austin and me || part one
summary: you find out you're pregnant only a few months after yours and austin's wedding day. despite it being pretty soon, you are still over the moon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"i know you're not feeling up for a workout, but would you want to meet for lunch somwhere afterwards?" austin asked you. he was getting ready to head to the gym, which was something that the two of you had done together pretty regularly in the time you'd been together.
"maybe. if i get to feeling better, i'd love to." you nodded, forcing a smile. you'd been feeling nauseous the past two days and really weren't up for anything at the moment.
"okay. well let me know." austin said, walking out of the closet. he walked over to the edge of the bed and kneeled down next to you. "i love you." he said softly, taking your hand in his, pressing his lip to the wedding band that newly adorned your left ring finger.
"i love you too." you said with a smile. you sat up and pressed a kiss to his lips, wishing him goodbye before he left.
after he'd been gone for a while, you started to get hungry. you made yourself something small, but it wasn't too long before you were in the bathroom throwing up. you dug around in the bathroom closet for something to settle your stomach when your eyes landed on an unopened box of tampons.
"oh shit." you huffed once the pieces clicked in your mind. that sure would explain the stomach aches.
you grabbed your purse and keys, walking to the drug store down the street from your house. you stood in the family planning aisle, staring at the numerous pregnancy tests that filled the shelves. it suddenly felt like your arms weighed two tons each. no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't do anything to lift them. you were lost in your own thoughts when a soft voice brought you back down to earth.
"you okay, sweetie?" the voice asked. you focused on the person next to you, the lady you recognized as the cashier, standing next to you. you forced a smile and nodded slightly. "not something you thought you were gonna be shopping for today, huh?" she asked.
"not even close." you sighed. you finally mustered the strength to grab a box from the shelf, staring down at the picture of the pregnant woman on the box.
"do you love him?" she asked.
"more than anything.” you said, smiling at her. “it just feels so soon. we've only been married a few months." you sighed. "but we've talked about having kids, and i know this is something we both want. i'm just a little nervous."
"i was nervous when i had my first baby, too. it's normal to feel nervous with your first. but once that baby is here, things change so quickly. you and your husband love each other, and getting to share that love with a little one will be more fulfilling that you know." she reassured. you smiled and thanked her for her kind words. she walked with you to the cash register to get you checked out.
you thanked her again and walked back home. you stood in the bathroom, staring at the box on the counter, before you finally opened it and took one out. you took the test and paced the bathroom while you awaited the results. your timer went off, and you took a deep breath before looking.
Pregnant.
"oh, my god." you said aloud. you took another one for safe measure, which was a positive result as well. you grabbed your phone to text austin, but immediately stopped yourself.
"no. this is something i need to tell him in person." you said, setting your phone back down on your nightstand. wanting to be just a bit cutesy, you found an old gift box in your closet, wrapping the pregnancy tests in some tissue and placing them inside.
“perfect." you said to yourself after tying the bow. you text austin and told him you were feeling a bit better, but weren't quite up to eating out. instead, you suggested having lunch together at home, to which austin agreed.
"i'm just glad to know you're feeling better." he replied.
"yeah. me too :)" you sent back. you began cooking while you waited for austin to return home. he returned about halfway through your cook time, so you ushered him upstairs to shower and change before he came back down and set the table. you'd hidden the box in the kitchen, so he wouldn't find it in the bedroom. you finished preparing your meal, and you sat down at the table with austin and began eating.
he told you about his workout, how his trainer had come up with a new regime to get him prepped for his upcoming project.
"im so unbelievably sore though. but i know once i go through it after a couple of days, i'll be used to it."
"definitely." you added, nodding in agreement.
"anyway, enough about me. i'm glad you're feeling better, what do you think it was? one of those 24 hour bugs?" he asked.
"i think it may last a bit longer than that." you thought to yourself. "i guess? i don't know. i tried to eat something earliet, but i threw up again as soon as it hit my stomach. i started feeling a bit better after that though." you shrugged, taking a sip of water. "speaking of which," you trailed off, getting up from the table.
"speaking of which? please don't tell me you got food poisoning from my cooking, i'll cry." he joked.
