So this podcast has a lot of topics and stuff to think about (cons of fame, Bojan's panic attack, Gregor situation, what success means for them, relationship with the fans and their own friendship, how will experiences from this year affect their new music, tour life, social media, support systems and staying down to Earth, state of the world etc.) and it gets very serious and kinda heavy at times actually. I'm not getting into retelling much because jokeroutsubs will probably work on it like crazy, except:

1. Timeline for 2024

As we know, they're moving to London next week, for 2 months. Then comes the European tour, a week at home for the holidays and back to UK for the last part of the tour. Then they're spending a month in Germany to record the album and then they have a big concert abroad which is the most special for them and they believe they'll be able to announce it soon but are still not allowed to talk about it (I am so curious!!). After that, a festival season mainly in the Balkans.

2. The new single

They said it will be out in February and they don't know who'll record the music video. It is apparently a 4 minute long story; ballad in the songwriting sense, but arranged in a way that it doesn't seem so? Bojan said it was like therapy for him and all of them including Žare are really satisfied and excited. And Nace said the first three women who heard it, cried. So good luck to us.

So there was this one woman in the 1990's who came into the ER for pain and such as a result of late stage cervical cancer. Well, because of the fact that this woman had been applying a degreaser like substance containing dimethyl sulfoxide to treat the pain she felt.

What she didn't know is that this chemical is that when it is mixed with oxygen (the same O2 they had been using to help her breath in the ER), the sulfoxide turns into dimethyl sulfone. That chemical is known to crystallize at room temperature, and did so in her blood stream. So this woman is now filled with sulfone, and due to symptoms related to but not directly caused by her cancer as well as the degreaser she'd been rubbing on herself, her heart stopped.

What ER staff didn't know and what she certainly didn't know is that when you apply heat to dimethyl sulfone, it becomes dimethyl sulfate, an extremely toxic chemical used in sulfuric acid. The ER had used the defibrillator to shock her heart, and the electric shocks were, in fact, very hot. This then caused her to become a living toxin for any ER staff that had been working on her as the sulfone in her body became sulfate. They had to evacuate the entire ER and she ended up passing away because she was toxic to be within a few feet of. Staff who worked on her in the ER reported symptoms such as nausea and labored breathing after being in contact with this woman.

This case was regarded as an incident of mass hysteria for a long time until the truth was found out!

I was rereading the War World Saga and stumbled across this scene. At first glance it just seems like an off panel adventure Superman had with the Green Lantern Corps.

But the Radiant Dead just debuted as the main antagonist in Green Lantern War Journal. Which is written by the same guy who wrote this. And Byla explicitly knows stories from the future.

Did Phillip Kennedy Johnson really foreshadow the defeat of his new big bad in a superman issue from over a year ago? Cause mad respect if he did. Now I guess we get to wait in see if Superman does show up in War Journal.
