These four have me gripped by my heart, and I cannot help but imagine them in the funniest OT4 ever.

Three Saiyans and a Cerealian.

Brainrot ramblings beneath.

I have Fantasy AUs of them now; sometimes they’re all adventurers, sometimes they’re all knights, sometimes they’re all royalty from different kingdoms, or even the same kingdom. My primary take has Gine as a paladin, Fasha as a barbarian, Muezli as a rogue, and Nion as an alchemist, where they’re all reluctantly brought together and end up bonding over how similar they really are while also finding respect in each other’s differences.

I have modern day AUs where they’re just vibing and not being dead.

I have them as one of the central ships for my Transformers and Dragon Ball crossover on a Discord server I’m part of that’s been going since last April.

They get to be strong enough to do things like break canon MUI Goku from the Tournament of Power over their knees.

Goku has two whole brothers now; three, depending on how solid I am on headcanon Turles to be Nion’s kid somehow.

I’m already thinking of a new modern day AU where they’re all single moms who’d each been with Bardock before and meet up at his funeral; shenanigans happen from there, and there’d also be a B-Plot about their kids all having to learn to get along with each other.

They’d sit on a couch in a massive pile of blankets, sipping on hot chocolate as they watch one of those sappy Christmas movies that Gine picked up; Fasha, Muezli, and Nion probably wouldn’t be wholly into it, but seeing Gine’s smile throughout the whole thing is worth it.

The Transformers x Dragon Ball AU forces them through the worst self-hatred and imposter syndrome conceivable, but it’s all made worth it when they realize that they genuinely love each other in a way that can never be understated.

They try to have a small wedding with just their friends and family, but Bulma, being Bulma, gets way too invested and sends it over the top accordingly.

I have an AU where they’re just office workers and also single moms who find solace in each other as the days go by.

I have another AU where one of them’s just a mortal, the other’s their best friend with a major crush, and the last two are an angel and devil fighting over the former over something petty; it then slowly escalates into all of them genuinely being really into each other through loads of romcom and sitcom type shenanigans.

I have an AU where they’re in RWBY as a major hunter team.

I have an AU where they’re Cybertronians; sometimes they’re all Autobots, sometimes they’re all Decepticons, and sometimes it’s a mix of both, depending on my mood.

I’ve had thoughts about them in Mortal Kombat, where they either become new characters entirely or take the place of Scorpion, Harumi, Smoke, and Kuai Liang.

A Thomas the Tank Engine AU sees them being Gordon’s crew in the modern day, where they and the Number Four have to put up with each other after the latter gets off on the wrong foot with them; their growth comes during a tour across the mainland, where Gordon’s old crew are helping them to finish up the last of their training; this is also a proposal that I have in mind for a co-op project I’m working on in yet another Discord server.

All four of them died without much to them; Fasha and Muezli both did so for the sake of Bardock’s development. Gine and Nion just got wiped out on Planet Vegeta by Frieza.

They’re kinda nothing burgers, and yet I just can’t help but latch onto them like they’re life preservers in the middle of a cold, storm-ridden ocean.

I have many questions that only a select few seem to really care about, but not necessarily as deeply as I seem to; what exactly did Gine and Fasha think of each other? What would Muezli and Gine have thought of each other if they ever met? What would Nion think of any of them, and they think of Nion? What would they think of the others in general? Would it be respect, reluctant or not? Would it be contempt? Hatred? Who knows?

They are my Roman Empire.

They fundamentally mean way too much to me, given that they all died as either background characters, plot devices, or some mix of both.

I have a Star Wars AU with them where Gine is a Jedi, Fasha’s a Storm trooper, Muezli’s a bounty hunter, and Nion’s a scientist for the empire before Order 66 where they also get brought together through sheer circumstance and learn to bond with each other; they run away post Order 66 and then end up settling on some random little planet that’s out of the way.

They keep each other grounded.

They feel comfortable enough around each other to regularly poke fun and make jabs at each other, but so help you if you do the same to any of them while the others are in earshot.

Somewhere in the back of my head lies a Dragon Ball Z: Abridged version of my Transformers x Dragon Ball AU where one of their running jokes is that they’re all absolutely unhinged for each other without the other knowing; when they finally do get to know about what the other is like, those tendencies somehow get even worse.

