The alarm screamed as you ran through the halls, emptied out gun in one hand, the other trying its best to reach for your tablet and balance the files you were told to steal at the same time.

When you got it, you checked to make sure you were going the right direction. North West, drive-through storage room, perfect.

On your way there you smashed the alarm disabler off once you passed by it, for good measure. You winced from the glass shards but at least that damn noise was finally off. Picking up a gun from a dead agent, you ran down the building to where you needed to go as fast as possible before any reinforcements come and rough you up even more than you already were.

Eventually reaching the room you were supposed to exit through, you see a strange contraption on the door. You slowed down to check it out, make sure it's not a bomb, and it's...got S.Q inscripted on it? What the fuck?

A weird machine-looking thing with S.Q's logo or whatever tapped on it, stuck on th-

You hear a click and a beeping noise.

As you turn around, you barely have time to see yellow before a shot echoes in the room.

Fuck. You forgot how clever those engineer bastards could be.

* * *

"Hank? Do you hear me?"

Hank brought his bloody hand up to his earpiece.

"Loud and clear. What do you want Doc?"

2BDamned was lucky he only interrupted Hank after he was done killing all the agents in the room, otherwise he would have gotten a way ruder response, if any at all.

Hank wasn't eager on actually listening to anything that was about to be said to him, until the name of his lover was brought up.

"They were supposed to have left the base with the documents by now, but their tracker has been backing away from the exit? I think something happened to them. North-west, 1st floor storage room."

2B didn't need to tell Hank what to do, the latter dropped the corpse he was holding and rushed out like a raging ghost, ready to mow down whatever came across his path.

The engineer dragged his last victim's body along the floor as he communicated what he found on them.

"Yup, they were the one with the files. Gotta say, I'm surprised at how easy it was to trick them, I might as well have wiggled a cardboard cutout of Nick and they would've fallen for it!"

The radio-like voice laughed before quieting down when something was said in the intercom.

"Make sure to check if they're dead. Stay wary of your surroundings too, last time we checked the rest of 'em were still here."

"Yeah yeah. I'm using a big caliber, I'm sure it'll be good."

The ATP brought the body up to his eyes. There were indeed multiple gaping holes in their body, slowly gushing out blood and leaving a red trail behind him.

"Your optimism will be your downfall engineer, be careful."

"If you say so. Hey, now that we've mentioned Nick, tell him to buy me some smokes when he lea-"

The engineer suddenly whipped his body around, gun pulled up.

"...I heard something. Over."

It's funny how serious he just got, pointing his flashlight and weapon at every corner of the room, slowly advancing, dragging your body with much more care than before.

He begins going down the hall just a little bit faster. Both out of safety, and maybe because of a tiny prick of fear.

While he power walks, he looks back behind him one last time, just to check. The next thing he knew, he bumped against a tall bloody mass.

Just like you, the last thing he saw before blacking out was the splashing of his own blood.

But despite the burning rage, the want to hear this asshole scream until its lungs were fried, the killing machine threw the two halves of the body to the wall and fell to his knees, hands shaking in a frenzy to find out how to make rudimentory treatments before his dearest bled out.

All he could do at the moment was rip up tissues to stuff into the bullet holes and wrap a bandage around the wounds. He would have just torn off hunks of his own flesh to replace yours, but he wasn't yet sure if not only that would lead to an infection or not, or if that would even work any better than cloth.

Even when unconscious, your hands twitched at his first-aid attempts. It hurt. He knew it hurt. But he couldn't do anything about it. And on fucking god if that didn't break his heart. That and the dread of watching the life essence still slowly flow out of you as he called up to Doc.

"Emergency. NOW."

He held you up and ran to the car. No one could see it, but he was praying to any deity that may be left up there for you to be okay.

Protecting you was the best thing he knew to do. Even more than murder. And failing even this once would be a fate worse than an eternity of hell.

Pain. That was all you felt as the medbay light made you tear up slightly.

You closed your eyes, trying to sleep just a bit more, and potentially numb the horrible pain in your chest, but your attention is now also caught by the muffled voices in the room.

It takes a few minutes and what feels like a few injections for you to finally fully regain consciousness. When your sight unblurs, arm on the forehead to block out the brightness and pain, you see two red circles staring down at you.

"...Hi sweetie."

Hank almost jumps in happiness to his partner speaking up, his cold and calloused hands rubbing over your arm and sides, careful not to touch your many injuries.

