The best way to start the weekend was to cry
... but it was a good cry. You know why? You know damn WELL why.
Because Jay finally dropped The Underworld Sa-GAH!
I had the chance to finally listen to these three emotional and beautifully written songs yesterday, and boy oh boy, I did not expect to tear up immediately on the first song. Listened to it again at work with headphones on, and I cried like I lost my mother (she's alive and well). It hurts so much! Oh my god, Jay!!!
Jorge has such a wonderful and emotionally connected mind when it comes to his music because he knows how to tug the heartstrings of his listeners. The song The Underworld sounded like it was written, produced, recorded, and released with such care. I knew he wasn't joking when he said that this saga would be a pivotal moment in the whole musical, and yes, I really believe that the "Boss" of this saga was Odysseus himself.
As you are reading this right now, I'm sure you're having a better understanding that my favorite song of this saga is The Underworld lol. I love, love, LOVE how Polites and Anticlea's voices just melted into their own melodies. I love how they made their voices to just float above the main melody which was Odysseus'. I just love!!! Jay's mind!!
On to the other songs, I love Mason Olshavksy as Tiresias. His voice is really smooth, emotional, and wonderful. I love hearing him sing No Longer You, and he and Jay have the same tone of voice in the song. It's beautiful!! In the song Monster, I really enjoyed how Odysseus' mind began to spiral because of the prophecy they got. I love how he resolves to the idea that "if I need to be ruthless for all of us to get home, then so be it". I love how Jay wrote this song!!!
I'm assuming everyone in the Epic fandom has listened to the new saga, and everyone also went on this emotional rollercoaster with Ody.
Welp, Imma give this saga another listen before I sleep for the day.
Full Speed Ahead, my peep!

Bombshell reader is my queen. What would happen if she like got hold hostage or something? She’s usually so confident, I’m sure going thru that would rough her up. Would Spencer take up the more ‘active’ role and take care of her
tysm for requesting ♡ fem, 1k
Spencer doesn't know if you're aiming for him when you come out but he grabs you as soon as he can get his hands on you. You were running hard enough to wind him, breathless yourself as you gasp into his shoulder. He can't feel you right wearing the FBI vest, desperate to take it off.
You won't let him go.
It must've been bad inside to panic you like this. "Are you okay?" he asks, forcing you away to check you over. "Do you need medical?" He's mildly hysterical.
"No," you say, eyes closed, shaking your head until he lets you back into his arms. "I'm fine."
"You don't sound fine–"
"Spencer, I'm fine."
Spencer can't remember the last time you called him Spencer. He's used to Spence, babe, baby, handsome. He's even used to your hand on his elbow to say hello without speaking. So no matter what you say, he knows you're not fine.
Spencer leads you over to the back of an ambulance, where you glare at him. You've definitely never done that before.
"I don't need medical–"
"You have to get checked out." He's definitely never spoken to you like that. Terse, his hands on your arms to stop you from getting up. "Non-negotiable."
Your eyes shine with betrayal while the EMTs check your vitals. You have a bruise like whiplash against your neck that's tender to the touch, wincing as they prod it with their white gloved fingers. You're acting peculiarly but not outside of the realm of reasonable.
A car backfires somewhere in the street and you flinch. "Spence," you say, looking up at him through your lashes, "can we go?"
He waits for a nod. "Yeah, we can go."
The issue is that you can't stand. You push up, you blink, and you sit down hard again, making a small pained sound from the back of your throat that Spencer cant abide by. "What's wrong with her?" he asks.
"Adrenaline." The EMT squeezes your shoulder affectionately. "You're alright, hun. You can sit here until you feel ready."
She and her partner take a break in the front of the ambulance and tell you to shout if you need help. Spencer hesitates for a few seconds, looking down at you with a quick assessment of behaviour. He finds the things that are wrong with you —shaking hands, painful contusion against your throat, obvious emotional distress, weak legs— and he runs through options on how he's going to help you.
Spencer takes your hands into his, just a little smaller, less skinny, and way softer. He doesn't know whether he can truly smell your hand cream or if he knows the scent from the hundreds of times watching your routine. You take it from the pocket in your purse, squeeze the smallest bit from the tub, and rub it in slow circles around your palms. It calms you in your rare wounded moments, and Spencer imitates that now. He draws gentle circles into your skin, the tremble ever so slightly quelled.
"Is it bad?" he asks you, transferring both of your hands into one. Freed, he trails the knuckles of his left hand parallel to your wicked bruise.
"It hurts." Your eyes are glassy, your lips in a downturn that turns his heart. "Hurt my ego."
"He got a cheap shot," Spencer says sympathetically, dipping forward to kiss your jaw just above the bruise. You go still. He worries it was the wrong thing to do, but you crane your head forward into his chest.
Your tired sigh is like a rake.
"It's okay. It's okay." He takes your hand again. "We'll ice it at the hotel. With arnica, it'll be gone in a week."
"I was really scared," you murmur.
Sitting as you are in the back of the ambulance, he doesn't have to bend much to press your joined hands to his chest. Eyes shut, that close to one another, Spencer swears he can hear your rapid heart.
"But you made it out. You're always going to make it out, because we have a great team and you're good at what you do. You're strong. Smart. And you're brave, because you got scared and you kept going anyway. You saved someone just now."
You push him away without malice, your perfect eyebrows pinched up at the starts. "I thought maybe this time I wouldn't make it out. Not like me, huh?"
Spencer sits next to you in the ambulance, sliding his fingers into yours with more confidence than he feels. "That's easily explainable. Do you know what working memory is?"
Your stress melds fond. "No."
"Working memory is one of the brain's systems necessary for thought and function. It's important for everything. And when you're under immense pressure, the strength of your working memory depletes– being in a high stakes situation like that, it's natural to choke. It doesn't mean you underperformed. It doesn't mean you let anyone down."
"I never said I let someone down."
"I worried you were thinking about it."
"I was." Your glassy eyes have clarified. Spencer lets out a breath of relief as you raise your hand to his cheek, stroking it briefly with the back of your fingers. "I'm glad you think that, but I doubt Hotch will say the same thing."
"Hotch will tell you well done and make you take mandatory leave for a week. We should regroup with the others." Spencer nudges you in the arm. "I'll write your paperwork if you tell me what to say."
You drop your face into his shoulder. "I'm recovering from a traumatic event. Can't you do the muscle work?"
"Y/N!" Hotch calls, a phone glued to his ear. "Well done. Nothing else tonight." You smile. "You can do the paperwork when you get back next week."
"Ugh."
"Told you. Well done, mandatory leave," Spencer says.
"Excessive," you mutter into his arm. It takes you a few seconds to warm up, and when you do it's like groundhog day, sunshine filtering through the chill, "Thanks, handsome. For everything."

MC: I understand that I will never be enough for you.
MC: And that you will never be mine.
The female lead: W-Why are you saying this?
MC: *gives her a sincere smile*
MC: Because I love you and I'm tired.
The director: And... CUT!
Vil: ...
The staff: *holding back their tears*
The director: ...
The director: MC, can you come here for a second?
MC: *approaches her* Yes, miss?
The director: *stares at them in the eyes before speaking*
The director: That was so good. The way you deliver the lines.
The director: Look at our scriptwriter here, she's crying buckets now.
The scriptwriter: *sniffles* Please don't mind me.
MC: ...
MC: *smiles* *bows respectfully at them* I'm glad you are satisfied with my acting skills.
The director: Well, that's for our trailer! Let's all pack up now!
MC: *thanking the staff and the female lead*
MC: *then walks up to Vil*
Vil: ...
Vil: You did well. I cried myself while watching you.
MC: It doesn't look like you shed a single tear to me.
Vil: My makeup is expensive.
MC: Isn't it waterproof?
Vil: Still, I would rather not ruin it.
Vil and MC: *have arrived back to their suite*
Vil: My schedule is free today.
MC: Should we proceed with our toast that got postponed?
Vil: Rather than that, I'd like to focus on getting some beauty rest. Can you help me with that?
MC: Of course. I'm going to prepare everything you need first.
Vil: Thank you.
Vil: *is soaking in a bath with lavender and chamomile flowers*
MC: *gently combing his hair*
Vil: ...
Vil: Soon, you will not be doing this anymore.
MC: Huh?
Vil: ...
MC: Vil?
Vil: It's nothing.
MC: ...
MC: *smiles* If you say so.
Neige: The receptionist lady was so nice. She gave us the spare key for their suite.
Che'nya: I think it's because you're the Neige LeBlanche nya~.
Neige: I don't think my popularity has anything to do with this. *giggles*
Che'nya: Oh! Here we are!
Neige: Should we knock first?
Che'nya: Nah~. Let's just open it.
Neige: Okay.
MC: *helps Vil get out of the bath by holding his hand* *their eyes closed*
Vil: My robe.
MC: Here. *hands it to him*
Vil: ...
Vil: MC.
MC: Yes?
Vil: ...
Vil: *leans in and kisses their cheek*
MC: !!!
Vil: *then pulls and hugs them*
MC: Vil—
Vil: I'm proud of you.
MC: ...
Vil: ...
MC: *smiles as they hug him back* Vil, we need to start with your skin care routine.
Vil: Yes. I need to moisturize asap.
MC: *chuckles*
Neige and Che'nya: ...
MC and Vil: ...
MC: *in the middle of helping Vil to get dressed*
Vil: *the first to react* Neige? Che'nya?
Neige: *nervous laugh* Hello, Vil. *waves his hand at him*
Che'nya: ...
MC: ...
MC: *looks sternly at the both of them*
Che'nya: ...
Che'nya: This was Neige's idea. *pointing at Neige*
Neige: Eh?
MC: ...
MC: Che'nya, we'll talk after I'm done here.
Vil: Well then, I'll start lecturing Neige.
Neige and Che'nya: *sad puppy eyes*

