no because the potential of a jedi/force sensitive Sabine is so cool? she could have been the uniter of mandalorians and jedi- two groups who have fought one another for so long, and who have so little but so much in common?? who both experienced genocide and cultural destruction??
imagine just imagine the new jedi order being set up in mandalorian space, and the two groups teaching each other their different beliefs, and helping each other to overcome trauma and relearn their traditions
thinking about them becoming the protectors of the outer rim…. the ones small rim worlds outside the view of the new republic turn to for help
canon just can’t have it because if they worked together there’s no way the first order would have survived past infancy lol

Scenarios I would want in a Star Wars What If? Series:
Ahsoka as Obi-Wan’s padawan.
Anakin found by the Jedi as an infant.
Anakin found by the Sith as an infant.
Obi-Wan kills Anakin on Mustafar
Bail takes Luke and Leia goes to the Larses
Ahsoka rejoins the Order after the events of “The Wrong Jedi”
Dooku takes Yaddle’s hand
Sidious fails to kill his master in his sleep.
Non-pacifist Mand’alor Satine (I just want to see Satine in armor okay?)
Jar Jar Binks, Rebel Agent
Rex is the one who executed Krell instead of Dogma.
Anakin listens to Mace and sits tight while the Council fights Sidious.
Plo Koon somehow gets the Darksaber.
Force Sensitive Sabine Wren
Force Sensitive Jyn Erso
A single member of Rogue One survives
Leia’s ship isn’t caught by Vader
Owen lets Obi-Wan train Luke
Owen and Beru die when Luke is young
Ezra runs into Luke on Tatooine when looking for Obi-Wan

Saw someone call Sabine selfish for what she did in Ahsoka as compared to Kanan and Ezra’s respective sacrifices in Rebels, and that now she’s suffering the consequences because of her actions.
Hold all the way the fuck up, please.
Selfish???
SELFISH???
Sabine lost a decent chunk of her family the day Kanan died and the day Ezra got tossed across the universe in an attempt to stop Thrawn. She lost the rest of her family during the Great Purge on Mand’alor.
Can you imagine loosing your entire family when it’s one of the most vital parts of who you are? Do you not remember what she told Kanan during her dark saber training?? Family was //everything// to her. Can you imagine the survivors guilt she must be feeling after everything that’s happened??
Truly baffles me to my core that the effort she put into getting Ezra back is just labeled as selfish. Sure Hera, Zeb, and Ahsoka are technically still around, but I can’t blame her for clinging to the hope that Ezra’s alive out there, waiting for her to bring him back.
He’s all she has left. I don’t blame her one bit for trying, and I don’t think it’s selfish of her.
Ugh.

Rewatching Trials of the darksaber, and personally, I think if anyone should be teaching Din Djarin how to wield the darksaber, it should be Sabine Wren.
Bo Katan might be there with Din and capable of using it, but that doesn’t make her a capable teacher. She’s always had a clear sense of purpose and her role in the galaxy, so it’s possible that she never struggled to wield the saber, and consequently couldn’t relate to Din’s struggles. To her, the darksaber might be just another sword. Hell, she might even be more likely to consider challenging him for it rather than helping him if she finds out that he hasn’t connected with it. She's shown that reclaiming Mandalore and her status are high priority to her, firstly by her reaction to Din winning the Darksaber and secondly by her bitterness at having been abandoned by her followers. I'm hoping that she'll prove to be more honorable than that, but it would not surprise me if she isn't.
Sabine, on the other hand, was taught by a Jedi, and the experience was an incredibly difficult and demanding one. She has a unique perspective on Mandalorian culture and values, particularly after everything with her family and with the Specters. In all likelihood, Din Djarin would seem to be the perfect Mandalorian to her, and the perfect candidate for becoming Mand'alor. He struggles with his sense of worth, he embodies the honor of the creed, and he embraced the found family aspects of Mandalorian culture. On top of all that, he's a great warrior and tactician, he's a capable leader, and he cares powerfully for his fellow Mandalorians. So if they meet, I have little doubt that she would immediately consider him to be a potential leader for their people.
Once again, she herself already had to learn how to wield the darksaber, and the lessons she learned were demanding. She had to face up to and relive traumatic events in her past to be able to wield it, and in a rather short time. And technically, she won the darksaber in combat from Gar Saxon before giving it to Bo Katan, so technically, she may still have a claim to it. If anyone has the right to teach Din, it's her. If anyone can sympathize with his difficulties, it’s her. If anyone can explain why he can’t really connect to it, it’s her. If anyone can understand the burden of having the darksaber fall unwanted into your possession, it’s her. And if anyone can recognize his worth as a potential Mand’alor, it’s her. Sabine Wren could teach Din Djarin how to use the darksaber, and in doing so, she can fulfill the promise she made long ago outside her family's estate to find the one worthy of wielding the darksaber and leading her people.

