What I believe happened, is I had a dormant X-Gene, I think it's called, and it activated to protect me from the worst effects of the spiderbite. I'm actually still changing, I've described it as a second, fuzzier puberty. Just in my 20's. You know how it is.

Also, thank you! I found it in a second hand store, and adjusted it myself. Whoever says being punk is expensive is trying to scam you.

How’s life in New York? What’s it like hanging with the other heroes?

Its pretty sweet! The tall buildings make moving around pretty neat but I would hate to see a bill of all the glass I've shattered while jumping around the place.

As for my super social life, its pretty neat! Webam is getting the hang of me giving him hugs and Spider Woman is chill as always. Sometimes I think she's way too cool and intimidating with her suit, then I realize she probably needs another hug and suprise her with one :).

hello! You seem trustable, uh, how secure is this whole blog thing?

This is a great question, with a complicated and annoying answer. The short answer is "very, but only because of the coding equivalent of a jackhammer."

See, most of the Cluster's blogs aren't actually being posted in....like, their native universes. That might go without saying, considering all the real names that keep getting thrown around. For example, mine is hosted in a universe that not only is well removed from 61610, but (thanks to a virus I wrote) is totally inaccessible unless you run an incredibly complicated emulator on a very specific part of the dark web. An emulator designed by @ask-anarky and shared with very few. For all intents and purposes, these blogs don't exist in our homeworlds, and we don't exist in the universe hosting them.

(Other universes may or may not have different things going on. But this is my situation, and that of a few others.)

There's more going on than that, though. The Cluster's got a groupchat, which is actually a group of instant messaging services from each of our native worlds held together with spit and baling wire. If Gwen saw the code I'm using to make them interface with each other she'd probably punch me in the face again for crimes against programming. But part of that code also allows them to interface with the emulator she made, so some of our groupchat conversations can make their way onto the blogs if we want them to.

I'm...assuming you're a Spider who's thinking about starting a blog. Either that or you're Webam, who's in the middle of Baby's First Conspiracy and has good reason to be getting a little paranoid. Whatever the case, send me a private message and I'll see what I can do to get you hooked up and secure.

Remember that cult I mentioned when I recounted my first month as a spider-person? They’re apparently openly taking new members now. Yesterday I saw a group of purple robed people on the street handing out pamphlets advertising “The Church of the Writhing Tentacle.”

Cult stuff aside, who willingly describes themselves as “Writhing Tentacle?” Like???? Gross.

So yeah. Norman Osborn is the leader of the Avengers in my universe.

I probably should have mentioned that sooner... given that he seems to become "The Green Goblin" for everybody else.

I don't know the guy personally. Miles told me that Peter worked with him a few years ago when the Avengers were nothing more than Osborn's "dream team," as Miles described it to me.

But aside from that, all I know is that a few years back, way before I got bit, some armored hero calling himself "The Iron Goblin" appeared out of nowhere. Basically become New York City's very own Knight (in a sense) in Shining Armor. Coincidentally, around that time is when Oscorp stopped its shady business dealing and began creating massive advances towards scientific progress.

Oscorp grew, Iron Goblin saves the city half a dozen times, and I think the world once, and then one day out of nowhere Norman Osborn unveils himself as the Goblin. Then he makes the Avengers, they save the world on an almost weekly basis, and boom, a recipe for the most famous man on Earth.

So imagine my surprise when I learn the guy is a murderous psychopath is every other universe.
