Confidentiality and Trust: Pillars of Caregiving
Tumblr media
Confidentiality and trust stand as essential pillars in the caregiving industry. When a caregiver tends to a client, whether jotting down notes, inputting data into a computer, or simply speaking, every detail shared is held in confidence. This encompasses more than just basic personal information like names and addresses; it extends to the reasons behind a client's illness, the treatments they receive, and even their future health plans. Breaching this trust by divulging such information to those unauthorized to know violates confidentiality and breaches the law.
Trust
The client needs to trust the carer before they will feel comfortable enough to share personal information with them, which will take time to achieve.
To provide quality care, we must have sufficient information. Our clients must know that whatever they tell us will be kept private and limited to those who need the information for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations. Clients need to know that their private information will be kept confidential. This helps build trust.
Balancing Privacy Rights and Confidentiality: A Caregiver's Guide
It's important to understand both privacy rights and confidentiality. Privacy rights mean that people have the power to keep their personal information private and decide who can know about it. Confidentiality is when caregivers promise to keep their clients' information secret and not tell anyone who doesn't need to know. This means respecting clients' choices about their private lives while also making sure their information stays safe. Privacy rights are classified into two, namely:
Privacy Protection A
Privacy Protection B
Privacy Protection A:
To follow the confidentiality of your clients and yourself, here are some guidelines to follow:
GDPR: Keep within all rules and regulations regarding the General Data Protection Regulation.
Spoken Conversation: Watch what you say, where you say it, and to whom. Speak in a quiet voice when you share information. Close doors when discussing private information. Do not talk about health information matters in front of others. If someone asks you a question involving personal information, make sure that person needs to know before answering.
Telephone Communications: Never leave personal health information about a customer's conditions, test results, etc., on an answering machine. If you leave a message on an answering machine or voice mail, only leave the name of the person calling and the agency's telephone number, with your contact phone number, and request a callback. Do not leave messages with anyone other than the client or a responsible party.
Medical Records:
Make sure medical records are viewed only by those who need to see them.
Store them in an area not easily accessible to non-essential staff and others.
Do not leave medical records lying around unattended or in an area where others can see them.
Don't leave files on car seats; lock them out of sight.
Return the medical record to its appropriate location after viewing it.
Privacy Protection B
Trash: Shred all papers containing personal health information. Put trash cans and shredders as close as possible to fax machines and desks where personal health information is used. If you see un-shredded paper discarded in a trash can, remove it and bring it to your supervisor.
Fax Transmissions: Fax machines should be in a secure area. Do not leave papers containing private health information on the fax machine unattended. Pre-program frequently faxed numbers into the fax machine to reduce dialling errors. Periodically check on the pre-programmed numbers to make sure they are still correct. Have a fax cover sheet with a statement that the fax contains protected health information. Only leave a computer unattended by logging off. All emails containing identifiable health information should be encrypted, and the sender/receiver should be authenticated. Double-check the address before sending any email.
In summary, keeping secrets and earning trust are super important in caregiving. It's not just a rule; it's like the building blocks for good care. Clients need to feel safe knowing their stuff won't be blabbed to just anyone. Building trust takes time, but it's worth it. Following rules about privacy and keeping info safe helps keep everyone happy and safe. So, by sticking to these rules, caregivers do their job and make caregiving a safer place for everyone.

I love a modern-AU dadfics as much as anyone, but we have to stop glossing over how Wei Wuxian adopting A-Yuan would impact the Wens. Because if he does, something has gone terribly wrong for them and it would absolutely affect everyone involved.
The issue is that A-Yuan has primary caregivers other than Wei Wuxian who should be taking care of him, and if they're not in the picture then there’s going to be a reason why. The first person missing is Granny Wen, who is Wen Yuan’s actual caregiver in mdzs and would most likely be taking care of him. Unfortunately in most dad!xian fics she's immediately fridged or has her grandchild taken away from her due to her age off-screen—which would be deeply traumatic for everyone involved, especially if she’s subsequently unable to be involved in her grandchild's life.
The second person who would be taking care of A-Yuan before Wei Wuxian is Wen Qing. Sometimes the in-fic reason for her not being his caregiver is due to unavoidable circumstances (usually financial issues, which like. yikes), but most of the time it comes down to Wen Qing not really… wanting? to be a caregiver, often because she’s too busy or is putting her career first or is just too much of a GirlBoss. So she chooses to adopt out Wen Yuan to Wei Wuxian (again, off-screen) and that's the end of that.
