hi I’ve been coping. I know I’m super fucking late to the this but I found out Qinni passed away and it’s so crazy to some people to be upset over someone you’ve never met. But when I first saw the painting she did of the girl with the galaxy freckles, my world was turned upside down in the best way possible. I was a preteen in middle school, dealing with depression, puberty, bullying and stress. Seeing Qinni’s paintings inspired me, although I hardly draw myself. I had never seen something so beautiful, and her artwork showed me that there really is beauty in this world. Her artwork showed me that the human mind is incredible bc believe me, I would never be as creative as she was. Her galaxies lit a fire in me and I started to try again. I started to try for life and to love stuff around me, no matter how sad I got. It’s such a shame that I only found the name of someone who truly changed my life just yesterday. Qinni’s legacy is so beautiful and I hope she is painting all the galaxies where she is 💙 Thank you for changing me Qinni, and although I am so late saying this, I do miss you. You made this world better

I hope Courtney knows that she doesn't have to pretend to be part of the lgbt community to be interesting. She's never had any relationships with any girls and most of the people she's dated and were attracted with are men. I think she was so desperate to be as interesting as Damien, Shayne, and Ian that she decided to adopt being queer as her "thing"

hey, what an absolutely despicable ask to send me, a bisexual woman!

this kind of biphobia (although 'bisexual' isn't the official term courtney uses to label herself, biphobia is the most fitting descriptor here and so i'll be using that throughout) in my ask box is disappointing and disheartening. it is not courtney's job to be in (what is perceived as) a same-sex relationship to be queer. they don't have to be in such a relationship to get your approval, or to prove herself as a "real" lgbt person. some bi/pan/queer people will never have same-sex relationships. just like some will never have straight relationships, and some will never have any relationships at all. that doesn't mean the attraction isn't real or isn't there. no matter what their relationship status is, that attraction doesn't fade. she will continue to be attracted to women and to be queer their entire life. liking more than one gender is valid. being queer is valid. courtney's feelings, although they're none of our fucking business even if she's been gracious enough to share them with us, are valid. just because they're in a 'heterosexual' relationship right now doesn't mean she stops being queer - not to mention, it isn't a heterosexual relationship, it's inherently a queer relationship because they are in it. they're nonbinary and lgbt. any relationship they're in will be a queer one.

i'm just honestly... so affronted and disgusted by this whole idea. what on gods earth makes you think they're pretending? why would she drag herself through that mental anguish? if you'll remember, courtney grew up in a religious mormon household. why put herself through that? for 'clout'? to be 'different'? i'll tell you what, as someone who grew up 'different' in a religious family, it is not fucking fun. it is ignorant and disrespectful of you to assume anyone has the comfort to "pretend" they're queer to "stand out." i did not spend years at my bedside trying to pray away the gay just for someone like you to come in and say someone in my community is pretending. i did not go through my formative years lamenting how different i was from everyone around me for you to come in and accuse another queer person of faking it.

and another thing - it is fucking BAFFLING to me that you would say courtney was 'desperate' to be as interesting as shayne, damien, and ian. you named three white straight men. hello???? are you fucking blind to what you just wrote? courtney has been out here BEING different, being unique and interesting and genuinely herself. for as long as i've been watching smosh, they have been the core of that company. as of this moment, they are the only current non-male main cast member and the second-longest-running main cast member overall. she's an accomplished writer, actor, producer, and director. without her, there's no funeral roasts, no reunions, no 'our leaked dms.' without her, there's simply no smosh, because they're a major part of the reason that company even lived through the defy collapse and the pandemic. they're also just objectively one of the funniest cast members there (can you imagine not having boneless. or pov you're a lobster. i honestly wish i could be half the comedic genius courtney is and that's not an exaggeration or a joke). they are interesting because of who they are, not because they're 'pretending' to be anything. courtney would be just as popular and beloved as she currently is even if she had never come out, which they only did because they were brave and trying to be their most authentic version of herself.

this ask left my stomach rolling. i am absolutely appalled. the smoshblr community we've created here is meant to be a safe haven, as smosh the company has become, for outcasts and oddballs, and that is supposed to include the lgbt community. i have praised smoshblr again and again for being the place i've felt most comfortable and accepted, but this is extremely hurtful. as a bisexual woman who has constantly struggled with being 'queer' enough, i take this kind of thing personally. and you may be thinking that this isn't about me, but it is. this is about every queer person who has been accused of 'faking it' by one biphobe or another. if a person says they're queer - they're fucking queer. end of story.

joel sees martyn standing frozen at the edge of the battlefield. a wither and a warden have rampaged the land and the threat is very much still alive, but it’s so much. too much to process all at once. the sounds and screams and blood and wither rose petals scattered across the rubble— it’s a cacophony, and martyn is trapped Watching.

but joel sees him. joel cries out.