"Excited, big guy...?" You tiredly say as you wrapped your arm around his and kissed his wrist. Your voice was weak, but you were smiling and alive and that's all that mattered to him at that moment. "Anything...what happened...?"

"You got shot."

Your eyes widen a bit, you didn't notice 2BDamned in the room until he spoke up while analyzing you a little more.

"Well...yeah, I figured. Anything else?"

"Hank over here finally understood how to not use food wrappings as bandages."

You let out a raspy chuckle. Hank definitely didn't care though, he was too focused on making sure you wouldn't faint and die at any moment.

It took a few minutes before Doc left the room. A few minutes of desperately trying to get to you for further examination without Hank giving him a death glare and pulling his partner away, closer to him.

When 2B finally left the room, he suddenly wrapped his arms around you as gently as possible and pulled you in, resting his head in the crook of your neck and relishing in the feeling of your living skin against his.

"Hanky? You alright?"

"No."

You softly hug him back with a sympathetic look on your face. He was breathing heavily, maybe even shaking a little. He hadn't let you go ever since you woke up, in fact his grip only got tighter and tighter, as if you would fade back away the moment he stopped.

"Hey, it's okay. It was just another little shot, nothing new."

You smile and rub his back, completely unaware of the hours spent to heal you back, of how many times you've flatlined during it, of all the empty blood packets sitting in the trash bin, of how they've genuinely considered just letting you die so they can bring you back later, of all the injections, bandages, tissues, spare organs, and most impirtantly, of how fucking scared Hank was.

Could he have been there to hold your hand while you agonised under 2BDamned, god damn he would have. He would have held it tighter and with more love than any gun he's ever handled. Maybe that's why he seemed so angry at Doc. As reasonable as it was, not being able to get any closer than 10 feet from the love of his life while they were nearly dead was torture.

But it was over now. He could hold you close without your blood staining his clothes. You gotta admit, it was quite pleasant to have basically a living ice pack against you when your entire body felt like you were going through a blender.

You two kept quiet for a bit, appreciating the contact with your lover, before he whispered.

"I'm sorry."

"It wasn't your fault."

"I should've been there."

"You couldn't have known. I should have been more careful if anything."

Hank lifted his head up from your neck before grabbing your cheeks and digging his eyes into yours.

"Don't say that. You got me?"

Your smile widened a bit.

"Sure."

His head fell back onto you after that. How adorable was it to see a ruthless genocidal maniac cuddling up to you like a cat.

reallyyyy lazy ref on my new atp soldat :D

a flee response as atp soldat oc lmao. Man with fastest reaction (enough to catch falling colleague before they break their bones, or pull them away from bullets. He does it quite often.) Feel free to doodle my guy or draw them interacting with your ocs i guess. more info:

a nervous touchy animal who'll just run away if he is being yelled at or insulted too hard (being yelled at by allies and superiors feels much worse for guy than any loud noise or gunfire. poor thing) And even breaks windows to jump away from any height and floor. He really doesn't care and ABSOLUTELY ain't afraid of height. Luckily manages to survive. Fucking gymnast-acrobat. But how annoying he is. TO WORK WITH. You just stand close. sneeze at him not gently enough and HE DISAPPEARS. He gets along with colleagues pretty well... Well, by my AAHW metrics. He isn't popular or favorite, but he gets along with others pretty well and nobody avoids him. He is seen as very non-threating and weak. Or cute. However they call it. He is also pretty tactile (may occasionally try to hold hands or hug someone) and gentle in general, friendly fella. Gets along with mags pretty well and tried to comfort one when saw first time. Extremely good at chasing. Somehow manages to bounce around busy roadways and not become a pancake in the road, getting in windows, getting out, survive and not die on missions. Can do tricks on bicycles cooler than many bikers on motorcycles and usually steals any transport of that kind (but gentle enough to put it back after using). Very expercienced as someone who is being chased. Flee just runs out of AAHW casually without even any plan if triggered, breaks any shit on his way on impulse. And then gets back because Flee doesn't really know how he would survive, doesn't have a plan, and really don't want to leave job. Or, well, gets captured by agents and not even getting so far. His hair was torn out by other soldat who tried to capture him at first attempt to run away, but got kicked (Dan). They're becoming bffs later. Why he got such a weird reaction? Well. In my au every atp gets +- unique programs and modifications which makes them extremely mentally ill useful in different ways lol. ATPs gets their brain messed up and minmaxed in worst and unnatural ways, that's why many scared of it. Amnesia also isn't a good part. Flee was created in AAHW, and his modification ruined his fear-response, too much training created steel reflexes like unavoidable instincts, and messed ability to recognize threats. Guy is very fearless about combats, heights, insane tricks, absolutely doesn't care about risks of breaking any bone or dying (still will do a lot so colleagues won't), but will shit himself from fear and overwhelm if you just say smth mean to him loudly. If it would be done by few grunts he will get nightmares and flashbacks even. Because his sense of being punished and shame is also messed up. For the good of AAHW, of course. At first he was threatened and insulted a lot for this defect, because everyone was confused, then he was used on a trainings because damn he's like a cockroach. And then he was given a little safe place to run in it and not just out of aahw on the streets. aka personal space lmao, until they find out to fix it. But many coworkers find doing little pranks and scaring him funnier because the reaction is just too funny with all that jumping on highest surface in room, or running on all walls and then comedically hit head and FALL. Aaand he doesn't beat them up for it, he just runs as first reaction. Can even bump right into the agent who did it, like an NPC trying to run in a wall, pushing the poor guy like a fucking box in a videogame. Extremely funny idiot. So yeah he gets a lot of occasional jokes for not being aggressive enough. Not to coworkers. :D

