Chapter 1 / Chapter 2 / Chapter 3
•••
Somehow the universe was on my side for once. Once I got home, I noticed I had a new text message. I was surprised to see that it was from Walter. He asked if I got home safe. What a gentleman.
I figured he just wanted to make sure I got home safe, I didn’t think too much of it. If anything, I didn’t think we would end up texting each other for three days in a row. Did I wish that would happen? Yes. Did I actually believe it could happen? Definitely no. I wasn’t the only one who couldn’t believe it.
“Have you been texting with him again last night?” Gia asked when she saw me yawn and stretch my arms out above me. We were having a slow morning at work, and this was the third time she showed up at my desk.
“Maybe,” I smirked. Even though it started a little awkward, we were still texting. After I had texted him back that I got home safe, and he send a thumbs up emoji, it was silent for a moment. I had thought about what I could possibly text him next. I grabbed my phone to compose a text when a new message already popped up.
Walter: Still sure you want to live here?
A smile had formed on my face. He thinks he is funny huh. I was wondering what I could text back, and I thought to myself: what would I tell my friends to text back in a situation like this? Normally, I would never listen to my own flirting advice, but at that moment, I did.
Melody: Might stick around. Heard the detectives in town are quite something.
Since then, we had been texting constantly. Alright, maybe not constantly, we were both busy during the day, but we spend a good amount of the late evening texting. We got to know each other a little better. I told him about my family, and I shared a few awkward stories. For example, I told him about the time I was too stubborn to put on sunscreen during the summer, and I got sunburned to bad, I would never forget to apply it ever again. I still apply it every day, even in the winter.
In return he told me all about the shenanigans he pulled as a kid, and that he had a kid himself, Faye. At first, I was a little bit surprised, but then I figured we would have a babysitter once we would get children. Mel, get it together. You are not even dating him, you don’t even know if he likes you and you are already thinking about having children with him?! Our kids would look damn cute though..
“Earth to Mel! Stop daydreaming for once, and get some work done.” Carmen laughed and threw a pen at me, which I skilfully dodged, but it did wake me up from my little daydream.
“There is nothing to do! No development in the murder case and that’s all I am covering right now,” I said and spun around in my chair. “I am so bored right now, I don’t even know what to do.”
“Text your man, see if he has any new information?” Gia suggested.
“Hmm, he avoided talking about the case. Maybe they are having trouble getting a match with the murderer on that dating app.” I had told them about what happened the other day at the police station. I might have a hearing problem now because they had screamed so loud, I’m convinced the entire building heard them. It’s safe to say, they were very excited and convinced he liked me.
“Besides, he’s not my man!” I said while throwing the pen I picked up back at Carmen. “I mean, I wish, but he is so out of my league.”
“No one is out of your league, and I swear he’s into you. I saw the way he looked at you at the bar and at the crime scene. I have an eye for these things, trust me,” Carmen said and dodged the pen as well.
“Whatever,” I sighed. I spun around in my chair a few more times before an idea popped up in my head. “Guys, what if we set up an account on that dating app?”
“And then what? Meet with a creep? No thank you,” Gia said with a disgusting look on her face.
“I’m not a fan of that plan either. Please don’t do something like that Mel. Don’t do anything stupid. That could be very dangerous, and you know it,” Carmen agreed.
“It’s not like I’m actually going to meet him. I just want to see if I can figure out what profile he is using this time.” I stood up and looked out of the window. I oversaw the city, the sky was grey, and it was slightly raining. “Alright, fine. Can one of you give me something to do in that case? Otherwise I will make a dating profile.”
Tumblr media
Later that day I laid in bed, trying to sleep. It was 1am and I had been trying to sleep for two hours, but I was still wide awake. I felt restless and didn’t know what I could do to fall asleep. I had tried to drink some tea, didn’t help. I watched an episode of The Office, didn’t help either. It also didn’t help Walter hadn’t texted me back for hours now. I wondered if he was already getting tired of me.
You know, I could, maybe, possible, just make an account on that dating app and swipe for a while. Maybe I would come across someone that matches the profile that the murderer would use. Gia and Carmen will probably kill me though.
I grabbed my phone. I hesitated for a second, but I downloaded the dating app. After I made an account and uploaded some cute selfies, I finally got to do some swiping. The most guys that came up were pretty basic. They didn’t spike my interest at all. They were the typical white boy, all with the same haircut and they looked like they did not only skip legday, also arm- and chestday. Half of them also posed proudly with a fish they had caught. As if that’s something girls like. Too bad none of these men look a little like Walter.
I also came across a few good looking, decent guys. I knew that was not what the police were looking for, so I swiped them to the left. The next profile was of a guy who was way too good looking. He also only had one picture. It was obviously that this picture was stolen from a model. The bio creeped me out a little. He said he liked to hike in nature, and he enjoyed the silence. You enjoy the silence? Are you trying to creep me out on purpose or what? I swiped him to the right. It was weird but I felt like this could be the one the police were looking for.
I swiped for a little while longer. Swiping a few sketchy looking profiles to the right until I felt my eyelids drop. Yawning, I put my phone aside and finally fell asleep.
Tumblr media
The next morning my alarm woke me up. I stretched out after I turned the alarm off and grabbed my phone. There were a few messages, one of them was from Walter, but what spiked my interest was that I had a few matches on the dating app. I wanted to check it out, but I noticed I had to get out of bed and take a shower if I wanted to be at work on time.
After I had showered and got dressed, I grabbed my phone. The first message I opened was from Walter. He had texted me at 3am.
Walter: We were working late today, no breakthrough in the case. Missed texting with you, can I make it up by calling you tonight?
My heart skipped a few beats. He wanted to call? With me?! I stared at the message for a few seconds while I felt some butterflies flying around in my stomach. Okay, no need to freak out. He just wants to call, he is not proposing. Yet….
Melody: I missed texting with you too. And of course, you can call me tonight. I look forward to it.
Before I could overanalyse my response, I hit send. Take a deep breath Mel. No need to read into this too much. I checked my other messages and texted my mom and Gia back. My mom wanted to know how I was doing, and Gia needed an approval of her outfit of the day.
I walked to the kitchen and grabbed some milk and cereal. While I was eating my breakfast, I noticed the notifications from the dating app. There were a few new matches, and one of them had send a message. It was from the guy with the creepy profile. His name was John. Millions of people are named John, you could’ve at least been a bit more creative while choosing a name.
John: What do you say good looking? Let’s skip the talking stage and just meet up?
I shivered at the thought of meeting up with this guy, but he could be the one they’re looking for, right? I decided to just go to work and deal with it later.
Tumblr media
The workday was slow and boring. I finished a few articles but spend most of my time gossiping with Gia about our favourite celebrities which annoyed Carmen at first, because she wanted to get some work done, but eventually she joined us. I also told them about Walter’s text from that morning. If I weren’t sure I already had a hearing problem from their screams before, I sure as hell would have one now. Those girls made sounds so high, I’m surprised the windows didn’t crack.
The rest day went by slow, and before I knew it the clock showed me it was 3pm. I had decided to not tell Gia and Carmen about the fact I downloaded the dating app and was considering meeting with ‘John’. I mean, I would inform Walter about it. I wasn’t a complete idiot. No need to stress those girls out. Why would I?
My phone buzzed and I picked it up. Another message from ‘John’.
John: What’s it going to be beautiful?
I thought about it, and what could go wrong? I would inform the police, aka Walter. Besides that, I can put up a fight. It’s not like I am a damsel in distress. Plus, the upside of being a little bigger; I’m harder to kidnap, you got to be pretty strong to even lift me up. I shrugged my shoulders and texted him back.
Melody: Sure.
Short, but clear. I looked around the office, Gia and Carmen both sat at their desks typing on their computers. They had no idea what I was doing. They would probably kill me, right here right now. Before I could change my mind about not telling them, my phone buzzed again.
John: Tonight, 7pm? A new bar just opened up, we could get a drink there.
The rest of the message contained the address of the place. I googled it before I answered. The website of the place popped up, and as I suspected, it was clearly a fake website. Bingo. I texted him back, saying I agreed with his plan.
The rest of the hours I had to spend at the office went by surprisingly quick. Soon people were starting to leave, and so were Gia, Carmen and me. We parted ways in the entrance hall, and I drove home. Once I was home, I looked in the fridge, and I came to the conclusion I had forgotten to do groceries. Again.
I wasn’t in the mood to order take out, so I quickly drove to the supermarket. Unfortunately, unlike last time, I didn’t ran into Walter. Shit, I still have to text him about my meeting with ‘John’. I’ll do it once I get back home.
I drove back home and started making dinner. After I ate dinner, and did the dishes, I looked at the clock. It was already 6.30pm and I had to leave soon. Glaring down at my outfit, I decided I wanted to wear something more comfortable. I went to my bedroom and stood in front of my closet. I grabbed an old pair of jeans and a simple long-sleeved black tee. No way I’m going to dress pretty for this guy. Wait, what if he actually is the guy from the picture? Nah, not gonna happen. Shit, I still need to text Walter.
I needed to hurry up and put the tee on. While putting on the jeans, I suddenly heard a sound I didn’t like to hear. I look down and saw the jeans have ripped in the area between my thighs. Thick thighs save lives? They sure as hell don’t save jeans. I thought while throwing them across the room. Quickly I grabbed another, old, pair of jeans and put it on. I put my shoes on and fixed my hair.
I ran into the living room again and grabbed my jacket. With my car keys and phone in one hand, I locked the door behind me with the other one and made my way to my car. 6.45pm, right on time. I started the car and drove off.
While I stood in front of a red light, I remembered I hadn’t texted Walter. Shit. Contemplating what to do, I decided to call him. He didn’t answer. Shit. I left a voicemail instead. The red light turned green and I continued driving. Once I had to stop in front of another red light, I decided to text him as well. I noticed how the streets around me became emptier and emptier.
The street where I was supposed to meet ‘John’ was dark and pretty empty. The sun was settling down, making it even darker. I parked my car at a parking lot and checked my phone. No response from Walter. Not yet at least. I was alone in the parking lot and decided to wait for a few minutes.
Alright, maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. Maybe this was pretty dumb. And why did I forgot to text Walter. Why couldn’t I have done that sooner?! You know what, I’m just gonna go. This was dumb. And reckless.
But before I could start my car, someone opened my door. A man stood there, he was tall but not very muscular and he did not look like the profile picture at all. He looked at me with a creepy grin that made me regret doing this.
“Hello there, nice to meet you. I’m John and you must be Melody. Why don’t you step out of the car?” he said. I didn’t knew what to say, so I nodded and wanted to step out, but he spoke again. “Why don’t you leave that phone of yours here, we don’t need it do we?”
I knew I had to play by his rules. So, I left my phone and stepped out. He took the keys out of my hands and locked my car. I tried to keep thinking straight. Walter should be here soon, right?
John kept talking to me in the meanwhile. He kept telling me how pretty I was and how glad he was to meet with me. I stopped listening when I heard my phone go off in the car. Walter. If that is not him but my mom, I will do something to her.
“Come on, let’s get away from that car, shall we? The bar is right around the corner,” he spoke. We were the only people in the parking lot. I noticed he had parked his car a few feet away from me. Something was definitely not right.
“You know, I’m actually good here. Could you give me my car keys back though?” I asked. I knew he wouldn’t, but I had to stall. I really hoped the police would show up anytime now.
“Ah please? Just one drink?” He took a step closer to me and grabbed my wrist. I quickly twisted my wrist, releasing it from his grip. He looked at me with an unpleased look, and I suddenly felt a presence behind me. Never sneak up on me you dumbass. I thought as I felt the presence got closer.
Once I felt someone was right behind me, I didn’t waste another second. I took a step to the right and shoved my elbow straight into the guy’s nose with full force. He grunted in pain and when I looked behind me, I saw he grabbed his bloody nose with both his hands.
“Creepy Greg from finance?!” I say surprised. “Could have seen that one coming.”
“You bitch!” the guy in front of me yelled. He raised his fist and threw it at my face. Well, he attempted it. I dodged it and slammed my fist into his face instead.
“Sorry, that might leave a mark,” I smiled.
Creepy Greg from finance was still standing behind me, crying, and telling me I broke his nose and that I would pay for it. Make me.
I looked back at the other guy, and he swung his arms at me again, trying to hit me. I ducked to the side a few times, avoiding being hit. Sadly, I couldn’t escape all his attempts to hit me. His fist met the left side of my face. I felt my blood boiling from anger. I took a deep breath and raised my fists. While I was about to throw a punch, I heard loud noises. Cars. Thank God, they’re here.
Before I could comprehend what was going on, policemen were already running towards us. One tackled creepy Greg and a familiar figure tackled the other guy and threw a hard punch in his face. This is not supposed to turn me on. At all.
Walter got up and handed the guy over to another cop. The guy looked at me in disgust, but I didn’t see it. My eyes were focussed on Walter. He closed the gap between us by taking two passes.
“First of all, that was insanely stupid and dangerous and very dumb. This was reckless behaviour! But we will discuss this later,” he said vigorously.
“Yeah, I figured,” I said. I opened my mouth to continue speaking, but he spoke first.
“Are you alright? Are you hurt?” he said with a concerned look in his blue eyes, and his hand caressed the cheek that had been hit. As his rough, calloused fingers touched my skin I felt a spark of electricity going down my spine. His other hand found its way to my waist, and he pulled me a little closer to him. His body radiated a welcoming warmth, and I smelled his familiar musky cologne.
“I’m fine, just got hit once. You should see creepy Greg’s nose,” I snickered.
“I did, and you sure know how to throw a punch,” he smiled. “I’m glad you’re okay. And I’m glad you called and texted me. I’m sorry I missed the call. If I hadn’t missed it none of this would have happened.”
“No, don’t be sorry. This was a pretty stupid, reckless plan and I should have called sooner,” I quickly answered.
“It was indeed reckless and stupid,” he sighed. “Look, we need to take your statement. Why don’t I take you home after?”
“I’d like that, but my car is here,” I said while pointing at it. His hand left my cheek, but his other hand remained on my waist. He was so close to me, and I felt so comfortable despite what happened a few minutes prior.
“We’ll take care of that, don’t worry.” He grabbed my hand, interlaced his fingers with mine and guided me to one of his colleagues. My heart was racing and skipped a few beats at the same time. His hand felt warm and comforting. I never wanted to let go.
We reached his colleague and he started asking me questions and he squeezed my hand before letting go. He walked away to speak to some of his other colleagues and I immediately missed his hand, it felt like mine had fitted perfectly in his.
I told his colleague what happened, and I could see he thought it was really reckless, but I also saw in his eyes he was kind of impressed. He complimented me on how I stayed calm, but he did tell me to never do anything like this again.
Tumblr media
Once he dismissed me, I looked around for Walter. I noticed him already walking towards me, and he offered me a little smile.
“So, Liam is going to take your car down to the station and I will drive you home, alright?”
“Thank you,” I smiled at him. “Can I get something from my car? My phone and keys are still in there.”
After we got my stuff out of the car, he pointed at a big truck. We walked towards it in silence, and he placed his hand on my lower back. Oh god, please keep that hand there forever. Okay, I might be incredibly touch starved.
Unfortunately, we reached the car too soon and his hand left my back to open the door for me. I climbed in and he closed it. He walked around the truck, took place behind the drivers’ wheel, and started the car. While he drove into the street he asked for my address.
We sat in silence next to each other, the radio softly hummed a rock song. I looked out of the window, it was dark and suddenly I realized that what I had done tonight, could have ended badly. Really badly.
“Hey, are you okay?” Walter put his hand on my thigh but when I looked at him, his hand shot up to my cheek to wipe a falling tear away.
“Yeah, yeah. Just realizing that this maybe wasn’t a smart thing to do,” I offered him a small smile. His hand left my cheek and found its way back to my thigh. The warmth coming from it spread throughout my entire body and I didn’t think twice and placed my hand on top of his. He turned his hand around and interlaced his fingers with mine for the second time that night.
He smiled at me and focussed on the road again. We were near my home, but I did not want to be alone now. Heck, I wanted to be near him. I didn’t want him to go. It felt so good to just be around him. I have never felt so comfortable around someone so quickly.
He parked the truck in front of my apartment building, not letting go of my hand.
“So, we’re here,” I mumbled. He grunted in response. We sat in the truck in silence for a few more minutes until it started to rain. I knew it was now or never, he was not going to offer going inside with me. Not after what happened. Perhaps he thought I wanted to be alone.
I felt anxious, but I decided to just ask it.
“Could you stay with me for a while?” I avoided looking at him, but he squeezed my hand and his other hand gently grabbed my chin, making me look into his eyes.
“Sure thing doll.”

