I find it very funny that V.II Snail's English voice actor, Jonathan Lipow has been the voice of the Hulk and the Abomination (specifically their live-action grunts and roars), a robot dog (ReCore), and a literal hamster (Overwatch), because you just know that if you put them all in a room V.II Snail would be utterly miserable.
And anything that makes Snail miserable is a good thing.

Latest details
■ Key Artwork
Tumblr media Tumblr media
■ Regions of the World
The world is comprised of multiple regions, each boasting unique environments for players to explore and experience on their adventure.
Starboard Junon
Tumblr media
An urban residential zone within the fortified metropolis overlooking the ocean. In addition to housing for Shinra personnel, high-end boutiques and restaurants line its streets. Currently, preparations are underway here for Rufus Shinra’s presidential inauguration parade
Shinra-8
Tumblr media
A Shinra cruise ship that ferries travelers between the planet’s eastern and western continents. After departing the port of Junon, it heads for the resort town of Costa del Sol. As part of the on-board entertainment, the ship plays host to a Queen’s Blood tournament.
■ New Characters
Cait Sith & Moogle
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This gregarious cat fights from atop his sturdy moogle mount, who provides both mobility and support during battle. When Cait’s not duking it out, his Cait Sith & Moogle high-tech helper aids him in hacking computer systems and telling fortunes.
Tumblr media
Elena (voiced by Piper Reese in English, Megumi Toyoguchi in Japanese)
“Feast your eyes on the Turks’ latest and greatest─Elena! But you three can call me your worst nightmare!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though she may be a rookie, she’s as skilled with her fists and a gun as anyone else in the Turks unit of Shinra’s General Affairs Division. She and her partner Rude are tasked with pursuing the black-robed figures, which she is more than happy to do if it means being assigned a mission with Tseng.
Tumblr media
Captain Titov (voiced by Jonathan Lipow in English, Tsuyoshi Koyama in Japanese)
“Be sure to mind your P’s and Q’s, huh? Lotta bigwigs on board.”
Tumblr media
The captain of the Shinra-8, responsible for overseeing safe passage for all who travel between Junon and Costa del Sol. He’s earned a sterling reputation among his crew, thanks to his unerring devotion to his duties. This is most evident during the various festivities held aboard his vessel, which he personally—and passionately—emcees.
Tumblr media
■ Combat
Next up, let’s take a look at what some of the new additions to the party can do in battle!
◆ Yuffie
Tumblr media
Basic Attacks
Quickly strike enemies with a large throwing star. The speed with which she attacks allows you to charge ATB faster than most. While her throwing star is out, Yuffie can unleash magic-infused “ninjutsu” to punish foes.”
Tumblr media
Abilities
Yuffie excels at chaining her attacks together and switching their elemental affinity. Her Doppelgänger ability allows her to attack in tandem with her clone, enabling her to exploit enemies’ weaknesses even more effectively.
Tumblr media
Unique Ability
Hurling her throwing star at enemies allows her to keep up the pressure from a distance. While her throwing star’s out, she can also pelt her foes with ninjutsu. Whatever element her target’s weak against, Yuffie has a ninjutsu spell for it.
Tumblr media
◆ Cait Sith
Basic Attacks
He darts about the battlefield with the agility of an acrobat (or perhaps a cat?), assailing enemies from every side. When he wants to switch things up, he brings out his moogle pal, changing his attacks.
Tumblr media
Abilities
These Cait Sith-exclusive moves can hurt enemies or buff allies, but most rely on luck in some way. “Let’s Ride!,” however, allows him to hop on his moogle, enhancing his regular attacks and his unique abilities.
Tumblr media
Unique Abilities
While riding his moogle, Cait Sith can give enemies the boot with Dropkick. Once his moogle’s attacks have filled the Moogle Meter, he can also buff his companions with abilities like “Defense!”
Tumblr media
◆ Synergy Abilities
Powerful attacks in which two characters team up to turn the tide of battle. More abilities will unlock as you increase the party level—a numerical expression of how closely-knit your team is—and deepen the affinity between party members. Fill the synergy gauge by using abilities, then unleash a synchronized assault.
Moogle Pinwheel (Synergy Ability / Yuffie and Cait Sith)
Yuffie and Cait Sith attack in tandem with a secret ninja technique.

