week started off strong with a few Formula One adjacent songs in celebration of Lando Norris’ First Win! WHOOO!!!!!

Then we got some Kendrick/Drake beef, and Euphoria was def giving me echolalia so i had to add it towards the end of the week or else it would’ve been so much worse 😂😂 (What is it THE BRAIDS?). I’ve been inspired to be a bigger hater than I already am

THEN WE GOT ABSOLUTION LIVE VERSION?! Mmmm ✋🏼✋🏼 oh lord. i preordered a vinyl of RHRN and i can’t wait to play it, lay on the floor, and cry. I attended both LA Rituals so it’s definitely gonna be one of those albums that hold so much emotion. I actually cried for like an hour last night thinking about the Ghovie and how this one part (if it’s shown) is going to break my soul into a billion little pieces

Ten Seconds Before Sunrise by Tiësto, so beautiful. It’s my default song to feel something beautiful. Just like lay down and play it, soak it in, meditate, relax, idk. but it’s something.

i love love LOVE that stede had little to no reaction towards the captain's quarters being empty/trashed. like, he reacted exactly how i expected him to, how i hoped he would, ie making some kind of quippy comment about how it works for the space.

because yes, the library was his "pride and joy." yes, he had an entire auxiliary wardrobe dedicated to different outfits. yes, his entire space was decked out in finery and material things.

but at the end of the day, they're just that: things.

you know what matters more to him? his crew. his family. his beloved.

he willingly gave up his wealth to his family back on land, and then struggled right alongside his family at sea. he didn't scramble to make money for himself, but instead tried to get a bit more financially stable for his crew, for his love. he stayed right alongside his new family, and prioritized their wellbeing above his own.

it doesn't matter that those things are gone; what matters is that those he loves are safe and sound.

((and like, also, he is probably going to want to rebuild/get more little knickknacks and trinkets. but he'll be able to do so with his family, for his family. it'll be their collective space, their home and heart))

Just got done w/ revenge on my rewatch and I have an au going on in my head where Jo gets a more developed character arc and dawn gets further in the competition bc they form an alliance lesbianism ensues (they make each other worse/better)

no because i'm actually going insane. like, in retrospect, it makes so much sense that ed and stede would both be glassy-eyed/crying after their first kiss, because they're both feeling so much. it's so new to them and subsequently so scary but so exciting. it has them both feeling so vulnerable but so intrigued by all the implications and future possibilities.

and then like, ed is feeling the most free and the most like himself that he has for years and years, if not his entire life. the world is his oyster in that moment. the horizon is open and endless. there's nothing but forever and his newfound love at his side. it's so much. it has him so vulnerable. it's something he thought he'd never get to have. and yet there it is, right beneath his hands, right there on the sand next to him. no more masking. no more threats of violence. no more having to hide himself away. just love.

and then stede. he's absolutely petrified that he's ruined ed, that he'd messed up horrendously like he think he has for the entirety of his life. but then he's also just experienced something that he thought he'd never get to have either. he never thought he'd get to feel actual love. he never thought his prospect of "marrying for love" could actually be something tangible. he never thought someone would look him in the eyes and say "you make me happy." and yet there all of that is, right there on the sand next to him.

so of course they're both crying. of course. they're running through the full spectrum of emotion and right back around again.

Izana normally didn't pay attention to the low ranking members of Tenjiku, since he considered them insignificant and replaceable. However, he couldn't help but take notice when he saw a member of Tenjiku arguing with a girl he didn't recognize. He later found out that you were the guy's sister after damn near interrogating him.

Whenever he saw you out with your brother he'd approach you, acting much friendlier than usual. Your brother took notice, but he didn't say anything. Not in front of Izana anyway. Behind closed doors he wouldn't shut up about how nice Izana was to you and how he treated him like crap. He was basically obsessing over the man and was obviously jealous of you.

His jealousy reached its boiling point when you showed up to Tenjiku's hideout and revealed that you and Izana were dating. He couldn't understand why Izana took such a liking to you. It took him forever to even prove himself worthy of being in Tenjiku and yet you have Izana wrapped around your finger.

"What the hell is so special about you?!"

You were caught off guard when you felt his hands push against your shoulders, shoving you to the ground. Izana saw all of it and before your brother could even think about apologizing to you, he stormed over to you, pushing past members of Tenjiku and putting them in a panic.

"Are you okay love?"

He held his hand out and helped you up off the ground and in a flash his foot was making contact with your brother's face.

"The meeting is over."

He looked down at your brother, who was knocked out cold on the ground.

"Don't bother showing up to the next meeting, your time in Tenjiku is over."

Izana grabbed your hand and led you away from Tenjiku's hideout. He didn't know where he was leading you to, but he knew your brother was going to have hell to pay the next time he saw him.