You are all I’ve got,Austin.//Chapter 1: Swipe Right
Tumblr media
Dating apps, right. I wasn't sure at first when my best friend Gemma showed me Lovelink.
'Gemma, are you out of your mind? I don't use dating apps … this is crazy!' I saw her big blue eyes staring at me with her brow raised and half-smile on her face. She is my best friend for a reason; she knows me better than anyone. She knows exactly what she’s doing. She sat back in the chair, crossed her arms, still looking at me right in the eyes.
‘Come on, Maya, there has to be a first time for everything. Shaun found Olivia on the dating app, right? And look at then now … I can see that you want to try, it’s been five months since Luke …’ she stopped herself. We don’t talk about Luke, my psycho ex, who nearly got me killed.
‘ This isn’t easy for me, and you know it. I’m not ready… Shaun was just lucky, plus he is a guy that’s different ‘ Shaun, my twin brother, my best friend, the male version of me, the bond that only twins can understand. He was lucky to find his girlfriend on the dating app five years ago. Maybe Gemma is right; perhaps I should try and leave this shit with Luke behind.
‘ Just remember not every guy is Luke; he is an exception to the norm, he had mental issues, and I knew it the moment I saw him with you, lesson learned the hard way …If you’re not going to give Greg a chance, at least try the app. You don’t have to jump right into a relationship, just have some fun … go on a date or two, just simple conversations, maybe you will find some hottie with nice abs and big … personality’ This Girl has only one thing in her mind. I rolled my eyes. ‘Like Greg, for example, he is successful, romantic and hot as hell...and of course in love with you,’ She looked away with disappointment. Unfortunately, he is. I told him a million times that we could only be friends, but every time I do it, I feel horrible because I know I’m hurting him.
‘OK, If I give it a try, will you get off me? Like, really give it a break… and stop putting ideas in Greg’s head, I can’t think of him any other way than just my boss and good friend … it’s just wrong ’ she tossed her long blonde hair to one side with a smirk on her face. That was exactly what she wanted to hear. I knew very well what was in her mind right now, all the things that she would do to him. She is a thirsty little devil. The whole office knows that she fancies the pants off him; she isn’t even trying to hide it ‘ Gemma, just go for it, he is more your type than mine... Let’s make a deal. I will try this stupid app, and you will make a move on Greg …deal?
‘Yes, deal!’ She clapped her hands with excitement, jumping from the chair. I swear this Girl is impossible, but I love her to death. ‘It is a sin for a woman like you to hide this beauty! Let’s give those black waves a bit of shine, and you are done’ She started to brush my hair with her long nails, took her phone out ‘ I hate you for this natural beauty! You don’t have to put even a gram of makeup to look stunning. I spend hours getting my face ready, and you just put on a moisturizer, mascara, and you are done’ She shook her head, always jealous, but still the one bringing the most of the male attention. ‘Come on, let’s move to the window. You need a good photo. But change the top; you need something to make those green eyes pop!’
I ran to the bedroom, put on my favourite olive blouse—a little bit of eyeliner for a bit of edge.
‘OK, here we go!’ I entered the living room where Gemma prepared everything,
‘Girl! You look hot!’
I should've guessed that this will take hours.
-----
The same afternoon I created my profile on Lovelink , took me ages to find the perfect description of myself but finally was done. OK, what do I do now? Ah, I guess I swipe.
Days of swiping left and right few guys caught my eye; Adam, photographer; the conversation was flowing, he seemed nice, but after a couple of days, I got bored. He was a typical hopeless romantic, too soft, not what I am looking for.
Next!
Albert Bishop, a sexy soldier. Damn, he was hot! We were texting and sexting for a couple of days. But we reached the point where he told me that he was getting deployed soon, and then it hit me. My childhood, not seeing my Dad for months, my Mum constantly struggling with his absence, never knowing if he comes back in one piece. I wasn’t ready for that. We went for a nice dinner had a lovely time after. He nearly convinced me to give it a shot, but a few days later, he got deployed. I couldn’t make promises that I will wait for him even if I wanted to; god, I had hots for him. One night with him and he left me speechless but felt like just physical attraction, and this is not what I am looking for. Fuck sake! And what am I actually looking for? Do I even know?
Few days after Albert went offline, I was lying in bed, it was late, and I had enough. Enough of horny, ignorant, full of themselves blokes that only waste my time. What are they trying to archive with that? I was just about to put my phone down after swiping left on the guy that had a photo of the centaur who was lost in our world and needed a rescue. Seriously?! Is this some kind of joke?! I have enough of this shit for today!
But then I saw him. Standing I front of a wire fence, shirtless, deep blue eyes, black hair short on the sides and long on top, this sharp jawline that always makes my knees weak, arms covered and good looking tattoos, scowling but in that sexy and intriguing way. There was something soft in his look, something interesting. I stared at his picture for like felt forever, like I was hypnotized. Suddenly my phone got dark. I unlocked it as fast as could, looked once again, and opened his bio. I needed to know more about this guy. “ if I tell you I’m innocent ..will you believe me …I’ve been wrongly accused of murder’’ Excuse me, what?! Murder?! I couldn’t believe it, of course, that’s my luck. The guy is hot, my type on paper but is locked up; this could only happen to me. But then I had another look at his picture. What would Gemma do? I instantly sent her a screenshot of his photo and bio.
‘Girl, what do I do?!’
I didn’t have to wait long for the answer.
‘Are you crazy?! Just look at him! What are you waiting for? Swipe right and find out what he is all about! There must be more to this. He is just your type!’
And here it was, the swipe right that will change everything, a dream and a nightmare in one. If I only knew that Austin Russo turns my life upside down the way he did. I would swipe right anyway thousand times over

