Eddie shrugged, even though Richie couldn’t see it throughthe phone. His laptop was open on his lap, MyMathLab staring back at him on oneof the last problems of the night’s homework.

“I think I did the last wrong one,” Eddie replied. They always took turns entering their answers so if they messed up, only one of them would get it incorrect. It was absolutely saving their math grades.

“Okay, I’ll do it,” Richie said. Eddie waited a moment forRichie to enter their answer and see if they’d gotten the problem correct.After a moment, Richie yelled indignantly. “It’s doing the fucking thing again!It says the correct answer is 26.4, my answer exactly matches, and it’s sayingI got it wrong!”

Eddie sighed. This happened at least twice on each homeworkassignment. Technology was such bullshit. “Let me try.”

The computer told him he got the correct answer. When hetold Richie, he began cursing. Eddie laughed. “Calm down, dude, last one. I’llgo first so you don’t lower any more of your precious score.”

“Don’t make fun of me for wanting good grades, Edward,”Richie said haughtily. “Some of us are trying to keep our scholarships.”

“Some of us?” Eddie asked incredulously. “Both of us are onscholarships, dumbass. And making a B on one homework assignment out of thethirty we have this semester is not going to do much damage. Homework is 10% ofour –“

“Eds, I gotta be honest, I stopped listening,” Richieinterrupted. “Let’s finish so I can go jack off.”

“Richie!” Eddie felt his cheeks heating up. He hated that,hated that even after almost 15 years of friendship Richie could still make himas red as a tomato. It hadn’t always been that way. When they were in theirearly teens, Eddie had mostly felt slight disgust at Richie’s sexual comments. Asmuch as he wanted to, he didn’t see anything appealing about girls or boobs orvaginas and the fact that they seemed to be Richie’s favorite topic was generallyan annoyance.

That had changed when Richie had made his first commentabout fucking Bill’s dad instead of Eddie’s mom, which was how he’d decided to tell his friends he wasbisexual. They’d been 16. Eddie still wasn’t interested in girls, but at leastby that age he knew why. From that point on the blush appeared any time Richiementioned sex, mostly because Eddie had begun to picture what Richie might looklike; he never imagined another person with Richie, more just a blurry blob ofa human (for his own sanity). Unless Richie had specified someone – not so muchEddie’s mom or Bill’s dad, his two favorites, more like one of the Losers orsomeone from school – he managed to keep his fantasizing brain under control with the mental images.But when he did specify someone, Eddie didn’t blush. Didn’t feel the awkwardtingly sensation is his hands, didn’t feel his stomach swoop. He felt that sameannoyance from when he was young.

It became clear quickly that this feeling was jealousy.Because as much as Richie called Eddie cute cute cute and pinched his cheeks,Richie had never made that kind of comment about him. He hated how aware he wasthat he was the only person in the Losers Club that Richie hadn’t joked abouthaving sex with. Which – as much as he tried not to think about it – was stupidbecause he was so far up Richie’s ass in love with him that it wasn’t even funny.He shouldn’t want Richie to joke about having sex with Eddie when Eddieactually wanted to have sex with Richie. But he felt singled out in the worstway. Was he that childish to Richie? Too cute cute cute, too much like a kid? Didhe still imagine Eddie walking around in short shorts and a fanny pack? He knewRichie didn’t actually think he was cute – it was just a bit, like a hundredothers he had, but sometimes he wondered if Richie found him unattractive, tothe point that he wouldn’t even joke about sex with Eddie.

What Eddie hated most was how often he thought about it. Hehated that he knew all of the comments Richie had made to their friends overthe years, hated that he knew which of Richie’s comments would make him blushand which would make him jealous. He wanted to just see Richie as a friend,because then it wouldn’t matter and Eddie’s brain could think about normalthings, like their shared freshman algebra course or remembering which hallwaythe tutoring center was on.

“Did you get 9.8?”

Eddie blinked. As he’d been sitting in silence,contemplating Richie and his sex jokes, Richie had actually been doing theirhomework.

“Uh, yeah,” he said, glancing at his scratch paper.

“Did you even do it?” Richie asked.

“Uh, yeah,” Eddie repeated.

Richie snorted. “What have you been doing the last fiveminutes, watching porn?”

Eddie shut his eyes tightly. How could he have forgotten?The only type of sex joke Richie did direct at him. He cleared his throat. “No,I’m not watching porn.”

Even he could tell he sounded oddly defensive. He wasn’tlying! He wasn’t watching porn!

“That…” Richie paused, laughter in his voice. “That didn’tsound convincing, Eds.”

“Deflecting?”

“No!” Eddie exclaimed, feeling his cheeks get even hotter.He rested his forehead in his palm.

