Besides his appearance, what makes this new version of anti so terrifying to me is that he now seems to be *actually* real.

Up until now we've only ever seen anti through screens, projections or hallucinations. But today, he got out of the camera. He stepped on the floor of our real world.

The way he walked, as if he hadn't done that in a long time... no glitching, just a slight distortion at the end. He has a form now and who knows what it's capable of.

He just became trully scary.

How to Survive JSE Ego Seananigans*: A Community Theorist Guide/Project

*now with a hint of added Magpie

So two weeks ago (literally right before all fires broke loose), @fear-is-nameless​ reminded me of an old idea I had for a project that never came to fruition: 

originally an idea to make a physical theory guide for PAX East 2018, we talked about how useful a guide could be now with the latest IRIS antics and especially with potential new theorists joining the community. so it was decided, what if we brought back this idea as a community project?

A new, modern (and virtual) version of a theorists’ survival guide for new, current, and future members of the JSE Community?

 Got a collection of resources, historical references, tools, tips, etc that you’ve might’ve gathered over the many past ego mayhems that you’d like to share? a log of all hidden zalgo tags since october 2016? good websites for solving cyphers? what to look out for in suspicious videos or posts on what platforms? summary masterposts of past events? tips on how you organize your theory ideas and notes? anything, post and share it! 

AND IF YOU WANNA BE A BIT ARTSY, you could even turn it into what you’d imagine a page in a jse theorist’s journal/survival guide would look like! codes written in blacklight? your memories of overnightwatch depicted as if you were an actual IRIS nightwatcher (maybe even make a fake id)? taped-on polaroids of the egos with a redacted/classified report on what we know about IRIS/the egos so far? a big paper flame in the middle of your theory notebook that pops up when you open it? (I almost made this one actually lol)

Whatever YOU, humble reader, would essentially include as your page in the unofficial theorist guide for the jse community.

there isn’t really a deadline on this (especially since we’re still “keeping an eye out” for the 100th anniversary of IRIS this year, we can constantly add more updates in the future as things happen). But if you’d like to contribute, feel free to share your posts with the hashtag: #JSETheoristGuide 

(it’ll make it easy for people to find everyone’s resource posts/tips/art in one place 👍)

If anything, I hope the hashtag/project can be both a good resource for future theorists, as well as a chance for ya’ll to have a bit of fun inspiration :). have a nice day/night ya’ll! 💚🔥

So been thinking about if you got both of the boys in the same room and they only barely tolerate each other because you’re there. I’ll try to make it gn

Tw: brief talk of Anti’s “neck incident” and swearing

Darkiplier x Reader (gender neutral) x Antisepticeye

Set up: you are just chilling with Anti (just imagine a living room) and Dark arrives because he wants to talk with you about something and Anti gets real defensive and clingy.

“They aren’t your prisoner, you know. They can talk with whomever they wish,” Dark was already irritated with Anti’s shenanigans.

“Yeah, well you’re in my home, my fucking territory. You don’t have a fucking say here!” Anti was getting angry a lot faster than the other alter- as per usual. Dark sighed, “Does this really need to be an issue every time I wish to see them? They already stay with you, why do you insist on being selfish?”

“Cause I know what’s safe for them, and they don’t need to be around you or any other insane ego in your little group.”

The iplier egos were never all that harmful towards you, though. Only Dark and Wilford ever seemed to have interest, to which Dark would always ward off Wilford’s more… extreme tendencies.

Dark sneered in response, “You know what’s safe? The one who brought a knife to their own neck for entertainment-?”

“THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM!”

Things were growing heated fast. You decided to quietly step away to let them work it out (in their own special way).

“Dollface, hey,” arms wrapped around your torso, making you stop, “where are ya going? I was just messing around…” Anti mumbled as his face brushed up beside yours.

“Just a minor spat is all,” Dark stepped in front of you and took your hand, “takes more than a couple harsh words to send me away.” He placed a soft kiss to your knuckles.

Anti growled and his hold possessively tightened, “would certainly make my life a lot easier… I think they prefer me anyways,” he chuckled a bit and started a trail of kisses along your neck.

Dark’s expression twitched only slightly at this, but remained overall neutral. He brought his free hand to your face and maneuvered yours to rest on his shoulder. “They just need to see what I can offer…” his chest pressed up against yours, now pinning you between the two extremely dangerous beings, “I can entirely rewrite reality at your command.”

His lips connected with yours in a rather soft display of affection, catching you off guard with how gentle he was being. He separated for a breath, “say the word my dear, and I will give you the world.” He captured your lips once again.

Anti huffed. “Darlin’ you already have the world with me,” he whispered into your ear, making you shiver only for Dark to deepen the kiss to bring your attention back to him. “What could he possibly have that I don’t, hm?” Anti placed a small kiss behind your ear.

Dark separated to glare down at him. “Humility and grace certainly comes to mind.”

With that, they were at it again. Attempting to one-up each other for your attention.

You, at their mercy, had one hand clutching at Anti’s arms and the other clawing into Dark’s suit jacket, there was hardly anything you could do to stop them. Your mind, being as flustered as it was, probably wouldn’t let you do much of anything if you could.

MY IDEAS REGARDING ANTISEPTICEYE!!

Okay straight off the bat- I think Anti has never been human, I think whatever Anti is predates any human currently alive and possibly any human being that existed before then too. Whatever Anti is, it has existed for far longer than any human being could ever feasibly comprehend. But

I don't think they're a "God" or a "Demon" either. I think any terms humans have come up with in the past would only diminish the true scale of whatever Anti truly is. And to truly appreciate what Anti is, is to accept that you'll never fully understand. Whatever goal he might have is quite frankly incomprehensible to humans- it's like an Ant trying to figure out why a human would be mowing a lawn or what a lawnmower even is. All the Ant sees is the violent, gigantic machine beyond anything it's ever seen, tearing apart its home and its colony.

I feel like that's the point of Anti, we all love to theorize and draw meaning to things all the time, because it's human nature to want to know- I think Anti going against that very instinct is what makes him so terrifying. Anti needs us to pay attention, to keep feeding into him to continue to watch to see what he does next- it's like he's trying to get us to find a solution to the problem, knowing that we'll never find it because there never was one to begin with.

I feel as though Anti sticks in like an embedded thorn. One that's dug in so deep under the skin that the top layer has healed over- but the thorn is still there, maddeningly scratching away at your insides as you desperately try to figure out what's wrong. Figuring out the solution to your problem is to tear it out of you.

That's how I imagine Anti is to Chase. A thorn deep inside a long healed wound, only there to twist and pry into him, a sick reminder of the wound long after it's healed.

In my mind- the only real way to stop Antisepticeye realistically within The IRIS Project, is to accept that you never will.
