My math isn’t mathing, I had an idea for a AWAE fic, the oc would be a person of colour, and originally they were going to be the child of Bash (had them at a young age.) I searched that bash was born in 1877, and apparently season 2 is set in 1897 which my calculator says would make Bash 20 (I always thought he’d be in his 30s) and season 3 is apparently in 1899, meaning bash was 22 or something when Delphi was born, Mary around 30 am I correct? (Wiki saying she’s born in 1865) like, if I were to write this, would it be possible to age up bash or would that throw a lot of things off?

so I’ve been rewatching Anne With an E quite a bit, as it used to be my comfort show, and I’ve seen a bunch of people angry that Ka’kwet hasn’t gotten her story resolved. I want a happy ending as much as the next person, don’t get me wrong, but that’s pretty much it. The residential school system absolutely bulldozed millions of families and lives and cultures. I’m nonnative myself, but I’m really surprised how many people don’t know about the residential schools. It’s really sad to see how uninformed about how dirty the US and Canadian government did indigenous peoples. Chances are Ka’kwet didn’t get to see her family again, or died there on the school grounds, like thousands of other children from diseases, starvation or abuse, buried in mass unmarked graves. THESE WERE CHILDREN!!!!!!! I’m also surprised by how little people are talking about this. Anyway I just think that this history is incredibly important…

I finally got the bookmark that i made a while ago digitalized, and the results are better than i could've imagined! Ah, the wonders of Ctrl+Z, amiright?

I also tested out some new brushes for inking and coloring and I've fallen in love with the one i used for inking, it's so much fun!!! And so textured!!! 10/10 I'll be using this forever now.

I didn't make any major changes to the designs, it's still the same scenes + quote combos as before, just now with way better shading/lighting effects. Bonfire scene my beloved,,,, reunion scene my beloved!!!!

the scene where gilbert leaves his letter in anne's bedroom is so quietly tender.

look at the way he goes slowly up the stairs and into her room. he's cherishing the moment. everything there is so special and sacred because it belongs to her, it's hers. he's drinking in this last chance to see anne as she really is, even if she's not around.

probably because she's not around — she never really lets him in until the last.
