons my way, big or small, relevant to the prompt or not, i'd love to hear them! and just for fun (& for me to listen to while i work on ur gift), any song(s) that remind u of our fitzsimmons? cant believe we're this close to the end :)
Oh my gosh, hello, Santa! 💜💜 No worries about the secrecy thing, I've been a touch less active myself here, too, and spending my days being spectacularly lazy 😝 Ah, breaks are the BEST, and I'm so glad you've got one now too!
So, hmmm, Fitzsimmons at Hogwarts headcanons, let me see.
Well, first of all, I think that they're both Ravenclaws, with very little question about that? Fitz could maybe be a Gryffindor, maybe, but ultimately I'd say they're both classic Ravenclaw. They'd also both be those Hermione-esque students who are naturally brilliant at magic, and get all the spells right through a combination of homework (high five, Jemma 🤣) and talent.
I also think that Jemma would be made a prefect pretty much as soon as she was old enough - because, come on, she's literally perfect for it. Responsible but still compassionate, and more than smart enough to keep up with her school duties despite having other responsibilities - yup. Fits the bill perfectly!
Fitz, I think, would be more of a wild card prefect-wise, because he's a little shyer and less natural with people, and also if we have Daisy in the story, he's bound to get into some kind of shenanigans with her 🤣😝
Thirdly, and I don't know how relevant this is at all, lol, I'm literally just spamming you with my Hogwarts-y thoughts and ideas here - but I've always thought that, in pretty much any Hogwarts AU, Coulson would make the most PERFECT Dumbledore, and May the best McGonagall. I mean, just. 😍😍😍😍😍
Ohhh, my gosh, and the last thing I LOVE to headcanon is that Fitzsimmons is That Couple who the entire school ships, and wants to get together - best friends, or maybe enemies (! 👀), but either way very much into each other, and very much mutually oblivious about it.
Hmmmhhhmm, that's all I can think of at 8am this morning, and without a cup of tea, no less 🤣😱🤦‍♀️ But if you'd like any more hcs about this, ask again anytime and I'd love to share them! We still have a few days left 😍😍🤣 And, you know, in general - I'd love to talk to you a bit more once this is all over.
Before I go, though, you asked me for some Fitzsimmons songs - and I'll let you in on a secret here, I absolutely can't listen to anything while trying to write, because my musical brain gets distracted with the harmonies and analysis of the song, or... I just start singing along, lmaoo. Case in point: no writing gets done.
So while I don't have a convenient writing playlist to pick from, after having a bit of a think, I've managed to pull together a list of songs that give me the best FS feels. 🥰
You Were Never Gone from Teen Wolf - this song is, and probably always will be, my number one Fitzsimmons song. Even if the lyrics weren't positively perfectly suited to them (which they are) I also saw an AMAZING Fitzsimmons edit on it once, and that now lives rent-free in my head, along with the stirring and fantastic song itself.
Perfect by Ed Sheeran - this song is probably the most romantic love song I've ever heard, and nothing short of perfect (😝) for any OTP.
Birds by Imagine Dragons - getting angstier here, but this song captures the pain of everything Fitz and Jemma have gone through exquisitely well, and how they still keep hoping they'll find each other again.
Work Song by Hozier - c'mon, you can't have a halfway decent playlist without a Hozier song on it, and this one, especially the part where he sings about how no grave can hold him back from his love, just seems very Fitzsimmons to me.
Please Don't Say You Love Me by Gabrielle Aplin - this is one of those songs that make me think of a very specific time period in FS's history; namely, in season 2, when Fitz had confessed his feelings to Jemma, but she isn't sure how she feels yet, and just doesn't want things to change. Also, Iain de Caestecker is in the music video, and, come on, you don't get much better for FS feels than that! 😝😍
No Light, No Light by Florence + the Machine - another time-specific one, and another SUPER angsty one. To me, there's no song that captures post-Framework Fitzsimmons better, especially the part where she sings about no light in his bright blue eyes. 💔
The Scientist by Coldplay - the last one on my list, and maaaaybe a bit of an obvious choice, lmao, but still one that I think fits them regardless. It's full of heartbreak ("no-one ever said it would be this hard") and also the haunting, sincere wish to "Oh, take me back to the start // I was just guessing at numbers and figures // Pulling the puzzles apart // Questions of science, science and progress // Do not speak as loud as my heart." And I'm just like... damn. Everything about it - lyrics, title, tune - just SCREAMS Fitzsimmons, and I love it.
Right, my dear Secret Santa, I hope you liked this somewhat long and rambly, but hopefully very Fitzsimmons-y and wonderful answer! I, too, cannot believe we're this close to the end (and more than a little pleased to meet a fellow procrastinator writing-wise 🤣✋). With a couple more days to go (AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, indeed) HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! 🥰🥰🥰

2020 in review
I was tagged by @apeironaxiomaton to look back at 2020 and pretty much to try and not hate it so much! Thank you!!
Also I’m stealing the idea of putting everything under a cut, which I have never done in my life (and probably should start doing) bc it makes things neat as heck. Almost none of these are in a particular order.
Top 5 movies I saw this year:
Volevo Nascondermi by Giorgio Diritti - this movie is REALLY good AND I have good memories tied to the protagonist for Reasons I’m gonna cry bye (a shame that I’ve only watched this other excellent movie starring Elio Germano tonight bc it should be on this list)
Emma (2020)
The King’s Speech
Spirited Away or Porco Rosso - I had watched the first before and never the second so I think the fairer choice would be Porco Rosso but I’m not entirely convinced of it
The Wolf of Wall Street - look, I simply have a weak spot for stories that are so absurd they can be nothing but real (see “the other Elio Germano movie”)
Top 5 TV shows I watched this year:
Murdoch Mysteries - it will stay engraved in the first place of EVERY chart in saecula saeculorum and NO nothing can take its place I don’t care
Peaky Blinders
Alias Grace - which I was sure was a movie? I was so shocked to discover it isn’t like was it really six hours long what the
The Queen’s Gambit
Suburra: Blood on Rome - “The series was developed by Daniele Cesarano and Barbara Petronio for Netflix, making it its first Italian-language original television series.” I’ll be honest, some bits were a little bit hmm-inducing. Not the best tv series I’ve ever seen, but it managed to be fun and easy to watch. Suspenseful even!
Top 5 Songs:
So there’s a reason why Spotify said I’m an octogenarian this year and for as much as I complain about it... it’s right... Spotify’s right. And it will only get worse, I’m afraid. All the songs are from the same playlist which was my most listened to (and is the most interesting to share imo). I swear I have listened to other, newer things as well.
Shake That Thing by The Abe Lyman’s California Orchestra
Night Hawk Blues by The Coon-Sander’s Nighthawk Original Orchestra
Where the Sweet Forget-Me-Nots Remember by Merle Johnston and His Ceco Couriers (I’ve loved these flowers since I was a kid it was so nice to find a song with them in the title!!)
Dew Dew Dewey Day by Nat Shilkret
The Panic is On by Mezz Mezzrow And His Swing Band
Top 5 Books I Read This Year:
so this is embarrassing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I “bought” an insane amount of books and read a grand total of...like...t w o. It was actually like four and some short stories (which I hated and are therefore banished from the good boy list) so I’m gonna list my silly little titles and make my silly little comments about them all. From “””””best””””” to “worst” we have:
The Adventures of a Modest Man by Robert W. Chambers - I literally cannot shut up about this book and, yes, it is the one tied to this illustration, about which I equally cannot shut up about. It’s so horrible that it makes a 360 and comes back as good, but not before hitting you with a cardboard tube for a laugh and subsequently stabbing you in the kidneys just because it can. I think we can confidently state that we are in the “I didn’t say it was good, I said I liked it” realm. I have so many questions about this book. Why was it written? Was it taking itself seriously? Was it commissioned by someone? Why is it so gay but only if you know that the author is a man? Maybe it’s a parody? Was it an experiment made by the author to test his own skill? I know jack about literature, unfortunately, so grain of salt here but it made me feel strong feels. Not that I could identify any of them if you asked, but they’re definitely there.
Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot - I’m counting this in bc what is a book if not a patchwork of silly little paragraphs anyway so yes, we have a collection of poems. Not only do I know jack about literature; as a matter of fact, I know jack about poetry as well! All I’m gonna say is: I like cute things, I like cats, the poems were cute AND about cats. I really liked it! I often find myself going back and reading again specific parts just for the delight it is to read them out loud! I also may or may not have named the cats you can adopt in Stardew Valley after some of Eliot’s cats. The movie Cats (2019) did one good thing: making me read this.
How You Can Keep Fit by Rudolph Valentino - Yes, that is correct. A book on fitness written (in English!) by silent movie superstar Rodolfo Valentino. It is less than 100 pages on real, actual exercises that the reader can replicate in the comfort of their own house with little to no equipment. With a sprinkle of old timey manly manner of speaking, a few anecdotes from the author’s childhood in ye merry Italian countryside, a dusting of precious advice against ice-cream, and a dash of genuine intrigue for these newly discovered “vitamins” everyone is talking about. Overall a fascinating read that I treasure dearly! Valentino also wrote a book of poems, which I am absolutely thrilled to read this year.
