I have been unable to get the idea of baby Kaeya sneaking off to Sumeru without telling anyone out of my head

Baby Kaeya: I have successfully snuck into Sumeru in a merchant convoy. I may have left without saying goodbye, but I’m sure the Ragnvindrs will not mind. After all, surely they don’t see me as their actual family. They might raise a fuss and be in agony if Diluc were to disappear, but not for me.

Meanwhile......

Crepus, on his 8th bottle: How on earth have I managed to lose an entire child?? Did he get kidnapped? Did he run away? Is he alive? Is he safe? I’m going to have a breakdown holy shit. I have failed as a father. Elzer, have the knights gotten back about their search of the area? Or the private squad I hired?

Elzer: I’m afraid they have found nothing...but look on the bright side! At least we haven’t lost Diluc...

Adeline, literally physically restraining Diluc to stop him from running off to search for Kaeya: Yet. We have not lost Diluc YET.

Merchant guy: Hey, uh, guys?

Merchant lady: Yeah?

Merchant guy: Can somebody read this handwriting? I think whoever wrote this must have been in a hurry or something. And are those...tear stains?

Merchant lady: Sure...hm looks like the boss’s son is missing....

Merchant guy: Huh. Well we guarded the goods pretty well but let’s check just to make sure.

Merchant lady: *Opens up the goods to find Kaeya wedged between 2 crates* Oh we’re so fired.

Kaeya: In your defense, it’s only been a few days. One time I hid from...something for a week. And it was far more perceptive than you are, so you can hardly be blamed for missing me for only a few days. It was a fun challenge, but I was very hungry afterwards. By the way, do you have some water? I did not want to risk revealing myself, so I have not moved from this spot since we left.

Merchant guy: We’re not fired...we’re dead.

Merchant guy: So...while we wait for your dad, why did you come here anyways? I’m sure we could do something fun.

Kaeya: Hmmm, no. You should not look into why I came here. That would be bad, for me and for you.

Merchant lady, whispering to merchant guy: Hey, um, what the fuck does that mean?

Merchant guy, whispering to merchant lady: The boss said his new kid was kinda odd, but this wasn’t what I was expecting.

Kaeya: Hello Master Crepus. I hope I didn’t cause too much-

Crepus: WHY ON TEYVAT WOULD YOU JUST RUN AWAY? DID YOU JUST WANT TO GO TO SUMERU TO SEE THE RAINFORESTS OR SOMETHING?

Kaeya: ...Sure. I read about it in a book and thought it looked cool. I wanted to see it, and so I left.

Crepus: *sigh* Kaeya, next time you want to take a vacation somewhere, please just tell us. You ARE grounded for a month since you broke a very big rule, but afterwards I’ll see about arranging a trip to Sumeru for us.

Kaeya: Crossing Teyvat to find me, grounding me, and arranging trips around my preferences? Why are you treating me so similarly to how you treat Diluc?

Crepus: Because you are both my sons. Why on earth would I treat you any differently?

Kaeya, forming the first healthy relationship with an adult in his entire life and realizing that he has grown attached to the very family he was left to spy on then eventually betray: Oh. This...I feel weird. Bad-weird and good-weird.

Crepus: Well, you probably feel weird because you were LODGED BETWEEN TWO CRATES FOR 4 DAYS STRAIGHT? You’re going to give me a heart attack one day, I swear. Now we’re going back to Mondstadt right now, and you’re grounded starting the day after we get back. I highly doubt Adelinde and Diluc will be able to restrain themselves from fawning over you, they’ve been a mess.

Kaeya, realizing that now only has he grown attached to his new family, but they have grown incredibly attached to him: Oh...oh no.

- omg this man 😭😭 he is (imo) the best roommate you could ever have.

- he'd probably be super nice when you two first meet and stay that way!!

- he wakes up at a fairly good time too, and if he knows that you're sleeping, he'll try to be as quiet as possible.

- he does his share (and often a little more, if he has time) of the chores consistently.

- kazuha even follows a schedule on when to do certain stuff - he writes it down in a calendar in the kitchen

- he does like to cook when he has some free time, and they don't always turn out amazing but the smell will have your mouth watering.

- his room is super neat!! It's very aesthetic and a little minimalistic, but not overwhelmingly so.

- and it's always clean!!!!!

- he mostly hangs around either in his room or the living room on a couch. Sometimes he'll come into your room, but he always knocks!

- he respects your privacy too 😍 this man is a treasure, treat him well

- he doesn't mind hanging out with you!! If you're into makeup, he actually likes to go makeup shopping with you and just chill while you pick out some stuff :)

- everyone thinks you're partners when you guys hang out, but kazuha doesn't seem to mind 🤭

scara (sorry it's a bit short, never rlly written anything abt him before 😭😭)

- he's a little turd but you still like him, and he gets confused because why haven't you moved out yet????

- he probably spends like 80% of his time away from the house (apartment? wherever you guys live basically), but he still manages to do his chores on time

- HIS EYELINER SKILLS. IK THIS IS A LITTLE IRRELEVANT BUT THEYRE SO GOOD OMFG

- anyways, he really likes watching movies super late at night, so when you join him 20 minutes in with popcorn, it's sort of a bonding time for you two

- he doesn't cook, so he orders takeout a lot... and what really surprised you is that after a week or so of living together, he started to order for both of you because "you were whiny that I didn't get you anything"

- (he actually does it bc he's trying to say thanks for putting up with him :))

- he goes to bed super late and wakes up super late. You have to deal with this by not making ANY noise when you do stuff in the morning or he will be very grumpy for like 2 days (you learned this the hard way 😭)

- on days when he's friendlier, he'll bring you stuff like plushies when he gets back. He'll say that Yae or Yoimiya asked him to give these to you, but you doubt that those two gave you twelve stuffed animals in the span of a month.

xiao (another short one 😭 just like his height)

- I mean... He's okay?? He just sits in his room a lot and I headcanon that he's kinda sorta a gamer so

- he doesn't mind doing chores for you if you can't, but he'll do them a little late because he's like that

- this man SIMPS for Chinese food, like I'm not joking. He doesn't know how to make it, but before moving in w you he searched up Chinese restaurants and that's one of the reasons he moved in lmao

- you guys don't really see much of each other a lot... but you always, always go on grocery trips together. Why? Because he seems to consistently forget the shopping list that you wrote down for him at home, on the kitchen counter, and if you go shopping for him, he complains that you didnt get the things he asked for (but he doesn't write you lists 👀)

- he does have his sweet moments too. If you play videogames, he'll play with you if it's multiplayer. If it's not - no worries, you'll both play it, sitting side-by-side.

- if you're not into videogames though, he does like learning stuff, especially from you. He thinks that you're a good teacher, and even if it's you teaching him how to make coffee (because he doesn't know and wants to learn), he'll keep persevering through it just for you.

- oh boy. Room time.

- his room isn't that bad, if you can look past the giant pile of Monster cans in a trashcan below his desk. It's often dark, with the blinds down, and if you're walking down the hallway, there's a 90% chance that you'll see green led lights shining through the gap beneath his door.

- speaking of his door, it's covered in those signs that say stuff like 'warning! no stupid people beyond this point' or 'dont touch me until I've had my morning Monster'. If you couldn't tell yet, he's obsessed with Monster.

- he streams on twitch, and he's pretty popular, so you'll hear screams of disappointment coming from his room quite often.

- but one sight that you'll never forget is when you went to bring him apple slices (did I mention that he likes apples??), you opened the door to him standing in front of his monitor in a maid dress 😭. According to him, this was a dare that his viewers had him do, and that you better not mention this to anyone!!

- he was so red when he was explaining it though 🤭🤭 you, being the kind soul that you are, swore on your heart to keep it a secret :)

zhongli

- omfg you KNOW this man likes having meals with you. That's such a random thought but hear me out.

- when you eat, he eats with you at the table. Even if you made something only for yourself, he'll whip something up for him and eat with you.

- ANYways he likes to save money so much that his room only consists of a mattress on the floor, a coffee table for a desk, a beanbag in the corner, and a bookshelf that is practically overflowing with books. You take pity on him, of course, and buy him another bookshelf, which he now treasures :)

- probably has a lot of plants around the house/apartment, and he takes care of them as if they were his children. There isn't a day when there isn't a bouquet of flowers sitting on the dinner table.

- if you're allergic to pollen, though, he'll make sure to buy plants, not flowers, like China Dolls or aloe vera or cactuses, whichever you like best 🤭

- he LOVES reading!! Whenever you come downstairs, you'll see him reading, and if you're interested, he'll recommend it or books like it. He does wear reading glasses and he looks really hot in them but don't tell him I said that

- he probably takes forty-minute showers, and the shower is chock-full of hair products. 2-in-1 shampoo?? Zhongli's never heard of it. He may be (nearly) broke, but he takes care of his hair.

- tbh I think he likes to bake bread. Idk if COVID is a thing in the modern au, but if it is, then he was probably one of the people that searched up 'how to make banana/sourdough bread' and fell in love with making it...

- I like to think that he has a nice and neat schedule for each day, and his sleep schedule specifically is so freakin amazing. He goes to sleep at around 9-10, and wakes up at 6am sharp 😭

diluc

- he also likes tea before bed (and any other time of day really). He loves the different scents of the tea and it calms him a lot, so be prepared for a ton of afternoon tea parties with him :D

- ok so we know that Diluc is super rich and stuff but let's just pretend that he roomed w you to save money-

- he works out. A lot. Usually in the morning and around 8pm, and he always goes to this super fancy private gym or whatever.

- and he KNOWS that you go 'ooga booga man titties' mode whenever you see his chest so that bastard is almost always shirtless

- "Diluc why are u shirtless??" "It's hot in here" "...it's like 65 degrees. How tf are you hot"

- no but he's nice though, don't get me wrong. He'll help you do stuff around the house that you can't and he always seems to be there to help. Can't reach something? Diluc's there. Can't open something because it's too heavy? Diluc's got you.

- he'll do chores, just not very well. Can't do the dishes manually at ALL, and if you do have a dishwasher (which he buys on the third day if you don't), he will fall to his knees and thank the gods.

- he has a 10-step skincare routine. His skin is flawless and you are a little jealous, but if you really want to use some of his products, he won't mind :)

- he can cook (but not desserts/pastries lmao). He's super good with the grill, if you want grilled meat or fish or veggies or anything, really. But if you don't want it grilled, he's just as happy to make it using another method!!

