💛💐On Christmas morning, Finni and the other servants are, of course, up with the sun preparing breakfast, cleaning, etc. Once Ciel is ready, then it's time for presents! Finni isn't the brightest bulb in the box, but he tries his best to get you something nice (Sebastian probably helped him out)!

⚡👍In the morning, Denki is sprinting down the dorm hallways with Mina and Sero, yelling for everyone to get up because it's Christmas! That is, until Bakugo literally blows his door off and almost murders them on the spot.

dazai osamu was no stranger to grief, having dealt with it since he was young.

in fact, he grieved every day, from whenever he saw a familiar curry restaurant to seeing children smiling and happily playing in the streets of yokohama, though it wasn't as obvious as it was because he's so used to it, dazai's able to mask it so well with a smile and his antics that one wouldn't even think he was going through such a thing.

everyone grieves at some point in their lives, dazai knows that, but he didn't expect you to be one of them.

[surname] [name], a distinguished member of the armed detective agency who joined the organization not long before nakajima atsushi.

dazai personally doesn't know much about you; in fact, he believes that none of them do, other than the fact that you joined in courtesy of president fukuzawa with a background that you're an ability user from a faraway city with a rather strange and exceptional gift known as chaos magic.

his colleagues frequently praise you for being so kind and almost like a parental figure to the younger members, especially atsushi, kyouka, kenji, and the tanizaki siblings. those kids looked up to you a lot and sought your advice all the time, even though you were about the same age as dazai and kunikida and fukuzawa and ranpo were the oldest members.

you were always smiling, always putting others before you and very dedicated to your job which makes kunikida personally think you're the ideal member of the agency, even if you were quite terrifying when you had to fight using your chaos magic.

but today was different.

your [color] eyes were cold, and you didn't have a genuine smile on your face. from the moment you walked into the office in the morning, it appeared forced, cracked, and almost broken. your fingers were twitching subconsciously as you sat down at your desk to go over your work for the day.

not only that, but you haven't been responding to dazai's flirtatious or silly remarks as you usually do.

everyone noticed the sudden change in your demeanor, but you dismissed it as insignificant, even though it was becoming increasingly obvious, at least to dazai and possibly ranpo.

everyone may also think it's insignificant, but if anyone in the agency is capable of seeing through such a mask, it's dazai.

he could tell by your eyes and expression alone.

you excused yourself today in the middle of the day to go to cafe uzumaki, which was just downstairs, but dazai immediately perks up and insists on accompanying you, "i'll come with you, belladonna!~" he said happily.

"it's fine, dazai. you don't have to.. i want to go get some coffee alone," you said dismissively, waving your hand with your tone being kind and soft-spoken.

"don’t worry, i'll treat you with anything; think of it as a coffee date between you and me, my dearly beloved [nam—" his brown eyes widened when your tone of voice became harsher.

"i said you don't have to, dazai!"

at the resounding sound of your scream, red wisps dispelled from your body as you clenched your fists and brought them down across the air. immediately, your red psionics seized dazai and took hold of his collar and lifted him from the floor that he immediately halted from talking. your chaos magic had automatically protected you with it perceiving him as a threat.

everyone in the office was taken aback by your sudden outburst that everyone stood up, alerted by the immense presence of red psionic energy in the air.

"[n-name]?" dazai gasped for air, his eyes widening in surprise as your red psionics was beginning to asphyxiate his neck–your ability working against his no longer human ability.

realizing what you did, you looked at your hands in horror. you immediately dispersed the red psionics holding dazai in the air by the collar in a frantic, the red glow in your eyes fading as well, and placed him down. "no! stop, i'm sorry!"

everyone appeared to be conflicted about the situation. yes, it was unintentional, but you were so dangerous. emotional too. it was also something they had never seen before. you were always calm and collected, not until now.

"[name], are you okay?" kunikida asked, slowly lifting a hand towards you. you can see the uncertainty in his eyes, the glint in his eyes. you hated that look you were getting from them.

atsushi and kunikida approached you cautiously as dazai stroked his neck and adjusted his collar, while the others looked at you with a conflicted expression. that hurt.

the way their eyes were filled with fear—in fear of you.

"don't take another step!" you cried out, raising both of your hands in the air, before your voice trailed off and hushed into a softer tone as you placed both of your hands to your chest, "i-i'm sorry. i just need some fresh air.. yes, that's right.. not coffee.."

