Comet Leonard was discovered by G.J. Leonard on 3 January 2021 and made its closest pass to Earth on 12 December 2021. The photographer secured some time with the robotic telescope at the Skygems Remote Observatories in Namibia on 27 December to capture this rare glimpse of a comet that will leave the Solar System and not be seen again.

This year's surprise visitor to the inner Solar System, Comet Leonard (C/2021 A1), is near the horizon too. The comet is fainter but forms a nearly equilateral triangle with planets Venus and Saturn in this view. Bright comets you can see in the night sky this year

The following table displays the currently visible bright comets as well as the upcoming comets expected to exhibit brightness in the future (with a magnitude above 11.5 and one year in advance). It provides information about each comet’s maximum visibility, brightness level, and the latitude range from which it can be observed during that peak.

Comets that have entered the outward phase (post-perihelion) are excluded from the table once their magnitude drops below 12th magnitude.

Additionally, an icon is provided next to the brightness values (magnitude) to suggest the minimum recommended instrument for observation. However, please note that this indication serves as a general guide and may vary depending on factors such as the comet’s characteristics, observing conditions, and the specific instrument used.

C/2021 T4 (Lemmon)

Comet Lemmon, also known as C/2021 A1 (Lemmon), is a comet that was discovered on January 3, 2021, by the Mount Lemmon Survey in Arizona, United States. It was named after the observatory where it was first observed.

This comet is classified as a long-period comet, indicating that it originates from the Oort Cloud, a distant region of the solar system filled with icy bodies. Comet Lemmon has an elongated orbit that takes it far beyond the orbit of Neptune and brings it closer to the Sun during its perihelion.

The perihelion, which is the point in the comet’s orbit closest to the Sun, occurred on May 9, 2021, at a distance of about 0.73 astronomical units (AU) from the Sun. After its perihelion passage, the comet began its journey back into the outer regions of the solar system.

Comet Lemmon has been visible primarily from the southern hemisphere, offering stargazers and astronomers in those regions an opportunity to observe its unique characteristics. It has exhibited a coma, a hazy cloud of gas and dust surrounding its nucleus, which is the solid core of the comet.

The dust tail, which reflects sunlight and often appears yellowish, follows a curved trajectory, while the ion tail, which glows due to fluorescence and usually appears bluish, points directly away from the Sun.

OKAY HERE WE GO .

A1. She's very good at creative and artistic things. She learned to play the piano really fast when she was a kid. When she grew up she learned how to crochet watching tutorials on Youtube. Its something that comes very easy for her. Also she reads really fast. She loves reading since she's a kid. She had to stick with a Kindle when she started to travel with Dan because she couldn't carry that many books. She doesn't read Spencer Reid level of fast, but she is fast.

A2. The only thing she ever did besides school was piano classes and horse riding. Her mom sent her because it was "acceptable". She stopped with both around 10 or so, but went back on it in 2022.

A3. She ended up being really good at reading people. Really really good. It took her long, but then it was very helpful.

A4. She's not good at trusting people and open up to them. Dan was the biggest exception of her life. Then she's not good at all with sports of any kind. Good at Go karts yes, but that's it.

A5. Organizing stuff and masking. She’s really good at hiding how she feels and putting on the everything is ok face. Then she's incredibly good at her job. The boys had no idea how survived all their lives without Em around.

C2. On her side curled into Dan with her arm over him, her head on his chest, and one of her legs over his. That or Dan sleeping all over her.

C3. Chill, quiet day. Reading or watching tv or curled up with Dan and she doesn’t need to move. Extra points if it's raining outside. A nap in the middle of the day its good too. Her favourite days on the farm are her and Dan on the porch swing or deck chair when it’s raining, so that's it.

C4. Homemade food makes her happy. She doesn't need a fancy restaurant. Give her a dinner at home with family or friends and she's a happy girl. The simpliest the food the happiest she is. Grace cooking? Em's happy.

C5. Dan. On the top of her list. A hug from him and it feels like the world is a better place. Then its Blake, Grace and Charlie.

K1. She never thought about it, but there was moments of "Maybe if I never existed". She was absolutely sure she was gonna die for being heartbroken while she was in Liverpool and she was sadly at peace with it. It’s was totally passive. She wasn’t going to do anything to kill herself. But if a car came speeding at her she wouldn’t jump out of the way. At least that way she would stop suffering.

K2. Oh absolutely yes. During 2022.

K3. Without blinking. She would go for Br*wn's head without thinking twice.

K4. Nearly everyone who ever met her. Her family and friends would be destroyed, but Dan? He could never come back from that. Ever. It would kill him.

I1. Bi-curious but never kissed a girl. Never had the chance.

I2. She always knew if a nice lady asked her out she would have tried. She’s always thought “I like them I think.”, but never had the chance.

I3. Not really, she's happy as she is. Maybe a tiny bit as a kid but it was more she wanted the freedom boys got than to actually be a boy.

I4. Her parents would make a scandal. They would have sent her to conversion therapy. Dan would be more than okay with it, same with his family and their friends. As long as she's happy is all good.

I5. She never really did. She and Dan have conversations where they both say they find men and women hot, but she doesn’t really come out. She doesn't have the need to do it.

S1. Absolutely yes. She always had to look after herself, so she didn't really have another option.

The Tail of a Christmas Comet : The tail of a comet streams across this three degree wide telescopic field of view captured under dark Namibian skies on December 21. In outburst only a few days ago and just reaching naked eye visibility Comet Leonard (C/2021 A1) is this year's brightest comet. Binoculars will make the diffuse comet easier to spot though, close to the western horizon after sunset. Details revealed in the sharp image show the comet's coma with a greenish tinge, and follow the interaction of the comet's ion tail with magnetic fields in the solar wind. After passing closest to Earth on December 12 and Venus on December 18, Comet Leonard is heading toward perihelion, its closest approach to the Sun on January 3rd. La sinopsis se basa en un detallado general de toda la obra audiovisual, en esta parte se pone lo más específico sin dar mucha información de lo que sucederá en el short film. Según Benítez, Rodríguez y Utray es la síntesis que refleja los elementos fundamentales de la obra audiovisual y que permite al equipo de profesionales que han de producirla hacerse una idea global proyecto. Según Botero para comprender de dónde surgen los parámetros estructurales que se deben tener en cuenta para el el diseño de personajes es necesario hacer énfasis en tres temas fundamentales; estos son: Historia de la comunicación, diseño de personajes y métodos de la comunicación, diseño de personajes, y métodos de diseño (p.15) hay que tener en cuenta los indispensables que son las investigaciones para realizar conceptos de esto depende el destino de la producción tanto en escenarios, personajes, personalidad de personajes, cromáticas ya que esto complementa el contexto de la historia y su desenlace. La idea es lo principal antes de partir con un proyecto trabajando con la recolección de la información muy indispensable para la elaboración del personaje, por ende, la sinopsis es un resumen breve donde se decide el tratamiento para el video, ya sea este una serie de ficción, un reportaje, un documental, etc. Según Martínez C. 2009 p.(71). “El objetivo principal es dar información precisa, manteniendo un eje central”. Es importante tener en cuenta que una sinopsis, a pesar de provenir de las ideas de un texto base, es un texto nuevo resumido que no detalles del contenido al ser proyectado.