- super good at board games, he's especially amazing at monopoly. Nobody can beat him, and he's proud of it >:)

- you've never been in his room for some reason, but you expect that it's very modern and monochrome, with hints of red (obvi).

- he usually has kinda red eyes in the morning, though, and when you asked about it he said that he likes going for night drives, but you were a little suspicious

- you stayed awake one night and you could hear him exit, but no car noises 🤔 you still wonder on what's he's doing so late almost every single night...

- also speaking about cars, the neighbors are always shocked that there's a lamborghini parked outside of your residence (house, apt building, what have you) lmao

- they're always like "do you have a rich bf?? Who is he??" and you're like "nah he's just my roommate :D"

albedo

- this man!!! He's so big brain!!!

- he'll definitely help you with studying for literally anything. Computer science? He got you covered. Bio? Sign him up. Hell, even art? He's super good at it so he won't mind teaching you!

- but when I tell you that he consumes a lot of coffee, it's a LOT. Like 4-5 cups a day. You wonder how, and even if, he sleeps.

- he makes really good coffee too! He bought one of those super cool ones and the coffee he makes is legendary. No wonder he drinks it so often!!

- he barely eats simply because he has so much work, and you essentially have to force him to come downstairs. You make him eat lunch and dinner, and occasionally breakfast if he can. He's super grateful for it, because he sometimes doesn't realize his hunger until he sits down at the table and his stomach growls like a bear-

- he loves classical music, especially Debussy, and it's always playing in his room. You started warming up to it, actually, and now whenever you hear Debussy, you think of Albedo.

- speaking of his room, it's... kinda messy, actually. Think paper and pencils and eraser shavings everywhere. He does clean it up like two times a month, but the papers always reappear within a couple days.

- he really likes art, and he'll hang some of his faves around the house/apartment :) it honestly makes the whole space feel cozier

- does his chores VERY last-minute, but he feels bad about it. You always tell him that it's nothing to worry about, that he still does them, but he insists on trying his best to do them earlier, which you appreciate :D

- he actually uses you as an art reference sometimes, only if you're free for an hour though. He doesn't like paying for models to come in and pose so he saves money by asking you... or at least that's what he says 👀

- your main bonding time is when you go in his room (or vice-versa) and just chill. He likes your company more than he'd like to admit, and you sometimes catch him staring at you from across the room when you're laying on his barely-used bed.

Hanging out with them - Platonic!Tall Genshin Men x Male!Reader

A/N: Due to the upsetting lack of platonic requests with the male characters, I have decided to take immediate action. Sorry for how slow things are now, but the heat boils out my very soul daily.

Diluc is an introvert by nature. With most people he is lukewarm, no matter how kind or affectionate they might be. But you are different. You just feel right, or at least that's how he would put it. You're respectful of him and his way of handling social matters. Most of your time will be spent inside, visiting art displays or chilling inside the mansion with a cup of grape juice and a board game, or outside, fighting human scum and monsters in the dead of night. He never rests with his training, so he'll ask you to spar with him fairly often. Seriously, this man needs someone to have his back and teach him to lay back more, else he inevitably burns out.

Hitting the many taverns in Mondstadt in a duo is Kaeya's favorite. There's so much to pick up from the other visitors, aside from the obvious delicacy of alcohol. Sometimes the evening ends in following a shady individual and jailing them, other times you just enjoy a quiet drink, talking about everything and nothing. Maybe you'll even get yourselves hot dates, or even just one-night stands? With Kaeya's silver tongue and both of your charming looks, everything is possible…

Childe loves looking for trouble with you. Outside of Liyue Harbor, of course. Some stray Hilichurls, minding their own business? That's a good excuse to beat them up. You know, for public benefit! Treasure Hoarders in the wilderness? Well, too bad you two were passing by. Sometimes Childe wants to go undercover and have a drink, especially in the shadiest of taverns. The chances of a good old unarmed barfight are very high, and those of a Milelith patrol coming in - very low. Or, if you're not keen on real violence, you can always just spar, maybe even with the new recruits. They could use a good, humbling beating.

"Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember, but where are those that share the memory?" just became outdated. With Zhongli you won't be only reliving the memories, but making new ones as well. He sometimes can't believe you're real. It's been so long since he talked to someone of a similar mindset. Over countless pots of tea and bottles of wine you will spend your tireless nights talking about the world, how it changed, how it once was. Most people will find your high-level discussion unintelligible at best, unable to imagine the vast knowledge you two possess. And how about you invite old friends over? Especially Venti - drinking with him is never boring, you two know that best.

Due to his condition, any sort of physical exercise is out of the question with Baizhu. He tends to be very busy as well, so there's few moments where you can enjoy some spare time. Aside from work, he doesn't have many hobbies. Sometimes he'll play cards or board games with you, sometimes you'll down some shots (a reasonable amount of course), or play with Qiqi. The little zombie is such an amusing person to be around.

Beetle fights and messing around are both fun, yes, but those divine muscles don't maintain themselves, do they? As his Numero Dos, you're more welcome to tag along on Arataki Itto's gym trips. He'll spot you and give you any sort of advice you need, as well as keep you as motivated as youkaily possible. His incredible enthusiasm is virally infectious, so you'll get those abs in no time when he's around! He might be a silly oni most of the time, but he has an admirable discipline when it comes to staying in shape. He'll help you along the way as much as he can. But do join Shinobu's efforts to remind him that not every day is leg day.

Thoma is a soft guy, and he enjoys simpler and quieter activities. It would be hard for him to pick a favorite, however. He only does what he likes doing, and you make things hundreds of times better. Tending to the stray animal population is certainly one of his best picks - and it shows! The fluffy guys know you by look, sound, smell and feel by this point, that's for sure. If you've got some spare Mora, why not go out to eat? Or maybe just play some hotpot in the residence? Ayaka and Ayato certainly won't be against him using some leftover food to enjoy with his pal.

Despite engaging in entertainment and social events a lot, in reality Ayato doesn't like them. He needs to watch his every step, keep tabs on all of his fellow partygoers and keep his guard up. Things like chess are fun, sure, but they are quite taxing on the mind. Sometimes, Ayato just wants to get a few drinks in and play card games for money. Unrefined pleasures for sure, but don't judge him. It doesn't require that much focus, and he can devote most of his attention to a pleasant conversation with you. Thoma won't let his baby sister find the bottles or catch you in the act of gambling, don't worry.

Despite Sumeru being the land of wisdom, Alhaitham finds that there’s no shortage of fools and cretins in its society. Aside from the Akademiya, but even within its walls there are certain misplaced ‘individuals’. Hanging out with you brings a breeze of fresh air into his days. You’re not a fool, not by any means, you’re not as up-your-own-ass as the scholars he works along, and you’re not nearly as annoying as his roommate. He doesn’t want to read books with you, since it would be just wasting your time, sitting in silence. Instead, Alhaitham wants to discuss them. Your opinions are always fascinating, and your ability to explain them in depth is truly exceptional in a casual environment. In truth, you’re probably the only person he actively wants to be around.

Arts, literature, music… Kaveh enjoys them, yes, but there is something else - engineering. Not only architecture, but also mechanics. You’re great because you don’t ridicule him for even the craziest ideas he has. You laugh along with him, you help him build his inventions, and you never get tired of sticking new eyebrows on his face. Perhaps one of your designs will one day get popular? You’ll be rich in your thirties, that Kaveh promises every day. It’s also nice to have someone to lend a few thousand Mora when he’s in need… Don’t worry, he always is on point with the deadlines.

author's thoughts. anon omg... ive been wanting an excuse to write something like this again for a while! i am a professional platonic kaeya enjoyer <3 anyway i hope you like these!!! i decided not to go into the whole ragnvindr family drama thing because honestly? i go into that a little too often when i write about kaeya. i chose to give him a break today!

i see kaeya being very protective of his sibling. he's not so protective that it comes off as overbearing, but he's definitely very involved in their life only because he just... doesn't know what he'd do with himself if he let them get hurt.

given that he basically had to raise them...

it makes sense for him to be so involved. sure, he had help from the ragnvindr family, but kaeya did the most work when it came to raising his baby sibling.

when his father abandoned him in mondstadt, he also abandoned his youngest child, [name]. they were about two or three at the time.

he doesn't necessarily hold the same resentment towards the seven that other khaenri'ahns might, though he doesn't exactly lean in their favor either.

still... kaeya thanked the seven that they didn't get deathly sick (they were so young and frail that it really was a valid concern) that night in the pouring rain, despite how badly they shivered and cried. he'll never forget how utterly visceral their sobs were.

he doesn't doubt that they understood what was happening that night, despite how little they were.

because of that, kaeya doesn't hide anything from them. he tells them the entire truth about their origins as soon as they're old enough to coherently ask why their father abandoned them.

when kaeya and [name] were young, they were absolutely attached at the hip. once they're both older, they aren't seen together as much, but that isn't to say they aren't seen together; it's just that kaeya does have obligations as a knight and his sibling has their own commitments.

he loves them wholeheartedly.

if he had to betray khaenri'ah to protect them, archons know he'd do it. if he had to betray mondstadt to protect them, archons know he'd do it. he doesn't care as long as it means they'll be safe.

to kaeya, they are probably the most precious thing he has—ever since his falling out with diluc, at least. well... they were always his most precious thing. after his falling out with diluc, it just made them moreso.

part of the reason he despises those who threaten others' families is simply because of his sibling.

he does not take threats to their safety lightly, not at all.

kaeya's a very good brother overall, but he is 100% also the most annoying mf.

he's the type of older brother that makes his sibling do things for him and then guilt trips them when they tell him to do it himself LMAO

i feel like he can cry on command and does it just to make them feel bad when they tell him no!

you know that "i'm hungry. grill me a cheese" audio? yeah.

Kaeya: I'm hungry.

[Name]: So lick that coat, you smell like a—

Kaeya: Grilled cheese.

Kaeya: Grill me a cheese.