For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway - Hmm.. I have mixed feelings about this one. Whenever the original language of a book is English, I instinctively want to read it in that language. Because I can! And because that way I get to read exactly what the author wrote. If it was another language, I’d get a translation, make peace with the fact that selling my soul to acquire perfect knowledge of all things is morally questionable, and call it a day. Problem: I’m a sucker for old books. And old books I did find indeed. There were three books by Hemingway for sale, very pretty, and for an almost symbolic price too so I bought them. They are Italian translations from the late 50s and my plan was to go through one in Italian, one in English, and after that, decide in which language to read the last one. I believe it was a mistake for me to start with Italian in Hemingway’s case. He’s known for having a very, VERY peculiar style that is integral to how the novels are perceived and I feel like I've robbed myself of literal peace of mind. For as much as I found the story interesting, I could not ignore the voice in the back of my head that kept wondering “was it necessary to render it like this?”. It did make me feel feels and think thoughts, but honestly? It was partially for the wrong reasons imo. It’s one of those books you should read at least once in your life, I guess, so I’m definitely glad I did it! Surprisingly, it captured me more than I expected and trapped me into its little world. I could clearly imagine the scenes in my head, which hadn’t happened in years! I’m really excited to move on to the next two books and finally be able to say if I appreciate his style or not.
Top 5 positive things that happened to me in 2020:
Visited Rome and took a stroll around on my own (sort of) for the first time in my life. I had never seen it at night :) Right after that I celebrated my birthday and got some cute gifts, including sweets that were sent all the way from Australia!!
Managed to buy my mom a gift, which is possibly the only real Accomplishment of 2020.
Took a bizarre trip this summer (I know, guilty) and fell in love with Slovenia
Discovering I like textile arts kinda gave me hope for myself and for the future. I say kinda for I dare not think concretely of anything too positive lest it should be prematurely taken from me. I shan’t elaborate. It is what it is.
Therapy!!!
The last few months of 2020 really hit me hard whereas in the beginning nothing was too bad so it was nice to see the list growing and growing! So many tiny good things happened and it’s worth to cling onto them. I’m tagging @sonicysuchillydog, @nurmilintunen, @alfonzone and anyone else who’d like to participate!! “Tell them I sent you” lol. Guys.............if you don’t feel like going thru your 2020 feel free to ignore bc......I get it............................

Dude.
Tumblr media
Over 10,000 Hits 🎉
I am alarmed, I have been alarmed from the start.
This is still a celebration post, but unlike my unashamed Nightdreams celebration post, this one is an unashamed reflection celebration post 🌱.  On something I’ve spent quite a bit of effort and time on, whether I actually finish this story or not (lol I will), it’s a story to be proud of.  And it’s something I’d like to articulate my feelings on before I end it for good 🎀.
Below the cut is a very long trash love letter 💌 to myself and anyone who’d like a peek at my narcissism.  I am a slut for self-reflection.
Ahead of that, thank you for enjoying my stuffs everyone 💝.
I often think to write for myself and for fun, that no one else will love my fic more than me or have more fun than me...  That’s idealistic.  That’s a mindset to keep.  Especially as a new fic writer when no one recognized my username, it was a way to keep myself from losing motivation.  May agitosgirl always be my inspiration and role model🙏🏼.
But I wonder how can I return to that mindset in its purest form?  When I wrote It’s No Secret, I was ecstatic to hit 500 views.  I had about 5 readers who motivated me with their comments, and it was all very precious.  And It’s No Secret continues to be my favorite fic even though it’s far from my tightest writing.  (Isn’t it because I actually wrote that one just for myself?  Comments and kudos were all just bonus points.)
White Lilies is probably one of my least favorite stories.  If I were to rank my fics in order of preference, it would be near the bottom.  If I were to rank my fics in order of “fics I’d like NarutoDays (DAYS8) to be remembered for,” White Lilies would not be at the top, either.  I almost dislike that White Lilies is the story that caught people’s attention.
The best entertainment to me is inconsequential shows like HGTV, Say Yes to the Dress, and sparkly shoujo manga.  How is it that people don’t feel the same way??? lol jk
But to persevere in a story, that is a part of growth as a fic writer, too.  And to write for others’ enjoyment more than my own, that’s not a bad thing, even though I felt more stress...
OH but those White Lilies arts are certainly my faves.  Gorgeous and very good.  Yes.  Amazing on all accounts.  I wonder if I would have kept writing without them.    No?  Probably no, right?  Yeah, I would have stopped.  Since I started the story to just scratch the itch “Medicine” gave me.  Once that mosquito bite faded around chapter 3, I was ready to move on.  But now, very tangibly, other people I admire very much in the fandom spent actual time and effort in creating lovely pieces for the story.  I was blessed and that’s not something to ignore.  I mean, I could have.  At the most, that would just be disappointing.  At the least, White Lilies would be another hiatus fic in my list.
Jeez, but it would be even more hypocritical to not acknowledge that the attention was very nice.  I can go so far as to say that I expected someone to keep giving me the affirmation that this junk was good since I wasn’t giving myself any kick of enjoyment.  Is that still dishonest.  I think I told a reader of White Lilies that I don’t ask people for comments or kudos.  That’s true, I don’t ask.  But I’ve expected it for White Lilies for the past few chapters.  Ew.  That’s gross Days, I hate that.  What if I closed comments on the last chapter of White Lilies.  That might be good.  Well I don’t have a good enough reason to do that.
I wonder if that’s why I dislike White Lilies.  Not for its angst.  Not for its difficult feelings and its difficult romance...well, actually, no, I dislike White Lilies for those reasons.  But on top of those things, the story has altogether gone against my foundation and motivation in fic writing.  Did I have fun.  ?  The comment section at the beginning was very stressful.  OMG no I shall never forget that one reader who got way too emotional about the story and made my comment section such a mess!  Why didn’t that reader put their little comments into one big comment.  For real.  Plus, it was an anon reader.  Don’t anonymous readers need to put their email address in every time they comment?  How humbug is that?  My goodness.
Oh ho ho nooooo that one reader who freaking told me to fix my writing using Grammarly.  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.  AHHHHHHHHHH.  AHHHHHHHHHH
...
So after that when I moderated the comments, I actually started to enjoy reading comments again.  Huh.  SO ACTUALLY when did I finally not feel anxiety anymore about the comment section.  Not until Chapter 5?  But that was the chapter I wasn’t happy with and ended up revising the ending after I published it.
I mean to tell myself that it’s only this most recent Chapter 6 that I felt good and normal and 安心 and ホッとしている to update.  I’m not kidding myself, what I terrible thing to realize now.  No wonder I dislike White Lilies.  The overall experience has not been that great.
Well “great” is too general a way to describe writing this story.  There’s been many wonderful things.  The new attention and recognition and compliments and gratitude were amazing.  The art.  The playlist.  The funny reader impatience in the asks 👏🏼.
OOOOOOOh the Bookmark summaries!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂.  I love these too much.  These summaries give me life.  White Lilies in a nutshell.
Ahh yeah.  So funny.  Those are so good.  gogohai been making me laugh since August.
Remember at the start, I was so confused by the hit count on chapter 1 🤔.  I thought it was a bunch of antis accidentally clicking in, or SasuNaru fans or something, so I made those notes at the top that clearly stated how I’m not anti-NH.  It turns out everyone’s masochists for angst lol.
Anyway, I know I’ll finish this story.  What a strange feeling.  I think it must be because I worked so hard through the slumps already between Chapter 3 & 4, and Chapter 4 & 5, and Chapter 5 & 6, I know Chapter 7 will certainly happen, too.  How nice.
You know, White Lilies, it is what it is.  I have desensitized from mean comments.  Like, I think comments can’t hurt me anymore.  I’ll just be like 🤷🏻‍♀️ in response.  The attention on this story boosted my ego so much that I now know without a doubt that my writing is good enough and anyone who tells me otherwise can go ahead bumbai get bachi.
That’s really good.  For how unenjoyable it has been at many times, I have definitely sacrificed “fun” for “the sense of accomplishment,” and it’s not wrong or less valuable to spend my free time seeking accomplishment and completion in something so inconsequential as fanfiction.
However this story flipped my sense of purpose in writing, where accomplishment became tied to reader feedback.  Accomplishment usually ties to my sense of fun and enjoyment.  Instead I’ve been seeking that sense of fun in the readers, whether through their own personal enjoyment or through the number of comments/kudos/likes/reblogs.  How boring is that?  Ah!  Very boring.  It’s not wrong to seek validation through the readers.  Many writers and artists want their work to be seen and enjoyed by many because the act of sharing is in itself joyful.  Fine.  Haven’t I just found this a very tiring way to go about posting my stuff.
I am nostalgic for my mentality of two years ago.
It’ll be good to finish White Lilies.  The excitement will be done and over with certainly, and this same amount of attention will never happen again.  As one of the nerdiest nerds in one of the nerdiest corners of nerdy fandom called Fanfiction, it’s a privilege to have my imagination on so many other people’s browser, to transport so many people away from their real life problems to fake problems instead lol, and to participate in an exchange of ideas with other writers and artists in the Naruto fandom.  What a great thing!
It’ll be even better to focus completely on stuff that I actually like, though, won’t it 💖.

How did you make your edits for the Austin Moon stuff?
hello bobby lol thank you for the ask!!! um my explaination is going to lack technical terms because i kind of just go with whatever looks right as i edit (hence some inconsistencies) but hopefully this makes sense.
to start: i do all the editing on my phone with the apps pixlr and proknockout. both are free, though they have a quite a bit of ads—they get the job done. additionally, all the original photos either came from ross lynch’s or laura marano’s instagram or a lot of google searching for the perfect picture
now the concepts for the playlists as fake albums came from me rewatching austin & ally this year and being like “wHAT HAPPENED IN THE TIME SKIP???” yknow those years between ally giving austin her book and them being on the helen show? yeah. i was like “what happened?!? i need to know” and originally i was thinking of a fic but i started also getting into the driver era and thus i thought up “what if like... austin moon had other albums?!” cos we kind of just know of his first album in canon. and then it extended to “hOLY MOLY WHAT ABOUT THEIR DUO ALBUM?!?” anyways that’s way more backstory so onto the edits
WiLdHeArT
Tumblr media
okay so this was the simplest of the edits. basically i took this photo:
Tumblr media
cropped it into a square, played around with some of the exposure and such to make ross look less washed out, and then rotated the image and put some text over it. the font is provided with pixlr and i chose it because it conveys how i’d kind of imagine austin moon’s handwriting. the “album” itself was meant to have a very personal/authentic aspect so i thought it fit.
for the back cover/track listing, i took this photo:
Tumblr media
and used proknockout to crop out ross. then in pixlr, i layered it over a solid background, with some rotation. add some filters, played with lighting, then blurred the whole image before adding the text on top. definitely one of the more rushed back cover edits.
