Why you should vote for Seamonkeys

They actually genuinely have one of the most interesting dynamics, or at least my favorite. I'll be talking about things from the books here
Sun has taken off without his team to go to another kingdom not once, but twice (the first time was when he left early to go to the Vytal festival)
The other members of the team, Sage and Scarlet, are rightfully angry at him after the second time and try to separate themselves from him, but Neptune does NOT. This is even remarked upon a few times by other narrating characters such as Velvet.
It’s implied he is angry, though, he’s just not saying it because he wants to be around Sun again
Between the fact that he hides his "nerdier" interests, the whole thing with not being able to dance, and most importantly the fact that he avoids his semblance and is even afraid of it, it is easy to say that he is someone who has troubles expressing himself, to say the least
Therefore, his refusal to be outwardly angry at Sun to "keep things normal" could be seen as part of his problem expressing himself
In the flashback near the start of the book about the glowing golden tree, Sun is shown wanting him and his cousin to be able to find a place to stay, and then he sees the tree and thinks that it would be the perfect place to make a home. The memory of that tree is what he thinks of to center himself every time he uses his semblance. Therefore, Sun deep down wants to be able to find a place to call home. The fact that he's always moving from place to place means the he, also, is avoiding his real self. They're twinning ^_^
Then there’s this
This random, oddly cinematic shot that lasts like five seconds, that uses probably the most important bit of imagery in rwby(the sun and moon), which specifically has a romantic context in the show(bumbleby, ozpin and salem, and arkos). I wonder what that could mean.
Other things:
There's just like..... some kinda poetic things that happened in general. Like Sun leaving both times on a boat, which means Neptune wouldn't have been able to go with him even if he'd had the chance to.
Sun had black(/gray?) eyes in volumes 1-3, matching Blake, but from volume 4 onward he has blue eyes, which match Neptune. Neptune's goggles are yellow, matching Sun. And just like yellow and purple are opposites on a red/yellow/blue color wheel, yellow and blue are opposites on a red/green/blue color wheel.
Neptune's introduction includes Sun taking a long look at him from the legs up, after which he basically admits Neptune is good-looking (so he checked Neptune out)
Tbh, if Neptune was a girl it'd be pretty obvious the show was going in the direction of seamonkeys. It's that trope where the girl waits for the lead guy to stop chasing after the girl that isn't right for him and they get together at the end.
Look at how Neptune smiled when Sun said "it was never about that, brainiac"
Please just consider what volumes 4 and 5 would have been like from Neptune's perspective. Please.
Lastly, there's just the fact that like half their bits in rwby chibi have to do with making fun of how gay they act, and/or neptune specifically(things like him liking musicals, using moisturizing cream, etc)
ALL OF THIS IS TO SAY that Seamonkeys DEFINITELY deserves to win this round. They have at LEAST as much going for them as the other ship in the poll(name omitted to keep this out of their tag), they'll almost definitely be in volume 10, and also they are my special guys. So vote for them if you love me.

[RWBY: Roman Red] Chapter 1 ~ Criminal Business as Usual (Part 1)
The night before the start of the Vytal Festival, Roman and the White Fang get to know each other better with a bonding exercise - some light robbery! IN THIS PART: Roman vents about his previous hires and everyone has their own idea for how to break into a building.

