SHU SAKAMAKI

Shu could not remember when he had grown so fond of you. A mortal sibling of hers, nonetheless. Shu his ponder his tenderness toward you, as there was nothing truly riveting about you on the surface. In his mind, you were a child and nothing more. An annoying, human child who can't help but stick close to its twice as annoying sister. But somehow your childishness weaseled its way into his cold heart.

He found his actions quite humorous, much like right now. Long, slender fingers glided along the pianos' smooth keys in fluid motions as though it was second nature. You rocked back and forth to the music, silently cheering for the vampire. A cold hand was placed on your head after the last keys were brushed, and instinctively you look to the culprit. Shu snorted, gazing back into your round eyes. It's decided, he will watch over your forever.

“Another one? Haah, just how needy can you be? Sit back down, I didn't say I wouldn't do it. Now, listen closely and try to keep up.”

REIJI SAKAMAKI

As a companion of the sacrificial bride, Reiji believes it's only fair that he treats you with the same respect he gives your sister. Which may or not be good or bad, it's a mere matter of opinion. Reji makes sure you are well-fed and up to date on all your homework and other responsibilities as asked of him. He initially had no desire to do anything more. But when proposed such innocent curiosity about his "work" how could he deny you?

Reiji often tasks you with lengthy assignments to ensure you don’t grow too close to others in the manor. It’s truly a shame that you happen to be the sibling of Yui, he’d much rather take her place if the opportunity presented itself. To say he’s a little envious of how reliant you are on the mortal woman is an understatement. Seething with envy would be a better description. Just put all your trust in him and perhaps he'll become more lenient with you!

“Have you completed all your duties for today? Not yet...I see. Do not deter from your responsibilities like that frivolous sister of yours, you have far more potential than you think."

AYATO SAKAMAKI

Unlike the others, Ayato is very easy to please. A few shots to his ego will do just the trick. Even as a juvenile, the vampire was very weak to praise; but when it comes from a kid it makes him swell with pride because ultimately, kids don't lie. Don't be surprised if he looks to you for validation at times, not even you are safe from his evolving ego.

When was the last time you hung out with Yui? Geez, you could not recall. Most of your days were spent with Ayato, busying yourself with whatever caught your attention. However, everything had its ups and downs. Every time you didn't acknowledge him, he'd throw a fit, demanding to know who could possibly replace him. Or even pestering you about the time you spent with his brothers instead of him. But who were you to complain? Free Takoyaki for you.

“The hell’re you talkin’ about him for? You’re in the presence of ‘yours truly’ so start actin’ like it. Tch, I’m better than all of them anyways!”

KANATO SAKAMAKI

Loud, whiny humans do not interest him in the slightest; and that's exactly what kids are. But you were different. You were somewhat whiny, like more young teena, but not to an overwhelming extent. With your age you had the potential to be the perfect doll, and Kanato wasn't going to let such a perfect opportunity slip through his fingers.

You glared daggers at the back of Kanato's head in hopes of evoking a reaction. Your body was tightly constrained by these horrid fabrics many called clothes. Kanato, of course, paid you no mind, ruffling through the array of clothing he had designed just for you. You scowled at his blatant ignorance, tempted to strip the intricate fabrics that hindered you, but you refrained from doing so. After all, Kanato wasn't being too insufferable at the moment.

“Don’t move or you’ll rip it! You wouldn't want all my hard work to go to waste, would you? Fufu, good, now stand still and wait for me to finish.”

LAITO SAKAMAKI

Since the beginning, Laito had always been kind to you, though it wasn't always genuine. He only had an interest in your sister thus a middle schooler had hardly captured his attention. But you were different, somehow. Before he knew it, Laito was listening to you ramble about your day. Even sharing some meaningless advice, that you could've honestly gone without, solely to get a reaction out of you.

The sun had just barely met the horizon, signaling morning was upon you. Your cheek was pressed flat against the vampire's lean back, dazed and hardly awake. His hands were gently hooked under your legs as he busied himself with a heedless tune. Your snores brought him comfort, though they were loud. He should honestly thank you for your existence because for once, Laito finally felt like an older brother.

“My, what a heavy sleeper. Dragging me all the way out here just to be carried home. How cute~! I hope you don't rely on the others like this.”