Also i’d love some good old Luz/Toye modern day au headcanons! ❤️❤️❤️
oh my god, what if they met on a dating app tho
because luz is an absolute dating app ho.  he doesn’t use it to fall in love, let’s be honest  ---  i mean, if he hits it off with someone, sure, they’ll go on a date.  mostly he thinks they’re absolutely hilarious, and “you just meet the most interesting people on there, really”.   he’s got a grindr, a tinder, a bumblr, a tingle, and any other dating app you can name.  like, no less than five on his phone at any given time, and he’s got a collection of interesting profile pics screencapped.
(which means perconte gets texts at 3am of wild tinder profiles; for example, a guy dressed like a chicken in his profile pic, captioned by luz:  i think this one’s worth chickin out)
in short, luz uses them for the hell of it, and has met some interesting people, but never takes dating on them seriously.
then he matches with The Guy
The Guy is absolutely the most gorgeous man george has ever seen.  talk about jacked; this guy’s profile pics are of him lifting weights, running, boxing. all sports, all tasteful  (he’s never shirtless, no mirror selfies here) but he’s showing off his arms in every single one.
luz almost has a heart attack.
(perconte’s phone buzzes at 3am; it’s The Guy, captioned by luz, 😳🤯🥵)
on the other end of the line, joe toye is a grandpa.
no, literally. social media is not his thing.  he doesn’t have twitter, he doesn’t have insta, he has a facebook account he hasn’t logged into in years  ---  just because he does have a lot of aunties and they all want to know what he’s up to.
joe’s a boxing instructor, and a pretty successful one.  his gym asks him to record video tutorials for youtube, which he does...  but only because they keep sending a kid to film him, and he’d feel like an asshole telling him to beat it.  really, joe just does his thing in the videos, while wearing very tight shirts.  they get tons of views on youtube.  he doesn’t realize he’s become a mild internet heartthrob, because he literally just...  isn’t interested.
he also doesn’t seem to be interested in dating.   this, in the opinion of one bill guarnere, is a travesty.
bill pretty much badgers joe into making a tinder profile.  just one, just to take a chance on it and see what happens.  if he doesn’t like it, he can just delete it!  what’s the harm, right?
joe lets bill download the app, grunts at bill’s choice of profile pictures, and promptly forgets the app is even on his phone.
until George Luz happens.
what did you expect? george luz ALWAYS happens.
now, george has done some light internet stalking at this point.  he’s found the youtube videos, and has developed a full-on crush.  it’s bad, guys.  he’s considering signing up for boxing lessons, despite the near-certainty that joe could snap his spaghetti arms like twigs.
he takes the safe route, and just slides into joe’s DMs instead.
‘looks like your allergies are acting up in those pics’
‘you could really use some vitamin Me’
joe stares at his phone for a solid two minutes in dead silence before replying with a succinct ‘fuck no.’
BUT GEORGE LUZ DOES NOT GIVE UP.
listen.  listen.  this man has an endless supply of pickup lines, and he’s not afraid to use them.  joe knows where the block feature is.  he can absolutely swipe left if he so chooses, but he hasn’t, and george takes that as solid encouragement.  somewhere out there, there’s a perfect line for the perfect guy, and he’s gonna find it.  so he sends a new line every day, just...  shooting his shot.
‘i’m feeling pretty sunburned, because your bio is too hot to handle’
‘no wonder you’re a boxer, you’re a knockout’
‘you could choke me out with those thighs and i’d come back as a ghost to thank you’
‘know what i could do if i rearranged the alphabet?  put the d in u’
‘would you rather fight 1 horse sized duck or 100 duck sized horses’
joe hates it.  he absolutely freaking hates it.  but here’s the thing  ---  george knows, and he knows, that he could just unmatch and be done with it.
he does not do this.
the worst part is, joe finds himself actually looking forward to the new line every day.  god help him, he likes it.  it’s something to snort at after a long day at work, something which gets him to roll his eyes every time...  but he won’t deny, it’s...  kind of flattering.   the guy is a dumbass, but he’s persistent, joe will at least give him that.
finally  ---  after the twelfth day, when george’s pickup lines have aged like fine cheese  (’my body has 457 bones, but u could still break me in half’)  ---   joe finally caves
‘that’s too many. too many fucking bones.’
on the other end of the line, george is having a mild heart attack. he replied!!  he actually replied!!
‘you’re right’   he shoots back.   ‘i know my anatomy.  i’ve actually got 205 bones’
‘no you fucking don’t.  an adult male has 206 bones in his body.’
nitpicky and ripped??  george is into it.
‘really?’   he can’t get the shiteating smirk off his face.    ‘looks like i’m missing one.’  (and at this moment, joe knows what the hell he’s just walked into.)    ‘ur gonna have to give it to me.’
a long silence.  george holds his breath, not daring to hope, not daring to dread.
finally, joe replies.    ‘if i give you my number, will you stop.’
‘oh baby,’  replies george,   ‘i can keep going all night long’
joe sends him his number.
he shows up to the date with an anatomy textbook, just to be a dick about it.  george laughs so hard he falls off his barstool, and that’s the moment joe realizes he’s fallen in love with this idiot.
then again, maybe that realization came 100 duck sized horses ago.

Chapter 7
Day 3
Pan: Dear recorder. You wouldn't believe what Eva made us to do. Today we were making dating site profiles. By the way it was a lot harder than we thought. While registration we realized we didn't have any pictures as a girl. So Eva decided to take photos of us. I was wearing colorful pants and a hoodie. That wasn't important information but still I decide to share it with you. After we took photos we went to the coffee shop. While I was ordering a coffee I started talking to the girl. It all happened very fast, long story short I got her number. That 's kinda sad that woman version of me gets more girl's attention than real me. Her name is Rose. We were texting since. Oh, she texted again gotta go.
Kai: Day 3. Jesus. Boys are dumb. Just one hour in the dating sites and I am embarrassed and sorry on behalf of idiots from internet. Guess what was my first match introduction? "Hi, I'm Jim. Your place or mine?" Let me read the whole dialog. So he said:
-Your place or mine
-Oh no Jim. That's not the way you speak with a lady.
-Kiara, what that legs do?
-Kick between your legs. Listen, Jim. Do you want a girl or nah?
-Of corse.
- Do you have another matches?
-Yeah, why are you asking? Do you want threesome or something?
-I am trying to do a good deed. And no to the threesome part. Try to start a conversation with a compliment.
-Compliment?
-What, you know what compliment is, right? Tell her that you like her bio.
-I haven't read her bio.
-Just do what I say, trust me.
-Ok, she replied.
-Never had that before huh? I told you. Now ask questions about herself. "What that legs do" doesn't count.
- She had dog in the pics. I can something about the dog.
-Nice, you learning.
A few hours later he texted that he still talks to that girl. Ahh, I am a cupid, teacher of the horny boys from internet how not to be an ass. One idiot less. You are welcome ladies and universe.
Jack: Day 3. First off topic news. I asked Eva out. She agreed. Ahh...I am so happy! It was weird that I asked her for a date while we were creating dating profile for me, but still very romantic. Anyways back to our topic. In these three days I realized that girls favorite hobby is to complain about girl stuff. So after the photoshoot and dating profile making I decided to google some girl problems to complain next 7 days. I googled but I don't understand most of them. For example: " My hair-tie won't go around my hair three times. But it's too loose when it's wrapped twice". What the hell that was supposed to mean? "I went to the bed with white sheets and woke up with Japan's flag underneath me." This one is more confusing than the first one. I tried to get to now girls better but now I am more lost. Update: Hades told me that Japan's flag was a reference to a period. Hashtag relatable. I guess?
Hades: Day 3. Only three days past, but if feels like a life time. I am pretty sure being girl is fun and stuff. But being guy that walks, talks, acts like a girl is frustrating. I unmatched everyone on dating site. Not in the mood for talking. What I got myself into. I have a lot of work to do. So I took my laptop and went to the cafe dressed like a girl, of course. That way I could work and do this little experiment thing at the same time. Nothing interesting happened. Thankfully just like a week ago no one tried to interact with me, except the waiter that wrote his number on a tissue. I just smiled and when I left I threw that tissue in to the trash. The day was great so far. If I said I could not wait for next 7 days, I would be lying or possessed by the demon.