Kaeya, sobbing on the floor:

kaeya, as protective as he is, is also very laid-back. his sibling has just about as much freedom as they could want (within reason, of course).

kaeya, his sibling, and klee are a chaos trio. the three of them have lit a concerning amount of things on fire.

he's very physically affectionate!

ruffling their hair, leading them along by the dip in their back, shoving them (lovingly)... he's clingy, really, and just likes being able to touch his sibling because it reminds him that they're safe and alive.

if they ever wanted to become a knight, he's right there to support them. if they wanted to become an adventurer, again, he's there to help them out.

whatever they want to do with their life, he's their greatest cheerleader.

kaeya will always support them, but he's also very tough on them when it comes to training them physically if their aspiration demands physical strength.

they want to be a knight? an adventurer? a traveler, perhaps? alright, but they need to take him down in a fight first.

he makes every duel with him the hardest fight of their life.

kaeya needs to be confident that they can effectively defend themselves, and if he isn't? sorry. they aren't going anywhere until he is certain beyond a shadow of a doubt. he needs to know they can handle themselves, because—as much as he hates to admit it—he may not always be there to protect them.

wouldn't it be interesting if they got a vision while in a duel with him?

that'd be a very fascinating twist of fate.

How about some headcannons for Kaeya and his Traveller!S/O? (Featuring a Paimon cameo ofc)

I just like the idea that traveller (and those close) can use waypoints to be in multiple nations within a day. Just finished Sumeru commissions? Let's go to Good Hunter for lunch!

And that's exactly how Kaeya can get his knightly duties done and accompany his S/O. I'd also imagine he makes up some excuse that he's acting a diplomat for Mondstat..

Regardless I personally have dragged Kaeya around Teyvat like a child drags around their favorite blanket. The man has been EVERYWHERE. From Enkanoimiya to the Jade Chamber he's starting to rival Diluc's own travels.

As a fellow Kaeya main, agreed. This man has never left my team and I have gone to every nation in Teyvat with him. Kaeya Mains/Simps unite. I didn’t come up with a lot, but here are some ideas I did have (:

Kaeya traveled with you to Liyue but he had to return once you had to go to Inazuma. He has responsibilities in Mondstadt, he can’t be gone forever when his army is already absentee.

He doesn’t understand how the hell you managed to get the monuments around the map to work as teleporters

All he does know, teleporting makes his stomach flip and he hates it (but he’ll never tell you that)

The good thing about it though is being able to hold you close to his chest for the teleportation to work.

He does love the opportunity to take you to nice places though, he’s gone to several of the nations on business trips and negotiations so when you bring him to say, Fontaine, expect nice crepe shops or fancy French restaurants treated by him.

Kaeya is also 1000000% a shopper, has an eye for fashion, and gift giving is his language so both of you can spend an afternoon in different nation’s shops trying on outfits (and Kaeya will buy them for you as gifts for a later date)

He also buys gifts for friends in Mondstadt if he’s spending the day for you (which you don’t mind, they’re your friends too after all)

Diluc at this point has several Sumerian Vases in all sorts of colors, patterns, and cultures

It also makes his life easier if you send him to nations for conferences or business meetings, saves a few days of travel, and can get there almost instantly. Plus, he'll spend all his free time with you

His favorite thing though is when you surprise him with some special date. A picnic in Inazuma, overlooking the sunset over the city, a private night in King Deshret’s tombs, or scuba diving in the reefs of Fontaine, whenever you plan something special, his heart fucking melts.

He looks back at you and you just melt his heart. He would do anything for you. When Diluc says if he’d rather eat a living Cryo slime or join the Fatui, Kaeya would he the Cryo slime for you. No joke, he almost had to one time.

“Kaeya, look I found this flower. Look.” You say holding the flower

“Yes Y/n it’s very pretty. You know what?” He asks

“What?” You say with curiosity just filling your eyes.

He lifts your chin and says, “it’s not as pretty as you.”

In this AU, there isn’t the risk of fairies wings breaking if they travel into colder/warmer climates. Some fairies do struggle with certain temperatures so they take care to stay in certain sections in pixie hollow. The home tree has rooms specified to each talent, and winter fairies have an underground tunnel they can travel through to reach the home tree. After they make it to the tree, it’s only a short flight with some discomfort from the warmth before they’re in their rooms, specially designed for their preferred/needed temperature. They also have their own home tree in winter, but it’s isolating to be away from the main home tree and the rest of pixie hollow, so most winter fairies will take the trip to spend time with their friends.

In order to compact overheating in warmer seasons, water and frost fairies will gently wet and cool their wings with a light layer of frost, to help them stay cool longer. If they’re in the warmest parts of pixie hollow, it’s harder to keep them cold, so winter fairies tend to stay away from those areas. In normal warm temperatures, a light spring or autumn, the frost casing will last up to three hours before it finishes melting.

Below is a list of the fairies that mainly reside in winter, and some headcanons about them.

Kaeya-Kaeya is one who enjoys any weather but the heat. Kaeya patrols some of the coldest parts of winter, but always returns to the spring home tree for a nice cup of hot chocolate and some delicious food. He enjoys the social scene, and stays up late at night. He’s never overslept, and is always efficient with his work.

Ayaka-Ayaka resides mostly in the home tree, liking to be close to her brother and friends. She’s known for doing her work quickly and gracefully, never needing to go over her work again. She loves spending time with Yoimiya and Thoma, but when around them she has to frost her wings. They’re both just so bright and warm!

Ganyu-Ganyu is alright in any temperature, but she enjoys being around all the snow. She resides mostly in the spring home tree.

Chongyun- Chongyun absolutely cannot stand any heat whatsoever. Even with his wings frosted, he has to be constantly sucking/eating something cold in order to control his temperature and keep him from overheating. He enjoys the spring and autumn areas, though he tends to spend more time in his room, where his friends come to visit him so he can be more comfortable.

Shenhe-Shenhe, despite being absolutely fine in warm weather, is uncomfortable around other fairies. As such, she doesn’t leave winter often, choosing to reside in the quiet less populated winter home tree, rather then making the trip to the spring home tree. She has few friends, though she always makes a trip out to see YunJin’s performances.

Rosaria-Rosaria is from spring, though she’s one of the fairies that is perfectly fine in the colder climates. She finds them comfortable in fact, though she doesn’t mind warm weather either. She’s taken to patrol in winter/the winter borders, as she’s able to receive patrol logs from the winter fairies and carry copies to spring as she heads home.

Other fairies with temperature issues:

Tartaglia-despite being a spring fairy, Tartaglia enjoys the colder climates. He despises the heat though, and will wilt with exhaustion. He’s passed out many times from heat stoke from overheating himself and staying in warmer weather too long.

Qiqi- despite being a glacier fairy, Qiqi is not allowed in winter, unless she’s with several guides. The endless white setting will cause her to quickly become lost, and she will simply stay put until someone finds her. The cold does not bother her, but she stays in the spring and autumn regions, as she grows tired and weak in the heat.

Diluc- Diluc prefers the warmest of climates. He enjoys cooler temperatures too, but he despises winter. Kaeya teases him for how much he shivers when the temperature gets slightly too cold, and Diluc will protest that it’s unnatural for a garden fairy to do well in winter.

hey hey!! this is chatterbox anon; was wondering if some of my asks got eaten by tumblr :D I sent something akin to a feels trip with a dendro vision S/O + the abyss on other news, i got a few other ideas too; Childe and S/O having a family, and while Childe loves to fight, neither he or foul legacy can bear the thought of letting S/O look after the local strays/garden pets, their kids AND the house on their own whenever Childe's spars leave them both injured, so, Childe swaps places with Dottore! No one questions the change as they're all too happy to beat the sick doctor to ER on a regular basis.

Childe now fights Zhongli, who doesn't mind; however, they still spar in a dojo/gym/empty space meant for it, as FL does not want the kids to learn of everything so early or so fast. Well, they know the moth exists, they just haven't been told that those arms only good for hugs and piggy back rides- Oh and, another funny idea; FL freaking out internally when one of Childe and S/Os kids ask if they can start training now once they are at a reasonable age, it's difficult to ignore the request given not only is the kid responsible but they have a vision (a pyro vision, which in my HC symbolizes a strong passion for something which they want to spread/teach ; even Diluc is passionate for many things, and the rest was obvious) Childe having a child who is passionate about training/getting stronger to protect, while FL screams confusedly in the distance was simply TOO comedic to me, i'm so sorry

that first point about you taking care of so much gave me an idea- it's Foul Legacy who notices and gets Childe to stop his weekly spars with the Traveler

you never even complained about it or anything- in fact, you're content with working hard, it's just become a part of your life at this point. but Foul Legacy begins to notice how quickly you fall asleep at night, how little you speak unless prompted, too tired to come up with words, and how little by little you become more and more fatigued. Childe cares for the kids and house with you, but even the relieved pressure of that isn't enough to combat your busy schedule of work and looking after seemingly everything. Foul Legacy's more focused on you, see, even if he loves the children, and more often than not you drop right to sleep whenever he starts cuddling you

so he starts pestering Childe to drop his sparring sessions- they're fun, yes, but they take a lot our of him and a lot out of you from patching him up- plus, Foul Legacy had curiously lost most of his battle-hungry nature ever since he met you, and Childe could always go out to find something or someone else less damaging to fight. Childe agrees rather quickly, since he was already considering it too, but decides to keep it a secret to surprise you!!!

the next Monday, you're in your office doing more work and the kids are playing in the backyard when your door creeks open, Childe peeking around the corner. you're confused- isn't his appointment right now? but he just grins and says that he... shifted that responsibility to someone else, so he could spend more time with him family <33 he immediately poofs into Foul Legacy, scooping you up and setting you on his lap with a purr- he's missed your snuggles!!! the ones where you're awake!!! and since it's earlier, you're not as tired, so please give him pets!!! once the kids come inside he'll have to go back to being Childe, and Foul Legacy gets sad when deprived of your affections!!!

Mondstadt Boys Reverse Harem HCs.

Diluc:

Somebody help this man. Diluc genuinely loses sleep over trying to figure out how best to appeal to you, wanting nothing more than to have you return his feelings. He kind of shoots himself in the foot by doing things for you in the shadows. You’ll always find your tabs always paid for, your rent is taken care of on months finances were tight, a lack of monsters in areas you frequent. He hopes to have the confidence to tell you some of that was him one day.

He is very gentleman-like with you, something that wins brownie points. Diluc holds the door for you, pulls out your chair, offers you his jacket if it’s cold out, the entire works. Kaeya snickers over how basic his approach is, but as long as you seem receptive, he could care less. You can expect him to always walk you home. It doesn’t matter that you wield a Vision, or that you’re adept with a weapon, he is walking you home and that’s that. Diluc is very stubborn about this, but it’s only because he cares for you so much!

