Hypothetically what if karin would become the jinchuuriki (or the one of the 10 tailes, if we just act like the ending was a genjutsu) would that change the dynamics of the story? Her relationship to her team etc?

I have given this a lot of thought, even before I got this ask. Mainly because I'm always thinking 'bout what of the girls got the crazy powers and what if they were the protagonists of the story.

The first thing we need to acknowledge is that, as a character, Karin is way more cynical than Naruto ever was. Of course, that's because she was just a "common" kid, her parents were no one special in particular. However, the aspect that defines her character the most is her Uzumaki kekkei genkai, where a bite of her flesh guarantees healing to the person biting. She was physically abused and she was sexualized in ways Naruto never was. Karin as a girl suffered a different type of discrimination, the same as Karin as a survivor of a genocide that had no home, not really, so she was a refugee.

All these aspects are really important.

Naruto was rejected and isolated by Konoha, but being from Konoha was still part of his identity (in fact, that's how the manga started). He sexualized himself as a weapon against people. Like the Sage of the Six Paths would later tell him, aside of the kyubi, Naruto didn't get most of his parents' skills. Don't forget that the only reason Naruto had half as much freedom is because Minato was the one who sealed Kurama in him. Previously, the kyubi jinchuriki had to stay within a giant seal and they had to use the Uzumaki chains to keep the kyubi at bay, right?

While Iruka was the one who set Naruto on the hero path, Orochimaru was Karin's "saviour".

Do you get where I'm going?

Hypothetical scenarios where I see Karin Uzumaki somehow becoming the jinchuriki of the kyubi:

Minato and Kushina stay alive for whatever reason, which means they don't have to seal the kyubi in him and instead, Karin is selected as the next jinchuriki for her abilities and the fact she can learn to use the Uzumaki chains.

Something goes reeeally wrong, Naruto dies or is incapable of keep being a jinchuriki and they have to seal the kyubi in Karin.

To stop Obito and Madara, they had to seal a tail beast in Karin because the other jinchuriki died. This is more of a "we need to put this in a safe place to prevent Obito from stealing it"

An Otsutsuki decides to swap the characters abilities for whatever reason.

The Uzumaki clan never falls and Karin grows up in Uzushiogakure or Konohagakure as the next in line to be jinchuriki.

Konoha lost the nine tails and Karin ends up becoming the kyubi jinchuriki for whatever reason.

These are just some possible scenarios, okay?

In some variations, Karin is a nukenin (rogue nin) while being a jinchuriki, which shifts the dynamic of the story to prioritize the opposition to the corruption of the Hidden Villages. This elevates her to be more like Sasuke's equal than Naruto, in truth. She is, of course, more of a target and has less support, which spells disaster all around.

In other variations, she is part of Konoha and she shares the Uzumaki burden with Naruto. This one can shift to Karin leaving the village like Sasuke, or staying and changing her view of the world even if only a little. Naruto and Karin wouldn't have been as lonely growing up together and hey, it'd have been interesting to see Karin competing with Ino and Sakura, right?

As for the shift in Team Taka's dynamic, I believe Sasuke and Karin could have a closer friendship maybe, but the dynamic would be basically the same. They don't care that much about the skills of the other, because it's the personalities what rules their team dynamic. She'd participate more on the fights and have more protagonism, tho.

The major change would be the dynamic of Kurama and Karin and what it'd entail.

For once, I can see the craziness of Jiraiya trying to teach Karin. We're talking about the Pervert™ of Naruto and one of the most sexualized women of the entire manga. Yet, we all know how strong Konan is and she's a student of Jiraiya, so there you have that. I also think Kushina and Karin are an interesting duo, so why not believe they would have a relationship like Mito and Kushina? Or that Kushina could be the sensei of Karin genin team?

Now, if Orochimaru is her sensei... I don't know what he'd do with a jinchuriki for a student. The possiblities of that one is endless, but as a rogue nin, hiding with Orochimaru could be Karin's best option. If she had participated in the attack to Konoha in the Classic, who says the Sound and the Sand wouldn't have ended Konoha right then?

So many options, so many cool things about the jinchuriki Karin aus!

sorry i have karin brain rot, i really just, have so much i want to explore with her, because of just how separated from the outside world she has been. Literally having lived in the grass village and the isolation she suffered there from being an outsider, and an uzumaki no less who’s clan had literally been genocided to the point of near extinction.