SUBARU SAKAMAKI

It's likely that you somehow took interest in this ill-tempered vampire so you decided to tag along with him. Subaru was charged as your guardian and he was anything but pleased. Nonetheless, he did his job, from picking you up from school to treating you to your favorite cafes. Even growing rather protective along the way. At this point, he's more of your brother than Yui is your sister! One could even say he's arguably calmer than before you arrived.

You stood outside the school doors, waiting patiently for someone, anyone's arrival. The weather was especially chilly that day, nipping at the tips of your fingers. As if someone read your mind, a familiar man with ashen-colored hair was coming your way. His arms snaked protectively around your shoulders as he lightly tugged you to his chest. His heart was pounding at an alarming rate as he quietly sighed in relief. And despite the coolness of his touch, you were warm. Happy and oh so very warm.

“Oi, where's the kid? Ha, what do you mean 'at school' who dropped 'em off? That's my job damnit—! Tch, forget it; dont even think about pickin' 'em up either, I'll do it. ”

I stumbled across your blog yesterday while searching for ao3 tags and discovered that you are the author of 3 wonderful diabolik lovers fanfics that I plan to read in the near future. I only got introduced to the game series after watching the anime a few months ago, and I've already played the first two games myself, but it wasn't until a week ago that I joined here to learn new and new things. Since you are a fan of one of the most complex in character and personality of the triplets, at least for me, I would be glad if you could tell me a little about him. Like why exactly he of all caught your attention, what exactly makes him different from his brothers, what mental disorders do you think he suffers from, his fears, and that weird obsession he has with Cordelia. Since I want to delve a little deeper into the character of all the brothers and Mukami, I've been doing a lot of research lately on the types of mental issues, but there seems to be very little information on Ayato despite being such a well-liked character.

(Sorry for the huge novel I just created, if you don't want to or don't have time for that you can ignore it).

I think I've answered a similar question before, so I'll keep it brief... Ayato suffers from huge abandonment issues and has obvious mental scars from the torture he has suffered at the hands of his mother. Most of the kids have but the way he internalised that trauma is interesting. He didn't drown his sorrow in sex like Laito or become totally unhinged like Kanato, didn't shut himself like Shu or Become overzealous about success like Reiji... And even though he does have self loathing tendencies like Subaru it's not nearly as serious as him. He decided to become a crybaby who wants and seeks constant attention and validation. Don't mind me making fun of my favourite Diaboy. Jealousy isn't an attractive trait but it surely is an interesting one.

Regarding his obsession with Cordelia... Have you seen Reiji's obsession with Beatrix? The man tries to resurrect her multiple times just to torture her in the games. I guess Ayato's obsession is rather tame compared to his brothers, but I would say all of the brothers are somehow in a trauma bond with their mothers. I'm not a psychologist/psychiatrist and I'm totally making a huge generalisation but, it's not far from possible. So saying someone is more interesting than any other isn't truly giving any justice to the characters. You know what character I hate the most in the game? Kou! Is he a loved character? Yes! Do I dare say that he's interesting? Yes! But does he interest me in particular? No. Every individual tends to have their own quirks and I wouldn't say any particular character is more complex than the others. They're all complex and there's something about Ayato that I particularly like.

Tbh I simply ship him with Yui and my personal favourite is Reiji, but I wouldn't tell you that. :) Also... Regarding the psychological aspect... I wouldn't mind you diving deeper into it, but I think since they're pretty different from humans, the Sakamakis and Mukamis aren't really characters we should view with the lens of human psychology. What is normal to us isn't normal to them.

except! he's open to being submissive. with the condition of: be nice to him. be gentle with him, please for the love of anything,, go easy on him. he will lose it if he's treated any other way

if laito is choosing to be submissive, he's not going to fully give up his control. that's .. asking for a lot. for laito, anyways. he plays it off, but without control, laito won't be a very happy guy,,,

with enough trust, it's possible. in general, it's kind of a ,,,touchy subject for laito.

he simply doesn't want to be dominated. he doesn't want someone to do something to him (especially physically) without him being the one in control

so,,, yeah i want to say he's a switch, but he's not. not really. if he's going to be a sub, he's still going to have control over the situation because anything else might result in a bloodbath ,,,

They are threatened and abused by the owner's new partner whenever the owner is not around. Now the owner finds a big bruise on their back and the partner says he has nothing to do with it. If the owner asks them, are they honest or cover the Partner? Shuu, Laito, Kanato, Subaru, Ruki, Yuuma

Shuu

He's not sure what would be the best option here. On one hand, if he tells you what's been happening, you'll probably put a stop to it... and it would be nice not to be smacked around like that anymore. However, it also might cause a lot of trouble if he ruins your opinion of your partner, and the last thing Shuu wants to deal with is you being pissed at him too. In the end, it depends on just how bad the abuse has been, and if the risk is worth it.

