I'm rewatching Mrs. Winterbourne again and I just noticed this. But the man who gives Connie the directions to the shelter that ends up getting her on the train to Boston instead, just suddenly disappears while she's looking at the paper, almost ghost-like. Do you think there's supposed to be some insinuation that Mr. Winterbourne, Hugh and Bill's late father, is doing ghostly shenanigans to get Bill a wife?
Could it just be for the drama? To avoid an awkward end to the conversation? Sure. But could it be more?

I wondered if there were Mrs. Winterbourne AU fics, the only one I saw was Omega Verse Hannibal.
I don't read Omega Verse, my personal thing, too much non/con in the genre. Like I know, there are ones that don't have it, but it's too common of an occurrence for me.
I wanted there to be fics with this AU because it's a good movie, and it did stuff that wasn't common for the 90s.

Hey! Just wondering if you could suggest some romantic/rom-com movies💖
Have a great day❤️🌼
Oh my goodness, I certainly can!! Thank you, bby! 💖💖
10 of my favorite romantic comedies:
(In no particular order.)
1. 10 Things I Hate About You
An absolute perfect movie. Dialogue, casting, story, romance, Heath Ledger, Shakespeare references, what more could a literary inclined girl want?
Tumblr media
2. A Cinderella Story
Another gift from the early 2000s. Is it cheesy? Sometimes. Is it adorable? Absolutely.
Tumblr media
3. He's Just Not That Into You
Hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, ensemble cast, but the endings for each couple are undoubtedly satisfying. Plus, my favorite rewind moment of all time:
Tumblr media
4. Crazy, Stupid Love
Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Steve Carrell, Josh Groban cameo. Need I say more? (But it will also unexpectedly grip your heart with profound, tender moments.)
Tumblr media
5. While You Were Sleeping
One of my favorite Sandra Bullock rom coms, of which there are many. (Honorary mentions: The Proposal, Practical Magic, Two Weeks Notice, and Miss Congeniality, though it's not really a rom com is one of my favorite movies in existence.)
Tumblr media
6. You've Got Mail
A classic of classics in rom com history. Meg Ryan at her best, Tom Hanks at his. She's a small, independent bookstore owner. He's essentially Barnes & Noble, coming in to disrupt New York with corporate America.
Tumblr media
7. Mrs. Winterbourne
A forgotten '90s Brendan Fraser must-see movie. He's the "rich playboy" type, she's scrappy and resourceful, pregnant by her deadbeat ex-boyfriend, and pretending to be the widow of Fraser's twin brother, who recently died in a train accident.
Tumblr media
8. Crazy Rich Asians
Based on a book, top-tier casting, bad ass mother-in-law, bad ass heroine, a classy, handsome, Good Man™️ hero? Sign me TF up.
Tumblr media
9. 13 Going on 30
Easily Jennifer Garner's best movie, but also Mark freakin' Ruffalo. They're adorable together, and this one's a classic in its own right, full of heart, back-stabbing bitches, and 80s music references.
Tumblr media
10. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
It's one of the best, folks. Also one of the most quotable movies in movie history lol. As a kid, I remember really identifying with Toula, who feels too plain, too big, too "frump girl."
But Ian never saw her that way. He genuinely laughs at her jokes. He's patient with her and sees her beauty, inside and out. He also deals with a lot of crap from her family in order to be with her, with all the grace and gentlemanly poise a guy could have.
And Toula learns to love herself, fall in love for the first time, and challenges every expectation of her family to do so.
Tumblr media
I have many, many more, but these are just a few of my favorites. What's yours?
Don't see it on this list? Drop it in the comments! 💋

I know we all LOVE Brendan Fraser in The Mummy. It’s essentially the one fandom we’re all in. And we love George of the Jungle. It’s the Himbo romance we all fantasize about.
BUT….
For as much as we love and support Brendan, we really don’t talk about his other films enough. He was in amazing films, starring in both dramatic and comedic roles with equal skill, well before The Mummy or GotJ.
So, as a reminder, here are just a sample of some of his great films that need to be talked about more. If you haven’t seen these, please remedy that.

Well, I finally finished "Skinner", y'all. I kept having to watch it in chunks because I was terrified my kids would see it, and be traumatized. (They didn't, fyi.)
Tumblr media
Fun story: (maybe not) I actually owned a VHS copy of this as a teenager. I found it in a used bookstore, and was ecstatic because, well, Ted. Anyway, I got it home, and my mother, who was normally pretty chill, asked me not to keep it. I don't recall the reasoning, but I do remember she asked instead of demanding. So, I got rid of it without a watch. I feel like such a rebel. For those who want to see it, Tubi is a free streaming service, and they currently have "Skinner" and "Planet Raptor."
Tumblr media
...anyway...
Spoilers ahead:
I love Ted. Absolutely adore him being adorable in this movie, but I also couldn't stop thinking, “Why are you being so weird? Stop being weird.” He would do these absolutely adorable things, then flip that switch and be dark and menacing again. (Which I guess is a testament to his acting, but I prefer him as Tim O'Neill.) Not that Dennis is supposed to be sane. He's clearly not, and Ted did a great job making me nervous. Stop that.
Tumblr media
Also, side note: if he had abs like that why wasn't he in the volleyball scene at the end of SeaQuest Season 1? Why????
Tumblr media
And that scene with Earl... yeah, that wouldn't happen today. Super uncomfortable watching that.
Tumblr media
I love Ricki Lake. I miss seeing her in things. If you haven't seen her in "Mrs. Winterbourne", you need to check it out. Super cute, great cast. Just a fun movie.
Tumblr media
Also, Heidi, I get you're traumatized, but c'mon, girl. Throwing a guy who could help you down the stairs? Not letting him help you because you have to do it on your own? Things might have ended differently if you'd let him help you.
Tumblr media
And girl, I get the allure of heels, but a pair of sensible flats or sneakers could really help. Plus, y'know, he can't hear you behind him.
Tumblr media
I did enjoy the dynamic between Dennis and Heidi. He knows she's hunting him. He toys with her. It's that monster-hunter relationship I love so much. Sherlock and Moriarty, Dracula and Van Helsing.
Tumblr media
Overall, this not-big-into-horror gal enjoyed the movie enough to warrant a rewatch sometime. I appreciate the level of suspense, and the gore wasn't too terrible. (I did hide behind a pillow a time or two, though.)

YAY FOR BRENDAN!
Brendan Fraser may finally be an Oscar-winning Lead Actor now (and SO WELL DESERVED; I have never been happier to see someone win that award in my life), but to those of us who have watched and loved him since the 90s, he will always be that gorgeous, loveable, goofy stud who gave us gems such as:
Bill from Mrs. Winterbourne (1996)
Tumblr media
George from George of the Jungle (1997)
Tumblr media
Adam Webber from Blast from the Past (1999)
Tumblr media
Rick O'Connell from The Mummy (1999)
Tumblr media
These are just some personal favorites that I 100% recommend! Brendan has had an amazing career with many more projects worth seeing!

Made the list mostly off two ideas- That Buck still hasn't watched a lot of media from before he was born and that Tommy is in the elder millennial range. A couple he was born but too young so unlikely Buck had watched them.