Listen. Not everyone wants to be a parent. Not everyone should be a parent, or can. It’s a reasonable and valid decision to prioritize other parts of your life over parenthood—especially if being a parent or caregiver wasn’t your choice in the first place. But Wen Qing is going to have SOME kind of feeling about letting A-Yuan be adopted out of her family, and that feeling is probably going to be complicated or bittersweet, if not painful. Not only because she’s, you know, a human being with emotions, but Wen Qing’s primary motivation in the book is to take care of her family and keep them together. So her deciding “nah, I’m too much of a girlboss to be a caregiver, here’s a free kid and I’m going to feel absolutely nothing about this cause it’d be inconvenient for the fluff” is not only a dismissal of how complicated that decision would be for her, it’s also wildly out of character. No matter what the reason is, she's going to feel something about it.
(I’m not getting into how Wen Ning is never tapped as another potential caregiver btw because we're really not ready to talk about ableism just yet)
If you love the idea of Wei Wuxian adopting A-Yuan in your modern au, there’s are a couple of changes that can address this. One is to make Wen Yuan not related to Wen Qing and the shared surname is just a coincidence, like Lan Jingyi. Another is to have them be a blended family where they’re all caregivers for A-Yuan, or have Wei Wuxian be his primary caregiver but help A-Yuan actively maintain a connection to his family of origin. Or have Wei Wuxian adopt A-Yuan but the Wens actually get have feelings about it for once, regardless of why it happens—sorrow, frustration, relief, gratitude, regret, something. Let Wen Qing have complicated feelings and let them shape her relationship with Wei Wuxian, too, for better or worse or just messier. Maybe even let Wei Wuxian, who was also separated from his family of origin and is a walking ball of family trauma, have complicated feelings about it as well! Or go the extra mile and let A-Yuan have some emotions about it for once, because regardless of the context the loss or change of support structures is traumatic, especially for a small human.
Anyway read A Temporary Fix by Bosgood for your complex Wen family feels (feat. Lan Wangji adopting Wen Yuan, because all of this goes the same for him as well).

i just saw a post about andrew and his meds and how he was probably misdiagnosed for depression but he’s actually bipolar which made him manic all the time bc of his meds and!!!! yes to me andrew has always been bipolar. anyways i just had to share this with someone what are you thoughts on bipolar andrew? i know this isn’t kevin related and for that i’m sorry
"i know this isn’t kevin related and for that i’m sorry" HRGJLDHFGDFJG KDFJG FUNNY....!!!! i do answer non-kevin related asks sometimes but the flesh and the spirit must be willing... i'd say it's occasional like an expert briefly commenting on another expert's field
i thought bipolar andrew was canon? isn't it? i've never really had any extensive thoughts about it; to me it was just a fact of the world like the foxes are orange and kevin is beautiful..... well. regardless. i think it's a good hc if that's what it is :) i'm not all that interested in diagnosing aftg characters with personality disorders and i think a diagnosis of something is not always a concrete reality of life and more so a guideline to follow to deal with a specific cluster of symptoms, but as far as they go, andrew being bipolar makes a lot of sense!
i have a friend who went through the foster system when they were younger and a few years ago i do remember we were talking about andrew and they said a lot of how he was written was taken textbook from a 'how to foster troubled children' manual, which i think is most of what i think about re: andrew's mental health. to me it is more interesting (fiction wise!) to think about the material conditions that caused him to develop the symptoms he did, and less so about the ultimate conclusion of them. does this make sense?
tl;dr: i thought andrew being bipolar was already canon, if it's a hc then it's cool :=)

This anti-abuse training I’m taking (in a healthcare context) fundamentally demonstrates why there needs to be a systemic solution to abuse in healthcare. If the main issue that causes abuse in healthcare setting me is overworked and burned out workers (bc they are picking up too many shifts either due to the place being understaffed or bc they aren’t paid enough to work an appropriate number of hours), then the #of hours per week/day someone works needs to be capped and their pay needs to be dramatically increased (to both reduce the need of overtime and to actually get people to work in the field). The solution of the worker enforcing work/life balance and managing stress when management is constantly guilting them into picking up additional shifts and not paying them sufficiently is absolutely bullshit and not realistic.