Laito

He doesn't dare tell you the truth. If he's honest about what your partner is doing, that would cause problems— and Laito is convinced that causing a rift in your relationship would be a near-suicidal mistake. Even if you know that your partner is hurting him, would that change anything? Or would you simply join in? He can't imagine you siding with him in a situation like this, so he finds a convenient excuse and pretends like everything is fine.

Kanato

It depends on if you ask him when you're alone, or when your partner is around. Kanato is too scared to tell the truth if the person who's hurting him can hear it, but if it's just the two of you, he's telling you everything through messy tears. It's mostly just because he wants the abuse to end... but he's also a little too eager for your partner to get in trouble for hurting him. Wouldn't that be hilarious, if you hated them for this, in the end?

Subaru

By that point, Subaru probably thinks it's his own fault that your partner is hurting him. How could it not be, when his disgusting self keeps causing problems? He's likely to cover for your partner solely because he believes the abuse is warranted, and that it's better not to cause you distress than make trouble because of his self-earned issues. It feels stupid to whine to you about someone hitting him when he's been through so much worse before.

Ruki

Depending on how kind you've been to him up until that point, Ruki is likely to tell the truth. He knows that this abuse could become dangerous if it gets out of hand, and he also can't stand allowing someone to hurt him when, by his owner's standards, he's done nothing to deserve it. However, if he feels that you'd be more upset with the truth than anything, there's still a chance he'll keep his mouth shut out of sheer self-preservation.

Yuuma

It feels silly to complain to you about such minor harm— he's strong enough to take what your partner has been doing, so it's fine to just deal with it... right? Yuuma isn't exactly trying to cover for your partner, but he's so convinced that he can handle what's being done to him that it doesn't feel right to admit to what's been happening and make you miserable as a result. He'll be fine even if this continues, and you shouldn't have to worry about him.

"How mean!" With a pout, she turned away to the side as her arms folded on top of each other in front of her chest. However, that didn't last very long.

"Laito is right. You're here for a reason. That being my scent. I don't see what's wrong with it. I'm just very curious!"

She turned to Ruki immediately, face flushing a second time. "It's not about attention! I'm not used to too much attention anyway."

"An excuse? You think I'm using observation as an excuse? For what? I do like biting but that doesn't mean I'm craving it. Hmph."

(i think it's so cute when they fight gsdfhgdf but yeah, danger??? i love it 🫣)

Kanato: "Curious? Curious about what exactly? Death, perhaps? You're stupid for thinking it would end any other way."

Laito: "Wow~ Don't mind Kanato-kun, I suppose, I think he might just be a bit jealous~"

Kanato: "Shut up! Why would I want someone so filthy?"

Ayato: "More for Ore-sama, then. ..Fine, since you like being bitten so much.."

Ayato's voice trails off, grabbing you firmly enough to turn you towards him. He flashed you a wide grin, completely ignoring the glare Ruki sent his way- he specifically had eyes on one thing and that was your chest.

Before he could lean down to bite you again, he paused after Laito slithered his way over to your side, running his gently hand along your shoulder.

Ruki: "..Hah.. You four are hopeless.. Especially you, Livestock. Besides, don't your words contradict yourself? Not being used to such attention only means you'll seek it more, doesn't it? Here.. Let me show you how much pleasure I can make you feel compared to these entitled fools.. Follow me, if you wish."

You are turned around, again, by Ruki, who pulls you into a deep kiss, immediately pushing his tongue into your mouth. It was a short kiss, Ruki acting fast just to leave you hanging and also to avoid dealing with the reactions of the Sakamaki triplets, in which he was right to do so.

After Ruki had kissed you, and practically vanished, the three purebloods seemed to stare at each other, and then you, in shock. Ayato was the one to break the silence, thinking the same thing as Kanato although he didn't say anything. Rather, he just.. stared at you, eyebrows furrowed.