Best dating bio examples
Best Online Dating Profile Examples for Women & Expert Lessons NurseJen, 40 You should probably know that I somehow manage to spill guacamole on myself every time I eat it, which is often.  In short, you should try to present each and every good thing about yourself.  But I will say this I met a great guy… he literally is the best thing that ever happened to me.  At first, when people found out they called me a freak, now they just call me, all the time.  A quick Google search, or asking any woman will pull up these same results as well.
How to Write a Personal Bio (with Samples) But the manner in which this profile is written will send all the wrong signals.  Just imagine the difference in your results if every single word of your profile had the same attention to detail as the online dating profile examples above.  A well written profile can save you a lot of time from dealing with lukewarm connections, bad dates, and awkward conversation.  Put that in your damn profile, I told her! Keep it specific, and show that you have a personality.  A quick guide to profile pictures Profile pictures are extremely important to get right.  First, qualifying yourself and explaining why you are fun to be around gives some context.  But you will scare off the all good guys out there by giving off negative energy.
Have You Checked Out the Best Dating Profile Examples? Chances are people that live in your area will have similar interests as well.  Getting Lost in the Super Market as a child was scarring, mama would call out my name and everyone would call out Polo, drowning out pleas for help.  As you write your own profile, use them for inspiration and keep these tips in mind.  When someone asks you to describe yourself what do you think of first? Unfortunately, this reveals very little about the writer and what she is all about.  All of these elements are important for having a good profile that gets you a quality date.
Online Dating Profile Examples for Women That is a whole different story.  Having a good Tinder Bio makes your profile look better and attractive.  Many people share these interests.  Interesting does not mean sexy, audacious or incendiary, it just means what makes you unique.  One being the moment I described above, another being my first scuba diving experience.
How To Get Better Dates With An Awesome Profile Oh, you enjoy going on holiday? I mean… I was able to go on dates without having my thumb on 911 so progress right! Your profile pictures should be less than a year old.  I am pretty quiet on my off days and prefer to be left to my own devices.  LetsGo, 33 You know that person in your group of friends who is always planning something but maybe gets a little too crazy about it sometimes? According to the last year research, it is shown that there was a tonne of research analyzing the behavior of more than 230k male and 250k female profiles.  You can check out the list of Tinder Bio Lines for Girls.  Taking the time to write a good profile will help you increase your odds of getting a match who is right for you, and having a great first date.  The bio, while also accurate, is where the hard sell can come in.
Online Dating Profile Examples for Women This profile example comes across as needy, negative, and creates the impression that the profile writer may have had bad experiences with online dating in the past.  You are required to be open about yourself and be proud of the life you have chosen to live.  This one of the top complaints I hear from women when it comes to online dating.  Mention about your tastes, likes, and interests and present yourself in the best way.  I love to cook I make a mean porchetta! How will she know that you are a more fun, in shape, beer liking guy than the next? With this single line you have displayed two of these traits.  Literally just want a shag, why else would I have tinder and my first picture be me in a bikini.  We have listed out some of the best examples of the Tinder Bios that you can get an idea from it or can put the same on the Tinder Bio.
15 Witty Tinder Bio Examples (Male) Make your profile too good so that She could never resist on right-swiping on yours.  But I think these are enough to give you a fair idea about my interests.  For example: Think of your favorite restaurant.  On weekends I volunteer at the local animal shelter.  Live music is one of my other weaknesses.  I put this in because being a video producer allows me to travel to a lot of interesting places and have fun stories to share.
Best Online Dating Profile Examples for Women & Expert Lessons One should always take it as an opportunity to showcase your values and priorities in 500 characters or less than that.  Out of all our tips, my number one for men and woman is to add details to your profile.  Just like most social media platforms, best rely heavily on pictures and bios to tell a story.  Best Tinder Bios are your one shot at telling potential suitors that what kind of person you are or what sort of desires you have? In my free time, I like to take off my shirt and take selfies.  If you are wanting to increase your chances of having a solid connection, think about writing your profile and getting specific the same way you would as why you like your favorite restaurant.
10 Most Successful Tinder Bio Examples for Guys I work hard during the week, fill my weekends with activities, and definitely can be a big ball of energy at times.  Whatever you write in your profile should always be used to highlight your best qualities.  It says you are passionate, compassionate, and a positive person to be around.  This is exactly what our experts have specialized in for almost a decade.  Today I am going to highlight some of these mistakes by taking some poorly written online dating profile examples, and transforming them into profiles that quality men will be extremely attracted to.  If you want to show off all the hard work you put into your body, do it in a natural way, at the beach surfing, on a hike where it looks like the weather is warm, you in the ring at a boxing match.

Tumblr media
so im due to start at cambridge university for bio natural sciences in october and i thought i would write a post about what helped me make a successful application. hopefully this is useful to some people!! (also this is an incredibly long post you’ve been warned)
if anyone wants me to do a more in depth post on one specific section, or you guys have any questions at all, feel free to drop me a message!!
choosing a course
this is the most important bit!!! you’re dedicating 3/4/5/6 years of your life to this
oxbridge as rule (esp cambridge) have slightly different courses to other universities so do your research - on their websites and at open days
i know top students are supposed to apply to oxbridge bc “it’s the best” and stuff but if the courses offered don’t interest you or you prefer how other unis teach that course, DON’T APPLY!! it’s not worth it
generally, look at your a level/ib/etc subjects and which sort of courses they meet the entry requirements for then look at websites and stuff to try and narrow it down
talk to current students! the blog askacambridgestudent on tumblr is great, each area has an oxbridge conference each april if you can go, ask students at open days
they can tell you what it’s actually like
read some books in the subject area you’re considering, watch ted talks, go to masterclasses, do work experience
this will help you choose a course and also be useful later when you write your personal statement
okay so when i was applying people kept telling me i would only be successful if the only thing i thought about 24/7 was biology and it was the love of my life. this is not true. you can have other interests don’t believe the people that tell you that you cant
that being said you need to be passionate about your subject!! refer to bullet point 1!! they want to know that you’re interested in it and this needs to show
oxford vs cambridge
this is really hard for some people but my course is only offered at cambridge so i did not have this problem
so first see if you prefer the course offered at one of them
if not, visit both and hopefully you’ll get a better vibe from one
i have no good advice here
writing your personal statement
okay writing a ps is just not fun okay prepare yourself for that
if anyone wants a biology/natural sciences example message me and i can send you mine
this post has some really good advice
start early, aim to have it completely done and edited by early september (oxbridge deadline is 15th october)
first, think about things you want to write about - i wrote a paragraph on a book i’d read, a paragraph each on two summer schools i did, a paragraph on my epq, and a paragraph on extracurricular
things you can talk about - books, ted talks, lectures, summer schools, masterclasses, epq, independent research into stuff, work experience
when you’re writing about stuff you gotta engage with it, so dedicate a whole paragraph to one book, then take one key theme and talk about how it interested you and how you looked up other things to do with it - link it to a different concept or talk about which theory you like best if theres conflicting theories in the field etc
it’s a hard thing to do but just pick different bits you liked about the book and try to discuss it - a key theory, theme, character etc
you can be asked about your ps in interview so make sure you’re comfortable discussing the books on your ps
you also do not need to talk about multiple books if you don’t want to, i only talked about one and i know people who didn’t mention any
don’t just say things like “im passionate about biology”!! back it up with something!! say you’re passionate about one specific topic in your field and why, discuss how different things you did/read consolidated your interest, show your interest through discussion about the subject
try to link in slightly different subject areas or experiences, and definitely link everything to your course and why you’d be a good student
i managed to link my latin AS level to biology so anything is possible folks
while you want all your paragraphs to be very supercurricular based on things you’ve done and read, try and drop in some of those buzz words they love - you know like about your academic writing skills, enthusiasm, opportunity, dedication, communication, interdisciplinary skills etc.
oxbridge do not give a shit about your extracurricular but other unis do so you want one paragraph max on it and try to link it to transferable skills - it makes you a good communicator etc
write your first draft - it will be shitty but just write it, leave the intro and conclusion to last
introductions and conclusions are super hard to write but it’s doable. try to take the general idea you’re trying to include (mine was how interdisciplinary study is important to both all the sciences together and sub disciplines in bio) and write a little bit about it
it doesn’t have to be long, your intro should introduce your passion to the subject (please don’t do the whole “i’ve wanted to study bio since i was five and x happened” thing)
conclusion can be super short, just reinforce you’re excited to study your subject in a new environment and have new opportunities
look at the tsr examples for inspiration
try to make it cohesive ish? have a running theme? (like how this one has a running theme? i actually took a lot of inspiration from that ps)
don’t say things like “im a motivated and commited student with good time management skills” without smth to back it up - “while undertaking an independent research project, i developed time management skills, and researching x made me more interested bc y” is better (i mean still not incredible but i wrote that literally just now okay)
the student room has a load of examples from people who’ve already applied
read the ones in your subject, work out which bits you like and don’t like, apply to your own (be careful of plagiarism tho)
disclaimer: not all the ps on there are good
once you have a complete and awful first draft show it to a teacher
most people show it to the relevant subject teacher, but also to your tutor, the higher education adviser, oxbridge adviser
they will hopefully help you make it less awful but don’t let them change it so much it doesn’t sound like you
i showed mine to the oxbridge adviser at my school and well he laughed at it bc it was so bad so you know
but i didn’t listen to everything he said bc some of the things he wrote like no 17 year old would say
keep revising drafts, showing to teachers until you can’t stand reading it anymore then get someone else (maybe parents?) to spell check and be done with the horrible thing
no one likes their personal statement, you will read it in august and wonder how you could possibly write something so bad
the actual ucas application
make sure your predicted grades are at least as high as the entrance requirements
you don’t really have much control over your teacher reference but you can use it to mention things you couldn’t fit in your personal statement if you can convince your teachers to include stuff
make sure all your qualifications and stuff are accurate
the saq (cambridge only)
you have to fill this in straight after october 15th
it’s mostly boring admin stuff, filling in topics and class sizes etc.
you have an option to write an additional (shorter) personal statement
this is really useful if the course you’re applying to at oxbridge is different to the other courses youve applied to - such as if you applied to politics everywhere else but hsps at cambridge - use it to explain why you want to do that specific course at cambridge
but you definitely don’t have to write one, i didnt!
make sure you get this in on time
written work
for some courses you have to send in written work
i didn’t have to so i don’t have loads of advice, but make sure you send in stuff that you’re comfortable discussing at interview
they’ll be guidelines on the cambridge website and on your specific college’s website
admissions tests
not the most fun things
find the specification on the website and go through, highlighting and revising the points you don’t know
try to find some past papers and do them
this really depends on the subject you’re doing so i can’t give much more advice but if anyone needs advice specific to the NSAA shoot me a message
also, these are just part of your application and even if you came out of yours thinking it’s the worst test you’ve ever had it probably didn’t go that badly
the NSAA is the hardest test i’ve ever sat and i thought i had done completely shit and i still got an offer so there’s still hope
interviews
okay so first, don’t believe the rumours
you know the ones where people say they got given a banana and asked to use it to explain how quantum mechanics relates to of mice and men
interviews are definitely scary, but they are nowhere near as bad as people make them out to be, and they don’t ask you weird unrelated questions
make sure you know your personal statement inside out and you feel comfortable talking about the topics/books/etc you mentioned on there in depth
keep up to date with any recent news or high profile research in your field (you don’t need to know details, just have a vague idea of what’s going on)
this is especially important if you’re applying for politics or economics or something like that
if your school offers a mock interview, definitely have one, though don’t panic if you can’t have one there’s other ways to prepare
the whole point of interview is them wanting to see how you think and how you respond to unfamiliar problems
so i looked up a list of “past oxbridge interview questions” and practised writing down a quick answer to them and thinking about how i would go about solving the problem
oxford has some examples on the “sample questions” bit here
i also used this site but remember a lot of these probably aren’t actual interview questions
if you have an opportunity, just talk to your relevant subject teacher about the topics beyond your specification
you honestly don’t need to do too much interview prep, just do enough so you feel a bit calmer about the whole thing
hope some of that helps :)

