when  curiosity  doesn't  kill  you,  other  external  factors  will  work  on  that.  this  barbie  was  supposed  to  end  up  in  california,  to  fix  the  problem,  but  little  did  she  knew  before  she  embarked  on  this  suicide  mission  that  nothing  will  go  according  to  plan.  weird  barbie  explicitly  told  her  :  drive  the  car,  row  the  boat,  fly  the  rocket,  ride  the  bike,  drive  the  van,  ride  a  snowmobile  and  finally  rollerskate  into  the  real  world.  pretty  simple,  actually.  in  theory,  that  is.  alas,  at  some  point  when  she  was  driving  the  van,  earth  quacked  beneath  her,  though  she  mistaken  it  for  a  van  problem  –  that  was  seismology  barbie's  field  of  expertise,  not  hers.  she  was  just  actress  barbie.  in  just  a  few  seconds,  she  landed  on  the  pavement,  knees  scratched  at  impact.  as  soon  as  she  batted  her  lashes  to  see  the  real  world,  anguish  takes  over  barbie's  frame  as  she  watches  in  horror  at  what  the  real  world  looks  like.

there's  thick  smoke  surrounding  the  area  and  somewhere  not  too  far  in  the  distance  something  seemed  to  burn.  everything  seemed  to  stay  still  :  time,  nature,  even  the  doll.  she  doesn't  know  how  to  react  at  first,  therefore  she  takes  a  few  to  take  in  all  that  she  sees  and  feels  and  experiences.  the  real  world  is  an  odd  place,  she  thinks  to  herself,  maybe  that's  why  i  had  to  come  here.  that  thought  alone  leaves  shivers  down  her  spine,  knowing  all  too  well  she  wasn't  some  superhero  ;  she  was  just  actress  barbie.  her  only  role  in  the  world  was  to  inspire  little  girls  that  they  can  become  actresses  too.  she  can't  save  the  world.  not  if  it's  set  ablaze  anyway.  the  picture  perfect  smile  upon  her  countenance  begins  to  fade  as  a  sentiment  started  to  dig  at  her  chest  –  must've  been  the  scorching  fire  nearby  reacting  with  the  plastic.  another  thing  to  worry  about.  but  barbie  can't  just  give  up,  she  hasn't  even  tried  to  do  anything  yet.  she  was  stuck  there,  in  the  middle  of  nowhere,  with  no  other  living  being  in  sight,  scared  at  what  she  was  seeing.  if  that  was  a  movie  set,  it  surely  was  realistic.

taking  a  deep  breath  –  and  quickly  coughing  it  back  out  –,  barbie  finally  moves  from  where  she  initially  landed.  one  step  after  another,  glancing  all  around  her.  she  was  looking  for  someone  (anyone)  that  could  help  clear  things  out  for  her.  she's  not  yet  aware  that  she  hasn't  completed  all  the  easy  steps  weird  barbie  has  told  her  ;  hopefully,  she'll  get  there,  at  some  point.  and  she  walks,  dragging  her  plastic  frame  forward,  away  from  the  source  of  warmth.  she's  glancing  around  the  houses,  but  all  lights  are  cut  out  –  the  residents  must  be  sleeping,  she  can't  disrupt  them.  and  she  walks.  it's  been  for  maybe  half  an  hour,  though  it  felt  like  forever  and  more  to  barbie,  until  she  finally  landed  her  eyes  upon  someone  in  the  distance.  she  jogs  towards  the  silhouette,  hope  twinkling  inside.

"  hi  there,  can  you  tell  me  what  happened?  "    ask  and  the  answer  shall  come  –  or  wait,  because  ken  will  always  show  up  to  the  rescue.  though  this  wasn't  barbieland.  and  ken  didn't  join  her.  she  shakes  her  head,  trying  to  brush  off  that  dreadful  thought  –  that  she's  alone  and  she  might  never  find  her  way  back  home  –  with  a  slight  smile  upon  her  visage to @shadowedvales.    "  because  this  world  seems  like  it's  falling  apart.  and  if  that's  the  case,  tell  me  what  can  i  do  to  save  it.  "    she's  confident  in  her  illusions,  but  she  has  to  start  somewhere.  losing  all  hope  would  be  like  admitting  defeat  before  even  trying.