“Are you sure?” Richie asked, almost sounding… curious. “Becauseyou’re definitely acting like you do when you’re lying. You’re a bad liar andyou should stop trying. Were you seriously watching porn while we’re doing ourhomework?”

“I wasn’t!” Eddie claimed. “You would’ve been able to hearit over the phone!”

Richie paused like he was mulling it over. Eddie pushed hislaptop off his lap, scooting back on his bed until his back was against thewall. When Richie spoke again, he sounded teasing. “So if you weren’t watchingsex then you must have been thinking about it.”

Eddie choked. “I – no! I wasn’t!”

“Oh my god, you were!” Richie crowed. He was laughing andEddie wanted to crawl under his covers and never come back out. “What were youthinkin’ about, then? What gets little Eds going?”

Eddie no longer wanted to crawl under his covers to hide. Hewanted to die. Little Eds. He would die and then he would haunt Richie’s stupidass.

“Why have we never had this conversation before? What kindof best friend am I that I don’t even know what gets my best friend off?”

“The normal kind,” Eddie said, his eyes still squeezed shut.

“No, this is important information. What do you search forwhen you visit PornHub? Do you have a favorite category?”

“Oh my god,” Eddie muttered, wondering if it were possibleto be even more embarrassed than he was right then.

Richie took a moment to answer. His tone was serious when he spoke. “No, I like shorter guys.”

Eddie was hardening with each word Richie spoke. Richie was just talking about sex - in a vague way! - and it was already getting him going. This was –this was awful and terrible and wonderful and he wanted it to stop, to end, tokeep going forever.

“Oh,” he answered, wincing at the breathlessness in hisvoice.

“Yeah, uh,” Richie’s voice was lower, Eddie was sure of it.He bit his lip. “I like ‘em smaller, ‘cause then I can – I like to… You know, Ilike – I like a guy under me that I can – uh – like, cover every inch ofhim.”

“Oh my god,” Eddie groaned, feeling his stomach tighten ashe stroked himself faster, letting the phone go and holding it to his ear withhis shoulder. He reached down with his free hand and pressed a finger to the skin behindhis balls, coming with a gasp.

He stroked himself through it, hearing Richie’s heavybreathing as he came back down.

“Hold fuck,” Richie muttered when their panting hadsubsided.

“Yeah,” Eddie agreed, glancing down at his now messy shirtwith a frown. Then, unable to help it, he asked, “Did you mean it? When yousaid you – that you always…”

“Of course I did,” he said softly. Eddie opened his mouth toanswer but Richie kept going. “You were my fucking gay awakening, are youkidding?”

“I – what?”

Richie huffed out a laugh. “I’ve been jerking it to you foryears, Eds.”

The blush was back. “Um. Me too.”

“Can’t see why, but I’ll take it,” Richie said. “Not every day somebody hotas fuck admits something like that.”

He blushed even harder. He figured, if Richie kept sayingthings like that, maybe blushing all the time wasn’t so bad after all.

What’s ur theories or what you want to see throughout season 3 for stranger things and what can you see for will for his arc

I literally would not be able to discuss every s3 theory I have in one post XD. But I can specify what theories/hopes I have for Will’s story arc in s3.

1) I want Will’s (not supernatural) PTSD to be addressed, as well as he deep-seeded  abandoment issues(caused by Lonnie), and low self-esteem to be addressed. He probably blames himself for Lonnie leaving, and causing his family’s financial issues (which will only worsen because of the new mall). Not to mention Will probably blames himself for Bob’s death- the only cannon romantic love interest in Joyce’s life, since Lonnie. Will clearly has a low self esteem and when people ‘leave him’ he blames himself entirely. A good indicator of this, was when Jonathan says he has friends. And Will is confused and says … 

This in itself is extremely telling of how Will views himself. After s1 despite all the kids, teens, and adults doing everything they could to save him (risking their lives to do so) he still doesn’t understand why any of them actual would want to hang around him- he doesn’t see ‘his appeal- his worth’. He doesn’t like himself . He sees himself as a burden, just like his dad perceived him. And because of his abandonment issues, and somewhat iffy social skills, he probably assumes in both s1-2 they saved him out of obligation. And because of his abandonment issues,  he’s constantly feeling like a burden and always over-apologizing.  And since Will already feels like a burden, because of his dad, his PTSD,  and the upside-down incident he’s constantly apologizing .There was a reason Will didn’t tell Joyce what he saw in s1! He yells “I’m sorry “ and snuggles into his mom when he’s trying to explain the mindflayer to Hopper and Joyce. And Joyce says something indicative to his character (before anything supernatural occurs).

Joyce: “You feeling any better? Will?”

Will: “Huh? Yeah… Sorry.”

Joyce: “Hey… what’d we talk about, huh? You gotta stop it with the sorry’s.”

Will : “Yeah, sorry. I mean… yeah, I know.”