Home Health Study Sheds Light on Labor Challenges
The biggest challenge for Home Health providers since the pandemic has been staffing (having enough staff, retaining the proper staff).  Arguably, this challenge is common among all providers but uniquely, home health seems to be in an acute labor crunch. The business model for home health is such that revenue is directly tied to adequacy of staff numbers.  For inpatient providers, there is some…

what would your sexual energy like to tell you? 💌
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• pile one •
many of you in this pile have been suppressed by overbearing parents/carers and overbearing expectations regarding sex. you may (to this day) be very sheltered from anything to do with your sexuality, as if your caregivers have tried to keep you cloaked from anything to do with that. a lot of you may be virgins too, holding onto your virginity because you view it as something extremely valuable (which is completely understandable. the first person who you choose to share your body with and your first sexual experience is very important regarding your outlook towards your future sexual experiences) however the importance placed on your virginity or staying “protected” and “pure” from any sexual experiences may be causing you a lot of mental conflict. for those of you who aren’t virgins, i’m seeing that you could be very closed off (out of fear) due to negative experiences and/or beliefs towards sex from the past. your sexual energy would like you to try to find a mental balance regarding your sexual energy, though. learn to value your body and to view your future sexual experiences as something that is also for you, not just for the pleasure of the other person. also, write down a list of sexual boundaries that you feel like you’d want to implement in the future. there’s an emphasis on understanding that you have control over your body. not your parents, not what random people think that you should do with your body. YOU. there’s a need to educate yourself about what healthy, safe, and positive sexual experiences are, because what you’ve been told or what you’ve experienced personally may have tainted your opinion and feelings towards your own sexual energy as well as other people’s. many of you are closed off from your own body. many of you still view yourself as a child who “shouldn’t” explore these things. for those of you who are virgins and stressing about when you’re going to lose your virginity, who you should lose it to, etc, please just know this: choosing a sexual partner that you feel comfortable with and that you can trust is very important, however, they don’t have to be the “one” or the person who you will marry or spend the rest of your life with. losing your virginity doesn’t have to be this extremely serious thing. if you meet someone who you like - and you decide for yourself that you’d like to sleep with them - as long as the energy’s right and you know them well enough to trust them with something as sensitive as your first sexual experience, go ahead and do what you want to do. you’re not a little kid anymore and you deserve to experience what all grown adults have the right to choose to experience. for everyone in this pile though, you all would benefit from solidifying your self esteem in your physical body. viewing it as attractive, viewing it as your safe space in a way, and viewing it as sacred (in your own way - not necessarily in the way of society, family, or religion). this applies to your sexual energy in general too.
• pile two •
the sexual energy of this pile seems to be very dependent on what other people think (or would think) of your sexual identity and sexual behaviours. whether that’s sexual orientation, sexual preferences, kinks and fetishes, etc. The main aspect of this that I’m picking up on is listening to what other people say about those who are sexually open and/or people who sleep with multiple people, resulting in them being called derogatory names in relation to their sexuality. you may want to explore the same things that have been the point of shame for other people (like multi-dating, having multiple sexual partners, moving into the sex work industry, etc.), and because of this fear of judgement, you hold yourself back. for others of you, you’re surrounded by people who take sex less seriously than you and they might urge you to delve into hook up culture when that’s not something that you’re sure would be best for you. you might want to wait until you’re in a relationship to sleep with others, and now you’re wondering whether or not you’re wasting your time waiting for that. to sum this up, you guys are listening to other people around you, or people that you don’t even know (online) about the standards that you should set for yourself sexually. i heard “stop listening to gossip and judgements”. i’m seeing that you guys in this pile are wanting to make some type of transition in the way that you express your sexual energy. you’ve learned something new about yourself sexually but because it would be looked down upon by others, it’s almost like you’re considering suppressing it. your sexual energy is telling you to listen to it. not other people. there’s also a strong need to learn how to embrace your sexuality too, without shame - in your own energy. nobody else has to know about this if you don’t want them to. and you can embrace your sexual energy completely by yourself in your own time, whatever that may be. learning how to develop love for the self and the body and your own personal opinions will propel you forward into freeing yourself from this mental conflict that you’re enduring. a lack of self love or self worth might be the culprit as to why you struggle to believe and listen to your own opinions, wants, and needs about yourself. and maybe this is why you look to others for guidance - but you won’t find the answer that you’re looking for externally. you already know the answer because the answer comes from you, but you’re suppressing it again. your sexual energy wants you to find your sexual truth by yourself - away from the sight of others first. write down who you are sexually in a world where no opinions about your sexual identity and behaviour could be projected onto you. what would it look like then?
