I read all this with my jaw on the floor. Oh my God that’s so heartbreaking, it’s such a deep choice that requires one to truly be aware of their ethical compass.

I… I think I would go with the first option. Because in the second one, even if he DIDN’T leave me after all that, I would just feel the guilt for the rest of my life of having forcefully shaped him into something I know I love. It’s just not fair. It’s the equivalent of coding a chatbot, making it say whatever you like to hear and falling in love with it. It’s delirious, it’s insanely immoral even if we assume he wouldn’t get to know it, because I would, and that’s enough for me. I would probably just leave him be, discover ‘himself’, and if he turns out to be a completely different person than our canon one, well… that would sure be heartbreaking, but at least it would only break my heart, not his too. There’s no way this kind of scenario you wrote could have a good ending anyways. :’)

I don’t think people understood the importance of it being a standalone fic, and how it changes the entire mood. There’s no assured happy ending, there’s no sudden realisation of love, jeno is left as much in the dark as before he even came to Y/N’s door. They could drop him instantly, they could finally accept him into their heart, it’s a toss up. And that was the entire point of the fic, there is no assurance that all ends well

I saw the ask you answered from another anon about cloneshipping, and I balled my eyes out. I'm a closet cloneshipper too. I came into the fandom about a year ago and ended up with the antis before I even knew what that meant.

I've started to secretly follow cloneship blogs, but I'm a decently popular fanfic writer in the anti group, and I really don't want to lose my readers by coming out 😭

I've never written a cloneship fic, and I mostly write x reader, which I know is a whole different topic for another day, but I love the content you all put out!

I put a short, non-aggresive blurb on my blog that I don't cloneship to appease the masses, and several cloneship blogs blocked me. It's sad, but I don't blame them. I've seen the hate spewed out by antis, and it's just disgusting.

i'm really glad that post was able to help you in some way, friend. i'm gonna be honest, i had no idea it was so common for people to feel trapped in anti circles, and it makes me so sad. we should all be having fun - that's what it boils down to.

being a writer myself, i understand the fear of losing your reader base. i only have one non-shipping work, but i have at times wished it could be separated from my cloneship writing because i'm really proud of it and i know that shrinks the amount of people who will interact with it. however, i'm proud of ALL of my work. all of it brings me joy - and not just that, but it brings other people joy. it's meaningful to them.

all that to say.. i think sharing my work with a small group of people who cherish it feels better than having a larger audience. but i know that's just me personally.

Minato: The friendly fisherman! He can be seen running errands for his grandparents and helping anyone who needs it. He struggles to let people past arms length and therefore doesn't have any friends, maybe you can be that for him or more.

Haruto: Your childhood friend. You’ve been together forever! Throughout elementary, middle, high school, and even college he never left your side. He would kill for you, not that he'd ever let you know if he did or...has. You'd never expect anything like that from your sweet childhood friend anyways.

Jun: Your best friends younger brother. He’s fashionable and dramatic and all your interactions with him are fun despite being exhausting. She’s admired you for so long, when will you notice her too??

Hoshi: Habiki’s younger twin brother and your coworker. He often slacks off at work but can get away with it since he’s the owners son. They wish you would let loose and have some fun too!

Habiki: Hoshi’s older twin brother. Unlike his younger brother, Habiki slacks off less, not that he’s any more pleasant to be around. Still they’ll help you if they feel like it.

Kage: A timid introvert that would rather watch you from within the shadows. He’s Haruto’s younger brother and met you through him. They were infatuated with you the more they interacted and watched you.

Kei: Smart and calculative, Kei strives to find out the most about you and his enemies through the power of hacking. He’s known you since highschool, do you remember him as well as he remembers you?

Yani: They love you! He loves you so much that he would change anything about himself! She wants you to be happy, and she’ll do anything to make sure that you are happy. It can’t wait to meet you💕

Aki: Another one of your childhood best friends. You met Aki in elementary school on your first day and you two have been by each others sides since. She really values your friendship and helps you through out this whole yandere situation. (DLC character)

Leo grows into the leader role. He wanted it the most from the get go, but majority vote gave the role to Donnie 🙄 He just has to prove he’s worthy of the title, then it’s his for the taking! He already has one brother believing in his abilities, and the others will turn around once they see how great he’d be! He’s sure of it!

Hehehe, yeah. One specifically comes to mind.

Sandro is not a canon character. He is also meant to be a very very respectful nod towards @/leo-kinnie’s OC whom I absolutely adore. I tried to make them completely separate entities, with wildly different personalities and living situations, but I give credit where credit is due in that if it weren’t for Lin’s OC there likely would not be a Sandro in my AU at all.

While nothing is a direct copy from Lin’s Sandro, I did include some references towards him in mine. Lemme know if you notice them once he drops in the story :)

Oh, and unrelated to Sandro, there’s also April’s Aunt that’s an OC I already had. And I have ideas for “cameo episodes” where I bring in groups of OCs to interact with My Turtles. But I’m not going to shoe-horn them in if I can’t find a good place for it.

Uhhh, Mikey’s 99% likely to get a cat at a certain point. Karai used to have pets, but stuff happened to them. Casey has a dog. Raph’s got a bunch of Neopets. Leo has a definitely-not-dead-under-his-bed tamagotchi. Yoshi has a chia pet somewhere. I think I planned on giving April a snake at some point?

👹 Are there yokai/supernaturals in this universe?

Mmm, I don’t think any yokai or genuinely magic/mystic persons fit in the AU. This universe is fundamentally realistic in nature, and I’m trying to stay true to that wherever possible.

That said, extraterrestrials are a possibility.

💉 Do any characters get mutated during the main story?

Yes! Splinter does :)

I have ideas for others, but nothing solidified yet. Need to figure out where to put them & how their mutations would fit into the overall plot. Terrible thing, adding a plot-twist mutation and then doing nothing with it!

NO ANON YOU CAN’T DO THAT TO ME 😭 you know it so well that that question doesn’t have an answer, they’re all my beloveds <3 (I know you were joking hahaha but it made my heart skip a beat at first 🥲)

Friendly debates, I adore them! I find them really intellectually stimulating. I really like debating on any topic concerning physics world (which we’ve been doing frequently lately with my physicist friend group and I just feel like I’m in heaven), the dystopia/utopia of the artificial intelligence and (this is going to be a really specific theme but) which composer actually started the Romantic Era in classical music. I know it’s considered as Beethoven in the academia, but I still can’t help but think about what role Mozart would’ve played had he lived a few decades longer because he literally has telling signs in his latest works. I include that whenever this kind of conversation comes up (it isn’t frequent but we talk about it with my friend from the conservatory) and watch as things get flamed x).

i don't watch sims youtubers but i've seen / heard enough to know what you mean. i'm very much of the 'let people play how they wanna play' vein (with a side of psychoanalyzing maybe 🤨 LMAO) & with the video game / streaming world still dominated by men, i feel a responsibility to defend girls who wanna play as / with girls (and generally, girls playing however they want to play!!) but i can understand how frustrating it is to see the same thing(s) you can't even relate to over & over again. that's why i'm all about curating ur own feed(s) and seeking out what u know will serve you rather than this kind of swallow-the-medicine "well This creator is popular so i'll follow out of obligation but i don't even like their stuff 😑" yknow?? again, IDK about the sims youtube world but there rly is an amazing + always growing variety of simmers (including male-focused ones!) on here if u just poke around a little! i hope this doesn't come off as patronizing or like i'm undermining your feelings - generally i think Anyone who isn't happy with the content they're seeing can & should take control of what they're interacting with in the first place and seek out the specific things they wish to see (which very much exist if u look hard enough 🔭)