This illustrates that Joyce has already discussed the fact that Will over-apologizes . But Will still does it very often, even after these 2 separate discussions. 

I think in s3 we’ll see a cumulative reaction to how Will’s experiences have shaped him in a very sad and problematic way. Dustin starts hanging out with Steve, Lucas has a girlfriend, Jonathan will probably be too busy trying to financially support the family/dating Nancy, and to top it all off he then has a fight with Mike about not being “ kids anymore”. I think Mike will lash out, but Will will take the argument much harsher than he usually would (because all of his insecurities are piling up one after the other).So through Will’s perception, he just feels alone and like he’s being abandoned all over again, by the people who he thought would never do this to him.

2) Will’s destroys Castle Byers (Theory). I actually predicted here, that Will would destroy Castle Byers(right after his fight with Mike)- before the track list even came out. I thought this would be the case, because of Castle Byers symbolic importance. Which is why hopefully it’s Will,  not some other force that destroys it.

Will uses castle Byers as the one place he feels safe while in the upside down, or just on a daily basis. But it’s still a reminder of his deep-seeded abandonment issues. The day Will’s dad left , Jonathan and Will built Castle Byers all night in the pouring rain. Jonathan saying “we just had to finish it no matter what”. Will was the one who made-up Castle Byers in his imagination, and drew it, before Lonnie even left. He drew the sign “all friends welcome”, because with Lonnie around he never felt ‘welcome’ in his own home. So then when Will goes to Castle Byers in s3 at night in the pouring rain … he’s probably thinking that Mike (and his friends) are going to abandon him just like his dad did! 

Will wants time to stop, to regain the childhood he lost, but he can’t cry about it now -since he’s officially a teenager . And everyone else is moving on. He feels like he’s being abandoned in a “ teenage wasteland”

So I think Will may in a fit of rage destroy Castle Byers (probably using his fire powers). Similar to how El  had a psychic fit and accidentally destroyed all the windows in the cabin.

However unlike the El scene, it quickly turns into something empowering.We’d be sad. But this in itself would be Will at least trying to symbolically move on from his father’s influence, and trying to overcome his abandonment issues. Plus s3 is all about growing up- and if Will destroys the symbol of his childhood-abandonment-issues it would symbolically indicate his change in character as he accepts that he’s now a teenager . As well as how he’ll refuse to be a victim ever again (from his dad, the mindflayer, the bullies, etc)!

 Rain in itself can signify “purification of the soul”. I don’t think all of his issues will magically go away- but it’ll be the start of his journey of acceptance & self-love.

3) I want: El to find Will in the woods right after he destroys Castle Byers.

I’ve described in a previous post that based on the symbolism and iconography of the show why Will & El represent Yin and Yang , read more here. One of the many symbols of Yin and Yang is - Yin being representative of feminity/water & Yang being representative of masculinity/fire.

Will is always referenced with fire in both the comic and show . He drew his wizard character shooting fireballs in s1 and in the first ep he rolled the dice and yelled “fireball”, he had the ‘shadow monster ‘ exorcised out of him with fire, and in the comic he shoots a demogorgan and yells “fireball”. El’s element or ‘substance would be the opposite of fire, “water” - the sensory deprivation tanks are filled with water, the void floor is covered in water, she escaped the lab through a drainage pipe, looked at a reflection of herself in a puddle and cased ripples in it using her powers,  in s3 is shown sinking in water and falling out of a vanishing tub, etc.

Yin (water) and Yang (fire) have to  be “in perfect balance” (if one’s presence is stronger than the other)  “catastrophes will occur” and there will be an “imbalance between the cosmic and human realms”.  And throughout the 1st two seasons that’s exactly what happened! If El was shown prominantely then Will was gone or unconscious (or vice versa). There is a symbolic tear between the real world and upside down (because of this imbalance). And having them both be there - as a lit fire of castle byers burn, and rain pours would indicate -that their both starting to find balance. And that they’ll finally team up because of the supernatural threat.

Not to mention the last time Will was at his lowest and went to Castle Byers who found him and even read aloud his mantra/ sign of “all friends welcome”? Right, El!

 Not to mention in the very 1st episode, the boys went out in the rain to find Will, but found El instead (when she was also at her most scared and isolated). 

So it would be ! PURE POETIC CINEMA! DAMIT! They should do it! (El’s house is even in the woods, it all makes sense)! XD

4. I want : El lying for Will

Millie said about s3, that the biggest lie was that “friends don’t lie” ... “everybody lies”. El is still learning what it’s like to ‘be a person in the real world’ and understanding the complexity of familial, romantic, and platonic relationships. And although it’s admirable to never want to lie- it’s much more complicated in the real world. Will (who has very little control of his powers) will probably want to keep it a secret- afraid of how his friends perception of him will change if they knew. So El obliges and keeps Will’s secret- her first lie. 