At the moment, his image is in question, his presence and profile is non existent… his upcoming projects are mostly supporting roles… I think someone needs a good businesses/strategy set for him, and than it will align with his potential new brand collabs…

Huh?! What on earth are you talking about?

Avoiding being public? We can probably agree that he’s a bit of a homebody. But, he attended the GQ party for fun alone. He wore fancy clothes, did the red carpet... met some people in the industry. Like, he had no film to promote.. he went for funsies. And same with Celine in Cannes.

He wants his personal life to not be public, but that's not new. And now he is free to control his own image. And looks like he chose to live a very normal life vs flaunting who he hangs out with or what fancy restaurants he eats at.

What he wants? Joe wants what he always wanted: "I want to be known for my work, and I want to be seen as human." It's not rocket science. How much clearer can a man be.

At the moment he's more famous than he ever was before. The mere fact that he posted on ig made the news. He's trending on x every other day without lifting a finger. His presence and profile are probably to much for his liking atp. 😅

His strategy is to be an actor and to be in interesting projects. Again : "I want to be known for my work, and I want to be seen as human."

note that some of these may not be original and that i just like these headcanons !!

hank j(motherfucker). wimbleton

he is semi-verbal but mostly stays mute. he occasionally makes some sort of noise as a response but he'll mostly nod or shake his head. (he usually doesn't speak verbally due to his metal jaw making him uncomfortable at times.)

i will stand by for hank being autistic !! :] (fucker literally stims in incident:001a and in the mpn trailers)

he hates loud noises. he uses earplugs when using guns and stuff so they don't bother him. (sorta why all of the madness happened, ironically enough. the boombox guy wouldn't turn down their music and the rest is history.)

hank loves cats because they're less noisy and are more calming to him. (not me projecting)

this man is an insomniac, hasn't gotten an ounce of sleep.

funny enough, hank likes rock music. specifically any kind of metal rock. (he mostly likes slipknot and hollywood undead)

i will remain standing for him being the tallest at 6'2" [~ 188 cm] (the mpn trailer has him being shorter than deimos but that might be an oversight, to me anyways.)

fucker doesn't get cold, like at all. fucker can just be outside without a jacket and not get cold.

not much i can think of for this man, headcanon wise...

definitely a classic rock fan. (he'll occasionally play linkin park as background noise even though it's not classic rock.)

he's around 5'8" - 5'9" [~ 172.7 - 175.3 cm]

2b and dr. gonne are twin brothers and their personalities are similar to dante and vergil from devil may cry !! (2b being similar to vergil and gonne similar to dante)

you cannot change my mind that deimos and sanford share a room. they're boyfriends.

hank and deimos would definitely love playing mortal kombat. though hank would comedically punch deimos whenever he loses to the short ass sharkboy.

the both of them would also love doom. (mostly hank though.)

sanford mostly watches deimos play whatever video game at that moment, honestly. he just wants to there for his boyfriend.