Dating Profile Examples For Women
Tumblr media
If you want to grab a date in the virtual world, then you need to have a good profile to do so. Here are a few examples that will help you out.
Completely free herpes dating sites. Good Dating Profiles Examples. My ideal date starts with a quiet coffee and intellectual conversation in a cute cafe and ends with us getting ejected from a karaoke bar at 2am for drunk and disorderly behavior. FEEDBACK: Funny, light-hearted, and self-deprecating. This is a good bio. Super Short Online Dating Profile Examples. On some apps like The League, your bio has a 140-character limit. That means you’ve got a couple sentences max to make a good impression, which is crucial if you want a shot at meeting her in person. I want to meet someone who will introduce me to new things, adore (or put up with) my wacky moods and keep me in line. Very important: a woman whose profile does not include a shirtless photo or a photo of her with her car. I am looking for a woman who is confident. Someone who likes to play but can keep it real. Tinder Profile Examples For Women. “Visual artist and freelance costume/set designer. Former international ballroom dancer (the dancing photo is old, the rest are recent). These days addicted to the cliche that is hot yoga. I don’t have kids but I do have a small menagerie of pets, including a talking cockatoo and Spanish.
Lots of single people join dating sites in a hope to find a partner. But only a few can write presentable profiles and get the attention of quality seekers. A good profile on an online dating site is the one that stands out from the rest. The clichéd profiles describe seekers as intelligent, good-looking, educated, tall, attractive, and independent. A poorly written profile will get you a bunch of desperate singles and leave you all the more frustrated about your state. The reason most profiles are so mundanely written is because anybody and everybody can write a profile that states the obvious. Since words are all that you have to get someone’s attention, you need to know how to be witty to get some attention.
Given below are some examples that explain what a profile on a dating site should look like.
Example 1
I don’t like most guys, but… Perhaps that is what makes those few unique individuals that I do connect with all the more special. (Great, thought-provoking opener that shows a woman’s engaging personality). About myself: restless, analytical, and opinionated. I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I am independent but far from being a feminist. Sarcasm is a spice of life, so bring it on. (Guys really, really like to hear that). Timeless books and movies that make you wonder for days about whose side you are on, put great flavor into many of my evenings.
What’s your story? What are you greatest pet-peeves and what makes you weak in your knees from joy and happiness.
Example 2
I want to meet someone who will introduce me to new things, adore (or put up with) my wacky moods and keep me in line. Very important: a woman whose profile does not include a shirtless photo or a photo of her with her car. Not my type. I am looking for a woman who is confident. Someone who likes to play but can keep it real. Not a player. I’m looking for someone who’s intelligent and funny, beautiful and patient. Some who is loyal and makes me feel safe. I would like a woman who can surprise me every now and then. A woman who will support me, tell me if I’m wrong and will want me to do the same to her.
Example 3
I am looking for a girl, whom I can get lost in conversation with, just as easily as we can share one of those moments of comfortable silence in each others’ arms. I love to laugh and joke around. My job is awesome, but I know when I come home that this is where my priorities and true happiness are. I want to share my passions with you and expect the same from you. In fact, hoping to explore new ones we find together. If you are Christian, enjoy children, and enjoy the outdoors, we already have a lot in common. One of my favorite Psalms has a verse that says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart.” I am hoping that together we can live that verse well into our golden years.
Online Dating Profile Tips If you are planning to register for online dating, then it is probably a good idea to keep in mind some general dos and don’ts.

Thank God for small mercies! ► Humor is the essence of the profile. So, maintain it. What is the best dating app for older adults.
Online dating is fun, and if things workout in the real world as well, it’s wonderful. However, you need to be on your guard, considering the high rates of cyber crimes. Online dating advice for women and men is the same. Register yourself on a reputed website. The safest way of finding a reputed website is to ask your friends about it. If you’re online dating in 2018, chances are you’re on more than one dating app—and that’s great. Afterall, if you’re looking to meet people you wouldn’t just go to one bar or hang out with one group of friends. It helps to spread the love around and see what you find. Dating apps work a similar way. You meet different kinds of people and have different kinds of experiences on different apps—which means, what makes a great profile on one app, doesn’t necessarily work on another.

Her personality shines through, she stands out from the competition, and she reveals many attractive personality traits in ways that feel natural, not forced. And she flosses.” – Dr. Dan, my dentist “She’s not as crazy as she looks.” – My ex boyfriend Jake “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night!” – Betty Davis from All About Eve (Ok, so Betty didn’t say it about me, but it fits somehow.)
Yin, 27 Grew up in the Portland, Oregon area. Survived middle school by becoming a skater kid (still haven’t grown out of it). Now I’m trying to pay my rent, play my music, and make my way.
Looking forward to going to Brazil in the fall. If you have any tips on what I should see, definitely let me know.
There’s no getting around it—Tinder is massive and massively popular. And because it’s so huge and has grown so quickly, there’s sort of a, everything goes, Wild West of online dating type of feel to the people and profiles you see on the app.
Tumblr media
On Tinder, you can get away with using one obscure movie quote, a funny one-liner, or a complete joke in your profile as long as your photos are good. People are moving through profiles so quickly that writing a paragraph about yourself and your hopes and dreams definitely isn’t required, and may even come off as a little weird.

Dating Profile Examples for Bumble
Apps for international dating. What Works: Short and detailed, but take it seriously. What Doesn’t: Snarky comments or joke profiles.
Kenny, 43 If I could play one sport professionally, it would be soccer because I feel like it’s the least harmful. (Football is terrifying.) Which sport would you play? Which sport do you play?
Sandra, 32 My favorite movies are The Godfather, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Toy Story, and When Harry Met Sally. I hope that wide range of movies allows you to see that there is more to me than meets the eye.
John, 30 I haven’t dated much in recent years because I’ve been so focused on my career. Now I’m ready to meet the person who will pull my head out of the books and bring me a bit of happiness.
Latin dating free. Similar to Tinder, when you’re on Bumble it’s important to make it short and sweet. This isn’t like old school dating sites where you wrote longer descriptions about yourself and where you are in your life. Instead, you want to create a snapshot of who you are, and give enough information that makes people want to learn more.
However, unlike Tinder, Bumble’s women’s first approach to dating means that the site attracts daters who are slightly more serious and put themselves out there in a different way. If you only have one silly comment in your profile, it might not help you out as much as writing a little more about who you are, or focusing on one hobby you’re into.