Diluc is deeply appreciative when you initiate and lead the conversation. He’s an excellent listener, despite his almost constant poker face, taking in your every word as if it were scripture. Although, he has a bad habit of dropping his eyes to your lips, yet vehemently denies this accusation. It’s worse on days where there’s some sort of pigment on your lips, this man is so touch starved, he’ll be staring at them in silent awe.

He has, for his credit, tried having “talks” with Kaeya about you. Diluc is firm in the fact that Kaeya wouldn’t be any good for you, given their history and Kaeya’s original mission. While he is possessive, at his heart, he cares deeply for your safety and wellbeing. Of course, these talks never really make progress. Kaeya just ends up with more stuff to tease him over when you’re around.

Deep down, he’s insecure about your thoughts on him. He’s polite and well-mannered, but is that enough to successfully win you over? Diluc fears he’s going to come off as too protective because well, he is, as a result of losing so many people he’s cared for. In those times he’s at such a loss and it’s only exacerbated by the attention you’re given by others.

Kaeya:

The silver-tongued Kaeya finds himself unexpectedly worried over your impression of him. He’s aware that he has a bit of a reputation, and while such things don’t normally matter, you’re important to him. He wants to make you blush, yes, but he also wants his interest to appear sincere as he feels it is. This is the first time he’s truly loved someone and it’s somewhat unnerving.

Kaeya’s internal dilemmas rarely rise to the surface, he commands his body language and general demeanor perfectly. He takes a more traditional approach to romancing you, asking you out on dates to get delicious food, or offering to go stargazing. The time you spend together never feels uneventful. He makes an adventure out of everything, easily able to entertain you for hours on end with his wit and charm.

He is unfairly observant. Kaeya catches the indiscreet, longing looks Diluc sends your way, how Venti trips over himself to catch your attention, how the composed Chief Alchemist of the Knights keens his ear when you speak. Unsurprisingly, he’s most interested in challenging Diluc. He’s the easiest of the bunch to rile up, and well, he’s had practice his entire life.

The atmosphere when both Diluc and Kaeya are around you is... horrifying, honestly. They’re both exchanging forced niceties and ingenuine smiles. Neither of them thinks the other deserves your affections, and as the saying goes, all is fair in love and war.

Kaeya is able to spend more time with you than Diluc can, due to the latter often being away on business, and boy does he rub that in. He’ll exchange inside jokes with you, refer back to events that only you two were present for, ignoring the holes that his brother glares into his head. Of course, there’s the added benefit of seeing you smile and laugh. He’s enjoying himself a little too much.

Albedo:

Albedo puts a great deal of thought into how he will interact with you. The first few times you two speak, you may notice he comes off as reserved, especially when comparing it to his conversations with others. Initially, he had so much to say while working up the courage to approach you. When he finally managed to do so, he found himself uncharacteristically tongue-tied, and could only say the bare minimum as not to embarrass himself.

He wants so badly to get close to you but isn’t sure what the proper methods are. His area of expertise is concrete, it’s quantifiable and can be tested. Human relationships, on the other hand... he fears that if he messes up once, he might not get any more chances with you!

An edge that he has over the other boys is his work. Albedo is able to ask for your assistance on his simpler endeavors and purposefully picks places where you two can be alone together in peace. This is where he’s at his best. He’ll talk to you in detail about his work, what everything means, how he came to his conclusions. If you ask him a question, his heart might just burst from his chest.

He’s not a very confrontational person. Albedo actually finds it interesting to see how the others interact with you, taking mental notes on what is effective and what isn’t. Of course, he wouldn’t be too thrilled if they were making considerable advancements, and might even let Klee out of solitary confinement prematurely to act as a distraction lmao.

The sole exception to this rule is when Kaeya and Diluc are going at it. In that case, Albedo believes you’ll become disillusioned with their behavior, and simply watches the ensuing chaos. For how well-tempered Albedo is, he isn’t against throwing in a dry remark only for your ears about the two.

Venti:

Venti is probably having the most fun out of everyone here. A natural extrovert and outgoing individual, he can get just about anyone to warm up to him, and he knows this. It doesn’t take long for him to spark up a friendship with you. There are no awkward silences or forced conversations, everything between you two flows so naturally. It’s almost as if you were lifelong friends.

He doesn’t really flirt on purpose? Sure, he can be a bit teasing, but a lot of his compliments for you are from the heart. Venti might say it in a lighthearted way, yet his words carry unexpected weight. You won’t ever doubt that he cares for you greatly. There’s this unexpected... somberness that will sometimes come out of nowhere. It’ll be gone as fast as it came, and he’ll return to his bubbly self in no time, but you still commit the experience to memory.

It goes without saying that you are his most precious muse! He’s never felt attached to sappy love songs, and while he might jokingly mention a mushy lyric here or there, lots of his newer songs are subtle in their loving touches. Venti composes words and meanings centered around belonging. That’s why you are to him at the core — a home he never had — one without the need to be defined by four walls.

Venti doesn’t stir up the pot with the others that much. He might dramatically cling himself to you, but he’d be pressed to tie you down. That goes strictly against his belief system and he could never bring himself to do it. Sure, he might make a silly jab at the others, though it stops there. He wants you to choose whatever will bring you the most joy, and if that isn’t him, well... it’ll hurt but at least you’re happy.

He might feel inclined to clue you in about his true identity and past eventually. However, he does so in such a crpyitc manner, that you can’t help but wonder if you’re looking too far into things. Not to mention, he is the king of deflection. Venti does have a considerable soft spot for you, so if you ever pouted hard enough, he might just break and tell you more. Might.

Speaking of Genshin kiddos, how many do you think the guys would want? Personally, I think the serious guys like Zhongli, Scara, Albedo, Xiao, Diluc, and Dainsleif would only want one. I could see Thoma and Kaeya (if he learns to love himself) wanting both a son and a daughter (Kazuha would probably be okay with either one or two). Gorou may want three or four as he comes from a large family himself, while Childe and Itto would probably want as many as they could get.

oooh that's actually an interesting thought! hmmm i'd say:

diluc: one or two, he's more than satisfied with one child but if his partner wants one more he'd be happy to oblige as well (though i think two would be quite enough for him). he'll spoil them rotten for sure though LOL

kaeya: two!! also i agree! he'd love to have a little girl and boy running around the house, though he doesn't care about the gender really he just wants his children to grow up with a sense of comradery (since he knows how important it is for children to build that while they're young), and he knows that if anything ever happens to him that his children will rely on each other as siblings (also it's an excuse to spoil them twofold with affection and gifts hehehehe)

albedo: one would be preferred; he's got his hands full with klee after all. and i think albedo is the small family type: he's content to be surrounded by the few people he cherishes closely and large families would be far too rowdy and loud for him. one little munchkin is more than enough to build snowmen with after all :P

childe: yep yep yep 100% i agree with you, childe would ADORE a huge family. he's accustomed to the hustle and bustle of a large family and being able to start his own would make him so incredibly happy. i kind of see him like tanjiro from demon slayer except in a fatherly position where he cares for everyone and takes the brunt of the labor just so he can watch his kids and partner live and easy and content life. also: more kids = more cuddles from dad!! :D

zhongli: i'd have to say maybe two or three. i see zhongli as someone who values the strength and stability of family both in a supportive and structural manner. structural as in the eldest cares for the younger ones, who will do their best to pull their weight, and supportive in that his children would all care for each other and learn to be emotionally open both with themselves, each other, and people outside of their family. (building a bond with siblings can aid in the bonds you build with people outside of your family, and i think zhongli sees that). but apart from all the technical stuff, zhongli would adore having two or three kids just for communal bedtime stories or group trips to historic sites in liyue. it's about the familial bond for him :)

xiao: one child would be the greatest gift to him. like albedo, he's not much for large groups and seems more comfortable in a smaller family.

kazuha: one or two...or three, really whichever way the wind blows. i think his limit would be 3 though. there's no particular reasoning i have for this other than kazuha seems to go wherever the wind blows him, even if he does have his limits. he doesn't care particularly about the number of children so much as he does care about cherishing and loving them with all that he is.

scaramouche: one brat, and that's IT/lh. (thinking about his lore rn hnnngh) but really though, scaramouche would only go soft for his child and his child alone. though he only wants one, there's no doubt that he'll do anything to protect their innocence and happiness.

dainsleif: i'm honestly not sure! i think it depends on how you interpret him, but maybe i'd say one or two (he'd love twins AAAA)

thoma: numbers? nahhh thoma doesn't care LOL he's got plenty of love to go around! whatever his partner desires will be a great number for him since he loves to care for those he cherishes no matter their quantity. he's also big on familial bonds and comradery so a group of tight knit siblings all united by their sibling bonds and love for each other would make him the proudest dad >:D

gorou: actually i think i'd have to vouch for a smaller family of one or two kids! gorou was a middle child if i remember correctly, and whew boy being the middle child in a big family can suck at times. and since he knows how that feels, i think he'd want to avoid letting his child feel the same way he did. also, considering he's an army general it would destroy him to leave his children behind if he were to die, let alone only one of them. at least he knows that if he's gone, they have each other. also just...gorou being soft for his little ones and helping them brush their tails and groom their ears EEEEEE he wants to teach them all his fighting tips and tricks too >:D

itto: AAAA SO TRUE he would definitely want a big family!! similar to thoma, he'd let his partner decide but if it were just him he'd take in as many children and babies as he could. the familial bond is really important to him and he'll do his best to maintain it

Pairing: Kaeya x G/N!Reader, mention of Varka and Diluc.

Warning: Slight swearing, Kaeya is a lil shit, reader being stubborn and scheming, immense tension

Summary: You’re so terrible at swordsmanship that you can’t withstand 2 strikes from Kaeya or, are you?

Disclaimer: What is written in here is based on my imagination, nothing from this fic should be taken seriously. Most of the fact I put in this fic does not follow the lore of the game so it should only be taken as a grain of salt. For example: section 8 in Knight of Favonius codebook.

A/N: I struggle so much when I wrote this piece. This was suppose to be angstier but I tone down a little bit (because Kaeya was very OOC in my draft, I think he’s still a bit OOC in this fic but I tried my best ;-;, pls don’t bite me.)

As a strategist of the knight of Favonius, you don't usually have enough time to finish the towers of reports, the never-ending meetings and dealing with cheap tricks Fatui diplomats. Often, you have to skip your daily sword training session, which results in a rather miserable situation. The whole practice ground is staring holes at your defeated posture. You are sitting on the hard soil ground, and the Calvary captain is towering you, his sharp blade just a few inches away from your throat.