"I Have Something To Tell You."
Part I Part II Part III
Featuring: Gender-Neutral Reader, Yandere Genshn Impact, non religious SAGAU, Yandere Fatui Harbingers
Word count: 4k
Includes: Portrayal of mental illness, suicide, brief mention of experimentation, Scaramouche gets a new name, he's also really annoying, solving problems with violence
Synopsis: After killing yourself and landing in the world of Genshin Impact, you reflect on all that has gone wrong.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
Two weeks.
You have two weeks before Dottore’s experiments start (you suppose even his apparent fondness for you has its limits), two weeks to make a case for yourself and prove to Scaramouche that you're worth saving.
“What about him? I don't have time for idle chatter, you know. Spit it out.”
You take a deep, shuddering breath. You hope this goes well.
“Well…”
Every second seems to stretch on for a millennium. The silence is deafening, though you can feel your heart beating so rapidly you're surprised you can't hear it.
“...And this information is reliable?” He says at last. You nod. Contrary to your expectations, Scaramouche simply sighs, leaning back in his chair. “I assume you have a reason for telling me this now of all times. What do you want?”
“Freedom,” you say. He quirks his eyebrow, so you continue. “This place is suffocating. Let's run away together. To Sumeru.”
“Together?” There's an unreadable expression on his face, but you’re far too focused on convincing him to pay it any mind.
“Yes. Unless you want to stay here, even after learning the truth?”
“No.” He shakes his head, closing his eyes as if in contemplation. “Alright. Pack your bags. We'll leave tomorrow at dawn.”
“Tomorrow?!”
“Is that a problem?” You stare at him with wide eyes. “Close your mouth,” he says. You do.
“Don't we need time to prepare? A plan? Something? Anything?”
“What, you don't trust me?” He mocks. “It's fine. I'm sure you'll figure something out.” Your jaw drops to the floor. “Figure it out”? Is he insane? And he's leaving it all up to you? You gawk at him, but he merely shoos you away from his chambers.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
True to his word, Scaramouche (you suppose his name will be changing soon) picks you up at dawn. You brought nothing but the clothes on your back, some mora, and some jewelry that looked expensive. It’s precisely 4:44 AM when you both exit the palace, careful not to be seen by any guards or servants. You stifle a yawn, having been up all night concocting a plan for the escape.
Think, brain, think.
You have to come up with an executable plan by tonight. You can't think straight. Even writing your own suicide note didn't take this much brainpower.
Wait…that's it.
Hurriedly, you grab a pen and paper from your writing desk and get to work. Through writing, you explain that you and Scaramouche have become star-crossed lovers. You know the other Harbingers would not accept your union, and so you've left the palace together to act out a suicide pact. Don’t bother looking for your bodies, you said, as you'd be throwing yourselves into the ocean. Carefully, you seal the envelope and place it under your pillow. Scaramouche said he’d handle getting you out of the palace, so you don’t have to worry on that end, but getting caught after the fact still falls on you to figure out.
Luckily, you already have an idea or two.
Just like in your letter, the two of you head to the ocean first. It’s still early, so many boats are left unmanned in the docks. Stealing a simple paddle boat is easy enough, but it dawns on you that you have no idea how to get to Sumeru.
“What is it?” Scaramouche asks, seeming to sense your hesitance.
“I…don’t actually know how to get to Sumeru from here.” Scaramouche rolls his eyes.
“Seriously? Is that head of yours just for show?”
“Hey! At least I have a plan. You just dumped this whole thing on me!”
“It was your idea,” he retorts. You groan.
“Whatever. Let’s just go in one direction until we hit land, I guess. We’ll figure the rest out from there.” With that, you and Scaramouche work together in silence to untie a boat from its tether and board it. It only takes about an hour of rowing before your arms begin to ache, but you push through the pain, too prideful to ask Scaramouche to take over. By your third hour, your arms feel like they’re about to fall off, and your rowing has slowed significantly. Wordlessly, Scaramouche takes the ores from your weary hands and takes over the rowing. That’s strange…why didn’t he tease you? Shouldn’t he have at least called you weak or useless?
“What?” He asks, voice gruff.
“Oh, it’s nothing,” you say, realizing you’d been staring. “Sorry.”
“Hmph.” He turns away with a huff. You might be imagining it, but you could have sworn his ears turned just the tiniest bit red.
Finally, the two of you reach shore. It looks…oddly familiar.
“Oh!” You say, clapping your hands together. Scaramouche jumps, but you pay him no mind (If you had paid attention, however, you would undoubtedly have noticed that jumping implies his guard was down—something that seems very out of character for someone like him). “I know where we are!”
“Where?” He asks, looking somewhat annoyed (though that could just be his face).
“The beach!” You say.
“...Seriously?” Realizing how silly that sounded, your face heats up.
“The beach,” you say. “The one from the tutorial.”
“The what?”
“Forget it. We’re in the east end of Mondstadt. I can take us to Sumeru from here.” The route is pretty straightforward, so you should have no trouble getting there. You lead the way, passing through the whispering woods, past Mondstadt city, Springvale, and then Dawn Winery. After about two hours of walking, you’ve already made it to Liyue.
“Tired yet?” Scaramouche asks.
“Not even a little,” you reply.
You walk from Stonegate to Dihua Marsh, then pass Wangshu Inn and the Guili Planes. Finally, you’ve reached Liyue Harbor, where you and Scaramouche stop to get food and rest.
“Do you think you’ll change your name?” You ask in between bites.
“Where’s that coming from?”
“I just figured you wouldn’t want to use Scaramouche anymore. Considering the whole Dottore situation and all. Plus,” you say, pausing to take a chew. “We’re on the run right now. A Harbinger’s name might draw attention.”
“Pick one for me, then.”
“How about ‘Hat Guy’?” You ask, stifling a laugh. He huffs.
“Forget it.”
“What about Kuni?”
“No.”
“Kuzushi?”
“No.”
“Kuku?”
“Are you even trying?”
“You insult me,” you say with a grin.”Well, if we’re going to Sumeru, maybe we should pick a Sumerian name? What do you think about Arasay?”
“That…isn’t terrible.”
“High praise.” You decide not to tell him that ‘Arasay’ is really just ‘Scara’ in pig Latin, missing a letter. “Actually, there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you. I…um, think I’m from the future?”
“What?”
“Uh, let me start over and walk you through my train of thought. So, in my world, the way I interact with this world is through a medium called a computer. This computer allows me to take limited control of the Traveler and his associates, make them stronger, stuff like that. Are you with me so far?”
“Yes. Are you going somewhere with this?”
“I just said I was walking you through my train of thought. Have some patience will you?” From Arasay’s smirk, you can tell he was only messing with you. “Ugh, you’re the worst. Anyway, the computer gives me insight on important events that happen to the traveler. The thing is, though, some of those events haven’t actually happened yet. Like, let me ask you this: what was the last major thing that the Traveler did?”
“He defeated Stormterror not long after you got here.”
“After I got here?”
“Is that a problem?”
“Yeah, actually. It’s a huge problem.” You bury your face in your hands, trying not to laugh at the sheer absurdity of your situation.
“Care to enlighten me?” Arasay asks, seeming annoyed (though, really, that seems to just be his default state).
“So, it’s- I- Ugh.” You let your head fall onto the table. Quickly, you raise your head and look up at your companion. “How do you know about me?”
“You possessed one of my colleagues.”
“Except I didn’t.” You lean in closer to him, nearly face-to-face.
“What do you mean?”
“Tartaglia hasn’t met the Traveler yet, and I didn’t take control over him until after he met the Traveler. So, let me ask you again: how do you know about me?”
“Agh!” Arasay grabs at his head, a pained expression on his face. You leap to your feet and rush over to his side, your hands floating mere inches from him, as if you’re worried he’ll shatter with the smallest touch. “My…my head!” He says, clutching his hair between his fists. He convulses, then slumps over.
“Arasay? Arasay!” You shake him, desperately trying to rouse him to no avail. “Arasay!” You cry.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
“Are you feeling better now?”
“Yes.” You breathe out a sigh of relief, nearly slumping over.
“That scared me,” you say. “Are you sure you’re okay now? You aren’t just saying it out of pride?”
“Your concern disgusts me,” he says, hiding his face behind his hat. You know he’s lying: the tips of his ears are pink. After composing himself, he lets go of his hat and faces you. “I-”
“Hey-”
You both look at each other. Arasay sighs. “You go first,” he says.
“I think you should ditch the hat.”
“What?”
“It draws too much attention. We don’t want rumors about the hat guy and his companion floating around so soon after we ran off, do we?” Arasay sighs again, louder this time.
“Fine,” he says taking his hat off and placing it to his side. “Happy?”
“You look naked.” He gives you the stink eye. “Sorry, sorry. You look fine. We’ll get you a new hat when we get to Sumeru. Maybe a less flashy one?”
“Whatever.”
“You had something you wanted to say, too, right?” He nods.
“I had a dream,” he starts, looking off in the distance. “It happened when I passed out. In it, I saw the timeline you described. I remembered meeting the Traveler, fighting him, joining him, getting my vision-” Arasay unclenches his fist, turning his hand over to reveal what you hadn’t noticed he’d been holding. A shiny blue vision, encased in a Sumerian sheath. “I remembered everything.”
You stare at him, mouth agape. “Interesting,” you say, a million thoughts racing through your head.
“I think I know what we need to do next.”
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
When you finish eating, you leave the harbor and head to the Chasm, where you bribe the two guards to let you in. Navigating the Chasm is a little tricky, as it’s an area you haven’t spent much time in, but through sheer luck and some educated guessing, you manage to find your way to Cinnabar Cliff.
Finally, you’re in Sumeru. It took three hours of rowing and five of walking, but you finally made it. As the sun sets over the horizon, you breathe out a sigh of relief. You’ve made it.
“We’re here,” Arasay says. “What now?”
“Now we go to Gandharva village,” you say, confidently taking a step forwards. As the two of you travel down the path, you spot an Aranara out of the corner of your eye. Though you’d like to go up and befriend it, it disappears before you can even get a good look. You continue walking, lost in your own thoughts when Arasay grabs you. You jolt to attention, quickly realizing that you were about two steps from waking right into a withering zone. Right, you had forgotten about these.
“Watch it,” he says.
“Should we just go around?” You ask, looking over to your companion. He shakes his head.
“Stay here. I’ll take care of it.” You’re surprised by how quickly and efficiently he fights off the monsters and clears out the area. You knew he was strong from playing the game, of course, but something about seeing it in action is different. It’s amazing, really. “Don’t tell me you’re impressed by only this much,” he says. You glare at him.
“Not at all,” you say, walking past him. You pause, briefly forgetting your frustration and remembering your manners. “Thanks, though.” As you continue down the path, you spot a familiar tuff of green hair and call out to it.
“Collei!” You cry, running over to her. Collie jumps, looking up at you with a confused smile.
“Do…do I know you?” She asks. You freeze. Whoops. You forgot she doesn’t know who you are.
“Ah- sorry! Let me introduce myself. I’m [Name], the Player—which is how I knew your name. If you want me to prove it, I can-”
“No, I believe you,” she says firmly.
“You do?”
“Uh, well,” Collei folds her hands together, looking a bit bashful. “It was a little weird, but I felt like I knew you the moment I saw you, even though I was sure I’d never seen you in my life. Your presence was…familiar to me. It…felt like home. A-anyway, that’s how I recognized you! But, um, what are you doing here? And, um, who’s your friend?”
“‘Friend’ is pushing it,” Arasay huffs. You sigh dramatically, a mischievous glint in your eyes as you drape yourself over him.
“Soulmate, then,” you say, smiling. “Love of my life, the apple of my eye?” Arasay pushes you off of him, and you fall to the ground, your laughing only intensified by the bright pink of his cheeks. Collei looks between you two awkwardly.
“Arasay,” he says to her, helping you up off the ground. “And the reason we’re here is because-”
“Let’s go to the village first,” you say. “We need to speak to your master, too.”
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
“So you need a place to stay for the night?” Tighnari asks, looking between you two. You nod.
“Yes, if it’s not too much trouble,” you say.
“Not at all,” he says. “You two can stay with me.”
“Um, Master,” Collei pipes up. “if it’s okay, I’d like to be the one to host the Player in my hut.” Tighnari looks her up and down, as if sizing her up in his mind.
“I’m sure the player would be more comfortable in my hut,” he says, his ear flicking. “You can take their friend.”
“But—!”
“Collei,” Tighnari says in a warning tone. “Don’t push yourself. I’m sure the Player wouldn’t want you stretching yourself thin over them, right? Don’t forget that you’re still ill.” Collei nods, looking dejected, so you offer her a small smile for comfort. This seems to cheer her up a bit, but she still looks disheartened. The way they’re fighting over you reminds you of being with the Fatui. It sends a shiver down your spine.
“Thank you for your hospitality,” you say. Arasay looks like he has something to say to you, but you avoid his stare until Collei drags him over to her hut. You and Tighnari begin to settle in for the night. It’s clear from the way his gaze continues to travel back to you that he has something he wants to say. You ignore him, though, far too exhausted to try and humor him.
Soon enough, morning arrives. You ask Tighnari to accompany you and Arasay to Sumeru city.
“You’re going to the city?” Tighnari’s ears perk up. “What do you need there?”
“People,” you say. Tighnari looks over to Arasay, who simply shrugs and gets ready to depart.
The three of you make it to the city, where the guards stop and hand you an Akasha Terminal. You thank them and put it on, keeping it there for a grand total of three and a half steps until the guards stop looking, and you pocket the thing immediately.
“Where to?” Arasay pipes up.
“The Akademiya. We need to pick up Cyno and Alhaitham.”
“Cyno I know, but I’ve never heard of this Alhaitham before,” Tighnari says. “Who is he?”
“The Scribe. I don’t know where his office is, though.”
“Cyno might know. And if he doesn’t, I’m sure he can find out.”
“I just hope he’s not busy,” you say, glancing over your shoulder. You keep walking, and in the few seconds you have your eyes off the road, you manage to crash into someone. You and the other person fall to the ground, with you clutching the arm you accidentally hit.
“Watch where you’re going,” Arasay scolds.
“Sorry, I-”
“Not you. Her,” he says, glaring daggers at the lady you knocked into. Tighnari helps you up, and you help the lady to her feet. As you do, you notice her arms are covered in bandages. One happens to be loose, and you can see dark purple scales poking out from underneath.
“...Dunyarzad?” You say, nearly holding your breath.
“Yes?” She asks, looking confused. “Do I know you?”
“Yes! No! Um, maybe…?”
“Huh…?” With exceptional timing, Dehya arrives on the scene.
“Dehya!”
“Do I know you…?” You chuckle. You feel like you’ve been hearing that a lot lately.
“So…” Briefly, you explain who you are.
“Can you take accountability for your words?” Dehya asks, eyes narrowing.
“I can,” you say confidently. “But first, can you come with me? I only want to prove myself once, and there are still some other people I want to see.”
“And now you’re giving me orders? The Player has been missing for weeks. Do you think I’m stupid?” She asks, stepping closer to you. Arasay blocks her from coming any closer, and you can practically feel the animosity in the air. “Even if I did believe you, I can’t just abandon my post like that.”
“That’s enough, Dehya,” says Dunyarzad, walking between you and her.
“My lady…?”
“I believe them,” she says. “I want to listen to whatever they have to say.”
“But-”
“That’s an order.” Her tone is final, leaving no room for further argument. You look at her, impressed by her firmness, to which she returns your gaze with a smile. Dehya sighs, gesturing for you to take the lead.
You lead your party of four (five, including yourself) to the Akademiya, where you’re met with several stares from the students. It’s clear that your odd group doesn’t quite belong here, but perhaps due to the ferocious gaze of Dehya and Arasay, no one dares to say anything. Tighnari leads you to Cyno’s office, where he’s chatting with one of his subordinates. He quirks an eyebrow at your arrival but otherwise ignores you until he’s finished talking. The guard leaves, and Cyno turns to Tighnari. You briefly explain that you’re looking for him and the Scribe, and Tighnari vouches for your trustworthiness. That seems to be all Cyno needs, as he doesn’t ask any further questions and simply leads you to Althaitham’s office.
You knock on the door.
“Come in,” calls a familiar voice. You open the door. “To what do I owe the pleasure, Player?” he says, barely glancing up from his paperwork.
You’re floored. “How did you—?”
“How could I not? I’d have to be a fool not to recognize you,” He says, putting his pen down. Dehya bristles, but doesn’t say anything. Alhaitham rises from his seat and beckons you all inside. Once the door is closed, he continues. “Now, then. I take it you have some matter of great importance you want my help with?”
“Yes! So, here’s the the thing...”
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
“You’re…going to rescue the Dendro Archon…?” Everyone gapes at you. It’s so quiet you could hear a pin drop. You laugh nervously.
“Yes! But, um, only if you’re willing to help me. I can’t do it on my own,” you say, fiddling with the hem of your shirt.
“How would you even…?” Dunyarzad murmurs, looking dazed.
“Before I answer that, there’s something else I need to tell you about. You, uh, may want to sit down for this.” Everyone raises an eyebrow, but no one moves to sit. “Please,” you say. Sighing, Tighnari takes a seat on the floor. Cyno joins him soon after. Soon, everyone save for yourself and Arasay have seated themselves, and you begin.
“How do you know about me?” You ask, looking around. Your gaze settles on Tighnari.
“We’ve all felt your presence,” he says tentatively, as if worried that may be the wrong answer.
“How?”
“You’ve taken control of several of us,” Cyno says. “And we’ve felt your gaze through the Traveler as well.”
“Aha!” Several people look startled by your exclamation, but you pay them no mind. “That’s wrong. The Traveler never came to Sumeru. You couldn’t have possibly felt me from them. Not to mention, I never took control over any of you before I got to Sumeru,” you say, looking over at them triumphantly.
“What are you…?”
“You shouldn’t know about me,” you say. One by one, you watch with victory as everyone begins to clutch at their heads and lean over. By the time the first one passes out, you’re glad you had the foresight to ask them to sit for this.
You wait for everyone to recover, which thankfully doesn’t take long. “So,” you say, looking over everyone’s faces to make sure they’re lucid. “Here’s the plan: we’re going to reuse your and the Traveler’s plan to free the Dendro Archon.”
“The plan took place on Jnagarbha day,” Alhaitham says. “To fully recreate the plan, we’d have to wait months until-”
“Forget that,” Arasay says. “The real problem is the Grand Sage, right? He’s the one keeping Buer locked up. Just take him out. Problem solved.” Everyone goes quiet. What an…unexpectedly brutal solution. Though you suppose he is a former Harbinger.
 “Can…can we do that?”
Come to think of it…there are a lot less variables involved now than there were in the original story. The Traveler had to deal with Dottore and Scaramouche, but ‘Scaramouche’ is on your side now, and Dottore is still in Sneznaya. Maybe you don’t have to come up with some big, convoluted plan to take down the Akademiya. Maybe you really can just solve your problems with violence.
“Okay, let’s do it.” Everyone gapes at you, but you hold firm. “When should we start?”
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
Taking out the Grand Sage was pretty easy. All you had to do was walk into his office and knock him out. From there, you just went up to the Sanctuary of Surathana, once again knocking out whoever stood in your way.
Finally, you’re here. You can see Nahida sleeping in the giant meditation chamber. You’re so close to freedom that you can practically taste it. But first…
“Um, so…does anyone know how to deactivate this thing?” You ask sheepishly.
Alhaitham steps up, walking to some mechanism in front of the chamber. He messes with it for a few minutes before the chamber opens up.
Nahida opens her eyes.
“What’s going on?”
“I’d like to speak with you alone, if that’s alright,” you say, stepping forward. You glance back at your friends (can you call them that now?). You feel pretty bad about dragging them here just to kick them out, but what you’re about to say needs to remain confidential. Everyone except for Arasay leaves to wait outside. Once you’re sure they’re gone, you begin to explain your situation. You tell Nahida about how you got here, why you left Snezhnaya, and why you saved her. You tell her you’ll help her save Sumeru from forbidden knowledge if she hosts and protects you and Arasay in exchange. Additionally, you promise to her that Arasay will give her special knowledge about the ‘sky’ if she promises not to hand her gnosis to the Fatui. Arasay nearly protests at the mention of this, but one pleading look is all it takes to shut him up. Finally, you finish your story. “Please help us,” you say.
"Okay," she says.

Foster
Meadema x Teen!Reader
Summary: You're taken to a new home
Tumblr media
You meet Beth and Viv two days after the new year begins.
Social services came around for the last time in the evening two days ago. They found you, curled up on the floor of your wardrobe, having locked it from the inside with a chain of interlocking hairbands.
Your father had been passed out on the landing and your mother was high out of her mind in the kitchen.
You got woken up, told to pack and taken away. You spend the night in your new social worker's office and then you're brought to their house.
Beth and Viv greet you at the door. You only know who they are because your social worker gave you the file before she dumped you here.
"Your room's pretty bare," Beth explains," We can go and get decorations if you want later today."
You survey the room. "It's fine."
It's more than fine. Your old room was a dirty old mattress that you're sure your uncle and cousins stole. Your wardrobe was second-hand and falling apart while your desk had different-sized legs and the accompanying chair didn't have a backrest so was functionally a stool.
"Are you sure?" Beth looks around the room. "We can get decorations. It's no problem."
"It's good," You confirm, placing your bin bag down on the bed (a bed with an actual bed frame!).
"Okay," Viv says," We'll let you unpack while we make lunch. Any allergies?"
You shake your head.
"We'll see you soon."
Unpacking is done embarrassingly quickly and you linger a bit longer to not look too pathetic in front of Beth and Viv. It's little more than twiddling your thumbs and staring at the clock on your bedside table.
You didn't have a bedside table at home so that's kind of nice. It's got drawers on it so you would be able to stash food in it if you needed to.
Beth and Viv seem like nice people but you can never be quite too sure. It's not your first rodeo in the foster system. Your parents cleaned up their act last time so there's a chance they'll do the same this time though, judging by the way your father was passed out on the stairs, you wouldn't be surprised if he ended up dead by alcohol poisoning.
You sigh softly as you get off the bed, stretching out your back in preparation before exiting the room.
"Hey," Viv says when she notices you lingering in the background," Lunch is ready if you want to sit."
You can't quite tell if she's just being nice or if this is an order. She looks a bit more stern than Beth does so you do what she says. Today's not the day to test boundaries.
She smiles though, when you sit down and slides you a plate. "I didn't know what you like so I just put on a bit of everything."
You look down at your plate and can't help the smile. She's made sure that everything's separate too, so nothing's touching and nothing will taint each piece of food.
"Thanks," You say softly, digging in. You don't know when they'll next give you a meal so it's better to gorge yourself now. You've got your hoard of food from your horse hidden in the drawers of your bedside table but you'll have to stock up soon because some of that stuff will be out of date very soon and you're not desperate enough to eat spoiled food just yet.
"Have you got a phone?" Beth asks.
You shake your head. You didn't even have wifi back home which really sucked when you were meant to do research for school.
"Here." She chucks a box at you with a smile.
You catch it out of the air and look at it. It's a phone. A brand new one by the looks of it.
You look at Beth and Viv in shock. Your previous foster parents had never given you things like this before. You'd gotten given a brick phone a few years ago when you were first separated from your parents but that had been flogged for drug money almost as soon as you got reunited.
"I..." You swallowed thickly to quell the tears you knew would spill down your cheeks sooner rather than later. "Thank you..."
"No problem," Beth says," Once you get it all set up, I can give you the Netflix password. There's a laptop coming too but we forgot to order it until last night. It should be here soon though, for your school work."
"Thank you..."
You feel a bit like a broken record, incapable of doing anything but repeating the same two words over and over again.
Viv smiles as well, sliding a bag of non-perishables at you. She doesn't say anything about it but you knew that she knew. You're not too sure how she knew but it must have been written in your file somewhere.
Your old social workers had noted a few times that you hoarded food like you were about to go into hibernation.
You like that Viv doesn't make a big deal out of it though. She just slides you the bag and nods.
You're oddly flattered and your opinion of Beth and Viv is cemented in your heart pretty quickly.
You just hope that they don't betray your trust because they're already shaping up to be the best set of foster parents you've ever had and all they're really doing is the bare minimum.
You glance around the house.
It looks nice. It's pretty cosy and warm.
You nod to yourself, looking down at the bag bashfully.
You think that you'll like it here.