• pile three •
pile three, your sexual energy is POTENT. wayyy more potent than you realise. it’s like people get trapped in your essence without even speaking to you and a lot of you have to deal with people assuming that you’re way more sexual than you actually are. this is the reason why. especially when it comes to men/masculines. they love to project what they assume you’re like sexually because what they assume is what they fantasise about you. you have a very blocked sexual energy though. not blocked to yourself but blocked to the external world - and this isn’t a bad thing. it’s guarded more than blocked. i’m seeing you as someone who has sexual energy that’s going to be felt regardless of whether you want it to be or not. no amount of covering up or keeping yourself small, quiet, and innocent-looking will change that (even if you are. even if you’re a whole virgin out here). but people know that it’s nowhere near easy to get into it. you seem to be very disconnected from others and their sexual advances. you could have a history of shutting down other people’s projections of you. and i’m also hearing that you challenge people’s ignorance (mainly men’s). the sexual undertone of your energy is what they attribute to a “certain type” of person (people who they’d consider “h0es” or people who they’d shame sexually in some way) but they can’t do that with you because the way that you carry yourself and your standards is the complete opposite of what they’d expect it to be based on your sex appeal. your demeanour comes off as very cold, direct, swift, and maybe even judgemental. and you clearly don’t focus on the attention from others. you have a “couldn’t care less” attitude. that alone puts people in their place even if you don’t verbally, and it often has people feeling rejected. insecure. like they don’t live up to your standards (because they don’t). your sexual energy is telling you that you embody the true archetype of a femme fatale. not the type that you see on tiktok lmao. not the manufactured version of a femme fatale where people think that you can force yourself to be one by dressing in black and being unnecessarily rude and bitchy to make up for low self esteem and suppressed resentment and pain - instead of actually just doing shadow work (no shade 👀). this isn’t forced. it comes naturally to you which is why i’m seeing that this may be something that you’re shocked to hear about. you don’t force yourself to be something that you’re not to be seen as a “bad bitch” or a “boss” or the “it girl” when you’re actually soft af. i mean, you could be, but you genuinely embody the energy that so many people try to but fail to. why? because it’s not them. you though? this is you. naturally. and there’s so much power in this. you know this deep down but feel like you’re being delusional, or big headed or something negative. you’re not. you just know that you’re the shit, so your stable sense of self weeds out the people who can’t handle you. i heard “you’re not for everybody”. not everyone can handle you. and that’s fine. let them take themselves out of your life and don’t let anybody try to “bring you down to size” just because they’re threatened by you. whether that’s because they want you but can’t have you, or they wish they were you. your detached and harsh demeanour also protects you from a lot of predators who’d think that they can prey on you if you were more open and friendly. your sexual energy is very threatening to people. and they know that you’re not one to be fucked with.

this is a random message but it is very clear. for some or most of you, the career or field you are wishing to go into at the moment, or the one you are already in, is the right one for you. there is also a message to explore your creative potential. it doesn't necessarily mean creating art like music, writing, paintings etc (although that may be true for some of you) it could also mean creative problem solving, a job which requires you thinking outside the box. working in a field where things are done differently to others in the industry. the image i have in mind is google. they do a lot to encourage creativity and the birth of new ideas. you'd fit best in a career which nurtures and encourages your creative side.
it's also best to be in a career where there is the opportunity to grow in every aspect, and to further your position over the years. for example, i don't think you'd feel comfortable and happy in a job where you stay in the same position for years doing the same thing every single day. some people are happy in those jobs. they like the stability and routine. however, you need a job where you can always learn new things and progress. i'm seeing progression is also important to you. it's important to go into a job where you have more opportunities to climb up the ladder, and it doesn't even need to be all about promotions. a job where you regularly switch tasks, or have new projects to work on. as long as you aren't doing the same things every day, you should avoid jobs which do.
a job where you can express the qualities of success and confidence. where you can prove to yourself and others that you are fully capable. it could also be a career which puts you in the public eye. something that makes you feel seen and appreciated. again, promotions are here. you want a job where you can progress to high places. perhaps even becoming a figure of leadership and authority. you may not be confident about such a position right now but when you find something you love and excel in, you would be the right fit for a leader. and for a number of you, caregiving roles may be good for you. it could be anything from nursing to therapy.
okay so here is where it gets a bit negative. with the three of swords you may experience job losses, or disappointment in being rejected from jobs. it could also indicate that you may end up stuck in a very stressful job and toxic work environment. you want to avoid places like that. however, i believe some of you may need to experience it in order to know what is the right or wrong job and workplace for you. and for a number of you i get the message that even though it is difficult and stressful, and the workplace is not good for your mental health, it will not last. you will find a better job or get promoted and belong in a much better space. so if you ever find yourself in that position, have hope that it will improve. i think it is also a message, especially if you are a leader, to not allow a toxic work environment to foster as it is your duty to ensure it is safe and healthy for everyone to work in.
enterprises might also be something you would work well in. i'm seeing representing small or local businesses, as well as larger corporations for a number of you. it could also be setting up your own business. for some of you, you may have a typical job in mind in order to pay your bills and support a family, but deep down you have a dream of having your own business or brand. at one point or another, you might be torn between keeping your job to pay your bills or leaving it all behind and investing in your own business. i think either is fine, however, for most of you who this applies too, the message is to find a balance between the two. you can work full time and have a passion project/business on the side. work on it slowly and over the years it will blossom, i'm hearing. it is crucial you do not pick between the two and instead find a balance.
to add the obvious, you may dream of being your own boss. and i think you would do amazing things as a leader, however, you still need some sort of discipline or balance from elsewhere. if you're your own boss for too long, you can easily get lazy and complacent. so it is important for you to keep a job elsewhere to ensure you don't lose routine or dedication.