what if tim's "yes,i love you" is a red herring?? because i swear that right after he says it, it looks like she's about to turn and look to her right (like get confirmation of it from someone monitoring the lie detector perhaps???) i keep thinking of how alexi said they're always looking to "walk a fine line with chenford" plus what eric said in the interview about a "nice little confessional of information" at the wedding ― it makes me think that the interrogation scene does not end super well (maybe awkward, maybe angsty, maybe both?) and the resolution happens at the wedding where they're dancing and that's their first (official - bc we know their track record with firsts) "i love you"

RICHARD T. JONES TELLING ERIC AND MELISSA THAT CHENFORD WAS GOING TO BE SOMETHING WHEN THEY FILMED THAT SCENE IN 2X01!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this one made me laugh bc it felt very full circle in a way? like how grey was the one who paired tim and lucy up (i wish they talk about this one day like elaborate why he paired up everyone with who he did bc it was so interesting to learn percy had requested tim be jackson's t.o. and that clearly didn't happen) and how the actor himself was also like "yeah, that's gonna happen"

i loved that they were asked if they could pinpoint when they noticed a shift between them (and their answers, i love hearing all these different perspectives). i i think part of the beauty of the slow burn is that there's no specific point? also the way this goes back to "she fell first, he fell harder" because tim at the hallway scene in 4x22 was hit with a world of emotions and realizations after that kiss

chenford having to face the reality of what lucy being uc means will no doubt be tough but i'm so happy they're finally going to address it!!!!! they've been in such a honeymoon phase and every time the topic is brought up they pretend it's fine but it's v much not

"lucy's going through a set of circumstances that we've never had the opportunity to see her go through" *cries* mel's entire answer to this question makes me so excited for lucy's development. idk why but i don't think whatever she's referring to here has to do with lucy being a detective? it seems so raw and personal and it makes me wonder if we're also learning more about lucy's past too (also wondering if they're bringing back her parents for a sec 👀)

i’ll do a top three lol

my fave character in the whole series was hange :””) i lovveeddd them from the very beginning when i watched aot s1 in 2013 so its been a decade long love ✋🏼😩 i cried so hard during s4 pt3 :””) but yeee i just adore the nerdy scientific characters that aren’t scared of the imminent threat of the verse but rather intrigued and curious to almost a point of insanity lol. but i think the hange scene i loved the most was during midnight sun (BEST AOT EP EVER I’LL DIE ON THIS HILL) is when mikasa is terrified of armin not being the one they bring back to life n hange says something like “there are people that i wish i could bring back too” 😭😭 idk that scene hit me rly hard n really quantified the amt of loss in aot i think

my second save character is reiner >:3 bc he’s so babygirl n i wanna make him my housewife. LOL jk naw but i HATED that man s2-s3 bc his whole multiple personality thing was such bullshit like 🙄 ok so you’ve killed sm of my fave characters but you’re still acting like a good guy??? go fuck yourself dude. BUT i started to get intrigued by his character when he was so committed to giving ymir’s letter to christa during shiganshina arc in s3 pt2…and then s4 rolled around and i fell IN LOVE W HIM. he was the only marleyan side warrior eldian that showed the right amount of remorse for what they did on paradis island, and although his backstory is so sad n its obv not his fault he was groomed into a war machine at such a young age, it was nice that isayama made him so guilty to the point of suicidal ideation. and he pulled THROUGGGH during the finale omg the scene where jean held onto him and said he is also a scout☝🏼😭 fuck yeah. also i’d like to impregnate him

my third fave character UUGHHH ITS TOO HARD THERES SO MANY but honestly i just have to say eren. i have soooo many mixed opinions ab eren’s character i could talk ab his character for HOURRSS but s1-3 eren was my BABY. my SON. MY SUGAR PLUM PUMPY UMPY UMPKIN. i mean he was pretty generic shonen protagonist coded lol but he was just such a sweetheart that was so hotheaded n determined to take care of the ppl he loved. it was always so easy to empathize w him on so many fronts n i love characters like that. however his character took an interesting turn in s4, and although i don’t agree w his actions in s4, i can’t say i didn’t want to see him succeed either…super weird, i still don’t quite know how to feel ab the events of the rumbling (i mean i err on the side of it was incredibly evil of him) but the fact there’s sm nuance to his character, regardless of whether i agree w him or not, means he’s one of my faves (we dont talk ab his character in the ending though. shhh. to me aot ends s4 ep28…sorry)