"wait, [name]!" cried dazai, but it was already too late, you had already pushed the door open using your red psionics and fled.

you didn't dare to look back as you ran away, subconsciously activating your chaos magic, which increased your speed and allowed you to move in a fast forward like a video being put on sixteen times its speed.

you had no idea where you were going, but you just needed to be alone, especially after that and what had happened today.

you found yourself running into yokohama's cemetery, which was filled with graves yet a sea of beautiful greenery. even though it appears to be overwhelming you, your subconscious seems to know where you should be as you have clearly not moved on.

dazai was quick to run after you despite kunikida’s protests of just letting you be. a part of him just couldn’t leave you alone, not after that little outburst of yours earlier.

he remembers it clearly, seeing the sadness and loneliness within those red glowing eyes of yours, as well as hearing how strained your voice was.

he was quick to find where you ran off given his natural ability to predict and deduce with such precision strategically. dazai’s eyes then widened to find you sitting against a familiar gravestone underneath a tree.

he knew that gravestone all too well.

how in the world did you find yourself over there? did you know who was buried there? or maybe, was it just a coincidence somehow?

dazai shook his thoughts off and walked towards you slowly, not wanting to spook you out. he stared down at you for a brief moment as you hugged your legs to your knees with your face buried in your arms.

"belladonna?" dazai’s voice was soft and hushed as he slowly knelt down to your height.

"leave me alone, dazai. i don’t want to hurt you like that again." you said, your voice somewhat muffled as you refused to lift your head from your arms to look at him.

dazai stared and blinked at you for a minute, before stifling a soft chuckle as he shifted into a comfortable position and sat down next to you instead of just kneeling.

he placed a hand on the back of your head and proceeded to pat your hair gently when you didn’t flinch or scoot away from his touch, "you can never hurt me, love. besides, i know you didn’t mean it."

you continued to stay silent, and eventually so did dazai. the two of you just sat there by the gravestone beneath the trees with the wind’s breeze running through you and him as the leaves of the trees rustled.

dazai just continued to pat your head until eventually his fingers began running through your hair. after some time, you finally lifted your head from your arms, but you simply stared at your shoes and avoided eye-contact with him.

"i had a twin." you began, which made dazai let out a rather surprised and baffled hum, taking note of the emphasis “had”. but even so, he simply remained quiet and nodded his head to signal you to continue talking.

you spoke as you gripped your arms, continuing to hug your legs to your knees, "a twin brother to be exact. he was an ability user too. his ability lets him run fast in the blink of an eye. fitting for his tenacious, playful, and loud behavior if you ask me," dazai smiles softly when your lips twitch into a small smile.

but then, there goes that frown on your face again, quickly replacing the smile on your features, "but despite his superhuman speed, he still wasn’t able to run fast enough. he got caught in the crossfire while saving people back at our home together with me."

dazai took note of how your lips were trembling now and how your fingers were now twitching again in the same manner earlier back at the detective agency.

you closed your eyes shut, fighting back tears as you recalled the events of the past, of you and your twin brother exchanging banters, of being there for each other and fighting together until the very end, and finally the bittersweet ending wherein half of your soul got ripped from you.

"till this day, i can still remember it clearly. the feeling of my other half dying that all i could do that day was scream and cry my soul out as i saw nothing but red—just burning red," your voice strained once more as you shook your head, "or, i guess i should say today."

before tears filled the brim of your eyes and rolled down your face, your eyes widened as you felt a hand grab yours.

you turned to face dazai with a teary-eyed gaze as he intertwined his hand with yours with his other arm wrapping around you to pull you to him, putting the two of you in a much comfortable sitting position.

you bit your tongue, trying to hold back a cry, but he hushed you and pushed your head against his chest with him now enveloping you in his warm embrace and rubbing your arm.

"shhh~ shh~" hushed dazai, "it’s okay. let it all out, my love. i'm right here."

you broke down into tears at the sincerity and comfort that dazai was providing and cried your heart out. he tucked your head under his chin as he reached for your face, gently wiping your tears away, hushing you once more as he rocked you back and forth.

it made his heart clench painfully to see you in such a state, but he knows you have to grieve and let those emotions out.

"[name]?" dazai asked after a while, gently calling you and stroking your cheek as your tears trickled into soft and quiet sniffles.

you lifted your head towards up, looking up at him with a teary-eyed gaze. dazai smiles ever so softly down at you, "there you are."