one last message is to expect times of change in your career as much as you should expect times of stagnation. any job you have, you will experience boredom at times and excitement at other times. you need to hear this. jobs are not one dimensional. you should expect many things from your career, both good and bad. so don't get your hopes up too high and don't get too disheartened when things don't go your way.
suggested careers/fields: project manager, hair dresser/hair salon owner, investments, influencer, working up the ladder, franchise owner, higher education, professor, networking, entrepreneur, business law, accountant for local businesses, nursing, social worker, therapist, counsellor, childcare, HR, arts and fashion, selling and/or creating luxury goods, beauty guru, acting, admin, consulting, writer, researcher.
cards: high priestess, the empress, six of wands, three of swords, two of pentacle, wheel of fortune
🩶 𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙬𝙤
i'm immediately hearing decision making. for some of you, a job where you can make the decisions would be good however for most, i am seeing that you may not fit best in careers where important decisions fall in your lap. to get one thing straight, every career will involve decision making at one point or another. but some careers involve very important decision making and i believe when you have too many important decisions to make on a regular basis, you can become very stressed. perhaps you are an indecisive person. overall, i think working in a position that requires heavy decision making would not be the best. however, if you are working with others to make decisions, i think it would be a good career for you.
for most of you, if not all, you will find success in the career of your taking. and for a lot of you, the cards are representing another person in regards to your career. a colleague or a business partner. if you dream of being your own boss, perhaps you would do well sharing this dream with someone else. it could also be a colleague. your career will lead to you meeting someone important. or vice versa, you will meet someone and they will help you get a really good job, the job of your dream. of course be careful, because people who help others often want help in return later down the line.
communication is a key theme here. a job which requires you to communicate your thoughts and ideas. for example, sharing stories as a writer, or even as an academic writer sharing research, or in law by communicating and mediating for your clients. i think for some of you, you would like a position of power. and for others you may not. for those who do, you would do well to use your power and authority for others rather than not doing so. you'd find more fulfilment and success by helping others. and mediating also. taking on communication responsibilities for third parties would be a good career for you. for example, an agent who helps people find jobs and corporations to find employees. hosting job interviews for the people you work for. even ghost-writing, communicating on behalf of the client. again with law. you may also enjoy the feeling of being responsible for transfers, employees, assets, moving companies. anything that involves moving one thing from one place to another.
i'm seeing disputes/conflict. perhaps you may deal with this a lot in your work environment or otherwise, it could mean your career typically involves this. i'm seeing HR settling an issue between employees. things like that. you might naturally be drawn to conflict or drama, and if not you are just interested in it. therefore, a position which allows you to be involved in it as an outsider would be interesting to you. there would always be something new to keep you on your toes. and you would feel very gratified after helping others solve their problems. in environments where there is lack of communication and poor leadership, you would fit in well in the role of solving these issues. it's very much a behind the scenes job but it is incredibly valuable to companies.
you need a job which will not disturb your work life balance. it's best to only take on a career which does not require you to work overtime, or where workload leaks into your private time and life. it is important to have a job where you can work hard, but only within the working hours. a job where you can give fair and honest work and feel appreciated enough to have your own time to spend with loved ones and yourself.
a job where you can always remain unbiased. you may feel uncomfortable picking sides so a place which encourages objectivity would be a good fit for you. you might also enjoy jobs in health and fitness. somewhere that encourages others to do their best. teaching, also. law and order are important also.
a slow paced environment would be perfect for you. fast paced might lead to high levels of stress. so slow paced is better. successful careers are built over time. you're not too fussed about seeing amazing results straight away because you know the best results always come after long and consistent efforts. so jobs which require you to be very patient would be good. you expect all of your work to pay off in the future. because of this, i also thing agricultural industries may be good. the final message is to not be swayed by other people's thoughts and opinions. there may be some people who have hidden motives with you and your career. you may struggle to make good decisions and not know who to trust which may end up with you trusting the wrong people. be careful, and hone in on your intuition because it will help you in the most crucial times of your career.
suggested careers/fields: animal care, justice system, politics, judge, lawyer, sales person, guidance counsellor, public speaking, doctor (not specifically medical but in other fields), self-employed, problem solving, mediator, HR, teacher, auditor, law, financial institutions, health and fitness, farming, gardening/landscaping, charity worker, social worker, engineer, scientist, STEM, activist, telecommunication, journalism, trading, public relations, events manager, customer service, liaison.
cards: the magician, the sun, two of swords rv, five of swords, justice, seven of pentacles, high priestess rv
🩶 𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚
overall, this pile feels quiet and mellow. so i think calm jobs that don't involve too much excitement would be good for you. a job that doesn't require far too much effort from you, but you still know exactly what you are doing in the job. which is funny because most of the cards suggest otherwise, but the vibes i'm feeling are different. i randomly heard "beware of snakes" so maybe it is that you want to avoid bad vibes from others. you want to do well and have the personality and potential to perform incredibly (it is represented by the two aces and the magician) but you are afraid of attracting jealousy from others. most of you may believe in nazar, or the evil eye. you want to do well quietly, staying humble and not gaining too much attention from others.