Rookiepillz: Here We Go Again
Tumblr media
pairing: leon kennedy x fem!reader
summary: almost a year after the rookiepillz incident, you and your now-boyfriend play some video games together. he's got a special strategy to help you win.
cw: nsfw (18+), smut, p in v, brief cockwarming, daddy kink, rookiepillz
word count: 1.8k
a/n: finally. rookiepillz has come back to tumblr. the most anticipated come back of the century in my book. i just needed something silly as a break from school. we'll be back to regularly scheduled programming momentarily. part 1 is here.
Tumblr media
“ANOTHER GOJO!” you yell at your tv, flinging your controller to the other side of your couch. You feign a growl and look up at your boyfriend who’s lap you were laid up on. “Another fucking Gojo killed me. Can you believe this? It’s like a curse or something.”
He chuckles right next to your ear and kisses your temple. “You’ll get the win soon. You placed third that time, that’s not bad,” he tells you as you ready up again.
He was one to talk considering he planned and acted out a whole revenge scheme on you when he placed second. But hey, look at the two of you now. Snuggling on the couch, you wearing one of his shirts, playing video games in his lap while he gives you little smooches and whispers sweet nothings to you.
Sure, he used to be your stepdad, but he’s your man now. Sure, he dated your mom just to get back at you for beating him in a Fortnite match, but he also gave you the best dick of your life. And plus, he was pretty sweet when he wasn’t being a total asshole, so who are you to complain?
His arms squeeze around your waist, and he nuzzles the back of your neck, inhaling your scent as you beat on some innocent player in the lobby for having the default skin. He smiled as he watched your eyes light up with glee. He took in every word you said about how dropping at the pool house was the best strategy. He couldn’t get enough of you.
Yeah, he had fucked your mom as part of a long revenge plot over losing a victory royale. Yeah, he did humiliate you by spanking you and then revealing said revenge plot in the middle of fucking. But it’s only cause he knew you’d be his girl in the end. He was just having some fun with his sweetheart, right?
He half-watches you running around the map, giggling when you drive a car off a cliff or start doing the weeknd emote. A smile breaks across his face whenever you kill someone because you lightly tap his forearm and go “Look! Did you see that? I gottem.” And then he’d whisper to you, “mhm, that’s my girl” before planting another kiss on your cheekbone.
But what really got him going wasn’t the precious moments of joy or the sweet expressions of tension when you started losing health. No. What really fired him up was your rage. What could he say? It reminded him of nearly a year ago when he’d pulled you over his knee, the fire that had burned in your eyes. A day he’d never forget.
All he had to do was be patient for your match to start winding down. Once that notification came up that said there were only 25 people left, that red monster inside you would start rearing its head. The “motherfucker’s” and “god damn it’s” would start flying, and in no time at all, you’d be wearing that adorable pouty expression.
Like right now. He watched your character explode into a pile of loot. You slammed the controller down on your laps and crossed your arms, sinking back into his embrace. “That’s such bullshit. At least it wasn’t Gojo again,” you grumble.
Fuck, it got him hard.
“I think I know your problem, baby,” he says.
You look at him with a raised eyebrow. The one piece of certain leverage you had over your boyfriend was that you were a better Fortnite player. Whenever he gave you unsolicited advice on your playing, you made sure to bring up the fact that you had beaten him before.
“You’re getting so frustrated, y’know. I think you gotta calm down a bit. Let yourself relax so you can think and focus better. And I think I have a way you can do that,” he says.
“And what would that be?” you ask, tone growing softer as you start to catch on.
“How about you relax on daddy’s cock? I know you can only think straight once you’ve been filled up,” he purrs. His hands smooth up your stomach to your tits, coasting over your nipples that were already starting to harden out of instinct. Because if there was one guaranteed piece of leverage he had on you, it was that special word that you’d seemed so averse to just a few months ago.
“I think that’s a good idea,” you answer. It felt shameful that he could get a rush of arousal from you with just a simple word said in a particular tone.
You stand up, still working the controller as another match starts up. He tugs down your shorts for you, grinning like the madman he was at your lack of panties.
“Look at you all prepared,” he coos and kisses your hip, “You knew you’d be getting a treat from daddy today, hm?”
“Lucky guess,” you respond as he guides you back down. Your knees rest on either side of his thighs. He lines himself with your entrance and pulls you down until he’s bottomed out. You whimper and bite your lip, locking your eyes on the tv to focus.
For the beginning, he really does just let you sit there, nice and full. And maybe he was sort of right. You feel pretty calm so far. Everything is less stressful when, in the back of your mind, you’re noticing the way he twitches within you or the small grunts he lets out when you tighten around him.
You were so warm and tight. Felt just as good as the first time, and fortunately for you, there was no bombshell plot twist waiting around the corner. His fingers rub little circles on the outside of your thigh.
“What do you think? Is it helping, babydoll?” he asks.
“Mhm, thank you, daddy. Fits just right,” you say.
He chuckles at the cute way you say it. You work on sniping some people, he tests out rolling his hips. You sharply inhale but don’t protest. So he does it again. His cock slides through the warm embrace of your walls, kissing your favorite spots deep inside. You still seemed focused enough, so using his hands to hold you in position, he begins thrusting upwards.
Your breaths become longer and shakier, but you will yourself to maintain focus. The number of players was dwindling fast. He was bouncing you on his cock which normally left you empty-headed in seconds. But you needed this victory royale. You really were his girl.
He lets out a groan, leaning back against the couch cushions with his head tilted back. It wasn’t like he needed the win this time. He could let go. And so he did. He pistons his cock up into you faster by the moment.
“Fuck fuck fuck. Daddy there’s only two other people,” you whine in a plea for mercy.
“Almost there, baby,” he grunts. You honestly didn’t know if he was referring to your game or how close he was to cumming.
You don’t have time to think about that though because the circle is closing. You grit your teeth and grip the controller with all the focus you have left.
“Daddy, c’mon, I could win,” you whimper.
“I know, princess. You got this, pretty girl,” he mumbles while his eyes flutter. His abdomen twitches as he feels himself gearing up for release. “Tell you what. If you win this one, daddy’ll make sure you get a special reward later on.”
Now it is absolutely on. You can’t lose this. That’d be even more humiliating than the original rookiepillz incident. You’re dashing around the map as your boyfriend pumps in and out of you. It’s a difficult task, managing to hold off your release and try to win.
But soon enough you spot your targets. At the same time, it seems that Leon is reaching his. “Oh fuck, baby. So fuckin’ good. Daddy’s gonna fill you up just how you like,” he whimpers from behind you.
He bounces you, and you know your own peak is imminent. But you see the other players, and in an absolute miracle, you down one and then the other. The tv flashes gold with your victory as your body seizes with the white hot pleasure of release. Simultaneously, he unloads inside you, firing rope after rope into your tight cunt.
He fucks into you a few more times before actually coming back down to reality. You’re coming down too, melting back against his chest. He’s stroking your face when his eyes catch on the tv.
“Holy shit, you actually won?” he asks. His tone gives away that he’s actually impressed. and that’s your ultimate victory royale.
“Mhm, all for you,” you tease and lazily kiss his cheek.
“God, baby. Making me feel like the luckiest man alive right now,” he replies and reciprocates your small gesture of affection.
The two of you cuddle for a bit longer. You’re finished with the game, having finally gotten the win you wanted. And like always, he was such a sweetheart after, giving you kisses and praise, holding you close, even cleaning you up once he got up. Unfortunately, he had to go into work today, so it wasn’t long until he had to leave. He makes sure you’re content before he says goodbye with a kiss to your forehead.
Later that night though, you were alone at your place just as Leon was at his. You get a text. His contact lights up your lockscreen with the message “Get on Fortnite?”
You smile, hopping on your couch and turning on your console. You text back a “yeah hehe :)” He facetimes you, and you beam when you see his face, something you would have never thought possible when you met him. While you wait for everything to turn on and connect, you ask him about his day and how he’s feeling. He answers softly, heart melting at your interest.
To your surprise, when the game finally loads up, you have a gift. From rookiepillz himself.
“Leon…” you say excitedly.
“What?” he asks, playing dumb at first, “Just open it.”
So you do. You burst into laughter as Gojo appears on your screen next. “You’re so funny. I love you,” you giggle. It slips out so casually, he’s not even sure you registered what you’d let slip. He lets it go for now. He would tease you about it later. Right now, he was just so enamored with you.
As you prattled on about wanting to be the skin with the blindfold on and how he should get one for himself so you could match, he realized something. He’d lose every Fortnite match for the rest of his life if it meant he got you. His own personal victory royale.

IN WHERE ::
satoru gojo comes home after a long day at work absolutely tired and bruised, seeking comfort in your arms.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE DOOR CLICKED SHUT and you could hear him taking off his shoes. it was another late night when you tried to stay awake to welcome your boyfriend home, but you were yet again unable to keep your eyes open.
he found you curled up on the couch with a blanket over you, but you had woken up by the sound of the door closing and you immediately rushed to his side. “hi, my love—“ you stopped in the middle of your sentence when you saw the unmistakable hurt expression on his face.
something was wrong.
your hands cautiously reached for his face, cupping it. he subconsciously leaned into your right hand, his eyes failing to meet yours and you were immediately able to figure out why. he didn’t want you to see him like this. as if he was weak, as if he had failed.
you said, "hey," in a gentle tone that made him feel calm and at ease. the terrible headache had begun as soon as he made his way to your shared apartment. he was unable to stop thinking about his late best friend's final moments as they continued to play back in his mind. this caused his thoughts to stray and consider the risk he was putting you in simply because you were his girlfriend. he feared he might end up being a burden for you.
“you’re alright now. are you willing to talk about it?” you had secretly hoped that he would agree to talk since you were so curious about what was going through his mind, though it wasn't a hard guess.
however, he mumbled a quiet no, and with that, you nodded courteously and took his hand in yours. guiding him to the bathroom where you pointed at the counter for him to sit. without a second thought, he obeyed your command and took a seat. the much taller and much more powerful man had suddenly seemed so fragile. so, tired.
you took out the first aid kit from one of the cabinets and set it down beside him. after opening the kit, you took out some patches and rubbing alcohol. his head was cocked to the side to reveal the cut as your hand gently made contact with his jaw. considering that he possessed the infinity technique, it was peculiar for him to return home hurt. and if not, he had the option of visiting shoko to receive healing without the need for any ordinary medical attention.
you had no idea that gojo's only desire was to be cared for and to feel your touch.
before applying the rubbing alcohol-soaked patch to his face, you gave him a heads-up saying "this might sting a little." gojo did not make any movement. rather, his hand reached for your hand that was set on his jaw.
once you finished stitching him up, you gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. he pouted at that and pointed to his lips, earning him a soft laugh from you. you took a step forward and delicately kissed him, your arms around his neck. you leaned backwards, your eyes finding his.
"how about you take a shower and we'll call it a night?" you propositioned, your head tilting to the side and a soft smile was displayed on your face.
"are you saying that i smell?"
your eyes widened at that and you jokingly slapped his arm. "no, you idiot. i'm saying that a shower will help you relax and then we'll go to sleep. i know you're not ready to tell me what happened, so we can just wait until tomorrow. you need some rest."
and in this exact moment, gojo realized that he didn't know what he did to deserve you.
he didn't have to pretend around you. he didn't have to put on the act of making silly jokes and pretending to be fine just because he was the strongest.
no. with you, he was 'toru.
your 'toru.
after his shower, you both found your way to your shared bed. he held you so close to him, but you didn't complain. you couldn't. it was the only way gojo was sure that nothing would happen to you once he closed his eyes, and even so, he still tried to look out for you with his senses.
"hey, y/n." satoru said, loud enough for you to hear but also to soothe you to sleep. "yes?"
"would you still love me if i was a frog and there was no way i could turn into a human?"
usually, you would've rolled your eyes at his silly nighttime questions and told him to go to sleep. but this time, you knew that he needed you to answer. because this wasn't just a silly question. no, he was indirectly asking you if you aren't tired of him.
"i would love you. and in every other universe, i would find my way to you and kiss you once more."
"i love you."
"i love you too. now, rest."

Hello,I am have been reading your work for quite sometime :), I really am loving them so far 😭💗 .I saw that your requests were open, so may I be able to ask for Dazai or Fyodor with male reader who are like Sunday from HSR, and could be in a enemies to lovers type relationship :D, the plot can be upto you :>
A Seraphim or..
Osamu Dazai | M. Reader as Sunday [Honkai Star Rail]
Tumblr media
----------
"Who are you..? An Angel.."
----------
The Charmony Festival.
A once-in-an-era event held in the Country of Festivities, Penacony.
Members of the five great families, which together make up "The Family" on Penacony. As well as staff members of the Reverie, are united in welcoming the world to their home.
The Oak Family.
The Alfalfa Family.
The Bloodhound Family.
The Iris Family.
The Nightingale Family.
All important figures in Penacony.
But one stood out the most...
The man with a halo and wings. [Name].
The leader of the Oak Family. The organizer of the Charmony Festival and a representative of The Family of Penacony. The most important figure amongst them and the one holding the most power.
Who wouldn't be interested in a man like him?
With a charming smile and a soft voice, paired with his unique appearance... he's like an Angel.. no..
A Seraphim.
----------
The first time he laid eyes on him was at the Golden Hour. The moment he saw the man himself he thought he saw the heavens itself.
A Seraphim.
He thought.
But upon further observation... Dazai soon found a different answer..
His vibe seems a little.. sinister..
His smile barely even reaches his eyes.
His voice is soft and yet his tone is firm.
Either way, [Name] had caught his interest.
.
.
.
.
.
"Your radiant glow illuminates me! Your voice is as soft as an angel! I can't believe that I've met such an angelic being! Please make me the happiest man and kill me with these holy hands of yours."
What.
What did he just said.
What in Harmony's name did he just say?
[Name] can't help but chuckle as he pulls his hand away from Dazai's hold. What was that? A proposal?
"Aha.. you're quite funny, Mr. Dazai.. but I believe you've drank too many SoulGlad." He replied, trying to keep it casual and professional.
This man, this suicidal prick..
He's all talk and flattery. It never fails to get under his skin with how buddy-buddy he is. They're only acquainted and yet this bandaged man acts as if they're old friends. Does he even know who he's speaking to? He's [Name]! Leader of the Oak Family! The very mention of his name could silence a whole room and this man dared do such things to him!
"Now now~ I only drank a few~" Dazai reassured with a smile on his face. "Don't you want to go back home to heaven with me~?"
"I believe you'll be sending me down to the fiery pit instead of going up."
"Ouch! How cruel! Then how about we go to your manor?"
"Don't make me turn you down twice."
This.. man child.. what does his agency even see in him..
----------
"Oh, Triple-Faced Soul, please sear his tongue and palm with a hot iron, so he will not be able to fabricate lies and make false vows."
"...What have you done?"
"Under the light of the Harmony, all wickedness is revealed. I implore THEM to shed THEIR light, and I'll ask you questions on THEIR behalf. Next... you have 113 seconds to prove your innocence and gain my trust."
"And if I refuse to answer?"
"You can try — and we'll see if the Harmony rejects you."
It had finally led to this.
Both of them had taken off their masks. Revealing the true wickedness underneath. The suicidal maniac and the so-called leader of the Family.
Oh how he hated that man.
Acting like a child who believes he could get away with everything. It's time where [Name] to put his foot down and stand his ground. This entitlement will not go unnoticed by him and with THEIR radiant light.. he will find the truth..
And judge him as the Harmony see fit.
"Question: Do you have an ability?"
"Yes."
"What a simple answer. You, too, understand that idle chatter leads only to poverty."
"Did you neutralize your ability when you entered Penacony?"
"No. My ability nullifies others."
He already figured that out.. which is why he's holding this "trial" with THEM. For the power of the Aeon is far more powerful than any ability in the world. "Does the page of the Book you handed over to The Family belong to the agency?"
Honestly, he never would have thought the Armed Detective Agency would use such an item to bargain their way into Penacony. Something as powerful as the Book. A page of the Book.
It's a given why he allowed them to enter the dreamscape when they bargained such an item.
"Yes."
"Is the Page of the Book in this room right now?"
"Yes."
"Is your memory free from any kind of tampering or deletion, encompassing but not restricted to the techniques of the Garden of Recollection?"
"Yes."
"Are you a former executive from Port Mafia?"
[Name] continues to ruthlessly question him without missing a beat. Dazai furrowed his eyebrows at the question. Something that doesn't make sense. How could [Name] know such things? "Yes. You even know about that?"
"Does your agency and the Port Mafia have any ability to read, tamper with, or manipulate one's own or another's mind?"
"No. Does it matter?"
"Do you love your family more than yourself?"
Okay where is he getting at here... the questions are getting more and more personal. "Yes."
"...Do you hate and wish to destroy this world with your own hands?" [Name]'s expression turned serious as he narrowed his eyes, his perpetual smile seemed to widen slightly. "...I don't know."
"Interesting. Now, the final question..." [Name] breath out, putting his hands behind his back. "Can you swear that at this very moment, the page of the Book is safe and sound in this box?"
Dazai seems to hesitate a little, thinking of a way to get around this. He always has a plan after all. "...Of course."
[Name] hums as his smile turns a little more sincere. "Looks like we can get an answer."
"Open it, Mr. Dazai... It's your last chance to defend your honor."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"Aren't you happy, Mr. Dazai? You'll finally get your wish in seventeen system hours, the end that you desire so much. Off you go, Mr. Dazai. You are free. I will wait here for your good news."
"Maybe one day.. no.."
"In another universe..."

DogDay x reader

Bath Day
Tumblr media
You were off from work today, which usually means it's your day to relax with your little family or struggling to take the bigger members a bath.
Today just so happened to be the latter, and boy were they in for the surprise.
The four of you had just finished eating lunch and dogday was on dish duty today. But you just happened to be a bit too quiet.
"Angel? Are you ok?"
He calls out for you but he doesn't get a response.
Once he's done he's off to find you. You're not in the common areas so his way over to your shared room.
"Angel?"
He opens the door, revealing you behind it.
"Hey!"
You walk up to him, giving him a hug
"Guess what today is!~"
You sang as he hugged you back, you felt him freeze in place.
"But I washed dishes! Please, Angel"
He whines as you take his hand, reluctantly following you to the bathroom that's been prepared for the soon-to-be fight he would put up.
"I don't think I need a bath just ye–"
"Someone thought it would be fun to play outside in the mud while I was away"
He stands at the door while you check the water temperature and gather what you need.
"So now here we are! Plus kissy needs a bath too but you take me a while."
You laugh, using the bathing brush to point at him.
He sighs and makes his way in, he loves you he really does but he hates baths. Getting soaked made him a bit heavier, and drying off was a pain. He knows he has to though, even he admits that he smells.
"Come on the water feels nice!"
Your voice snaps him out of his thoughts, he stares at you confused for a second.
"Angel! What are you doing?!"
Your clothes were now on the floor as you sat in the water, you wore an orange bathing suit with little dogs on it.
Adorable
He thought to himself as he walks closer.
"Well I figured this might make things a little bit easier for you"
You smile at him, and motion for him to sit.
He makes his way into the tub, his tail wags happily splashing some water on the floor. You didn't care, not only was he happy, but you were happy too. Who knew he'd enjoy bubbles when he wasn't whining all the time?
"Stay still!"
You playfully shout as you attempt to wash the giant dog, squirming in the tub.
"Angel that tickles!"
He laughs out, splashing you with more water.
At this point, you were both soaked from head to toe, so was the floor... and everything else but you'll deal with that later.
Later on in the day
You finished giving Kissy her bath and helped Poppy brush her hair.
Exhausted was an understatement, but you wouldn't have it any other way, you loved seeing them happy and of course, smelling nice.
"Guys, dinners almost done!"
You call out to everyone as you cut some vegetables.
Suddenly, a pair of giant hands grab onto your waist, making you jump.
"Dogday! I could've hurt you!"
You warn as you put the knife down, he doesn't let go, he takes his chance and leans down to your ear.
"Thank you, Angel~"
You gasp as he pulls you closer
"For what, exactly?"
He peppers your cheek with kisses, his tail wags viciously.
"The bath, I had fun!"
You hum in response as you try to cover your now burning-hot face.
"How about next time you don't wear an–"
"Smells good, Y/N!"
Poppy yells out as she and Kissy make their way down the stairs, you try to get out of Dogdays grip but he squeezes you before letting you go, and leans against the counter acting like nothing happened.
Kissy and Poppy poke their heads into the kitchen, you refuse to look at them.
"I thought you said you were almost done?"
She asks, sounding a bit disappointed.
You go back to cutting the vegetables
"Y-yeah I just had to quickly deal with something!"
You nervously chuckle
"All right! We'll watch some TV then!"
You nod in response, once they leave you side eye Dogday.
"What? I did nothing wrong my sweet Angel~"
He teases, crossing his arms and shrugging his shoulders smugly.
"The couch tonight."
You attempt to say coldly, trying to hide the smile on your face.
"You seem to be forgetting something, Angel"
"Oh and what's that?"
You laugh
"You seem to have forgotten who you belong to, hm?"
He leans to your ear once again
"Maybe you need a reminder~"
He purrs into your ear, running his fingers down the side of your neck.
Yeah, maybe you should call out of work tomorrow.