Dating Profile Examples on OkCupid
What Works: Long profiles full of clever or candid remarks. What Doesn’t: Short profile or leaving things blank.
Tina, 27 My patronus is A black and white cat. I was hoping for something noble like a lion or stag. Heck, a llama, even. Nope. I got a housecat. If you take the Pottermore quiz and get a dog or a mouse or something like that, feel free to message me. J.K. Rowling is trying to tell us something.
Valente, 30 You should message me if You’re looking for something serious. I’ve done the short-term dating thing and no knock on it, but it’s not for me. I’m looking for a genuine connection with someone that thinks it’s okay to (occasionally) eat dinner after midnight. Open to dinner suggestions~
Tracie, 21 I value My family. I know it sounds corny, but I’m not ashamed to say it. Family comes first. Blood is thicker than water and all that. We’ve been through a lot together and in those hard moments our strength together is what gets us through. No doubt about it.
Back in the day, OkCupid was the dating app where people really tried to show off in their profile. You’d write long profiles full of jokes and language designed to show off how smart you were. (It was kind of part of the fun.) And, though a lot has changed about the app these days, there are a few aspects of its earlier self that still hold true.
On OkCupid you need to write a lot. And the more the better. People on the app, enjoy reading profiles and learning more about each other. Also, OkCupid takes keywords and information from your bio, and uses it to match you with other people so writing a longer profile can help you out a lot.
Unlike the past, you don’t have to show off quite so much, but it’s definitely recommended that you fill out every part of your profile with at least something. And if you’re the type that likes to go off about your favorite books, your obsession with the way the human brain works, or your experience canvassing for Planned Parenthood last summer, then go for it. This is the app where long profiles reign supreme.

Dating Profile Examples on Hinge
What Works: Fragmented answers that are unique and/or go with your photos. What Doesn’t Work: Not putting enough information in or being super vague.
You should leave a comment if You like cheese and would like to discuss it further.
The dorkiest thing about me I legitimately like romantic comedies. I grew up with three sisters and too man females and aunts. I was outnumbered. Plus, they have great dialogue and plot structure.
My most irrational fear Dolphins. Can’t trust ’em. Never have. Never will.
Unlike Tinder or Bumble, and similar to OkCupid though a bit more random, the relationship-minded dating app Hinge uses different prompts to help you fill out your profile. Because of this, it’s a little bit easier to come up with what to say, but you’ll have to work a little bit harder to stand out since lots of people will be answering the same question.
So whether you’re answering what you’re overly competitive about, explaining what the dorkiest thing about yourself, or saying what the worst idea you’ve ever had is; be as creative and unique as possible. And if you want some bonus points, try to make your photos match your answers so they tell a story together.
Dating Profile Examples on Zoosk
What Works: A short (or long) paragraph with details about who you are. What Doesn’t Work: Random statements or asking people to message you to learn more.
Zoosk is one of those dating apps that is part old-school, part new-school. (Full disclosure: The Date Mix is owned and operated by Zoosk.) Since it’s been around for a long time, a lot of people like to write long profiles that go into their life, hobbies, etc. Likewise, it’s pretty normal to talk about your divorce or your kids, whereas on other apps it might be better to leave that for later.
But you can also scroll through profiles quickly, so a lot of people don’t stop to read people’s full profiles until after they match. As a result, you shouldn’t write something random or something that’s only one sentence long. But profiles that are a short three to four sentences or more do pretty well.
Check out more examples of Zoosk dating profiles for women and Zoosk dating profiles for men.
Dating Profile Examples on Match
What Works: A few sentences that reveal something unique or essential about you. What Doesn’t Work: Something generic or not putting anything at all.
Erica, 33 I’ve been teaching 7th grade homeroom for the past three years and I absolutely love my job and my students. It’s hard work, but I bring a lot of energy to what I do and always have some leftover to get into trouble on the weekends at my fav. local bar. (If you play your cards right, maybe we can meet there.)
Francisco, 28 I’m A fun-loving guy who’s a happy dog-dad to my pup Tito. My friends would probably describe me as goofy but somehow I always end up being the responsible one. I do a lot on the weekend. I like to work on cars, BBQ with my friends, catch a local band (that I’ve probably never heard of but by my second beer I won’t really care as long as they bring it). Which dating app has the best success rate. If you don’t mind the dog or a little bit of a goof we could be a pretty good pair.
Jake, 31 I grew up int eh area and just couldn’t leave what has come to be my favorite place in the world. (My 14-year-old self would have never believed this.) I try to balance family, work, and time for myself and enjoy all three. I’m hoping to meet someone looking for something a bit more serious. Lately my hobbies include weightlifting and tinkering with music (no, I will not call myself a DJ). If you want to know more, just ask.
Match is another one of those dating sites and apps that has been around forever, so they’re somewhere stuck between the old and the new when it comes to the types of profiles people like to see. One good thing is that there are a lot of different aspects to Match’s dating profile so there’s not as much pressure to write a great summary. People do still read it however, so make sure you put in something worthwhile.
Like Zoosk, you can go long or short (it’s normal to see super long or just one-sentence profiles on Match) but make sure you don’t go too general or generic in your profile. Because there’s so much information on your profile already, the summary should be something people don’t know about you yet that really stands out so it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.
Zoosk free trial membership offer. Writing a dating profile is never easy. You’re trying to be creative and unique, while also describing yourself and who you are. The truth is, most of us think of ourselves as normal, everyday people; but there are things about us that make us unique. So dig down deep, and try to find those hidden nuggets that make you who you are. And the weirder the better!
Do you love chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips? That’s crazy but put it in. Have you never been skiing but always wanted to try because you love the mountains? Great detail, add that too. Have you always wanted to go on the Price Is Right because you’d love to bet $2 and really screw over the person who said $1. That’s a little evil but it’s an amazing detail.
Even if you don’t always feel that way, you’re an interesting person. With a little work, your profile will be interesting too.

Online Dating Profile Examples for Women
In this article you will learn how to transform your profile writing into writing that will attract the highest quality men online
By NEM Founder, Joshua Pompey
It’s easy to attract any man online. But attracting the highest quality men? That is a whole different story. With the highest quality men online receiving multiple emails each day, it is absolutely essential to create a profile that stands out from the competition and sparks immediate interest.
The truth is, I’ve been reading profiles for close to a decade, and most women tend to make very similar mistakes that could easily be avoided by following the correct profile writing advice. Today I am going to highlight some of these mistakes by taking some poorly written online dating profile examples, and transforming them into profiles that quality men will be extremely attracted to. Let’s begin, shall we?
The Cliche Online Dating Profile Example
“I currently work in marketing for Disney and love my job.”
So what exactly is wrong with the above statement? For starters, it is a cliche statement that will blend in with the next 100 profiles. If you want to get noticed online, you have to stand out from the competition and catch a man’s attention.
Secondly, it is a wasted opportunity. Whatever you write in your profile should always be used to highlight your best qualities. Unfortunately, this reveals very little about the writer and what she is all about. Let’s re-write the example above into a profile that will make a quality man take notice…
The New and Improved Online Dating Profile Example
Old: “I currently work in marketing for Disney and love my job.”
New: “Most people love the idea of going to Disney World and unleashing their inner child. I just so happen to live that dream every day as a Disney Marketing Consultant. It may not be fun and games all the time, but between incredible people I work with and the unique nature of each day, I sure can’t complain. And hey, free Disney tickets sure don’t hurt either! Care to join me?”
Eharmony quiz. Eharmony - a trusted online dating site for singles. Eharmony is the first service within the online dating industry to use a scientific approach to matching highly compatible singles. Eharmony's matching is based on using its 32 DIMENSIONS® model to match couples based on features of compatibility found in thousands of successful relationships. If you and this match received a 100 or higher in eharmony compatibility points, then you two are very compatible and we encourage reaching out. Take a quick look at their profile and send a message about something you have in common. The Compatibility Score displayed between you and your matches indicates how compatible you are with them. Compatibility Scores are based on a balanced ratio of similarities and contrasts that are the result of the Compatibility Quiz that all members complete upon registration. In the 'Compatibility' section of each match profile you can see which areas have a particularly high level of similarity and where.
In the revised profile example, the profile writer is no longer just an online dating cliche. Her personality shines through, she stands out from the competition, and she reveals many attractive personality traits in ways that feel natural, not forced.
The “needy and negative energy” profile example
“I need a guy who can make me laugh, wants to try new things, doesn’t cause drama, and has goals in life. If you don’t have a steady job and are not in my desired age range, I’m sorry but please move on to the next profile.”
There is nothing wrong with wanting (or not wanting) the qualities listed above. But the manner in which this profile is written will send all the wrong signals. This profile example comes across as needy, negative, and creates the impression that the profile writer may have had bad experiences with online dating in the past.
In addition, you will never scare off the men you don’t want by declaring all the qualities you are hoping to avoid. Most of these men aren’t even reading your profile anyway or simply don’t care. But you will scare off the all good guys out there by giving off negative energy.
The New and Improved Profile Example:
New: “If you are driven, down to earth, and love to try new things, we may just be one email away from hitting it off. If you can keep me laughing on top of that, maybe we should just start planning the second date now? :)”
Successful Dating Profile Examples For Women
This revised example is more or less sending the same overall message, that she wants someone who can make her laugh, has goals, etc., but it does so in a way that is unique, playful, slightly flirtatious, and fun. Overall, the tone sounds extremely positive. These are all qualities that men are attracted to. With online dating, proper word choice and phrasing make all the difference in the world.