What does Darkrai's voice sound like in your fic? You mentioned his singing voice in the latest chapter and I grew curious as to how you imagine his voice
Oh, that's a cool question! I imagine him having a pretty nonbinary voice naturally, and depending on what gender he is identifying as at that moment, he'll either speak a little higher or lower than his 'normal'. Like, going either the direction of alto or tenor, though not much higher/deeper. But I don't imagine him having a very memorable voice when he speaks normally, just another voice among many.
The exceptions to that is when he uses his "I am a villain"-voice, which is something he has to very consciously do. Then, he generally goes deeper with his voice and speaks in like... a slower, menacing way? The best example (and also inspiration) for what I imagine his voice to be like, then, is Jonathan Lipow voicing Astor in Hyrule Warriors.
So, yeah! That's what I imagine at least. Thank you for asking, elaborating on things is always fun :D

Note
We should all just put money to commission Jonathan Lipow to read your fic in character ( /j I know thats impossible but i’m seeing the audiobook asks and just IMAGINE)
Commissioning a professional voice actor to read a book that long would be EXPENSIVE but yknow we are best friends and do exchange emails regularly so it should be a non-issue

The Mosley Review: Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom
Tumblr media
Wish fulfillment. That's what this entire trilogy has become for me. Siege showed the darkness and horrors of the war on Cybertron and Earthrise gave characters more depth character with their sacrifices and it was a great space adventure. This entry ties all of what made the first 2 entries great and delivered something that I've always wanted to see. The Autobots and Decepticons finally meeting their future counterparts the Maximals and Predacons. As a massive fan of 90's computer animated classic series Transformers: Beast Wars, I have waited for the moments that were alluded to finally come true. Time travel can be tricky and sometimes it doesn't mix well with certain franchises. It can become convoluted and too sprawling for its own good and that happens a few times in this finale. The action is great and the story is cool, but I felt there was a disconnection to the main plot somewhere in the middle. I did love that the story leans into a more spiritual direction when tackling the mythos behind the life force of the Allspark. This final chapter was truly something special and all the characters you knew and loved may have changed in this iteration, but a few stay consistent with their previous versions.
Tumblr media
Jake Foushee once again delivers a great performance as Optimus Prime and I can't stress enough the amount of depth he brings to the character. This is the most emotional and very flawed version of Optimus I've ever seen. All the consequences of his actions meet up with him and it was really fun to see him navigate his present as he deals with his possible future. Joe Zieja was awesome yet again as Bumblebee and he continues to be a strong companion and sometimes a better leader than Optimus. Bill Rogers still nails it as Wheeljack and I loved his jabs and sly comments about the battles in the series. Linsay Rousseau returns as Elita-1 and she has one of the most powerful and heartbreaking moments of the season. The Maximals are introduced in this chapter and growing up with the original voice cast, it was very jarring to not hear them or their cadence with each other. I also felt most of them weren't really handled well. Justin Luther did a good job as Optimus Primal, but from the beginning I felt he didn't understand the commanding presence needed for the character. His characterization of him was really off in the beginning and lacked that same gravitas. As the chapter progresses he gets better, but not to the full potential what could've been. Joe Hernandez was good as Cheetor and I think he got the hot shot personality of the character just right. Frank Todaro did well as one of my favorites Rattrap. He was a little under used for me and I would've loved to see him trade wise cracks with Bumblebee or Cheetor more. Andy Bernett was perfect as Rhinox. He nailed the tech savy and wisdom of the character. Erin Ebers was excellent as Airazor and she stole a great deal of the show with a great arc.
Tumblr media
Jason Marnocha was excellent once again as Megatron and I liked that his obsession with the future has really pushed him over the edge. Jason's portrayal of Galvetron was even more sinister and sometimes sadistic as you feel his desperation to be free of his master Unicron. The 2 of them together were excellent and offer up some great insight into the idea of knowing too much about your own future. Jonathan Lipow was perfectly menacing and terrifying as the ever present entity Unicron. You are in constant fear once he's on screen and I loved his soft and dark tone. Frank Todaro was excellent again as the conniving weasel Starscream. This time he actually has an important purpose instead of betraying everyone. Marqus Bobesich was good as a sort of younger interpretation of the Predacon Megatron, but I hated that he was such a slave to the original. He has some great moments of action, but I would've liked to have seen more of the conflict between him and Primal. Jeanne Carr was perfectly devious and creepy as Blackarachnia. She always has a back up plan and I liked the chemistry she had with Airazor. The one character that I hoped would steal the show like he did in the past, does that once again. Krizz Kaliko was perfect as Dinobot and he is every bit the warrior he deserved to be. I loved that we get an emotional depth to his warrior spirit.
