JUSTICE LEAGUE: WARWORLD Available July 25th, 2023

DC’s Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman find themselves in mysterious lands and precarious circumstances with no memory of how they arrived there and only vague recollections of their true selves in Justice League: Warworld, available to purchase Digitally and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray on July 25, 2023. The all-new, feature-length film brings together DC’s “Trinity” for the first time during the Butch Lukic-helmed DC Universe Movies arc.

Reprising their roles as DC’s key trio of Super Heroes are Jensen Ackles (Supernatural, The Boys, The Winchesters) as Batman and Officer Wayne, Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Glee) as Superman and Agent Kent, and Stana Katic (Castle, Absentia) as Wonder Woman and Diana Prince.

Also featured in the voice cast are Ike Amadi (Mortal Kombat: Onslaught) as Martian Manhunter/J’onn J’onzz, Troy Baker (The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite) as Jonah Hex, Matt Bomer (Doom Patrol, American Horror Story) as Old Man, Roger R. Cross (Coroner, Dark Matter, 24) as Machiste, Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Chicago Fire) as Bat Lash, John DiMaggio (Futurama, The Super Mario Bros. Movie) as Lobo, Robin Atkin Downes (Batman: The Long Halloween, The Strain) as Mongul, Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Billions) as Agent Faraday, Rachel Kimsey (Justice League Action, The Young and the Restless) as Mariah Romanova, Damian O’Hare (Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2) as Deimos, and Teddy Sears (The Flash, Chicago Fire) as Warlord. Additional voices include Trevor Devall (F is for Family, Guardians of the Galaxy), David Lodge (Naruto: Shippuden) and Kari Wahlgren (Rick and Morty, DC Super Hero Girls).

Jeff Wamester (Legion of Super-Heroes) directs Justice League: Warworld from a script by a trio of screenwriters – Jeremy Adams (Supernatural), Ernie Altbacker (Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War) and Josie Campbell (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power). Producers are Jim Krieg (The Death and Return of Superman) and Kimberly S. Moreau (Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham). Executive Producer is Michael Uslan. Butch Lukic (Batman: The Long Halloween) and Sam Register is Executive Producer.

Alongside the commentaries, the guy who ripped the Camp Camp Blu-Ray ripped just about everything else, including the most adorable Blu-Ray menu I have ever seen, and I saw no harm in sharing it with you all.

Blurays/dvds, my beloved. They look good on a shelf and I own this movie/TV show now. Never have to worry about if it's on a streaming service or if it will be taken off. Just put it in a bluray player and bam! And special features, something so rare on streaming

Synapse Films Unleashes PHENOMENA in 4K Ultra HD!

Horror Master Dario Argento��s PHENOMENA – the ‘80s Supernatural Creepy Horror Classic – arrives on 4K UHD loaded with Bonus Features.    

On March 14th, Synapse Films unleashes Phenomena on UHD, including all three versions of the film newly restored in 4K with Dolby Vision.  

Jennifer Corvino (Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly) is sent to a Swiss boarding school by her famous actor father. The sleepwalking teen – who also is a telekinetic with the power to commune with bugs – embroils herself in a series of vicious murders. Jennifer begins to unravel the mystery of the killings with the help of an entomologist, Dr. McGregor (Donald Pleasence) and his chimpanzee Inga. The soundtrack features music from Goblin, Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Andi Sex Gang, Bill Wyman and Simon Boswell. Phenomena is Dario Argento at his very hypnotic and nightmarish best.  

The two-disc set includes the original Italian version (116 mins), the International cut (110 mins), and the U.S. “Creepers” cut (83 mins), featuring multiple audio/language options (with subtitles) in Lossless DTS-HD Master Audio.  

Special features include two commentary tracks, one by film historian Troy Howarth on the Italian version, the other by Argento scholar Derek Botelho and film historian David Del Valle on the International version; Of Flies and Maggots – a feature-length documentary about the making of the film; a visual essay by Michael Mackenzie comparing the different cuts of Phenomena; Jennifer music video – directed by Argento; theatrical trailers; radio spots; slipcover artwork from Nick Charge; and a reversible cover with the original Italian Phenomena art.

Yesterday on Twitter Discotek Media announced that they'll be releasing Jeans Blues: No Future (ジーンズブルース　明日なき無頼派) on blu-ray this summer.

Released in 1974, directed by Sadao Nakajima (中島貞夫) and starring Meiko Kaji (梶芽衣子) and Tsunehiko Watase (渡瀬恒彦), it's only ever been available on DVD in Japan, although you can get a bootleg DVD with English subs in certain places on the internet.

No date or real specs yet, but hopefully those are coming soon.