“Martyn— stay away, Martyn! We can’t lose another person!”

martyn can’t listen. joel maneuvers himself between martyn and the wither until the death blow is dealt and the danger passes.

grian and etho recount the tale. they laugh. they laugh. all of them, while martyn stands numb with shock and thinks of a chest with three bones inside and nothing more. nothing ever again.

all that remains of his fellow reds are grayed out names on a tab list.

martyn closes his eyes and makes a silent promise.

joel is no fool. he loves lizzy but her decision to ostracize herself and make enemies spelled doom long ago. meanwhile, joel has done what he rarely ever succeeds in: making allies that last longer than a few days in this wretched place. scar turned on him the moment he fell from grace in last life. etho’s attachment was artificial from the beginning in double life. the bad boys were a true bond, though he knew better, even then, than to ever trust grian completely. and jimmy—

now, he has the mounders. pearl, and bdubs, and… mumbo. right. someone should go back to his base, collect his things before the scavengers come sniffing about. make a memorial, maybe. sideways. he’d like that.

but that just leaves pearl and bdubs, and joel can feel their eyes prickling the back of his neck. waiting. watching. an opportunity is all it will take for them to turn; pearl made her preferences clear, and joel can’t grudge her for it. he was a late addition to the mounders, after all. but that still leaves him cast out and alone in a server full of paranoid lunatics armed to the teeth.

he couldn’t let martyn join the ranks of the dead. it was too much. one more roll of thunder may have split joel’s mind like overripe watermelon and left him dripping and scattered all over the server.

maybe— maybe there’s room, up in that doghouse, for an ally. maybe martyn will take him in and let him rest somewhere he won’t have to keep one eye open. martyn could surely use the extra protection as he adjusts to being the only red for the first time in his existence.

joel has felt that sting before.

and stray dogs stick together.

Random Stuff about my Mystreet Rewrite that i just wanna ramble bout

It’s all just creative arts stuff but that beside the point

- None of them were neurotypical from the beginning, but it’s more noticeable here

- Zane, Garroth, Ein, Blaze, were all band kids

- Dottie, Rylan, Daniel, and Gene were all orchestra kids

- Katelyn and travis,.,,...,. obvious theatre kids duh

- Well Trav was an art kid with Aph but then he was like “this sucks and i cant draw :(((” so he joined theatre and actually liked it

- On top of just generally being band kids, Zane, Ein and Blaze were all jazz band kids(Totally not me projecting)

- Aaron, Dante, Teony, Ivy, Kim, and Sasha were choir kids. Its just that slight repressed gay gifted kid energy that every choir kid emulates yknow??

- Vylad, Melissa, and Lucinda are all piano kids,,,,, an elusive breed(again totes not projecting)

- Dante just knows how to play tenor sax, he has no reason to, he just does

- Aaron plays guitar for the jazz band on occasion

- Ein threw a trumpet at someone once(It wasn’t even his trumpet)

- He did not pay for it

- Aph jokes that Travis only joined theatre to try and get more attention from girls(specifically Katelyn), this is only a half-truth

- Eric, Sylvanna, and Zach had a band when they were younger

- Laurence refuses to be a creative arts kid, no matter how much everybody else pesters him to join their respective program. He thinks they’re all weird for different reasons, yet still hangs out with them on a consistent basis

- Cadenza almost forced him to join choir, but that failed cuz he just can’t sing

man. sux to see ive actually radically dropped interest in pokemon. been meaning to replay violet for yonks now and i still have yet to even buy the dlc. used to be day 1 super excited go crazy go stupid over that shit but now its just smth neat i can put on the back shelf and interact w later. wild