5) I want: Will’s family dynamics evolving

I want to see the love Will has for his mother and brother (and vice versa). But I also want to see the growing pains involved with Will becoming a teenager, striving for independence, and dealing with the supernatural threat and his clear mental health issues. I want to see Joyce, Jonathan, and Will all grow as people- together. -Also Hopper & Will scenes

6) I want: Will to lash out and get angry

Will constantly fears abandonment and because of this he almost never lashes out- he mostly keeps everything bottled up inside. And regardless of whether it’s justified or not- he deserves to have an emotional outburst- where he SCREAMS about all of his frustrations.

7) I want El and Will talking about /experiencing their shared trauma & how they feel about El being the one who first opened the gate

I want to see happy moments for El and Will. But I also want to see El and Will in normal real-life scenarios/situations in s3. Making it more obvious the trauma of their abusive father figures still affects them deeply, and how their PTSD, quiet nature, powers, and the fact that they never had real-childhoods, causes them to feel more socially isolated and depressed than their peers. As they perceive themselves as nothing but burdens and “freaks” to their loved ones , since they’ll never feel “normal”. But they’ll learn to rely on each other.

-Plus how does Will feel about El opening the gate? El in s1 called herself a “monster” and when she couldn’t find Barb and Will, she felt so much guilt- she had to go to the bathroom to cry. Since then Will has had years of his life stolen, gotten Ptsd, possessed, burned alive, (technically) became a murderer, and was forever mutated (we’ll get to that last point later). So I’m just curious how they both feel about the whole ‘gate-situation’?

8) Byler scenes, and Will interacting more with all of his friends (and seeing the distinctions in all of those relationships and how Mike/Will’s dynamic differers from his other guy-friends, or even Will &Max’s friendship). And just having strong platonic relationships. And (not platonic) byler dynamics. I also want to see how he interacts with strangers/bullies in ‘normal’ situations.

9) Theory: I already explained here, that Will, will have a ‘dark phoenix’ moment at the mall releasing his very own mindflayer to protect his friends (right as the US government comes in to see everything).

10/11) Will and El are kidnapped by the government -theory here. However, El willing exposes her identity in order to go with Will and protect him - theory here.

“Yeah, well, if you weren’t so drunk maybe i would.”

“I’m not drunk.”  is Robert reply, his tone petulant.

But they both know he was.

Because they’ve been best friends since they were ten - sixteen years that felt like a lifetime in moments like this - and because Robert only ever made a pass at Aaron when he was drunk.

Aaron made the mistake of going with it one time when they were eighteen and he was a little bit too drunk himself to know better. Aaron had come out the year before, had  been in love with Robert since he knew what it meant, and in his drunken haze thought life was finally giving him a win.

Robert came out three days later: by making out with Mike in the middle of Bob’s. They never talked about what happened three days prior in Ross’s bedroom at the Barton party.

He didn’t make the mistake again, though the opportunity kept rearing it’s head. If Robert wasn’t Robert, he might actually hate him for it.

Now they were twenty-six and Robert hadn’t done this in almost two years.

“Go inside, Robert.”

“Is this because of what’s his face? The doctor?” He waved his beer bottle towards the entrance of the pub, his sister's wedding reception in full swing, while they stood out here by themselves. His boyfriend, the doctor, inside seemingly oblivious that Aaron had been missing for a while now.

“It’s because you’re a drunk selfish prat.”

Robert was in his space, it caught Aaron off guard, and put him on the defensive. He tried to step backwards, to put space between them, but his shoulders hit the wall of the pub and made that impossible.

“Knock it off.”

Robert watched him quietly for a moment, gaze flickering across Aaron’s face before settling on Aaron’s mouth, though it seemed to require a great deal of focus to manage.

“Why are you even with him? He’s boring.”

It wasn’t where Aaron had expected the conversation to go and he stumbled over a response. “He’s...nice.”

Robert snorted, a very un-Robert like reaction.“Nearly two years and that’s the best you’ve got. He’s nice? What an endorsement. No wonder he’s moving in. Can’t imagine how you’d describe your sex life.”

Robert stumbled slightly and Aaron forced himself to not reach out and steady him.

“Fuck you, Robert.”

“Yeah, I’m trying.”

Aaron tried to remember that he was drunk, that Robert was his best friend, and that Robert probably didn’t have any idea of what he was saying, but when Robert leaned in to try and kiss him he shoved at him, hard, and Robert ended up on his ass blinking up at Aaron, beer bottle broken beside him.

“What the fuck, Dingle?”

“You’re unbelievable. We’re not kids anymore, Robert, so stop acting like one.”

He stepped around him, headed for the door, but he could hear Robert struggling to get back to his feet and felt the tug to turn and help him. Because it was Robert and Robert was always going to pull at that place deep inside him, even if he shouldn’t.