ECLIPSE
Tumblr media
okay so i had fun with this! the front cover comes from this original photo from some magazine shoot the driver era did (i think it was MOOD but i can’t remember)
Tumblr media
this “album” was intended to capture a darker side to austin moon’s music and i really love ross’ harley hair so i had to go with brunet ross lynch. in pixlr i cropped to a square, did a lot of filtering to have cooler tones (matching the darker feel of the playlist) and then played with a filter that adjusts texture. after that, i layered the image over itself with adjustments to size and position to get that distorted effect. then i added the font and such lol
for the back cover the original came from pexels which is a royalty/copyright free image site
Tumblr media
basically to match the title i wanted to utilize an eclipse image. i played around a lot with how i wanted the track listing to be. eventually i figured it out, put the text down with pixlr, and then played with filter and exposure and such to get the bluish glow that matches the front cover edit along with a warmer tone for the background. then i used a filter that inverted the colors to get the contrasting blue-black side. then i used proknockout’s collage option to put the two together—kind of to convey the crossing-paths aspect of an eclipse.
last step was going back into pixlr and if you look closely, it’s not just a solid background. it actually has several lines of the text “there’s no way i could make it without you do it without you be here without you” which is an oblivious reference to the austin & ally theme song. it’s meant (in this au of sorts) to be austin giving recognition to ally’s impact in his life and career on an album that marks a step away from his past. ANYWAYS! the text just has very very low opacity to make it blend better.
where you are
Tumblr media
this one i think i had the most fun and the most trouble with because i could NOT find a nice image of both ross and laura. thus i had to search to find the right images. bc tumblr is limiting me to 10 images total on this, i’m only including one of the two images of laura i used. they’re both from the same photo shoot and screenshots from one of her recent instagram posts. the images of ross/base photos for the edits came from the driver era instagram.
okay so front cover edit took this phot of laura:
Tumblr media
and used proknockout to crop her out of the background. then i used pixlr to layer it into this image of ross to kind of make it appear as if she’s standing behind the piano:
Tumblr media
which you can see in the final edit! then i layered black squares, erasing majority of their inside, to get those black frames throughout the edit. finally i added text. originally I had a logo concept for austin & ally but then thought the simple font looked much better for the concept of the album—which was meant to convey their maturity as artists. also played around with the coloring and shadows and exposure.
finally for the back cover, i cropped this image (sorry rocky):
Tumblr media
and used proknockout to take an image of laura sitting and layer it onto the driver era image. then i played with some exposure and filters to get laura’s lighting to match that of the original image. after realising the pic of laura was way higher in quality than ^this, i blurred it A LOT. then i used the same technique with the black squares, only this time lowering the opacity a bit. then i went with a font that was a bit more playful to set up the track listing. “two in a million” was left as a bonus track since it’s not on the playlist because it’s not on spotify.
and yeah! that’s how the edits were done! they were honestly a lot of fun and sparked by the playlists i made towards the beginning of this year. they all had a few different versions LOL but anyways, thank you for asking! i had fun sharing and i hope you enjoyed the playlists, the edits, and/or this explaination! sorry it’s not too technical!

Moth Work Intro + False Idol | Writing Update
Hey People of Earth!
Today I thought I’d do a writing update on a project I’ve mentioned a lot in my vlogs but haven’t mentioned as of yet on here! This is a personal ‘passion project’ that I’ve been picking away at since January and have recently taken on as my transition project from Rewired to my next book.
Tumblr media
So yee! MOTH WORK (or ‘boys on a boat’ for those who keep up with the vlogs lols) has been my current project for the last few weeks since finishing REWIRED. I didn’t really mean to expand it as much as I have as it simply started off as a spinoff story of my boys Lonan and Harrison which I write every few months when I’m having a breakdown and need something to cheer me up. :-)
I’ve mentioned a few of these stories in the past (like Fishbowl and Mandarin), though this story is a bit different, as I’ve expanded it quite a lot more than I intended to! If you aren’t super caught up with Rewired, I’d definitely scroll through a few of my last updates so this one will make more sense!
What’s it about?
Moth Work is a FOSTERED spinoff story following Lonan and Harrison (dumb+dumber) at the peak of their relationship. I *was saying* that the plot went loosely as follows: after finding a photograph of a woman in Lonan’s father’s dark room, they set out to find her, HOWEVER, because I never stick to plans, I have yet to follow through with this main plot thread, lol. Vaguely, I’d just say the most important part of this story is their relationship at its most fragile because who is plot I don’t know her.
Moth Work follows the events after REWIRED, and is a bit of a bridge between it and the next book. This makes it kind of hard to explain because a) it’s in a different POV, and b) context, but hopefully that makes sense! In essence: Lonan + Harrison’s relationship is big sad and Harrison tries to make it less big sad and it gets even more big sad.
I’ll share a very quick profile of both of the boys so there’s some context for the following excerpts I’ll share!
Harrison
My boy
Generally very outgoing, tho around Lonan this fizzles. Only wants the best for Lonan despite their history. He’s the ‘main’ narrator of the piece (third limited to him though I’m guilty of head hopping lol), so the work has a softer tone than I’m used to. Though Harrison tries to be a Macho Man, around Lonan he’s most himself--mellow, a lil stupidly romantic, and vulnerable.
Lonan
My problematic son/probably should be cancelled
The “issue” in the relationship loool. He’s emotionally immature and lacks accountability, but because of his past, lacks the ability to recognize these faults and work on them. Because of this, he’s fundamentally stayed the same for the last few works he’s been in (if not gotten worse). Lonan requires a lot of emotional assistance, though he isn’t self-aware enough to recognize this. This is often the cause of much conflict.
Conception:
Like I mentioned, I often write short spinoff stories following these boys because it’s a safe happy place for when I’m feeling stressed. This is basically how this piece started, though I’ve continued it for different reasons which I’ll get into. I don’t remember how the first scene was brainstormed, but I do know when I started writing this a few months ago, I wanted it to be a lot longer than my previous stories--a place where I could just dump my writing, even when it wasn’t good. I think I did this to cope with the stress of my writing class honestly, lol, I think I needed a break from ‘serious’ writing AKA a place I could just goof off and have some fun.
The writing bit:
Writing this story has been a bit inconsistent. I’ve been drafting it in little pieces since the beginning of the year, and only recently picked it up as more of a ‘full-time’ work. This is subject to change depending on whether or not I get more of book 7 done. I’ve gone from writing 20 words a day to 0 to 1000--there’s really no consistency with the drafting process here.
I have recently decided that I’ll most likely expand this into either a novella or novel itself because there is literally so much tea left to explore and it’s surpassed 10k words. Drafting Moth Work has been so helpful in easing me back into the world of FOSTERED and piecing together the huge time gap from the end of book 6 to the start of book 7. I’ve been a bit anxious to really dive into book 7 for the fear of the unknown, so inching myself closer to that timeline through this project has been very helpful!
The editing bit:
I recently did an edit around the line level for this entire piece (it’s about 12k words right now) because a) it really needed it b) I was losing steam/starting to get embarrassed and c) I needed a refresher of what had happened because je suis tres forgetful. This edit made me feel so much better about the project. It initially started off as a work where the writing didn’t actually matter and this mentality was working until I got so embarrassed of the prose I found it difficult to read through old scenes to refresh myself and thus couldn’t productively draft.
This project isn’t written exactly in my usual style--it’s pretty stripped back and actually reminds me a lot of how my style would’ve been in book 3 had I been a better writer four years ago lol. I think the looser style works for the voice/the story itself but I def wouldn’t categorize this as litfic (what I usually write). Although the prose isn’t very complex, it took me a really long time to get comfortable enough to edit?? But once I got into the rhythm of it a few days ago, I completed the edit fairly quickly, and I’m 100% feeling better about the project overall! Though the prose is still not my top priority I’m not as embarrassed of it currently lols.
I also divided the project into chapters because it was getting pretty long to just be one mass of text. I currently have 3 chapters. This update will cover chapter 1.
Playlist:
Yo this is literally the best part of writing this project, lol, I get to listen to so much different music?? I’ve made a comprehensive playlist for this story with a character by character breakdown (if anyone wants to see that/highlights, let me know!). This playlist pulls from every song from my library, so we span genres and artists like crazy. Nothing But Thieves has been the primary artist for this story (specifically their self-titled album). These songs (all NBT oop) are the most relevant if you want to get the general tone lol (anything with a star has explicitly inspired the project):
Excuse Me*
Honey Whiskey*
Tempt You (Evocatio)*
If I Get High (II)
Gods
Lover, Please Stay*
I Was Just A Kid*
Get Better
Hell, Yeah*
Afterlife
Reset Me
Particles
Sorry
Number 13
Excerpts:
I don’t have *many* because prose hasn’t really been a top priority for this project, but I’ll try to include at least one per scene.
Tumblr media
This is one of the opening paragraphs from chapter one which I’ve titled ‘False Idol’. In short, the chapter follows the boys first attempting to destroy the dark room and then getting distracted and eventually not pulling through after Harrison finds a picture of Ominous Lady.
