Much mystery & folklore surrounds these beautiful creatures. I’m sure this is a Leucistic hare, often referred to as Ghost/Blue/Silver/Grey hare. Quite rare but seen occasionally so very lucky to see one!

28/10/2022-Part 1 of 2: Lakeside lunch time walk and bits at home
It was an autumnal delight to see two Jays at Lakeside at lunch time, soon after seeing a couple of beautiful Dunnocks I took the fourth picture in this photoset of one and a chattering Wren which I got a smashing view of. Birds I’d not seen at Lakeside for a little bit. Great Crested Grebe, a Coot reflecting nicely on the lake I took the eighth picture in this set of this for a change I saw two rather than one today and Greylag Geese seen both at Lakeside by the shore of beach lake at Lakeside and flying past the house in numbers were other bird highlights today. Such captivating sights. I loved hearing a cackling Green Woodpecker too. Also of an autumnal theme at Lakeside at lunch time as you see more of them as the season goes on were some lovely views of three Grey Squirrels in the woods. I finally got a photo of one after a few times trying or nearly trying at Lakeside for photos of them and seeing a fair few lately.
The weather was so warm for the time of year especially in bits of sun today that I saw a couple of butterflies, the one at lunch time a Small White it was lovely to see flitting around. Butterflies in October isn’t exactly uncommon but I don’t recall seeing Small White this late before which shows the ever changing world we are living in.
I also had a very interesting day and lunch time walk with flowers/plants with a nice selection seen, some I would say are quite hardily out in these months and some straggling. A bright buttercup and a memorable summer one red campion which I took the ninth picture in this photoset of in the area beside Monks Brook where I hadn’t been for a while the path is still a bit overgrown a key example of these. Possible cleavers or they may have been bedstraw leaves, viper’s-bugloss which I took the sixth picture in this photoset of, chamomile, daisies, bramble flower I believe, comfrey one of my flowers of the year which I’d not seen at Lakeside before in the area by the lovely looking Monks Brook and some rosemary in the garden area by the visitor centre were other lovely plants to see at lunch time. I took the first two pictures in this photoset of nice red flowers emerged recently on the balcony at home, enjoying shining fuchsia in the sun and a big rose in the back garden today too.
There were some great views at Lakeside today and on the way, I took the third of autumn leaves on a tree, fifth, seventh of autumn leaves scattered on the path and tenth picture in this photoset of views today. They were saying on BBC Autumnwatch (I loved the series again this week, such inspirational and important TV) last night something I may have taken for granted until this year especially but 2020 and 2021 too how nature uplifts your mood as my hobby of watching nature has been something I’ve done since I was a child so it is natural for me. I mention so often how my lunch time walks particularly the working from home Lakeside ones are a great release in a working day and after my lunch time walk today and all the wildlife and scenery I’d taken in during it I felt very happy. Two blogs tonight about different parts of the day due to reducing the amount of photos to tweet by posting some on Tumblr only as I took a lot and in and part 2 is shorter, so within it will be my full wildlife sightings summary for the day coming up in 15 minutes.

Exactly one time while playing Skyrim did the radiant quest system work, if not as intended, then in a compelling way. I got that radiant quest, I think in Kynesgrove, to retrieve a shield that the town drunk lost in a cave. The randomly selected destination location was a dungeon I’d never encountered before, inhabited by a disgruntled imperial citizen who, after losing her husband to the stormcloaks and receiving only perfunctory acknowledgement of the loss from the imperials, had turned to necromancy in attempt to piledrive both sides of the conflict in retaliation. Which is a fantastic beat, in the sense that you’re obviously going to get attempted third-party spoilers of this nature in a setting where necromancy is an accessible area of study to grieving widows. Also a fantastic beat in that it wasn’t directly signposted but was instead something I ran into on a completely unrelated job that spiraled into something more involved. All bethesoft radiant quests should work like that- premade hooks modularly connecting to premade Dungeons With A Situation- and not once should I be given five consecutive kill orders on subtly differently colored dragons at autumnwatch tower

Official confirmation from the BBC that The Goes Wrong Show is cancelled
Tumblr media
We will continue to shift funding away from content primarily aimed at broadcast channels. We have already cut 1,000 originated hours on television. That has meant tough decisions on long-running titles like Holby City, Doctors, A Question of Sport and Autumnwatch, and newer titles like I Can See Your Voice, Freeze the Fear, King Gary, The Goes Wrong Show and The Witchfinder. We have reduced spend on new programmes on BBC Four and BBC Two
There is not much info beyond this, but you can find the article addressing the future of the BBC here
Thanks to grey22_ on discord for the heads up!