golden rule
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
lucy maclean x gn!reader
summary: you become lucy's only friend in wasteland.
warnings: weapon usage/mentions, brief blood mention, wasteland and life outside the vault, lucy is naive and oblivious at first and a hot mess later, mostly just fluff, golden retriever lucy & black cat reader type of shit, kinda enemies/strangers to secret in lover with each other, reader is hot i wanna date them but also a loser if you see through them, no nsfw, not proofread
"just give it a thought, alright? we could help each other."
"why would i want you for a company? no offense, princess, but i don't associate with vault dwellers." you take a look at her from head to toes, studying the details in her jumper. despite how cool her pistol looked attached to her belt like that, the yellow and blue choice was kind of goofy, you thought.
you can see the excitement in her eyes disappearing as she hears you and you almost felt sorry for her. almost. "okay, ouch." she tilts her head, crossing her arms. in a second, her dramatic act gave place to a smug smile. "oh, i know! what if i help you to find the head?"
even your own bitterness left your soul as you hear her. you pause for a moment, searching for any sign of unseriousness in her face. maybe it was just a bad joke? but then, she keeps staring at you with those huge eyes and a not so subtle smile, proud of what she had said.
"i'm sorry, a head? you mean someone's head?" you frown. "i don't know what you vault people think of us but i'm not a monster." you weren't really offended, but seeing the panic in her face was actually princeless.
"what? no, no! i was just- everyone wants that head and i thought you-" she starts to ramble, not wanting to offend you. her beam went away as fast as it reached her face. you almost felt bad for her twice in a row now.
you couldn't hold yourself back anymore and allowed a smirk to creep onto your lips. she immediately stopped talking and, even though she exhaled relief, you knew that deep down she wanted to kill you but was too kind for that.
"oh. you were messing with me. funny." she gives you a forced dry laugh. it was actually annoying how she tried to be so nice all the time.
as a response, you give her a nonchalant wry smile. "anyway. i'm not looking for a dog right now, so..." you sigh, reaching for the heavy backpack on the floor and sliding it onto your shoulders. "but good luck with the head or whatever it means." you wink at the stranger and turn around to leave.
"wait! please." she grabs your wrist before you could take the first step and in response, you turn around again impatiently, glancing down at her tight grip on your skin. it takes her a while to realize that she's still holding you but as soon as she does, she immediately looks at your wrist as well and let go of it. "sorry." she whispers.
you were ready to interrupt her but, curiously, you felt bad when seeing how insanely desperate she was. it wouldn't hurt to just hear what the had to say, right?
"i've been having a rough week, okay? everyone i've met tried to kill me, except for you. a weird..." she pauses, thinking "robot, or whatever, tried to harvest my organs out and i had to cut someone's head off. and i may not be the strongest or the most experienced person but i can learn!" she was truly putting on her best show while you stood in front of her completely unbothered. at least, you liked to think that you were a complete fearless and tough person. "just... please?"
against all odds, you didn't deny it immediately. and, if you didn't deny it immediately, you knew what it meant. fuck, when did you become such a softie? it could be, of course, the way her hair looked pretty even in a messy ponytail or how the cut on her lip made her look so incredibly ho-
"okay, fine. whatever." that idiot creepy huge smile of hers spread on her face again before you could even finish. "listen up, i'm not done." you roll your eyes. "we'll do things my way, get it? you speak when i speak, you shoot when i shoot, you walk when i walk." you take steps closer to her while you talk. firm, hoarse and assertive tone. you stop when you feel the tip of her nose almost touching yours, keeping the steady the eye contact intact. you were so busy initimidating her that you don't even notice when she hold her breath.
"you are my shadow." you reach up for her face, cupping her chin with your thumb and index finger, forcing her to look back at you. "you don't exist unless i tell you to. do you understand me?" you stated with a piercing gaze.
you thought it was impossible for her eyes to get any bigger but when you step out of your scary platform, you notice her terrified expression. "okey dokey..." she nods frantically.
you gotta admit it. she didn't seem as goofy as before while paying attention to you so devotedly like that. even when still wearing that ridiculous jumper.
eventually, you realize that your eyes were betraying you by staring at her for a little too long. you clean your throat, trying to cover that up. "good. let's go now. we can't stay here forever." you step back and start to walk away, not even waiting for her to join you.
you hear her hasty footsteps getting closer as she tries to catch up to you until she finally shares your pace. "i'm lucy, by the way. lucy maclean." she held her head high, corners of her mouth going up again. god, she smiled a lot.
"good for you. i'm still gonna call you princess, though."
"not to brag, cause that would be impolite of me, but i found a really cool place when i was looking for a river this morning." lucy's smiling from ear to ear and excitedly rocking from side to side is the first thing you see when you open your eyes after a tough night of sleep.
a week had passed since you met lucy. no matter how tough you considered yourself to be, lucy was persistent, charming, sweet and funny enough to make her way to your heart and you knew that you were doomed. deep down, you were suspicious that she knew that as well.
"why are you always so happy?" you groan, rubbing your eyes. unlike lucy, you were not a morning person. or a night person. or any time of the day person.
"good morning to you too, sunshine!"
you are forced to get up, not being actually opposed to it, and take a short sip from your last water bottle. maybe taking a look at lucy's oh so great place would be useful.
"okay then. let's do it, princess." you use your hands to brush the remains of sand and dust out of your pants but lucy's cute giggle prevents you from heading out of the shelter you had found.
lucy approaches you with her usual polite and sweet grin and you unconsciously flinch as she stops just a few inches from you and touch you. predictable, she was gentle while brushing the top of your hair with her fingers, fixing the bundle of messy strands that merged together while you were sleeping and added a funny volume to your head. you follow every move of her with darting eyes and an uncontrollable urge to admire her green eyes focused on your hair and reddish parted lips.
"there you go. pretty as always." lucy coos and before withdrawing herself, her fingers slid down by a few inches and casually tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. for the first time in ages, you froze.
thankfully, lucy didn't seem to notice how affected you were by her innocent act. "thanks." you whispered in a ridiculously soft grin and followed her out of the shelter.
"why do you have a gun if you don't like using it? that's stupid." you tease lucy while you two walked side by side, following the train track to the place she had mentioned.
"i do use it. just when i have no other option. you know, because of the golden rule." she shrugs, proudly, proceeding to explain it to you.
you really tried to not care or call it dumb, but instead, you snorted in amusement. "you are way too naive, you know that?"
a dilapidated house.
lucy's incredible and cool place was nothing but a whole junk. everything was falling apart and, judging by how empty it was, many others were there before you.
"it looked cool from the outside..." she explains herself while scratching the back of her neck.
you were strong. firm. scary and ruthless even. you would shove a knife on anybody's throat if they wasted your time like that, especially after a terrible night of sleep. but, again, it wasn't anybody. it was her.
so, funny or not, you laughed.
"god, you are such a terrible explorer." you take a quick peek at her with the corner of your eyes, wearing an idiotic and foolish smirk on your lips.
"i am not!" her jaw drops and her voice sounds whinier as she defends herself but giggle along with you, not feeling scared to be vulnerable and fully stare at you.
you didn't have to answer to that. all you did was look back and forth at her and the house, proving your point.
"okay, you got me there." she looks down, dramatically pouting and pretending to feel so insulted. "but at least i made you smile. looks good on you." lucy's lips twitch in a shy grin.
"maybe i should smile more, then. if you like it." you boldly murmur, surprised at yourself for saying that. you could swear that lucy's face got almost entirely red but you didn't have enough time to appreciate it or figure if it was real.
"look at those cute lovebirds. love has returned to wasteland, gentlemen." a tall, sturdy middle-aged man mocks you to two other creepy looking guys. one was even missing an eye. in two seconds, you were able to count how many weapons they had and your first thought was the possibility of lucy getting hurt.
you quickly stood in front of her, shielding her from any kind of possible danger.
everthing happened too fast after that. all you remember is denying their offer to take your backpacks with the remains of food and water you had and all of your weapons.
everything went black for a second as your body hit the ground. you slowly manage to get on your knees and look around but lucy isn't there and you are trapped. you feel a sharp pain as you breathe in and a drop of blood hits your pants. you shudder at the moment you cautiously feel your cheek, warm to the touch and stinging like you were poked by a thousand needles. your fingertips carefully drop to your mouth and you hiss as you touch the wide cut on your swollen lower lip.
you notice the crisp click of the gun's trigger being released and you look up, expecting to see the weapon pointed at your head. instead, you see the men with their hands above their heads.
"get away from them!" lucy's voice fills your ears and you turn your head back to find her with a huge weapon in hands pointed at the strangers. she takes a quick glance at you and you see the anger inside her overflow as she notices your wounds.
"i'm gonna count to three and i want your ugly, filthy and miserable roaches out of my face or... or i'll shoot!" judging by her tone, you can easily notice how nervous she is even though she's trying her best to actually stand up for you.
and the thought of being protected by someone made your heart flutter. you weren't bothered by the aching pain in your lip when you found yourself proudly smiling at her.
the big guy seemed to notice the tension in her voice and took a step closer to you. you could only imagine how badly he had regretted that as soon as a loud bang echoed through the entire house and his foot was hanging by a thread, quite too literally.
"oh, golly..." lucy mutters with widen eyes. you follow her shock with a gasp that was completely muffled by the loud and agonized screech.
"don't make me repeat myself! all of you out, now!" she yells, threatening them by aiming the gun at them once more. "if that's okay with you, please." the scary expression in her face swiftly changed to a well-mannered and soft grin.
the injured men is rushedly dragged out by the other two, not looking back and you can not believe that someone as adorable looking as lucy was the one to broke her dear rule and hurt people.
"thank you! t-take care." she waves at them innocently, still with the gun in hands before running to you.