"i-i'm sorry.." you hiccuped, shaking your head as you looked down to avoid his gaze, "i didn't mean for you to see me like this."

"nonsense, it's okay. you don't have to hide from me, [name]," dazai said comfortingly, hushing you gently, now holding both sides of your face in his warm and much larger hands to make you look at him again while still caressing your cheek, "okay?"

you nodded your head, swallowing the lump that got caught in your throat when you cried.

dazai then brushed your hair behind your ear while his other hand continued to cup your face, "grief is such a complex thing, no?"

you batted your wet eyelids at him as you watched dazai's lips move and talk.

"there are losses that rearrange the world and change the way you see everything, even when everyone else thinks nothing has changed," dazai continued as his eyes softened and he stared at the gravestone you two were at, "but, what is grief if not love persevering?"

dazai shook his head, softly chuckling before he pulled you in close to his embrace, gently placing your head on his shoulder, and you closed your eyes, saying nothing.

perhaps your arrival at this location wasn't purely coincidental. you initially thought it was just a peaceful location where you could separate yourself for a bit, having no idea who the lone gravestone was, but you already knew the answer thanks to your mind-reading ability and sensitivity to energies.

this could have been caused by your probability hex. perhaps it could have been a supernatural force too, such as your dead twin brother or whoever dazai was referring to earlier, but you like to believe it was fate.

you returned his embrace with one of yours, your free hand gliding across his back, a smile gracing your lips as you closed your eyes, breathing in the air softly, your heart and mind at ease in dazai's arms.

"a gentle reminder that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

we grieve because we once loved, and that love is a reminder that will remain with us.

[ author's notes ! finally had the time and brain cell to write something after being busy because of our thesis defense and mock interview. sadly, i might continue to be inconsistent in terms of writing and posts as i still have one more defense at school, and final exams are coming up in like a week. hahahahaha so yeah, it is so not slay at all ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)⁭ ⁭..

ALSO, i hope ya'll enjoyed the reference to vision's words to wanda, as well as megan divine's quote on grief. i find it fitting for dazai osamu, and honestly speaking i didn't know what kind of flow of writing i was going for exactly because i haven't written in such a long while, so hopefully it's okay ! that's all, thank you for reading until the very end hahaha ]

Tetcho Suehiro: A character analysis (Part 4)

Read Part 3 here first!!

A popular fan theory to explain this behavior is that Tetcho is neurodivergent and is on the autistic spectrum. This would explain his hyperfixations, unusual food pairings (which he finds perfectly normal) and him taking things quite literally sometimes. However, I'm not knowledgeable enough on this topic to feel comfortable writing about it. I'd much appreciate it if someone with more experience could add their thoughts to this theory.

One thing about Tetcho is that he just likes keeping to himself. He prefers to let others do the talking while he observes. He's usually shown standing in the background, only stepping up when he feels the need to, unlike Jono who's usually in the foreground, taking the lead.

At this point, I'd like to talk more about his relationship with Jono. We barely see Tetcho outside of fights or work meetings, but we get a glimpse of his more laid-back side when he's alone with Jono. As I've just said, Tetcho likes keeping to himself and usually stays in the background. But when he's with Jono, he becomes chattier - obviously Jono still does most of the talking, but the only time we see Tetcho smile and talk about anything other than his mission is when he's with Jono.

He fully trusts Jono and his ability, as shown in the Café Uzumaki scene ("What Jono says is surely right"/"There's no mistake in what Jono has said"). Although he dislikes the way Jono torments people, he stands behind Jono more than he stands behind Fukuchi - which is huge, considering that leadership and justice are the most important things to him - but not quite as important as his friendship with Jono. And Jono knows this. After Fukuchi told Jono the truth and Jono betrayed him, Jono was completely certain that, given the evidence, Tetcho would believe him over Fukuchi.

(I'm not at all trying to say that Tetcho doesn't respect and trust Fukuchi because he absolutely does. Interestingly, he's often drawn facing/standing behind Fukuchi, while he's usually on the same height as Jono - I'm guessing it represents how Tetcho looks up to Fukuchi as his superior and considers Jono as his friend and colleague.)

Obviously, the clearest proof of Tetcho putting Jono over the mission was when he abandoned all his morals and beat up an (innocent) 14 year old because Jono went missing (and he was only gone for like…15 minutes too) - "For just five minutes, I will place Jono above justice."