The chapter’s chronology is wild so we can break it up as follows:
Scene A
The boys enter the dark room with the intention of burning it down
Harrison reaches for his lighter and drops it which prompts him to find the photograph of Ominous Lady
Him and Lonan mildly argue about Ominous Lady until Lonan takes it too seriously and throws a tantrum :-DD
Scene B
Not really a full scene, just a bridge between scene A and C.
Harrison has been waiting for Lonan to return to their campsite for the entire day and he decides to at the very last moment
“hey so i’m unable to apologize for anything but also! cigarette! let’s share it! lungs!”
Scene C
The boys exercising their canoeing skills
This leads us to our first “beat”.
Lonan interrupts Harrison’s peaceful evening by having a mild crisis
This takes place right after the events of Lolita, Lolita (chapter 16 of REWIRED). We then jump back to the fictive present.
This alternates like 5 more times lol then the chapter is done!
The following excerpt describes their entry into the dark room. Don’t know how smart it is to be smoking in a room full of highly flammable material but we out here.
I don’t think she’s particularly special but I also don’t hate her so!! hoping an aesthetic photo will make it read better :’)) I ! don’t ! think ! it does ! but !
Tumblr media
Harrison shoulders the door first, traps it open with the clip of his boot. Dust and streaks of light rake behind him as he pushes through cardboard boxes, mountains of photo paper on the ground. Lonan follows silently, still wearing Harrison’s jacket. Trails of smoke from his cigarette catch in the negatives hanging by the clothespins, chemical peel between the layers of ink. In one hand he tends to his cigarette, and in the next, lugs in the canister of gasoline they found in the cabin’s cellar. As Harrison fumbles for his flashlight, Lonan sets it down by the table so it sloshes like the Pacific.
This is a bit of when Harrison finds the photograph of Ominous Lady:
Tumblr media
He turns the photograph over, and shines the flashlight on it. It’s scratched and developed wrong, little bits of orange obscuring the woman’s face, but it’s very much a woman. A dark bob and bangs in her eyes, jewelry hanging from her septum. Sunshades enough to reflect the European street behind her. The discreet jet of ink on her skin, blues and greens peeking out from under her sleeve. Izzy, he recognizes. Lonan’s mother.
Nudging Lonan with an elbow, “I didn’t know your mom has tattoos.”
Lonan takes the photograph cautiously, holding it by the corners like it’ll burn him. His brow trembles, but it takes him only seconds to say, “That’s not my mom.” He takes the flashlight from Harrison and examines it closer, fingers nimble and tracing the edges. In the grey light of the dark room, he looks nullified. Just a monochromatic hum of chromosomes and skin.
that’s not my MOM
After the boys find the photograph, Lonan gets triggered at Harrison’s suggestion to find the woman (he presumes her to be someone involved with his father) and promptly has a tantrum and exits. This leads us into the next scene where the boys! actually! get! on! boat! In this scene Lonan tries to say sorry for his tantrum by offering Harrison a cigarette (lol) and because Harrison is hopelessly romantic and also hopelessly dumb, says yeeeees sir! They go for a canoe ride on the water. Thought it was going to be sweet, ended up being a shitstorm but!
This paragraph is kind of toast but:
The canoe isn’t hard to get into the water. After a few nudges from the dock into the slow dip of tide, it stabilizes easily. Harrison is convinced it will capsize but Lonan knows it won’t. They take one ore each, and ignore the life jackets at the back of the shed.
The moon is large and mesmerizing. As Harrison and Lonan take turns pushing the canoe into the water, mast first, then its entire belly, it colours them silver. Lonan’s protected the cigarette in the pocket of his shirt. Harrison stares at its faint outline stretched under the fabric. Lonan steps into the canoe first, rocking with the current, and extends a hand for Harrison. He pulls him in and they row until the cabin is the size of a fingernail, the wave steady and dense. Each cut of the paddle feels like plunging a scalpel into flesh and Harrison watches Lonan do it easily. In the distance, the cabin doesn’t look so menacing. Reeve has left the lamp on by the loft, and it glimmers back like an eyeball, effervescent and tiny. Nothing but a reflective penny in the distance.
Here’s some Harrison being lame:
Tumblr media
The water laps at the base of the canoe, and Ris reaches over and touches it like it’s holy. He makes the sign of the cross and it feels perverse, cold water dripping from forehead to chin.
For a while it’s quiet. Just the distant hum of crickets, the slash of the paddle, and the off-chance flash of something in the distance; an animal, a flashlight. Ris tries not to think about Lonan’s dad, like a dead man slithering through the water, following their boat. He picks at a saltine, sucks it between his tongue meditatively. Against the sky, Lonan is backlit and lovely and flecks of his hair peek up from around the jacket’s collar. Harrison wonders if as a child, everyone said he looked just like his father.
On top of lacking accountability, Lonan is also a professional canoeist so he takes over while Harrison eats saltines and reminisces about an encounter they had weeks prior. This leads into the solid chunk of backstory that I weirdly jump in an out of for the entire chapter. :)
Backstory consists of drunk Lonan having a crisis while Harrison tries to have a peaceful evening of taping up his drawings to his bedroom ceiling. The following excerpt describes the moment right after Lonan enters the room.
Harrison’s lips secured around his cigarette, his hand mid-air with packing tape and line drawings of the moon. A tinny country song dribbled through the radio. The minute-meal he’d heat up in the microwave lying forgotten and cold on his desk. Harrison set the pile of drawings down and turned off the music.
“Emily left?” Lonan asked. He kept his face upward, stared clumsily at the ceiling. Harrison watched his eyes trace the new drawings, following the uncalculated pattern.
This paragraph is made up of 5 similes and this is the only reason I’m sharing it :)))):
Lonan has stopped paddling. The canoe sits in the middle of the lake, lifeless, like a bone in the water. He’s turned so Harrison can see him in profile, and Ris can’t tell if it’s relieving or worrying to see his face. Lonan’s jaw is taut, like there are words he wants to say there but can’t. Filling up the hollow bone. He blinks slowly, like he’s trying to re-centre himself, his chest quivering with breaths meant to steady him. The water laps at the base of the canoe, whirling. Dark hair tangles down his cheeks like the fingers of a poltergeist.
I think that’s a pretty good way to end this post lol! How many similes have you put in one paragraph? What’s your record lol this is probably mine!
Hope y’all enjoy the intro to MOTH WORK. I have two other chapters already written which I’ll update on in a separate post! For now I hope you like this more laid back project, let me know what you think!

10 Songs I’m Currently Obsessed With
Tagged by: @geekgoddess813
I love music, and my favorites are always changing and shifting and what not lol  SOOOOOOOO... if I’ve been tagged in this once, I can do it again pretty much any other time cause it’ll likely always have a bit of difference xD
I’ll link to each song so if you feel like it, you can take a listen! Aaaand of course don’t feel like you have to read every mini paragraph of mine LOL
These are in no particular order~
1: Hate Me- Blue October
The first time I heard this song it honestly brought me to tears.  Now my favorite version of this song is an acoustic version that I’ve only managed to hear on Pandora, but I will gladly listen to -any- version of this song.  Blue October is a very special group to me, and this song especially hits me really hard, not necessarily for the exact things he’s singing about, but it hits a lot of things I’ve struggled with and thought.  It’s one of the songs that is going to forever and ever be on my sona’s playlist.
2: Change (In the House of Flies)- Deftones
So I’ve always love love LOVED this song.  Like Hate Me, it makes me feel -very- emotional, this is the song I’m reeeeeally working on doing a solo for because the best way to do a solo is to find a song that just... makes you feel so much you feel it overflowing.  It’s also one of the songs I didn’t even think twice before throwing into the playlist of angsty goodness for one of @prettyprompto and I’s current RPs LOL  But yeah, it’s a really good song, and I’ve always just been extremely drawn to it.
3: Elastic Heart- (Rock Cover) Written by Wolves
Okay... I’m a SIA whore, but it’s seriously because of this cover of this song.  As much as I love the original, to me, this version specifically really conveys this feeling of like, easy easy easy POW.  Like I adore how you get the verses, and you just get duder singing and it’s like “oh this is alright” and then suddenly you find yourself with eyeliner pouring down your eyes shouting “WELL I’VE GOT THICK SKIN AND AN ELASTIC HEART” right there with him while the guitars and drums kick the fuck up and AH <3  Just a great cover in my opinion!
4: Gods & Monsters- Jessica Lange
Ever since I performed in my local vaudeville and one of our guys dressed as bride of Frankenstein and performed this, I -loved- it.  The performance itself was just... gorgeous.  I would share it if I could, but I don’t have permission from the performer and stuff x’D  This version especially I adore.  It has this air of mystery that the original just doesn’t... and in my honest opinion, it sounds so much less try hard and forced edge.  The words they used to replace some of the original lyrics just... flows a lot better to me!  Props to that beautiful smokey voice Jessica Lange possesses that I wish I could match ;v;
5: Boom- iBenji
Okay so one of my belly girls and I have been dancing to this for MONTHS, we’re getting ready to do our second performance to this piece (after adding a third person to it too :D)  and well... what’s the significance of that?  WELL... when you’re performing a dance to a piece... you listen to it multiple times, I’ve probably easily listened to the 2 and a half minute cut of this the goils and I are doing at least 300 times now and I tell you........ somehow I am not at all tired of it.  This song is so fucking powerful, and I just can’t help but feel like a badass and bounce around to it whenever I hear it~
6: Hold My Heart- Lindsey Stirling feat. ZZ Ward
So if someone asked me what Iggy and Ashe’s song would be.... well I’d have two answers for yah honestly!  One of them would be Fallen Angel from Panty and Stocking, but the other one is this, because this encapsulates the person Ashe was eeeearly early on in the relationship (little miss I DON’T NEED YOU CAUSE I’M STRONG but I guess like... it would be nice to like... have someone to love and love me back...?)