“Aaron - wait, just..wait.” He let his fingers fall away from the door and took a deep breath before turning to face Robert again. Found his best friend looking awkward in front of him. “Don’t be mad at me, I’m sorry. I’m sorry okay? I won’t - I don’t want to fight.”

“I have a boyfriend, Robert.”

“I know.” Robert replied, voice soft.

But Robert’s gaze had gone unfocused again and Aaron felt himself deflate. Resigned to the fact that this would just be another night they never talked about again. Just like every time before.

““I can’t keep doing this Rob, I thought we were past it.” He looked away from Robert then, let his gaze drop to the other man’s feet, because sometimes looking at Robert hurt too much. “Maybe in another world...maybe you’d have actually want me back. Really truly wanted me the way I wanted you and not just some drunken mistake you can’t forget soon enough. But we’re in this world and I’m too tire, I’m too fucking exhausted to keep this up.”

“..Aaron.”

But something had finally cracked and Aaron couldn’t seem to stop now that he’d gotten started.

‘I have a boyfriend. He’s moving in. He wants me at all times, not just in the fucking dark where no one can see it. And I fucking got it in high school. I didn’t like it but I got it, because being out as a kid is weird and maybe I was just some experiment. Maybe it had to do with your dad. It hurt but I could handle it but what’s the fucking excuse now, Robert? You’re out. You’ve dated men. Everyone knows Robert Sugden is out proud and bi and that’s great but I’m still not good enough for you. I’m still some secret. I’m still not worth of Robert Sugden when he’s sober.  Just.. just leave me alone.”

“Aaron hold on-”

He was gone before Robert could finish the thought. Back inside a party that he no longer wanted to be at. But Aaron was a good friend and even better at masking things. So he plastered on a smile for Vic and tried not to shrink away from Alex when his boyfriend shuffled over to him and wrapped an arm around him.

He was still faking his way through things the next morning at breakfast. Vic and Ellis beaming at one end of the table as they talked to Diane and Doug while he stewed at the other end, Alex on his right and Robert’s empty seat to his left.

Until Robert’s seat wasn’t empty anymore and Aaron prepared himself to pretend like last night hadn’t happened. Only when he glanced over he found Robert staring right back, instead of the usual avoidance they’d have the day after.

“What?”

“We should talk after breakfast.”

“We don't have any-”

“Shut up, Aaron.” There was no heat behind it though and Robert stole a strip of bacon off Aaron’s plate before his gaze focused on Alex, the next words out of his mouth making Aaron’s world tilt on it’s axis. “Your bags are by the door.”

“My - what?”

“I said your bags are by the door. You can go after breakfast.”

Aaron had the irrational urge to laugh as the rest of the table fell silent at Robert’s words. Part of him should be angry, he knew it, but this was the most on brand thing Robert had ever done. Of course he’d finally decide to do something and do so in the most dramatic way possible and before talking to Aaron about any of it. Aaron should hate it but Aaron was a fool and he knew exactly who Robert was and had loved him for a decade anyway.

He realized belatedly that Alex was trying to get his attention but he couldn’t seem to look away from Robert. Mouth opening and closing a couple times before he managed to get something out. “What are you doing?”

“Making changes to the world.”

It was cheesy, embarrassingly so, and this time Aaron does laugh, happier than he can remember being in a long time.

"I put my heart and soul into this song "Roger growled, moving the bacon around the pan aggressively. You strolled in, leaning on the counter between John and Brian. Bri waved silently.

"No one is disputing that, "John replied, pointing his fork in the air.

"And you don't like it because you want your song on the album" Roger accused and Bri slid you a cup of coffee.

"It's not that Roger." John huffed, his long hair following as he tilted his head in annoyance. Your rolled your eyes and Roger prickled angrily. Out of all the boys, you were the most distant with Roger. You two didn't hate each other, you just didn't have too much in common. He still cared about you, as you did him, you guys were a family after all.

"Then what is it?" Roger snapped. Grabbing the lyrics of his song off the counter, your eyes scanned the page and your face scrunched up in confusion and in slight disgust. Then a certain line pulled a laugh from your throat and Roger glared daggers at you.

"'I'm In Love With My Car'. Maybe it's not strong enough?" Brian suggested, sarcasm tinting his smooth voice.

"What does that even mean 'not strong enough'?" Roger exclaimed before Freddie wandered in, taking his place beside John.

"I know I'm late, what did I miss?" Freddie asked, bringing the mug to his lips.

"Discussing Roger's car song," John answered with a raised eyebrow

"Is it strong enough? That's all I'm asking. If I'm on my own here then I apologize." Brian stated, raising his hands.

"How does your song go then?" Roger angrily snatched Bri's song from the table, crushing one of the corners accidentally. "You call me sweet like I'm some kind of cheese'" he read, throwing his arms down.