Ayato: "That fuckin' bastard..! Who does he think he is, him and his stupid sly fucking-"

Laito: "Mm, how passionate~ Nfu~ Hey Bitch-chan, what're you gonna do now? Go leave and have some fun with the ever domineering Ruki-kun?~ Or perhaps you wouldn't mind staying with us?~

{ I don't really write for the diaboys, but since your ask involves Saint Yui, I'll let it slide 👀👀 btw I'm not the best at headcanons or writing for the vampires soo yanno. }

𝔖𝔥𝔲

Shu isn't exactly a fan of her glow up, and how audacious she became due to her new powers and abilities as the new vampire queen.

She couldn't care less about him anymore, and that new neglect she displays towards him rubs him the wrong way.

Yui used to be so sweet, and give him amusing reactions, now she simply looks at him like the recycling one has been procrastinating to dispose of.

Usually Shu likes to be left alone by virtually everyone, but this is Yui Komori... He still can't fathom why she doesn't avoid him out of fear, but out of annoyance.

He rates her a 3/10 now.

ℜ𝔢𝔦𝔧𝔦

Reiji hates her with a passion, for similar reasons to Shu, but he's not used to an old sacrifice claiming power that should've belonged to his family.

But a lowly human girl???

He's very mad with how she looks at him, and how she says "Is that all?", whenever he talks to her about her behavior.

Her new appearance is... Disgusting to him. Yui's dark makeup, and her new clothes that flattered her physique, and her talon like nails really annoy him.

Reiji would rate her a 2/10.

𝔏𝔞𝔦𝔱𝔬

Laito is actually very conflicted about her new power.

First, he loves how beautiful and powerful she looks, on the other hand, it's not as easy to get an interesting reaction of her.

He's slightly irritated that she's not acknowledging him, and won't even look up to talk to him.

Laito tries to be his normal self, but she doesn't seem to care, and is generally cold and apathetic towards him and his brothers.

Is he jealous that she's a lot kinder to her servants? Yes.

He'd rate her a 5/10

𝔎𝔞𝔫𝔞𝔱𝔬

Yui didn't want to deal with his bullshit, so she sent him to the dungeons the second she saw him.

Kanato was too stunned to speak and was screaming and screaming. All in vain, obviously.

Honestly, Ayato really loves her new appearance. Her new confidence and charm makes his heart flutter ever so slightly.

But still, she's now very much superior to him and that's a big no for him.

In his eyes, she's a shell of what she once was, and he'll do whatever to take her old self back. Ayato's yet to understand that she's still very kind, just not towards him.

"So hey, do you remember that time we pranked the principal?"

Treats her like an amnesiac.

Subaru is the most understanding out of all of them.

Like... He's not the fondest of her and her new attitude, so he thinks the best thing to do is to stay out of her way and to not cause problems.

Subaru gets this uncomfortable inkling whenever his brothers attempts to talk to her during their little 'reunion'.

He can't help but want to leave and tell everyone to just shut up before something bad happens from their passive aggressive behavior.

He's low-key scared of her, so he rates her a 2/10

𝔜𝔲𝔦

Yui is utterly bewildered by this new and way out of character version of herself.

Constantly asking things such as "You're me, right?" "And you're certain you're me?"

She feels ever so slightly empowered by seeing herself as some cold hearted woman who couldn't care less about the warmongering men that surround her.

However, the fact how she doesn't possess the full kindness that she once had is rather unnerving.

The old Yui wasn't anything near cruel, or cold towards people so the fact how a possibility that she ends up like the queen really scares her.

Especially since she saw the warnings outside her castle, which made her completely convinced that a pure sociopath lives in the castle that Karlheinz once did.

Due to her mixed feelings and her constant change of opinion, regular Yui rates her a 5/10.

In conclusion, none of them like her that much. But seriously, this pic just sums up Queen Yui and Regular Yui.

Decided to go with Reiji since I think he would be the most ‘gentleman’-like from those three.

Prompt 39: “I can end all of your pain. You just have to say these three words."

"I can end all of your pain. You just have to say these three words." You didn't answer, you couldn't. Partially because you still had this stubborn rebellious side inside of you who refused to take ay sort of shit from him. But also because you were currently too busy with whining and whimpering, feeling tears and snot running down your face. You felt the urge to wipe them all with the sleeve of your rather expensive sweater off, Reiji having gotten it for you as some sort of gift when you had behaved good. But that was currently not possible with him hitting your fingers over and over again with a wooden stick. You had broken one of his rules, one of this many and ridiculous rules which had only been created for the reason to keep you on a tight leash.

