Like ik to some degree it is inevitable bc we tend to see ourselves as heroes and this extends to stories where we see through the protagonist's eyes, but damn. Maybe analyze where that impulse for "righteous" retribution is coming from before it bleeds out into the way (general you) view and treat actual people if it hasn't already