2b is mostly too busy for gaming. he'll occasionally play minesweeper or solitaire, but that's only when he's bored with work.

au where the hunting dogs disband and jouno and tecchou join the agency together (they both need some purpose, some sense of justice to act out and they don't know where else to go). tachihara returns and stays with the mafia, and brings teruko with him because they don't want to separate. i feel like she'd hate being a mafia agent (i know nothing about her, i haven't watched season 5 and i last saw 4 when it released) so maybe she just lives with tachi. i wonder what jouno and tecchou would do if they were on a mission to stop the mafia and encountered tachihara again....

sorry for the long ask btw i wanted to tell someone this and all my friends are asleep #heartbroken

ANYWAY

first i’ll talk about teruko. i do not see her going into the mafia however i can her sticking with tachihara. i wonder if it would create some sort of tension or if they’d just let each other live? hmmm i’ll have to ponder that idea. i do 100% see tachihara going back into the mafia though, he found his place there.

jouno and tetchou joining the ada would be really fun i think. i could see maybe some tension due to what happened in the whole "dogs hunt dogs" episode, however since it was a misunderstanding i can see them being forgiven easily as well.

i feel like jouno would have a hard time adjusting. he has a low temper with tetchou i can just imagine how short he would be with some of the ada members. i could see him arguing with ranpo and dazai a lot. and possibly getting along with kunikida since he wouldn’t be an ass.

id like to see jouno and dazai talk normally though. their pasts parallel each other a good bit! i feel their conflicting morals would make them not particularly get along however it could make for some interesting interactions. i will go on about that in another post eventually

i feel like overall jouno would rather stick to tetchou as well as anyone who will treat him as a superior instead of the others.

as for tetchou. literally all i want is for him to mentor kenji. like they’re basically friends now, they’re similar in morals/principles, and are both very direct with everything they say/think. that combined with them having similar physical capabilities i could see tetchou training kenji well and taking on a mentor/older brother figure.

i also feel like kunikida would like tetchou. he’s very direct and i doubt he’s a disruption, they’d get along well.

in contrast i feel like junichiro would probably be intimidated by him. not sure why, just how i feel.

i also don’t think dazai would have much fun with him, since he probably isn’t easily bothered by the silly antics dazai likes to do.

unfortunately i don’t know how this would work if the hunting dogs require surgery to live still. jouno and tetchou would probably be fine since they’re still affiliated with law enforcement but tachihara would likely die. that’s a post for another time i suppose.

OH! and encountering tachihara. huge angst potential here that sounds really hard to do. i could see them trying to bring tachi back since he has proven himself to be good before? i don’t know if it would work but even tachi said before the hunting dogs weren’t bad either. he just needs a place to be himself

but anyways i really like this idea!!! i love imagining how the different characters would interact w/ each other :)

are there any changes to the floormasters in ytr? <- autistic abt the floormasters

im assuming rio ranger doesnt exist here, because. sei. but im curioieus

i am so glad you asked!!! i’ve been waiting for an excuse to talk about the floormasters, they’re just not as fleshed out as i want them to be yet…(this is partially because i keep agonizing over what i want their designs to look like. it’s hard to find a balance between “silly yet stylish” and “just walked out of the evil clown circus”)

originally, i was planning to keep them the same but i quickly realized that would not work because sei and sou are both participants and therefore ranger and “midori” never Exist. so yes, they (most of them) are swapped too!

i will say that i kept gashu and meister in the same roles though. gashu because i think it would be vv interesting to see kai interact with his father in the death game (since he never gets the chance to in canon), and meister because 1. he almost certainly has ties to sara and 2. atp in the game he hasn’t played a big enough role to the point that i really even know what to do with him? so i was hesitant to swap him at all.

but but but!!! i’ll get into who takes the roles of the other 4 floormasters below (i hope this is what you were asking for???)!!! bear with me if it’s a little barebones compared to the main cast descriptions i’m still figuring things out

Megumi Sasahara > Sue Miley

Tbh I have my suspicions that canon Megumi already has ties to Asunaro so making her a floormaster in this AU felt like a logical move. I don’t have that much to say about her as of yet, but since she’s the first floormaster she sets a much different tone for the beginning of the story in comparison to Miley. Whereas Miley’s presentation feels very ‘cartoonishly evil,’ Megumi is a lot more serious about the game which kind of hammers in for the participants how highly important their captors regard the Death Game. Basically…even more dread and unease…especially after Nao’s death.

