I think a lot of yall really have a racism problem when it comes to indigenous americans and no one wants to talk about it lol

had an anon in my ask saying "navajo isn't a race" so I Have to call myself white (and I do, I'm just white And native american which. is not white).

saw an insanely popular blogger (no I won't say who) who is not native but is a person of color saying we need to "bring back blood quantum" for them to judge who does and does not count as a person of color

I've seen multiple Multiple people saying all indigenous people are white and that it's not a race and Only an ethnicity so you can't experience racism if you're native unless you're also black or asian. and also lumping native latine people into this as well and saying every latine is white unless they're black or asian which is truly fucking wild like obviously some latine people are white but the straight up dismissal of brown indigenous latines is fucked up

and I need yall to fully grasp and understand that even if you are a person of color you are still capable of being racist. not towards white people obviously but towards other races.

I need you to understand that many indigenous people in north and south america face racism on the basis of being indigenous or brown. it is not just xenophobia in the case of latine people and it's not solely ethnicity based in the case of native americans

and I also need you guys to understand that the more you lump people into "white" the more you are doing white supremacy's job for it. and by calling indigenous people white you are in fact committing an act of violent erasure of our cultures and histories. there's nuance and there's indigenous people who are Also white/partially white but to say that as an entire group we are Only white and only oppressed on the basis of ethnicity is a braindead take im sorry

keep seeing undergrads on social media saying “oh if a prof has a strict no-AI academic integrity policy that’s a red flag for me because that means they don’t know how to design assignments” like sorry girl but that just sounds like you’ve got a case of sour grapes about not being allowed to cheat with the plagiarism machine that doesn’t know how to evaluate sources and kills the environment! I have a strict no-AI policy because if you use AI to write your essays for a writing course it’s literally plagiarism because you didn’t write it and you’re not learning any of the things the course teaches if you just plug a prompt into the plagiarism generator that kills the environment, hope this helps!