"I mean, it's good." You responded and Roger's eyes turned to you.

"Wow." He hissed sarcastically.

"What? 'When my hand's on your grease gun'?" You shot back, carefully folding the paper and handing it to Bri. John was hiding a smile behind his mug and Freddie wasn't even attempting to contain his laughter.

"That's very subtle isn't it?" Bri enquired, shooting Roger his signature bitch face.

"It's a metaphor, Brian!" Roger snapped, eyes narrowing at the curly-haired guitarist.

"It's just a bit weird, Roger. What exactly are you doing with that car?" John interjected. He was clearly teasing, but Roger didn't get the memo.

"Children, please. We could all murder each other but then who would be left to record this album?" Freddie stated, taking a sip of coffee.

"Statistically speaking, most bands don't fail, they break up," John responded between mouthfuls of food.

"Why the hell would you say something like that? Roger, there's only room in this band for one hysterical queen." Freddie said, keeping his eyes trained on Roger.

"You know why you're angry Roger?" Brian began. You shot him a side-eyed glance, knowing he was about to reignite the fire.

"Why?" Roger requested, frustration clear in his voice.

"Because you know your song isn't strong enough," Brian answered and Roger grabbed some bacon, flinging it at Brian's face.

"Is that strong enough?" Roger yelled, before throwing some bread and eggs at you and John.

"How about that?" You rolled your eyes, knowing you'd have to wash your hair again to get it out your hair. Roger grabbed the coffee machine, lifting it over his head.

"NOT THE COFFEE MACHINE!" You all shouted and Roger stopped mid-air, steam practically rolling from his ears. Roger slammed the coffee machine back down before storming off. You watched him for a second as John and Bri continued eating.

"Sorry about that (Y/N). You're gonna have to wash your hair to get that crap out"Bri apologized and you shook your head.

"Don't worry, hun, I signed up for this when I joined the band." You grabbed another piece of bread and slotted it in the toaster.

"He'll be over it in at least half an hour," John added, standing up and placing his plate in the sink.

"Is he always this ... on edge?" You asked. You'd only been part of the band for a few weeks after being kicked out of your own band. You were a drummer and a backup singer, though singing was most definitely your strong point. Your bandmates were some people you used to be friends with in college. They were a bunch of dicks and the lead singer constantly wanted attention to an absurd degree. His name was Mike. Mike wasn't a very good singer, but because he knew singers usually got the most attention, and he wanted all the limelight, he took that up. Despite knowing that you were a better singer, he forced you to learn drums and continuously pushed you past your limit, resulting in countless scars on your hands. Every day led to a new argument, but apparently one day you 'went too far' and they kicked you out. However, a group called Queen had seen you playing and found you mid-argument. After seeing you getting kicked from your band, Freddie practically demanded you become part of theirs.

"He's got an explosive temper, threw a TV out the window once, "Brian answered. You rolled your eyes. Sounds like Roger. The toast suddenly popped up, causing you and John to jump in unison. You pulled the toast out, taking a bite as Brian began washing his and John's plates.

"Where'd Freddie go?" John inquired.

"Probably with his little pet." You muttered bitterly, mouth full of toast.

"Probably," Brian remarked. You soon finished your food and Brian took your plate off you to wash.

"I'm gonna go get this shit out my hair. I'll be back in time to record." You told the boys before sauntering towards the bathroom.

You walked into the studio, towel in hand as you dried your hair.

"Ten minutes late, my dear," Freddie commented from his seat on the couch beside John and Roger. Brian was in the recording booth with his guitar, playing a tune you'd all agreed upon for 'Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon'.

"Rich coming from you, Fred. Besides, I wouldn't be late if someone hadn't thrown an egg in my hair." You responded, slumping between John and Freddie on the couch.

"Fuck off." Roger murmured, adjusting his necklace.

"Phone's been ringing for you for the last 15 minutes." John butted in, trying to focus on Brian.

"You know who's calling?" You asked, standing up again and walking over to the phone.

"Your mother. Number's written over there." Roger said, pointing at a note beside the phone set. You thanked the three before dialling the number and bringing the phone to your ear.

"Hello?" Your mother's voice crackled through the phone.

"Hi, ma. It's just me. Is everything alright? John said you'd been calling?" You requested, speaking quietly so Freddie and Bri could converse.

"Oh, (Y/N), darling. I need to tell you something." She replied, voice weak.

"Oh sure, what's going on?" You questioned, beginning to feel anxious

"(Y/N), you know your dad hasn't been very well for a long time..." she began. You felt your heart stop.

"Yeah..." You muttered

"Well...he passed away last night. We rushed him to the hospital but h-he didn't make it." She finished. Your hand shot to your mouth and tears pricked your eyes

"We'd really love for you to come home. Your brothers will be here. Alex is coming in from Australia and Danny managed to get a break from his work to visit." She added.