We've seen that Tetcho usually keeps a cool head during battle, taking calculated and smart decisions. However, during his fight with Kenji, he seems so out of his mind that he doesn't give Kenji time to explain himself, he draws illogical conclusions and doesn't stop to think about what he's doing. Remember how I said that Tetcho hates torturing others? This is the only instance where we see him being okay with it (Teruko tells him that she'll torture Atsushi and Tetcho is okay with it) and even torturing Kenji himself.

Only after the fight he realizes that he got overwhelmed by his emotions and ignored all his morals - and asks for death. He doesn't feel like he should be a Hunting Dog anymore. This once again demonstrates how seriously he takes his job and how important justice is to him. He realizes his mistakes, fully accepts that the ADA is innocent and lastly, becomes Kenji's friend (before passing out on the floor).

Now that we've covered everything single appearance he's canonically made and analyzed every action he's taken, it's time to get theoretical.

First of all, I find it interesting that after Tetcho realized his mistake after fighting against Kenji, he didn't feel like he deserved to be a Hunting Dog anymore. He still puts so much importance on being a Hunting Dog, he still puts this group on a pedestal. Imagine how his heart will shatter once he realizes that their leader was the actual mastermind behind it all. I wonder how it will end: Will Tetcho quit the Hunting Dogs and find another way to bring justice? Or will he, as a Hunting Dog, decide to do the right thing and kill Fukuchi and the DOA? (Little fun fact: The real Tetcho Suehiro actually quit his job as a politician. So maybe Tetcho will quit the Hunting Dogs?? Idk. I still want to see him do cool stuff tho.)

We haven't gotten Tetcho's backstory yet (and I will cry if it stays that way), so all we can do is theorize about his past. I think it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume he comes from a samurai lineage (like the real Tetcho Suehiro) and that that's why he takes so much pride in his swordsmanship. Since pretty much everyone in Bungo Stray Dogs is an orphan, I wonder if his parents also died when he was young. It would explain why he never learned how to (properly) cook and just mixes stuff that has the same color instead. What if his parents were killed wrongfully and that's why justice is so important to him? The real Tetcho Suehiro ended up in prison two times because he fought for freedom and rights. What if Tetcho got recruited while in prison? I can definitely see little teen Tetcho trying to punish criminals and accidentally ending up in prison because of it. I'd love to hear your theories and comments!!

I've spent like 6 hours on this, accidentally deleted the first 3 parts (multiple times) and had to write it all again and now my brain is all mushy. That's enough Tetcho for one day, even for the self-proclaimed biggest Tetcho fan.

TW for implied disordered eating (This post focuses on Kenji and his ability. I'll be diving in a bit so I'm putting the warning just in case. Stay safe out there)

People are sleeping on the implications of this panel and it's upsetting me so it's time to remedy that!

This scene is really important to Kenji's character for two main reasons. For one, we learn how he isn't always cheerful and happy, and he has a dark side, that we had never seen before. And, he has a pretty dark history that weighs heavily on his shoulders. He is fiercely protective of his friends, as we've seen, and it's partially due to the murder of his best friend years ago.

Kenji is the innocent character. The sunshine boy. The bean. You just want to give him a hug, and he can squirm his way into almost anyone's heart if you give him the time.

People tend to overlook his insight and darkness for his friendly charm and rainbows.

And this is important for the other reason- one that has been much less explored anyway.

If you look back in all of the scenes where Kenji was offered food (if you don't count when he gets food with Atsushi) he refuses it. He's never at Cafe Uzumaki with the others, he never goes out to eat with Kyouka or anyone, and later in the series (I don't exactly remember what scene) when he's offered food, he denies it because he feels that the agency will need his ability.

This is because he feels as if he's not helpful to the ADA without his ability, when he's full. But that's not all there is to it.

This panel shows that he doesn't need to keep depriving himself of food. He chooses to not eat because he feels that is the only way he can be strong, and not lose his control. He doesn't eat because he doesn't want to rely on anger.

They worded it very specifically. "The urgency of hunger". This isn't just wanting a snack, Kenji is starving himself because he feels it's necessary to protect the people he loves.

He's staying hungry to distract himself from the anger that fuels his ability. From the extra part of his ability, his Corruption, if you will.