It is not a strange scene for any knights to lose a spar against the Calvary captain, he should be one with the best swordsmanship after Grand Master, and maybe Acting-Grand Master, too. However, as knight, they can usually withstand him at least more than 2 blows.

Whispers and talks start to circulate around as soon as you stepped your foot in the training ground. It’s very uncommon to see people from that department wandering around this area. The strategy department is famous inside the Knight of Favonius to be the weakling-cunning-mouthy-jerks, who always find excuses after excuses to skip the monthly knight evaluation.

So, who gives them the right to be exempt from the test? Of course, it’s from the ultimate high chief of strategy department. Rumours say before the strategy chief works for the Favonius knight, the man was once a legendary attorney. That person can flip words from black to white, turns the defendant from guilty to innocent. With a profound convincing skillset coming from the chief, persuading the Grand Master Varka is easy as a piece of cake. The whole department of 10 people is easily off-hook for 3 years, never participate in the monthly evaluation before the man suddenly dropped the bomb 2 days ago.

“ I’m tired from coming with excuses to cover for your lazy asses.” The man waved his hand, his eyes staring outside the window. His nails scratching the messy shaved chin.“ Varka seems to get used to navigating my thoughts-”

“Maybe time is wearing away your skill-” At the corner, someone accidentally blurted out, and the whole table gave him a sharp look. Did he have a death wish or something? If so, everyone here can happily dig him a hole, free charge for the coffin.

The chief cleared his voice again, blue eyes melancholy drifted to the table. “So, you guys have tried your best on this monthly evaluation. I hope to see you all again next month.”

The meeting was dismissed afterwards, and everything spiralled into chaos. The whole department hasn’t touched anything aside from the parchment papers and the quills in the last 3 years. How are they going to master the swordman-ship in 2 weeks?

But, the worst thing is,

Your well-respected, talented, and tactful chief has run away.

The next morning, you received the news that a foxy old man is on a business trip to Fontaine with the Grand Master. The expedition is 2 weeks long.

You should have known what he meant when the deceitful man ambiguously ended his sentence like that. Nothing goes well when the chief said: ‘Farewell, my comrades’.

For the last 2 days, you have been starting to familiarize yourself again with how to hold a sword and how to swing the sword.

As you trail along with the long-forgotten memories, trying to look through the familiar feeling when swinging the sword, you hear footsteps coming in your direction. It is familiar, with the way the person is walking, the beat, the sudden burst of noise in the air, you can only conclude it’s the Calvary Captain. The practice ground seems livelier as soon as the man steps inside, people rushing to his side to give their greetings. Maybe today is one of his practice days.

“ Never thought I would see you here.” The young man calls out, successfully jostle you up from your thoughts. You give him a complex look and turn away, focusing on the tattered dummies. Your wrist is screaming in protest, legs wobbling. You remember those golden days when you were young when you were flexible, and your bones didn't crack as much. Oh, where the golden days have gone?

“What do I own the honour of seeing you here, captain?” You fold your arm defensively, voice monotonously. Kaeya despites the most when you start talking in an emotionless tone. Oh, how you love riling him up in the middle of the practice ground!

“ I come here for my weekly practice, but-” He shrugs, eyes glinting with mischief. “ look like the rumour about the abolishment of special permission for the strategy department is true.”

So he has heard the rumours. You roll your eyes, face blanks. You know Kaeya has his own way to obtain his information, but you never thought it’d be this fast. Words don’t easily leak from the strategy department.

“What do you need? Make it short, so I can practice for the upcoming evaluation.” Tired of his long introduction, you ask him directly. If you are going to ignore him any longer, the man will continue poking you.

Starting an argument only wastes your time, and asserting dominance in the middle of the training ground won’t boost your ego. You’re a strategist, your weapons are detailed plans and sharp word, not sword and bow. Showing off your strength in front of those ruthless knights don't improve your relationship with them.

“ Straight the point eh?” You give him an impatiently look, tempting to ignore him again before he flashes you a smug grin. “How bout sparing with me?”

The whole training ground falls in silence, and you direct at the captain a confusing look. Is he serious? No one in the knight except the Grand Master can go against him, not to mention someone who hasn’t touched a sword for three years.

“I can help you with your training, and you can help with mine” Kaeya speaks with utmost confidence that you almost nod and agree. That man is really deceitful, he knows how well your skill has gone dull, yet he still wants to practice with you? What is this man plotting?

“ Do you realize how absurd your offer is? ” You give him a complicated gaze, voice unwavering. Everyone takes in a deep breath, tension crackling. It's not everyday scenery you often encounter. A heated argument between the mischievous cavalry captain and the tactful strategist. Nosy people gather around the pair, internally hoping for the war the breaks out.

“ You know well that I can’t properly block your first strike.” Light-hearted, you joke, but there is no hint of amusement in your voice. Sharpe eyes glaring at the blue figure, you notice the man remains unfazed.

" Shouldn't you choose a more competent opponent?"

The sound whispers and talking about the reasons why Kaeya picked such an easy opponent start to circulate, and you can’t help to curl your lips up. Within a few seconds, you have effortlessly turned the gossiping direction toward your desired path. Flashing Kaeya a victorious grin, you tap your foot impatiently, waiting for his reaction.

You should have worked at PR damage control or marketing instead! The diplomat would have been fine too! At least, you wouldn’t need to practice swordman-ship.

As you mulling on your terrible choice of career, a chill runs down your spine. Tilting up, Kaeya is beaming sweetly at you, the frost slowly creeping up and nipping your shoes. Look like you just pressed the wrong button.

The man narrows his eyes, and you gulp nervously, avoiding his calculating gaze. Kaeya chuckles, his voice laced with worry, wavering and hurtful.

“I just want to help you improve as fast as possible. The test is coming in two weeks isn't it?”

The whole table has turned, and people start to say how considerate and thoughtful the cavalry captain is. The crowd starts to criticize you and tell you to be more grateful and stop suspicious of his unconditional help. Oh, you wish he wasting it on you, many knights in this training ground would love getting advice and improvements from him.

Applause for our dear Calvary captain, smoothly seeking empathy from the crowd and turning the favour back to him. No wonder how fast he climbed up the rank.

Bantering and arguing with a person like him is meaningless, so you accept his offer and drag your sword toward his direction. Let finish this within 2 strikes.

Moving to the centre of the field, both of you face each other, his eyes scanning you sceptically. What is this man plotting again? Bowing, you finally give him a warning look before standing at your ready position. Kaeya holds his sword, analyzing your starting posture.

As soon as the whistle blows, you charge at the man, opening the spar with a direct hit. Kaeya quickly raises his word up to block the first blow, the sound of steel clashing loudly. He then forcefully diverts the sword to the left, a classic way to counter the strike.

Knowing your limited strength against him, you take a step back and swiftly angle the blade downward, aiming for a weak spot at his waist. This move would create a noticeable weakness on your right, and only the idiot doesn't use this as his advantage to disarm you.

You’re right, he uses the loophole you planned, successfully disarm you within 2 strikes. The sword slips from your hand clanging loudly behind as your foot slips and fall on the ground.

His sharp blade is just a few inches away from your neck. The calvary captain wears a solemn look, his cerulean eyes imbued with irritation. Seems like he figures out you purposefully planed to end the match in 2 strikes.

Quickly raising your hand in defeat, you shoot him a taunting grin. The referee declares Kaeya is the winner, and people start to clap and cheer loudly, but overall no one is surprised. As the match end, audiences start to disperse, return back to their tasks.

Kaeya put his sword away and offers you his hand. You stare idly at the gloved hand a moment before putting yours on. The man effortlessly pulls you up, your body flush against his. With Kaeya so close to you, your first reaction is to push the man away, but his firm grip says otherwise. He inches closer, dark blue locks brush your cheek, tall figure towering you intimidating.

“Why end it so early?” He leans down and whispers, your body tenses up visibly. “Surely, you could handle more than 2 strikes of mine.” The young man in blue hums, his voice sultry.

“ What are you saying? I haven’t touched the sword more than 3 years.” You remind him, hands pushing his chest away, trying to create some distance. The man doesn’t budge an inch.

“Your strikes doesn’t say so. The first strike was not bad.” Noticing your effort to push him away, Kaeya stands straight, heels dig into the ground. His lips curl up at the helplessness flashing in your eyes. He loves seeing you struggle, seeing how anxiety and desperation rising in your sparkling orbs. “I think you could at least have a decent fight with me.”

“ Quit spouting non-sense Kaeya, let me go. We are in public.” You let out an annoyed hiss, punching his toned chest. He still wears the uniform improperly like that, the exposed tan chest can be under many layers. Sometimes you don't even know the reason why doesn't he just button the shirt up properly. Finger grazing at the bared skin on his chest, you turn your head away, cheeks heat up.

The man loves seeing you squirming in his trap, and you’re not going to let him see that. Anything, but satisfying his masochist hobby.

“You don’t like skin-ship?” The man fakes a gasp, his orb sparkles with mirth. “But you were being touchy with your friend. Why can't we be a bit touchy? ” His tone suggestively, the tall man snickers at your blushing mess. Out of everything, why would he mention that? You give him stinky eyes, brows furrow deeply.

“I’m not touchy with you.” You deny dreadfully. Archon, how long have you wasted your time here with this slithering serpent?

Kaeya arms wrap tightly around you, your body moulds perfectly into his embrace. You hate how perfectly you fit into his hug like this, but you can’t deny how warm he is, despite the fact he wields cryo.

“ When will you let me go?” Your voice starts to grow weak, dragging slightly in discomfort. Kaeya curiously looks down, noticing your pouting. Sensing his gaze, you turn your head away but his fingers have quickly grabbed your cheek, forcing you to look at his deep blue eye.

“Give me a kiss, then I'd let you go.” His voice serious, but what he just said is not. You look at the cryo wielder horrendously, mouth gaping. His face is composed and relax, like what he just ask is like asking about the weather, asking about your health, not for a kiss. Is he being serious? What in the world did he just ask? A kiss? Excuse me, a what?

“You...you are not being serious.” You wriggle your way out, escaping from his fingers, but his embrace tightens, caging you inside. Damn it, Kaeya. He’s messing with you.