you might want to avoid the overly friendly workplaces, the companies that tell you "we're all like family" because odds are your coworkers will be all up in your business when you don't want them to be. and more often that not, they may not like to see of hear about you doing well. of course, you can choose whichever company you want yo work for, this is all subjective. however, the message is strong here to not let coworkers get too close. if you feel like you need to be cautious, do not doubt it at all. jobs where you can work independently or remotely may be good for you. i think you enjoy the responsibilities and the isolation you can get from those jobs. you can really focus on your own work instead of worrying about socialising and networking (which are important, don't get me wrong but i think you are not the type of person to be heavily involved in such activities).
technology and IT. jobs where you're required to use your brain. you need mental and intellectual stimulation so jobs which require lots of brainwork would be great for you. also jobs which require you to have a sharp and quick mind, and even a quick tongue. a job where you need to respond quickly, on the spot. maybe as a lawyer or judge. i think you are the type of person who tends to avoid making decisions but i believe the best career for you would involve you needing to make decisions as a part of it.
i also see jobs where you can provide stability for others as well as providing stability for yourself. this could mean that setting up your own business to help or guide others would give you a lot of satisfaction. such as a personal trainer, life coach, dietician etc anything that will allow you to improve the lives of others. you could even be thinking of starting your own sales company. i'm seeing a position where you are calm, smart, and powerful. logical and rational, and also honest. key organisational abilities here, like secretarial duties. a job where you can keep things organised tightly.
there is a huge duality here. like, i see you craving to be a bold and confident person in your ideal job, someone who is admired by others but in reality you are afraid to be that person. maybe you are not used to being in the spotlight and you're not ready to start now. so you must find a balance between the two. you can be confident without needing to be in the spotlight. i think your biggest fear in regards to career is conflict. you want to avoid uneasy workplace relationships. you don't want to be too close with your coworkers but at the same time you don't want to be left out. you want to perform well and show off how good you are at what you do but you're terrified of other people being jealous of you. there's not much i can say other than jealousy is often rooted in workplaces. no matter where you work, there will always be others who are jealous of you, some places more than the next. however, what matter the most is your own comfort and confidence. don't admit to defeat out of fear of others. if you love a job. go for it. i'm literally hearing it right now. don't let your fear of others hold you back, but always be careful about what you share.
suggested careers/fields: IT, psychiatry, surgeon, engineer, affiliate marketing, life coach, personal trainer, fertility, army and police, investigations, detective, guide, translator, business job, nine to five, desk job, logistics, bargaining, vlogger, running your own business, innovation, writer, interior design.
cards: ace of swords, ace of pentacles, the magician, king of swords, five of swords, two of swords, nine of wands
🩶 𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙧
i cannot say this first paragraph is for all of you however, it will resonate with some of you. the career you have in mind right now, or the one you are currently in, is not the right one for you. i see there needs to be some change or transformation in your career. of course it is not easy to just change career. but if you feel this message is for you, it might be worth looking into a new career which is more worth your time and effort. there is a decision that needs to be made. if you're thinking of switching careers/field, this paragraph and reading is definitely for you.
overall, i'm seeing two different sides to this pile. one side is an authoritarian side, position of power and respect. while the other is more caring and nurturing. your ideal career could be either of those, or both. i see a number of you preferring to be in a job with explicit structure. a jobs that tells you what you need to do. so you know what you need to do every day and there is no confusion over tasks or responsibilities. but at the same time, you want to have some freedom. every day cannot be the same or you'll get bored. that is why is see jobs involved in childcare. you know your responsibilities in regards to caring for children, but with children, no day will be the same. this could also be caring for animals, elderly people, people with disabilities or other vulnerable people.
and although jobs where you can connect with children would be good, any job which can allow you to connect with others in general is a good choice. particularly, partnerships. a business partnership would be great as you can connect with others as well as structure your own enterprise. and since you rely on a structure from others to keep you in order, having other people work with you in an enterprise can keep you in line. also, if you know about the principal agent theory, i think you would perform well as an agent. you do well when performing tasks on behalf of a principal. in addition, when you are working for someone else, you know what you are doing, and what you need to achieve in order to satisfy them. whereas if you are working entirely for yourself, you might often feel confused about what needs to be done.
