What am I doing wrong? am I pressuring people waaay to much? aren’t my replies good enough? I’m trying my fucking best to actually go out and try to find new rping partners and when I find them, they just ignore me or they don’t say anything back, I try to say “Hello” but they go silent, i try to see how are they doing. Or I’m scared to even ask if they want to continue a roleplay to which I replied 48+ hours ago, because they always respond in the same way “you know I always answer” yeah fucking right, you don’t. I need an escapade, I try books, I try videogames but nothing helps me out other than roleplaying, maybe this is a sign from the universe to fucking stop and just continue with studies and get a real job lol. I had friends before that they would reply, but idk what happened that they stopped talking to me. I’m done so fucking done, I’m tired reblogging my same post, just to get people that are interested and then they go MIA. I really don’t know what to do.

and when i told both my dad and him that they were like "nah there is no way, thatd be them faking who they actually are" bro... as someone who has tried content creation in the past this a major thing you need to do at least a few times, you cannot always just hit record and spit out everything on your mind, you need to present yourself even just a little, even etho does it, not much but he still does, you need to make your content easy to understand so people know wtf is going on

and roleplaying is just an added little thing all the hermits do, hermitcraft is a minecraft roleplay that shows a bunch of friends being stupid together, some of it is their actual personalities, and some of it is them goofing off and over exaggerating shit, going with the bit, i do that with people all the time, i did it yesterday

this rant has gotten less conhesive cuz i have my family yelling around me and i cant rly like hear my own thoughts and shit so ima end it here, i think got the gist of what i meant out

Sorry, but in 200-400 ish years a reincarnated medieval Peasant is going to play a ttrpg set in the time period of our modern day and the npc meant to be you is going to be described as a helpless, uneducated, rube who would explode if they got to eat cookies twice a day.

The GM is giving you a funny accent and your reliance on your apathetic government is being portrayed as a character flaw.

Oooo the players are trying to "civilize you" and give you a sense of purpose beyond "work till you die". They're teaching you to dance ooo.

A PSA!

Roleplaying with AI bots is silly at first but its a regurgitating machine that steals ideas, it can steal your ideas too if you're too open to it

if you want to roleplay, use PluralKit or Tupperbox on discord

so you're the one choosing the character dialogue, not the machine.

While reinterpreting characters to be different from canon can be fun,

At times if it gets too projectively OOC (to where the character is basically a different character altogether)

that can be offputting to others and you're better off re-working it into a separate new oc

It can be really tempting to ignore your mental health issues by talking with the AI bots but when you do that to an obsessive extent, the dynamic becomes co-dependent, if you find yourself interacting more with a BOT than your friends, then log off and seek help

Unfortunately if you have issues like BPD, Bipolar, PMDD, Schizophrenia, or have issues offline (whether that be due to home life or lack of friends/social circle)

you can be more susceptible to developing psychosis

or having a psychotic episode

these can drastically effect how you view reality

Autism can be another factor, as we tend to get very attached to our special interests and hyperfixations but we all need to step back sometimes our interests are not above criticism

not everyone will like the same things

don't let the fixation turn into an unhealthy addiction

From March to early June, I got addicted to that character AI site, it got to the point where the sam bots I was making were completely different from his character I was ignoring friends and my symptoms, until after talking it over, I started recovery.
