i don't want to make this month about discourse, because most discourse is arbitrary and pointless at best, and self-destructive and dangerous at worst. but happy pride month to all queer people in the community that have been targets of exclusion, abuse, or erasure by certain jerks in the community.

trans people, intersex people, black queers, aces/aros, mspecs, neopronoun users, xenogender people, transhets, gnc queer people, multigender people, people who use microlabels, mspec lesbians/gays, polyamorous people, queers with split attraction, and any other groups who have been targets of abuse, exclusion, or erasure by other queer people who should have had their backs.

i don't need to tell you that you're valid because it's not for me or anyone else to decide that your way of describing yourself is "invalid." you are the only person who can label yourself in a way that is fulfilling to you- and if that means not labelling yourself at all, that's great too! but i love you. i'm proud of you for existing, despite the fact that you have to deal with some queer exclusionists hating you on top of the queermisia from non-queers. your existence is beautiful. your queerness is beautiful. be proud of yourself, because you deserve to be.

love you. have a wonderful month, because you deserve to celebrate it just as much as every other queer person <3

and to the exclusionists in question: you don't get to blame the rest of us for hating you when you help make queer spaces unsafe for queer people. worrying about how other queer people identify is such a waste of time, because they're going to identify that way no matter what you think. your opinions on other peoples' validity means absolutely nothing. you are wasting valuable time that you could be using to be proud of your own queerness instead of reveling in your misery about other queer people daring to exist in a way you don't like. so try changing and growing as a person and stop spending all of your time worrying about what other gay people are doing.

Liebe European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, schade, dass die Studie (x) weder aromantische noch asexuellen Menschen in ihrer Befragung eingeschlossen hat.

Amisia (Afeindlichkeit; Diskriminierung gegen aromantische & asexuelle Menschen) ist real & passiert. Aber wenn niemensch darüber berichtet... 🔁

Auch aspec Leute (aro & ace) realisieren oft viel zu spät, was sie sind, weil es eben keine Sichtbarkeit oder Aufklärung gibt! Wir fühlen uns häufig so kaputt, als stimme etwas nicht mit uns. Als seien *WIR* fehlerhaft.Obwohl so ein Schmerz verhindert werden kann!

 Auch die Erfahrungen von Aros und Aces müssen in Sachen Gesundheit angehört werden.

Ob es unser Verhältnis zu medizinischem Fachpersonal angeht...(hier leider nur für Asexuelle: Wir Asexuellen teilen unsere sexuelle Orientierung nicht medizinischem Personal mit, aus Angst vor eben genau dieser Pathologisierung (gleiche Quelle; Jones, Hyter, Jomeen 2017))

Oder die Auswirkungen auf unsere psychische Gesundheit, die nachweislich beeinträchtigt wird. Afeindlichkeit und Amato- & Allonormativität haben Konsequenzen für unser Leben! (cw depression anxiety suicide: Asexuelle können selbe soziale Stigmata wie u.a. schwule, lesbische & bisexuelle Personen erfahren + Auswirkungen auf psychische Gesundheit (signifikant: Depressionen, Angstzuständen, Suizidalität; Yule Brotto Gorzalka 2013))

Auch unsere (Nicht-)"Offenheit" gegenüber unserer romantischen und/oder sexuellen Orientierung muss ein Thema werden.

Auch wir haben begründete Angst bei einem Outing auf Ablehnung zu stoßen! Fast 90% der Asexuellen vermeiden Offenheit! (UK's LGBTQIAP+ survey 2018; asexuals were more likely to NOT be open with friends, colleagues, teachers, neighbours, in comparison to respondents of other sexual orientations ; And overall avoiding be open about our asexuality (89%) > especially at home (58% vs gays/lesbians: 14%))

Und "housing difficulties" (Probleme bei Unterkunft/Wohnung)?! Auch hier müssen aromantische und asexuelle Menschen einbezogen werden! Es gibt nachweislich Bias gegen uns! (Wie zuvor leider alles nur bezogen auf das asexuelle Spektrum: There's research (Deutsch 2018) stating that “heterosexual persons are intentionally -biased against [aces] -would likely avoid them -discriminate against them in housing & jobs, sometimes even preferring other sexual minorities over asexual people (MacInnis & Hodson, 2012)")

Also, liebe European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights warum sollten beide Gruppen nicht auch mit einbezogen werden, frage ich mich? Unsere Rechte zählen auch!

All die Fragen, die #LGBTQ+ Leuten gestellt wurden, müssen auch aromantischen und asexuellen Menschen gestellt werden!