Hinako Mishuku (fake) > Rio Ranger

So this one is kind of what spurred on the idea of swapping the floormasters as well, because I really wanted to do something with pink-haired Hinako and/or see her interact with black-haired Hinako. Then I thought of a very tragic idea: what if pink-haired Hinako and black-haired Hinako were twins?

So I thought of the name Hana Mishuku for her. Basically, my idea was that the Mishuku twins’ parents split up because one of them started getting involved with Asunaro, and as a result the twins were separated. While Hinako led a relatively normal life, Hana was stuck with her father and unwittingly forced into becoming an agent for Asunaro at a very young age.

She acts similar to her canon personality, with a sort of dry callousness. She does still have a soft spot for her sister (and seeing her again after years doesn’t help) but she believes that’s something she has to ruthlessly stamp out in order to survive in the organization. (can you tell thinking about her makes me sad…)

Shunsuke Hayasaka > Tia Safalin

I am so sorry to all Hayasaka fans but his character is the definition of wasted potential to me. He clearly had ties to Asunaro (albeit seemingly unwillingly) and yet this is something that comes up like. Once? So I decided to take advantage of it here and make him play a bigger role. Rather than just doing dirty work for the organization, he gets swept into it and he HATES it. He’s pretty much only following orders because he doesn’t want to be killed, and rather than acting like a mild-mannered office worker he acts much more like a jaded, pessimistic office worker (someone please help this man). I also think he’d have a fun dynamic with Hana, but that’s something I’ll likely elaborate on in future doodles…

Momdori/Mrs. Hiyori/whatever you wanna call her > Midori

This one was probably the most fun for me to put together. Maybe it’s bias because the mysteries of Sou Hiyori’s family will forever intrigue me, but I think that his mom (or who I presume is his mom but really we only have a silhouette) has such interesting potential. I definitely don’t believe her and Sou would have a healthy dynamic here, what with just the way both of them act (i.e. insufferably) and their seemingly incompatible views of Asunaro (borderline religious devotion vs. as a tool for further experimentation/entertainment). (i could go on for literally hours and hours about their dynamic in this au but i’ll save that for another day)

As for her actual role in the story, I think she’d act very similar to Midori at first, but over time be revealed to have less of the childish behavior and more cruelty + cult-ish behavior. She’d also regard the participants differently: constantly emphasizing how they’re all fated to be sacrifices for God etc, etc until everyone is incredibly annoyed. (good thing for them that the goal of the subgame is to kill her!)

uhhhhh uhhhh anyways i don’t know what else to say but i hope this satisfies your curiosity! i’ll definitely revisit the floormasters again once i figure out what the hell to do with their designs but for now, as thanks for reaching the end of this rant take this momdori:

had to ponder this 1 for a moment ........ i think he kindve always knew something was Up in the sexuality department but he was focused on that grind at the moment (agent turned ummm. fugitive) so he didnt rlly think about it all that much . after he meets gunner hes like Ohhhh thats what that is .Ok.and doesnt really touch on it again

6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?

idont think he knows what those are .ithink he just does whatever . ithnik even if he did know he wouldnt choose one 👍

7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?

UMMM 2 me he truly thought abt his identity after meeting the gang nd feeling comfortable around them ,,....... it kindve came with the whole "ohh im a dissenter now . what does that entail" thing so it couldnt be avoided 4 him atp . nothing really changed except he felt more comfortable experimenting w his gender rather than having to conform to the Suit and Tie Man who Kills thing the agency drilled into his head

8. Have they had struggles with their identity, be it due to internal or external reasons?

YEAH .... he had hugeeee issues w identity a bit after he dissented < he kindve associated his whole Life with being an agent nd when that was stripped away from him he was desperate to seek out another person he could cling himself onto and help reform the idea of himself. if that makes sense . however he quickly learns this isnt the most Ideal way to present himself so he locks in and starts to become more independent in the sense that he doesnt Need to just be an extension of another person. he also becomes more open 2 the idea of having romantic relationships with anybody at All (2 me the agency is like 1984 in the sense that the only intricate relationship agents can have is w like . their leaders .and such) nd realizes he is masc leaning 👍 i think 2 him the hardest part of it all was his gender ..., in the beginning he was very eager to not be seen as weak so he attempted to be like , macho nd shit before realizing 1 it didnt fit him and 2 he . actually didnt want to be that .

- [ ] They look at the sun, only a few feet in the sky, at least from this angle. It’s an hour before roll-call and mandatory wake up time.

- [ ] At least they were early and not late.