Last Line Challenge
Rules: in a new post, show the last line you wrote (or drew) and tag as many people as there are words (or as many as you feel like).
Thanks to @machinerismsx & @bosooka & @btwxsixesandsevens for the tags !!!!
so I'm actually going to offer two lines/snippets, because I literally just finished a snippet for the Shin Tano AU discord and the piece that's in my folder from the Western AU that can be found here!
Shin Tano AU Act 4 (Mentions of NSFW!)
Being able to press their head into the soft warmth of Sabine’s chest, the blonde finally released a heavy sigh. “Thank you-“ “Dude-“ fingers tapped against her chin until their eyes met once again. “We’re married, you don’t have to thank me for sex- and also, you ate me out-“ “And I’m thanking you for the meal, you’ve done it before-“ Sabine paused, cheeks warming as her head turned. “Hey, sometimes I forget you know Mando’a, and that was years ago- I can’t be blamed for things I said when I was someone’s prisoner-“ a finger pressed accusatorily into their shoulder, though there was no real malice in her words. “A bitch was going through it, leave me alone.” “Didn’t you have a meeting with the Mand’alor?” Shin leaned back with a smirk on their lips, wiping the drying slick from their chin with a mischievous grin. “Dude, they were going into the armory to fuck, you saw them-“ “I was more focused on dinner, actually-“ Sabine winced as she remembered the sight of broad shoulders and soft fur brushing past her. “Yeah, something tells me the Mand’alor was too-“
Reforged Chapter Two
"Why should we listen to her?!" Someone spat from the thick throng of their group, a fiery glare sent towards the redhead as she shifted on her mount. The question seemed to unsettle their entire squad as several other poorly muted conversations cropped up, all loudly asking the same thing. Before Din could break it up, Paz was pulling himself onto a boulder against the mountainside, still carefully nursing his injured arm. "We'll listen to her because that is my son!" His steely gaze rounded into Bo-Katan. "And because it is the way our people have survived, ya'll know these kids are all we've got!" His hand raised to remove his hat, greasy hair falling in his face as he bowed his head to the outsider. "Now you two get up that mountain, and show those sons'abitches what happens when you fuck with a Mandalorian." With the fire under their asses relit once more, Bo-Katan was able to lose herself in the familiar ache of her muscles as she scaled the cliffside, Din only feet below, and the rest of the covert only growing smaller the higher the pair went, searching for safe handholds and letting rocks clatter the rest of the way down.
No pressure tags! @femmefighter & @stellanslashgeode & @loreensdarling