"no, not at all." you laughed. you grabbed the box from it's hiding spot, and instructed austin to close his eyes before you took it back to the table. you moved his plate and set the box down in front of him. "okay, open."
"what are you getting me presents for?" he asked, focusing on the gift box in front of him.
"just open it." you said. you stood next to him, watching nervously as he untied the bow and opened the box. you watched his hands as they rummaged through the tissue paper, unrolling the first pregnancy test.
"no way." he said quietly, he found the other one confirming his findings. "y/n?!" he turned to face you, tears on the brink of falling.
"you're gonna be a daddy." you said softly, your tears already falling.
"oh my god." he said quietly, looking down at the pregnancy tests in his hands. you could see the smile on his face widening as he fully took in the moment. suddenly, his arms were tight around your waist. "we're gonna have a baby." he said, voice muffled by your shirt. you giggled softly his lips met your stomach, him pressing kisses to every inch of your belly.
later that night, while you were getting ready for bed, you couldn't help but marvel at your stomach. you raised your shirt and placed your hands on either side of your belly button.
"hello, little one. mommy and daddy love you so much already." you said softly. you pressed a kiss to the palm of your hand and pressed it to your belly. you walked out of the bathroom and made your way over to the bed. you saw austin sitting up on his side, the pregnancy tests in his hands. you heard him sniffle, and as you got closer, you saw that he'd been crying. sad crying, though. not happy crying.
"baby? what's wrong?" you asked, climbing into bed, and moving next to him.
"nothing, it's stupid." he huffed, wiping his nose.
"it's not stupid if it's making you cry. talk to me, love." you said, rubbing his back. he took a deep breath before looking up at you.
"i feel guilty for being excited about this baby when my mom isn't here to be part of it." he said, his tears falling faster. "she loved kids so much, and i know she would've been so excited to have been given the opportunity to be a grandma." he stopped for a moment, but he knew he had more to say. he took a deep breath before speaking again, his tears continuing to stream. "and lisa marie. she became such a huge part of my life in just a short time. a huge part of our lives." he emphasized. the mention of lisa marie hit you like a ton of bricks.
you unfortunately never got the chance to meet lori, austin's mom. but you did meet lisa marie. austin's elvis journey was such a huge part of his life over the last three years, and you were with him every step of the way. the first time he met lisa marie, as well as priscilla, riley, an harper and finley, at the ceremony of them placing their hands at Grauman's Chinese theater, you were there. and you saw how much pride lisa marie had for austin, for finally protraying her father in what she thought was the right way. she became almost like a second mother to him, and they grew so close in the too short of time they had together. you knew how much her praise meant to austin, and her passing hit him harder than you could've ever imagined. he didn't tell you until the night she passed how integral she actually was to your engagement.
"she was the one who encouraged me to finally propose. she was an outsider to our relationship, but she saw how much you meant to me, and how supportive you were of me. it was no secret how hard this filming journey was for me, but you stuck by my side through it all. i told her that i wanted to marry you, but was too nervous that you were going to say no. but she said, and i quote, 'if you don't get off your ass and propose, then i'll do it for you.' the next day, i bought the ring, and proposed. and now she's not even gonna get to see the wedding." he said to you. you and him cracked open a new bottle of scotch that night, drinking your sorrows away. you laughed and cried, sharing stories of the few memories you each had with her, wishing there were more.
“both she and your mom will be there in spirit. they are both so proud of you, and they wouldn't miss it for the world." you said to him.
“oh, hon. i know it’s sad, but they wouldn’t want you to be upset. your mom and lisa marie are always watching over you and have taught you so many wonderful life lessons. in parenting and otherwise. you’re going to be a wonderful father, and our baby is going to love you.” you said, continuing to rub his back. he laid into your chest and you let him continue crying.
“im sorry, babe.” he said, sitting up and sniffling once more. he’d finally cried out all his tears and was coming back down to earth.
“you dont need to be sorry. it's an emotional time and you miss the people you love. you have so much love for the people in your life that sometimes it overflows, but that's okay." you said. he looked up at you with puffy eyes, and your heart broke. you hated seeing him this upset.
