When you can’t get miraak as a follower because he’s invincible out of Ethereal mode and there’s no fixes for it online and it’s Xbox so you can’t use commands

Important Skyrim bug fix!

PC only (requires console commands)

Posting because this info was spread across 2 different and ancient reddit posts and additional info was somewhere on 3736372 Goggle page.

If you can’t get through Delphine quest ‘A blade in the dark’

Before you meet Delphine make sure that you’ve activated the pedestal where the note instead of Horn of the Jurgencaller is in Ustengrav AND learn the word from word wall (located on the bottom of the section with trees and waterfall). Then visit Greybeards and give them the horn (Delphine gives you the horn).

If she doesn’t have dialogue options - load the game and before killing the dragon type setstage MQ106 160 then kill the dragon. Dismiss any followers - vanilla or modded.

If she still doesn’t have the option to finish the quest -

Sometimes the Miraak quest on Solsteim gets in the way - it’s better to have it finished

Also move away from Delphine, then sheathe the weapon and approach her slowly.

If another quest doesn’t start automatically, go to Riverwood, disable graphic improvement mods, make sure you have no followers and type in the console: setstage MQ106 200

Another way to fix NPCs that seem to be stuck:

1. Stand in the front of the NPC

2. Press ~ to open console commands

3. Click on the NPC with the mouse or A button if you’re using a controller like me

4. Type disable in console command

5. Type enable in console command

6. Press ~ to exit console command

It should reset/unstuck an NPC