i cant get over how they really thought mando s3 would to over well. there’s just no real way they actually thought most viewers gaf about bo katan enough for her to take the leading spot and din djarin (the actual main character) having no arc, growth, or anything of purpose.
it’s just so baffling to push aside the main character in favor of another character who had only been in a total of 2 episodes before this season. i’m so serious when i say i’m not interested in seeing bo katan or really any of the mandos in s3 ever again. after 3 shows of absolute shit writing i just have had enough with her in particular lmao. like i’m sick of things happening to her with no build up and the viewers are just supposed to roll with it. a character across three different shows and in each show she’s fighting someone different to become mand’alor. ENOUGH‼️‼️‼️
and i think the part that made s3 even more grueling was the complete lack of chemistry din and bo had. i was excited to see s3 to see DIN, and to see how his story would progress - he had no progression, and most of his scenes were with a character who he has no chemistry with. i’m not even talking about romance because i don’t think that’s what they were trying to do in s3 at all, they didn’t even have chemistry as friends. their scenes made me feel uncomfortable af and by episode 6 I was skipping around the episodes to avoid the awkward scenes.
in the end the entire season felt awkward because this show has always been about din djarin and grogu first and foremost, and they were both noticeably pushed to the side this time in favor of a character whose had their chance multiple times. if they want to focus on bo katan, then they need make a show about her and not just decide she’s the main character now on another character’s show. and i need people to stop with the “the mandalorian was never about only din djarin/it’s called the mandalorian not din djarin” bullshit because y’all know DAMN WELL din djarin has been the lead since s1. it opened with him and has followed HIM since. even in s2 when a bunch of characters were introduced, it still felt like it was his show and he had an actual arc. it wasn’t until s3 when he was noticeably not the focus anymore.
anyway. i’m happy s3 ended with him not bothering to say goodbye to anyone and just going to nevarro with only grogu so they can start nazi hunting for the new republic. this allows them to more easily get involved in thrawn’s mess and the ghost crew. i much rather him just interact with ahsoka, hera, sabine, zeb and ezra instead tbh like for one i already know din has ACTUAL chemistry with ahsoka and their scenes don’t make me feel uncomfortable so that’s already a plus. and then grogu can be BFFs with jacen or something. just don’t try that shit you did in s3 ever again jon favreau im so serious

Y’know what, technically nothing in canon explicitly disproves the idea that, immediately after Rebels S4, Sabine had an Oh Shit moment where she realized she absolutely should not have given the Darksaber to Bo-Katan because Bo-Katan is a known terrorist who played a huge part in killing Mandalore’s last real leader, Satine. So she hauls ass back to Mandalore, defeats Bo-Katan in combat for the saber, and then triple-times as the protector of Lothal, an active member of the rebellion, and the leader of a whole planet/culture for the next ~5 years before deciding that everything’s stable enough that she can go after Ezra. She temporarily gives the Darksaber back to Bo-Katan (who has gone through a whole redemption arc by now) so she can protect Mandalore while Sabine’s gone. And then Bo-Katan loses it again.