“i love you.” he said softly. he leaned against the headboard, patting your thigh. “so so much.”
i love you.” you leaned over and pressed a kiss to his lips. he pulled away and smiled at you.
“we’re having a baby.” he said softly, kissing you again.
“i know! and i know that as long as you’re their daddy, they’re gonna get more love than they’ll know what to do with.” you said with a smile. his eyes met yours before he kissed you again.
“i really am excited, i promise. i hope my crying isn't making you think i'm not excited about this.” he said, placing his hand on your stomach.
“no, i know you are. and i am too.” you said hugging him tight. “our baby is gonna be so pretty.”
“for sure.” he laughed. you finally wound down and the both of you fell asleep, wrapped in each other’s arms.

Just a taste, baby - Feyd Rautha x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: You and Feyd-Rautha have been connected through dreams since childhood; a complex inner-working of the Bene Gesserit mothers to join your bloodlines. It binds the two of you in a pull you can't escape (nor do you want to). Feyd is absolutely feral for you.
words: 1,258
disclaimer: characters may be out of character, specifically feyd, considering his desperate softness here. just a forewarning.
You were trapped, breaths coming out of shallow pants as you felt the scratch of the cement structure beneath your palms. He had you against the wall in a hidden alcove; along one of the lengthy corridors of the palace in Giedi Prime. Your mouths were just breaths apart. In fact the Harkonnen before you seemed intent on matching your breaths, mingling them. Tasting your tiny pants as his own. It made your eyes heavy, made you want to tilt your head back and close your eyes, give him access to the expanse of your neck.
"sweetness." He rasped, unable to control himself. The Na-Baron wrapped an arm about your waist, a vice arching you against him as he lowered a wanting mouth to your neck, licking and sucking where the two met. You mewled at the wet heat, felt him growl desperately at the taste.
The two of you hadn't even kissed yet - but the wait; the dreams - you both knew each other to the soul.
---- flashback ----------
The sands of Arakis and Geidi Prime alike carried mysteries of prophesies of the lisan-al-gaib. But midst such tales, the Bene-Geserit mothers also had worked to connect bloodlines through dreams. The Na-Baron and the princess of Arrakis had been bound by such since birth. A well-planned move to align feuds and place power into wanting hands in preparation of war. A web of politcal conspiracy only they controlled. Their plans could not be foiled.
But Feyd couldn't care less about such witchcraft; and neither, if one were honest, could you. The two of you had known of this binding since a young age. And when you had met as children too - the connection had been strong.
"Their line is bright" The reverend mother's voice had burned into your mind, even at 10 years old.
You remembered her cloaked form; a black shadow against the haze of the horizon, a tower above you as she turned from your parents. Her voice had been void of emotion, except for a smugness you didn't understand. But when you turned to glance at the older boy before you (such a uniquely beautiful boy; broad shoulders and smooth skin, black attire across a lithe form), his eyes shone with an intensity that surprised her. Dark, watching, intrigued. He intimidated you. He made you curious.
At 15 years of age, the Na-Baron hadn't spoken in their meeting; but he had felt more than he had imagined. The girl...she had made him feel things. It confused and awakened him to something he had never known. His uncle had never spoken of such a pull. A need.
When the ship had arrived to his homeworld, and the strange foreigners parted like a sea, Feyd-Rautha found himself straightening to his full height; head lowered as he studied them beneath an angled gaze. Garbs of strange colors - hair he had never seen before in elegant styles. He would be Harkonnen predator. He would be a warrior. Strike fear in these alien people, show the Baron he was not swayed so easily by something new.
But then-
Swathed in layers of white, a girl stepped forward; dainty and gracious above all else; practically floating across the landing platform. Yet her eyes betrayed her; darting to capture the landscape, thrown off perhaps by the infrared of Giedi Prime's black sun above them.
She was drinking in the strange newness before her, and then they found him. Feyd felt his chest tighten. Fists clenched. Heat brimmed under the chestplate of his armor.
