Harrisco and neurodivergence

This!! I think a lot about Harrisco & neurodivergence - I honestly feel like they're both on the autism spectrum, just at different points on the spectrum

Harry goes non verbal when he's upset, he has meltdowns. Cisco stims constantly by eating candy & typically does not drive.

They share a special interest in movies and science and also movie-grade-science. They both communicate, sometimes exclusively in movie quotes. They both either use excessive sarcasm or completely don't understand usage of sarcasm.

I would love to see Cisco be like a millennial / gen Z tho that like shamelessly stims and is like "yeah I'm same fooding so I've had big belly burger three times in three days"

Harry on the other hand could be over here pointing out autistic characters to Cisco and talking about how Rick from Rick and Morty is autistic , abed from community, Regan from inside job ...

I feel like Cisco would teach Harry how to be proud to be autistic / not be afraid to stim and Harry could show Cisco how to see his favorite characters as someone similar to himself

Missing You

Drarry Discord Drabble/Drawble Challenge, April. Prompt: ‘flourish’, stained glass, 117 word restriction.

A/N: Harry is autistic and unmasking is discussed.

I imagined, for the drawble, that Draco and Harry were watching as a butterfly landed on Draco’s finger. It represents Harry’s journey of self acceptance and love, learning to unmask and reclaim the parts of himself he’d pushed down.

Draco’s heart ached as he laid in bed, missing his boyfriend. He closed his eyes and an image appeared in his mind.

It was lopsided and radiant and a little cheeky…

Draco knew that smile, with the affectionate gleam that meant it was only for him.

Tenderness washed over Draco when he thought about the cute dimples it revealed in Harry’s cheeks and the crinkles in the corner of his eyes—yet neither compared to his sign of completely unfettered happiness and excitement.

In those moments, Harry would stim by clapping enthusiastically.

He felt safe and comfortable to be his authentic self in his loved ones presence, especially Draco’s.

Learning to unmask was a difficult but rewarding process, much like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon and spreading its wings. Harry was reclaiming and loving parts of himself that he had pushed down for a long time.

Draco’s thoughts of Harry slipped away as he drifted to sleep, while a familiar warmth remained closely cradled in his chest.

There was nothing more wonderful than seeing someone embrace themselves.
