HOW WAS THE SHOW?? :O

DUDE IT WAS SO SO GOOD I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE!!!!!

I spent like 30 hours at/around the venue total and I expected the camping experience to be kind of miserable tbh, but it really wasn't. I met a little group of people and we got to hang out the whole time and as someone who has always had trouble making friends, it was just such an amazing experience to find these people who I could immediately connect with :,). It's actually kind of crazy how much I came to trust them. I had one take my phone back to her hotel room to charge and then two of them gave me a ride back to my place afterwards, which is not normally stuff I would expect or accept from people I'd known for less than two days lmao.

I'm sure you saw the toddler/mom shit on twitter, and that put a bit of a dampener on the beginning of the show, but honestly as soon as the opener started I forgot all about it. Peter McPoland was really good, and even though I didn't know any of his songs his set was absolute fire.

As for the pilots themselves, I cannot understate how powerful it was to see them in person. I was second or third row from barricade, which was way closer than I ever expected to get. The transition into No Chances went crazy, Guns for Hands made me sob, the Mulberry Street lights were so beautiful, "for the 23rd time in a row I seem to have forgotten my ukulele", etc. etc. I could literally talk about this show forever. It was so meaningful and cathartic and heart-wrenching to hear Forest live. I can't even remember the number of times I've cried to that song by myself, and it meant the world to be able to cry to it with thousands of other people.

ALSO my phone died halfway through Choker, so I don't have any videos of it, but they put Tyler's platform directly over my head and I GOT TO HOLD UP HIS DRUM DURING TREES!!!!! It honestly didn't even feel real, and I hope desperately that the girl standing next to me remembers to send me the video she took lmao.

It was an all around amazing first show, and I miss it more than anything. <3

is there a reason or theory to why Tom Zane in Alan Wake 1 (who presumably is someone Alan manifested to be a bright presence guide) introduced Scratch and, later in the DLCs, stopped answering Alan after he questioned Zane for writing a page about his childhood

#compendiumnotebook #alright finally get to post it! #the glare is killer but i still wanted to try #the con was super fun. there were some dickheads (what would u expect) but for the most part everyone was really nice #waiting in the yuri lowenthal line probably took like 45 minutes #there was an overflow line filled with people with sasuke funko pops and spiderman merch #it was super cute #all of the spiderman fans were incredibly sweet btw #the man himself was a sweetheart、you could tell he did this for a living. very professional. he had little things he would repeat over #a little kid asked abt yosuke and hes like “oh yosuke is my brosuke!” like he did it a million times、but he was still very polite #i was unfortunately a little out of it because there were too many people at the con but he tried striking up a convo w me #he knew what the poster was! he was like “oh neat、the kotobukiya one!” #like you can tell he tries to keep up with the franchises he's apart of for his fans and its sweet #aleks le was also very polite、 poor guy had to put up with carts of resellers though. like just carts of ppl with pops for him to sign #fortunately i got to actually ask him some stuff because i was better adjusted to the con. he thought my poster was cool #he said he had had 2 people previous ask him about persona in the con、so he was excited to talk about it #and oh lol #while he was signing he asked who i was cosplayed as because he thought i looked like akechi. lol. #very sweet men 、nice little expierence

Miss seeing those really cool painted, illustrated paperback book covers. Most of what I see now is minimalistic or photoshop stuff. Or my least preferred, covers from movies. Which aren’t inherently bad, but it’s just not… fun for me. Like I’m talking, I’m wanting covers where the cover artist went OFF. Cheap paperbacks with some SOUL. I want to pick up that book and be sucked into the world with the cover. I want that artist signature in the corner. More illustrated covers!!