Tumblr media
The score by series composer Alexander Bornstein was excellent once again as the mix of orchestral and technical synth is brilliantly placed throughout the season. The biggest problems I felt with this chapter in particular were the Maximals and Predacons themselves. They added to the story and overall arc of the series, but they seemed misunderstood and sometimes miss cast. The story gets a little too big for what they were trying to achieve in 6 episodes and it felt rushed towards the end as they threw as much as they could at the screen. This was a good final chapter that could've been great and as a trilogy, this is still one of the best iterations of the Transformers lore I've ever seen. I definitely recommend this trilogy to all fans that have been waiting for a darker, edgier and sometimes grounded story. The entire Netflix Original trilogy is now streaming. Let me know what you thought of the show or my review in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

Star Wars Resistance episode 9: The Platform Classic reveals a fraternal rivalry
New Post has been published on https://www.articletec.com/star-wars-resistance-episode-9-the-platform-classic-reveals-a-fraternal-rivalry/
Star Wars Resistance episode 9: The Platform Classic reveals a fraternal rivalry
This episode’s race is visually impressive and has high emotional stakes.
Lucasfilm
Excellent characterization and an intense race make for an absorbing ninth episode of the CGI animated series Star Wars Resistance.
We learn a whole lot about head mechanic Jarek Yeager (Scott Lawrence) when we’re introduced to his brother Marcus Speedstar (Keston John), a super slick racer who’s come to the Colossus refueling platform to compete in the Platform Classic.
The main spying plot about Kazuda Xiono (AKA Kaz, played by Christopher Sean) trying to find First Order spies on the platform is sidelined, but he acts as a point-of-view character as we find out about the brothers. We know the villainous group is on its way to the platform, but it clearly hasn’t arrived yet.
Marcus is trying to get his brother back
During the episode, we discover that Yeager lost his job with the New Republic military after the Empire was defeated at the Battle of Jakku. He started racing to support his wife and daughter, proving to be unbeatable force even for his brother.
Desperate to win, Marcus accidentally caused their deaths when he used dangerous hyperfuel to give himself an edge in a race. The brothers swore never to race each other again, but an understandably upset Yeager cut off contact (they haven’t seen each other in a decade) and became a mechanic.
Yeager and Marcus’ relationship defrosts during the episode.
Lucasfilm
The showman has layers
Marcus acts like a shallow, pompous celebrity (much like Hype Fazon in The High Tower), but he needs to win in order to pay off his debt to the Guavian Death Gang — a group we saw chasing Han Solo in The Force Awakens.
The Guavians take Marcus’ mechanic, a Craysek called Oplock (Jonathan Lipow), as a hostage when they track him down. His desperation to win suddenly goes beyond pride. Yeager, however, doesn’t seem interested in his brother’s plight even after he agrees to race.
Yaeger looks pretty awesome in his racing helmet.
Lucasfilm
The Platform Classic is spectacular
The race in the premiere looked excellent, but this was a step up. Between the excellent camera work and the beautiful waters of Outer Rim ocean planet Castilon, the Platform Classic is visual treat. All of the the platform’s Ace pilots are present, but they can’t compete with Yeager and Marcus’ skills.
The Climb sees the pilots flying vertically to the edge of space until their engines cut out and they enter the Powerless Plummet. Here, they must guide their ships into the reinginition hoop and restart their engines.
As the race draws to a close, Marcus appeals for Yeager’s forgiveness, offering a powerful emotional core. There’s no real doubt that he’ll let Marcus win, but it’s still a great moment.
The commentator for the race — as in the premiere — is Jak Sivak, who’s played by Greg Proops. He was one of the voices behind podrace commentators Fode and Beed in The Phantom Menace.
Oplock, Marcus’ mechanic, finds himself in danger and gives his boss a deeper reason to win.
Lucasfilm
Doza and Yeager are close
Platform boss Captain Doza (Jason Hightower) personally asks Yeager to race in order to drum up hype. Between that and his trusting Yeager to fix the Colossus’ automated turrets, it’s clear that there’s a mutual respect between the pair.