7: Butterfly- Bassnectar feat. Mimi Page
I love the feeling of wonder mixed with power in this one.  I always feel like I’m being swept away on a magical and colorful adventure when I hear this.  I often find myself picking it up when I start a new drawing or stream (or drawing stream lol).  Great song for veil, that’s actually how I discovered this song!  A gal did a dance to this with isis wings that looked like butterfly wings and it was instant love~
8: Careless Whisper- Seether
Ever since I heard Sexy Saxophone Guy, I was like “Oh... this song will never be sexy~” HAAAAAHAHAHAHA boy was I wrong...
Now look, I’m not the biggest fan of Seether.  Sometimes I like him, sometimes I can’t mash the skip button fast enough, but you can pretty much always bet as soon as I hear the intro to this, I’ll be whipping out a chair and going FULL FUCKING DIVA QUEEN MODE.  Also great whenever I need to write something... *ahem*... spicy~
9: Opera 2- Vitas
Okay look, I see Vitas getting a loooooooooot of shit cause of the 7th element song thing and they just kind of assume that all that happens when he hits the stage is he bobs around and makes a bunch of noise (which I’m sorry, have you ever tried to get up and make the noises with the pitch and control he does?! -hard cough- /end rant), but Opera 2 is the first song I ever heard of his and you can bet I was COMPLETELY blown away.  His voice was so otherworldly to me and spine chillingly clear.  I can see why he’s not a lot of people’s tastes, but hoooooooooly shit, I love this song, and I wish more people knew about it and knew how incredibly talented Vitas is.  5 Octaves of range man ._.
10: I Am The Highway- Audioslave
This song... helped me put a lot behind me and be okay.  My cousin actually commissioned me to make her a poster based on this song so I’ve been listening to it a looooooooot lately, which I’m totally okay with because despite the things I associate it with, I adore it.  It weighs so much heavier with Chris Cornell being gone now... but this song hasn’t been absent from my ipod/iphone for over 10 years...
Tagging: (Feel free to ignore this if you’ve already done it or don’t feel like it or whatever)

Writer Questions
Technically I was tagged in this by @smartcookie727 lol Not sure if being tagged in an answer counts. But also given that the actual words for the I’ll Tag section are “if ya wanna do it go for it,” I’m gonna avoid my responsibilities and sleep and do it.
1) How many works in progress do you currently have?
Is this like multi-chapter type things that are currently being written and shared? Or like, things I’m working on but haven’t been shared yet? Imma go with the first. I got four. On the Gajevy front we got Kingdom. On the Sheith front we got I’ll Take the Blame, You Take My Conscience; For the Love of Football does this really count since its a series of one shots i dont even know whatever counting it; and Vector to the Stars. PEEP THAT HORRIBLE EXCUSE AT SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION Y’ALL. dont worry i hate me too lol
2) Do you/would you write fanfiction?
Uuuuuh, yes. Because that’s literally why I’m here lol Writing is kind of my thing? I have a degree in journalism, which I got solely because I thought that that would do better for getting me a job than a degree in creative writing, but would still allow me to write a book. Not, that you need a degree to do that. But when I did decide to try my hand at fan fiction, it was as a vehicle to hone the technical aspect of my writing and my voice, not only for the possibility of publishing one day, but also for my own journalistic writing. SO, to answer this as 21 y/o Vicci who hadn’t yet dipped her toes into the proverbial fan fic pond yet, yes, I would.
3) Do you prefer paper books or ebooks?
PAPER. There is something about good, old fashion paper books. Will I read an ebook? Sure. I read shit on my computer all the time, I got a couple things in iBooks right now. But I will always, ALWAYS go paper over ebook any day.
4) When did you start writing?
Like.... just.... ever? Or for fic? I wrote my first original work in the 6th grade. Still got it too. It’s horrible and has every lame middle school writer thing you can think of down to cross dressing to sneak into a villain’s lair-- TWICE-- dragons because why the hell not, and Egypt. Honestly, 6th grade Vicci was on a whole other level. I’ll have to pull it out some time to get a good laugh, and send myself into a void of embarrassment. no i was actually really proud of that thing. its like 200+ pages handwritten Writing fic, I started five years ago with ye olde 1D fan fiction. The first two were horrendous. To this day, I still cherish Tweethearts.
5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
This is the part where I admit to you that aside from like twice, no one reads my work before I post it. Everything you get goes up un-beta’d. Up until like a month and a half ago, I didn’t even read anything before posting it. I literally added my asterisks at the end and then sent it on its way. Now almost everything gets a read through before I share, but never ever to anyone else. WHY YOU ASK. I did my time with editors with the near decade I wrote for various websites and magazines and I have had my work changed to the point that the entire meaning and feeling behind it was torn away until it wasn’t even what I’d intended in the first place. So I have trust issues with other people getting their hands on my stuff. Long story short, no lol
6) Where is your favorite place to write?
I don’t think I really have one. I do a lot of writing while I’m working, so a lot of it happens at the dining room table lol If not there, in bed. Sometimes the car. Sometimes the shower.
7) Favorite childhood book?
How childhood are we talking? I had a book of old fairy tales haha is spelled it tail the first time rip that had the most beautiful illustrations and I really loved that book. And also A Wish for Wings That Work. ALSO I REALLY LOVED WALK TWO MOONS.
8) Writing for fun or publication?
Fun is my priority right now, but I am writing Vector to the Stars with the intent of possibly editing it into an original work and publishing one day. But I like to think that if I ever do publish something, I wrote it for fun to begin with.
9) Pen and paper or computer?
BOTH. I’ll also take on tablet and phone for $500, Alex. Look, I got my start in handwriting shit and sometimes you just need to feel pen on paper to get the juices flowing. Does it go quicker typing? Yes. Yes it does. But I’m a staunch believer that, much like in life, you sometimes need a change of pace and scenery. Whenever I get stuck, I switch the medium up. So both. All. Whatever.
10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?
My entire college career was a writing class lol That’s a lie, the first year was core classes and the second year I still had to deal with science, but the last year and a half was nothing but writing. Of course, not really the same since it’s a completely different form of writing but you know. IT COUNTS OKAY I HAVE TO TELL MYSELF MY EDUCATION COUNTS FOR SOMETHING.
11) What inspires you to write?
Music. Music, music, always music. There’s a reason I devoted that much of my life to music journalism, and it’s because music is one of the great loves of my life. Sure, I need the inspiration of characters that speak to me, but every single thing that I have written has a soundtrack and music that gets the juices flowing. I dare say 90% of the things I’ve written all were born from music.
EXAMPLES:
Tweethearts came to me while listening to R U Mine? by the Arctic Monkeys. I wrote that chapter-- which happens like more than halfway through the fic-- before I wrote anything else.
ITTB came to me while listening to Eden playlists. To this day I cannot write anything for that fic without putting on my Eden mix.
I’m Gonna Be came to me while I was in the shower listening to Sleeping At Last.
The one shot that became MLC came to me while listening to Walking On Cars, who the band Gajeel travels with is modeled after.
VTTS was born from Glory by Dermot Kennedy also while in the shower.
Pt 3 of the football AU revealed itself during a cover of Call Me Maybe.
Long story short, I am very much inspired by music.
I’ll tag: I’m not sure who has done this so I’m gonna throw folks on here and if y’all just hella don’t want to, it’s the biggest of nbds. IF YOU AREN’T TAGGED BUT WANNA DO THIS, CONSIDER THIS YOUR TAG. @nocturna131 @whereisthefood123 @phaltu @arahir @capaleran2 @ranunculus-fox @runicscribbles

{10 Questions} Meme
Please repost don’t reblog! Tagged by: @thebadsalvatore
What do you do to prepare yourself to write (routines? ambiance?)?
Generally, so long as I’m not mentally or physically exhausted, Faith just sort of writes herself. I have playlists for her, sure, but I tend to just wind her up and let her go. She knows what to do, she doesn’t need me much.
Who is your favorite character to write?
Truth be told, I don’t have much range as a writer. The majority of my muses (Faith, Ruby, Jessica Jones, etc.) are pretty much exact same guy like exact same guy in a lot of ways. Whistler’s a bit different, Negan and my OC, but mostly they’re a pile of Faiths. That being said, Faith is the stand out. She’s been my main muse since her debut and I don’t see us parting company anytime soon.
Is there any tense or POV that you struggle to write?
Not really, but I do have a preference to write in the present tense. That wasn’t always the case, it was done to me by @allroundlostcause (what HASN”T she done to me at this point?) and I find that it gives me more control over the way my words move and shake. More melodic, more poetic without going overboard. I think, for me, that just makes things easier.
What book, series, or author do you always read to inspire or motivate you?
Hmm, I’d say none and all. All, in that I totally crib from every author that I’ve ever loved and none, in that I don’t go to any author to inspire me to write or motivate me. My writing is really an homage to every author I’ve loved, from the way Shel Silverstein and Jack Kerouac turn a phrase, to the way Joss Whedon and Kevin Smith pack emotional punch into incredibly whitty banter. But, just going to an author when I need motivation? Not really my thing.
A favorite moment from one of your pieces (maybe the actual scene itself, or maybe in the way it came to be)?
I kind of loved a fight (we didn’t keep) with @iwannadogirlystuff where Faith threw Buffy through a store window in broad daylight during business hours, lol. Not for the writing, but the funnn. Faith’s reaction to Sam’s first confession of love, which was something like, “What do you think that buys you?” and I still hurt for him over that because it took so much for him to admit it but @samattheend is a trooper and would rather it be right than just flat out get what he wants. Everything from my TVD alt s8 with @allroundlostcause because, to date, nothing in it seems like it wouldn’t be at home on screen and I love screen accuracy -- plus, Hot!Dad!Ric but that’s a whole other story. Basically, I can’t pinpoint one thing *I* wrote, not by myself. My favorite stuff is in collaboration with other writers who I admire and respect.