One of this rules was not interacting or touching his brothers in any way which you had broken, at least in his eyes. And then it had to be Shu as well, the one of his many brothers he despised more than anything else. You hadn't really intended to start anything with him at all, you had just managed to stumble over him, not noticing that he had been laying there. That guy was literally everywhere. Long story in short, you had fallen onto him in a position which had looked all too wrong, ending with Shu snarling at you how lewd you were and wanting to bite in your wrist. That had been before an enraged Reiji had found you, seen the scene and instantly told his brother aggressively to disappear in this moment.

You guessed the only reason Reiji wasn't spanking your ass now was because your begging to what had happened had managed to convince him a bit since he knew that Shu tended to lay in all the wrong places. Nevertheless, he was still jealous and furious about what he had seen and you knew that you had hold your head in for it in one or another way. But this still didn't change the fact that you felt your whole body burning up, not only because of the pain of having your fingers beaten black and blue, but also because you were ashamed.

You really wanted to just vanish in thin air. You were so weak and Reiji knew that you knew that too. He was demonstrating it after all in this very moment, punishing you for something you weren't guilty off. And the worst? You knew he knew that you wouldn't do anything against it. You didn't have the courage, not after having experienced what happened when you tried to get violent. You hated to admit it, but he had already started to shape you into his ideal lover. All you had left was this small and worthless rebellious act of refusing to say what he wanted, demanded to hear from you.

Reiji stopped suddenly, making you almost whimper in relief. Your fingers looked terrible, bloodshot red and you felt the hits deep in the bones of your fingers, the painful pounding was still a nasty sensation on them. He let an almost annoyed sigh out, oushing his glasses up his nose and giving you a disappointed look. "(y/n),", he started, his voice sounding like he was talking to a bratty and small child,"how long exactly do you plan to keep this utterly pathetic and childish silence up? Why do have humans to be such stubborn and unruly creatures?" You knew what was coming now. It was one of his lectures about why you should behave. And it never failed to make you cry, never failed to embarrass you. It was humiliating.

"You know what you did wrong, didn't you? Tell me what you did wrong and which rule you broke." His voice sounded imperious, telling you very clearly that you had to answer this if you didn't want any more pain inflicted on you. "I-I broke the third ru-rule which is to not have any sort of contact with everyone except R-Reiji Sakamaki in this house. And I bro-broke that because I touched Shu." You sounded like a blubbering mess, trying to choke your tears back. You didn't think you could move or bend your fingers in any way now, even the slightest movement of them seemed to make a new wave of pain shoot through your body. So you just kept them on Reiji's office desk, trying to focus on anything else than the pain and the painful awareness of how pathetic and vulnerable you really looked like right now. Just as Reiji intended you to look.

"If you know what you did wrong, why is it so hard for you to do as I said? What is this worthless pride of yours worth anyways? Is it really all the pain worth? You know you're nothing against me. You're weak and defenseless against my kind. I am simply superior to you and no matter what you might try, you will never reach my level. Not as long as you keep acting like an uncultivated savage. I need to admit, I'm disappointed in you. You recently seemed to make a lot of progress. But I guess I was stupid for assuming that you would be that smart. You just proved me that I shouldn't keep too high hopes for you."

Listening to it and not being able to say anything was the worst part because it just confirmed what Reiji was telling. You knew that you were under him which made all of this so much more painful for you. And you despised this feeling of wanting desperately to say something, but know that you just couldn't. You couldn't bring yourself to protest or say anything against him to save the crumbling piece of pride you had left. You just couldn't say it. The only thing you could do was sobbing even harder. Why you?

"Now, now. Stop crying like a toddler about this, you'll wet my paperwork and smear all of your snot on my office desk if you continue this. Be aware that you will be the one who has to clean it up then. It makes you appear very repulsive when you cry in such a paltry way." You bit your tongue to hold in another choked sob when hearing this. It was so twisted with him. Any other person would have comforted you by now, it he...he just chose to continuously humiliate you and make fun of your state. He was indeed a bastard, but it wasn’t like you would ever say that out loud.