I’d like to think she knows very little to nothing about her clan, the abilities she actually does posess, where it comes from, and it’s during the blank period (my default verse for all naruto muses) she actually starts to learn about the clan and where she had come from. Mostly because she never realized the chakra chains she might or might not have known much about stem from her heritage

And it could make her more curious as to what else about her clan has she inherited without knowing. Though with the destruction of the leaf during Pein’s assault, which probably resulted in a lot of loss papers and records, and well.....we all knowing what happened to nagato’s mom there would be very little information to go off of. Literally all she’d have is whatever people bothered to write down in other places, and the ruins of the place her mother had once lived who knows how long ago because uzumakis can live up to, if we see anything like Mito, at the very least 120+ years *naturally* and *easily* with the limit possibly being MORE because of Orochimaru’s experiments with her (since....... its not really specified what experiments he did on her??? to my knowledge??) So it could be he used her to also help learn of ways to elongate his own life by using the trait from the uzumaki clan’s ability to naturally live so long into something else or implant it into a new vessel

Which is kinda why I Hc that Karin used part of her own DNA when helping create Log and Mitsuki, because they are in a sense the “perfect vessel” that Orochimaru could create for himself, using her DNA or part of it, could allow his vessel to inherit the traits of being able to withstand (physically) the strain of orochimaru taking over the body which would only be aided by the fact it mostly would use orochimaru’s DNA/chakra/whatever, but also allow him to live a longer life within his perfect vessel without needing to switch every few years

Underrated the Uzumaki clan

Till this day, I still don’t know how the Uzumaki clan got pushed back SO MUCH

like seriously how it’s the MAIN CHARACTER’S CLAN put on the back burnner.

Anyway...

 Uzumaki Clan memebers are known for having bright, red hair, possessing incredibly strong life-forces and chakra, and their sealing Jutsu.

The Uzumaki were fear so bad nations allied together and destoryed Uzushiogakure.

  Some Uzumaki possessed a unique form of chakra with special properties which made them especially well-suited to become jinchūriki

jutsu (Mostly Seals)

Four Symbols Seal  ch 500

jutsu requires a great deal of talent to perform. The user applies the seal's formula to an object or a human's body, sealing a large enemy or an evil spirit within them. according to Bee the seal is stronger than his Iron armour seal

Reaper death seal

Only the summoner is able to see the Shinigami at this point. It then drives its arm into the summoner's soul, thus allowing the summoner to call upon the Shinigami to seal a target: the Shinigami's arm emerges from the summoner's body and grasps the target's soul

Heal Bite chap 412

ability has been shown to heal even life-threatening injuries, and is also capable of quickly restoring the stamina of those healed. This jutsu, however, rapidly depletes the user's own chakra reserves

 Adamantine Chains ( Sealing)

produce chains made out of their own chakra, which  emerge from their torso. Users control the chains as they extend outwards from their body, most commonly to wrap around targets and restrain them (Nine tails)

They also can make a barrier.

Thoughts:

It’s the fact that we litteraly know next to nothing of this clan history just the basics. The lost jutsu we could have seen. Maybe,even before the fall of Uzu. We do know that in Naruto Orochimaru was poking around the ruins learning history

Even the only reason why Naruto(Lost Kurama) was still breathing was bc he’s half Uzumaki (chap 662-663)

Mito lived around the time of third hokage still even had her red hair.

Kushina was the best in fūinjutsu and taught Minato.

It angers me to think about this.

Team 7 was apparently a team for barley 6 months. Sasuke spend barley 6 months with them. Then comes minus 1 month for the preparation for the chuunin exam (training with kakashi) and Sasukes 1 month hospital stay (after his beloved saint brother tortured him mentally and physically for hours).

So after the chuunin exam Team 7 had no mission together and after our saints visit Sasuke was not in the picture anymore for a long time till they brought that gambler into the village.

So you want to tell me, that Naruto, that blond fascist brat... chased after Sasuke for years.. he chased after someone he barely knew for 4!! damn months??

And he talks about commaradeship, friendship and brotherhood bullshit to someone he tied up at the beginning of the manga because he was fucking jealous? In the beginning in the manga it was said that Naruto is not a hard worker, he barely doesn't do anything. He doesn't train, doesn't study, doesn't work on himself but was mad and jealous over Sasuke cuz he was perfect at everything because he was not only a prodigy but because he worked hard, studied hard, worked on himself. A sharingan alone did not make him great. Hell even if the sharingan was taken away from him, he would still be the best because he's a hardworking guy. But take away Kurama from Naruto and he's nothing. A mere loser.

So after what kind of "friendship" is that blond shit after? Sasuke doesn't liked Naruto at all. Yes he helped his ass and that pink garbage ass out and that's it. And no, he doesn't had "special feelings" to pink shit. Sasuke helps everyone because he is not a shithead who helps people only to gain something in return. He does not abuse people or take advantage of them. He's a good guy that's why he helped and protected them. But on a personal level he didn't liked them. I wouldn't even say he hated them because to hate someone you need to acknowledge them first. He was indifferent to them because he saw no value in wasting his time hating them.

