The idea of Tori being a guest on Itachis ABNU team is so funny to me for some reason. Itachi should be used to having Tori as a teammate but I imagine his ABNU team respects and listens to him a lot more than Tori and Deidara do. I also like her being on Kakashis team because I like when Tori interacts with him... he somehow feels like the straight man (in the comedic sense).. the normal one...
itachi is control freak and therefore a very strict captain who does not tolerate backtalk or minor disobedience. he keeps turning to say something to tori and being like "......oh no" because he has a completely different dynamic with her and she's going to throw off the entire team. why did hokage-sama do this to him. also: they both assume it will be easy to turn off the "we are dating" act because they're "fake" but deeply unfortunately they do, in fact, like each other more than they like other people and it's Noticeable*
i imagine anbu mode!kakashi as a lot more serious than plainclothes!kakashi, but his relationship with tori is more of a sibling vibe, it's more like "my older sibling is very serious, guess i should be too" except tori doesn't have older siblings so she's like. confused
*they don't give off "in love" vibes but it's VERY obvious they know each other out of uniform lmao

this is old but i forgot to mention it came out! aqua is one of the more popular hololive members amongst jirai girls in japan, probably because of the total moe overload, but she recently put out a cover for this song (popular w ryousan and jirai girls since its about falling in love with a host and knowing his feelings for you are fake but wanting to be shown more affection anyway) and i thought my followers would enjoy since most of yall are either ryousan girls, jirai girls, or interested in learning about those subcultures!

Okay so ok there’s the whole demons speaking every language automatically so you can’t insult them in like Spanish or anything BUT I only see white languages present would they understand like French creole or know the differences between Trinidadian patois and Jamaican patois?👀 or would they be completely stumped bc I really doubt satan would understand what my grandma is saying and even then a heavy accent? Yeah no google translate ain’t saving them😂

Since Goncharov has spread beyond Tumblr, I have amused myself by reading hot takes by people who don’t understand Tumblr’s meme culture at all.
Over on AV Club, britches be complaining that “they” (presumably the people who “created” Goncharov) should have modeled it after one of Scorcese’s non-mafia films:
Eh, this would have been way cooler if they’d riffed an imaginary Scorsese film along the lines of Kundun or The Age of Innocence or even one of his documentaries instead of just going to the “he just makes mob movies” well.
This statement betrays a total misunderstanding of Tumblr culture:
Tumblr don’t care if you think it’s cool. We care if we’re having fun.
There is no “they.” No one decided what the movie was about. We saw a label on a pair of knock-off boots and went wild.
The rule of improv is yes-and, and that’s how Tumblr works, too. You can’t erase what has already been done as part of the improv/meme. The boots say “The Greatest Mafia Movie Ever Made. Martin Scorsese Presents Goncharov. A Domenico Procacci Production. A film By Matteo JWHJ 0715 About The Naples Mafia,” so yes-and means it is the greatest mafia movie ever made.
But there’s more with yes-and. Want Goncharov to pick up more on themes from Scorcese’s non-mafia work? Complaining on the AV Club will get you nowhere. But come on Tumblr and post about the film’s alternative cut, or your favorite bit of imagined non-mafioso dialogue, or the parallels between the sacrificial violence in Goncharov (1973) and Silence (2016)--and Goncharov becomes “way cooler” because what you wanted to see in it is now there.
Goncharov is not about producing something for passive consumption. It’s about playing together. Having fun. Building community. Sharing imagined worlds. Saying “yes” to creativity and weirdness. Embracing everyone’s contributions, because everyone has something unique to bring to the table.
Including the pouty-faces from AV Club, if they want to join in.

I think the reason trans girl mob goes off so hard is because… the show is inherently about a kid who’s an outcast learning to be his best most happy self. Like people always say be yourself yeah but that usually doesn’t actually mean anything.
Mob psychos thesis statement is you are NOT special, and that is beautiful because it means you can be anything. Just because you’re a good artist and a shit singer doesn’t mean you should do art instead of singing, you should do what makes you happy and strive to be as good at it as you can, because mediocre is an achievement when you aren’t special, it’s about self improvement, not being the best.
And then you get a kid, who’s constantly terrified of his own emotions and how they effect others and is seen as naive, who doesn’t fit the stereotypical masculine world well (weak as hell, cares a lot about emotions, pacifist) and doesn’t fit the stereotypical feminine world well either (reserved usually, in the body improvement club, horrible fashion, not able to read a room) and you say part of being the best, happiest possible version of yourself is realizing your gender, and it’s not a sad thing, and it’s not about anyone else, it’s about being the best you possible.
I don’t think mob in show is trans or would be any better or worse at being a girl than he is at being a boy, because it isn’t about that. It’s about the idea that when people do the things that are important to them without regard for what other people might think and only focus on being who they want to be (not who they think they should be, not on who they are, who they WANT to be, who would be both a good person and make them happy) that that is the best, happiest, most successful version of them. And I think that’s beautiful.