The Thursday Night prior to the 40th Vytal Festival’s Beginning.
The sun was down, the lights in most buildings were off and most people were off the streets. Just how Roman liked it.
A puff of his cigar mixed into the salty sea air of the docks. Roman was firmly seated on top of one of the buildings in the Industrial District, looking out to the westernmost point of the City of Vale. He couldn’t help it - the ships caught his eye. A variety of vessels all coming in from Vacuo (or Patch, he could see a few ships were docked there for the night), all for the event of the year - the Vytal Festival. A celebration of unity where saps from across the world came by to partake in the festivities and have their best students beat the crap out of each other on live television. A sigh escaped Roman’s mouth. Part of him wished he was still just a run-of-the-mill thief at a time like this. Oh, how many hapless pockets could he pick?
The approaching footsteps snapped him out of his reverie. No more dreaming of picking pockets when the job was to run the target dry. Roman allowed his cigar to simply fall out of his mouth, crushing it under his heel as he stood up and turned.
“Well, about time you all showed up. What, needed to grab some catnip for the road?”
The White Fang clearly weren’t amused by his remark. He didn’t need them to be. Roman wasn’t quite used to working with these folk yet - Cinder putting him in contact with the group in the first place in order to buy Dust off of them was a surprise and a half - but that was the point of the mission. A local White Fang leader stood across from Roman, a full-face mask hiding his features. Four grunts stood behind him. The leader wore metal vambraces but a sleeveless top, a black tattoo pattern visible on his left arm.
“I was told you were a man of jokes.” He crossed his arms.
“Sure am!” Roman threw open his arms. “For example, I thought hiring Junior Xiong’s goons for Dust heists would be a smart idea when they couldn’t so much as land a hit on a little red girl.” No, he totally wasn’t still bitter about that failed heist, what would ever give you that idea? “I just love… jokes. But there’s a problem with them.” He walked closer to the White Fang members, pulling down on the brim of his hat as he did. “You get to know enough comedy, you lose out on sincerity. And when you’re a businessman… that can be a problem.”
“Get to the point.” The man scowled.
“Alright, alright!” Roman held his arms up defensively as he backed off. “Let’s be clear here. I’ve worked with some hired goons recently that leave me concerned about their reliability. You White Fang, well… I know for a fact you’re better than Xiong’s men, at least. You don’t earn a reputation like yours from doing nothing. But I can’t help but be worried that we may not work well together!”
Which would be very, very bad for all parties involved. Roman didn’t say that part out loud, but he was fully aware of just how displeased Cinder would be if he couldn’t cooperate with the White Fang. While he still wasn’t sure just what Cinder had at her fingertips, her connections concerned him. If nothing else, Roman knew she was a dangerous woman - and he wasn’t quite ready to take a bet against her unknown potential.
“So here’s the deal.” Roman tapped Melodic Cudgel in between himself and the White Fang members. “Tonight, we’re doing this Dust heist together. Consider this a test of sorts to see if we’ve got workplace chemistry, yeah?”
The grunts were now on the back foot. They clearly hadn’t been informed they’d be working with a human. Their leader, however, stepped forward. “I have orders to cooperate with you, Torchwick. They had better not be mistaken.” The man put his hand forward for a handshake.
He hesitated for a moment due to the opposite man’s firm grip, but eventually clasped the opposite hand and shook. “Pleasure doing business with ya. Let’s make this a good one, mister… uh…” He released the handshake, scratching his head. “Actually, I have no idea who you are.”
“Lieutenant Elder.” The Faunus replied. He crossed his arms once again.
“Pleasure meetin’, Elder.” The charlatan smiled. He lightly patted the Lieutenant on the shoulder as he walked past, striding through the group of White Fang. Reaching the end of the building, he pointed Melodic Cudgel’s edge towards a street below. “Now then, let’s talk shop! You see that building down there?”
The rest of the group followed Roman’s gaze. On one end, the street led to the docks - on the other, it led to a large three-story building. A curved roof covered beige brick walls, solid gray dividers outlining the split between floors. The top two floors held nothing apparent from the outside save for 3x3 blue glass windows. The bottom floor was the actual notable point. Two glass windows and a wooden double-door made up the entrance to a store front, a cloth awning shading them and covering the entry from rain. Two more gray dividers, vertical instead of horizontal, brought attention to the storefront by boxing it in. A large sign holder was attached to the top, but hadn’t yet been filled out.
“That’s definitely a new shop.” One of the White Fang members pointed out. “Doesn’t look like they’re even done setting up.”
“Yeah, the building’s a rental.” Another one mentioned. “I live in the area. Businesses usually rent the place out seasonally.”
“Correctamundo!” Roman interrupted the pair. “And this time, the rentee is an eager Dust dealer aiming to take advantage of all the innocent, naive shoppers coming in from afar.” He hunched down on the roof’s edge. “Some special sources are letting me know that this building is chock full of Dust ripe for the taking. Security shouldn’t be set up yet and the actual owners are in the Commercial District. Save for a night guard or two, this is practically taking candy from nepobabies.”
“What’s the plan?” One of the grunts asked, looking at Elder. He simply shrugged, pointing to Roman. “The human’s the boss for now.”
“Oh, the plan is simple.” Roman rose back up to his feet and walked away from the edge. “We’ll simply waltz on down, kick the door in and grab everything.”
Several seconds of silence. Roman looked back, confused, to see astonishment on the faces of his coworkers.
“That’s… the plan?”
“Sure is!” Pause. “Something wrong with it?”
“W-Won’t that have the cops on us in seconds?!” One of the members - a newer one, clearly - seemed to be very concerned about this plan of action.
Roman simply waved it off. “Nah, no chance. I’ve been scouting out the fuzz’s movements as of late. The closest dispatch would be on the other side of the river - we’ve got plenty of time to bail before they get here.”
“The new recruit has a point.” The Lieutenant spoke up. “It’s an unnecessary risk. The White Fang are used to striking from the shadows, not marching down the street. We should enter in secret.”
“We’re already on the roofs.” One of the members suggested. “Why not see if we can get into the building from above?”
“I’m pretty sure there’s a cargo door in the back.” The local White Fang member suggested. “We could try to get through there?”
Roman’s first instinct, of course, was to tell them to shut up and go with his plan. He suppressed it. No one in this town was stupid enough to try and get in his way at the sight of him (well, except for Red…), but the White Fang clearly lacked the same respect for him. Expectedly so, granted, considering he was a human. Going with one of the alternative plans could help to curry favor with the White Fang, potentially making future schemes easier… He’d have to consider this.