You are all I’ve got,Damien.//Chapter 1: Swipe Right
Dating apps, right… I wasn't sure at first when my best friend Gemma showed me Lovelink.
Maybe Gemma is right; maybe I should try and leave this shit with Luke behind.
‘ Just remember not every guy is Luke; he is an exception to the norm, he has mental issues, and I knew it the moment I saw him with you, lesson learned the hard way …If you’re not going to give Greg a chance, at least try the app. I told him a million times that we could only be friends, but I feel horrible every time I do it because I know I’m hurting him.
I spend hours getting my face ready, and you just put on a moisturizer, mascara, and you are done’ She shook her head, always jealous, but always the one bringing the most of the male attention.
We went for a nice dinner had a very nice time after.
Standing against the wall with his arms crossed, deep blue eyes, light brown hair short on the sides, this sharp jawline that always makes my knees weak, a cocky gaze but not in an arrogant way, but that sexy and intriguing way. There was something soft in his look, something interesting. I stared at his picture for like felt forever, like I was hypnotized. Suddenly my phone got dark. I unlocked it as fast as could, looked once again, and opened his bio. I needed to know more about this guy. ‘’prison is giving me so much to think about, so I’m up for deep conversations ‘’ Excuse me, what?! Prison?!
If I only knew that Damien Jones turns my life upside down the way he did. I would swipe right anyway thousand times over

What To Write A Good Online Dating Profile For A Man, Woman: Bio, About Me, Headlines, Prompts & Answers – Examples Of How To Write About Yourself. Dating Profile Tips.
Tumblr media
As much as some folks hate taking photos, there are just as many people who hate to write or talk about themselves. Dating profiles are definitely photo-centric but you cannot let bios and about me sections go to waste. As a dating profile consultant, I have helped folks craft their online identity through photos and words. A good bio may not make up for bad photos but a good bio can be that make or break point in your profile.
How To Write A Dating Profile? How Do Your Write A Good Dating Bio: Examples, Tips
So you downloaded the dating app of choice, uploaded a few dating profile photos and synced your Facebook, LinkedIn, Spotify and Instagram accounts to populate your location, hometown, age, height, favorite band, company name and title. That was easy, wasn’t it? Not so fast.
While it’s true that most people only review the main profile photo when doing a first pass on profiles and also true photos account for 90%+ of the decision-making process on whether to swipe left or right, bios, prompts and answers to prompts should not be ignored.
Online dating profile bios are an essential piece of the puzzle to have in your online dating toolkit. While bios and answers will not make up for bad, unflattering selfies and ambiguous group shots, they can provide some insight, confidence and context that photos do not always convey.
Short bios and joke answers can signal immaturity, insincerity or lacking emotional vulnerability. These are often categorized as lazy, low effort profiles. Read more about red flags on dating profiles.
What Should I Write In My Dating Profile? What To Write About Yourself On A Dating Site Examples.
About us section of dating apps provide a creative outlet to write about yourself, observations about topics of the hour, ambitions, guilty pleasures, wittiness and obsessions. They also help to reveal intentions by showing how much thought and effort you put into marketing yourself. Thin profiles and using synced data only will make it difficult for people to take you seriously. A mix of your personality, lifestyle and what you seek should be conveyed in a dating profile.
How Do I Describe Myself For Online Dating: About Me Dating App Profiles
Bios or About Me sections should fill in the holes that you can do so via prompts as seen in Bumble and Hinge. They should be succinct, insightful, anecdotal and complement your photos and photo captions. Use specifics, be random – don’t be afraid to geek out a little.
How you spend your time, what piques your interest and examples of your knowledge, experience, culture go a long way to separating yourself from the competition. Don’t write about one time events, things from your childhood – the focus should be about the person today and how you spend your time. Be sure to include what you seek as well – profiles should be 2/3 about you and 1/3 about what you are looking for.
Writing An Effective Dating Profile, How To Do I Make My Dating Profile Standout: Avoid Resume Like Dating Profiles
A bio should not read like a resume, it should complement your photos and not be a summary of your LinkedIn profile. Adding places lived, favorite TV show, and favorite dish are good starts, but you still need some dimension, life in your bios.
Similarly, a list of adjectives can be biased, possibly inaccurate and impossible to invalidate online. It’s not any better if you frame the list of qualities through a third person: “My friends say I am caring, thoughtful, loving” blah, blah, blah.
Friends can be biased, friends may not want to hurt your feelings and maybe your friends can’t be trusted – who knows? I call these characteristics empty adjectives. Many people have a hard time being honest about themselves (just look at your co-workers LinkedIn profile). Acting too coy or using joke prompts and answers lack vulnerability and can be seen as defensive behavior by others.
Dating Profile Headline Tips: What Is A Good Profile Headline For Online Dating
These are typically used on sites like Match.com, OkCupid and POF where they are separate from longer, detailed bios and about me sections. These profile headlines can be cute, fun and random – movie and tv quotes are good (if done well). Avoid obvious ones from shows like the Office. Headlines like poke fun of yourself are great as long as you don’t go overboard. “Life is great, on dating apps at 41 – just like I pictured it”
Do You Like Guacamole?
Dating App Profile Tips: Use Details, Anecdotes, References – Dating Profile Templates
Tumblr media
Cliche answers, bios are not only boring but often lack any insight. Ask me anything, open to new adventures, liking Netflix or hiking is extremely vague. Dig into types of hikes with favorite types of trails i.e. short scenic, remote locals only/hidden gems, particular regions, half-day hikes, post-hike activities.
A great bio should reveal anecdotal insights, passions, beliefs, curiosities, guilty pleasures, some embarrassing tidbits and priorities. Short examples that illustrate points are great.
Taking a stand vs. trying to be the most agreeable or interesting man in the world is preferred. No one wants an exact clone of themselves. Be original, be you. It’s easier to connect with someone through a distant, random or obscure reference than it is through something cliche and mainstream. Don’t be boring: brunch, the Office, Game of Thrones will not get you far (see how many boxes you check off in this online dating profile bingo card).
Nouns like hiker, traveler, foodie etc. offer no insight into frequency, prioritization or level of commitment. Are you a casual Land’s End hiker or are you a weekend warrior that does 3-4 hour hikes. Are you a beach resort traveler or do you like to immerse yourself in culture and languages with locals different from yourself?
Are you a superficial Instagram traveler or do you have some depth to your curiosity. Do you like safe chain restaurants, dives featured on No Reservations or posh Michelin rated restaurants. Be careful about vague descriptions in your profile. The more vague the less interesting you will sound.
Bios should not read like a novel, but they should have substance. A balance of flow, randomness, self-deprecating humor, insight is key for a good bio. Many folks strike out when it comes to bios. Don’t let that be you.
Most people never seek unbiased feedback on their bios and profiles and the ones that do often times get biased feedback or have context into your bio and photos that a stranger does not. Friends, family members and co-workers may not want to be brutally honest with you or they might have some advantage that allows them more flexibility to get away with breaking guidelines for photos and bios.
HInge Dating App Profile Tip: Don’t Skip Photo Captions! What Makes A Good Hinge, Match Profile
Apps like Hinge and Match allow users to more easily humble brag or add details about themselves through photos by allowing for captions. Don’t ignore this free space. Prompts are great but can be limiting when compared to free-form bios so when possibly, take advantage of the opportunities to add details, prompts and opportunities for conversation starters through your photo captions.
Self-deprecating humor is great as it shows the ability to laugh at yourself and shows some creativity and possible good banter possibility. Including location, event, feeling, nostalgia or even a jab at yourself shows more effort rather than trying to force people to guess what’s going on.
Take Advantage of Prompts on Apps Like Hinge and Bumble
If you have a great story, reference or humble brag, see if you can share it using one of the prompts on these apps. These prompts are your best friend to help you set up an opportunity to talk about yourself without seeming as self-absorbed or randomly weird if referenced in a small bio. Prompts are added regularly so check back. Check out these posts for good prompts to use on Hinge as well as Bumble.
Short Dating Profile Examples, Witty Dating Profile Examples
Finance exec who will never end up on @MidtownUniform. Global Entry / Espresso cocktail snob / Worst fear: ending up on boyfriends of Instagram.
Relocated from NYC to trade in summer Fridays to Long Island for weekend trips to Mendocino, Big Sur and Portland. Former analytics geek turned designer. Own 2 small pugs, 800+ credit score and looking for a tennis partner in town and someone to knock out the Eater 38 list – interested?
Catch hiking in Marin on weekends followed by oysters, cold beer and sun at Pelican Inn or Cafe Reyes. I get too excited about open bar seats at restaurants, all things Japan, last minute road trips up/down Hwy 1, dungeness crab season and Colin Jost / Michael Che joke exchanges.
Mottos I live by: Treat Yo Self (in moderation) / going halfsies at restaurants is a must / travel like a local, not like a tourst / better to ask a stranger to take a photo than use a selfie stick
How To Write A Dating Profile For A Woman: Witty Dating Profiles To Attract Men
There is nothing worst than reading another cliche dating profile that is contains multiple entries from Tinder bingo i.e. wine, brunch, dogs, yoga, beach, travel, family is everything, no hook-ups, swipe left if, work at tech etc.
There is nothing wrong with those interests, hobbies but listing out those exact words is basic, lazy and cliche. If you want to attract a guy, put some effort into it, be creative and a little vulnerable. Don’t write what you think is cute, write for the guy you are looking to attract. Being too cute will only attract shallow guys.
Unexpected pleasantries, active lifestlyles, non-mainstream/cliche hobbies and interestes as well as self-deprecating humor are golden. With that said, you don’t want to reveal all your great attributes at once, good to reveal pleasant surprises over time, in person.
Avid runner, Japanophile, allergic to tech logo vests, last trip before Covid = Oaxaca, first trip after covid = Naples. Currently perfecting espresso martinis at home and just discovered Parks & Rec, looking for a tennis partner.
Pros: Won’t make you take absurd photos ala boyfriends of Instagram, great person to have on your pub trivia team, can get ready in under 20 minutes for a last minute roadtrip
Cons: Take my time to get ready for a night out, gluten-free / Celiac : ( / , might Hasselhoff food from a street vendor after a late night out.
Avoid Negative Language And Sounding Jaded
Don’t use phrases like swipe left if, no-hookups, not looking for, don’t message me if etc. This sounds dismissive as well as signals to others that you are unable to filter out such people on your own and lack ability to screen profiles and read people. This could actually backfire and suggest you are an easy target or encourage someone to accept a challenge to bypass your filters.
Avoid celebrity quotes and descriptions from friends. Describe yourself in your own words. Stop trying to pretend you are on dating apps against your own will.

How To Write A Hinge Profile: Hinge Dating App Profile Tips, Hinge Prompts
Hinge is a dating app that is a bit different from others. There is no bio field (about me section) but there are ways to make your profile stand out beyond good photos and good answers to prompts. Hinge has location and caption fields for photos. Many people either don’t know they exist, are too lazy to add info or rely on boring/cliche photo prompts that Hinge provides. Adding context can make all the difference in a profile.
How To Write A Bumble Profile: Bumble Profile Review Tips, Bumble Promptse
When it comes to Bumble, many people make the mistake of not fully utilizing the Bumble bio (about me section). It’s a great way to complement what you have in your photos and answers to prompts that you are unable to capture in those fields. The section should avoid repeating anything that is stated or obvious in the drop down fields or in your photos or prompts. This section provides the ability for you to express your creativity, quirks, self-deprecating humor and personality. For tips on Bumble prompts, read this.

