You absolutely deserve it. You're so sweet and wonderful. An ever-present ray of sunshine among the fandom and I don't think we could be any luckier than to have you. 💕

Toshinori had seen you before.

He wasn’t sure where, but he knew he had seen your face before; how captivated he was with the feeling of familiarity, how it struck him so violently that he couldn’t help but attribute it all to deja-vu.

He couldn’t help but watch you as you walked across the street, passing by him and those that brushed his shoulders as they made their way through the throws of people. You were in your own world of bliss as you continued on your way; was it to work? To run an errand? To return home and rest? Toshinori wasn’t sure but he couldn’t help but keep his eye on you until you disappeared into the crowd, to be another memory clouding his mind.

He knew you, but where?

That was all that kept running through his head, distracting him on his patrol as he walked through alleyways, on rooftops, and through the streets - his thoughts only interrupted when he had to sincerely apologize to those he bumped into while distracted. He was always so alert, so on top of things, and always had a level of clarity to him - nothing had kept a hold on him like this before; so what was it about you that entranced his mind into such a hold? It wasn’t like there were people he couldn’t quite remember - being a top hero meant there were many - and yet?

He groaned in frustration, head violently coming to a rest on red brick as he took a meaningful pause to try and clear his head before continuing on his way; Toshinori wanted nothing more than a warm cup of tea to end his tortuous night of confusion and muddled thoughts before heading home - though he hated to admit it, he just wanted you out of his mind so he could rest.

He walked to his normal café, ensuring to pause to keep the door open for a few late-night patrons as they got their last caffeine fix for the night, hoping for a large cup of lavender tea and honey to take home as he approached the barista - nodding with a polite smile after his order had been taken before leaning against the counter with a tired sigh; eyes wandering their surrounding, occupying his brain as he waited, before….

….they landed on you.

It was like you were a vision, the way the light bounced upon your frame as you sat so comfortably at a small table near the back - your laptop opened and captivated your attention as you delicately sipped from the mug you were given.

Perhaps here is where he saw you, bumping into you without knowing for weeks on end as he went about his day. Toshinori couldn’t, and wouldn’t, know for sure if this was true or if it was simply fate that conducted this moment of coincidence. But what he knew for sure was he couldn’t let this moment be wasted.

Acting without thinking his legs guided him to where you sat, to stand in front of you and marvel in your beauty before snapping back into reality when you finally spoke to him.

“I-I’m sorry” He cleared his throat, weight shifting nervously as he looked down at the chair before him “Would you mind if I sat with you?”

And oh how his heart bloomed with such warmth when he watched you nod your head; how a beautiful of a sight it was to see a shy smile form on your lips, and how his ear never heard such a sweet melody when you said

“Please.”

Listen as someone who has been obsessed with vampires like my entire life (but not in a ooh there sexy way its like the symbolism man of what vampires can mean) i am a huge fan of your op vanpire au.

I know you just made a post with lore (amazing art btw) but is there anything else about the au you want to talk about. Id love to hear everything

there's a lot of things i want to talk about the au!! im going to use the frantic energy from the year to get myself some bravery and say some of it is inspired by my own experiences with hallucinations and delusion (dont ask about it pls), with the au i want to explore what it would be like having the person who changed you being very literally stuck with you.

i love stories where characters end up sharing a mind and/or body, i also really dont like when its just good person vs bad person, nuance is a lot more fun lol. the relationship luffy and mingo will be forced into stuck as they are is something important to me. mingo is an awful monster but since he can feel everything luffy does he ends up trying to teach him how to live as a vampire, how to take care of himself. im also very found of the concept of parasite (they're literally the worst thing ever and so fucking scary, so naturally they keep coming up in my stories).

it's also about luffy's body and mind failing him, because of the mindlink he has a hard time knowing where he is, sometimes who he is, what is relationships were supposed to be with others, it gets complicated for him! how hard it is to go through one's daily life when your sense are all messed up! (mingo also struggles with that a bit, but this isn't about him, even thought it's new for him too he get used to it much more easily for plot convenience).

other's ppl reaction to the situation also, i feel, completely unconsciously was also incidentally inspired by my own fear of being seen as a monster or dangerous, something to be put down or locked away!

there's also a few jokes in that lore post that reflects this here:

bugs are a pretty common brand of hallucination, be they crawling in the corner of your sight or inside you, making you feel like a walking hives, this was a funny reference to that!

"surprisingly he doesn't start biting people or become violent." this is my not very subtle "mentally ill and neurodivergent folks aren't inherently dangerous pls stop killing us". the occasional euphoria from bloodthist is vaguely inspired by some manic episode, the happy kind.

there's more, about the way this is about trauma and feeling alienated, i guess this is also a "character realize they've got a disorder/develop one and now has to live with it" kind of story.

Thanks so much for asking first of all. I’ve been thinking about this a whole lot (even before I drew the first plushie here) and I think I’ve finally decided that at least for now, I won’t be taking submissions for plushie ratings. Without getting too serious, the main reason is that I’m afraid that it will stop feeling as fun as it does now. I also really enjoy how happy people seem to be when they see a surprise rating that they weren’t expecting, which would happen much less often if I was spending time drawing submissions, too. I really hope that everyone understands

I could look at your Miguel O'Hara paintings forever!!! You did such an amazing job on these because like you fleshed him out sooonwell. During the movie I had difficulty pinpointing his actual face because of the art style bit when I look at yours its like bAM an actual person. helps that hes a handsome person lol

Oh man, I gotta be honest, he is so insanely hard to draw, and I still have not managed to draw him consistently lmao. And yeah, he kinda seems to be jumping around between different styles and rendering in the movie too, imo he looks different in almost every single one of the reference photos I've managed to find of him. I see so many other artists struggle with his face too, so I suppose I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having a hard time with it 😅