She looked like some newborn animal, caught in his gaze. But they both felt it. The familiarity. The warm hum between them. It made you want to slip from the safety of your parents and stand beside him, as though his shadow was more protection than the whole parade your own family brought with them. You wondered if he'd felt the same.
Three nights later, you had dreamed of him. A bit older, hand in his as he raised it to his lips. His eyes had never left yours. As a young girl it made you blush. Now...
--------------------------------
You made a breathy sound as his tongue lathed the mark he had made, moving with a lazy carelessness across your pulse, hungry above all else, uncaring for decorum. He wanted to devour you entirely. He wanted you to see you helpless and delirious against him, just as you were now. As you were in all his dreams.
He knew you'd had them all too. His eyes on you at their wedding. His tongue against yours, moans and tastes and hunger. You watching from the arena as he slaughtered man after man, coated and heaving. He felt like a beast.
"Feyd-" His name barely formed, like a prayer from your lips.
His eyes nearly lolled in his head at the way you sounded, and he dragged his wanting mouth up to meet yours. Wet and wanting. Feyd's free hand shifted to engulf your slender neck, moving your head against his mouth to deepen the kiss, taste all of you. Consume.
The Na-Baron was all muscle and prowess, a looming figure that practically dwarfed you. The spanse of his shoulders alone were sinful, and deep down you loved how it felt to be completely in his grasp. Guiding you in your movements.
Feyd's tongue sought yours as much as he could, controlling and demanding - but you were a needy little thing too, weren't you? In the haze of passion you were pressing into him - leaning just as much towards his heat as he was pushing you both together. You sucked his plush bottom lip into your mouth - unable to help yourself. After all, why was he made so beautiful, if not to kiss? He was quick to follow, biting your own with a growl that made your knees practically give, and following with his greedy tongue.
"You're going to be my wife." the words are a promise, his eyes glittering under the low light; shadows flashign with the coming storm. You part your mouth as though to taste him again, a helpless 'please' slipping past as you arch in his grasp.
Feyd practically took you then and there. Enter the nearest room... make all his dreams a reality. His patience was nearly worn thin. Years of waiting, of hunger. And now it was here. You were in his reach, that tempting little waist; those hips. It made him absolutely insane.
He wets his lips, gaze feverish.
"tomorrow. tomorrow sweetness, hmm? Can wait that long?" He intends to tease you, but he knows he speaks to himself, his jaw locking as he adjusts his arms to press you against him.
You're so fucking soft. It makes him groan. Of all the things he's known in his life, softness was not one of them, save for the flashes of you in his dreams. He craved you like a creature starved. Thoughts of you made him fight better. Made him kill easier.
There's a rumble suddenly of a drone; Harkonnen orders breaking the silence in distorted code. The words don't make sense to your ears. Not yet anyway. You hope to make progress in the language, but it was a challenge; more than others. The variety of tones were a feat for any foreigner to take on; but this was to be your home. A lady of harkonnen would learn her husband's native tongue.
You know he has to leave.

austin and me || part three
summary: after the nine months of your pregnancy have come and gone, you and austin are finally welcoming your baby into your world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“y/n, baby? are you awake?” you heard austin’s voice ask. the room was dark but you saw light from the living room pooling in as he opened the door.
“hey.” you said softly. you reached over to turn on your lamp, austin moving to the bed to help you sit up. “how long have i been asleep?” you asked.
“at least the few hours i’ve been home. not sure when you actually fell asleep after i left though.” he said softly, kneeling down next to you. “you felling okay?”
“not any worse than normal. i’ve just felt super tired these past couple of days.” you sighed, beginning to sit up. austin helped you stand and you waddled over to the bathroom. you looked at your stomach in the mirror, rubbing it softly.
these nine months have flown by and you couldn’t believe you were coming up on the end of your pregnancy. you were nervous to start this next chapter of your life, but you were excited to finally meet your baby. you found out you were having a girl, and already had a name picked out. the nursery was painted, furnished, and already full of toys and clothes. your family and friends had you pretty well set after your baby shower, so you were practically drowning in baby gear at this point.
you stood at the bathfroom counter, admiring your belly in the mirror, your hand resting softly against it. your baby began kicking, your heart fluttering at her excitement.