“Listen, I give you one last chance to apologize now and follow my orders. If you aren’t as dumb as the rest of your kind, you will use that chance and I’ll let you get away with your accident. Or we can just continue this little session of ours in which case I can guarantee that you will look uglier even more than you already are. Instead of trying to keep up the tough act, show more gratitude that I saved you from your uncultivated and savage ways of living.” He meant it, you knew it. And you knew what the best choice would be right now.

Giving in, stop acting like a stupid and idiotic small child and do as you were told. That would be the safest option for now and if you wanted this all to stop right now, you knew you needed to be the adult Reiji wanted you to be, manipulated you into being. For a short moment you paused, going through the limited options you had left. It was either continuing to get beaten and listen to him or just apologize and having him stop hurting you and probably even attend to your wounds. For that you would have to throw the last bit of pride you currently had left away and give him the satisfaction that he had done great work on shaping you already. What would cost you more?

For a few seconds, which felt like a whole eternity for you, passed silently by, Reiji giving you a bit of time. And you felt like your brain had never worked faster, racing with thoughts of what would be the better choice. But a few seconds, despite feeling like a lot longer, weren’t enough time. The silence led you to panicking and not thinking clearly, your heart pounding in your chest and the palms of your hands becoming sweaty. And the moment you saw Reiji shaking his head disappointedly, seeing him walking closer to you, your heart dropped in your stomach, nausea starting to rise. No, not again.

“W-wait.” Your voice was hoarse and quiet, being too much used for all the crying and whimpers of pain today. Speaking up made your whole throat hurt and realize how thirsty you really were, you felt like you had just swallowed sand. But it had it’s wanted effect. Reiji stopped in his tracks, giving you a stern look, silently ordering you to continue. A short moment of hesitation, a last spark of pride. But that was before you glanced briefly over the wooden stick, only the sight of it awakening a searing pain in your still burning fingers. And that was all it took for you to throw away this troublesome pride of yours.

“I’m sorry, Reiji. I didn’t mean to do what I did. I’m sorry that I broke your rules. I’m sorry for being such an ungrateful human.” You slowly turned around to face him, trying to move your hands in a way so they wouldn’t hurt your fingers too much, but even the slightest shift of air seemed to trigger your oversensitive skin right now, making new tears prick the corner of your eyes. But that didn’t wake you up from what you were currently about to do, submit to him. He had taught you how to apologize to a person properly, by bowing their head down as a sign of respect. In this case it was submission and the only thing you could do was watching your tears dropping on the wooden floor and waiting for his reaction.

You heard his footsteps approaching you until you were able to see his polished shoes right next to you, sending his body right next to yours. “Straighten up.” You did, shooting a bit too fast it up and looking in the eyes, a fearful expression visible on your face. “And please clean your face up. I feel disgusted to look at you like this.” You flinched when he said it with such an indifferent voice, shrinking a bit together. “I have no tissue with me.”, you mumbled, fumbling with the fabric of your sweater. “Didn’t I teach you to always carry a tissue with you for exactly such cases. Well, at least you remembered to not smear it all on your sleeves. So you did pay some attention after all. Here, use mine. I can’t talk to you as long as you look so pathetic.”

You muttered a quite ‘Thank you’ out, forcing your hand to move up, face twisting by the sudden shift of air. But the worst part was definitely when you suddenly had to grab the tissue, nearly choking on another pained cry. And Reiji almost seemed amused by this, holding on the tissue fir a bit too long before letting go, watching you as you quickly cleaned your face, new tears keep flowing out due to the violent movements of your fingers.

“Now say it.” You looked a bit surprised up, blinking the tears away. You didn’t know what he meant by this, making you almost automatically bow your head. You didn’t want to ask, afraid of his sharp words. But it came anyways, Reiji noticing what you thought by your actions. “I meant that you still didn’t say the three words to me. I told you that actually several times before. You can’t have possibly already forgotten it. Or did you perhaps thought that with three words I meant ‘I am sorry’? Good grief, you’re so naive. Try to think again then. If you want to apologize properly, I need you to say those words.”

Which three words? Didn’t he mean ‘I am sorry’? What then? You felt stupid for not knowing this earlier, trying to think feverish to think about all possible three-word-sentences he could have meant. And the more time passed, the more stupid you began to feel, faltering. Were you really that dumb like Reiji said that you couldn’t even guess what he wanted from you right now?