What are some goals for you & your writing (get published? find your own style?)?
I’ve been published (poetry, in my teens and it was awful) but I don’t really have writing goals that aren’t: 1. Canon as fuck fanwork, 2. Screen accuracy, 3. Crossover bait.
Where’s a setting from either a book you read or a piece you’ve written that you’d love to see in real life?
Any location in Wartown.
Any film adaptations you’d recommend? And/or would you want any of your pieces made into film(s)?
Memoirs of a Geisha is insanely beautiful. Scott Pilgrem is hilarious and 90s as heck. And, no. I like keeping my work all for me, lol.
What was your very first story about?
Oh lordy, can’t remember. Too long ago! Remember, I’m old lol.
Do you have any stories that you love but wouldn’t want to write (and would you want to share anything about them)?
I just don’t wanna do works, lol. Works suck. I just want monies.

The Phoenix Prophecy: Random Thoughts, There’s No Rhyme or Reason to This, Y’All
First up: I swear I will get around to posting pages of Lamenting City on my writing blog again. College + my game design course I’ve been taking on the side + the fact that the floodgates over my poor, poor Fancy kitty won’t stop... It’s been hard.
Anyway, on to the story stuff!
So I’ve decided to have the group meet at some point in the early to mid-80′s, and then join together in like... 1989 or 1990, probably the latter but it’s still pretty close. I’ll adjust their ages if need be, but with this said I’m unsure if the ‘met over the Internet’ backstory still works here. I must confess to not knowing as much about the Internet’s history as I’d like, but even so I don’t think that backstory is really feasible here? Unless, of course, things are different in this alternate timeline and the Internet grew much faster.
At any rate, I have decided that the group meeting was definitely no accident... But I won’t say any further. ;)
The budding game designer in me also can’t resist taking a crack at creating a concept for a Phoenix Prophecy game to work on when I finally can do that, and I think I’ve finally figured out what I’d want from a series like this. For a story originally envisioned as a cartoon, I can’t think of anything better than an episodic adventure game. It may, in fact, be the closest I can ever get to the original cartoon concept (I would love for it to happen, but I also need to be realistic and right now the only surefire things I know I’m gonna do would be write novels and make games...).
One great thing about this, too, is it allows me to tell more stories with these characters. You know, tie-in video games basically. I’d want them to be canon with the books and reference them, and in turn be referenced by them. This way, I really don’t have to scrap any ideas.
Admittedly, I haven’t played a lot of adventure games (...yet), with most that I have played having been mostly kids fare (like a Scooby-Doo! game, fittingly enough for this), but I definitely will be the time I could work on this. So this is something I will continue to work on in my head.
The final thing I’ve been thinking about it is, of course... Music. Making playlists for my stories gives me life, and since I’d like to make games too, knowing what type of style I want is pretty important, too.
I’m gonna need a bit of help, though.
See, I want to do something here that I haven’t done before: Make a playlist or two that sounds like it’d belong in the era this story takes place in. And, well, I haven’t exactly listened to all the 90′s music or 90′s tribute music out there, so there’s undoubtedly gems I’ve missed.
I am making some tiny exceptions to this ‘90′s only’ rule, though. Stuff like synthwave and vaporwave count if they sound sufficiently 90′s enough. I’ve heard synthwave tracks, such as Michael Oakley’s End of Summer, which I consider to be The Phoenix Prophecy’s theme song anyway, and HOME’s vaporwave music always makes me nostalgic for the 90′s, so they count.
Side note: Synthwave really blurs the lines for me sometimes. Some of it sounds like Sega Genesis music, only with better instruments.
In fairness, though, it did take some time for the 90′s to come into its own culturally/pop culturally, so a bit of 80′s stuff won’t kill this playlist and maaaaaaaybe some very early 2000′s stuff since they were basically a continuation of the 90′s anyway (and I intend for this story to end in the 2000′s). But that’s as far as I’ll stretch the rule.
So I’m open to suggestions!
As for myself, besides HOME and a few synthwave tracks, I’ve also found some OSTs that definitely hit the themes I’m going for. The soundtrack for the 90′s film Hackers is fantastic and fits Adam’s stuff very well, so I’d definitely like to find more of that. And 2016′s indie game, Oxenfree... Its soundtrack is pretty much perfect, honestly? 80′s based to be sure, but I still get a 90′s vibe from it and it has the mysteriousness I want for The Phoenix Prophecy.
So for the story itself, I pretty much want synths, lol.
I’d like to put together a ‘road trip mix’ for fun. Like, music they’d listen to as they drive. This can include movie and game soundtracks since they’d like those, but I suppose this also means someone has listened to Nirvana and omg who should it be ???
The burning question here.
And since I envision End of Summer as the opening theme, I felt I needed to find a closing theme, too. And so I did.
HOME’s Pyxis.
And since I can’t stop rambling (this feels so good oh my god), I’d like to share what I envision the intro and outro as being (and even if the cartoon can’t ever be made, I swear these will make it into the games).
The intro would have to be a dynamic one, as 90′s as possible. To that end, there will be bright colours, there will be fast movements, there will be monsters, there will be driving. The cast will appear, of course, as will the main alien characters.
I can’t really say I have a cohesive vision here, but the intro would start with the van driving down a road with Seattle and a sunrise in the distance, and what would follow is the encounters mentioned above in other cities and states (to that end, the intro would change with each season, probably). The intro would end with the cast standing heroically in front of the van, the title logo shining above.
The outro would simply be the van traveling down lonely roads, towns, and cities, set against a starry night sky. As it goes on, the driver of the van changes, starting with Adam and ending with Misora, the latter of which catches something in the corner of her eye... only for it to vanish before she can get a good look.
Music like End of Summer and Pyxis fit the feel I’d be going for.
Anyways, that’s all for now.

April 25th-May 1st, 2020 Creator Babble Archive
The archive for the Creator Babble  chat that occurred from April 25th, 2020 to May 1st, 2020.  The chat focused on the following question:
What is your warm-up routine before you write or draw something related to your story?
Page, Rambler Extraordinaire!
Honestly? I don’t have a formal warm-up, but I definitely like to have my fingers all warmed-up and ready for lots of typing! I really need to get in the mindspace for the particular image/idea being portrayed, though.
LadyLazuli (Phantomarine)
1) Seek out music that matches the energy of the page, 2) Draw some circles/spirals/hatchmarks to loosen up, 3) Pick the easiest thing on the page and finish it first to build momentum, 4) Repeat Ad Infinitum
shadowhood (SunnyxRain)
-listen to music from my playlist -read some fanfics -watch YouTube videos from my subscription -get some tea -stretch/workout -wear my comfiest clothes
CalimonGraal(Fenauriverse)
i'm also another one that listens to music before doing story stuff. (sometimes either is a favorite song/song i'm obsessed with atm or one that matches the current scene)
Eilidh (Lady Changeling)
I usually reread my comic so far and listen to some music I associate with it to get me in the mindset and excited for it
eli [a winged tale]
I have a warm up character to go to! Usually I try for some gestures before getting right back to the panels. It gets the rustiness out of the way for me!
Joichi [Hybrid Dolls]
Ooh I love your warm ups, Eli!
eli [a winged tale]
Thank you! It’s easier for me to get into a routine when I have something fun to draw first (with zero expectations)
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
I don't always need a warm up, but doing panel borders for HoK makes for an excellent warm up. It gets my brain switch gears to comic mode. Music is great, but I only turn it on for important moments (or illustrations outside of comic). There are certain moods that... recur in important moments in my story, and I have playlists for those. e.g. 'sad emotional intimacy'
eli [a winged tale]
I love how music influences our work! I would love to hear all your playlists if you have them easy to share
shadowhood (SunnyxRain)
ooooh @eli [a winged tale] i like the motion in your warmups! They're very fluid and nice to look at @keii’ii (Heart of Keol) Keii, I agree with separating playlists for moods! I usually just group them all in my favourites and mentally search for them
DanitheCarutor
Gosh I'm one of the most boring people. Lol I don't have a routine, I don't need one since I'm always in comic mode. Like, all I ever draw is comic pages. I don't have a script or anything that requires writing, so no need for a warm-up for that. I just jump right into it.
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
Sounds like you live on the edge which is the opposite of boring 8)
eli [a winged tale]
^
DanitheCarutor
I dunno, it would be cool to do warm-up drawing. That would sure help for gesture/color/anatomy practice. I just don't have the time, a page takes about 4 days to finish without outside distractions, so I have to get to work right away.
eli [a winged tale]
If you can jump right in, that’s great! For me otherwise I just stare at the inks and wish it would colour itself
DanitheCarutor
Ffff I'm like that with dynamic shots where the perspective points are off the page, and I have to tape scrap paper to it, and sometimes my ruler isn't long enough. Working in a traditional medium can be such a pain in the ass sometimes. Lol
This panel is a good example.
Top view perspective lines went way off the page, I hate it.
Anyways, that's my complaint for the day.