Kenji is so much more than he seems and the ADA needs to see that before something happens that no one can take back.

I may or may not have forgotten to post anything at all for over a month-

But I found something in my miscellaneous collection of documents that (although unfinished) seems pretty good to post

I guess if it gets enough good reception, I might finish it (?)

Your entrance exam to the agency wasn’t very telling for what was to come in your job. In fact, it was rather lighthearted in comparison to what your everyday life was about to become. You had saved a group of innocent orphans from what would’ve surely been their utter and complete demise, and had thus been offered a position within the Armed Detective Agency, to which you accepted.

Even if such an action would generally be considered taxing, for you at the time it was not. You were filled with an inexplicably high energy for helping people regardless of how treacherous the situation, and it led you to dedicate your life to that. The ADA was exactly where someone like you loved working at.

It became even more of a wonderful place to be after you had properly met all of your coworkers.

Kenji, Atsushi, Kunikida, Yosano, the Tanizaki siblings, Fukuzawa, Ranpo, Kyouka, and every other person at the agency always gave the workplace a refreshing kind of uniqueness. Each day, even if most only consisted of bland paperwork, became interesting solely because of the people you were surrounded with.

There was one person who stood out amongst all of them, though. Dazai Osamu, the resident suicide-fanatic of the agency. His enamoration with the idea of killing himself didn’t interest you as much as it did partially mortify you. You just couldn’t grasp how someone could be so accepting towards the concept of being their own cause of death, let alone someone so enthusiastic about it, to the point where you had almost feared him for it.

Of course, Dazai couldn’t resist prying into your personal pseudo-fear for him. Contrary to your mortification towards his accepting stance towards death, he was interested in your contrasting ideas towards his perspective. He wanted to know what kind of ideas you had that caused you to harbor such a strong distaste for his own, and he wanted to possibly coax you into becoming more comfortable with him, if that was even possible.

You weren’t very willing to cooperate with him at all, but you eventually were forced to when you were assigned a mission with him not long after you joined. It was a rather quick and easy mission, which led to there being a bit of downtime before the two of you had to return to the agency- not that being punctual particularly mattered to him. Through some sort of a miracle, he had convinced you to spend the rest of the allotted time with him in Cafe Uzumaki.

Your initial caution was worn off within the first few minutes, due to his somewhat pre-calculated charisma. He wanted you to let your guard down, after all. Your time at the cafe was highly enjoyable, as he had only put his focus on making you feel comfortable with him.

Perhaps, though, it would’ve been for the better if you had just declined and went back to the office.

One event led to the next, as you and Dazai eventually developed a rather deep and complex relationship. Due to his overall goal being for you to understand him as much as he wanted to understand you, your relationship had taken a turn into a place where it was much more of an intellectual relationship. So much of it revolved around your different and similar opinions, ideas, ideologies, and other various intellectual facets. It was inevitable that your relationship would end up turning out the way it did.

You couldn’t really describe what you felt for him as love, because it felt like you understood each other too much for it to be something as unpredictable, uncertain, and illogical as that. It was just that love was the only reasonable way to explain what you two had developed, so you simply settled for that.

Even his confession had been deprived of love. He didn’t want you to love him nearly as much as he wanted you to understand him. Dazai would’ve rather had you agree to a double suicide with him instead of genuinely loving him.

It was quite late at the agency now, you didn’t even have to look at a clock to know that. The beams of sunset that had been trickling in through the windows had become sparser and sparser, now only being slight slivers that would occasionally peek through the blinds. Nobody else was around anymore, except for two people.

You and Dazai were the only ones left, as both of you had quite the urgent report to finish. It’s not as if the two of you spent your time properly, though. Dazai had distracted you with a rather striking question, which had further led to you getting sidetracked, and having not worked on anything for the past hour.

“So, if I were to genuinely ask you to commit a double suicide with me, how do you think you would react?” The bandaged man often asked these kinds of questions to you throughout the days, but never before with this kind of seriousness. His expression was nothing but serious, and even his body language seemed deprived of his usual comedic mask.

“I think I would decline. It’s hard to answer these kinds of questions with an actually accurate answer, but I think I wouldn’t accept,” you responded to this question with a far-away look in your eyes, as if your mind was somewhere else entirely.

“Hm…but what reason do you have to decline? Work has been tough, missions have been tough, life has just overall been shitty for you, no?”