You just became really quite for a couple of moments, eyes shooting nervously from one side of the room to another, trying to find the solution. And that’s when you suddenly stumbled upon the answer, going rigid the moment you did. “It appears like you finally figured it out. It took you a while though, we have to work on your progress time. But let’s hear for now if you really found out what I truly meant earlier. You might be wrong after all which would be very lowering.” Am expecting Look at you increased your pressure, being stuck in hesitation once again. You had to say it, you just had to. Or else you might lose your fingers.

“Well then, let’s hear it from you.” His voice was exacting, leaving no room for disobedience or the silent treatment. “I-I love you.” The words were chocked out, you felt like you had to drag them all the way up your throat and your voice nearly cracked at the end. And this wasn’t enough for Reiji, you knew it from the way he furrowed his eyebrows slightly. “Manners (y/n. We talked about this so often. You speak clearly when you talk to someone and most importantly,”, a firm grasp on your chin instantly pulled your face completely to his, pink eyes staring directly into yours,”you keep eye contact with the person. I would advice you to try it once again.”

You didn’t think that you had the strength to say this once again. But he didn’t leave you a choice in here either, the slight tugging upwards from the corner of his mouth telling you that he enjoyed what he was doing to you right now. You felt his grip on your chin tightening, a silent warning to better answer quickly and you tensed up when you felt him slowly moving further down, right towards your throat. You had to say it now or else...

“Reiji, I love you.” Slightly shaky, but you hoped you had been loud enough and that the eye contact had been steady enough for his taste. It was all up to him in the end. No matter how good you could think about something you did, in the end it was always up to him to decide whether you had a reason to feel proud of yourself or if you were just too full of yourself.

You slowly felt his grip loosening up a bit, a satisfied and yet mocking look on his face, causing your heart to clench in your heart, shattering a bit more with him winning another game of his. It made you more and more helpless every time it happened. “Good girl/boy.”

Shu Headcanon Thing

This is a high school AU. Some of this stuff might not be accurate. Thoughts in italics. Panic. That was all you knew at the moment was panic. The world was spinning around you and it wouldn't stop. Your whole day was now undeniably ruined. They ran out of pizza rolls at the school cafeteria! You could have broken down and cried but, they also served pizza on that fateful day so you gathered the courage to take it and walk away. You were a student at Ryotei Gakuen High School Academy. It was a prestigious school and only the best of the best were allowed to walk the halls. You were a music major here or so you liked to think. Music was in your blood. It was your lifeline. Without it, there was no you. Another thing you were was a vampire. Yes, a blood-sucking vampire who preyed on humans. But, this wasn't the case for you. You didn't like killing humans so you stuck with animal blood or had someone do it for you. Human blood was too addicting so you tried to stay away from it. You also ate human food as well it wasn't exactly filling but, it tasted good. You walked to the music room with your tray and opened the door. You internally groaned when you saw who was there. Shu Sakamaki. He was rumored to spend all of his time there and just listen to music. Some even say they hear some instruments being played at times. Soft, eerie, and strange music. You moved to a corner far from him. He didn't seem to notice you come in so that was good. The Sakamaki's were well known in the school mostly because of their academic achievements and correlation to Karlheinz. He was known in the human and vampire world. Very famous man. They didn't seem to want to do anything with him though. The thing you hated about them was acting like they own the place. Reiji was the up-tight prick, Kanato was just creepy, Laito was a pervert, Subaru had anger issues, and Ayato was a combination of Kanato and Laito. Shu was just the mysterious quiet one other than his noticeable laziness. Most girls were all over them. You stayed away from them because you didn't want anyone or anything to distract you from your work. You had a reputation to uphold as well. You fancied yourself as a connoisseur of music. You knew just about everything and students came to you for help in music at which you were glad to help. You looked around for the piano bench and there it was. Shu has his feet on it. (I had to get the ball rolling some way.) You grumbled to yourself and walked over to him. Big smile y/n big smile. "Um, do you mind taking your feet off the piano bench?" You stood there waiting for an answer but nothing. "Hey did you hear me?" He seemed to have earbuds in his ears. He opened his eyes and looked at you but, he closed them again. This guy has the nerve to ignore me. You were starting to get mad. You tried to remove his feet yourself but, no luck. You tried again and slipped landing in his lap. The place where you didn't want to be. You tried to get back up but, the bastard has his hands around your waist. No no no no no! You tried to pry them off but, no luck. You keep wiggling around until you hear a grunt and you feel yourself under him. "Hey! Let me go you creep!" He let out a noise that sounded like a chuckle. "And, why would I do that y/n?" His voice was that of a male just waking up. You glared at him and wriggled some more. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He whispered this in your ear making you blush. "Please let me go now. I have things to do!" He leaned into you more and it was getting very awkward. For you at least. You huffed and looked up at him. He smirked at you knowing he had you pinned quite literally. "If you don't let me go I'll pull your hair. I'll punch you and kick you!" He didn't move an inch in fact he only held you closer. You tried to elbow him but, no luck still. You used your vampire strength to push him off which caught him off guard. "So you're a vampire too huh? I had my suspicions. So you like music as well huh?" You looked at him shocked. This guy harassed you and had the audacity to talk to you so casually? "I