ty for the tag @soloorganaas! i’ve been writing devastating clan wren shit, here is some of it
tw character death (mentioned) & ahsoka spoilers
“Ahsoka! Thank the —,” The holoprojection of Bo-Katan Kryze lit up the room before Ahsoka had a chance to even flick the lights on. Even in holoprojection form, Ahsoka could catch tired, bloodshot eyes, a tattered flight suit, and battered armor.
“Bo-Katan,” Ahsoka cut her off before the compassionate part of her brain could wake up, “We agreed, no contact unless there was an emergency.”
“This doesn’t look like a fucking emergency to you?” Bo-Katan yelled back at her angrily.
Ahsoka suddenly had goosebumps all over — Sabine could hear them, she felt it.
“What happened?” Ahsoka asked, lowering her voice in hopes that Bo-Katan would do the same. These damn old holoprojectors had only one volume setting.
“Where is Sabine?” Bo-Katan sighed with a hint of irritation in her voice. At least it was quieter.
Ahsoka swallowed. This wasn’t supposed to be happening. “Asleep,” was her answer, “It’s the middle of the night.”
Bo-Katan visibly deflated at her response. Increasingly, Ahsoka didn’t want to hear the rest of the story. Darkness hung over Bo menacingly, but Ahsoka hadn’t felt any disturbance in the Force that would leave a Mandalorian’s armor chipped and eyes full of tears.
They made this agreement almost a year ago — no contact with or about Mandalore, especially since the fighting on Mandalore hadn’t stopped after Jakku. Bo-Katan spread the word to the Wrens, who complied with the agreement, if a bit begrudgingly. Ahsoka wanted to limit Sabine’s attachments for her training; she felt that finding Ezra could be a guiding force behind Sabine’s actions, but familial attachments that could be limited needed to be. Attachments made Jedi vulnerable to their anger and fears, and Sabine was no exception. Although her connection to the Force was weak, Sabine could become dangerous if she tapped into the Force with anger.
For Bo’s part, she mainly agreed to Ahsoka’s terms because she truly wanted to keep Sabine away from Mandalore. Yes, it was honorable to fight for her homeworld, but at this point, it was smart to keep Sabine away and make sure that if all else failed, there would be a potential Mand’alor somewhere in the galaxy. Someone needed to be able to unite them if Bo-Katan was struck down, if only Mandalorian remnants existed, and she was confident in Sabine of Clan Wren to do so. But that meant keeping her in the dark. Until now.
“What happened, Bo?” Ahsoka’s tone was softer. She could still feel Sabine listening. This was going to happen whether she liked it or not.
“The fighting’s over,” Bo-Katan’s brow furrowed, and she pinched the bridge of her nose, “My forces had to retreat. Clan Wren…,” she trailed off. Her jaw was clenched like she didn’t want to let any more words out.
Ahsoka just looked at her expectantly.
“Clan Wren is gone,” Bo-Katan’s voice broke over the words, she cleared her throat to continue, “Sabine is the last of her line.”
As Bo cleared her throat, Ahsoka heard the door behind her hiss open. This is happening, this is happening, this is happening.
“What?” Sabine’s voice was incredulous behind Ahsoka.

ok so i finally got around to the latest episode because school has been kicking my ass and the only thing i have to say is . . . what the fuck.
although this is probably my second favorite episode of season 3, some of the writing choices are blowing my mind. din giving bo-katan the dark saber EXACTLY LIKE SABINE DID IN REBELS is crazy. the literal exact same thing already happened and blew up in her face and she talked about in the end of season 2 how she can’t just take it, it’s her honor, etc etc and through a loophole she’s just . . . accepting it again?
din spent time in seasons 1 and 2 and even the beginning of season 3 learning not all droids are bad with IG-11 and R5 and even the mechanic droids in bobf but in this episodes he goes back to hating droids again with a passion. they nerfed his fighting skills this season so bo-katan could shine even tho there is no reason why him being good at fighting should impact her ridiculous storyline anyways
i’ll be honest i’m a fan of din becoming mand’alor, but i’m not mad he got rid of the darksaber when he didn’t want it in the first place. i’m upset at this season because they shelved his character development, bo-katan is the main character even tho she was a terrorist and nobody talks it about it, the dialogue is horrible in some spots, and the side quests have nothing to do with the overarching plot. the mandalorian doesn’t need to have main action in every single episode, but at least in previous seasons the side quests made sense in terms of getting info, owing favors, gathering allies, etc. now it’s just lets fight a giant pterodactyl and random pirates and THE MAIN VILLAIN OF SEASONS 1 AND 2 BREAKING OUT OF PRISON BUT NOT SHOWING IT ON SCREEN.
the last two episodes are directed by rick famuyiwa so im holding out hope but idk man