And Naruto chased after whom again? For years? And forced himself on him with his fascist mindset? And manipulated him?

Sasuke knows Orochimaru, Kabuto, Karin and to some extent Suigetsu (because sui was in that water tank so I suppose he didn't talked that much with him but they definitely interacted because Suigetsu was shocked when sasuke came after him and he talked in that bossy manner, which tells me that sasuke was very kind to him and also to karin because she also didn't understand why he talks in that bossy manner) more compared to that shitty team 7.... .. uhh I'll stop. I'm annoyed...again

There's a prominent misconception that everyone in the Uzumaki clan has large chakra reserves - that's not true. Their clan trait is having a powerful life force and vitality, not their large reserves of chakra. That's not to say their chakra reserves are subpar, but it's not something they are renowned for. Karin's healing abilities were also never shown to be superior to the standard Mystical Palm.

The Byakugo Seal/Mitotic Regeneration is just a subpar recompensation for lacking Hashirama's massive chakra and regenerative abilities

Anything in comparison to Hashirama's regenerative abilities would be subpar in some way or another. However, the Creation Rebirth and Naruto's healing with Kurama's chakra are the only techniques which are comparable in effectiveness to Hashirama's ability.

I assume that ignorant statement partly comes from when Madara downplayed Tsunade's medical ninjutsu while comparing it to Hashirama's regenerative abilities:

The only thing that separates them is the fact that Hashirama didn't have to be in a particular state like Tsunade and Sakura have to be in a state where the Creation Rebirth is active. However, the effects are identical.

That SK person has been here for literal years. Like back to 2014. They changed their name recently but they were originally something aria. Can’t remember the exact name. They have a long long LONG history of relentlessly harassing nh, ss, and even ns despite them pushing the “ns and sk were endgame” narrative and pretending to love Naruto and Sakura so so so much while also constantly shitting on them and saying they were horrible people who didn’t deserve sasuke and only karin understood him and deserved him. (Which is so crazy to me. Literally no one is forcing you to like a ship when you like another. Literally no one.)

They left for awhile claiming they have changed from their toxicity because they’re older— jokes on us because they’re back now still using the aria name for Ai “art,” (they’re selling the Ai “art” as well for commissions lolol) and being even more toxic than before on Twitter. Straight up saying really disgusting things that wouldn’t be allowed here on tumblr.

They’re an interesting case. They changed their name here shortly after their little confrontation with you and sneezemonster last month I think. I guess they’re trying to hide from their past and alt ai art accounts while simultaneously being just as, if not worse than before.

Ah alright I totally forgot about that Ashura/Indra thing. But let's imagine the whole Hagorome topic never happend, many people didn't liked it at all and I must admit I'm one of them. What and how would the Uzumakis be? I find it sad that Kishimoto never gave an insight to the main characters history and clan. Sure naruto is half Uzumaki but it's still important especially when it was such a famous clan. We don't know much about them so we can only assume.

They have vortex symbol on their back, what if that says something about an old technique even their own people forgot.. also some kind of Dojutsu. Maybe their ancestors had it but it's deep down in them and they don't know how to gain that power. But I don't know what ability it would be.

I disagree. He explored them as much as he needed as they weren't detrimental to Naruto's development.

This is what we know about them and their techniques:

They're distant relatives of the Senju and descendants of Ashura.

They possessed a powerful life force (which allowed Kushina to survive the extraction of Kurama, albeit she'd die regardless because of it) and were known as the "Village of Longevity".

They have great chakra levels. Karin's quantity of chakra allows her to heal those who bite her, including herself -it's unknown if such a condition came naturally or not, but it's likely (since she also has to bite herself in order to heal and it's not something she can do unconsciously like Hashirama), that it was the result of Orochimaru's experimentation with her. In the same manner, Nagato's chakra pool allowed him to use Madara's Rinnegan without dying.

They excelled in Fuinjutsu and were targeted because of it. Mito became the first Jinchuuriki (Juinjutsu) and Minato's seals were taught to him by Kushina (albeit his signature technique was Tobirama's).

Some of its members (like Karin and Mito) developed or had an affinity for the "Eye of the Kagura", which is the ultimate sensing technique that allows them to sense different presences through long distances, being capable of sensing even the smallest hints of chakra. Regardless, most, if not all, of its members were sensors.

No. It's not a vortex, it's a whirlpool, and it has to do with their village, which was an island called "Land of Whirlpools".