When you flash him a furious look, the man shrugs nonchalantly, his cerulean lock fluttering gently in the wind. Suddenly, you have an urge to wipe off that calm demeanour. He can’t be serious. Why does he have to go all the way to annoy the shit out of you?

The smug grin hanging on his face, the mischief in his blue eyes, the arching brows, everything about him screams a flirt, yet you feel so mesmerized. Blinking a few times, you have to constantly remind yourself this man is not trustworthy. From the attitude to the way he looks at you, to the way he acts around you. Nothing from his action is truthful. Like Diluc’s warning, you can only believe half of his word and action.

“ Of course I’m being serious.” His voice solemn, but you can see the amusement in his eyes. If he doesn’t like you, why would he spend so much effort bothering you this much? What reaction is he expecting from you?

“ I really like you, Y/N” Kaeya confesses cheerfully, and you can faintly hear a few gasps around. Not this again...

Archon, you’re going to die early at this rate. You just want to practice for the upcoming evaluation, not becoming a hot topic for all Mondstadt citizen to gossip about.

And this man too, how can he easily slip out those words when you just heard him flirting with another woman the other day? You already told him numerous times that you’re not interested in dating him, or anyone right now!

Hung your head down in exhaustion, you tap his shoulder, mumbling quietly. “ Fine, fine.” You finally open your mouth, too exhausted and bothered by his stubbornness. He only wants a kiss, and you won’t hurt giving him one. Just a kiss then you can get back to your practice.

“Just don’t confess your love to me in a crowd like this again.” Before closing the deal, you weakly add a bargain, nudging him.

The calvary captain looks surprised, his eye widens little, not expecting you to agree. Normally, it takes another argument or two before you comply with his request. Kaeya timidly raises his gloved hand to your face, gently caresses your cheek. This time, you lean into his touch, nuzzling your face into his palm, eyes glimmering softly. Despite a cryo wielder, his hand is surprisingly warm.

The man in blue curiously peeks at you, he feels like a feather tickling the itchy spot. Are you plotting an escape route? Since when did you become so obedient? He has never seen the soft fur under the spiky façade you set up to face with the world, but strangely, he likes this version of you more.

Noticing his relaxed stance, you carefully gently wrap your fingers around his wrist while keeping eye contact with him. Kaeya eye widens, startles at your sudden touching. Trying your best to not break the unspoken connection, you bring his hand away from your cheek. In those cerulean eyes, you see a hint of disappointment, but it quickly dissolves. Slowly, you draw closer toward the hand hanging in the air, lips fluttering on the smooth skin on his wrist.

The calvary captain instinctively moves back, trying to escape from your sudden contact. Ironic, he is the one who innates the hug and demands a kiss from you. Tightening your grip, you press your wet lips on the exposed part of his wrist dedicatedly while maintaining eye contact with him, eyes drown with submission.

Kaeya stares at you in awe, maybe not expecting the passionate look in your eyes. His azure eye fills with mischief, now replaces with confusion and hesitation. You notice how his ears have dusted with pink despite the winds blowing in the practice ground. The man avoids your eyes, flustering.

Whispers and gasps start to remind you of the crushing reality, so you let his hand down while grinning cheekily at the cryo wielder. Poking and breaking Kaeya meticulously façade is always something you want to try. The man is a living devil, so it’s extremely unusual to see him losing his composure.

Sneakily, you untangle his other arm wrapping around your waist, plotting an escape route.

However, Barbatos doesn’t let you slip away that easily. Quickly regaining his composure, Kaeya snakes his hand around your hip again, tightening his hold. Unlike the first time, the sneaky bastard lifts you up and has the audacity to throw your body on his shoulder, carry you like a sack.

“ Yah! What are you doing?” You exclaim, fluster at his sudden antic. Kicking and punching on his shoulder, you try as many as you can, but somehow, Kaeya manages to dodge all of them.

“ You said you will let me go when I give you a kiss!” The crowd uproars, stares and gossips poke pointedly at your back. You don’t want to hear those comments from those knights again. They're not going to let this live down, aren't they? Bury your face in the Kaeya's furry collar, you let out a frustrating sigh, punching his shoulder as hard as you can.

“ You give me a kiss on my wrist. That doesn’t count.” Kaeya nonchalantly strides away from the practice ground, unfazed by your attempt to escape. This man is a beast, how can he not budge an inch with all of your kickings on his shoulder?

“ You didn’t specify the place. A kiss is a kiss!” You emphasize, and you can feel his shoulder shaking. Is he laughing? “You didn’t keep your promise.” Fuels by the rising anger, you kick your leg aggressively, struggling to free yourself from the iron-clad grip. This time, his strong arm wraps around your calves like a chain.

As soon as you raise your head up, the familiar pathway hits your memories. Shit, he is heading toward the headquarter, likely to his office. You can’t let anyone in there see you in this state. Punching his back profusely, you shot back.

“Not fulfilling the contract is breaking the Knight of Favonius's code of cond-.” Before you can finish your sentence, the man smacks your calves loudly, successfully shutting your mouth. Speechless by his sudden punishment, you let out a disbelief breath.

“ There are no such a section states about fulfilling contract inside the code of conduct, so stop making the rule up.” Kaeya smugly grins, and you can already picture his blue eyes glinting with mischief, the signature shit-eating grin on his handsome face.

" There is, it's in section eight-" Before you can finish your sentence, Kaeya cuts in, waving his hand dismissively.

" Section eight is about interaction with your co-worker, there is none about keeping contracts." The calvary captain humming, trying to recalling the content of the book. Speechless by the detailed memories of his, you can only close your mouth, quietly waiting for him to drop you down. If you stay still on his shoulder, will he let you go?

" You know, not everyone reads and memories the knight of Favonius handbook, you are just unlucky that I know the book by heart." Seeing you deflate weakly on his shoulder, Kaeya lets out a chuckle, patting your head comforting.

Before heading inside the HQ, the man doesn't drop your down but leans in closely, his whisper tickling your ear. “But at least I had fun seeing you squirming in my grasp.”

And then it hits you, the bastard purposely falls for of your antic.

So after telling you that Diluc asks that you go to Dawn Winery, and telling Diluc that you’ll be visiting, they now sit and wait, hoping that one of y’all confess

You arrived at Dawn Winery, after Kaeya told you Diluc had asked to meet here. But you’ve been here for 15 minutes and Diluc hasn’t arrived, maybe he was late. Or Kaeya just wanted to mess with you that piece of sh- . Pushing those thoughts away, you pick up your bag, only to be stopped by a hand on your wrist. “AHH-” You pick up your bag and almost hit…oh it was Diluc, who was about to stop you. “Sorry, I was late…” He apologized and you both sat down on the bench.

Kaeya and Venti sigh, both of them still waiting for one of you to say those God forsaken 3 words- Maybe they should do something, both of you were confused on what the other’s reason was to come there. Venti sends a gust of wind towards both of you, making your hat and belongings fly away. You and Diluc hurriedly run after them, and then Venti, being the little piece of sh-t he is, send another blow of wind, making you trip over each other(just like a wattpad scene istg venti-)

You fumble over each other, both looking like tomatoes. After Diluc helps you get up, he remembers that your belongings are still somewhere out there, so he proposes that you stay and wait, in which you replied that you wanted to help. He sighed, but a little bit more time with you wouldn’t be that bad, no? He takes your hand (😳) and walks toward the vineyard, where the wind supposedly took it.

It’s time, he says to himself. Maybe he should tell you. It is getting quite annoying seeing Kaeya flirt with you, and you laughing at his (sh-tty) jokes. But before he could even say anything to tug at him, wait has he been holding your hand this entire time? You gesture over to the lake, you see your belongings there.

The sun was setting, perfect for what he was about to say. But after getting your belongings, before he could say anything you start to speak up. “Diluc, I have something to say.” you told him, picking up your hat and dusting it off. “...Yes?” he replied, the tension suddenly becoming more and more aware to Diluc. “IREALLYLIKEYOUBUTIMSCAREDIFYOUDONTLIKEMEBACKCANWESTAYFRIENDSPLSLPSLSPLSPSLPS-'' You suddenly burst out, poor Diluc’s left confused and probably scared you might take eminem's job /j, but one thing clicked in his mind.

You liked him. You really really did. He takes your hands in his and pulls you in close, “Y/N…me too.”

Honestly, he had bad intentions when you both first met.

Kaeya Alberich does not let himself get near, no, no, no.

He thought you were cute, the new captain of the knights, maybe he’d let you stay, not for long though.

Sometimes he flirts with you, saying how you look good and inviting you for a drink.

Some days, he leaves you. No warnings or words. He just straight up ignores you.

It hurts you, and…maybe him too. (he’d rather die than tell you though)

One day, you just decided that Kaeya’s just leading you on, and so you start ignoring him.

Kaeya still does try flirting, but instead of a blush or a laugh, you just say thank you and walk away.

Oh no you’re leaving him, are you? (ofc we are mf youve been sh-t to us!!!🤬)

He thinks he’s done his job, now he can’t get attached to you, now that you’re gone…right?

Oh no, he didn’t quite realize he f-cked up.

He walked into your office to tell you Jean has been calling for you.

Only to walk into you burying your head into your hands, small sobs coming out of you.

He doesn’t know what to do, frankly this was probably his fault.

Putting on his best smile, he approaches you.

You’re tired of being used, so you just decide to ignore him altogether. His games were never fun anyway…his jokes weren’t funny…he didn’t make your heart beat so fast it might rip out of your chest.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. You felt scared, and lonely. You put your head between your hands, small sobs start coming out. But suddenly, the door opens. You can’t do anything about it anymore, they’ll see you either way.

“Y/N…are you alright?” Ah, that voice. You (try to) wipe your face and whisper out a small yes. Why did Kaeya have to come again? It’ll make everything harder. “Why did you come here? The cavalry captain surely has duties to attend to.” You state, fixing the paperwork scattered across your table, a few tears wetting them, but you don't mind. “Well, Jean is asking you to come to her office, but before that, why was Captain Y/N crying?” he joked, trying to lighten the mood a little, which inevitably, did not work. “Just felt stressed, nothing to worry about. Jean said to meet, right? Give me a few minutes, I’ll meet up with her.” You replied, trying to fix your table to look presentable.

“I don’t think that’s nothing, y/n. You did seem a little down when I went here, did someone hurt you?” Kaeya spoke up, oh yes he knew he hurt you. He just doesn’t want to accept it, the thought of you crying already hurt him enough, but his pride, or rather fear, wouldn't let him admit it, even if it was happening in front of him.