Joichi [Hybrid Dolls]
When I draw warm ups. This was of my 'for practice' comic art. I wanted to practice the vertical scroll storytelling. A lady gets her purse string cut, and the thief runs off. Whenever I want to figure out action scenes, I do little character interactions. It helps me learn more about certain character behavior(edited)
eli [a winged tale]
Nice! Practice comics are great!
shadowhood (SunnyxRain)
yeah it's really good too!
it's also a great way to possibly have new stories/series
kinda like.....brainstorming, but applied
Joichi [Hybrid Dolls]
Thank you Eli, Shadow. I try to combine my knowledge of storyboarding, since vertical scroll sequences, are similar to that in some regards.(edited)
Holmeaa - working on WAYFINDERS
I.... Don't do warm up. I just... Start drawing(edited)
shadowhood (SunnyxRain)
dang Holmea you living the risky life
that's brave
Holmeaa - working on WAYFINDERS
I am pretty sure of my skill. Should I warm up?? Could be super to start warm ups! I check my mail, find out how we are doing online with our comic and just begin to draw. I guess since I have done it professionally as a 2d animator, and there is not really time to warm up, that I have learned to just start
FeatherNotes(Krispy)
I do warm ups for everything! though what I define as warmups depend on each creator. For me, it begins with stretches and sketching, ill doodle things i need to get out of my head so i'm not distracted by those ideas- they usually involve studies, certain character interactions, or thumbing out pieces I want to tackle later! I may sure to draw everyday to flex that too, so its also important to be able to relax those creative muscles with some pre-work!
also! my warm ups vary with what medium i work in. if Im working in watercolours, i practice fine pencil work and get my lines as loose as possible. when it's comic (so mainly inking) i do what I described above with character studies and what not
kayotics
I’m really bad at remembering to do warm ups. I should.... actually do them more, but the time I have dedicated to drawing is usually pretty limited
Deo101 [Millennium]
Because I usually finish off whatever I had been working on the day before, warmups for me are kind of the process of starting a new piece. All the sketching and thumbing to get my next idea out work pretty well for warming me up, and then I feel ready to go by the time I'm needing to do things like lines. I also get music going that fits the mood of what I'm working on, like lots of people seem to do! I also need to remember to do stretches more :/ And I usually get myself some kind of drink, tea or something, to keep me company while I work ;)
Joichi [Hybrid Dolls]
Sounds like you are pretty busy, Kayotic. Yeah warm ups can be a good practice before diving into a big illustration
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
Weirdly I don't think I've ever done warmups for illustrations. Only comic work!
Probably because illustrations, I just do them whenever I feel like it, so my brain is already ready (i.e. I don't start if my brain isn't ready)
whereas comic... I can't just wait for my brain to get ready. I need to keep updating it.
Page, Rambler Extraordinaire!
Pro-tip: if you decide to not do anything and procrastinate, you don't have to warm-up!
Eightfish (Puppeteer)
hmm, can't say i've really tried warming up for art before, but i've heard it can really help! What are you guys' art warm up routines?
Deo101 [Millennium]
For me it's just kinda mindless sketching til I hit what it is I wanna be doing
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
Make panel borders (not really a routine though, at least I don't think it is)
Tuyetnhi (Only In Your Dreams!)
When I do watercolor, I usually don't do warm ups unless I'm planning from thumb-> sketch ->color thumbs and figuring out local colors for watercolor then doing my watercolor flats from there
Deo101 [Millennium]
Instead of staring at a blank screen and waiting, making little circles or scribbles or drawing like. Some arms or something til, eventually, my brain thinks we're working and then it's like "ah yes! Here we go!"
Tuyetnhi (Only In Your Dreams!)
but digitalllyyyyy I shoullddddddddd
my brain when looking at my comic: "aight time to do the thingy lmao"
Deo101 [Millennium]
If I've already got a sketch waiting to go I can jump right in though
Tuyetnhi (Only In Your Dreams!)
idk, I should but my time is usually limited so I haven't done a warm up in a while lmao.
now I have the time, I probably would
Eightfish (Puppeteer)
ohh i see
like some quick sketches
i see how that can help- whenever i'm figure drawing or drawing people in a cafe or something my later ones are always better
how is making panel borders a warm up? don't you have to do that anyways?
Deo101 [Millennium]
Lines with intent! Doesn't matter what the purpose is, same kinda thing as drawing a bunch of straight lines in a row or practicing ellipses a bit
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
It's something I can do with my brain turned off. While I do it, it wakes up the comic-making part of my brain
Tuyetnhi (Only In Your Dreams!)
oh ye
Deo101 [Millennium]
Which I'd encourage doing things like drawing a ton of ellipses or straight lines, it gets your hand into the groove so you can draw stuff right the first time
Do I do it often? No But I do encourage it
Eightfish (Puppeteer)
ah i see keii
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
So for me, the panel borders can function like a warmup without being a "ritual." Kinda like if you're... say... hiking, walking from your parking spot to the trailhead can be a warmup even if it's not a ritual and is necessary anyway
Tuyetnhi (Only In Your Dreams!)
ooo that's an interesting way of putting it
... man I really should consider warm ups often. I have been touching my sketchbook less and less so lmao
I do find making small thumbs and coloring them in relaxing for me, not sure that count as a warm up but its something I like doing when planning out watercolor illustrations lol
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
Relaxing/chilling/ "reward after a long day" arting is also an interesting topic, though not 100% suitable for this week's question...
I find it interesting how a lot of people seem to like, make cute ship doodles, whereas I uhhh
Eightfish (Puppeteer)
lineart is the easiest for me to do though. I don't have to think much about it
maybe i should like line a page as warm up?
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
I'll drop some examples in art share in a bit
Eightfish (Puppeteer)
ooh please do(edited)
keii’ii (Heart of Keol)
That sounds like a good idea! Worth trying
Feather J. Fern
I actually read in a artist self care comic "Draw Stronger: Self Care of Artist" that you are supposed to stretch and stuff before you art so your body is warmed up for long periods of sitting. Things i draw before getting into main art, the one line challenge where you draw something using one line, gesture drawing warm ups, and always becuase it's something I recently been doing, is drawing a thumbs up on a page that I can erase later or keep in a sketchbook as in like "Good job "(edited)
Cap’n Lee (Flowerlark Studios)
I don't have a warm-up routine before I sit down and draw / write comics. Besides making a cup of coffee before I dive right in. (edited)
sssfrs (JOE IS DEAD)
I don't follow rules
snuffysam (Super Galaxy Knights)
i don't really have any warm up routines. it helps that 3d art is less physically demanding than drawing. during/after my work, i try to look away from the screen and relax my eyes every so often, but i can't think of anything i specifically do before working.
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
Another dive-right-inner here. I mean, I do loose pencil sketches before putting down lineart, but it's not like a separate warmup drawing before the real one, it's just the start of the real one.
If my brain isn't in "comics mode" and I need to get a page done...I find a nice secluded spot, sit down with the blank sketchbook, and stare at the empty paper until ideas start clicking into place. Unrelated sketches would be a distraction at that point -- same as checking twitter, just one more excuse for my brain to focus on something other than the page.
Used to do the seclusion in local restaurants( whether it's a nice place or just a plastic fast-food table), but obviously that hasn't been an option for a while :/
varethane
My warmup is working eight hours at an unrelated job l-lol
eli [a winged tale]
Haha aw that’s a mood
Miranda
Oh boy do I feel that
shadowhood (SunnyxRain)
oh that got real

(sorry for disappearing, I had to go to bed ^^;;)
It says the video’s unavailable in my country ;-; gah. I’ll go search it up on youtube later and see if there’s a different video
You might not believe this, but I don’t cry while watching anything. I FEEL the pain on the inside and it hurts a lot but I just can’t cry XD like, the closest I got was when I watched the last movie of the Hobbit trilogy and that was only because the Hobbit/LOTR series has been a part of my life since I was tiny and my mom got me to read the books. And even then I didn’t actually cry; my eyes started stinging a bit but no real tears. I also got close while watching Inside Out, which was a little annoying because I didn’t even like the movie that much- I just related to the ending scenes (the family feels) and suddenly got all emotional because of that.
This is gonna make me sound like a heartless monster but I didn’t even cry during the last episodes of Your Lie in April…
(I’m a crybaby in real life, though LOL seriously anything can make the tears start falling to the point where it’s actually kinda frustrating)
Hisoka’s the trash LORD. Almost equal with Furuta, really.
It’s weird, though: a lot of people call him a pedo for his reactions to Gon but I don’t think that’s what it is…it’s not an attraction to Gon himself as much as it is an attraction Gon’s abilities and what he’s capable of? (which is still pretty creepy tho lol)
Yes, you should be done with him. Throw him back in the trashcan where he belongs. (he does have a really good voice though)
TYSM ;-; I’ll send you some soon, then! <3
Oh, my sister’s too little to watch most anime, but I’ve let her and my cousin (who’s just…seven? Eight? I think?) watch a little bit of Attack on Junior High. They ship Annie/Bertolt and both of them are huge fans of Annie and Mikasa. Also Levi, sorta.
I also let my sister watch the first episode of YoI (I forgot about the naked Viktor scene until it was actually happening but decided that it’s probably ok since it’s nobody makes sexual comments on it and besides, stuff like Doraemon shows 100% nude characters anyway). She didn’t get everything that was going on other than the fact that Yuuri lost and had to go home but Viktor was going to teach him how to skate again, but she liked it a lot and she kept singing ‘History Maker’ non-stop for a LONG time. She’s learning cello right now and she also kept making me show her cello covers of History Maker on youtube.
I’ll (probably) try to take it slow :) and I’ll definitely let you know when I start playing/finish a route!
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING TO MY HEART WITH THOSE PICTURES. NO. STOP IT. I REFUSE TO STAY IN THIS FLASK- I REFUSE TO ADMIT DEFEAT-
(seriously though wth that middle picture is adorable)
Idk how it ended up that savage. I swear I wasn’t trying to be mean *innocent smile*
TYSM, Luna. What would I do without you?
But wait, you had a hard time writing Evans/Kimblee headcanons? Here-
‘Evans: KIMBLEE NO
Kimblee: Kimblee Yes ;)’
that is literally the only headcanon you need for this relationship.
