Incoming Valiant ramble
I am currently re-reading Rai (Valiant Entertainment edition) and I've noticed something....
I've always given Izak and Lord Vine 99 from Imperium and Life and death of Toyo Harada the same voice in my head and they act kinda similar in a lot of things.
Izak's backstory says that his people were created on New Japan using the genetic base of a creature that was caught floating in space. There's only one panel showing this ancestor but it kinda looks like a Vine to me.
Now, your average Vine isn't normally filled with rage and as bloodthirsty as Izak and they also have their telepathy. But if you look at LV99, he was especially designed to be a killer who can't stop until his target is no more, and he didn't have access to the Vine telepathy anymore.
And finally... Where was LV99 last seen in L&DoTH? He was climbing up the wire of the space elevator and then floating free above earth.
What are the chances he floated around earth in hybernation for hundreds of years before Father eventually caught him?
Wouldn't it be possible that Izak's ancestor is Lord Vine 99?

big fan of the locked tomb's version of the virgin mary. her first appearance is in a hazmat suit with a gun. her name is nineteen words. god's nickname for her references evanescence. her niece has blue hair and pronouns and several guns. she stole god's sperm. after she dies she fights a popular folk hero warrior from pluto. she and her newborn baby fell from space into a cult, a bit like a comet. she was planning to sacrifice the baby to open the locked tomb and start the apocalypse and kill god. she is not a virgin, and is bisexual. her skeleton is farming snow leeks to this day.

happy fabricator friday. time for me to post fabbylaris content okay?? obligatory these are all my personal headcanons and some of it has little to no basis in actual canon, it's mostly just me expanding on things I think make sense. with that out of the way.
I think, in theory, that Solaris is one of the very few people who could convince the Fabricator to leave Zoraxis. If not the only one. I doubt the Fabricator has many outside support systems, and while she could turn to the Agency for help... I doubt it'd go well for her.
So that leaves Solaris. Someone she worked closely with for years. Half a decade, at the very least. It would be incredibly difficult for her to get away with the amount of loyalty to Zor she has, and the manipulation she has to have experienced, and the fear for her life... But Solaris leaving might have planted the seeds of doubt in her mind. There's nobody she trusts more, despite the rocky start their relationship had.
I like to think that Solaris was the first person in over a decade, besides Zor, to actually... Interact with the Fabricator in a generally positive way. Solaris never belittled her, or talked down at her, or made her feel like she wasn't worthy of her rank... Because despite her prominence in Zoraxis, I don't think the Fabricator truly has a seat at the table. And this isn't really new to her, she's far too accustomed to being looked down on, but... It stings. With Solaris, though, she's finally someone's equal. There's mutual respect. It's nice, being appreciated...
So of course if she wanted to leave she would seek out the one person who might not turn her away. What else would she have?

You know what comic book company and it's characters deserve more recognition? Valiant.
Valiant has so many interesting characters, it's quite the shame that they don't get as much love as any characters from the Big Two. Maybe a movie, or TV series, or video game could help expand the fan base.
When I gave my brother five comic companies and asked him which he would pitch a game to if given the chance, he said Valiant. He's not a comic book reader like I am, so he like just chose the way that could give some freedom to the work. When listing off characters a Souls-like game he would want to create, he stopped me and picked X-O Manowar. Which you know what? I think X-O Manowar could work in a Souls-like video game.
"But what about the Shadowman game and the Bloodshot movie? People know those." Yes, but how big was their impact?
And moving on from video games to movies, I think Valiant's characters would work better in animation than live-action. There's something about the colors of Valiant characters that pop better in anything not live-action. Taking Batinthesun's Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe for example, while costumes are spot on, they don't look as good, the colors don't pop as much, least in my opinion.
What characters would I pick for a Valiant animated movie? First thought is Shadowman, then Punk Mambo popped into my head. She could have a style that sort of meets in the middle of Miles' universe and Hobie's universe from Across the Spider-Verse.
Maybe someone could make an animated series for Valiant's immortal brothers, the Eternal Warriors, Ivar the Timewalker, and Armstrong. You could even throw their sister in too. War-Queen is pretty interesting for a slightly newer character, newer in that she only appeared within like the last decade I belive.
Or maybe could have the Deliquents, Archer, Armstrong, Quantum and Woody, as a ragtag bunch of misfits for a more comedic animated series.

I have a theory. You know that episode where the Doctor fought the devil and the thing said 'The Valiant Child will die in Battle.'? What if it was never talking about Rose? Because Rose was taken to a different universe and the battle was technically already ended by that point.
But I believe in Journey's End, when the Metacrisis Doctor came to be, the Doctor's mind had managed to stay (for the most part) separate from hers. And I imagine at that point it may have been easier to simply just take the Doctor's mind out of hers without having to erase everything she had grown into while traveling with her best friend. Because she was ALWAYS brilliant, the Doctor simply made her see that and encouraged her to be herself. Traveling with him brought her Valiant, Corageous, Compassionate, Kind self to the forefront for everyone to see. Wheras, before a lot of herself was hidden away because of people like Lance and her mother(sorry not sorry, but Silvia picked at Donna's insecurities a lot in the episodes I remember) making her feel like the wasn't enough. Like no matter what she did, no one would truly care and would only find a different set of insecurities to pick at. And so she hid away parts of herself so people wouldn't pick them apart too.
I believe that the moment Davros shot Donna is when she and the Doctor's mind mixed and became impossible to separate without erasing everything. When Donna was shot is the moment she "died" right in the middle of battle. Because once her and the Doctor's minds mixed she KNEW it was the end for her one way or another. And while she didn't physically die because of what the Doctor did, Donna Noble still died that day because a lot of who we are is made up by our memories and our experiences. And if Davros hadn't shot her, I don't think she would have needed her memories erased. Though I suppose conversely, the Multi-verse might have ended and EVERYONE would be dead if he hadn't. So I suppose, it was inevitable. No matter what, Donna Noble would have died that day...