- [ ] Happy, they fold the blanket, unwrinkle the cot’s fabric and packed their bag again

- [ ] Slinging the green duffel bag over their shoulder, zipping up the mandatory leather jacket over their black shirt

- [ ] The engineer looks out the window, to look at the red sunrise.

- [ ] They fail to see the outer windowsill, stained with bloody hand prints

- [ ] Lowering the mandatory mask that the people of their rank wear over their face, it’s time to leave the room for attendance.

- [ ] “Another day, another mission” said Sanford as they drive down the scarred road.

- [ ] Deimos on the passenger side and Hank in the backseat,

- [ ] Today, Doc told them to go to the nearest A.A.H.W building and to take what was most important to the organization.

- [ ] Their numbers

- [ ] Hank was ecstatic, he could not wait to get his hands on some grunt corpses, so much so he momentarily forgot about a certain engineer.

- [ ] About a half mile away from the building they stopped in order to survey the situation

- [ ] No walls around the building, but there was a truck stop and a fuel station, not much activity other then the occasional agent coming out to smoke or to guard the building

- [ ] Sanford and Deimos thought it was easy supplies but Hank thought otherwise,,,

- [ ] Saddling up with important equipment, they make hast to the building with the intent of slaughtering everything within its walls

- [ ] Killing the few agents that were outside they opened the door with a stolen ID

- [ ] The door flew open as the few other agents that were in the room started to attack, bullets and melee weapons flew through the air as the group mercilessly culled

- [ ] Once one side of the room was delightfully covered in red, Hank set off on his own, separating from Sanford and Deimos

- [ ] Bashing in the skull of a soldat, Hank let out a grunt of frustration. He wasn’t exhausted by any means he was just mad

- [ ] Why hasn’t His engineer showed their pretty little head yet?? He could’ve sworn this was the place they were stationed.

- [ ] A small explosion could be heard from the other side of the building, probably just Deimos blowing up some equipment, nothing out of the ordinary

- [ ] Hank was taken aback for a second,

- [ ] “If it’s an engineer’s job to fix broken equipment, and a piece of equipment was broken… It calls all the engineers”

- [ ] That revelation make Hank turn around immediately and book it to where the sound was heard.

- [ ] Peaking around the corner, Hank could see at least 4 ATP Engineers all talking and rewiring the broken machine, putting and pulling together pieces of it

- [ ] Dismayed, Hank didn’t know what to do. All of them looked the same, he didn’t know if his lovely was even in this small sample of people.

- [ ] But he would be reassured, because one of them perked their little head up and turned around.

- [ ] Making eye contact with him

- [ ] Quickly alarming the rest of the group, everyone dropped what they were doing and ran to the next room, but sadly you were not so lucky

- [ ] Hank grabbed the engineer by the collar, hauling them up to look at their face

- [ ] “Oh, for sure, this is my engineer”

- [ ] A sweet moan of pain, breaks the silence further solidifying Hank suspicions.

- [ ] Pulled to the chest, being suffocated by the black leather and cloth, He hugged you to the highest degree.

- [ ] Silently begging him to let you go, smacking the meat of his arm, he did…

- [ ] Only to shove you into a locker lining the wall, jamming the lock he cracked his neck turning to spread more carnage

we really are being selfish atp tbh but the frustration is so real sjskdjsk LIKE. i understand he doesn't want to move his family to a completely new country considering how many years of his professional career he has left (said while coughing blood) but holy hell i am so tired of watching him waste his skills away at pissg. every time i see his stats and how he's still dominating in all those "most [insert achievement here] in top 5 european leagues" lists i just stare at my phone in abject misery bc my god, all this for pee es gee??

I am already so attached to this FUCKIN FREAK omg I am so obsessed with his design. So here’s Artemis facts.

He is 42 years young ❤️ I want him to have an accent but I can’t choose, so it’s a mix of German and French. He technically did have a medical license at one point, but that was revoked when he started experimenting on patients during operations. He still does that now, but the Auditor sees it as a good thing and enlists him to help with the ATP workers and MAG agents. He is very much NOT a psychologist but acts as one because it’s in such high demand. He has a massive “collection” of medication that he hands out in plastic baggies to people when they mention something even slightly unusual. It turns out mostly fine 👍

Making another AAHW oc post (mainly because i have only one Nexus Core oc and all the others are in aahw..)