practical jobs which require thinking (but not too much thinking) would be great for you. you like to be actively involved, both physically and mentally, in your work which means repetitive jobs that have you on autopilot most of the time would be too draining and unsatisfying for you. but still, i think you would greatly appreciate professional settings and/or professional boundaries. i believe some of you may also work well in a field which is somehow connected to your past. for example, if you grew up with financial difficulties, you would be most satisfied in finance. or if you had a difficult childhood, then you would enjoy giving care to children. if you really enjoyed school, you might be most comfortable working in a school. it's that kind of theme and is entirely subjective to your own experiences. but something from your childhood connecting with your career is relevant.
one message here is to let go of insecurities and jealousy and imposter syndrome. because you want to be the best of the best, and you compare yourself to others a lot. you might often feel inclined to outdo others. it's a normal feeling, but the cards here are saying to let go of those thought habits. it will not bring you anything good. building up a successful and stealthy career for yourself will greatly be based on creating a foundation from your values as well as your passion. so don't sabotage yourself or others for your own success. keep in line with your morals. spiritual guidance also comes up here. so perhaps seek some in order to overcome these traits, and maybe consider it as a part of your career.
i can't tell your stance on risk, i feel it is a mixed bunch here. some of you may like taking risk while others do not. if you feel like a career which involves risk is something you are interested in, the cards do tell you that it is a very important decision, however, you must make calculated risks. don't just take the leap of faith. you need a thorough plan. i also see something creative, like art or writing, maybe even food. take it as it resonates and if you feel attracted to pile one also, give it a read because that is the creative pile.
suggested careers/fields: hierarchy, desk job, large corporations, teaching, childcare, primary school, paediatric, healthcare, hospital, banking, army, tax, career advisor, funeral director, financial advisor, insurance, software engineer, therapist, lecturer, spiritual guide, bookkeeping, church, electricity/energy, power plants, technology, chef.
cards: the lovers, death, king of pentacles, six of cups, four of pentacles, the hierophant, the fool, two of swords

Regressed Vox HCs!
(Actually had a lot more than I expected oops)
⚓️ Rarely ever regresses. Avoids it at all costs if he can but it always comes back cause bottling things up makes it worse! (he does not learn)
⚓️ Due to all the stress and pressure of being the main Vee in charge as well as having a literal monopoly over the TV industry he tends to regress really really tiny like he’s just a lil guy, if he were to guess he’d say he age regresses from 4-8 years old but it’s more likely 2-6 (tell him he’s a big boy regardless it makes him happy)
⚓️ If Vox can feel himself regressing he’ll quietly get to the most isolated area possible as quick as possible - he rather keep his regression private
⚓️ Complete 180 with how he normally acts. He’s quieter and more reserved like bro does not speak at all and keeps his distance
…Until he starts coming out of his shell that is!!
⚓️ When Vox is out of his shell and with somebody he’s comfortable with (Velvette probably), he is a rambler, a yapper even.
⚓️ He can barely talk however 😭 just babbling and stuttering and tripping over his words - he had so many speech impediments as a kid and that just comes right back to hit him in the face
⚓️ He does not care however and believes he is perfectly understandable!
⚓️ Sharks on the mind, drawing sail boats, knows a ton about marine life - idk if anybody else gets this vibe from him but I feel like his hometown would’ve been a small coastal village near a big city
⚓️ Favorite candy HAS to be those shark shaped gummies
⚓️ Has a lil sailor hat he likes to wear instead of his top hat :>
⚓️ Makes little hums, buzzes, and trills sounds similar to a TV or computer as a way to stim
⚓️ Doesn’t really understand know how to ask for something he struggles with communicating… so he bites! Hungry? Bite. Thirsty? Biting. Wanting attention? Your fingers are gone!
⚓️ Will also just… stare. His big ol eyes are constantly staring at his caregiver (similar to the random little kid who stares at you at a restaurant like you own them money) mostly does this cause he’s curious but also cause he just loves his caregiver C:
⚓️ Will shock himself for fun (it doesn’t harm him 80% of the time and he thinks it’s funny)
(Do not let him go near any outlets he’s gonna cause a power outage on purpose)
⚓️ Very very tantrum prone. Cries when he’s angry and when he’s sad and it doesn’t take a lot to push him over the edge. Will not understand why his favorite stuffed animal has to be taken away to be cleaned it’s the most excruciating 10 minutes of his life
⚓️ But sometimes he’ll just have bursts of pent up rage coming out randomly (from bottling it up) where he’s just screaming and crying and also doesn’t understand why :< feels really ashamed about it later so he needs constant reassurance that it’s okay to feel angry
⚓️ Being so fr we all know Vox is a lil pathetic so when he regresses that translates to a ball of nerves. He is sensitive and if left alone with his thoughts for too long he’s gonna start bawling. However he also cries when being told something like “I’m so proud of you!” “I love you” “Good boy!” He starts crying bc he’s not used to genuine affection, like he’s happy but malfunctioning at the same time
⚓️ Ironically, Vox doesn’t like using (modern) technology too much when regressed. He is easily overstimulated by flashing screens and loud sounds to the point where he has to turn his own brightness settings lower 😭
⚓️ occasionally he’ll play a video game but not really cause he’s either messing around on MS paint or playing snake on a Nokia phone (he likes chewing on Nokias)
⚓️ Vox is honestly a huge hypocrite lol, he’s all for modernization but he keeps a 1950s model TV in all its black-and-white glory specifically for when he age regressed cause of nostalgia.
