Honestly this is shaping up to be SUCH an interesting turn of events
Cuz like. wtf is Izuku going to do once he gets there?
Bakugou’s half-dead, TomurAFO’s the cause of it
The way I see it, this has gotta be one of the ways Izuku has to prove that he’ll save Tomura no matter what
He’s caused SO much death and misery and destruction, and yet he is still that little boy who wants to be seen, to be saved. Izuku saw that in War Arc, he knows Tomura is hurting, he wants to save that crying child
Does that want stop once Izuku sees the body of his half-dead friend, half beaten to death because of Tomura?
Should it?
By all rights, anybody else would have said yes, and they would have said it all the way back in War Arc, when the death toll was city-wide and Hero Society fell. But Izuku didn’t yes back then, even when he saw TomurAFO stab Bakugou and saw all that destruction
This is more like a personal decision for Izuku now because of Bakugou being more involved than ever. Despite seeing them stab him, Izuku still empathised and wanted to save Tomura. Now, with Bakugou basically half-dead, with TomurAFO becoming more AFO than Tomur, is Izuku going to put his feelings aside and still help this crying child?
Or will he understandably go berserk again and go after TomurAFO? Focus on his friend?
OR, will it be both? Will he feel so angry for Bakugou’s state and use all that rage and energy to stop (not kill) TomurAFO, AND remember, keep remembering, that Tomura is still being taken advantage of and hurting?
Will it be one or the other? Or both?
I hope it’s both, personally. But I’m SO glad the personal stakes have risen, not just for the characters, but for the whole Should A Villain Be Saved? dilemma
ESPECIALLY for Izuku, who has been told that he should kill Tomura if necessary. Is the necessary time now, when Izuku’s friend is so seriously injured and it seems there’s no way for Tomura to snap out of it? Or is it not at all, not yet at least, because Izuku still wants to try anyway, because he said he would and he declared that he would to the other vestiges?
That’s the answer I’m looking for when Izuku turns up. What are the emotions he’s going to go through once he sees what’s happened? And what will he do first?

I saw barbie yesterday (Im late i know shut up) and like i Do Not underatand the extreme reactions to it.
I didnt find it particularly groundbreaking but it was very entertaining to me, a woman in my early 20s (the literal target audience).
And conversely i did not see any real misandry happening like what. The movie is poking fun at men and exploring (through shits and giggles) the idea that extremely unfair treatment easily leads to radicalization. And barbie apologises to ken at the end - its not really a well handled plot point but the general message is that no one deserves to be treated like theyre second rate.
And also at most the feminism featured is very much feminism lite - from some of the conservative takes and headlines you'd think veers heavily left - i didnt get that, but im also a regular at tumblr.com so what i consider far left and what not terminally online people consider far left is probably very different lol.
Anyways all that being said, the movie is not that serious guys. We are talking about a famous doll and her loser boyfriend with some feminism sprinkled in for flavor. Idk what made me write all that.

“In the war film, a soldier can hold his buddy—as long as his buddy is dying on the battlefield. In the western, Butch Cassidy can wash the Sundance Kid’s naked flesh—as long as it is wounded. In the boxing film, a trainer can rub the well-developed torso and sinewy back of his protege—as long as it is bruised. In the crime film, a mob lieutenant can embrace his boss like a lover—as long as he is riddled with bullets.
Violence makes the homo-eroticism of many “male” genres invisible; it is a structural mechanism of plausible deniability.”

whenever you ask your friend who’s really into JRPGs “hey which one do i start with is the newest one fine” they always go “no, what you gotta do is head on over to ebay and look up the entry that completely bombed commercially. You’ll see that it goes for $800. Close ebay. Download an emulator for a console no younger than 17 years old. Download the ROM, and also this laundry list of various tweaks, retextures, and QoL tweaks. Pull up this exact spoiler-free guide put up a decade ago from GameFAQs, and you’ll experience the best game this series has to offer.” Like???