I’m going mad, and it’s great.

I like them in theory. I mean duh?? Goku’s dad? Rad as fuck

He doesn’t get enough canon focus. He really doesn’t. He got a little screen time in Xenoverse 2 and Super, but they’ve changed his personality so much, and I don’t think Xenoverse 2 counts as ‘canon’.

LEAVE THEM ALONEEEE. How many times have we watched him die to Frieza? In movies and games and stuff? Leave him alone.

No one understands him but me and my circle of mutuals. His personality has been horrible morphed by FUNimation, and then Toriyama himself in Super

Banger design. His blood-soaked headband? Rad af. No I’m not including Super.

Doesn’t get enough fanon focus. He gets some fanon focus, but so many people write him as a tragic hero/loving father and it makes me cry every time. He’s canonically a terrible fucking father.

Like them better as part of a dynamic. I love his dynamic with Team Bardock (Fasha/Celipa, Pumbukin/Shugesh, Tora/Toma, and Toteppo/Borgos). I may not like his changes in Super, but I do love his relationship with Gine.

I know what you are. I interpreted this as “Character is Not Straight™️” and Z Bardock is certainly not straight.

I need them to be weirder. I need Saiyans in general to be weirder.

Transing their gender as we speak. I don’t think Saiyans really have the same gender social construct that Earth does, and I of course love a good trans HC, but I genuinely dont think it really works for Saiyans? If anyone else has any trans Saiyan HCs I won’t judge ofc, but I personally don’t.

I hate them (I think about them constantly). I do ofc think about him constantly, but I would never say I hate him.

They gave me new mental problems. Tragic hero Super Bardock (as opposed to Z Bardock) has certainly given me mental problems. Like from DBS: Broly. He gave absolutely everything and his priority being his two kids? All for Goku to just forget who he is? Genuinely some of Toriyama’s best writing.

I need them to be less weird. No.

Hate all their popular ships. I think the only “popular” ships are Bardock x Gine (which I adore) and Bardock x Toma (which I’m also absolutely on board with).

I don’t get the hype. There isn’t ENOUGH hype tbh.

Autism beam. He’s the most autistic bitch except maybe Goku, which makes sense since autism is genetic, we just know where Goku gets it from. Although I’d also make the argument that Gine is autistic, too.

Gine and Caulifla are inseparable. From the moment these two were born on planet Vegeta, their ki collided amongst each other as they were drawn to each other almost immediately. As the two grew up, they decided to live in a house together. Gine would take care of the house and cook while Caulifla would go on missions and make sure she was strong enough to protect herself and Gine.

Lucky for the both of them they were enlisted in team Bardock, though Gine was a bit hesitant to be in such a team. Caulifla still kept her strong vow of protecting Gine.

Today was their day off while the rest of team Bardock was off doing their own missions. Caulifla and Gine didn't mind, as long as they had each other to keep company.

The enchanted forest is one of the saiyans' favorite spots to go to for relaxation. Caulifla found it while adventuring around once, and then the very next day she brought Gine along with her. Since then, they always came here to get away from their troubles or to ease some stress.

"I can't believe it's almost been a year since we joined team Bardock!" Gine declares happily, her tail wagging as it thumps on the grass.

Caulifla rests back on the ground with her hands behind her head. She allows the tree's cherry blossoms to provide shade. "Yeah, who would've thought we'd be the two lucky girls to be on that squad? Pretty cool huh?" She says with a smirk but keeps an eye on Gine.

Gine grasps a fistful of the grass before swallowing her embarrassment. A flow of scarlet takes her cheeks as she then says, "Uhhh, listen . . . Caulifla . . . I believe I've grown feelings for someone on the Bardock squad." Gine could practically feel her heart hammering in her chest.

"Really?" Caulifla opens both eyes as she turns her head to look at Gine. "I . . . Have fallen for someone too." She admits quickly.

Gine smiles wide, glad that someone had taken the heart of her best friend. After all, she deserves to be happy. If Gine had to assume who Caulifla had fallen for, it had to be Tora. Tora goofed a lot with her and would tag team with her if she wasn't with Bardock. Caulifla talked to him more than she did with Fasha, and they had lunch a couple times.