⚓️ He has old VHS tapes of a show called “Lassie” that was really popular in the 50s (For anybody curious it was a live-action show about a Border Collie named Lassie who’d go on various adventures and save people from danger its a rlly wholesome show <3) Vox also loves Huckleberry Hound! Yet another example of blue cartoon dogs being loved no matter what generation they’re in!
⚓️ Loves being read to, easiest way to soothe Vox is by telling him a story - he’ll remember every single detail and repeat it to his caregiver later with much enthusiasm
⚓️ The original Charlie Brown comic strips are also one of Vox’s favorites, he likes how warm the art style feels and of course - who doesn’t love Snoopy!
(Vox might just be a dog and shark person idk)
⚓️ Vox loves eating Legos! They’re very crunchy colorful! :3
⚓️ Always needs teethers/pacifiers for reasons stated above
⚓️ When Vox gets tiny he’ll try to handle it himself for as long as he can but if he can’t he’ll begrudgingly go to Velvette. Or she’ll go to him Vox is ridiculously stubborn
⚓️ Velvette. Ohmfydo she’s freaking OUT/pos
⚓️ She regresses way more often than Vox does and Vox is always insisting to care for her. So when she sees him regressed it’s always a treat! Girl is gonna be doting on him the same way he dotes on her
⚓️ Vox is clinging to her. CLINGING to her. As soon as she sits down he’s on her lap or he’ll be constantly following her and holding her hand
⚓️ Vox when he’s little tends to be more, feminine(?) Gender is gendering he lowkey has some internalized issues with gender expression (pls bare with him 😭) but when he’s little (and with Velvette encouraging him ofc) he likes wearing those long flowy night gowns c: they’re just more comfortable than pants or shorts to him! Not that he doesn’t love wearing suits and bow ties - he is a distinguished gentleman even when little
⚓️ Vox is not a girly girl but he does love playing dress up or having tea parties… he will get shy and feel ashamed about liking those things cause “he’s supposed to like boy things” that kind of mindset gets shut down quickly by Velvette once she gives him the reassurances he needs (GENDER AFFIRMATION BEAM GO!!)
⚓️ Velvette has given him so many nicknames. Of course love, darling, and sweetheart being commonly used. But also nicknames like little prince or little inventor. The one that Velvette uses most often and makes Vox the most giddy is probably pup. Cause pup is what baby sharks are called! He is just a silly baby shark <3
These have been floating in my head for weeks now ahdbfbsjfnnd I need to share them before I spontaneously combusted
I am so. Soft for little Vox way more than I originally thought he’s mostly a caregiver in my book but he’s adorable a little <3
- 🔮
OK HEAR ME OUT I PERSONALLY SEE VOX AS A CAREGIVER
but bc of these hcs
I see him as a flip (cg lean)!!
these were amazing I approve

Recently I saw some news articles online claiming that an infant was jailed because its parents possessed a Bible in North Korea. And everybody’s eating that shit up
i think i do remember hearing somewhere that if the primary caregiver of a family goes to prison in north korea then the whole family goes with them so that they stay together as a social unit, but definitely don’t quote me on that because like 90% of what comes out about north korea is completely unable to be verified.
there also seems to be a massive industry of english language NGOs set up in South Korea to take advantage of that fact. they conduct “independent investigations” into human rights abuses in the DPRK and report their findings from these investigations to the U.N., which gives them more access to human rights grants and other massive funds.
the methodology for the investigations published by these NGOs is interviewing and giving surveys to a couple dozen north korean defectors. it pretty much starts and ends there. Yeonmi Park is a pretty notorious example of one of these defectors who found monetary incentive to lie and become a media figure, which is what she did. other defectors also usually aren’t going to have a positive opinion of the country considering they left in the first place (if you don’t count the people who defect back to north korea after living in south korea for a while). it’s not exactly rigorous investigation, and there’s usually not a verifiable way to prove that what they’re saying is true.
in the case of religious stuff specifically, north korea has a long history of being harassed by christian missionaries as well as a christian-led reactionary backlash to the revolution that makes this even more complicated. people seem to think that north korea destroys all christians on sight because they hate God and Freedom and are Satan Loving Communists or some shit but historically christianity has existed in NK entirely as political opposition. i made another post on that here (x)
but generally speaking if you google something and it was first reported in the New York Post it’s safe to assume it’s fake and laugh about it
