Soeda’s humorous characters with a somehow disturbing aura speak about the anger and sadness of humankind who are exhausted in mind and body by the modern world , sometimes weeping with them, and at other times healing them. Her paintings, which are created by selecting motifs from a large number of preliminary sketches and painted with emotional brushstrokes , clearly show the power of the artist herself. The idea is to take my paintings to the ping pong tables where you enter CSM and see if anyone walking by asks questions to get to know the artists in the community better, how easily artists can make themselves seen, how people react to the change in the environment, if they engage with the art or not, and see if artists can take up public spaces without getting sent home… (not selling the art )