Caulifla couldn't believe that Gine finally found someone she had fallen for. Once upon a time, did Caulifla consider her more than a friend, but figured that maybe Gine was only attracted to the opposite gender. Then again, she was starting to get really close to Fasha and wouldn't be surprised if she already had a sexual thing going on with Fasha.

"That's amazing! How about on the count of three, we reveal who we like?" Gine says, keeping that big smile.

"Yeah, sure thing!"

"One . . ."

"Two . . ."

"Three!"

"Bardock!" They both say in unison and then gasp in horror. The saiyans were too stunned to speak and chose to be silent for a few moments.

" . . . N-No way . . . You like Bardock too?!" Caulifla says, sitting up slowly as she stares at Gine long and hard.

Gine felt ashamed that she had fallen for a man that Caulifla loved as well. " . . . I can stop liking him so you can be his mate." Gine sheepishly says while her heart sank to her stomach. She'll get over Bardock overtime, but she would never be happy being with Bardock while Caulifla was secretly hurting. She winces as she feels Caulifla's hands grip her shoulders.

"Gine, what the hell! I'd rather you be happy with Bardock! Forget about me, I'd rather value your friendship than my own happiness!" Caulifla says as the two look at each other, unable to read the mixture of emotions that laid in each other's eyes.

"B-But, Caulifla . . . I love you too and would rather keep this relationship we have now instead of sacrificing it for some dumb temporary feelings we have for our captain!" Gine says, placing her hands on Caulifla's waist as she then throws herself forward, hugging Caulifla tightly. A radish red takes her cheeks as her eyes soften.

Caulifla hugs back, squeezing her eyes shut as she tries her best not to cry while holding Gine in her arms. Their tails numbly outstretch towards each other and grip each other tightly, causing the saiyans to shiver.

"Hehe, okay Gine. How about this," she curls her forefinger under Gine's chin and places her thumb on the end of it. "Whoever Bardock chooses as his mate, we just accept it."

Gine nods only once, but was so unsure about what the future would hold. Sure, she would love one with Bardock, but couldn't see a future without Caulifla. "Okay, but I'm fine without a mate, as long as it means you stay in my life." Gine says as Caulifla grits her teeth, tightening her hold on Gine.

"You can be such an idiot sometimes." And before Gine could respond, Caulifla had pulled her in for a kiss, pressing her lips on hers for a few seconds—then pulling away, just in case Gine wasn't into girls too. Caulifla hangs her head as she hides the scarlet flush that took her face. "I-I'm sorry, I-I shouldn't have kissed you without your consent . . . I just couldn't help it."

Gine smiles, but of course Caulifla couldn't see this reaction. "Caulifla?"

Caulifla hesitates to look at her, "Y-Yeah?"

"Now you're being an idiot." Gine says, and practically lunges at her, pinning her down the grass as Caulifla squeaks in response. Placing both hands on Caulifla's face, Gine gifts her a kiss of her own. Caulifla's eyes widen in surprise as she never expected this from Gine, but Kami she loved it.

Caulifla pulls Gine closer, spreading her legs so that Gine's waist would lower down on hers. It was too bad that Gine chose to wear the dress armor rather than her casual team Bardock armor. Breaking the kiss, Caulifla gently raises Gine back, "How much further do you want to go?" She asks, breathless.

Gine's gentle obsidian orbs gaze into those of Caulifla as she smiles. In a husky and seductive voice Gine replies with, "All the way."

Caulifla smirks, pulling Gine in for another kiss as Gine's tail wags. Gine kisses back with much fervor as Caulifla's fingers grip at the waistband of Gine's long pink armor skirt and tugs on it. Gine grins into the kiss, helping Caulifla pull down her skirt as she stretches it a bit to let her tail free. Down the skirt goes, leaving Gine in her black battle tights. She breaks the kiss to take a look at Caulifla who was trapped under a love spell casted by Gine.

"You know, I don't want to be the only one with armor coming off." She says with a sheepish smile.

Caulifla smirks up at Gine as she lowers a hand down her waist, nearing her ass. "Guess you wanna see me naked too, huh? What's stopping you Gine?"

Gine returns the smirk as she plays with the red straps of Caulifla's armor, lowering it down her shoulders as Caulifla works with herself to move her arms up to allow Gine to pull it off. Finally it comes off, leaving Caulifla's breasts exposed to Gine. Her cheeks aflame as Gine stares at them, mesmerized by the soft mounds of her breasts and her perky nipples.