“Hardship isn’t all it would take,” you were met with a momentary silence, “After all, hardship is something so common in life. If I were to try and die at every instance of recognizable hardship in my life, I would’ve died barely an infant.”

“Then, what would it take?”

He looked at you for an answer, with a frightening desperation visible in his eyes. You hesitated quite a bit before responding.

“...I suppose that it would take some sort of a momentous push to the idea of suicide. Whether that be a devastating event- or set of events- an indescribable storm of misery, a lover-”

“A lover?” Dazai quickly interrupted you, not even letting you take a breath after your words. “If a lover could make you consider suicide, then tell me, just how exactly could they get you to consider suicide?”

“I…I’m not particularly sure- it just feels as if a lover who wants to die would make me want to die with them.”

“If that’s the case, then I’ll be that lover. I want you to truly understand what it feels like to so deeply desire to kill yourself.”

Afterword:

I probably messed up Dazai's characterization in this, but I just kinda want to push something out into this blog, so it'll have to do for now

You’ve been quite the regular at the Uzumaki café. Everyday, at a specific time, you’d go in to order a nice cup of coffee, maybe tea, water, or anything you would like that day.

Of course, continuously coming to the café everyday at the exact same time caught the eyes of the Armed Detective Agency.

“Why do you think they come here everyday?” Kenji suggested, waiting for his order. “Maybe they enjoy the food here?” Tanizaki, who was peeking over from the couch stared at you who was sitting in your regular spot, just waiting for your order as well. “Or maybe,” Noami appeared, clinging onto Tanizaki’s arm then staring at you from over the couch as well. “Maybe they’ve got a crush on one of the members, a special somebody!” Noami grinned from ear to ear as she turned back to the table Kenji, Tanizaki and Akutagawa were sitting in — giving a very playful smile to Akutagawa. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?” Akutagawa noticed Noami’s stare, it was quite obvious after all. “Maybe it’s you! You might be the special one!” Noami exclaimed and teased. Akutagawa seemed like he was taken aback a little and Tanizaki noticed. He looked over at Noami to see if she noticed as well, and she did indeed.

“Not possible. I barely interact with them.” Akutagawa took a sip of his drink after regaining his composer. Noami and Tanizaki looked at Akutagawa in a somewhat disbelief look. “Wait, seriously?” Noami questioned, both the siblings stare still remaining on Akutagawa. Akutagawa and Kenji both looked at Noami “What?” Akutagawa put down his drink and looked at Naomi who was staring at him like an owl. “You like them?!” Noami yelled out, she was excited to know her friend had a crush on somebody she’d never expect but you also happened to overhear them.

You stared at them and Akutagawa jumped a little before Tanizaki told Naomi to relax. Noami sat back down, and whispered again “You like them?!” As much as Akutagawa knew he should deny, he simply sat there silently. Tanizaki and Naomi looked at each other, pure shocked as Kenji was congratulating him. Akutagawa simply took another sip.

You looked at the time on your phone and got up, thanking the two at the counter who had served you before leaving the café. Akutagawa peeked an eye at you before getting up himself. “I’m going to make a move on them. Don’t follow me.” he threatened at the last part, Naomi, Tanizaki and Kenji all cheering for him. However, Naomi was intrigued and wanted to follow them. The minute Akutagawa ran out of the café, Naomi got up and dragged Tanizaki with her.

Just as they were about to leave the café, a hand rested on Naomi’s shoulder. “Don’t distrub those two” a chuckle escaped the lips of somebody whom sounded like a woman. Naomi turned back to see Yosano and Ranpo. “Let them enjoy their time” Yosano said, making Naomi and Tanizaki sit back down into their seats as Yosano and Ranpo shared a snicker laugh. “Not very good at hiding his feelings, is he?” Ranpo took a lollipop out of nowhere and started eating it “Not at all” Tanizaki replied to Ranpo.

As Akutagawa ran out of the café to catch up to you, once you both were out of the cafés sight, he held your hand. “They’re suspecting us?” You asked, sliding closer to Akutagawa. “Yes.” He said nothing while you two walked away from the café, holding hands. “Try not to make it too obvious you love me” you teased him. He shot a glare at you, intimidating but you know it meant that he was sorry. “I can’t help myself when it comes to you” he replied after a few seconds of silence. You laughed at him and he pulled you closer to him, smiling — just watching your laughter felt like all his worries left him. You were truly very special to him.