"You have to be kidding me." You sigh as you let your boys into the house.
"I'd never. I'm always serious when it comes to you. Megumi, call Shoko. She can patch you up." Gojo smiles waving the boy off
"Are you okay? I can call her. Satoru's overpowered self doesn't know what real pain feels like." You glare at your boyfriend
"I'm fine. Just watch over Itadori." Megumi says slowly walking off in the direction of his room he hasn't been inside for months since moving into the dorms at Jujutsu High
"So this... pink-haired, normal kid ate Sukuna's finger?" You ask in disbelief as you watch Megumi walk off.
"Yup. I think he's even got potential as a vessel." Gojo says motioning to the unconscious child he's holding like a sack of potatoes.
"Satoru, a finger is one thing. Twenty is a whole different story." You warn
"Did I mention he can swap with Sukuna at will?" Gojo asks
"What?" You stop in your tracks
"Cool, right? I asked him to give me ten seconds with the King of Curses and ten seconds later, Itadori here was back in control of his body." Gojo explains
"And Sukuna is okay with this?" You ask
"Oh, I doubt it. There's something special about this kid for sure though. Plus he seems like he'd be a great friend to Megumi. Seriously, that kid's so quiet sometimes I swear he's a statue or something." Gojo points out
"I'll ignore what you just said about Megumi for now. But, you realize what the higher-ups will say about your master plan to get Megumi a new best friend." You remind Gojo.
"Yeah, yeah...according to regulations he should be executed. Didn't know you were such a fan of theirs." Gojo teases
"I'm not and I know you're not either. Which is what makes your decisions so dangerous. Running around doing whatever you please will get someone hurt." You remind him
"Damn, you're a buzzkill. Too much time with Nanamin will do that to you though. We'll have to have a date night soon so I can remind you how cool I am." Gojo smiles
"Right, super cool, that's definitely why we're together." You roll your eyes, "Has it ever occurred to you that I genuinely like spending time with Nanami?"
"Well, that's just a bonus. The real reason is obviously my good looks." Gojo grins, pulling at his blindfold to wink at you.
"Wuzz happinin?" A gurgled voice sounds as Itadori struggles out of Gojo's grip and lands on the soft living room rug you had picked out with Tsumiki years ago.
"Oppsie...can't have you waking up yet." Gojo laughs before flicking Itadori's head and watching him fall asleep again
"Well, I'm off to talk to the higher-ups about him. Make sure Megumi actually calls Shoko. He tried going toe to toe with Sukuna before I got there." Gojo smiles
"I can't believe you let Megumi of all people get beat up by Sukuna." You groan walking towards the steps.
"Getting beat up builds character." Gojo reasons as he scoops Itadori back up
"Says the man who has Infinity and can teleport."
"Having him around won't be that bad." You assure the dark-haired boy beside you.
"You're kidding, right? We are talking about the same person right? Because last I checked you just said Itadori would be coming to school here." Megumi asks
"Of course we are. Besides you need friends your own age." You push
"I do have friends," Megumi said sitting down on his bed beside you
"I don't count." You smile "Also, why are you acting so cool all of a sudden? Satoru told me that you didn't want Itadori to die." You smile
"Yeah, I didn't want him to die. I didn't say I wanted him to join the school I went to." He clarifies
"Well, too bad. Satoru got what he wanted and now Itadori is officially a vessel. Of course, his threatening of the higher-ups probably influenced their decision. After all, no one's ever going to be able to beat him so arguing immediately becomes pointless." You say
"Aww talking about me with such fondness in your voice? My heart is warmed." Gojo suddenly cuts in, slowly opening Megumi's dorm door
"What do you want?" Megumi asked
"I'm here to drop off your new best friend." Gojo grins, pushing the door open fully to reveal Itadori, this time conscious.
"Hey, Fushiguro." He smiles with a save
"You had to put his room right next to mine?" Megumi asked
"Of course." You laugh standing up and crossing the room to Gojo and the newest student of Jujutsu High.
"Oh, hello, Zenin-san." Itadori greets
"Hello, Itadori. I hope Satoru has told you everything you need to know about this school." You smile
"Yeah, he was great at explaining everything." Itadori nodded
He definitely missed a bunch of stuff.
"That's great. We'll leave you two to talk. Megumi you should help Itadori unpack his stuff, you'll get to know each other better." You suggest, linking your arm around Gojo's.
"Wow a girl's close to me! I think I'm blushing!" Gojo declares stupidly beside you as he lets you pull him out Megumi's room and down the hallway.
"Is there something wrong with you? Seriously, the more I spend time with you the more I think you were dropped on your head as a baby or something." You groan in annoyance
Itadori watches his new teacher and the good-looking woman disappear down the hall, bickering like an old couple the further away they get. He swears he even hears one of them mention toenails.
"Hey, Fushiguro, they're kinda strange together don't you think?" Itadori asks
"Trust me, you haven't even seen the half of it." Megumi sighs
July
The soft beeping of Satoru's alarm is what greets you most mornings. Normally you'd lie in bed while he showered and then drag yourself downstairs and eat breakfast with him. Instead today, you're greeted with strong arms wrapped around your waist and a barrage of kisses down your neck.
"Good morning," Satoru says, his voice is deep with sleep and his white hair is a mess atop his head
"Mmm...morning." You groan, trying to wiggle away from him so you can stretch.
"Don't leave." Satoru groans
"I won't. I just need to stretch my leg feels funny." You promise
"Fine." He relents, letting go and opening his pretty eyes
"Woah, jumpscare." He says "What the hell happened to you?"
"Shut up. It's all your fault anyway!" You groan, grabbing your pillow to try and suffocate him
Satoru laughs under the pillow and easily pushes you away.
"Sorry, sorry. Guess I got carried away with the hickies last night. It won't happen again." He laughs
"You're a terrible liar." You sigh, reaching across him and snatching up his phone from the nightstand when it dings
"Who is it? Is it our little blessing telling us to stop PDAing in the hallways when you visit the school?" He asks
"You really need to stop calling him a little blessing, even if his name literally means it." You laugh "It's actually Itadori. Apparently, He, Nobara, and Megumi are going out shopping and to a movie later. They wanna know if you wanna tag along." You say
ding!
Bring Zenin-san if she's free too!
"And my presence has also been requested." You smile and tap out a reply
We'll be there at 1!
"They just want me to pay for everything." Gojo scowled
"What's the matter, rich boy? Are your pockets hurting supporting all these teens? You're the one who brings 'em home like they're lost kittens." You tease
"So mean to me! And after I gave you three orgasms last night!" Satoru laughs
"Oh please, I know we're not dating because of my stellar people skills." You remind him, poking at his face as you lie back down next to him, hoping for some cuddling before you have to get up and shower.
"You're right...It's probably your awesome tits that have kept me around for so long."
"Satoru Gojo!"
"I'm sorry but they're really great! It's like one of the first things I noticed about you!"
"Domain Expansion!."
"Wait, I was just joking!! It's also your awesome personality! What're you doing with that pillow? Stay back, demon!!"
"Where the hell are they?" Nobara groans
"Gojo is always late. I don't know why you bothered inviting him." Megumi says, his face still buried in his phone
"Yeah, but I thought since we invited Zenin-san he'd be more punctual." Itadori groans
"Trust me, when those two are together, they're anything but punctual," Megumi warns
"You sure seem to know a lot about them, Fushiguro. What aren't you telling us?" Nobara smirks, nudging her classmate
"Yeah, c'mon Fushiguro, spill the beans. That's the whole reason we invited both of them here. We wanna know what kind of a relationship they have!" Itadori says
"Why does it matter? They're both idiots. Gojo more so but still..." Megumi says
"I happen to think Zenin-san is a very respectable woman who would never stoop so low as to be romantically entwined with Gojo. I mean have you seen him?" Nobara asks
"Yeah, but have you ever seen Gojo without his blindfold? I did one time and he's totally hot! What if Zenin couldn't resist a pretty face?" Itadori countered
"I think she's stronger than that. Besides it'd be kind of crazy if two special-grade sorcerers were dating. They'd be the definition of a power couple!" Nobara says
"Yeah, but wouldn't that make them cooler than they already are?" Itadori asks
"Whatever, I just hope Gojo pays for everyone's snacks at the movie theater." Nobara says
"I'm not a walking ATM machine you know."
"Gojo!" Itadori smiles "Oh and Zenin-san is here! Perfect timing."
"You guys can just ignore him, he'll definitely pay for everyone's food." You smile
"Why are you two always so late?" Megumi asks
"You've known us for how many years Megumi? You should know that Satoru is chronically late." You say
"Wait...how many years have you known him, Zenin-san?" Nobara asks, her detective skills are on point today...
"Huh? Oh, I've known Megumi since he was six." You say as if its obvious
"What?" Nobara asks, clearly shocked
"Yeah, so has Satoru. He's actually the one who met Megumi before me. Brought him back like a little homeless kitten." You say, thinking of the day you met Megumi for the first time.
"You remember Toji Zenin, right?" Gojo asks, the phone crackling slightly as you listen to him
"I mean...vaguely. I think I might've seen him a few times around the clan's estate when I was little." You say
"Right, well he's got these kids..." Gojo trailed off
"So?" You ask, wondering if he could hear your eye roll through the phone
"I'll be there soon. Don't keep me waiting!" Gojo sings before hanging up
You groan, wondering what nonsense he was cooking up this time. Without Geto around Gojo had become a bit of a pain in everyone else's asses. Perhaps he was just lonely without his friend or maybe he really was just that annoying. All you knew was that when Geto was still here, Gojo bothered you a lot less than he did now.
"What the hell is this?" You ask twenty minutes later staring at Gojo and then at the two small kids who are next to him, a boy and a girl
"The kids I was just talking about, duh. Don't you listen? No wonder you have to study so much." Gojo taunts, pushing you out of the way and into your dorm, the kids following close behind. They reminded you of little ducklings following their mom.
If their mom was an 18-year-old white-haired freak of nature that is.
"Where the hell did they come from? You didn't steal them did you?" You ask
"You want a baby-making lesson? How bold, Zenin. I'd rather wait til' marriage though." Gojo laughs
"Can we play with that?" a small voice interjects, Gojo's crass words flying over young minds
You follow the boy's pointing hand to where your Wii console sits in front of your TV.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah, knock yourself out." You say "The games are in a bin under my bed."
"They're Toji Zenin's kids. The boy is Megumi and the girl is Tsumiki." Gojo says as he watches them load Mario Kart up on the TV, bickering about who was going to get to play as Yoshi.
"You stole a dead man's children? What the hell is wrong with you?" You groan. These kids should be with the clan leader if they're orphans, not with Gojo.
"I didn't steal them. He basically gave them to me." Gojo defends
"He's dead, Gojo. He can't give anything anymore. Besides you can't just hand kids off like they're watermelons." You say
"Well he was originally going to sell them off to your clan so I'm doing them and him a favor," Gojo says
He's right, he is doing them a favor by keeping them away from the clan. Even now at 17, you can't escape how it ruins your life, just being a Zenin is terrible, especially for the girls.
"Alright well, what're they doing here in my dorm?" You ask
"I was hoping you could help me with them. I don't really know much about kids. Plus you guys are related so at least they'll know one of their relatives this way." Gojo explains
"You're joking, right? Gojo we can't just raise two random kids together." You say "Take them to some government program or something. They shouldn't grow up with sorcerers looking after them."
"Yeah about that...Megumi has the-" Gojo is cut off by a scream of frustration from the TV where the kids are playing
"You can't just let them out whenever you lose! That's not good sportsmanship! " Tsumiki shrieks tossing a pillow at what looks like two puppies that sit next to Megumi
"Holy shit..." You say, your eyes ready to pop out of your head
"Yup. Megumi here's one talented kid. He's got the Ten Shadows Technique. Something your clan is itching to get its hands on." Gojo smiles
You can hear the smugness in his voice as you begrudgingly make up your mind.
"Fine. I'll help. But only for a few years." You say casting a glance at Gojo who just continues to smile
"Why don't you ever tell us anything, Fushiguro?!" Itadori groans "You grew up with two super cool people raising you and didn't say anything?"
"I didn't think you guys would care," Megumi says
"Alright, so you guys are just what? Co-workers who raised Megumi together then?" Nobara asks
"What? No. Well, I guess it technically started that way but now..." You trail off looking at Satoru who tosses an arm around your shoulders
"We're a couple! She couldn't resist my charms!" Gojo says
"I told you, Kugisaki!" Itadori shouts in victory
"Shut up, you idiot!" Nobara groans
You laugh at the first years as they bicker while Megumi watches them in silence.
"Mmm. You're so pretty when you smile like that." Gojo says, his lips tickling your ear as he whispers to you.
"Stop it..." You say, turning away from him
Gojo laughs before pulling you so your back is pressed to his chest. He leans down and gently places a kiss on your ear, then behind it, and then another on the nape of your neck.
"Could you two keep it PG for once in your lives?" Megumi asks, his face is red with embarrassment.
"Sorry, I know you said no more PDA. Can you blame me? She's just so gorgeous. I have to remind her regularly." Gojo smiles
"I think it's kind of cute," Itadori says
"Yeah, Fushiguro stop hating on them....hey what's that on your neck, Zenin-san?" Nobara asks
Shit...the foundation that was covering the marks from last night must've smeared...
"Gross!" Megumi declares getting ready to walk away
"Hey, it's natural! How do you think you came into this world?!" Gojo defends
"Gojo, we didn't create Megumi." You remind him, watching as Nobara and Itadori chase after Megumi.
"You're telling me. No kid of mine would have an attitude like that!" Gojo scoffs
"Yeah, you're right, they'd probably be worse."
August
"You're sure keeping him here isn't going to get anyone else killed?" You ask watching as Itadori messes with Yaga's cursed corpse bear.
"Nah, I had Shoko keep his resurrection off the record. Sukuna sure is unpredictable though." Gojo says
"What about Megumi?" You ask, "He seemed really broken up about Itadori's 'death'. So did Nobara."
"They'll be fine. They didn't know him that long anyway." Gojo waves you off
"Satoru, you of all people should know that it doesn't matter how long you spend with a person. The memories existing are more than enough even if much time hasn't passed." You say, referring to Geto.
"They'll be okay, this isn't permanent. Just til' he gets a bit stronger." Gojo says
Right, getting stronger, is a constant goal for a sorcerer. You look over at Itadori who's just been punched by the bear.
"He has a lot of work cut out for himself. You sigh watching as the bear dances in victory.
"That reminds me...could you give Nanamin a call for me? I wanted to tell him about Yuji myself but he blocked me after I sent him too many memes last year." Gojo says
September
"Utahime-san, we can cut through here. I bet the kids are...who the hell is that?" You ask stopping your pace.
A skinny blonde boy is about 30 feet away, a shiny sword in one hand. His long hair is pulled back and strange pink triangles adorn his under eyes.
"He's human," Utahime warns
"Women! And they're pretty too!" He smiles, the sword in his hand glitters in the light
"Get out of the way." You say, not interested in talking, "I'm busy."
"Wahhh, so mean! That's okay though...."
A flash of blonde hair meets your eyes as he swings at your head.
"Damn, you're slow." You taunt as you move easily out of the way, Utahime close on your tail.
You have to be mindful of her. She's not one for actual fights, she's best with support. Plus, you don't want to find out if there are any more special-grade curses like that tree thing lurking behind any of these buildings. Fighting something like that didn't interest you, especially if it meant you'd have to look after another while doing so.
Maybe you could just annoy this guy into leaving you alone so you could go find the students.
"I don't think you're worth my time. Look at you you're not even clothed properly." You taunt
"You're so fast!" I thought I cut at least one of you!" He smiles
You roll your eyes, whoever this guy is he probably won't just give up. He must not be aware that he's clearly outclassed by you.
"I don't think I should even bother activating my technique to defeat you. You're like a flea on a lion's back, completely invisible." You grin before quickly closing the distance between you and him, delivering a solid right hook to his face.
Ponytail goes flying and lands on the ground, hard.
"Who said you were allowed to hit that hard?" He groaned, holding his injured face.
"I did. When I decided you weren't worth my technique. Now come back over here, I want to hit you again." You say motioning to him
"What kind of person says that?!"
Before you can get another hit in, the veil has been lifted. You squint up at the sky to see Gojo there, clearly surveying what's happening.
"It hasn't even been thirty minutes yet!" Ponytail whines "I guess I'll see you later..."
"Huh?" You turn to the guy only to see him sprinting off. "Hey! Where the hell do you think you're going-"
"Just leave him, He's not worth it, you said it yourself. Besides we should clear the area." Utahime says looking up at Gojo. "I have a feeling that that idiot is about to do something to get rid of that special grade that was in the forest."
October 5, 2018
"Do I really have to be here?" Nanami asked with a tired sigh
"Of course you do. It'll be fun you'll see." You smile at the blonde
"Last time we all went out didn't Gojo throw up on you, Nanami?" Shoko asked
"Yes. That is one of the reasons I don't want to be here." He confirms, his eyes remain fixed on you
"Oh, would you relax...besides Satoru isn't even here right now." You point out.
You wish he'd stop doing that. Nanami was always watching, it kind of felt like if you dud anything embarrassing he'd catch you and tease you for it. Not that he had ever done that...yet.
"Where is he? I thought we all agreed on meeting here at six." Mei Mei says
"Oh, he was given an extra mission today. He shouldn't be too much longer." You say
"If that were me I would've asked for extra pay. Especially if I wasn't given an advanced notice." She says
"I doubt he needs any more money at his disposal." You laugh
"You never know, what if I'm actually broke?" Gojo chimes in as he makes his way towards the table
"Well, then who's been paying all the bills for the past ten years at our place?" You tease as he sits down next to you.
"Megumi. He's got his Shikigami robbing banks for him." Gojo grins
"Yeah, okay." You laugh, shoving at his shoulder.
"Hey wanna play a drinking game? We could all name the things we love about Satoru Gojo!" He suggests like he always does when alcohol is on the table
"No!" Everyone groans in unison.
"Thanks, Nanami." You huff as you slam the passenger side door, effectively trapping Gojo in the car
"Are you sure you'll be able to get him in the house by yourself?" Nanami asks, eyeing the drunk sorcerer who has his entire face pressed up against the window
"I'll be okay...I think. Megumi is at the house with Itadori, they're having a sleepover... Not sure why they couldn't just do that at the dorms. Anyway, I'll just have them help out if I need to." You say
"Alright. I'll see you later then. Goodnight." Nanami says
He's as polite as ever as he walks down the sidewalk to his own car. Somehow you swear Nanami came into the world with good manners and matching clothes on. Seriously, how do all of his outfits always look good?
You turn your back and miss the way Nanami's eyes follow you, wishing you had taken him up on his suggestion for help. Yes, even if it meant dealing with Gojo, he'd do it for you.
"Who knew he was this heavy?" Itadori laughed as he supported Gojo's legs
"It's all those sweets he eats. He's probably secretly 900lbs or something." You groan, "Megumi are you even supporting your side?"
"Of course I am." He says, "Just walk faster, my arm is cramping"
It's an entire ordeal to get Gojo into the house. Megumi and Yuji help you toss him onto the couch before bidding you goodnight. You have a feeling they're just going to lock themselves in Megumi's room and watch horror movies for hours. But hey, what else would you do on a Friday night at 15?
"Nghhh."
Damn, you were hoping he was out for the night.
"Satoru?" You ask, crouching down to be eye level with him as he lays on his side on the couch
"Nanamin?" He asks
"Nope. Guess again." You smile
"Shoko?" He asks
"Wrong." You laugh
"I give up, tell me." He groans, his eyes remained closed as he lay there.
"It's your girlfriend." You say
"Suguru?"
Now you don't know if you should feel insulted or feel bad for him.
"Whatever. Let's get you out of your clothes and put something more comfortable on." You say, pulling his zip up off and reaching for the t-shirt he had underneath.
"Hey!" He suddenly gasps, shooting up so he's sitting upright
"What's wrong?" You ask, concerned
"I'm taken. Besides you can't just strip me without my consent. I'll call the police." He says, holding his hands across his chest like he was a woman, "No means no."
"Satoru, I'm the one you're dating. Now let's go put our pyjamas on." You say, maybe he could follow you so he could dress himself upstairs
"You want me to follow you after you just tried violating me! What kind of sick pervert are you?!" He asks, his hands remaining over his chest
"The sickest there is." You joke, "By the way you don't have boobs to cover up, stop sitting like that."
"I'm in a vulnerable situation!" He defends
You didn't have the energy to do this and drunk Satoru was driving you nuts,
"Right vulnerable..."You sigh before walking over to the bottom of the steps "Megumi! I need help with him!"
"Can I use a Shikigami this time?" The boy calls back
"Sure!" You say
A half second passes before Megumi and Itadori clamor down the steps to reappear in the living room to take in the "violated" 28-year-old manchild who remained set on remaining modest with his hands on his chest.
"Um...Zenin-san what's he doing?" Itadori asks
"He thinks he's got tits to hide or something." You sigh, too tired and a bit drunk to deal with all this.
"Rabbit escape," Megumi says, and before you know it the living room is filled with little white rabbits.
"Woah, Fushiguro these guys are super cute!" Itadori says, picking one of them up and petting it.
"Right? I was so excited when he showed them to me for the first time." You smile
"Carry him," Megumi says to the rabbits, ignoring the two of you.
The rabbits move in sync and surround Gojo before pushing him off the couch and onto their many backs so they can carry him up the steps.
"It's kind of like he's crowd surfing," Itadori observes
"Ha!" You laugh as you watch Satoru slowly make his way up the steps by rabbit back.
"Should they put him on the bed?" Megumi asked
You think about it for a moment. Drunk Satoru was always cuddly but he often vomited and you didn't want to clean that up.
"Just...leave him on the floor at the foot of our bed." You suggest
"Heh, like a puppy dog." Itadori laughs
October 31, 2018,
7:14 pm Jujutsu High
"What do you mean they're asking for Satoru specifically?" You ask looking at Ijichi, bewildered that normal people would know who your boyfriend is.
"Apparently they're calling for him. But we think it has to do with the veil that's been lowered that's holding them there." He explains
"I'm famous." Gojo declares, standing up with a grin.
"Famously stupid." You roll your eyes and Nanami lets out a hum of amusement
"She's right about that." He agrees
"You worried or something? I'll be fine." Gojo smiles, resting his elbow on your shoulder
"I'm always worried about you." You mumble
"What was that?" He asks
"Nothing." You say
"Mmmhm...welp, I'll be off to Shibuya then. I'll see you two later." Gojo smiles, leaning down for a kiss.
"I need a kiss, for encouragement." He says
You lean forward and gently place a chaste one on his lips, aware that poor Ijichi and Nanami are a few feet away.
"A real one!" Gojo groans
"All our kisses are real you fool!" You defend pushing his face away from yours
"Fine! I'll just get a kiss from whatever curse is making that barrier. I bet it'll be better than yours anyway!" Gojo taunts before walking off
You let out a sigh of relief as he disappears down the hall. Satoru was exhausting sometimes.
"How do you willingly put up with that?" Nanami genuinely asks
"I wish I knew." You reply
8:14 pm, Shibuya, Restaurant Avenue.
"You're getting fat. My son doesn't want a fat bride." A voice calls
Damn...of all places why here? You wanted to go home, shower, and watch bad reality TV with Satoru.
"Hey! What'd you just say?! Zenin-san is a special-grade sorcerer! You can't just say-"
"It's alright, Nobara. This old fool is probably so senile and drunk he doesn't know what he's saying." You say, turning to see Nabito Zenin, clan leader, and your future father-in-law standing before you.
"Naoya won't have kids with a fat woman. Lay off the noodles." Naobito scolded
"I need to buy new pants again. You have to stop feeding me all your leftovers, I'm getting fat!" You groan in front of the mirror
"You're not fat! Besides, even if you've gained a little, it just means there's more to love!" Satoru beams, wrapping his arms around you from behind, "You're as beautiful as ever, sweetheart. Besides I like curves, they're attractive! "
"Oh, fuck off. I don't plan on reproducing with Naoya anyway." You say
"Well, that'll be news to him," Naobito says shaking his head"Maki, I can't believe I'm supposed to be assessing your promotion. I plan to make sure you don't get it, by the way."
If this were a cartoon, you're sure Nobara's ears would be blowing smoke out of them by now. She's positively red with anger and honestly, it's a bit comical. You're used to Naobito's insults, and so is Maki, neither of you is going to let him get under your skin tonight.
"And how'd that work out last time you tried doing that?" Maki asks, looking at you
Naobito's face droops into a scowl. He's not happy to be reminded of his failure to prevent your promotions over the years.
"That was different. The higher-ups like that she's got a technique. You're just a brat who's good with a few cursed tools and a fancy pair of glasses." He explains
"And yet she's a higher rank than your own son is. Naoya is a Special Grade One right? Oh wait, so are you! That must be embarrassing. Last time I checked special grade is higher than Special Grade One, right?" Maki laughs
Nobara lets out a snicker but stops it from becoming too loud by slapping her hand over her mouth.
"You insolent little bi-"
Alright, that's enough. Naobito's hand that flies, ready to smack Maki, is fast but you're faster. You easily catch the old man's wrinkled wrist.
"You're getting slow. Perhaps it's all the booze you like you guzzle." You say
"Whatever. You're lucky that you're actually useful, otherwise I would've killed you years ago." He scowls, "Ungrateful bitch,"
"Mmhm, sure." You say, "Raise a hand to either of these girls tonight and you'll be sent back to the Zenin Estate in pieces. I've gotten faster and don't mind demonstrating why I'm a Special Grade, so watch it, old man."
"You've become overconfident. I think you're spending too much time with that white-haired fool." Naobito smiles
"Perhaps. Do you really want to find out though? I wonder if Naoya or any of his brothers will be concerned when the dear clan leader turns up dead." You reply
9:05pm,
"The second curtain is down!" Nobara declares
"Good. We'll move in then. Inumaki is handling evacuations so focus on any curses or curse users." You say "Our main goal is to assist Satoru in whatever way possible and get as many normal people safely out of his way."
"Got it." Maki says
"Yes ma'am." Nobara smiles
"I'm the elder here! Shouldn't I give the orders?!" Naobito yells
"Fine. What do you want to do then, oh dear clan leader?" You mock
...
"Just do whatever she said!" Naobito relents, ignoring you.
Heh. What a loser.
9:26 pm, the basement of Shibuya Station
What was this? A fake? No....he was here!
Suguru Geto was standing in front of him, healthy as ever.
"Who are you?"
"Don't you remember, Satoru? I'm Suguru Geto. Did you forget? How sad!" The imposter mocks him, and Suguru.
"Your body, your cursed energy, everything my six eyes see tells me you're Suguru Geto..."
They're wrong. Every bit of information his body is screaming at him to acknowledge is wrong. The instincts he had relied on for so many years were wrong, This wasn't Suguru. No, Suguru was gone, whatever was in front of him was no friend, and the way he mockingly said Gojo's name was perfect proof.
You can't imitate love.
"But my heart and my soul know otherwise! Who the hell are you?!"
"How'd you know?"
The stitches on the imposter's face are removed as the imposter reveals himself.
"My technique allows me to hop bodies by switching brains. I coveted this man's curse manipulation of course." The monster in front of him mocks
"Goodnight, Satoru Gojo. We'll meet again, in the new world." It bids him goodbye
"How long are you going to let it keep using you, Suguru?" He calls out to his best friend for the first time in nearly a year.
"HA!" The monster grins as Suguru fights him, amused by the struggle from Suguru's instincts.
I'm always worried about you.
Looks like you were right. You always were, one way or another.
Heh, next time Satoru Gojo might listen to you. After all, look how he's ended up.
"Gate, close."
10:20 pm, Inokashira line
Satoru Gojo has been sealed.
At least that's what you heard through assistant directors who have been feeding information the best they can.
How the hell did he get himself captured? He was untouchable, so what did he see that rattled him that badly?
"Why don't you cut loose. I'm sure you could level the playing field against these curses easily, Miss Special Grade." Naobito taunted
"Shut up!" You yell, cutting through another low-level curse
Letting loose, what a funny idea. Creating too many duplicates was bad, especially in a high-stress situation like this. What was once a support mission had just become a rescue mission.
"You know she can't." Maki defends you
"Whatever. All I hear is how special you are yet I've never seen your full technique. Kind of a waste don't you think?" He asks
He's baiting you. It won't work.
"Once we rescue Satoru, I'll show you my full technique. Perhaps one of my duplicates will kill you for me." You say
"I doubt it." He grins
"Zenin-san!" A oh so familiar voice calls out to you
"Nanami!" You greet, Thank god you're here to save me from this old man."
"Are you alright?" He asked
Always so overly concerned.
It was sweet though, you'd have to have lunch with him soon, you wanted to catch up with him, it had been too long. Perhaps you could go to a diner, Nanami had always enjoyed a good sandwich.
"I'm fine." You brush him off
"I overheard his taunts. Don't let your technique out fully unless there's no choice." Nanami reminds
"Duh, I'm not crazy." You say you say gently punching his arm.
Nanami shakes his head but falls into pace with all of you.
"You ought to turn back. Grade One is the minimum for the next battles, Maki." He warns
He's right. You had noticed that the deeper you went into the station, the stronger the curses were. You hadn't been sure what you were going to say to the girl but you were glad Nanami spoke up for you
"I'll be fine." She said
"He's right, Maki. I don't want you getting hurt." You say
"How am I going to advance if I don't challenge myself," Maki said
"Dying isn't challenging yourself." You say
"You should listen to your elders, girl." Naobito laughs
"Like I'd listen to a drunkard. I'm staying." Maki declares
When the hell was he drinking?! You swore he didn't have any booze on him.
"Were you seriously drinking?" Nanami judges
"I'm drinking for myself!" Naobito declares shamelessly.
What an asshole.
You follow Nanami down the steps, happy as a clam that there's an adult you actually like here. Sure Maki was great company and you loved her dearly but her stubbornness drove you nuts sometimes.
"Stop." Nanami commands, putting an arm out in front of you.
Then you sense it, something much stronger than the last curses is here.
"Maki, go back up those steps now." You order, making eye contact with a red and white curse.
"Hell, no, I told you I'm-"
"Quit your arguing." Naobito commands suddenly
He's stepped away from your little group and has gotten a hand on the curse
"You guys are too slow."
"Naobito wait!" You call, sensing something is wrong. The curse that put out such a strong aura just seconds ago wasn't putting it out anymore. It was letting Naobito get close to it.
Your words fall on deaf ears as he sends a punch to the curse. It flies back and spits out thousands of human bones.
How disgusting.
It's a little surprising what happens next. You watch as the little red curse crawls away from Naobito, calling out for it's comrades' names.
"What the hell is it doing? Forget it...let's kill it now." You say as you begin to walk towards it.
"How dare you kill Hanami?" It asks before beginning to shake
Oh boy...this couldn't be good.
A bright light flashes and the small red curse that once seemed wildly weak had transformed into a winged creature of sorts.
"I am Dagon." It declares
"Do you know how many frames there are in a second of animation?" Naobito asks
Great...he's going to blab about his technique now.
"If you're going to run your mouth, then you can fight it alone." You declare, not interested in assisting him
"Fine by me," Noabito says
Your focus recenters on Maki. This curse's transfigured form could be dangerous. She'd be the first to die if it really wanted to go all out so you'll have to keep a close eye on her.
You'd never admit it but Naobito's technique was impressive. Being able to break down an enemy's moves was certainly valuable. You watch carefully as Naobito punches and kicks away at Dagon who seems unable to get a decent hit on the old Zenin leader. You made no move to stop Maki as she swung at the curse, after all you knew Dagon would focus on the ones who could deal heavier damage.
"Don't you plan on helping?" Nanami called
"Yeah, yeah. I was kind of hoping Naobito would get beat up a little more though." You sigh, unsheathing your sword.
Eight of them. Eight phantoms is the number that you can control easily. Any more and they break away from your main mindset. By creating too many they gain their own willpower and goals, something like that can be deadly.
For example, if 25 Phantoms are created, only eight at a time will listen to your main body's orders. The others will access and act on what's going on around them at their own whims. If they become too free and learn to use their techniques, they can infinitely multiply and there'd be nothing you could do to stop them.
"Guess I'll start with three tonight. Let's see what you got, Dagon."
You'll start with 3 duplicates for now.
"Surround it. Hold it down." Your commands are instantly carried out as they each draw their swords to match you and begin moving towards Dagon.
"No!" Dagon calls as he takes a hard blow from Noabito
Suddenly the scenery changes from the station to a sunny beach. Damn it, this must be its domain.
Suddenly, two of your duplicates are cut down, they melt away and the last one remains to your right, awaiting orders. A nasty cut on its leg bleeds but it isn't anything fatal so it remains intact.
"Zenin-san!" Nanami's voice calls for you
A sharp pain fills your body as warm blood begins to trickle down your torso. Shit, did he just cut your intestines?
The harsher your wounds, the harder it would be to create a strong duplicate.
A barrage of different creatures are flying towards you now, almost like they're in slow motion.
Nanami said not to go all out...very well, you'll just have to push yourself to the limit of your control. There's no reason not to create 8 duplicates, even if they're hard to control.
"Get me to him." You order four of them
"The rest of you protect Maki." You say
She'll be the first to fall if you all stay in the domain for too long. Naobito's technique was protecting him and you were sure Nanami had enough strength to hold out until you were able to deal the finishing blow. Your duplicates were weaker than normal, and you sent the weaker ones to watch over Maki, you'd have to finish this fast and then get to Shoko, the bleeding from your stomach hadn't stopped yet.
"You're the weakest." Dagon declared, ignoring your charge and rushing Maki
Shit. This damn stomach injury was slowing you down. Without it, you're sure you would've been able to kill him by now.
"Maki!" A voice calls from the ocean
Megumi! Wasn't he with Itadori?
You grin as you see that Megumi has brought Maki her special-grade cursed tool. Good, with her safe that means you can make your attempt again.
With four duplicates left, Dagon is moving toward Megumi who seems to be trying to break the domain open. Those creatures Dagon likes are the perfect path to him.
Your stomach burns as you slice down a creature in your way. Nanami has moved to protect Megumi.
Heh, Megumi's going to break a hole in the domain at this rate. Maki and Noabito are behind you, ready for a quick escape. It's true none of you stand a chance like this.
Shit if only you had dodged when Nanami called to you. Three of your duplicates are dead and one remains as you call her to your side, ready to slip through the hole.
A gurgle sounds and before anyone can make a move a flash of white meets your eyes and a dead man enters the domain.
Toji Zenin is alive and well as he enters with a sinister-sounding laugh.
You watch wide-eyed as Toji uses Maki's cursed tool to attack Dagon.
"Who is that?" Maki asks
You're too shocked to answer as you watch the ghost easily overpower Dagon.
Satoru didn't let him go right? No...this was something different.
"Noabito how's he here?" You ask
"I don't know. He's been dead for years." Noabito says
Great, always so helpful.
"He's our best bet right now," Nanami says
Damnit. What kind of special-grade sorcerer were you? Getting injured and relying on some ghost to finish off a curse for you. If only you had infinity like Satoru then you wouldn't have to worry about cuts.
"It's alright. You'll have another chance to prove yourself." Nanami says, "Focus on keeping pressure on your stomach."
You glance down to see your normally dark clothes even darker with your blood.
"I'll help you get to Shoko," Nanami says, wrapping a big arm under your shoulders for support
Shit when did he get so muscular? Damn male puberty, you wished you had gotten to grow that big!
"Speak for yourself, You look just as bad as me." You say, watching as Toji sets himself up for a finishing move.
"Thanks, I love getting nice compliments from you" Nanami smiles
Before you can blink or comprehend Nanami's mood change, you're released from the domain, Dagon's body is slowly disappearing and Toji stands victorious over it.
Noabito looks ready to call out to the ghost, hopefully, to see how the hell he's alive again. You let your weight slump against Nanami, glad he's there to hold you up, even if he's badly injured himself.
It's like it happens in slow motion before your eyes. Toji crosses the room and his fist whirls back to slam into an unsuspecting Megumi. Glass shatters as Nanami holds you from running after them.
"You'd lose. We have to heal you first." He says, "Megumi will be fine."
You hate that he's right.
"Fine then lets get to Shoko and-"
The scent of singed flesh hits your nose and cuts you off, before you know it Nanami is shoving you away from him.
"It's alright." He says when he sees the fear in your eyes
Your eyes find his as your last duplicate moves in front of you to protect you. The last thing you see is the fire that covers your last close friend from your teenage years.
The hot blaze from the fire dries the tears that threaten to fall from your eyes as your head hits the floor, your duplicate is there, you'll have to leave everything to her.
May 2005
"Did you hear about the new student that's joining us? They're from the Zenin clan." Haibara asks as they walk toward their classroom
"Yes, I was there when the announcement was made." Nanami reminds
"Yeah, I know, I'm just excited. I hope they can get along with the second years. It would suck if we all had to stop hanging out together." Haibara says
"I dunno. Seeing Gojo less actually sounds appealing." Nanami says
"Yeah but wouldn't you miss Geto-san?" Haibara asks
"Maybe. He's better than Gojo." Nanami admits as he takes his usual seat, casting a glance at the new desk that has been added to the room
Yaga enters soon after and behind him a small form follows, practically hiding itself behind their muscular teacher.
"Introduce yourself," Yaga says
Nanami watches as the figure stops its hiding and introduces herself. Pretty hair catches his eye as she sits down next to him.
"Hello."
It's in this moment that Nanami knows you are going to be at the center of his attention from now until forever.
July 2006
"Is it possible to die from lack of ice cream?" You groan from your spot on the floor
"It would certainly be a new way to die," Nanami says, as sweat trickles down the back of his neck.
"What the hell is taking Haibara so long? The corner store is only 10 minutes away!" You whine covering your face with a towel that had been wet with cool water.
Nanami is equally uncomfortable and overheated as you but for a slightly different reason. It was the hottest day of the year, of course, you were entitled to wear a tank top and shorts, he'd never want to limit what you dressed yourself in. After all it was your body, not his.
The big issue was that the amount of skin you were showing was hypnotizing to the 16-year-old boy. It's not like he was trying to only focus on the way your body looked, it's just that his eyes kept drifting over there!
"Sorry, it took so long! I dropped my wallet on the way there!" Haibara greeted as he pushed your dorm room's door open
"Next time send a text. I thought I was going to die." You say, immediately reaching for your ice cream
"Are you alright, Nanami you look a little red..."Haibara observes
"I'm fine." He lied, keeping his eyes away from you.
August 2007
Nanami isn't sure what to do. You called him here probably so you didn't have to be alone but what should he say? He felt frozen as he took in your appearance.
To keep it short, you were a mess. Used tissues were on your overflowing nightstand and you were wrapped up under your blankets. Were you even aware he had entered the room?
"Hey..." He said quietly
"Nanami." You greet, turning over to face him from your blanket mountain
"How are you?" He asked awkwardly as he sat down on the floor next to you so his face was even with yours as you lay in bed.
"Terrible." You say quietly
"Me too." He agrees
"You look better than me." You observe
"I got most of my tears out already." He explains, thinking back to the long shower he had taken
You let out a soft hum of acknowledgment and your hand appears from your blanket burrito. Without thinking Nanami takes it in his bigger one.
"It sounds stupid to say but he's in a better place now." Nanami assures
He hated when Geto said that to him earlier but now it was the only thing he could find in his muddled brain.
"It still hurts though." You say
"...I know."
September 2007
The sun was setting when he finally caught up to you. He was worried when you ran off after he read the report about Geto to you. A warm breeze fills his lungs as he watches the scene in front of him unfold.
You hand Gojo a lollipop and settle down next to him on the stairs. It's inappropriate but jealousy burns hot in his stomach as he watches Gojo rest his head on your shoulder.
"I'm sure you'll see him again. Even if it's not for a long time, you'll talk to each other again." You say
"Yeah, I hope so," Gojo responds
Nanami watches as your eyes remain fixed on the saddened white-haired sorcerer. He understands now, Kento Nanami understands that no matter how he chases after you, your eyes will always be fixed on something far up ahead. Satoru Gojo has won you from him and there's nothing he can do to stop it.
February 2015
Nanami isn't sure why he agrees to babysitting the kids you and Gojo took in. Perhaps its because they're fun to be around, not that he'd ever admit it.
"Can we watch a fun movie tonight?" Tsumiki asks
"Yes. If you finish your dinner." He responds as he drives, "And all your vegetables."
"Can we watch Hotel Transylvania?" Megumi asks
"No!" Tsumiki groans
Nanami tunes out the Fushiguro siblings as they launch into a debate about what movies are good and which ones aren't. Apparently, Hotel Transylvania has been dubbed dumb by Tsumiki.
His mind wanders to you and how you smiled and thanked him for helping out tonight. He said it was no problem and reminded you they were welcome any time at his house so that you and Gojo could get some alone time.
He doesn't know why he said that, especially since he easily figured out what kind of night you had planned judging by the racey dress you had on when you walked the kids out. Seriously he thought he'd be feeling some sort of jealousy but instead, he was just enamored with you.
Maybe he just wants to feel useful to you. Afterall, your recent promotion to Special Grade Sorcerer has left him feeling rather weak compared to you, like he wouldn't really be of use if you were ever in real danger. Because if you couldn't win a fight, how would he? Being a rank lower than you it would be impossible.
As he drives Nanami decides that if there were ever real danger, he'd hope that he would be able to keep you safe from harm, even if it were just for a second. Yes, he'd be satisfied with something as small as that.
11:14 pm- Dogenzaka, in front of Shibuya 109
He feels a sense of accomplishment as doom looks him in the face. The curse in front of him doesn't scare him, even as he understands that this will be it.
You had been perfectly unharmed when he woke up before he walked all the way down here. Your duplicate must've taken the fire from the curse that had touched him. She had done her job well and Nanami wished he could thank her. Of course, it never would've occurred if he hadn't pushed you away from him. For once he was glad he let you go. After all, there were so many times from before that he hadn't.
One day he'll meet you again. Perhaps then he'll tell you his true feelings until then though you'd have to wait. It was only fair, considering how long he had waited for you.
"Itadori, you've got it from here."