For those of you who would looooove content that is just straight badass Mando (not that there is something wrong with smut but come on??)
(Re)convene Time travel, whole gang of Ezra, Din, Boba, Fennec, Omega, Ashoka, we go fuck palp up!
According To Creed Every chapter is like a new episode of The Mandalorian, kinda awesome ;3
All hail the Mand'alor Wholesome badassory, where everything is great <3 Now this one is a little tricky with it’s chronological order. I don’t really agree with the authors choice. I might be wrong, but here is how i would read it;
The found The name (first chapter) The council The historian The legend The temple The name (fourth chapter) The name (second chapter) The name (third chapter) The name (sixth chapter) The leader The name (fifth chapter) The son The name (seventh chapter) The name (eighth chapter)
All help us survive Din forces Boba to be part of the mandoade 😆 Aliit ori'shya tal'din A uncompleted story about a dad failing to not adopt every child he meets.
An Unworthy Hand Seconds after Grogu was taken away by Luke, what was going on in Din's mind?
All the story's A ridiculous and comedic story of "what happens after Din leaves with Grogu after Tattoine". Sadly, the author discontinued the story since the didn’t know how to keep it going...
Back in Beskar Another hilarious story of what happens after Grogu and Luke takes off in season 2. XD
Mand'alor'ika DIN IS TINY!!! I REPEAT, DIN IS TINY!!!! (adult mind in tiny body back in time)
Blow in Like a Hurricane (Everyone Will Know my Name) Nobody seems to realise that the unsuspecting Din is actually Mand'alor. Including Luke and Leia XD Buir Everyone’s POV on the Dadalorian and Grogurt.
Clones and Kings Rex gets a task from Ashoka, "Take care of this dude. He is a magnet for disasters" Curse and Cure Din takes (tries) his role as the Mand'alor with some help from Luke, Leia and other members of the universe. Demons Run When a Good Man Goes to War Evil people has done something bad to someone (it's Grogu, always is), and Din is royaly pissed off. Din Djarin and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Time Travel Incident Time travel, Din meets Anakin and Obi. Anakin is convinced that Din is some oooold Mandalorian.
Filling the Empty Nest Din figures out what to do with himself after season 2, misses Grogu, and somehow ends up rebuilding Mandalore. From Foundling to Father Din is eight. Gets rescued. His dad learns how to be a dad to him. (I seriously wish the author will continue the story T.T) Short works Some sad some interesting. Honor thy Clan What would happen if most of the survivors after the purge was children? General Mudhorn (and the time traveling bush) Just like the title says, plus som time travel Grogu's Adventures in Acquiring a Buir Grogus POV from the beginning to the moment Luke takes him away. Homebound Ain’t some teenage angst Ben Solo going to stop the might Grogu! if love is the answer, you're home Din is just being a dad, missing his son. And then there is Luke who is really bad at tracking.. In harmony The ehh.... the armor is alive... The Mand’alor and the Jedi These stories are by faaaar the best ones out there. I can’t give the author enough love. The writing, the pacing, all the characters that stays.... I can’t recommend it enough! If you love The Mandalorian, then you will DEFINITELY love these works!!!!!! Lost in time The clones Rex, Cody and Fives travel forward in time. Din's dad instincts kicks in. Mandalorian Menace Time travel, Din adops Anakin. F*** you Jedi more alike than apart Din and Sabine doing a heist and become mandosiblings (boba and Din are bros)😎 My Neighbor, My Neighbor, and Me Modern AU Din and others No Holy Cities Around the time when Din is introduced to the mandalorians. Nowhere King Time travel. Din has been Mand'alor for a long time, and then... the most horrible happens... he comes from nowhere and plans to fix the galaxy. Only the Parent You Will Be Hera Syndulla and Din Djarin's children call to each other and then stuff happens. Oya Manda'lor! (15 years and up (cus this ain’t america), warning of smut) This one is mostly 98% badass buuut... ehh... there is mentioning of smut.. and the other works of the same person... is hella ssmutty 😳 Time travel, Din meets Jaster. Phoenix Rising: Stronger Together Duology (15 years and up (cus this ain’t america), warning of smut) This one... again, mostly badass, around 89% badass. There is smut😑 Din is in pieces after Grogu left with Luke. Ashoka comforts him and Bo-Katan is a bitch. Ring out the song of the Midnight Blade Din and the darksaber takes on the empire. Highly recommend that you listen to the song at the same time you read this one. https://youtu.be/toJD2eJ4zvo Suddenly, I'm Respectable AU in which Bail and Breha Organa have a backup plan in place for Leia's rescue. The Consequences of Wearing a Touchy Mystical Laser Sword Din (and some others (not gonna tell😉)) shrink to their child sizes and try to fix the galaxy. Some humor, hehe. The Deserter Okey... everyone is allowed to pine for Din, but Din is as sexual as a brickwall!!!! The Pros and Cons of Time Travel and Force Visions Time travel. Mando being (as usual) a himbo, while senators and Jedi try to understand the situation... The Way of Conquest Time travel. Me, the force, Yoda and the author are giggling like maniacs 8D Truth and Consequences Okey soooo this one doesn’t really have Din in it... much... Tor Vizla and Jaster Mereel gets bonked on their heads by their grandchildren. The Mandalorian and the Rebel Spy Cassian gets adopted by Din's buir and they, sort of, grews up together. They're Gonna Give You Hell This one is by far the funniest shit ever🤣 do NOT read where you need to be quiet!! (i accidentally laughed in a quiet auditorium...) Time is a social construct Time travel, Din adopts Satine and Obi. Trust Luke travel to Mandalor and training begins. Vortex Amnesia for Din, he only remember that Grogu left. Nope. 2 years have gone by! You Can Worship the Ashes Time travel. Din saves Fives. you were only waiting for this moment to arise Rey gets (sort of) adopted by Din.