“I did tell you it was nothing, captain." You strongly state. "Now if you will excuse me, I’ll be going to Jean now.” You walked out of your office, leaving Kaeya alone.

“...I’m sorry Y/N.” He whispered. Later that day, you thankfully hadn't seen Kaeya after the office thing, which was good. Hoping you wouldn't bump into him, you hurriedly ran to your office. You picked up the documents from Jean first, and were about to file them, until a familiar figure blocked you. Kaeya had a questioning look on his face, and one of his hands was on his hips, and the other, blocking your way. “Y/N. We need to talk.” He told you. “Meet me, my office. I have some things to discuss.”. “Oh, and what could that be?” You questioned back, you really wanted to get out of this situation. “I’ll tell you later. Just go to my office after you file the papers.” He seemed…angry, or scared even. Was that the word? You just said yes and dashed to your office, taking a deep breath.

Maybe he just wanted to invite you to a drink as usual? No, he wouldn’t ask you to go to his office. Was your performance dropping? Maybe, you had been distracted, but it wasn’t your fault he made you feel like that. Was it about the office situation? No, you had already told him you were ok, right?

You put the papers in their correct drawer, and you walked to Kaeya’s office. Oh dear, may the archons bless you, you whispered. You grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened the door.

No but like he’s really charismatic no wonder people fall for him

You’re part of the Fatui, one of his comrades.

You often get paired with him, which is why you know each other.

Both of you are on good terms, even with him being annoying, asking you to spar almost everyday

“Comrade, that was a great spar, you beat me this time! Next time, I promise I’ll win!”

“I don’t quite mind losing to you, in fact it helps me a lot, comrade!”

“Thanks for the help today, comrade!”

Though you may have gained an affection for him, you brush it off, saying he had that effect on everyone, it was no wonder the new recruits wanted to be under him.

And so you just accompany him to his missions, trying to erase the feeling from your mind.

Oh well, things don’t always go as planned.

One day, he invited you to another spar.

Sadly you got distracted.

“Comrade, is there something wrong? You seem out of place today.” Childe asked, throwing another blast of hydro at you, blocking a little too late.

Within a few minutes he’s got you pinned to the ground, you panic, pushing him off so that you’re on top, both hands beside his head.

You turn red,stand up and start running running, leaving the battle unfinished.

You ran away as fast as you could, with Childe trying to catch up.

You’ve been avoiding the topic for as long as possible. It was impossible to escape Childe, so you just escaped the topic instead. Which in turn made you look uninterested, making poor Childe confused.

Was he not interesting anymore? Did you somehow realize that he wasn’t worth it :( ? Poor Childe didn’t know what he was feeling, I mean if you got chucked into the abyss at 14 then got into the military after, I don’t think he knows much about liking someone and all. So he did try to win your attention back, but you seemed a little distant every time he talked to you. He kept on asking to spar, but you kept replying you weren’t in the mood. Were you about to leave him? Did he do something? Maybe you think he shouldn’t be with him, with his blood lust and his lust for battle. That’s alright, it's the reason why the others stay away.

So as a last-ditch attempt to get you to talk, he takes you on a mission, to Liyue. “Obtaining Rex Lapis’ Gnosis sounds hard…'' you muttered. Yes you have been to different missions, but most of them were either collecting debts, or finding people. Stealing a God’s gnosis? Now that sounds difficult. “No worries comrade, I’m by your side! We’ll be able to get it in no time, for now just get used to Liyue’s landscape and culture.” You head over to Wanmin’s, Childe said it was a pretty good restaurant and that he’ll meet you there. You changed into some casual clothes, hiding your vision in your bag. “Hello there! What would you like today? Newcomer, that's ok! Today’s special is Black-Back Perch Stew!” A blue haired girl appeared, seemingly the chef. “I’ll just take the special, thank you.” You replied, still waiting for Childe to meet with you. “Oh ok! Please wait for a while. Oh Mr. Zhongli, Good Morning! We have Springvale Boar on the menu today, would you like to try it instead of the salt and pepper tofu?” The girl asked a brown haired man who sat beside you, leaving a chair in between. “I’ll have both.” The man, called Zhongli answered.

“Y/N! You’re here!” Childe got the seat between you and the guy named Zhongli. “Ah, Childe, here to taste Xiangling’s new dish?” Zhongli asked, do they know each other? “Ah, sorry, but I’ll just be eating with y/n today! We do have somewhere to go.” Childe replied as Xiangling, the girl’s name placed the Black-Back Perch Stew. You got a pair of chopsticks and were about to use them, until you saw Childe desperately failing at using the utensils. “Pfft- Childe, you hold it like this.” Taking his hand, you showed him the way that chopsticks were used, to no avail, he just blatantly seemed to fail at every step. The day Childe masters the chopsticks, is the day he can finally hit a bullseye, you thought, which is to say, never. It was fun though, you haven’t talked to him like that in a while.

You and Childe return to your rooms, hoping to get some rest before you set out to obtain the gnosis. Childe says he'll sleep with you(not what you think😡) but first he has a...debt to handle.

The next few weeks were spent finding, planning, and basically hunting down anyone who knew about the gnosis. Childe had gone with the traveller while you stayed in Liyue to investigate.

It had seemed alright, until you got the news that Childe started a duel between him and the traveler in the Golden House, so you ran, ran as fast as you could to stop him, but it was too late.

“...Your strength is praiseworthy.” You could only watch in horror as Childe continued on. “I too shall use all of mine.” Childe walked towards the traveller. “So don’t you dare disappoint me, Foul Legacy- Devouring Deep!” Childe transformed, using his delusion, attacked the traveller.

Childe used his delusion, sending strikes of hydro and electro towards the traveller. He gets blocked and hit, leaving him stunned.

“As such, we must now look to our back-up plan.” Childe states. He wasn’t serious about this, right? The backup was only when you had no more choice, you both still had one, right? The small fairy asked, “Backup plan?”. “I will awaken the God that lies dormant beneath Guyun Stone Forest.” The fairy shrieked, “A God?!”. “Osial, Overlord of The Vortex, who was defeated by Morax, the Geo Archon in the Archon War. And who has remained pinned beneath the waves by the Geo Archon's stone spears ever since.” Childe starts summoning the Sigils of Permission, the ones you were researching and duplicating. Soon Childe summons all of them, and awakens the Overlord of the Vortex. The Traveller and the Adepti sought to stop Osial from destroying Liyue, meanwhile you tried to find Childe in the midst of chaos, but the storm was too strong and sent flying debris all over the place, unfortunately hitting you before you could escape. Hushed cries and “Please don’t leave me”’s were the last things you heard before you fell unconscious.

⋆ his only worry is how your cat and his bird will get along, but they don’t seem to mind one another

⋆ he starts off by stating your cat is your responsibility; he doesn’t care if you let it wander free in the manor—or even around the winery—but you’re the one who needs to take care of it

⋆ diluc wouldn’t really consider himself a cat person, but he does care about animals and thus treats them kindly

⋆ the “not a cat person” thing is something that changes pretty quickly

⋆ he’s not all over the cat, not like you are, but diluc finds he enjoys having the little thing around. he’s not entirely sure why, but it probably has something to do with how the cat reminds him of you

⋆ and besides, it proves to be a fairly skilled mouser, warding pests away from the winery and making his job easier

⋆ diluc finds himself stopping to pet the cat or give it scratches under the chin more often, each time with a small smile on his face. he also finds he no longer minds when it jumps into his lap and falls asleep whenever he’s working in his office by the fire

⋆ he never comments on his change in attitude toward the cat, but you notice anyway. the first time you saw the winery master sneak table scraps to your little furball, you were too stunned to reprimand him

⋆ diluc also won’t admit how comforting your cat can be when you’re gone, especially if you go on a trip for a few days

⋆ give him enough time, and eventually he’ll start pampering the feline just as much as you do. sometimes you’ll come home and find several new cat toys scattered around the manor

⋆ diluc would never admit how much he ends up caring about your impulse-adopt cat, but he can’t hide the way his eyes soften and he smiles when he returns home to the both of you.

⋆ you’ve never really seen the cavalry captain pay special attention to any animals, so you weren’t sure what to expect from him reaction-wise. you’re quite surprised when the first thing he does after seeing you with a cat cradled in your arms is drag you back outside to find the proper supplies

⋆ he says it’s something about responsibility; why take an animal in if you can’t properly care for it?

⋆ and so several hours later you return home with more pet supplies than you probably need—but kaeya is nothing if not a generous and caring man

⋆ he gets attached to your cat very easily, to the point where he becomes glad you brought the little thing home

⋆ he likes having a comforting presence that he knows won’t judge him; thus, he really enjoys talking to it when he’s alone—well, y’know, save for the cat. basically when you’re not around for whatever reason

⋆ despite this, he still likes to play dumb when you catch him doting on the animal

⋆ archons above do not try and tease him about it. not because kaeya will get flustered, but because he’ll take it as a challenge and find some way to turn the tables on you, even if it’s completely unrelated to your cat

⋆ your little friend likes to bat at the end of the long part of kaeya’s hair, and will also hide in or try to sleep on the fluffy part of his scarf. you’d think he’d be annoyed, but really he just finds it amusing

⋆ he accidentally lets it slip once at work that the two of you have a cat and now half of his coworkers won’t leave him alone. amber, lisa, and klee are the worst and he has to show them pictures of your cat to pacify them

⋆ the cat got out one night and when you came to him in hysterics kaeya dropped everything and went to find it—you swear he made record time in bringing it back

⋆ kaeya enjoys the little family you have together; just you, him, and your kitty friend.

⋆ listen, i think he actually really likes cats… he’s just severely allergic to him

⋆ he gets concerned when you approach him and start off with “don’t freak out, but” and then pull a cat out. and he of course ignores the part where you told him not to freak out

⋆ he’s absolutely not mad at you, it’s just that he has a performance tonight and he can’t be all stuffy or choked up or puffy-eyed and all the other things that happen when he has an allergic reaction to cats

⋆ you basically have to shout at him to get him to calm down long enough to tell him the cat’s hypoallergenic; he won’t have a bad reaction to it

⋆ now that you mention it, he does feel fine. at first he’s stunned that something like that even exists, but as soon as the initial shock wears off, he’s all over the cat, cooing and scratching behind its ears while it’s cradled in your arms

⋆ it’s funny how fast he switches up, really. venti almost ends up late to the performance he was freaking out about because he doesn’t want to stop paying attention to the animal

⋆ he agrees to let you keep it under one condition: it doesn’t steal his lyre strings or otherwise break his instrument

⋆ you work together to make sure that doesn’t happen, getting your new pet so many toys there’s no way it could possibly think about going after any of your belongings

⋆ right?

