Hypnotist’s Point of View - Hypnosis

Subject: I really liked the trance we did the other night! You have a funky... quirky kind of style, but I like it!

Hypnotist : lol. Glad you enjoyed yourself! I certainly did.

Subject : I hope you did! But we didn’t do much did we? Just a first session. No real fun yet right?

Hypnotist : Are you so sure about that? ;)  

We had talked a lot before we decided to do a session. I already knew 2 things:

1- They were a marvelous subject and... 

2 - They tend to forget almost all of their sessions, even if told they would remember. 

Hypnotist : Just teasing ! I was true to my word, no worries. Besides, didn’t you record yourself?

Subject : Right. I was about to say that I did and call your bullshit! :)

Hypnotist : No worries! I definitely stayed true to my word!

Subject : Glad you did! Means we can do this again! 

Subject : Which reminds me... 

Subject : You told me about this trigger you added or something. What is it? I assume it’s something that will drop me

Hypnotist : That would certainly be the case. Eventually.

Subject : Eventually? What do you mean?

Hypnotist : hehehehe 

Hypnotist : I mean that it won’t put you under right away, but add onto itself.

Subject : Adding on? I don’t get it...

Hypnotist : Well... The first time I use it, the trigger will just make you feel a wave of blank euphoria without dropping you, but if I keep using it... Then you WILL drop.

Subject : I think I experienced something similar...

Hypnotist : Or it might drop you right off the bat! You ARE a pretty incredible subject so... Who knows!  ;)

I think Thomas Astruc is just the best example of "Confidence of a Mediocre White Man" because I really need some of his ego, bro.

Like imagine if you will opening your mouth to critique Disney/Pixar movies as subpar, being generally rude to other people in the industry, and saying you've had more original powers in your show than the entire comic industry for the last however many years when your show is Miraculous Ladybug.

Like it's literally one of the most mediocre cartoons ever, I would even say it's bad, like genuinely for multiple reasons, but this dude thinks it's groundbreaking. (It's not even groundbreakingly bad, so he needs to calm down a bit)

Like I won't even post fanfiction until I've gone over it with a fine tooth comb, but this dude is convinced he's like amazing with a show that constantly resets, has no timeline, flat characters, and him as the lead on the show.

I'm baffled and annoyed, but like also so envious of that confidence. Like pour me a cup, so I can start sharing my work without constantly worrying that it might not be good.