Body Swap || Part 2/2
Part 1 ||
Pairings: Legend, Time, Twilight, Warrior x Reader
Overview: A wizard's spell leaves you both in a state of confusion, especially upon realizing you're no longer in your assigned bodies. No Wind for this one, so we'll just give him a cookie and spare him the trauma for today -.-/🍪 The other boys are at my mercy, though
Zelda Masterlist 💙Fandom Masterlist
Tumblr media
Panic ensues nearly the second your situation becomes realized. Legend frantically tugs at his hair and clothing, hoping this to be some sort of illusion cast by that wizard, however his senses only confirm his fears: you've switched bodies.
You're him and he's you which probably shouldn't be as big of a deal as he makes it out to be considering how much worse this could've gone, after all, a greater enemy might've caused actual harm, yet that doesn't stop him from being upset.
Out of everyone this could've happened with - out of all nine of his traveling companions - why did this have to happen with you, the only girl in the group?! Nevermind that you're also his crush!
"I can't believe this..." He groans, picking at another strand of hair and holding it in front of his face. Alas, the color isn't the same as his usual faded pink, "Give me back my body!"
You whip your head around at Legend's demand, finding yourself mildly offended by it which is shown through the placement of your hands on your hips, "Don't you think I would if I could? Like it or not, I think we're stuck like this –"
"- Are you kidding me -?!"
"- Until the spell either wears off or we find a way to reserve it," You narrow your eyes when he interrupts. Standing, you dust yourself while he copies the action except with some added complaints and curses mumbled under his breath.
"I can't believe this. Of course, this is how my day would end. I can't ever catch a break, can I?! The others are never going to let this go. It's all we're going to hear about for the next week!"
"Geeze, I didn't know a day in my body would be so terrible for you."
Legend frowns, not intending to make you feel bad. It's not like you asked for any of this yourself. You’re equally as inconvenienced. It's just...reeeally weird and uncomfortable knowing that he's technically you right now. He's currently in the body of the girl he finds most attractive and sometimes daydreams about –
"I'm sure you're not having any more fun than I am. Let's just get out of here and find a solution as fast as possible, okay?" Legend hastily grabs your hand, intending on getting you both out of this dungeon before you can notice the redness to his cheeks (at least, he's sure he'd be blushing if in his own body right now. Is it even visible on your cheeks, though?), however almost as soon as he pulls, he's nearly thrown back against your unmoving weight.
Kill him now. He isn't used to not having his power bracelets.
"Did you...want me to follow you?"
"...Obviously..."
"Do you also want me to hold your hand so you don't get lost?" You give his hand a squeeze, all the while wearing a shit-eating grin that makes his face even warmer than before.
"...Forget it and fuck off," With that, he drops your hand and marches off, yet you aren't far behind, chasing after him while clearly having too much fun with his reaction.
"You know, this is usually the point when you ask me if I'm on my time of month! Is that your problem, Vet? You're already hormonal after just a few minutes in a girl's body?"
Has his laugh always been this obnoxious? Does he owe Warrior an apology?
Tumblr media
"...Well, this is troublesome."
Your eye twitches after Time's calm 'evaluation' of the situation, "...'Troublesome'? You THINK?! You know, when I woke up this morning, I did not expect to end up becoming a sixty-year-old man -!"
"- Sixty? Is that how old you think I am?"
"Well, you act like it sometimes!" You defend, huffing at the end of your sentence before trying to rise onto your feet which still feel wobbly due to that wizard's spell. It takes you a second - and you almost tumble forward like a newborn giraffe, causing you to start swinging your arms around in a desperate attempt to regain balance - but eventually you do succeed in the basic human function called 'standing', "We need to find the Veteran. This is his stupid world, so I'm blaming him for this happening!"
Time, meanwhile, takes pity upon you by letting your previous comment slide. Unlike you, he easily gets to his feet as if ending up in someone else's body is an everyday occurrence for him. His new height is something you take immediate notice of, mentally noting how strange it is to be looking down at someone – let alone him – from so far up. Is this how it always feels for him? No wonder he took on the mantel of being the 'dad' of the group so quickly. You all probably look like literal children to him!
"Thank Hylia we camped close to the dungeon. The others should be getting ready for dinner at this point, so they'll all be in attendance to take joy in our misery," You smile sarcastically with a wave of your hand, however you only take a few steps forward before turning around and realizing that Time isn't following you. His face also looks rather...alarmed?
"...You okay there?"
He hums and gives you an awkward thumbs up, yet that doesn't change his expression any nor does he immediately move to follow you. He simply stands there, his face bright with embarrassment until he finally clears his throat, "I...think I might've had an accident?"
"An 'accident'...?" You scrunch your nose, needing a moment to understand what he could possibly mean. Did he just piss himself as you? You would've thought he'd have more self-control even if he isn’t technically himself. Sure, it might be scary opening your eyes to find yourself in someone else's body, but it's not that scary to warrant - ...Oooh...You get what he means now...
When the realization sinks in, you can feel your own face grow warm. You had forgotten all about that, "Oh shit. I, um...Yeah that's not – It's harmless, really. You'll be fine, it's just -...You know what, just don't worry about, okay? Let's focus on getting ourselves switched back around first. You, uh...gonna be okay dealing with it for now?"
Sympathy laces your voice, however it isn’t exactly strong enough to hide your embarrassment. Seriously, could this get anymore modifying? You weren't trying to think about the whole 'my-crush-is-currently-in-my-body' thing, but you definitely can't ignore it now! Out of all the days of the month this could happen - How embarrassing for you both!
Fortunately, Time, ever the brave gentlemen, nods, that be it slowly and unsurely, "If you can do it your whole life, I can manage for a day..."
"That's the spirit!" Please, please, please say Legend knows a solution for this because you will absolutely die if you have to talk Time through a 'change' of certain materials tonight.
Tumblr media
“Oh no…”
“What do you mean by ‘oh no’? What happened? Are you hurt?” Twilight’s voice – which doesn’t really sound like his own – gets progressively more concerned by each question until he finally manages to escape the wall of smoke around him. Once finally receiving a clear view of his hands, he suddenly understands the meaning behind your less-than-thrilled expression.
“That’s what I mean by ‘oh no’,” You frown, watching as he flips his hands around front and back to confirm the notable difference he sees. It would be difficult to ignore how much smaller and smoother they’ve gotten…or to turn a blind eye to all the other major variations throughout the entirely of his body.
“Has anything like this happened to you before?” Whatever surprise you have towards your shared predicament is either quickly recovered from or masked well, because you don’t hesitate to pick yourself up and start collecting your fallen belongings – or rather Twilight’s – from the ground.
“Can’t say it has. I’m guessin’ you’re in the same boat?”
“Yeah, this is the first time I can knock ‘switching bodies’ off the bingo board,” You shake your head, pausing to watch him stand as well, “I know Wind mentioned being able to control other people’s bodies or something like that before. ‘not sure if it’s the same or if he’d know how to fix this.”
“Even if not, we’re in Legend’s world. He’d have to know some kind of solution,” Twilight sighs, going to place a hand on his hip out of habit, but he instantly decides against it in a quick movement he hopes wasn't too obviously. Even if he's consciously in this body, it's still yours. Touching his hip now would be no different from touching your hip any other time which is NOT a friendly place for hands to be! At least that's what his awkward brain tells him.
Trying not to dwell too much on any of that, he makes himself useful by plucking your dropped sword off the ground and returning it to your scabbard the same way you had done with his before reaching down to grab -
“- Don’t touch that!” You’re startled to a halt by Twilight’s sudden shout and turn to give him a puzzled look as he gulps while eyeing the shadow shard you were inches away from picking up next, “It, uh…It’s sharp.”
You narrow your eyes suspiciously at him, and for a second he’s worried he might just have to tackle you to prevent you from touching the object in question (which now that he’s considering it, would probably only be as effective as a sparrow attacking a horse seeing as you’ve switched bodies not to mention you’d only have more reason to question him in that case but -)
“- All you Links are such terrible liars,” You huff after a minute. Nevertheless, you step aside and allow Twilight to pick up the necklace himself. He’s careful to only touch the string and tuck it securely in a pocket because the very last thing he needs added to this day is you finding out one of his greatest secrets by literally becoming it yourself which would then undoubtably lead to his second greatest secret being discovered, after all, it's one thing for a random wolf to let you give him kisses free of charge, but there'll be a lot more to unravel there if you find out it's been your travel companion the whole time.
Tumblr media
"Okay. Try not to panic. There has to be some way to reverse this - ARE YOU CHECKING ME OUT RIGHT NOW?!"
Warrior jumps with a start after having been caught, although he must not be too embarrassed because he doesn’t immediately remove his hands from their place on his hips nor does he show much shame in currently having his body turned at an angle to look at his – or more importantly – your back side, “What?! You do it to yourself all the time!”
"T-That’s not - When I'm in my own body!” You stammer, blushing at the realization that you apparently haven’t been as subtle with your habit of checking your own appearance here and there, “Excuse me if I don’t want to walk around looking like a mess with dirt and leaves stuck to my backside! I’m not over here looking at your dick!”
"I hardly think you can equate that to an ass," He deadpans.
"Well, I'm not looking at your ass, either, pervert!"
At last, something you say seems to get to him, your words causing Warrior to bow his head with a pout and that shared discomfort he should’ve had from the beginning, “I’m not a pervert. If it’s such a big deal, then you can come over here and fix the backside of this tunic. It’s riding up on me and it’s driving me crazy.”
You blink then glance around him to notice that your tunic is indeed all out of sorts, one end lifted and tucked in your belt. It must’ve gotten stuck that way during your fight with that wizard…Now you just feel like an idiot…
“…Oh.”
“Oh,” Warrior mocks with a roll of his eyes, not saying much else – perhaps out of pity - as he waits for you to help fix the tunic correctly, although truthfully he’s just busy redirecting his eyes and cursing himself internally for not having explained the situation from the start. He maybe-kinda spaced the fact that he’s currently in your body and didn’t consider the implications of what it would look like for you to see him fussing over your back end. How were you to know he was simply fixing your tunic? He really did probably look like a massive pervert.
“There,” You finally step away.
“Thanks,” He coughs into his fist awkwardly with his opposite hand rubbing the back of his neck. Even in a different body, he carries the same nervous habits, “Uh, sorry. I didn’t mean to –“
“- No. No, you’re fine. I, uh, should’ve had more trust in you," You mumble, running a hand over your hot face before shaking your head. You need to get it together, "Come on. Let's just get out of here and find a way to fix this before any other misunderstandings can happen."
Warrior nod and follows after you out of the dungeon without another word to be said. He won't say it aloud - He refuses to even admit it to himself because he's supposed to be a gentleman and what if you've suddenly become a mind reader?...But if you were to for some reason ask his opinion, you do in fact have a fine ass.