I just think Nishiki/Luna would make such a cool, sassy couple. Like, all other people and ghouls are just peasants next to the two of you, step aside Touken- bow down to the real king and queen
Still gonna try tho because tbh Greed/Luna keeps turning into a bigger OTP :) (I’m seriously really happy you’ve enjoyed all my headcanons up ‘til now though <3)
I used to 'like’ (‘like’ as in 'you’re a fun character to analyze and make headcanons about but you’re also sorta terrible’) and still find him an interesting character, but not as much as I used to…probably becase I’ve been losing interest in Kuro itself lately? Like, I still like it and I’m not going to drop it, but this arc dragged so much that even the plot twist couldn’t completely save it for me ;-; and nobody can deny that Seb IS trash. So on second thought, I ship Seb/Luna as more of a frenemy/enemies thing LOL please destroy the trashcan demon Queen Luna
I actually really liked Pietro and I’m still not over the fact that he had to go and DIE
Hange-Luna friendship would honestly be amazing. You’d always be joined by Evans-Moblit though lol
(Ok ok ok but after realizing that some of Tatsuo’s earlier designs look a LOT like an even leaner, meaner version of Kimblee…what if Kimblee was Tatsuo and Naomi’s oldest sibling. Imagine that messed up family. Oldest child is a mad bomber who’s been in jail for years. Second child is an bloodthirsty sloth who just DOESN’T CARE, ok. Third child is screaming on the inside 24/7 because her brothers suck.
Tatsuo likes his big bro’s style but thinks the explosions are a bit extreme. Naomi hates both of them. Just, I’m having so much fun imagining the family reunion when Kimblee gets out of jail.
Also if Kimblee actually DID care about his younger siblings to some extent, let’s go back to that Hamilton AU. Shuu, if you thought Tatsuo’s reaction to the Kaneki Pamphlet was scary…)
Tysm for answering my random, sorta creepy question ;-; that’s a good way to deal with things :) I just asked hoping to maybe get some advice because I’ve been having trouble expressing/dealing with anger lately and it’s just kinda painful XD
OMG. I’ve always wanted to do aesthetic edits but I still don’t quite get how to do them (I don’t have photoshop and it seems you have to pay to download it so I have to figure out how to do it on Gimp (which I do have) or somewhere else…). These are AMAZING! The masquerade is lovely, really reminds me of some sort of fairytale, the Ballerina one is beautiful and has a 'classic’ feel to it, if that makes sense? (Also loving that Hamilton reference, it fits perfectly.)
Luna’s mood board is so pretty though. Love all those pastel colors and that 'seductively takes off glasses’ XD Also just from the pictures I guess you like sweet food?
And wow. If the Blue one was really inspired by me, it’s creepily accurate (though those sneakers are too nice for me, I’d probably ruin them lol). Especially that 'overthinking always’ pic. It's amazing, I could stare at it for ages, tysm <3
Um, for ideas/suggestions…aesthetic edit for Saiko/Urie, our shared OTP? Or one for Shuu/Kaneki? Maybe? If it’s not too much to ask? ^^
btw, do you have playlists you listen to nowadays? Like, I’ve gotten obsessed with a ton of songs lately so
No worries, I went to bed shortly after that as well ^^ I completely understand that there’s a big time difference between here and Korea ;)
Ah, that’s a shame :/ Hopefully you’ll find a version that plays, because it’s a really tranquil song ^^
We’re opposites XD I can’t remember the last time I cried because of something that happened irl, but anime gets to me very easily (however, none of my friends know that and I always feel a bit smug when we’re watching sad movies and they’re bawling their eyes out while I’m unfazed). Aw, that’s actually adorable! I’ve never read or watched LOTR, but I’ve both read and watched The Hobbit ^^  At this point I can’t even say I’m surprised at that… What’d I expect anyway XD (about Your Lie in April)
Speaking of trash, I recently read a book that landed on the top spot of ‘Trashiest books I’ve read in my life’ and I’ve read a lot of books, so that’s not an easy feat. The whole time I was reading it, I was more or less like ‘Is this girl (protagonist) for real?’ Basically, she’s the typical ‘perfect, beautiful’ girl and her character flaw is supposed to be that she’s cold, but since she’s so intelligent and pretty, everyone worships her like a fucking goddess. Of course, she’s also skilled in combat and intrigues everyone, including the hot love interest, his hot friend, their hot enemy and probably all of the other males in the world. Most irritating thing about it? The book ends with the sentence ‘Let’s go home’. Obviously, that sentence has a lot of emotional value to me (Hideeeeee), so seeing it used in a supposedly bitter-sweet scene in such a bad book really makes me irritated. Do not underestimate the number of people you’ll reduce to tears with that sentence!
It’s… it’s still creepy as fuck, even though it’s not directly pedo… Yep, I’ll just return him to the trash can. He belongs there. ((I haven’t even watched the anime XD))
Ah, by the way, completely random, but do I curse too much? I’ve noticed I started cursing a bit more lately ^^;; So if it makes you uncomfortable, just say so!
Aw, that’s so cute! Junior High is actually a pretty good anime, though a lot of people I know would disagree with me. My favorite part was probably the one where they summon Levi by throwing a plastic bottle into the paper bin. The only thing I wonder about: Just what were the writers smoking when writing the script? It’s nowhere near as random as Hetalia, but it’s still very random. Worryingly random. I can’t believe I actually spelled that word correctly on my first try. Wow.
I ship Berthold with happiness. Actually, I ship that whole universe, especially some individuals (ARMIN) with happiness. I ship Annie with Armin more, though. The blond OTP is cute~
That’s adorable! You probably know all the lyrics by now :P Did she ever learn the cover or nah?
Well, no one’s gonna blame you if you do route after route ^^ That’s what I did anyway *looks away with guilt* How’s Rod so far?
This is the moment where I put even more Urie/Saiko pics but the internet here is so shitty that I’m pretty sure it’ll die before I manage to load a single one. Yay.
I know, I almost melted while searching for those pics T^T Urie/Saiko gives me life. Ishidaaaaa come ooooh
Yeah, suuure, I totally believe that. Evans never meant to roast the flame alchemist. Nooo
Ahahahah, yeah, probably XD Who knows, maybe you could stop him from blowing up a building or two. Maybe.
I cry. What did I ever do to deserve a friend this sweet? The last time I saw something that almost gave me diabetes was when I was watching Sweetness and Lighting, and it still wasn’t as cute as you!
Honestly, I’m not exactly in the Kuro fandom, but the manga is intriguing enough for me to keep reading. Also, the art style is really pretty! And some of the arcs are my all time favorites. Not to mention, the little shit that is Ciel has somehow become my adopted son XD The thing Bassy would hate the most about me: I’m allergic to cats. I get a rash and start sneezing when near them. It’s gotten better in the last few years, but I’m still weary near them. Not to mention, getting red and itchy all over as a kid hasn’t really made me develop much liking towards the furballs.
Well, what about the X-Men timeline? He appears there as well, right? I mean, I haven’t watched those movies, but I hope he’s alive there. I hope.
We’d be the duo everyone is scared of, because we probably blow the lab up on a daily basis. You and Moblit have to take away the explosives XD Levi would (seemingly) hate me even more than Hange, cause I’m full 5cm taller than her, which makes me 15cm taller than him. Wow. He’s tiny XD And that just made me realize Armin and I would have that cute couple height difference, only I’d be the taller one :P I’m one of those people who are convinced puberty does wonders to him, though. Seriously, just google ‘Older Armin’
That’s... a very messed up family to say the least. Just. Wow. How can so much tragedy be crammed into genes?  Shuu better watch out when Kimblee hears what happened with his sis XD Somehow, I think that Kimblee’s version of Congratulations would involve shit blowing up.
It’s no problem ^^ If you want to ask any similar questions, feel free to! They’re not creepy at all. You should hear some of the shit I ask at times...  I hope you find a good way to deal with anger soon ^^ The only thing with my answer is that I rarely get angry, I mostly get frustrated. I’d recommend drawing as a way to express feelings. Bring out the red colors and murder that paper XD
Aah, I’m so glad you like them! I was really satisfied (ha) with them, since they were done in a rush ^^ Most of them were born from me finding one pic and thinking ‘I want an AU based on this pic’. For the masquerade, it was fans and ballroom, ballerina History has its eyes on you and the shoes.
If you offer enough chocolate and/or cookies, I’m willing to sell my soul. I wish I was joking. I’m not.  I’m glad you like yours ^^ I was thinking about showing you the ones I made and was like ‘Why not make one for you?’ I remembered you saying you like blue, found some pics and ta-dah! It’s really fun to do, and it’s nice artistic expression for someone who can’t draw for shit XD
I’ve only managed to do Shuu ;-;
Tumblr media
((It actually looks more like it was meant for Kanae XD))
Tbh, I’ve tried to do the other ones as well, but it’s pretty hard to find pics that fit =3= I’ll keep trying tho ^^
Also, I made one for Rod, since he’s your first route, but it’s actually spoilerish, so tell me when you’re done and I can show it to you ^^
I mostly make my own playlists, and the ones I have right now have a lot of Ed Sheeran, a shitton of soundtracks, a few idol songs and probably more remixes than it would be considered healthy.  Also, while looking at my playlist to answer this, I realized what I liked in a song: The beat.  Which actually explains why I always seem to prefer remixes more than the original song and why I’m a sucker for Woodkid songs, especially Run Boy Run and Iron.  Also, I adore soundtracks. I’m content listening to just those, especially if they’re fantasy or medieval XD
I get my pictures from Pinterest! A lot of artsy pics are uploaded there, so it’s easy to find what I’m looking for ^^  I hope you’ll start making your own edits soon! I’d definitely love to see how that’d turn out ^^