Looking for good online dating profiles to copy? I gotchu, boo, with all the online dating profile inspiration and examples you need.
Here are some great, easy-to-copy dating profile examples & profile photo optimization tips for gents and ladies.
Feel free to mix, match, and edit these dating profile examples as needed to suit your situation.
Dating Profile Example # 1: Three things
An essential rule of thumb when creating your dating profile is to think of yourself as a product.
What are the best keywords to describe what “you” are, and what you’re into? (Ex: An engineer? A creative? An athlete/fitness enthusiast?)
Second, what is the “consumer” getting if they “buy”? (Ex: Your contagious enthusiasm for life? A good listener? Dating sites for larger ladies. Interesting conversation about books? Boozy campfires? Raucous club outings?)
These dating profile examples show that you don’t need to list everything there is to know about you.
Your bio is just an ad, so you want to pique interest, and leave the meaty getting-to-know-you stuff for chats and dates.
List three interesting things about you (interests, hobbies, goals) to make people curious and want to swipe right to find out more.
Examples
Astrid, 26 Kava enthusiast. Wannabe climber. Roomba owner.
Jesse, 27 Amateur Lego builder. Terrible cook. Aspiring snowboarder.
Dating Profile Example # 2: “Ask me about…”
Brevity is your friend, friend. A concise one-liner comes across as confident and self assured, like you know what you’re about and have nothing to prove. https://appshift583.tumblr.com/post/657976476495413249/christian-filipina-dating-app.
Use this short and simple “Ask me about…” template to steer your chat convo toward that one weird interest or fun fact about yourself you’re dying to share.
Examples
Taylor, 27 Ask me about my sleight of hand
Tumblr media
Jude, 23 Ask me about my cat’s tricks.
Dating Profile Example # 3: Movie quote
Referencing movies or tv shows is a really great way to engage on a dating app. Even though you’re strangers, you’re already connected through this shared social consciousness, so swipers will automatically feel positively towards you.
Reddit dating older women. Dating mature women can be an extremely rewarding experience compared to dating a lot of women in their 20s. Most girls in there 20s want to party, hook up etc. If you were a 42 year old man wanting to date a 28 year old woman, people would say she is too.
Examples
Heather, 22 I’ll have what she’s having (When Harry Met Sally quote)
Derek, 25 Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off quote)
Dating Profile Example # 4: Greater than/less than
These dating profile examples of the “greater than/less than” template show that you can reveal a lot about your interests and sense of humor without penning a multi-volume autobiography.
Are you always down for a good-natured debate? Rousing convo? This format is a great way to express an unpopular opinion or slightly tease about a topic you know people feel strongly about.
Examples
Claudia, 24 Captain America > Thor Meet new friends online.
Mark, 26 My Sunday roast > your mom’s Sunday roast
Dating Profile Example # 5: Quirky Interest
Got an unusual interest or passion? Your dating profile is the perfect place to reveal this little-known fact.
Sure, maybe not everyone will love that you keep track of your Minecraft progress in a spreadsheet or secretly take salsa lessons, but the people who do respond are already really going to be picking up what you’re putting down.
There’s no sense in hiding your quirkiness or nerdom. You may as well focus on attracting those who will jive with you than going for worldwide mass appeal.
Examples
Tumblr media
Ferrin, 25 My labelmaker is the single best purchase of my 20s so far.
Rory, 29 I may or may not use the Dewey Decimal System for my home library.
Even the best bio won’t make up for unattractive pics 😕
If your pics don’t look good, your dating profile doesn’t stand a chance at getting much notice, unfortunately.
Pro tip: Before you start swiping, run your dating profile pics through Photofeeler to see how women or men are responding to them.

What Does it Mean if She Responds to Your Text Right Away?
Tumblr media
Getting to know someone online has its limitations as well as freedoms. For example, you don't have to dress up or spend on car gas or dinner menus only to come back home all grumpy. Instead, you may just take a deep breath, type a super composed text message, and hit send. But wait, was that text enough? You didn't come off as an overbearing, creepy stranger, right? Even though you triple-read the one-liner message before sending it, every moment that passes before the blue ticks is a nightmare.
Tumblr media
Whoa, there's a reply! What to do next? Continue these PMs here? Or should you move the text messages with her to your dating profile DMs? How will you manage your icebreakers on different apps? Good Lord, texting and online dating had never been so hard when you were just looking for flings. But this girl right here is someone you really like, so you have to be way more cautious about where your Hinge conversation leads to.
What it Means if She Responds to Your Text Right Away
When she texts back fast, it means that she's making you a priority. Even if the conversation is casual. Even if you two are having a disagreement. Even if she has a million other chores to do. If she tries to free herself to talk to you, then mark my words, she wants to make you feel important and finds you special even without any formal commitment! For instance, she will randomly tell you about how her day is going, send a quick WhatsApp sticker if she’s too occupied, and use all of her break time for a sweet-salty banter with you like the one between these two sweethearts!
Tumblr media

If She Replies Is She Interested?
Here’s how you can know if she’s interested through her texts: She Texts First When she texts back fast, it means that she's making you a priority.
Is She Responding to Be Polite? Source One-word, emoji-less replies indicate that she's only being polite and formal, which are signs that she respects you but doesn't want to take things forward either. This could also mean that she's either struggling to find a way to end anything that's going on between you both or that she's confused about where this texting may lead to. For instance, this example here shows us how she would reply if she’s really into you. If this dude wasn’t lucky, she would’ve just responded with ‘Haha’s and ‘IKR!!!’ She Teases You and Flirts With You This one's a big sign that she's super into you! Most girls don't easily open up with guys, especially online, especially through dating profiles (yes, even the well-written ones!). But if she really likes you, then she won't hesitate to show you her witty and savage side. She'll tease you about random things and won't appear offended when you do the same with her. Before I say anything further, I want you to know something. You should actually have a strong dating bio on all your socials and dating apps to take your conversation this far. If you want to keep your profile game top-notch, then I'd love to help! I'm a dating profile ghostwriter with endless accounts of success stories from clients who were once just like you — butterflies in the stomach and chaos in the head. My text messaging and dating profile services can help you talk to your dream muse and get her swooning all over you in no time! She Takes 10 Minutes to Respond These days, most of us usually check our phones after at least ten minutes. If that sounds too short, then maybe half an hour or an hour in the rarest cases, or whichever time frame works best for you. In any case, a short and simple 'Hey BRB in 20!' doesn't take more than a few seconds to type and send. So, if she acknowledges your texts as soon as she gets the time to see them, then she's making an effort to be there for you whenever possible. Sure, sometimes her fast replies are only to ask you to wait until she's free. Still, at least she isn't ghosting or ignoring you. She also makes up for her absence with a long, detailed text or a meme or one of her signature jokes about her monstrous boss as soon as she gets the time! She's Concerned When You Don't Text Her When she's concerned about her relationship status with you, she'll probably ask herself, 'Why isn't he texting me?' or 'Why does he take forever to text back?' Occasionally, she may express her thoughts and even hint at her insecurities and fears when you take too long to text back. All of these are signs that she is investing her feelings, thoughts, efforts, and time in you, and she isn't afraid to admit that, either! Regardless, try not to drag her through too much. Self-respecting women don't exactly like being lead on! If you really want to come across as a keeper, then you’ll have to show her the same enthusiasm as she has for you. If she’s a girl of few words, then you can also keep your texts as short as hers. Short, but interesting! If she likes to flood your inbox with lengthy paragraphs, then you can try to send longer replies as well. If she uses lots of exclamation marks and emojis, then you can also try to pepper them into your text messages. If she’s a GIF-talker, then make sure your GIF game is just as strong! (Pro tip: try texting them at the same pace as they do, or check out this guide for a more detailed vision on adult relationships and texting!)
If A Girl Always Responds to Your Texts, Here’s What You Should Do
You're literally on cloud nine right now, and you don't want to mess this up, right? Now carefully listen to what I'm about to tell you: if you're not attentive enough, everything can come down crashing within minutes! Save yourself from that impending doom, and make sure you follow these tips to keep your conversations alive and productive! 1. Interact Through Different Apps If you only remain focused on talking through one social platform, she may mistake it for a lack of interest and commitment. Try to connect with her profiles on other apps like Tinder, OKCupid, Bumble, as well as through social platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat. If you don't want to come off as a stalker, you can simply ask her for her usernames and see if she's okay with it, before adding her and texting her anywhere else! 2. Respect and Appreciate Her Respect her boundaries. Respect how much she allows you to be a part of her day. Respect her when she asks for some space (no, it isn't always ghosting, it may be something else... I'll just get to that point in a bit!). Appreciate it when she remembers small details about you, and tries to make you the center of your conversation. This is the best way to develop trust and eventually forward in the relationship in a healthy manner.
Tumblr media
Source Want to floor her with these humorous-respectful replies after breaking the ice? I have some excellent ideas in mind! 3. If a girl stops replying to your text If she stops replying or her texting game has changed, then you may naturally feel worried. However, it's not the end of the world. Even if you and her do your best at this texting relationship, there's still a chance that things may not work out.
Tumblr media
Source At this point, try to figure out and clear any misunderstandings between you two. This way, you'll avoid having a list of soft-ghosting breakups, and you'll also be able to reconnect and revive a dying conversation with your old Tinder matches sometime later!
Conclusion
In the online world, it can be quite hard to express one’s feelings and keep the conversation afloat. However, it’s the effort that matters, and the right girl will notice it straightaway. If you’re stuck about how to proceed without making your texts sound dead and disinterested, I hope this guide helps you out. If you're serious about revamping your profile and taking your dating life to the next level, I can help. My professional dating profile services will give you a magnetic bio that gets you more clicks, replies, and dates. Read the full article