Jason, obvi. We're gonna ignore the fact that most of the time, he was actually an asshole. But uhmmm, he's my bb boy, so we're gonna look over that. Bro was so annoying as Red Hood, though. Killing Hank was so out of pocket. But it's okay, I can fix him. I was really annoyed, though, when it was made clear that he didn't draw the crosses, blant the bourbon bottle, etc, etc, and NO ONE apologised. Like, there were full adults blaming him. But he was so passionate about being Robin, and his talks with Leslie were so sad I wanted to cry :(( But my boy needed help. HE LOOKED LIKE HE GOT SO MUCH DEVELOPMENT AND MATURITY IN S4, AND WE ONLY GOT ONE EPISODE WITH LIKE 20 SECOND SCREEN TIME WITH HIM?? I'm gonna punch something.

I also LOVE Gar. He's such a sweetie pie. Imagine he's gone through so much, but he's always smiling :( I also love his reactions. Like when he was sparring blindfolded with Jason, and he was giving out about how Jason told him not to hold back. Or that one scene on S1 when he, Rachel and Kory, are waiting at the elevator in the safe house, and he looks into the surveillance camera and smiles. I just wanna pinch his cheekies. Or when he started to panic slightly when Kory was like, "You wanna make out with her, don't you," when they were talking about Rachel. But his trauma and hard work are overlooked methinks.

I'm also gonna go with Dawn. Ughhh, she's so pretty, and I love her voice. At least she like borderlined TRIED to reason with Jason when everyone assumed he was the one who did all the shit. And she didn't directly blame him. She was just like, "What about the picture of Ellis?" Idk, maybe I'm just giving petty points. I really like her and Hank's relationship. I feel she brings out a much better side of Hank, and I think their relationship, plus the impact that Hank's death had on her, is really overlooked. And the way she comforted Conner, telling him that it was also her fault Hank died and the fact they tried is what matters. Idk why, but the scene where they encounter Conner at the amusement park and she's telling Donna to talk to him and she's like "You're blah blah blah and he's blah blah blah, maybe he'll relate," it scratches the itch in my brain for no reason. She's just a cutie :(

The Dragon Prince s4 trailer showing exactly why I’m glad that RWBY handles BB the way it does (spoilers if things from said trailer count for that below the cut):

I LOVE Janai/Amaya, but having a 2 year time skip and suddenly boom together and seemingly getting married = skipping so much of the good build in relationships and seems more like trying to hurry to check off a “look look at our LGBT+ pairing!” box (especially with some of the accusations made towards Ehasz about baiting people over Claudia being LGBT+). But I’m sure certain types will latch onto like its the best thing ever and the “correct” way to do an LGBT+ relationship, cause all that matters to them is the “they’re canon/in a relationship”. Meanwhile BB is having the actual time, build, care, maturation, work, and nuances put into it only for some to bitch about it not rushing ahead to check off a box. I’ll enjoy and love Janai/Amaya among many others, but there’s a reason BB stands high in my book for LGBT+ relationships and really just relationships period.

OKAY so I remember this from the first time I watched it, like, four years ago--that of all the emotional stuff this show gets 100% correct, I'm not sure Glimmer's grief over her mother is all that accurately portrayed. She just seems to "get over it" too fast?

By which I mean: yes, it's the focus of this episode, but that's basically it.

When my dad died--and keep in mind I'd been no contact for six months, I'd already done most of my grieving for him!--I was so out of it I couldn't even read anything longer than a few paragraphs for multiple months. All my writing basically screeched to a halt. And Glimmer likes her mom!

BUT tbh I keep remembering someone pointing out that each season covers WAY more time than I originally assumed. Because the first time I watched this I assumed we were like, literally a week or two after the events at the end of s3. It's probably closer to several months. And that makes way more sense.

Also who else is confused as to what "princess" and "queen" even mean in this universe, like there are several princesses who are clearly in charge of their kingdoms? is just when their parents DIE that they become queens? if so wtf is wrong with Frosta's parents "lol you're eight now, time for you to be in charge of literally everything, and you'll never see us again"??