"Ma, I can't come home right now. I'm recording an album with the guys. I don't really have a way to get to your house in America right now." You reasoned

"Oh. Okay. I suppose we'll see you soon." Your mother replied, disappointment clear in her voice.

"Yeah, mom. I'm sorry. I wish I could come home. Say hi to the boys for me. Bye. I love you." You mumbled before placing the phone back. You sniffed, quickly wiping your eyes.

"Everything alright, dear?" Freddie asked, glancing up from the paper he was writing on. Roger had gotten up, standing next to the sound guy, talking to Brian in the booth.

"Y-Yeah. Everything's... everything's fine, Fred." You coughed, wiping your nose, fighting back a new onslaught of tears.

"Are you sure? You're acting a bit odd." Deacy pushed and you nodded.

"Does, uh, does anyone want some tea?" You asked, trying to find any way of getting a little bit of alone time without looking suspicious.

"Me, please, darling. Bring one for Brian too."

"I'm good, thank you (Y/N)."

"I'm in the booth next, so I'm alright."

Three voices rang out and you rushed out of the room as fast as your legs could carry you. Upon reaching the kitchen, you set the kettle to boil before breaking down into sobs. Tears streamed down your cheeks and you covered your face, attempting to fist away the water running from your eyes. You should've been there for him. Now you'd never see him again. you'd never hear his shitty dad jokes, never have your hair ruffled by him again, never hear his laugh again. Never see him smile.

You were so caught up in your grief, you didn't realize that someone else had joined you in the kitchen. A hand was placed on your shoulder, the other on your cheek.

"(Y/N), what's wrong? Did something happen? Talk to me." Roger watched your every move with eyes swimming with concern. You couldn't even form words so you simply allowed yourself to collapse into Roger. He wrapped his arms around you protectively before slowly sliding down to the floor so it was either for the both of you. After spending a few minutes in that position, your tears soaking Roger's shirt and his fingers running through your hair calmingly, you began to shakily explain what had happened. Roger couldn't find a way to describe how he felt. He was freaked, to be honest. Seeing you, strong, independent (Y/N) broken into pieces was unnerving. But overall, he couldn't help but think how beautiful you looked, despite the tear stains and messed hair. And he couldn't stop himself from kissing you.

He regretted it immediately.

You shoved him back, feeling hurt and betrayed, putting distance between you.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?! I'm here, crying because my dad is fucking dead and you think it's perfectly acceptable to fucking kiss me?!"  You yelled harshly, scrambling to your feet.

"I didn't mean-" He tried

"And just when I started thinking that you care about me because I'm your friend or your bandmate! I'm not your friend. I'm just another fucking girl for you to score then throw into the gutter!" You continued, feeling more tears well up.

"You're not-" Roger started

"Fuck you, Roger Taylor! Fuck. You." You exclaimed, raising your middle finger to the blonde haired drummer before running out, leaving Roger on the floor, calling after you. You didn't attempt to go back to the recording studio. You couldn't face your friends right now. You felt too... embarrassed...used. You threw yourself on the bed and swiftly pulled the covers over your head, wanting to hide from everyone and everything as the river returned to flow from your eyes. You loved him, you truly did. But he wasn't the time of person for commitment. He only wanted you when you were vulnerable. He could never love you.

It'd been a few hours since the whole 'Roger' incident and you'd made no attempt to move from the room, only opting to angrily song write. Your grief mixed with the awful feeling Roger had left you with left no room for anything other than anger. Suddenly there was a gentle knock on the door.

"(Y/N)? Roger said you weren't feeling so good. I brought you some soup for dinner. You're free to come to eat with us if you feel up or it." John's voice broke through the cracks in the door. You carefully placed your pen and paper down before opening the door and taking the soup with a small smile.

"Thanks, John. Sorry I missed out on the recording. Freddie's probably pissed." You mumbled, voice hoarse from crying. You placed the soup on the small table by the door, but as soon as you placed it down, a body was thrown at you, colliding into you and making you fall to the floor. The door slammed shut and after a second of groaning, you realized who had fallen on top of you. You raced to get out from under him, and you turned your back to him.

"(Y/N), I know you're angry with me. Just hear me out." Roger said quietly, you tilted your head to let him know you were listening.

"I wasn't thinking. I should've been more tactful. Kissing you was not appropriate at that moment in time. I just... you looked so broken, it hurt me. I just wanted to distract you from the pain. And I know after this, you'll probably be mad at me still but I want to say I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to take advantage of you in any way and I'm an idiot for not realizing that that's the way it would be taken. I really care about you, as more than a friend or bandmate. I would do anything to make you happy. But that kiss wasn't appropriate at the time and I'm so fucking sorry."Roger explained. You sighed, turning around, looking anywhere but the drummer's eyes.