The Price of Peace - a Wolfwren fanfiction
A/N: Hello everyone! I've just begun posting a new multi-chapter fic. It's based on the romance between Obi-Wan and Satine, but this time it's Shin and Sabine. I hope you'll enjoy it :) Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole thing, the link will be at the end!
Shin could count how many times she’d left Coruscant on one hand. This would be her sixth times, officially calling for the use of a second hand to count. They were bound for Mandalore. She sat in the co-pilot seat, watching the stars flash around them, boxing their small ship into a tunnel of light. Baylan sat on the other side of the cockpit, his gaze not on the galaxy around them but on his padawan.
“What is the title given to the leader of Madalore?”
Shin had to tear her eyes away from the lights. She looked back at her master, then her gaze fell to the ground as she searched her memory. She’d been given a crash course on Mandalorian politics by the librarian before leaving, but it had been pretty late at night and she had fallen asleep on her desk four times in an hour.
“The Mandalore?”
“Mand’alor. It has been a long time since the Mandalorians have chosen a Mand’alor, hence yet another civil war.”
“Master, if this is the third civil war in as many generations, what can we truly do to help them?”
Baylan sighed. Shin knew her master wasn’t entirely thrill by their assignment, but it had been too long since he had been given any mission, and the Council knew that. Whatever the case may be, Shin was determined to make the most of the assignment.
“We will do what the Council has asked of us. We will protect the Countess Wren for as long as is required.”
The ship let out a beep, indicating they would soon exit hyperspace. Baylan turned his attention back to the controls and Shin imitated him. While her master wasn’t thrilled about joining a civil war, Shin wasn’t thrilled about their target. She imagined the Countess to be like all the politicians in Coruscant, probably old and full of ideas that would be impossible to execute even in the best of times. The kind of politicians who practiced their cordial smiles in the mirror every morning. This Countess was apparently the Mandalorians’ greatest chance at peace. Shin couldn’t quite believe that.

Why are people so adamant about Din becoming the Mand’alor??? that man never wanted it. He wants to raise Grogu in peace and chill the fuck out. He knows people, but he doesn’t have the leadership skills- he’s been a solo bounty hunter for YEARS. He doesn’t know how to wield the Darksaber and fights against it (much like Sabine used to); he swings it like a bat! A SWORD! LIKE A BAT! THIS ISN’T ELDEN RING GREATSWORD TO SWING AROUND LIKE A BAT!! ITS BLASPHEMY!!

📝 + wait
Ooh, so many options! this one is a little sillier than others, but it also has "wait" like three times, sooooo...
Behind him, Sabine is muttering to herself. “Oh, my gosh. Wait. Wait. Hold on. Wait. Oh my gosh I’m in love with you.” “Yeah, and I’m the Mand’alor.” “Oh my gosh Ezra you’re the Mand’alor.”