don't know who you think you are but, I am not the one!" (But that kid is not my son I'm sorry XD)He rolled his eyes at you. And he's sassy? Oh great. "Just trying to get to know you better no need to get hostile." You glared at him. "Sorry I guess I'll just talk to a guy who almost suffocated me!" You were being dramatic at this point but, still. He sighed and took the piano seat to the piano and started to play on it. He was playing Symphony No. 6 by Ludwig van Beethoven. It was a beautiful piece and you haven't heard anyone play this good in a while. When he was done you clapped. "Wow that was amazing I haven't heard anyone play that since I was a child." He nods and goes back to sitting on the couch. Your sixth period was about to begin so you packed up and your stuff. You looked back at Shu to see his eyes closed and his two earbuds in. "Goodbye. I'll see you later" You say this softly and leave the room hoping to see him again. You didn't hear him say "We'll see each other sooner than you think." I hoped you liked this.

Forgive me, hun, this is my first ask \uvu/, but how would the boys (S and M) react to an S/O with a thick Southern drawl? I know it wouldn't make a difference since blood is blood but I thought it would be kind of cool to see what these boys would think anyways.

Ohhhh, I grew up in the South (though not the deep south) but still this makes me really happy! Enjoy!~Mun M

Sakamakis:

Shu: He would find the accent oddly comforting. It makes him think about the amazing violin music that came from the south (while he prefers classical pieces, he can still appriciate the fiddle). Often, he’ll keep you talking until he is lulled to sleep, though he tries to play it off like he just got bored listening to your story.

Reiji: The dialect would fascinate him. He would try to map out the dialects of every town to pinpoint exactly where your tongue originated. Everytime you use a new slang word (or one that he simply doesn’t understand) he’ll write it down in a little notebook to search up later.

Subaru: The amount of concentration it takes to understand what in the bloody hell you’re saying would prove all too frustating for him. “Slow down, I don’t know what you’re saying dammit!!” Although, occasionally the incoherent syllables, and sweet, smooth sound of your words would be enough to calm a fit of his.

Ayato: Your voice makes him assume you know all the best recipies, of course! He will often demand you cook for him, and blush when he can’t pronounce the name of the dish. Everyone in this situation is bloody adorable.

Laito: He finds your accent sexy as hell! (duh) He likes to make you tap dirty, and fawns over the way you draw out your words. He admits sometimes he’s so focused on your drawl that he doesn’t even hear what you are really saying to him.

Kanato: Your words are sweet and rich like cake. Every time to spoke to him, he would try to understand how you could sound so sugary. He eats up your words hah puns and wants to learn more about your dialect, but will never readily admit it.

Mukamis:

Ruki: How is it even possible? You sound just like a character out of the old American stories he’s read. When you speak to him, he imagines you in the stories and he can’t keep the small smile off of his face “Livestock, don’t tease me with that voice…”

Yuma: All he knows is that your accent is the most perfect sound he has ever heard. It’s so incredibly sweet and low that you could probably tell him you’re going to murder him and he would still adore it.

Azusa: He appriciates how slow you speak. It truly makes him feel like he is just like you. When you’re not around, he tries to immitate your drawl, but has not yet been able to do it justice. poor cinnamon rolls tries though

Kou: “Please sing for me, M-neko-chan.” Your accent makes you sound like some kind of angel to this boy. He’s always asking you to sing with him. Something about the sing-song quality in the way you speak practically makes him turn to putty in your hands.