Wlw ships tend to lose because men are usually written better and more interesting than women. It sucks, but that's just the way it's been for as long as I can remember. For every 5 well written male characters, I can maybe think of 1 female character. They tend to be bland, and a lot of people wouldn't pick two bland characters over two that aren't. It's the same reason male characters are almost always more popular than female ones. People just don't know how to write women apparently.
Not saying any of the female characters in these polls are bland (I've literally only seen RWBY in terms of the female characters), but that's what I've seen from my years in fandom and watching/playing anything with women.
I wanna start by saying for you guys to not bring discourse into the askbox, please!
Anon, I got what you meant by that, but the way you expressed it wasn't the best. Yes, there are more better written male characters in media. That's what I got from your general statement. But that's only because media as a whole just started drifting away from an all male point of view.
We can't change that it was the path we had, but we can curate what we consume. Fandom spaces are a, mostly, create-your-own-experience type of deal. If you want to see better written women, you got to look for the content.
And if you can't find it? Start making your own! Fanartists, editors and fanfic authors have done this for a long time, taking something from canon and just expanding it.

I never want to see a single motherfucker utter the goddamn word “queerbait” near fucking BB EVER AGAIN. It’s one of the best goddamn slowburn, natural, and realistic fucking romances out there and GOD did it’s big moment fucking shine. Any damn ship poll dumbasses can shut the absolute fuck up if trying to talk down about BB; and the ones from the famous poll that tossed that label around can get fucked cause as BB’ers said all along: IT WASN’T BAIT, YOU UP YOUR OWN ASSES BITCHES!

Story of queens of control:
My sister made a fanfic between Lunar Chronicles and RWBY where she promised me weird ships that never came (it is still the first book but!). So I started to make my own weird ships and these two came across, the more I thought about them the more I realized how good they fitted together.
Both are terrible mothers with their adoptive kids and are the main villains for their respective series. They are manipulative and crave control! Even both of them are queens in their own way! At first, I thought, they sure would be an intimidating team together... but who I am kidding! The energy between the two of them is so strong that they would probably kiss and do other things!
Story of terribledadshipping:
Me and my best friend were playing Ghetsis’ first villain event in Pokémon Masters and she said he and Giovanni had some kind of gay divorced friends with benefits who keep getting back together energy going on and it just spiraled into a long-running joke from there. Also, I have to share our vision of N and Silver being stepbrothers it’s the funniest thing to me: they see each other at a ‘my villain parents suck’ group. It’s like parents’ trap in reverse, these two are actively sabotaging the relationship. N sets a pack of feral Zoroark loose at the wedding. Silver steals the engagement rings and poisons the cake.
Note of the mod: No matter what ship you choose, the kids of the ships are going to get so fucking traumatized.

I'm tired of rwde. They are hysterical. They are hypocritical. They're misogynistic. Seriously I haven't seen a single post defending the team rwby or another female or queer person. They are constantly picking on the show, only defending their favourites. They just ignore the bad sides of the characters. They have all the other characters to blame, but not their favourites.
I literally saw a post where rwde accused Ozpin of creating a class divide in Atlas.
Rwde say "why didn't Ruby have two weapons? " Honey you'd be hysterical the same way if Ruby had two weapons. Or their screaming that Weiss doesn't deserve an allusion to wings.
It's so annoying. If they don't like the show so much, why are they watching it? Why do they talk about rewriting it every time? A rewrite that accomplishes what? More Jaune? More harem? More other male characters and belittling female characters?
The issue I came across was where if you try to provide resources to combat that negativity and hate?
Whether in the form of defense posts defending the show?
Explaining where the hate comes from?
Or even lists of youtube channels you can go to that are positive?
They'll try their best to shut it down. And it hurts because "positive youtubers" defend them.
Fatmanfalling harassed a random girl on Twitter who said she was enjoying RWBY.
Practically every RWBYTuber LEAPT to his defense and shut down anyone who criticized him.
During the Sapphic Polls of this year, the Bumbleby haters started promoting so much hatred against the ship, that anyone criticizing them for that hatred was shut down.
The only reason that hatred has gotten so out of control was because in the name of "valid criticism" anything and everything bashing RWBY has become "valid" no matter how much of a lie it is.
Meanwhile, anything and everything defending RWBY has become "toxic positivity".
Whenever somebody says "the hentai and fanfics are better than the show," you know you're looking at people who want media where female protagonists over male ones are removed and LGBT content is minimized.
RWDE now literally pretends to be victims of the fandom and relies on influencers to promote their false-flag attacks.