"Rog... I love you too but I need time. I'm going through a lot at the minute and something is telling me that it's not going to get any easier in the next few months." You replied softly. Roger cupped your cheek, pulling your face up to his.

"I want to be for you (Y/N). I want to help you through what you're going through. I want to be there for you in your darkest or best moments. We can take it slow. Baby steps. Just give me a chance. Please." Roger pleaded. You could never say no to those eyes.

"Baby steps..." You agreed after a long pause. Roger broke out in a grin and he carefully entwined his fingers with yours. Maybe this could work.

I can’t fucking stand when somebody claims whitewashing when nothing of the sort happened. I literally just saw a series of posts where somebody did this and they might’ve been also claiming that it was racist but I’m not sure.

Bitch listen up!

LISTEN THE FUCK UP!!

Whitewashing is when a non-white ie Black, Asian, Hispanic, etc, etc character is portrayed by a white actor. Or when a non-white character is drawn & colored to be white. That is indeed whitewashing and should be complained about.

BUT!!!

Whitewashing is not, I repeat is not, when a character is drawn and colored exactly the same way they are in canon JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN’T FIT YOUR FUCKING HEADCANNON!!

I saw a post calling out a specific comicbook company, no names shall be named for either parties involved, for whitewashing a character in their animated films. But the character in question has the exact same skin color, hair color, and eye color that they do in the comics. Skin is slightly tan in the comics. And? Slightly tan in the film. Eyes are green in the comics. And? Green in the film. Hair is black in the comics. And? Black in the film.

Where is the whitewashing?

Oh I forgot to mention… The character is part Arab. (Technically speaking Arabic people are in fact Caucasian, white for some of y'all, since there’s actually only three races. Caucasian, Negroid and Mongoloid. But I digress.)

Arabic and Middle Eastern people can fit that above description. Many of them do actually. My uncle, his wife and kids, on my dad’s side do; they’re all tan with light eyes. Even though there’s this image of Arabs as all being tan, brown-eyed, and black haired we don’t all fit that description. I’m half-Arab and half-Italian and I kinda fit the stereotype; hair’s medium brown. But my point still stands. Not everybody fits the stereotypes, ok?

Also this character’s father and mother have blue and green eyes respectively. Both genes are recessive but the color green is more dominate than blue. The way DNA works green eyes would win out every time. Every. Fucking. Time. And thus it makes sense that the character in question has green eyes.

And yet this person chose to claim that the character was whitewashed in the animated film. This person even went so far as to edit screenshots from scenes from the animated films that included the character in question to prove their point.

Newsflash, buddy! That doesn’t mean it’s whitewashing.

Making a black character white is whitewashing. Making a Native American character white is whitewashing. So is making an Asian character white. So is making a Mexican character white. It’s called whitewashing for a reason dude. But…

Some real examples of whitewashing:

The Harry Potter films

J.K. Rowling explicitly describes Hermione Granger as having brown eyes and frizzy hair. Something that is very common amongst black people. The author herself even confirmed this via tweet when a black woman was cast as Hermione in the stage production of The Cursed Child:

“Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair, and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione.”

Explicitly stating that she wasn’t white, and saying that she loves a black version of the character, kinda solidifies it. The films whitewashed her.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Mr. Yunioshi was portrayed by white actor Mickey Rooney.

Mickey Rooney does not only play an Asian man. Rooney wears yellow face for his portrayal and does an overdone accent. He plays a racist stereotype of an Asian man.

So not only is that white-washing but it’s also racist.

The movie about card counting was actually based on a real life event. A group of Asian-American students from MIT, Harvard, and Princeton among others, rip off casinos by counting cards. This happened in the 70sThere were a lot of changes from real-life to movie as there always is but the most important is the race changes.

That vampire horror flick set in Alaska. This movie is based off a comic mini series btw. Inuit sheriff, who is Inuit in the comic, Eben Oleson is our main character. He’s the sherrif of the town that gets over run by vamps during it’s month-long polar night.

Wait. What was that?

The main character is Inuit.

And who plays him in the movie? Josh Hartnett.

The Hawaiian set rom-com has virtually no Hawaiian people. But the island state has a population that’s 70% non-white. Funny right?

But Emma Stone plays the main character.

A main character who is described as being one-third Hawaiian, one-third Chinese and half Swedish. And Emma Stone? Fits just the Swedish part of that and only by one-fifth.

Death Note

The 2017 upcoming live-action Netflix adaptation of the manga of the same name. (Not an adaptation of the anime… if that makes any difference.) The entire cast of this movie is made up of white actors. All of the characters are Japanese!!

But that’s not all…

The setting is moved to goddamn Seattle, Washington. The main character’s name is changed. In the manga his name is Light Yagami. His last name is one of the most white last names ever; Turner.
