Sidekick yelped as another punch was sent to their jaw. They stumbled back, hand clutching the now forming bruise. “Give it up, kid, this isn’t the place for you.” 

Sidekick forced themself to stand up straight, ignoring the aching in their ribs. They reached up, wiping the slow-falling blood from their nose and clenched their fists, “N-no… I’m not letting Villain down,” They growled.

Hero only scoffed and crossed their arms, “Oh my, I think it's a bit to late for that.” A grin played on their lips, watching the confusion in Sidekick’s eyes. They simply pointed to the direction behind sidekick.

Sidekick’s heart dropped as they looked behind them. Villain was walking away. Not only were they walking away, they were walking away with someone. “N-no…” Hero just chuckled, coming up behind Sidekick, whispering in their ear, “Look’s like someone has left me a present behind!”

Sidekick spun around, their breathing uneasy as they shook their head, panic setting in, “NO! No, H-Hero, let me go.” Hero smirked, “Oh but Sidekick, where would you go to?” They took a step forward, stalking closer to Sidekick who only took a step back. “V-Villain..they- it- this must be a mistake!”

Hero barked out a laugh, making Sidekick flinch, “You see…that’s where you're wrong. Villain and I had an… arrangement… let's call it.” Sidekick gulped, their eyebrows furrowing, “A-arangement?” 

Hero smiled, kicking the back of Sidekick’s knees making them yelp and crumple to their knees, “I’m glad you asked! You see, if they won our little battle, they get my sidekick and I get you, and if I won, I get Villain’s layer.” It took Sidekick a moment to realize, but their eyes went wide, “No-” Hero smirked, “Yes, Sidekick, yes. They were desperate to get rid of you.” Hero grabbed a handful of Sidekick’s hair and yanked them up, bending down slightly so they were face to face. They dropped their voice, soaking in Sidekick’s shaking form, “I don't blame them either… you truly are pathetic.” Sidekick flinched, “D-don't call me th-that…”

Hero tilted their head, “Oh? Little one, I don't think you're in the right position to tell me what to do.” Sidekick whimpered, blinking fast, “Wh-what do you want from me?” Hero smirked, bending down and growling in Sidekick’s ear, “I want to hear your screams.”