Communication officer Hermes (ATP Engineer, just took off mask for a second). Very busy schedule and demanding work, was initially placed in this role because of undying loyalty to the cause, but one too many all-nighters and he'll be questioning everything soon enough.

Solovei, member of agency's elite squad, a hot-headed individual with zero to no regard about personal health, so much that she gets assigned to more training recruits duty than actual battle experience, less they want to drag her ass out of purgatory again.

Mag Agent: Vulture (or Stervyatnik, i don't really vibe with english translation here). An experimental biological weapon gone slightly wrong, resulting in a guy who breathes, excretes and exists poisonous and toxic to everything around him, but requires a special air tank mixed with toxins to breathe. Mostly guards agency's bio weapon testing grounds in solitude due to extreme air conditions, loneliness mostly combated via endless pestering communication officers on radio frequencies.

Valkyrie & Andy, one facility's...defectives? Kind of? Valkyrie came "underbaked" and not fully developed to be enrouted in training, and coupled with some incidents, he's now stuck in janitor role in the facility. His self-proclaimed "mentor" slightly more developed got himself enrolled in 1337 agent training and doesn't fully grasp all the negatives that come with it. Troublemakers, mainly from Andy's antics/Kyr all too eager to tag along.

still a little sad we’ll never really get any official backstory content of deimos and/or sanford because of how krinkels just hates doing that shit, but i’m also really glad it means people can make their own interpretations and especially good ones since we already have enough info to work with (dissenters from the AAHW, now work at S.Q.)

in some good interpretive fashion though, people skimp on letting them bond over interests and sharing fun stuff about their expertise that so coincidentally also fit together with the thing the other does. Deimos’ is a big hacker, but also a gun’s man who’s sort of the type to go “The bigger the better!” Sanford on the other side, in his expertise in bombs, seems to have an interest in mechanics and chemistry. He’s much more proficient in the physical side of technology, wires and screws and metal, maybe why he seems like the best driver of them all too. It’d be cute to see them making stuff together, seeing how their interests align despite being so different! It’s an “Opposites attract” situation, when you add their own personalities and other features (Sanford being the stronger bulkier one good with melee, Deimos a thinner guy who takes to ranged combat) into account.

I’m wondering what their jobs would of been in the AAHW, and if they were ever paired up since the way the AAHW works doesn’t seem to be fixed on any skill until you get to the ATP engies and soldats, the agents seem to be a mixed bag that are kind of just tossed into doing busywork for no reason even if its to “kill Hank.” Generally the AAHW’s inner workers beyond their combat system is a mystery, especially on the internal politics. wish i could say more stuff and better but my brains a little fried today > <;

i just want to say thank you for feeling comfortable to share your abortion experience because 1. makes ppl aware that they could also be immune to the numbing and 2. because you are normalizing it! i’m so sorry you had to go through it though. also! broke up w my bf of 4 years a few months ago and it was harddd. we’d been together since i was in high school too but kinda the same thing where i was rlly thinking about my future w him and i just didn’t see it :( which was so weird bc i had before! but we were together for so long to a point where natural progression felt like moving in together and he was talking ab putting me on his credit line. i was just like :0, bc i feel like i still have so much to get to before i’m there but that doesn’t make sense in our relationship bc WE should be ready for that atp if i’m making sense? i just rlly had to get real w myself and came to the conclusion that i believe he is my soulmate and we will find each other again but i am just not the person for him rn. like when we were in high school i was in a totally diff stage in life and we worked rlly well at that time, but being in college now i felt like i was stuck in between coming into a new version of myself and still hanging onto the old one. to make this short i just recognized that i need to work on me before i can be there for someone else, and i hope this helps if yours trying to make any big decisions ab ur relationship :)

honestly, thank you so much for sending this ask!! I really want to work in normalizing talking about abortions because it HAPPENS!! it's happening!! someone you know has had an abortion--more likely, MANY people you know have had one!

and also just a quick little note about the numbing agent: it works on most people!! I am a weird medical anomaly this is allergic to surgical grade adhesive and numbing agent!! if you ever find yourself in a position where you do have to get an abortion, the likelihood that you will be immune to the numbing agent is very low!!

and honestly!! sounds like we are having very similar experiences!! maybe you'll know what I mean when I say that it's really scary being super in love with someone and just feeling it...fade? but not even because they did anything!! just because of life and the ebb and flows of humanhood!

I'm really proud of you for getting real with yourself and understanding your worth! that is truly amazing!! I believe you did the right thing!!