“oop, i hope i didn’t wake you, sweet girl.” you said softly. you walked back over to the bed and sat down, getting back into the only position that allowed you to fully relax and be comfortable without putting too much weight on your pressure points. austin climbed into bed next to you, turning on a movie. it was one that you both had seen a bunch, so you didn’t pay much attention to it.
“what do you want for dinner?” austin asked you after a while.
“mmm, i’m not sure. i’m up for anything really.” you said through a yawn.
“i better get you something quick before you fall asleep again.” austin laughed. he whipped up something light and quick for you to have something to eat. you sat up in bed, taking the plate from austin and setting it on your belly.
“gonna miss having this table.” you joked as you began eating. “at least i’ll be able to see my feet again soon.”
“silver lining.” austin laughed through a mouth full of food. you finished eating and you lounged in bed for a while before you both fell asleep.
a few hours later, austin woke up to use the bathroom. when he came back, he heard you breathing heavier than normal, and noticed you trembling. he rushed over to your side of the bed and shook you awake.
“y/n? baby, wake up.” he said, concern heavy in his voice. your eyes flitted open, and you shifted to move, feeling a wet spot on the bed underneath you. you were suddenly fully awake, realizing what was happening.
“my water broke.” you said, looking over to him. as if your muscles heard you, they instantly began twisting in your abdomen, your first contraction coursing through your body. you felt your face contort, austin holding your hand and coaching through your breathing exercises. you took a deep breath once it finally finished, locking eyes with austin. “yeah, it’s definitely time. this baby is coming.”
austin helped you out of bed and you started getting ready while austin was flustered trying to get everything together. you stood at your vanity, quickly but calmly getting ready. you threw on a pair of sweats and a hoodie, pulling your hair into a pony tail. austin was pacing the room, as if he was looking for everything you needed but couldn’t find anything. he was frantic, more frantic than you'd ever seen him.
“aus, baby.” you said, grabbing his hand. he stopped dead in his tracks, melting under your gaze. you rubbed your thumb across the back of his hand. “breathe, for me. please.” you said. you and him took a deep breath together, and held it for a few seconds before exhaling.
“sorry.” he said quietly, resting his forehead against yours.
“we got this. we’re gonna be okay.” you said, reaching up to kiss him. “all we need is the hospital bag, by the door. it’s been there for a week.” you laughed.
“right, right.” he said, shaking his head. “i’m sorry.”
“it’s okay.” you laughed. just then another contraction hit, clouding your brain, the worst pain you’d ever experienced for the next minute. “alright, yep. we gotta go.”
the next few hours passed as you waited impatiently to be fully dilated. your back was hurting, your contractions were getting worse, and you were unable to find any position that you could lay or sit in that didn’t hurt. austin tried to help in any way, making recommendations, trying to help you off your joints, but nothing was working. you could tell on his face that austin was feeling helpless and was kicking himself for not being able to do anything, but you reassured him that you appreciated his help anyway.
“i wanted to try without with the epidural, but i cannot bare this.” you said, out of breath as another contraction ended.
“are you sure?” austin asked, and you nodded. he headed towards the door and walked down the hall to find your nurse. after a while, you watched as they both walked into the room. you looked over at the nurse who had wheeled a cart into the room, full of needles and medication. your eyes widened as you watched her fill the large syringe with a needle you swore was the size of a knitting needle. austin met your gaze and could tell you were nervous.
“oh hell.” you gulped once you fully realized how large the needle was.
“you got this.” austin said, taking your hand in his. he placed his hand on the other side of your head, holding you against his chest as the nurse gave you your injection. you took a sharp breath in, holding it for as long as you could. austin stood with you, comforting you and rubbing your back. once the syringe was empty, and the nurse removed the needle, the fuzzy numbness began coursing through your legs and lower back. you were finally able to lay on your back a little bit while you waited to be fully dilated.
once it was finally time to start pushing, austin stood at your head, holding your hand in his, coaching you through your breathing, offering words of encouragement, and cheering you on. as soon as you started pushing, you swore you blacked out. by the time everything was said and done, you were beyond exhausted, but you were more than happy to have your beautiful baby girl into the world.