⋆ turns out that wasn’t enough. you get worried when venti can’t find his spare strings, and then even more worried when he finds them stashed away in your kitty’s bed, thankfully undamaged

⋆ you begin to think this is the end. you broke your one promise and now you’ll have to say goodbye to your furry friend

⋆ but the bard just breaks out laughing once the panic clears. come on, there’s no way he’d ever actually kick out an animal for stealing something replaceable, especially not when said animal belongs to you

⋆ he makes sure to find a better hiding spot this time

⋆ you’ve caught venti practicing songs and using your cat as his audience, much to the creature’s dismay ⋆ he’s also probably written a song about your cat. that seems like something he’d do, because venti seems like the type of person to brag about being a cat dad.

⋆ he’s a lot like diluc, in that he doesn’t care if you bring an animal home so long as you’re willing to take care of it

⋆ zhongli is more optimistic about it, but he’s a busy man who’s already terrible with mora; he doesn’t exactly need another responsibility on his plate

⋆ i feel like despite your best efforts to become the cat’s favorite, it’s really drawn to zhongli for reasons neither of you can explain

⋆ if he’s home, it’s likely your cat is in his lap, or weaving around his legs. although confused, the only thing he has to complain about is the cat hair—and maybe the way your little furball bats at his earring whenever its in a playful mood

⋆ but again like diluc, zhongli enjoys the cat’s company because it reminds him of you

⋆ he’ll greet the cat in the morning, and stop to pet it during the day, and will bid it goodnight when it curls up in bed with you two

⋆ you find it very endearing, if not slightly humorous to watch such a tall, regal man have to lean down so much just to pet a cat

⋆ despite the cat mostly being your responsibility, zhongli does help out a lot. if you’re in a rush, he’s always willing to feed or brush it, or he’ll go find a new collar and tags if they begin to look worn down

⋆ his indifferent façade can’t hide the fact that he really does care for the little animal, and he does admit seeing the creature run around the house brings a smile to his face

⋆ you once saw him leave for work without his jacket but had no time to question it; turns out he had laid it down on his office chair the night before and found your cat curled up on it this morning. he didn’t have the heart to make it move

⋆ also you swear once you heard the man purring back at your cat. if you ever try to ask, though, he denies it ever happened

⋆ although you certainly enjoy watching how he interacts with your cat, zhongli thinks nothing makes him happier than seeing how your face lights up around the little animal.

Diluc

What? Diluc has a roommate? Did you blackmail him in living with you? Is that even possible? Did you throw yourself in front of his car because you needed someone to pay for your student loans and the easiest way was to file a lawsuit? In this economy no one would blame you. Diluc seems like such the self-isolated character that would murder his roommate in cold blood but in reality, he act’s detached from the world because he forgot how to socialize and he’s desperately trying to cover it up without choking. That or he’s trying to learn how to astral project. If he could drink away the pain he would but instead he buys 20 packs of grape Kool-Aid and injects it into his veins.

Does not and will not ever have a normal sleeping schedule. You’ll wake up to him working, come back home to him working, and will sleep to him still working. His daily dose of Vitamin D is from the brightness of his screen rather than the sun and he’s filter feeding at this point. It’s concerning. He’s going to crumble and he’s bringing the world down with him. Through the power of tax evasion. But as soon as he needs to walk out into society, he pulls movie magic and looks like perfection. It’s both physically and mentally disgusting.

He’s actually is a really nice roommate to have just so long as you give him space. Great cook and knows to clean up after himself. Though he does have crash and burn days where’s he’s completely out of commission. You could set the entire apartment on fire and he would sleep through it. The entire two weeks are dedicated to zombie eye marathons and then he’ll suddenly collapse and sleep for 46 hours straight. When he wakes up from his hibernation he’s the most groggy and nonsensical person. His life blood is coffee because you keep hiding the 5 hour energy away from him because, you know, life is enjoyable and those cancer bottles will actually kill him.

“University sucks our money out of our bodies faster than our will to live.”

Beidou [Happy Birthday Queen 💕]

Despite her appearance, she’s actually really strong and it scares the piss out of you when you’re doing something or scrolling through your phone mindlessly and you suddenly get your spine re-arranged when she slaps you on the back to ask what you’re doing. Likewise, when she hoists you up and throws you over her shoulder so you come with her on her 3am convivence store raids for alcohol. It’s either you change now or else we’re walking out of the apartment in your t-shirt and no pants self. She can and will carry you under her arm that way. It’s both incredibly attractive and horrifying at the same time.

She’s really friendly and a great talker if you’re alright with her “I must hold you in my arms, fresh prince of bel air style”. It doesn’t matter if you’re taller than her, she’s doing it. She does however, get in a bit of trouble from her rowdiness and you often get noise complaints but Beidou just passes them off to Ningguang and everything is fixed. She has ovaries of steel when neighbors rather confront her personally and she’s ready to 1v1 in the parking lot. You’re trying to desperately hold onto her shirt to stop her from pile driving your neighbors for the third time this week but she’s too strong.

She’s constant party until we die attitude and suffers the hangover in the morning. It’s actually really funny to catch her in her hangover moods because whatever filter Beidou had, which is none, is gone. She really takes “cursing like a sailor” or the next level and the amount of creativity she comes up with is actually impressive. She can be a bit messy but she’s really likeable and always down to go anywhere with you as long as you’ll do the same. It’s a very ride together, we die together situation. You’re my best friend, you’re dying with me. I’ll see you in hell.

Kaeya

Kaeya on the surface seems like such a chill roommate. And he is for the most part. But he’s such an ass. Your things are his things, no questions asked. If you just bought a really nice sweater or you had leftover food, that’s his now. He’s innocent until proven guilty even if he’s literally holding your lunch. The pure amount of bullshit he can spit out to convince you that no, he did not pull the fire alarm because he wanted an excuse for not going to work, puts him on Shakespeare level. He’s also very pretty, way too pretty, sir can you share some of your genes?

But aside from that, he’s actually super dependable. You forgot something at home? Sure, he has nothing better to do so he can bring them for you. We’re missing eggs? No problem, he’s just by the store. You’re 95% sure that he just wants to be cheeky and make you thank him for 20 minutes before he actually hands you what you asked for. It’s better for you if you never tell him anything you’re afraid of because Kaeya has no social cues, or more like he throws them out the window, and he’s probably a psychopath.

He’s incredibly private of his room and things despite his attitude towards yours. You’re convinced he either has a secret lab or that’s where he’s storing the bodies. I was the good guy but due to unfortunate circumstances, I need to stab a bitch. But he’s a really good serious talker for those 3am, because everything happens at 3am, talks about life and the meaning of the universe. It absolutely wrecks your sleep schedule but some of the things you talk about are the most crackhead things like what’s the lowest amount of money someone would have to pay you to walk outside without clothes? It’s a legitimate question.

Jean

Okay, what world did you save in a past life to live with his absolutely wonderful woman? Mother Teresa take a load off, take a seat. You have nothing to worry about. She’ll bring home little treats back home and it’s the most wholesome thing ever?? Is this what love and affection feels like? We’ve been starved for so long. She says it’s not a big deal and anyone would do it BUT THE MOMENT SOMEONE BUYS FOOD FOR YOU. IT’S A MAGICAL MOMENT. They are forever stuck in your will until proven otherwise. An absolute ray of sunshine that must be protected.

She does get super busy so you don’t often see each other or get to hang out as much. She’s a bit of a workaholic but a lot more easier to talk her into taking a break. She’s also a pretty decent cook but she prefers baking and jesus christ, girl can you calm down? Be still my beating heart, I’ve been smitten. Has mother hen vibes that you’re not sure if she’s your roommate or if she adopted you into her family. It’s time to start a petition for the Jean protection squad. Given the opportunity, I would aggressively hold your hand.

She’s always open to whatever you want to do. Any recommendations or things that you like she will try out at least once despite her busy schedule. She’s lowkey lonely because work consumes her so any time you want to hang out or do something together, she jumps on it like she’s feral. She get’s a bit shy to ask if she can join in on your plans because she doesn’t want to bother you or intrude no matter how many times you tell her that’s okay, she still get’s a bit iffy about it. Please save this girl before she trips. In your arms. Platonically. Just kidding haha. Unless?

“I can’t wait to see you happy and not hating everyone again haha.”

Childe

First impressions of Childe were great, until he opened his mouth and you realized how much of a two brain cell child(e) he was. He has two braincells because they constantly have to 1v1 in his brain. He’s lived with a lot of siblings so he has no social awareness or concept of privacy that you’re lucky if you come home and he’s half-dressed. It doesn’t matter if you’re 2 weeks older than him, he’s going to call you 82 years old and why your bones aren’t being fossilized at this point. He’s such a little shit, this fucker licks the yogurt lid peel.

He get’s really restless when he’s stuck under house arrest, because apparently 1v1ing in the parking lot of a Wendy’s is illegal for some reason, so he makes dying whale noises until he get’s to go outside again. But he’s actually a really wholesome guy, probably because of his younger siblings, that he’ll sometimes get you something because you seemed down and it’s such whiplash? Who is this man and where did he come from? You’re starting to have a change of heart before he tells you that he got banned from the library for accidently punching the school’s computer. How you “accidently” punch something you have no idea but Childe always comes home with some sort of injury. Maybe he’s just incredibly clumsy. For your sanity, you’re going to go with that.

He’s actually so uncultured that it’s crippling. You can’t blame him too much considering his upbringing and it’s great that he’s so interested in learning new things but...child no...It makes you want to take your spine out of your ass and rip it like a Beyblade. Watching him take chopsticks and stab his food like it’s marshmallows makes you want to fall into a blackhole and let the chair consume you.

Is this another tag yourself game cause I resonate with Diluc. I’m crying in insomnia. As much as I enjoy writing these fics I absolutely hate tagging them. I remember I used to have a tag anon but that was back when I wrote for bnha.

Valentine’s Day was fun tho. I had a drinking game with friends as we played league then ended it off with a movie night.