Out of curiosity sake, why do you ship Bardock and Fasha? Most people new in the fandom (well and some old timers too) ship Bardine. What made you ship them? Also the fandom is split on DBMinus. I rarely find anyone in the middle ground, I have a feeling you might hate it but what's your stance on it and Gine as a character?

Because DB Minus is actual trash and does nothing but piss all over Bardock’s character as well as anything we’ve ever learned about the Saiyans before and after Minus came out. It literally just turns him into a carbon copy of Jor-el.

Fasha is the longer established character and the one character you’d expect Bardock to get with. He’s an alpha male and a powerful Saiyan, as well as the leader of the team. He’s rising very quickly in terms of power. I can see that making him extremely attractive to Saiyan women. We don’t get much of her but we know she’s just as tough and battle crazy as any other Saiyan. We know from Super that Saiyan men love tough and strong willed women. Sure it’s also partly that she’s the only significant female Saiyan we see in the Father of Goku special, but she had to be tough to get on Bardock’s team. It seems natural that Bardock and Fasha would gravitate towards each other. They’re both tough warriors and I can see Bardock getting with Fasha due to familiarity and convenience since they’re on the same team and do missions together. I can easily see them being attracted to each other.

Gine is an interesting idea for a character, but was totally wasted in Minus. The idea that there are Saiyans, or even one Saiyan, who don’t like fighting is very intriguing. How would the Saiyan culture treat them? We know Saiyans live and breathe for battle so obviously someone who doesn’t like to fight wouldn’t be treated very well. Hell Tarbel was exiled for being weak. And he was royalty! I can’t imagine that low class Saiyan would fare better than a prince when it comes to that. She’d have to make herself useful somehow, and I don’t think cutting meat would make up for that. I had the idea of making her a nurse that worked with Frieza army doctors and used her power to heal rather than fight, which makes up for her lack of passion for fighting. That’s a way you do a character like that. Not what Minus did. Bardock wouldn’t fall in love with a woman he had to save over and over again. As a Saiyan he’d resent her for it.

This man...this man... mmm~, what a man. But I had to tweak him before he ruined me forever like sir pls your son already has my heart. Since this is debut Bardock for my writing, I did do it headcanon-y again but added the extra bits as well. ♥

For as savvy in the head and roguishly charming as he can be, Bardock is a gd idiot when it comes to romance. Smart fighter but he's no Casanova. We still lovin and supportin him. Bardock strikes me as the type to be the last one to realize he has feelings for you. Maybe when the "threat" of not having you as a significant other at all rears itself.

He feels connected to you as much as he is/was with his crew, but now he's picking up the difference in how he interacts with you and them, he's putting two and two together. So he may throw a few more smiles your way, throw his arm over your shoulder when you're chatting, or promise to bring you back something valuable from his assignments.

He would promise to come back to you unharmed, but he knows what trouble he likes to get into so just be assured he'll be back alive and with a story of his battle, at least.

If anyone asked him how he felt about you prior to actively dating you or even him realizing his feelings for you, he's laying out the basic facts he knows about you as if they're compliments of your character: That one thing you're good at because everyone's good at something, or that one physical trait that distinguishes you, like being a woman. You're never in the way, so that's something to consider. You're a friend. A good friend, to boot. Even you just being loyal and trustworthy is basic common sense you should have in his opinion, but he's not holding that to anyone he's not going into battle with.

Dead ass, Toma and Fasha are a big help to why you're even together if they're around to remind him how absentminded he's being.

If the endearing qualities that make you suitable for courting are put in his head, he'll think about it briefly and then proceed to have the idea cast aside to focus on the here and now until it's brought back up, and he gives himself a chance to linger on the idea. Again, Bardock considers the bare minimum facts that would make sense to him in making you his wife. He'd have someone waiting at home for him with food, someone to have his kids, patch small wounds he feels aren't worth a trip to the healing center, your loyalty, etc. Typical low-class saiyan expectations, next to simply fighting and dying on the battlefield.

But that...sounds like a lot of fuss and work to get to. It can just come to him naturally, and he'll wait you out on that to happen. For him, that just means keep treating you like a friend when he thinks he's giving you extra attention.