Workshop Update: Post-Commission
Good morning/afternoon/evening! The Workshop staff had a fantastic meeting this past Wednesday, and we wanted to drop a few new developments to the community.
On Tuesday, we held our fourth session with our VA Paul Warren; the long awaited Romance questline as well as the script for Blood and Fire are finally recorded! However, we decided to pull the script for 'Pieces of the Past' at the last minute; it was less than 7 lines, seemed incongruent with the tone set in Blood and Fire, and almost certainly would be scrapped for a script overhaul after we transition to producing Workshop Original scripts. We will be presenting a poll to the community to obtain permission to rework this quest specifically for the 1.0 update.
Session four puts us at 1,093 lines re-recorded, with only 121 lines left in the original script. While this number will definitely grow a bit due to the necessary new lines for nicknames and the platonic Autumnwatch route, we don't expect to need more than 35 - 45 extra lines.
With that being said, we are looking to have an even larger surplus than originally projected -- $1100!!! --, which works out to about 500 lines of content we still have funds to produce. We came up a slew of different options to present to the community that we're still refining, and will be pushing out a few posts and polls to get your thoughts, suggestions and feedback in the coming week. In the meantime as we get closer and closer to a 1.0 release, we're handling some end-of-the-year tidying; tweaking our Discord channels, organizing our staff files, and finalizing the Youtube video. We hope to have more information rolling out to the community throughout the upcoming week. As always, we thank you for your donations, your ideas, and your overwhelming support!

(@mulberrycafe's reincarnation characters have Inspired™ me)
Please only use they/them to refer to Gizmo!
-
It's thirteen years after the defeat of Alduin. Gizmo the Small, the Dragonborn, is 24 years old.
They're on their way home to Whiterun after visiting Lucien and Kaidan in Autumnwatch Lodge. They decide to take the path through the mountains, and they stop at the now repaired Helgen.
While in the tavern, a little boy runs up to them. He seems to be a half-elf, appearing mostly human but with pointed ears.
"Are you the Dragonborn?"
Gizmo looks down at the young boy. He looks to be about 11, the age Gizmo themself was when they saved the world.
"Yes, that's me. Do you want an autograph or something?"
The boy shakes his head. "No, I..." He fiddles with his hands, trailing off. "I know you."
Gizmo looks the kid up and down. There's nothing familiar about him... They don't recognize him.
They turn back to their food. "No, kid, I don't think you-"
"I've hurt you before."
Gizmo's blood runs cold. They slowly look back to the boy, seeing him staring at them with a somewhat worried look.
"You... What?"
The boy suddenly steps back, looking afraid. "W-well, I didn't hurt you, but... I did... Before?"
Gizmo look at the boy, trying to think. Why would this kid say that? They look into his red eyes.
...red eyes?
Not only are they red, they appear reptilian.
"Kid, what's your name?"
The boy lowers his head, barely speaking above a whisper.
"...Alvin..."
...Alvin? Why does that name sound familiar...
Alvin.
Gizmo gently lifts the boy's chin, looking at him intently.
Alvin.
He has shoulder-length jet-black hair. It's darker that Gizmo thought hair could be.
He has those deep red eyes. They seem to hold much more knowledge than the boy himself.
Alvin.
Alvin..?
Alduin.
This little boy... Is Alduin.
Gizmo looks back at him. He looks scared.
"I... I remember. Well, not really... But I know what happened. You... Killed me..."
Gizmo thinks for a moment. This kid can't really be Alduin... Can he?
"Zu'u dahmaan... Nuz Zu'u dreh ni laan wah..."
That settles it.
Gizmo just met the reincarnation of the being that they killed when they were eleven years old.
"Alvin... Where are your parents?"
Alvin shakes his head. "Gone. They figured it out... They were scared of me, so they left."
Gizmo stands up, laying their hand on Alvin's shoulder.
"Alvin... How would you like to move to Whiterun?"