How will that impact events when the First Order — which tricked its way into providing security for the platform — arrives and starts using strong-arm tactics to take over? Will Doza help or turn a blind eye to Kaz’s mission for the Resistance?
Star Wars Resistance airs Sundays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Disney Channel, DisneyNOW and Disney Channel VOD.

ReCore Definitive Edition Gamescom 2017 4K Trailer
ReCore is an action-adventure platform video game developed by Comcept and Armature Studio, with major assistance by Asobo Studio, and published by Microsoft Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. The game was released worldwide in September 2016, and re-released on August 29, 2017.
The story tracks Joule Adams, one of the first volunteers for the utopian colony of Far Eden, who wakes after centuries in cryo-sleep to find that nothing has gone according to plan. With her three robotic machines known as corebot companions, Joule ventures throughout Far Eden to uncover the secrets behind the failed mission. The open world environment of Far Eden is subject to exploration and the collection of resources. Joule's weapons are color-coded to inflict damage on a particular set of enemies and, like her companions, can also be enhanced. The corebots support her in battle and puzzle solving.
Development began in 2014. The game was directed by Mark Pacini, written by Joseph Staten and conceptualized by Keiji Inafune. Mega Man and Metroid were significant influences in its creation. The development was divided between Armature Studio and Comcept into their own distinctive proficiencies, while Asobo Studio assisted. ReCore received mixed reviews, the most critical of which noted insufficient design choices, technical issues regarding lengthy and unsuccessful loading screens – later redressed – and repetitive combat. Praise was overall focused on the story, platforming and controls.
Plot[edit] ReCore is set roughly 200 years in the future. In the course of the early 2020s, a disease called the "Dust Devil Plague" began to ravage the Earth. An organization named Mandate led global efforts to fight the disease. As the Earth became uninhabitable, Mandate launched several missions to a new planet known as Far Eden. Far Eden was discovered many light-years away in the first decades of the 21st century. Several thousand corebots were sent to build atmospheric processing facilities on Far Eden, and the first group of colonists was sent. The colonists were to hibernate in cryo-sleep for 200 years while the terraforming process finished. During this period, many of the colonists vanished, and the corebots became corrupted.
The game begins on the desert world of Far Eden as one of the colonists Joule Adams (Erika Soto)[11] and her corebot Mack (Jonathan Lipow)[1] are walking past the wreckage of her cryo-sleep maintenance habitat, or "crawler", from which she previously woke. They venture out to obtain a power core to get the crawler back online. Eventually finding it inside a corebot, Joule pries it out with her extractor tool. Joule and Mack then return to the crawler, switching its power back on. Joule sets out to reactivate a terraforming pylon that she learns has been offline for ninety-six years. After Joule manages to reboot the pylon, she receives a distress signal from a beacon that had until then been obstructed. Once she obtains a prismatic core in order to progress towards the signal, enemy corebots appear. On the order of Victor (Alex Fernandez),[1] the leader of the corebots, they demand that she hand over the core. When she refuses, they become agitated. She defeats the enemies and proceeds to her destination. There, she encounters amputee Kai Brehn (Harry Shum)[11] and his corebot Seth. Kai requests aid for his leg and Joule complies. She reveals the prismatic core, as it might assist him. Kai urges her to travel to the core foundry so that Joule may discover the answers to its potential. Seth accompanies her.
In the foundry, Joule is able to analyze the prismatic core. She can make out voices coming from the core – including her father's – thus deducing that it is a transmission of sorts. Heading to Eden Tower to decrypt the core's transmission, she agrees to meet Kai there. Once reunited, they are ambushed by Victor. Kai stays behind to provide Joule the time to escape. She finds a lost crawler filled with parietal art indicating that Victor had manipulated the other corebots to attack the maintenance habitats. Corebot Duncan enters, lamenting the death of his human companion, and unites with Joule against Victor. Joule approaches Eden Tower to activate it, only to be faced with Victor and his minions. She learns that the ships, once orbiting Far Eden while waiting for its terraforming to complete, are long gone, having been destroyed by Victor. He throws Kai's prosthetic leg to the ground, proclaiming him dead. Finally, Joule bests Victor in combat and activates the terraforming system, materializing a hologram of her father from parts of memories hidden in the cores. In the end, it becomes clear that Kai survived his confrontation with Victor.