“here she is!” your doctor cheered, carrying your baby over to you and laying her on your chest. you were a sobbing mess, and austin was crying over you as you held your baby. she was perfect in every way and you couldn’t believe that she was yours.
that night, you spent it getting in any sleep that you could. you worked with the nurses to get on an appropriate feeding schedule that was ideal for the baby, and still allowed you to sleep as much as you could. the baby was in and out of the room with her nurse, austin was asleep on the couch in your recovery room, and you finally slept a full night that night. the first full night’s sleep you had since you’d gotten pregnant.
the next day, you and austin continued getting acclimated to your new schedule. by that afternoon, you were accepting visitors, and after a while, your room was full of the people you loved. yours and austin’s families, both the ashley’s in his life (his sister, and tisdale), baz, catherine, riley, priscilla, and harper and finley had gathered around your room, and were beyond excited to meet the baby.
“okay, okay. i promised priscilla she would be the first one i introduced the baby to.” you announced as they started to ask about holding her. priscilla smiled as she moved to your side of the bed, holding out her arms. you handed her the baby, priscilla smiling down at her.
“so, what are we calling this little one?” priscilla asked you, stroking her thumb across baby's cheek. you looked up at austin and smiled at him, encouraging him to speak.
“everyone, meet presley anne marie.” he announced proudly.
“anne for austin’s mom, lori, marie for lisa marie, and presley, for the family that took us in and loved us as their own.” you explained. priscilla looked at you with tears in her eyes. you looked around at everyone else, meeting their tear soaked eyes. they all expressed the same sentiment about how beautiful the name was.
everyone mingled for a little bit, holding and marveling at presley. you could already tell that she loved the attention as she smiled up at everyone that held her. you didn’t have visitors for too long, as they didn’t want to continue keeping you from sleep. as it got closer to the evening, everyone had left. except for priscilla. she hung back for a while, watching you and austin interact with your baby girl. she sat in a chair across the room, memories flashing in her mind, back to the day that lisa marie was born. of course, there were ample visitors, except it was reporters and photographers. but she remembered how excited elvis was when lisa marie was born. he loved her so much and even though they only had a short time together, she was his entire world.
priscilla still saw a lot of elvis in austin, and couldn’t help but shed a tear watching him interact with his newborn the same way elvis interacted with lisa marie when she was born. she’d thought about both elvis and lisa marie a lot in the months of your pregnancy, and at your wedding. she wished so badly that lisa marie could be here for all of these moments.
you’d mustered up some strength to walk over to her, sitting on the arm of the recliner she sat in.
“how come every time i see you, you’re crying?” you asked her.
“im just so happy for you and austin. it makes me think about my pregnancy with lisa marie. she was my first baby, and this is your first baby. your pregnancy has been bringing back a lot of memories for me. they were happy memories, but they’re still painful to relive when i’m the only one still here who was a part of them.” she sighed, squeezing your hand. her last sentence hit you like a ton of bricks. you felt so sad for priscilla, knowing that she has not only outlived her first husband, but her first child as well.
“i hate hearing that i’m bringing on bad memories for you.” you sighed, taking her hand in yours.
“not bad memories, just ones that i wish i didn’t have alone. but im excited that i still get to be part of new ones. and especially with you.” she said, smiling up at you.
“i will have you for as long as you’d like to be a part of them.” you said, returning the smile.
priscilla stayed with you for a little bit longer before she left, wishing you, austin, and presley a good night before exiting the room. you stood at presley’s cart, marveling down at her. as you studied her face, she looked like a perfect mix and yours and austin's best features. she was the most beautiful baby in the world and you couldn’t believe she was yours.
“how are you felling, mama?” austin asked you, walking up behind you and squeezing your arms.
“a little tired. but content, mostly. im glad little one is finally here, and i cant wait to take her home.” you said, leaning into austin’s chest.
“me too.” austin said, resting his head on yours. “she’s perfect.” he said softly.
“the most perfect.”