Apology Cassian x Female Reader
Warnings: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Language, Fluff
"You're a grown woman! How about you try acting like it instead of losing your shit over the smallest thing!" Cassian shouted. Your bottom lip quivered as you struggled to keep it together. "Seriously?! You're seriously going to cry now!" You hated how you were reacting. "I don't need this right now." You said, trying to hold yourself together and not give him the satisfaction of your tears. You didn't want to be anywhere near him. You took off towards the river house, not sure where else to go.
You stood at the doorstep and knocked, second guessing yourself. They were his family after all. Maybe they'd think you were being overly dramatic. Before you could change your mind, Feyre answered the door. She took one look at you and pulled you in for a hug. As soon as she hugged you, you fell apart. She gently guided you inside to one of the spare rooms. Rhys took Nyx into the kitchen to get a snack and give you some privacy.
Feyre offered you some tissues and gave you some time to calm down. She sat with you and tried comforting you the best she could. After a while, Rhys gently knocked on the door and brought you a glass of water before going back to playing with his son. "Can you tell me what happened?" Feyre asks. "He hates me." You say as tears pool in your eyes again. "He thinks I'm pathetic and weak and overly emotional." You continue. "Oh, sweetheart. I don't think he thinks that about you." She says, trying to reassure you. "Yes, he does." You say.
"Start at the beginning." She says softly. "Cassian has been in a mood since he returned from Windhaven yesterday, so I gave him space to decompress." You tell her. "Well, this morning, my cycle started, and I shielded the bond so I wouldn't bother him. Usually, it's not bad until the 2nd day. I went to work and dealt with that plus had several customers yell at me for being out of stock on some books. Then when I came home I went to change shirts and the chain on my necklace broke. My grandma gave me that necklace before she died, and well, that was the cherry on my horrible sundae." You say.
"Cassian found me crying over my broken necklace and started yelling at me." She hugs you again as the tears fall from recounting your awful day. "Sweetheart, I'm so sorry you had to deal with all of that. Surely, it couldn't have been that bad with Cassian." She says. "See for yourself." You say lowering your mental shields. You feel the gentle caress before she enters and sees your argument with Cassian. Once she's out, you put your shields back up. "I can't believe he would act like that!" She says, angry at Cassian's actions and words.
A moment later, Nyx runs into the room, "Auntie y/n!" He says excitedly. "Hey buddy!" You say smiling through the last of your tears. "Mommy, auntie is sad." He says, looking at Feyre. "Uncle Cassian wasn't very nice to auntie y/n." She says. Nyx wraps his arms around your neck, "I hug and make all better." He says. You hug him back, "Thank you, buddy. You're such a good kid." You tell him. Rhys walks in, "Come on, Nyx, let mommy and auntie have some more time." He says, giving you an apologetic smile. You release your nephew and ruffle his hair, "We'll play later, buddy." He smiles and nods before running out of the room.
"You know you're always welcome to stay here." Feyre says. "I know." You answer. "I was hoping to stay tonight at least. If you want to go out with Rhys, I can watch Nyx for you." You offer. "You don't have to do that." She says. "I know, I want to, though. You should go out and have a date night. I'd love to spend time with Nyx to keep me distracted. "We'll take you up on that offer." Rhys says from the doorway. "Rhys!" Feyre scolds him. "It's fine, really. I insist." You say. "Alright, but if he gets to be too much, let us know." She says reluctantly. "He's never too much. Now go get ready, both of you." You tell them.
You walk into the living room and sit on the floor with Nyx. "Hey, how do you feel about spending the evening your favorite auntie." You ask with a smile. "Can we play games?" He asks excitedly. "We can do anything you want." You tell him. Before you can blink, he grabs a game and starts setting it up. "Alright, it's only dinner, so we shouldn't be gone long." Feyre says as she enters the living room. "Take your time, enjoy the night." You say, "Nyx is in good hands." Feyre kisses him on the top of his head. "Nyx be good for auntie y/n." She says. "Thanks again." Rhys says before ushering Feyre out the door.
You and nyx turn your attention back to the game and start playing. You take it easy on him and let win a couple of times. You fix a quick and easy dinner. After dinner, you play a few more games before getting comfortable on the couch so Nyx can settle down before bed. You start reading one of his books he brought over for you to read to him. You smile as you watch him fight his sleep. A knock at the door has Nyx off the couch and running to answer it. "Nyx, wait. Let me answer it, buddy!" You say as you catch up to him. You check to see who it is before reluctantly opening the door.
"Uncle Cassian!!" Nyx says excitedly as Cassian steps inside. "Hey, little man." He greets his nephew, giving him a hug. Nyx hugs him back. "What are you doing here, Cass?" You ask, trying to be calm for Nyx's sake. "I was hoping we could talk about earlier." He says. Nyx stands in front of you with his arms crossed. "Mommy said you were mean to auntie y/n, and that's why she's sad." Cassian kneels down to Nyx's height, "I was mean to auntie, but I've come to apologize and try to fix it." He says. "You better not make her cry, mister." Nyx says full of attitude. You can't help but smile at him standing up for you. "I don't think now is really the best time, Nyx and I were in the middle of reading, then it's his bedtime."
"Please, give me a chance to talk to you. I can wait til after bedtime." He says. "What do you think, Nyx?" You ask. He tugs your shirt until you're kneeling in front of him before he starts whispering in your ear. You whisper back and forth a few times before standing again. "Auntie y/n said you can stay, but I'm watching you." Nyx says. "Come on, let's go finish the story, buddy." You say. Nyx takes your hand as you walk back to the living room. He sticks his tongue out at Cassian, clearly enjoying that Cass is in trouble with you. You snuggle up on the couch with Nyx while Cassian sits in the chair, watching and listening.
You finish the story as Nyx yawns for the 5th time. "Alright, buddy, I think it's time for bed. You take him upstairs and make sure he brushes his teeth before getting changed into pjs. You tuck him in and turn out the light, "Goodnight, Nyx, sweet dreams."Goodnight auntie y/n. Love you." You smile, "love you too, buddy." You close his door and brace yourself for what's waiting downstairs. You walk back into the living room and find Cassian cleaning up the toys and books. "You didn't have to do that. I was going to get them when I came back." You say picking up a few toys and putting them away.
"I figured I might as well help, and it's one less thing you could use as an excuse to delay talking to me." He says as he puts the rest of the books on the shelf. "Can you blame me for not wanting to do this now? Especially with Nyx upstairs trying to sleep." You say as you sit on the couch, watching as Cass sits in the chair across from you. "I know I shouldn't have acted like I did, and I definitely shouldn't have said what I said." Your body tenses at the mention of his words. "I let my anger and frustration from work carry over into our personal life, and I took it out on you. You didn't deserve that, especially after the day you had." He starts to apologize.
"The day I had?" You ask, knowing you didn't even get a chance to tell Cassian about your day before he was yelling at you. "Yeah, you had a rough enough day dealing with everything, and then instead of making it better, I only made it worse."And how rough was my day, Cassian?" You ask, sounding annoyed. "Well, the start of your cycle, dealing with rude customers and then your necklace breaking." He says, looking confused at you. "Rhys or Feyre?" You ask. "What?" He replies, looking even more confused. "Who told you, Rhys or Feyre?" He runs his fingers through his hair, "Rhys." He says.
"Of course, so that's why you're here and why he was so eager to accept my offer to watch Nyx. You can leave now." You move to get up, but he gently grabs your wrist. "Please, I know I screwed up, and I'm trying to fix it. Please stay and talk to me." He says. Just then, the front door opens, and Feyre and Rhys walk in, laughing and smiling. Feyre's face falls when she sees you and Cassian. You break free of Cassians' grip and make your way towards the door, "Nyx is in bed hopefully asleep." You tell Feyre before turning your attention to Rhys, "fuck you, I'm done." You walk out the door and take off before anyone can stop you.
"What the hell just happened?" Feyre asks, looking between Rhys and Cassian. "I came to apologize, and well, you see how well that worked out." Cassian says. "What does that have to do with Rhys?" She asks. "I may have given him insight as to why she was upset." Rhys says. "And now she thinks I only apologized because Rhys told me to. "You two need to fix this, not for your sake but for hers. Cassian, just be honest with her and don't just apologize with words but apologize with actions. As for you, quit meddling in things that don't concern you." She says pointedly at Rhys. "Now go find her and fix this." Feyre says to Cassian. "Mother knows she's going to need you when her cycle really hits her." Feyre says.
The wind was cool against your skin as you stood on the bridge watching the calming water of the Sidra. You lean on the railing and watch as a tear falls into the water below. Your stomach twists in a cruel knot, causing you to double over. Once it passes enough, you manage to sit on the bench. You take in a deep breath, gently rubbing your stomach. "This is for you." Cassian says, handing you a small box. "So now you're trying to buy my forgiveness with presents? Why can't you understand..."Shut up and open the box." He says. "Some piece of jewelry isn't going to change anything..." You say as you flip open the box and move the tissue paper.
You're stunned into silence as you pull the necklace out. "I had it repaired after you stormed out, realizing it wasn't just some necklace but the most important necklace to you. I had it repaired before Rhys contacted me. I was going to apologize on my own. When you let down your shield, you let down the one around the bond and flooded me with all the pain, the anger, and the sadness you had kept pent up all day. I should've realized it was the start of your cycle, but I was too caught up in myself to notice. Now, will you let me take you home and take care of you like you deserve, or are you going to keep thinking you know everything and being stubborn?" He says with a laugh. You stand up and kiss him like you've been wanting to all day. He returns your kiss.
"Take me home, please." You say with a smile. "You don't have to tell me twice." Cassian says, picking you up and flying you home. Once inside, he takes you to the bathroom, "Now let me take care of you." He says as he leads you inside. You notice the gift basket of your favorite candles, oils, and candy. He starts filling the tub and adds your favorite oils and bubbles for you. He helps you undress before undressing himself. You can't help but admire him as he steps in the tub before helping you in.
He pulls you into his lap so your backs to his chest. "Just relax, babe. I'm going to take good care of you." He says softly as he starts massaging your shoulders and back, gently working his way along your body. His strong hands combined with the hot water had you feeling like heaven. Your aches and pains seemed to fade away. After thoroughly massaging you, he held you close and carefully started feeding you chocolates. You smiled and relaxed against him. "If this is how we make up, maybe we should fight more often." You tease. "Or we could skip the fighting, and I could spoil you more." He says. "That works, too." You say before kissing him.