If you think your chubby features put him off and fear it is the cause for him hesitating to make any moves to pursue you, you're wrong. He's just focused on getting to the next big fight and blind to everything outside of that. Don't worry, he's got it worked out in his mind somewhere to make you his wife.

His taste in a s/o may be just as common as any other saiyan male, so being a little more assertive in your demeanor would help as well. A lot.

Bardock wouldn't recognize your chubby features as something that makes you stand out, it's just part of who are you. Sticking with the same logic I once stated for Vegeta, he's not at all put-off or criticizing of your physique if you're comfortable with yourself.

If you're a little anxious about that part of yourself, he'd find it a needless thing to worry about and assure you to not get all worked up over something like that. And if anyone has a problem with the way you look, then kick their ass or let him do it for you. Nobody's allowed to give you crap for your body as long as he's around, and if you do it to yourself then he's about to personally toughen you up. Don't be down on yourself, he's got your back.

It's when you're officially together that he starts to really cater to his physical attraction to you. Most importantly, this is where his passion really starts to surface for you. You're all his now, and out of your awkward dating stage. When you're alone, he'll playfully pinch your cheeks to tease you or hold you around your waist to bring you into his side and feel how soft you are. Loves to watch your tits bounce and jiggle at the slightest motion or when you walk.

Your smile is so rewarding to him when he returns home from missions, he plays it off for his team but he truly can't wait to return to you.

His PDA is...not great? It's not bad, you can just tell he has a way of being a tad standoffish. He makes it clear that you're with him in public, he's not shy about claiming you. Turles x Gine

(This story is based on the previous relationship Gine had before Bardock. In this story Turles is Bardock’s brother.)

“Another day, another mission” Gine sighs. She has been assigned a new mission with a new team. She did not qualify for the elite teams due to her low power-level. She is now enlisted in a low-class team with one mid-class warrior. Gine is going to be the only woman on the team. She puts on her assigned uniform for the team.

Dammit, looks like it’s just gonna be me and a bunch of stuck up saiyan guys... She thought to herself. They are going to have a short meeting before heading into the mission. This is going to be the first time she meets them

Gine walked into the meeting right beside the low class warriors’ space pods. They were all tall, well built, muscly men wearing violet saiyan armor.

“Where’s the new member huh? Is it you with the ruffled hair? “ one of the men says, referring to Gine. He was tall with spikey hair.

“Hi, I’m Gine” she introduces herself.

“How disappointing... another weakling on the team. Tch... whatever just get in the pod and let’s get going.”

“I thought we were gonna have a meeting first” she looks up at the tall spikey haired man.

He put his hand over head and ruffles her hair, “you’re gonna have to keep up with us or else we’re gonna kick you out of the team. My name’s Turles, I’m the most handsome one here, if you couldn’t already tell, woman.”

Gine rolls her eyes. He wasn’t exactly wrong. Turles is the most handsome amongst these men. She doesn’t exactly have eyes for him though.

Turles gets closer to Gine’s face to intimidate her.

“you’re a brave one, woman. Just remember, you’re on MY team.”

“Grr... OUR team!” Gine hisses.

The team stares in silence and shock. None of them could dare stand up to Turles, let alone scream at him. Yet this small low class warrior had the guts to.

Turles laughs as he walks into his pod. The Saiyans get into their pods. Turles thinks about Gine. He loved her strong saiyan attitude and the bravery she showed to talk back to him. It filled his saiyan heart with joy to be faced with a woman who challenges him. He decides to give her a scouter call after a couple hours go by.

“Hey, woman.”

“T-Turles?” Gine answers sleepily.

“Yes woman, it’s the really good looking guy you were talking to this morning”

“I never said you were good looking” Gine strikes.

“TCH! Fine let’s skip the small talk. You got a boyfriend?” Turles bluntly asks.

“Yeah” Gine lies.

“Great, he doesn’t have to know.”

“What do you want?!”

“I’ll make a deal with you woman. If you date me I’ll always have your back on the team.”

Well... he is strong and kinda cute... I could date him... at least just for now. Gine thought to herself

“Fine. As long as you always protect me on missions.”

“One scratch on your body and you can break up with me.”

“Deal.”