They were incredibly strong and complicated to defeat, there's a theory that states that it was Mist who destroyed them during the Second War by kidnapping one of its members and rudimentarily sealing a jinchuuriki inside them, when they inevitably lost control of the tailed beast, it killed most of them and destroyed the city (the exact same plan was later on tried with Rin, which failed as she killed herself through Kakashi's chidori).

I think they had a lot going on for them, there's no need to give them a doujutsu -their sealing techniques allowed them to seal human beings, create jinchuurikis, and pretty much anything they wanted.

I would like to read a story based on them if it was written by Kishimoto, but I don't think they needed more techniques than they had.

Fireball Jutsu, Twin Lion Fists, 64 Palms, Susano'o, Rotation, Chidori, AND not even getting into the fact the hypothetical Child would not only be of Hagoromo AND Hamura's lineage (just like Boruto and Himawari) but could've also unlocked a Brand New Doujutsu if Boruto's Jougan is any indication. (Who knows if it would've still been Jougan or a Sharingan-Jougan hybrid)

Now let's look at the possibility of a

NaruSaku Child

Now how do we judge how a Naruto and Sakura Offspring would've turned out?

Well let's take a look at their actual Kids

Naruto + Sakura = A Child born between a 1/2 Blood Uzumaki and an a Full Blood Haruno (lol) would result in...

A 1/4 Uzumaki and 1/2 Haruno Mix.... With Shadow Clones, Rasengan, Sage Mode from Jiraiya and Super Strength inherited from Tsunade (lol)

Judging by Boruto and Himawari, this kid wouldn't have the Uzumaki Stamina since neither of them appear to have high Chakra Reserves. Unfortunately it's too diluted since they are only 1/4 Uzumaki

Rasengan and Sage doesn't come from Naruto but rather Jiraiya

Strength and Byakugo Seal doesn't come from Sakura but rather Tsunade (and Mito)

There's no guarantee that they would've gotten Tsuna-er I mean Sakura's Healing Jutsu either (Sarada is terrible at it and she doesn't use it at all in the Manga)

Now let's take a Look at where Boruto, Himawari, and Sarada's Strengths lie

BORUTO HAS:

THE JOUGAN : Confirmed to be a Doujutsu that laid dormant within Boruto and Toneri activated sooner. Now why do you think Toneri did this? Do you honestly think this was because of Naruto? Or the Girl that Toneri actually fell in love with?

KARMA/KAMA: Boruto was confirmed by the Databooks to have acquired Momoshiki's Karma because of his Byakugan Blood. Specifically his Hamura Chakra. Now who's side of the Family did he get that from?

SHADOW CLONES: From Naruto

RASENGAN: From Jiraiy-er Naruto 😅

GENTLE FIST: From Hinata

So in reality, Boruto clearly got more benefits from his Mom's side to be as Strong as he is.

SARADA HAS:

SHARINGAN: Is a given from Sasuke of course

FIREBALL JUTSU: From Sasuke

CHIDORI: From Sasuke

GENJUTSU: From Sasuke

SUPER STRENGTH: From Tsuna-er Sakura 😅

It's clear who's Genes Sarada is relying on more

HIMAWARI HAS:

BYAKUGAN: From Hinata

GENTLE FIST: From Hinata

That's.... about it really for now. Yet she's was just acknowledged by the current Strongest Character in the Manga at the moment to have really Strong Power to the point where he was shocked by it (and as of yet NO ONE ELSE in the Manga has spooked him this much)

And as far as we can see, given the above, this because of her Mom's Genes 😄

Boruto and Himawari got their Benefits from their Mom.

Sarada gets her benefits from her Dad

Sasuke literally HAD to get with Sakura in order to keep his child from overshadowing Naruto's lmao 🤣 😂 💀

I would like to point out that both Boruto and Himawari do have large charka reserves just not Naruto size since they weren't practically born with Kurama inside them constantly mix his own chakra with theirs. Boruto can make 4-5 shadow clones before becoming a genin when it needs Jonin level chakra.

As for Sarada you are right, but she did not inherit Sakura's chakra control as talent in medical jutsu is bad. Meaning her chakra enchanted strength will always be less then Sakura's and she will likely never get the seal which even Shizune in all her eyes never gotten.

So Sakura contributes almost nothing to her child and what she does give are downgraded from what she actually has.

As where Hinata has been confirmed to contributed a good deal of hers and Naruto's children talents.

No matter how you look at it Sakura is bringing down her children talent wise and most she can teach them medical jutsu and even then they need a decent talent in it which as shown isn't guaranteed to be inherited.