Coming back home to Monaco always brought a sour smile to her face. She loved growing up in this strange small town where everyone knew each other and celebrities came to show off and then went back to wherever, to tell stories of Monte Carlo.
They say that you get to experience three very different real loves in your lifetime - and only if you're lucky, it would be with the same person. Her first love was Charles Leclerc.
I saw you lookin' brand new overnight I caught you lookin' too, but you didn't look twice
Visiting family was the reason why she always came back, but going out with the few girls from high school who stayed there was a treat she dared not to miss. There is just something about hanging out with those people who helped one buy the first eyeshadow and with whom she pregamed at one of their step dad's dermatology office before going on trying to get into any club that would allow minors in. So there she was once again, at the old time spot, having a harder time to hold her alcohol since she'd passed the magic non hangover years. And to her luck, he walked in only a bare half an hour later than her.
Whenever she saw him, even after those years, it was like everyone else had dissapeared from the room. He seemed to age like wine.
It's 3 AM and the moonlight's testing me I know that you've been holding on to someone else And now I can't sleep
"Come here to me," she teased, moving closer to him. He tried to stop her and playfully pushed himself the furthest away possible the couch would allow. "Charlie, let me see!" she insisted and sat on top of him. She had to act quickly, there would be no way for her to keep the upper hand. He was just turning eighteen soon and the time in gym was starting to bring back results. "I do not have any hairline, Y/N," he gasped, annoyed. His tone changed. Back then she interpreted it as just him being done with her shit. Looking at it now, there probably was a different reason why he became more stiff. She sat on him, going through his hair and taking few photos, blissfully unaware. "I'll show this to you in a few years and we'll see! Ha!" Charles eyes were shooting arrows in her direction. She looked back at him, curious and not grasping the moment in the same way as he did. "What?" she asked simply. "Nothing..."
I can see you standing, honey With his arms around your body Laughin', but the joke's not funny at all
She laughed a bit at that memory as she sipped her drink and tried her best to avoid keeping looking back at him as he sat with his current friends and an absolute gorgeous girl laughing at his joke. She knew who she was. Sometimes she peaked at his socials and then blocked him again right away. She certainly knew he had her blocked.
They went to different schools and Charles had his racing activities anyway. So they'd spent a lot of time texting. A lot.
It was just one of the horrifically long school days where she doubted the point of her existence. Life had to be more than sitting in a pointless computer science class. She wanted to be a big lawyer girl boss one day, so why would she ever care about programming. There she was, staring at the assignment from the teacher who was stuck in 20th century anyway, having little to no clue what to do. As she'd usually do, she texted Charles. Bombed him with twenty texts demanding attention, before he finally responded. "OMG i thought someone had died" "i am dying charles" "no your not" "*you're" "i can go back to my race simulator if you keep being a little shit" "nooo, please dont go. you're my only hope. sorry, your. i get it, you got out of the school too early." "that's it, i'm gone" "noo, please stay, I'll be nice and say nice things about you" "i'm staying, go on" "you are absolutely gorgeous" "yes, agree. more" "you are soo funny, amazing, future heart breaker and your passion for racing is so inspiring" "i like this. more"
Second, third, and hundredth chances Balancin' on breaking branches Those eyes add insult to injury
They were inseparable, yet nobody knew. Always meeting alone, because they did not need anyone and their social circles didn't really meet together. Whenever he was back in town, the two of them would hit up their favorite café or hang out at his house and then go for a walk. The two of them walked around Monte Carlo as if they were suppose to be the cartographers creating the first map of that area ever. Those were the good old days that came to end very unexpectedly.
We always walked a very thin line You didn't even hear me out (Didn't even hear me out) You never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs)
His hands were shaking when he sent the email. But he just could not take it anymore. He was over the moon in love with her and didn't know how to contain it.
"there is no easy way to say this. i love you. sorry. i'm stupid and i know we're just friends. but i basically live only for racing and seeing you. i'm terrified of seeing you with someone else. if there is at least a cell in your body that feels the same, please let's meet up and talk about it. if not, do not reply and i will never mention this again and deal with it. i love you."
She was seventeen when she got his message out of the blue. A scared little girl who was petrified of feelings and anything relationship related. So she never replied to his email.
All this time I never learned to read your mind I couldn't turn things around (I couldn't turn things around) 'Cause you never gave a warning sign (You never gave a warning sign)
Charles had a very little hope that she'd feel the same - why would she, such an amazing person, kind, fun and totally glorified in his eyes, so he could not even imagine him being worthy of her. But what if? What if he was enough? With every day when she did not respond to his email, his heart sank lower. Still, the pain of the first rejection is a hard one to take, because it's usually from a scared unexperienced heart to another and the clumsiness causes great deal of accidental collateral damage one remembers until the end of their life.
You're not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now? You were my town, now I'm in exile, seein' you out
She texted him from school few days after that - a normal text, as if nothing happened. Both of them were too chicken to address the situation openly. So he opted for buring his feeling and she for playing like she had no idea. Deep down, she always knew, even before he emailed her. They texted, continued to meet up. But it was never the same again.
Flashing back to New York City I was done, but you undid me Classic me to run when it feels right
It was hard to get closure for her. After all that had happened and the mess the two made for each other was a hard lesson she remembered vividly. She glanced at your first love again - and finally she met his look, after almost two years of managing to missing each other while they were both back in Monaco. She'd daydreamed about bumping into him, the two chatting and smiling again. The world stopped again for few moments. He shot her an unsure quick half smile that said it all. She knew him too well for that.
And now I wish we never met 'Cause you're too hard to forget While I'm cleaning up your mess I know he's taking off your dress
It was her prom night and she could not be more excited. All her friends were here, family, even Charles managed to get in town to watch her dance and drink all night. She had the night of her life, perfect end to end this chapter of life. The excitement her eyes held was contagious. She spent the first half of her evening with the family and Charles, sharing few dances and laughs. If felt like the good old days. But one shot of tequila led to another and there she was, drunk as pirate and unhinged like a teenage girl. Charles did his best to keep her parents at bay, keep them occupied while he got one of his friends to take care of her. He was worried she might do something stupid, like walk up to the stage and fall down breaking all of her bones. Finally, her parents decided to leave without having to saying goodbye to her after Charles spent a good half an hour convincing them she was just in the back stage and that he'd get her home safe. When they were gone, he began to search for her, only to finally find her sitting on the stairs, making out with the friend he assigned to keep an eye on her.
So take me to every party and just talk to your friends Why don't you let me down, I'll let you do it again Go on and walk all over me, just don't walk away Give me the worst of you 'Cause I want you anyway
It was like being cut open alive and having people watch. There was nothing even remotely graceful about her actions, she was literally sitting on the floor having a battle of tongues with another drunk teenager while people had to walk pass her. It was embarrassing. Charles didn't know what to do. He wanted to run away and never come back, but he couldn't leave her there alone. He couldn't bring himself to stop the two of his friends, because he was just too sad and heartbroken to do so. He just stayed nearby and kept an eye on them. It was one of the longest nights in his life.
She couldn't remember the second half of her prom night and Charles would never speak of it, even though she begged him many times. He always became stiff and started to leave the room. She only kept asking, because it marked one of the biggest shifts in their friendships. He became cold, unresponsive and after few weeks, he stopped communicating completely.
You were my town, now I'm in exile, seein' you out I think I've seen this film before
Funny how people's faces change with years, but the eyes stay the same. The eyes and the look. Charles looked at her the second time this evening. It was like staring back at the eighteen year old boy who was drowning in his feeling.
It was one of her last nights in Monaco before leaving for university. Finally, her dreams were coming true. She was more than ready to get our to show the world she was a force to be reckoned with. She sent Charles countless messages before her final departure, at that moment, she was sure she'll never ever get back to Monaco and wanted to at least understand why he became distant. One evening, he finally agreed to meet up and talk. She was over the moon. Knowing that she could always turn Charles over, she left feeling confident - he was one the very few people she was sure shared the same soul as her. It was as if they'd never stopped talking. Jokes flying everywhere, the two of them strolling around, having no idea this would be the last time (and maybe, that was better for her at the time). There was so much to share, the two kept talking over each other for hours. Charles was happy when she finally stopped to take a breath for a moment. She looked him in the eye and saw a look she'd seen countless of times on his face. There was a shift in her mind and out of nowhere, she was kissing the boy she'd been unknowingly in love for years. She'd realize that she loved him only once she started dating a random guy from her college, expecting the same feeling Charles gave her. But it never came. Had she known, she'd have stayed with him. He tried to convince her to start dating him. Almost begged her to try it with him long distance. But there was a whole world for you to discover, places to be and versions of her that needed discovering. She had kissed only once. But it was a kiss of a lifetime. He blocked her on all socials after she rejected him again.
I never learned to read your mind (Never learned to read my mind) I couldn't turn things around (You never turned things around) 'Cause you never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs) So many signs, so many signs You didn't even see the signs
The girls were laughing at some joke she missed while digging in her memory for traces of her first love. Charles Leclerc. He was sitting few tables away from her. This time, her heart sank as he kissed his girlfriend on the cheek as they walked away from the bar. She wanted to run to him, to talk to him again after all those years. To tell him the same thing he once emailed her. To explain that she was just too young to notice she had the love of her life right next to you. But she knew all too well what his answer would be. And just like he had back then, she never wanted to hear it out loud.
And I know that you don't, but if I ask you if you love me I hope you lie, lie, lie, lie, lie to me

"Awh... are you *sure* you can handle them, Vaggie? They seem like a handful today..." Charlie spoke as she placed her hands on her girlfriends shoulders. "Don't worry, hun. I got thiissss-- NIFTY YOU PUT THAT DOWN--" Vaggie put her girlfriend to the side and snatched the knife outta Niftys hand. "Hey!!>:(" Nifty whined, jumping a little and raising her arms in an attempt to get her knife back. "I don't... trussssst her with a knifffffe..." Sir Pentious statted, backing up a little. "It's okay, boss! We'll protect you!" Frank said, jumping up and down. "You eggs couldn't do shit, even if your life depended on it." Said Husk, drinking his booze. "Now you take that back!!" Sir Pentious pointed his finger to the ceiling, hissing a little. "Ooooh! Is a fight gonna break down?~ *baby voice* Are you gonna win whiskers?~" Angel said, wrapping his arms around Husk until Husk pushed him off. "Go fuck yourself..." "Only if you WATCH me~" Angel smirked, winking at Husk, which he only got a flustered little grumble in response. "Disssssgusting!!" Sir Pentious covered his eyes and curled up his tail a bit. "That's it. Everyone outside NOW. And wait there." Vaggie instructed, throwing the knife behind her and pointing outside. The others shrugged and walked outside, leaving the couple alone.
"Ugh... they act like kids!" Vaggie said, turning around to meet with Charlie's eyes. "You'll get used to it..." Charlie smiled and kissed Vaggies cheek. "I guess... say, uh... where's Alastor and Lucifer?" Vaggie questioned, raising a brow. "They said they didn't wanna go, then Alastor pulled my dad somewhere. I-I'll find them soon enough! Probably in separate areas." Charlie said, smiling. "If you say so. I better get going. See ya." Vaggie gave her a goodbye kiss and walked out of the hotel.
"Welp... time to find--" Charlie got cut off by a shreik. She raised a brow and walked upstairs to the second floor where the library was. She walked over and took a peak inside. Man, has she never found anything cuter...
"AHAHAHAHAHALASTOHOHOR-- NAT THEHERE-- *squeal*" Lucifer squirmed in Alastors lap. "C'mon Luciferrrrr~ I promised if you'd be quiet I'd stoppppp~!" Alastor teased, spidering up Lucifers ribs. "YOHOHOHOHO'RE MAHAHAHAHAKING IT UNFAAAAHAHAHAHAIRRRR!" Lucifer whined in between his laughter. "Do you want me to switch spots?~" "YEHEHEHEHES!!" Once Lucifer said that, Alastor switched to Lucifer's stomach and sides, softly scratching at them. "Hohohoholy fuhuhuck!" Lucifer giggled, curling up a little. "You're the one who asked for this~" Alastor chuckled and lightly blew at Luci's neck. "I-I knohohow... hehehehehe!" Lucifer covered his face from blushing so much. "You know you enjoy it~" Alastor giggled a little and lightly circled around Lucifers belly button. "Nohoho teheheasing!" "No teasing? Yeah? And what of I don't? What're you gonna do about it?~" Alastor teased, lightly going up to the kings underarms. "Th-ThihihiHIS--!!" Lucifer then shot his arms up to Alastors armpits. Since the raido demon was caught off guard, he couldn't help but let giggles slip out. "H-Hehehehey! Th-Thahahahat was uncalled fohohohohor!! Nahahahaha!" Al curled his legs up a little, now just making Lucifer trapped on Al's lap. "Yeah? Was it uncalled for?~" Lucifer teased, moving up to lightly scratch behind the deers' ears. "Dohohont tehehease me-- AH-- YOU BIHIHITCH!" "Now that wasn't very nice!~" Lucifer chuckled and looked down, seeing Alastors' little tail wagging. "Awww! Do you wike it, buddyyy?~ Do you like my wittle twickles?~ Yeah?~" Lucifer teased in a baby voice, still scratching gently behind Al's ears. "FUHUHUCK!! L-LUHUHUHUCIF-- *raido static*" Alastors face flushed as he covered his eyes with his arm, which only made Lucifer giggle. "OHOHOHOHO-- I'LL GIHIHVE YOU SOMETHING TP GIHIHIGGLE ABOUT--" Alastor dug his thumbs into Lucifer's ribs making Lucifer SQUEAL, but that just made Lucifer go down to the raido demons sides. "AH FUHUHUCK-- YA BRHAHAHAT!!" Lucifer laughed, drilling and tickling Al's sides. "SAHAHAHAYS YOHOHOHOU--"
Charlie's eyes sparkled in joy. "Awh... they're getting along..." He mumbled to herself as she smiled. She decided to walk away from the scene, letting it play and die down. They'd be at it for a whole while anyway.

Porcelain Steve - Part 6
Part One🦇Part Two🦇Part Three🦇Part Four🦇Part Five🦇Part Six🦇Part Seven🦇Part Eight🦇Part Nine
Even though he's expecting company, Eddie still jumps and yelps when his front door flies open without so much as a knock, revealing Dustin and Will.
"I know I said to let yourselves in, but a warning knock would have been nice," Eddie shoots them a glare, not bothering to stand from the couch where he'd been pretending to watch whatever terrible daytime movie was playing.
"Sorry," Will apologizes sheepishly while Dustin just laughs.
"Which of your moms dropped you off? If it's Claudia, I'm filing a complaint about how you were raised."
"Har har," Dustin says, swinging his backpack off and knelling down to unzip and dig into it. "We biked here."
"Lucky you, then. The complaint will wait."
Dustin wrestles a blanket from his backpack. Unwrapping it reveals Steve, hair rumpled but otherwise unharmed. "Alright. Delivered safely. We gotta go meet El and Mike now but we'll see you on Saturday, right?"
Eddie sets Steve on the couch, angled towards the TV. "Yeah. I get the feeling if I don't show for the barbeque that Joyce will show up here and drag me there by my ear."
"She would," Will confirms with an easy shrug. The boys turn to leave before Will exclaims, "Oh! Almost forgot!" before digging into his pocket for something, turning around to give it to Eddie.
"What?"
"El and Steve spoke again. He had a lot of things to say. I spent a good portion of the last three days writing down everything as El repeated it to me. This is your letter," he says, having successfully pulled out what looked to be a folded piece of paper out of his pocket.
"Oh," Eddie takes it, and realizes it's not just one folded piece of paper, but three. "Wow."
"Seems you are Steve's second favorite," Dustin grins at him from the doorway.
"You are first, I assume?"
"No. Robin is. She got five pages."
That tracks, actually. Eddie's not surprised Robin got the most pages.
Soon enough, the boys are off and Eddie returns to the couch, pulling his legs up to sit crisscross. "Alright, Stevie, let's see what you have to say."
He unfolds the pages completely and is met with Will's now familiar penmanship scrawled across the sheets of wide rule paper that has clearly been ripped from a composition notebook. He's seen Will's handwriting plenty over this last year, quickly scribbling notes during DnD sessions and on the little item cards Will makes himself to hand out when he DMs.
Will's handwriting isn't always the neatest, but this looks like Will took time, wanted his writing to be legible. Flipping through the papers he sees it is two pages, front and back, of a letter, and the third page is a list of questions in a different, neater handwriting. He gets the feeling that Will probably didn't paraphrase anything. How many people got letters? How much of Will and El's time was devoted to doing just this?
Eddie feels emotional over this, misty-eyed and a lump in his throat, and he hasn't even read the damn letter yet.
"Shit, Stevie, do you even realize how loved you are?" Eddie asks out loud, turning to look at Porcelain Steve like he might answer him this time. Blank hazel eyes stare forward. Eddie shakes his head, to clear away his thoughts, and gets to reading. Not out loud, because he doesn't want Steve to hear how wet his voice will sound.
Eddie,
I guess the first thing I want to say is thank you. I was kind of freaking out when I first woke up like this. It was calming, that day on the lawn, after Robin and Nancy found me. You were so chill and just chatted my ear off like you would have if I were, like, there. I mean, there there and not like, doll-there, if you get what I mean.
Shit, man, being stuck like this would have been a hell of a lot worse without you, I'm certain. Everyone's been great, of course, and, like, no offense meant, Will and El, but you act most normal. Helps me feel, well, I don't know how, exactly. Describing emotions is not something I'm like, good at. Robin's great, too, but she catastrophizes, you know? And since I can't speak back, she can get herself pretty worked up about this and I hate that. Hate that I can't do anything to help her.
Shit. This isn't your issue. Don't include that. No, wait, do. Sorry, El. (It is here, off in the margin, that Will has added 'I wrote everything word for word. Enjoy the asides to El and me.) Hanging out with you helps her, I think. She seems less anxious on days we spend with you. So, I guess, I also want to thank you for that. For being there for Robin when I can't.
Eddie has to pause there because he had no idea. Robin has been a grounding force for him this whole time. He had no idea he was doing the same for her. She never said, or let on... well, that was probably her goal and now Steve's spilled the beans.
This is getting easier to say, even if I still don't know how to feel about the other two people who are going to be privy to everything said, or I guess from your end, written here. (Here, Will has transcribed a conversation they seemed to have had in the middle of writing this up.) Oh. He means us. - El Yes. Don't worry Steve, we'll do our best to forget everything you've said once it's written down. - Will Steve laughed and says thanks. - El I appreciate that but- well, being honest there's some things I want to say but I don't want anyone else to hear. Those conversations are better left face to face, anyway. So, uhh, what else did I want to say?
Oh! Yeah, I told Robin she could drive around the Bimmer, so she can have a car while I'm- so she doesn't have to bike everywhere but knowing her she probably won't take me up on that offer. Maybe you can talk her into it? Or, maybe she'll be willing to drive your van around and you can take the bimmer.
"Jesus, Stevie, can't you just be okay with existing?" Eddie says it under his breath and tenses instantly. For a moment, he forgot that Steve was right there on the couch with him, could hear him. Now he has to explain himself because Steve's already heard, and without the context of how Eddie really means those words, they can sound judgmental. "Shit. Sorry. I just read the part about your car and, dude, you just don't know how to not try and be helpful, huh? I bet it's destroying you on the inside that you can't do anything. But Steve, you gotta know, we don't care about you because you're useful."
Steve, of course, can't reply, so Eddie goes back to the letter.
Uh, what else was there? Oh! Yeah! I don't get migraines here. Or, in this body? Or, whatever it is. I haven't had one since this happened. Also, no hearing issues. Though I find myself wishing to be completely deaf sometimes. I get that Max can listen to Kate Bush for a week straight, but I'd like a little variety. God, what I wouldn't give to listen to the Top 40 again. Don't say anything, Munson. I can already see your judgmental face at my music taste. Unlike you, I have the ability to like multiple types of music. The Top 40 AND that one song from, uhh, shit. Might not have migraines or hearing issues at the moment, but the memory is still as it was. Which means it is shit. That one song by that metal band where their name sounds like it's metal? You know who I mean. (In the margin, Will has just written five little question marks in a row ?????)
"The band you were thinking of, it's Metallica," Eddie says.
Not important. But, uh, the reason for telling you this. I was hoping you might smuggle me to a show the next time your band plays at the Hideout? Last time I tried to go it was too loud and gave me a migraine, you remember, but I think that I could listen to your whole show like this. We might as well take advantage of the perks of this shit situation, right? So, uh, I wouldn't mind if you did that. Or, like, had Robin or someone else bring me. Whichever.
Actually, wait, I lied, I do care which way. I've already had them pen down Robin's letter, so you'll have to pass this on, but I want Robin to take me. So, I can also watch the show, not just listen. That was the part I liked most, when I went last time, before I had to leave. Wait. Scratch that. Ask Argyle. Other than you, he seems like the only person willing to be caught holding me in public, mostly because I don't think he even knows how to be embarrassed. Jesus that was such a weird sentence to say. Holding me in public. Such a weird thing to experience, too.
Uh, anyway, I think that's it for now. Thanks for everything, Eddie.
"I think you're handling this loss of bodily autonomy rather well, Steve. This letter is a lot more positive than the one I would have written if our roles were reversed," Eddie says with a sigh. He can't help but wonder what Steve would have said in this letter if it hadn't had to be filtered through two teenagers first.
He looks to the last page, the list of questions, and is surprised to see that, mixed in with questions about which sports team is winning (he is not going to watch Sportsball for Steve. There has to be a line drawn somewhere and this is it. He will ask Wayne about it later and hate the glee he sees in his uncle's eyes because now he's going to have to pretend to like sports for the unforeseeable future) and for honest updates about their friends are questions about Eddie's campaign that he's rambled on about since Steve can't escape. Steve wants spoilers, wants to know what Eddie has planned.
Steve has actually been listening. He'd been operating on the assumption Steve just tunes him out when he gets going, unable to stop his brain to mouth filter when it comes to talking about Dungeons and Dragons and his current campaign.
"I'm at your list of questions now. I can't answer anything about sports, and don't think I'm unaware of how you asked me and not Lucas. I see what you are doing and I'm not going to fall for it. So, your first non-sportsball question here; How is Dustin doing, really? Well, that's a whole thing but overall, okay."