“Listen woman, I’d never let anyone touch you.”

“Is that so?” Gine blushes a little. “Hey... don’t get me excited now i’m gonna be stuck in this pod for a while now”

“Hehe”

Their mission is not difficult. The planet had weak life with power-levels of 100-200, which is not hard at all for any saiyan. Any low-class warrior would be able to defeat the inhabitants with a couple of blasts. However, there’s top fighters on the planet who have power levels around 700, which means that when they combine together they may be a challenge for the saiyans.

The pods crash into the rocky surface of the planet and cause an explosion for the inhabitants.

“What’s going on! Mom!” one screams.

Turles gets out of the pod and stretches. He opens the door for his new girlfriend’s pod and lends his hand to help her get up like a gentleman.

“My woman Gine” Turles bows.

“You don’t have to act that way you know...”

“Allow me to finish this”

“I can fight for myself too you know! Don’t assume that I can’t fight just ‘cause I’m a woman! I can kick your ass if I wanted to!”

“Heh.. I like that attitude.”

The rest of the team blasts most of the inhabitants while the top fighters prepare for battle.

“Gine! My scouter’s broken! What does their power level read" Turles yells out across battle ground.

Gine clicks on her scouter “I checked! It says 1000!”

“Darn it!”

“I can take them all on, except the ones with a power level of over a thousand!”

“Don’t worry about them Gine just get in the pod! I’ll take care of the rest you’ve done enough”

“I won’t let you do this alone, babe”

Turles suddenly gets flustered and blushes like a little kid.

“B-babe?” He gets distracted and his embarrassment causes him to get blasted.

“TURLES!” Gine screams out.

“OWWW!!! Damn it! Gine, no don’t come near him!”

Gine refuses to listen to Turles and proceeds to get close to him to check up on him. She decides to fight alongside him and she was going to do that whether he liked it or not. She rushes at fullspeed against the enemy and kicks him in the face.

“Damn!” Turles watches in astonishment. Seeing her fight like that inspired him to fight harder. He grabs the enemy by his neck and blasts him off.

“Hehe... thank you for the help woman, or should I say... b-babe.”

17. A character trait you think is overused?

[Here I go. Getting myself in trouble again.

This is more niche and in the db rpc but definitely Saiyan OCs that are idiots, uneducated in every sense of the word (i.e. constantly asking what does x word mean, is it food? and not in a way that’s a language/cultural barrier), and all they care about is food. I feel like Shallot’s quasi-canon creation only further made this just The Thing for Saiyan OCs when he himself is essentially a carbon copy of Goku with a slightly more aggravated temper (it doesn’t help that he is basically almost by the book getting the “Goku Treatment”).

But I digress. It’s just gotten really old and it’s not even that accurate. The only Saiyan that really fits that bill to a T is Goku, but even he acts smarter than these OCs (Super aside where he I guess took too many hits to the head finally and lost any semblance of maturing he had done over the previous two series). Yes, Saiyans are def portrayed as battle-hungry people who more typically solve problems with their fists over their brains. It’s why the Colds wanted them as part of their army. BUT aside from Goku, none of them are portrayed as overly food motivated or particularly stupid. Vegeta is shown to be clever, intelligent, and he speaks eloquently. Raditz is similar. Even though it’s questionable, Nappa has to have some smarts to not only be a general, but also advisor to the king and prince. Though back to obvious canon examples. Bardock. His whole team, essentially. Borgos and Shugesh are questionable in this argument and don’t get much attention, so I’ll focus on the other two and their leader. Bardock, Fasha, and Tora show a fair amount of intelligence in the Bardock movie, even if it is not like...traditional book smarts?

Add on that all of these examples know how to pilot space ships and use advanced tech and I’d say this is a pretty strong argument: Saiyans aren’t stupid, per se. They’re like every other species with a plethora of personalities, likes and dislikes, and ranges of intelligence, and not all of them have to follow the same, boring, cookie-cutter pattern for a Saiyan.]

Glitches

Ginu Body Change Glitch!!!

Go to duel mode and select 1p v.s. COM and then select DP team battle. Then make sure to have Gohan on your team, and Captain Ginu on the team your fighting. Then when the battle starts, if Ginu does body change on Gohan he does not turn in to Gohan, he turns into Goku.
